Shirley, sorry about the delay in getting the message to see the doctor. Just can't stand all the automated messages that never seem to get where they need to go. Prayer that the antibiotics help.

Amazing Grace at the Roman Coliseum
Please look up the site below, turn up your speakers and listen. This is wonderful. Consider that this is the place where many Christians were fed to the lions. Il Divo - Amazing Grace
Sharon, Wanda and I absolutely love Il Divo's rendition of this favorite hymn. Bet I've never told you all....I have a big chunk of the Colisseum. When we were there when I was a toddler, there weren't laws about picking up souvenirs, so my daddy did!
Just getting on to say good night. We are home. Had a great time. Jacob did very well with his program. Then we skipped the cookies they were serving and headed to Braums for ice cream. Yummy!
Sharon, glad you enjoy Il Divo, almost as good as TRAIN??? Yes, Lynn and I went bonkers last year when we heard them sing AMAZING GRACE. Goose bumps all over!
Good Night Sorry to have missed most, or, every one, Just now starting to read back to post #440 which is about when I left for the afternoon. I have a little sleepover guest now sound asleep ☺ xo Sleep Well God Bless Us, Every One ♥
Glad Granny Riffe's surgery is over and that she will rehabilitate near home. It will be easier on everyone in that family:)
Shirley, our sweet "newbie"...you will have so many prayers being said for your wellnss tonight, that the Lord will probably fall asleep listening to us:)
Paula, your Mom's home is so beautiful. Someone will be lucky to live there...looks like a nice neighborhood.
Miss Jo, when we all go to pray for your good test results tonight, the Lord will wake up and say "Oh, no, not again!" But when he realizes who you are, he will be happy to "LET IT BE SO".
I feel badly that nothing was said tonight from 'NCTC' about our Deb's passing...her wonderful picture on the page right where a new thread is announced, should be a reminder of our loss. It is a loss for NCTC, too.
well it seems like one of the local news stations is having the same problem with emails as I am, have received it 6 times....sorry to those who received my email 3 times:)what can I say technology...got to love it..also on this new thread, have to sign in name and password every time before I post..so I am out of here...good night..prayers for all
House is awesome, Paula, classy site there by the realtors, showing classy work by the family.
WOOF that's ridiculous about Shirley's doctor's and nurse's cyberspaces ineptness...they better be hoping any delays have not been critical. Shirley - praying for good results from the medicines.
Just think, once upon a time the sniper was someone's sweet little baby boy....what a miserable situation when someone ends up ruining so many people's lives.
I add my thanks to everyone's, for all the efforts regarding Deb's death and arrangements.
Best wishes for all, good doctor's reports and recovery and all that, and that Andrea aces that pharmacology test.
Wanda I will deliver the message in the morning. He sleeps like a log here! xo ☺ ♥ Good Night, all
Good Morning, Everyone! Gracious, I got home from school last night, and we hadn't eaten dinner yet (not hungry enough), so got dinner going, and Hubby wanted me to watch TV with him, so ate in front of the TV; after dinner, promptly fell asleep. Just woke up a few minutes ago! Sorry I'm just now getting back here! Had a message at school to go see my teacher-to-be for all my upcoming classes (she's really nice!). The schedule was messed up in the computer, and I won't have a Monday class until the second 6 weeks. :o] Boy, THANK GOD for student loans, because by the time I left the bookstore, I had $300 worth of books and equipment!!! Still need to find some earphones--SHARON, any advice? (The earphones they had were really cheap and not too sturdy.) Will be mighty glad to be actually practicing some transcription, though--finally!! Think I did OK on the test. My brain was spinning by the time it was over! It was on Endocrine Drugs and Chemotherapy Drugs. Lots of the drug generic names didn't seem to have any similarity at ALL to the Brand Names! Hate when that happens! (Example: generic name, aminoglutethimide. Brand Name: Cytraden. Usually there's SOME connection--Example: generic name: methotrexate. Brand name: Trexall.) See what I mean?! Will be SO relieved when these medical classes are done! Makes it difficult when you aren't actively working with what you're trying to learn. I actually think Med school would be easier! Plus, so much information, so little time! Phew!!!! Long story short, THANK YOU ALL for the prayers for me!!!
Oh--here's the 'Quote of the Week' from my school. Very good advice, and SO funny!
"You have to stay in shape. My grandmother, she started walking 5 miles a day when she was 60. She's 97 today, and we don't know where the h*## she is."
GOOD MORNING NORMA AND ANDREA... It is a cool, rainy 46° here near the EMPTY nest. Rain means that Lynn and I won't have to battle leaves today:)
Know what you mean about the names of drugs. GeeGee has had some of her meds changed to generic and they don't sound anything like the original and look completely different! Makes it a little difficult for me when I fill her PILL PACK!
WOW! ANDY!---You all must be so PROUD!!---Husband's ENERGIZER is working--student loan & GOOD GRADE---what more would a MOMSTER GAL want!---I feel so proud for you--'YOU GOT SPUNK' & that means you are the best in EAGLE LANGUAGE!---YOU GO GIRL!!
Wanda, I know EXACTLY what you mean! Kaiser Permanente often changes manufacturer on my prescriptions, and have to re-learn what the crazy things look like! Was surprised to learn that there's a law in nearly every state that IF there's a generic version of the drug prescribed, the pharmacy MUST give you a generic, UNLESS the Dr. notes something like "do not substitute" on the prescription. Learn something new every day! BTW, about exam grades--hopefully I will be able to find out my grade for Anatomy/Physiology on Friday night. Otherwise, gotta make an appt. to find out. Mema Jo, my prayers are with you today, too, for your MRI. ((hugs))
THANK YOU, JIM, SUZANNE, AND GENE, FOR YOUR SERVICE TO THE GOOD OLD USA! IT'S MUCH APPRECIATED! HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY.
Hmmm...Applebees, huh? Sounds good, Hubby is an Army vet, but the closest Applebee's is about a 30 minute drive away. Maybe, though... We're meeting Hubby's sister for lunch today. MTBR...

will try to fire up the wind machine to send it west, but I like it, keeps the raked leaves from flying around, and just fits the overall tone for the day:(:(
Norma, thanks for the encouragement! Sure hope & pray the rain situation works out for you! You're right, by the way--Hubby's new battery must be an Energizer Lithium! He's supposed to be taking it easy for a few days so his incision can heal, but may have to hog-tie him! He's got energy to burn! (Wish I did too!)
Sorry Jim I'm a day late you usually get a card from my Marine Corp hubby and me. So a day late and on here HAPPY 324TH BRITHDAY USMC and the usual word Semper Fi
11/11/09: We saw some fishing action from our eagles, as they brought back a meal to the platform.
Blackwater Refuge will have its Christmas Open House on Dec. 5. This is a great time to see the fall migration at the Refuge and shop for nature gifts.
...Yawn...Oh--sorry! That's me, Dana! Hubby's battery almost ran out, but almost doesn't count! Just good they found out when they did! He was 'running on fumes', so to speak. No obvious symptoms, either!
Good Morning, Megan! Like your bright & cheery sunflowers! Please excuse me while I stumble to the kitchen for a blast of caffeine. My (TRAIN) caboose is dragging! ;o]
Ok just reading back: Andrea prayers for your hubby's pacemaker placement. A close friend of mine has a friend that St. Judes actually went to Winchester Hospital and put his pacemaker in. He had one but wasn't working right. So St. Jude's came up to Winchester did the surgery and he is fine now.
...the coffee's doing...Wow, Dana, glad to hear that the friend of your friend is OK! When you think about it, it's truly amazing what God has let people in the medical profession do for others. Those devices are incredible!
Andrea I love the part where he picked up the BIBLE him wanting the LORDS words not man's. Then it fell open to just the right place. Some people don't believe in that kind of happenings. I CERTAINLY DO!! So greatful the LORD give your hubby what he needed.
Good morning. My brother, Fred Hunter, is a Vietnam veteran. He was in the Marines. He and his wife Mary live in North Carolina.
I am up for a little while, but think I will go back to bed.
George woke me early this morning. When he wants his breakfast, he sits right by my head and purrs loudly. Really loudly. If that does not work, I get a wet nose all over my face. See you later.
Challenger was just on Fox a.m. show, my friend called me, and said quick eagle on Fox...Challenger was at his keeper's daughters 'wedding last week....flew the wedding rings to the couple, his s-i-l is an Army Ranger being deployed to Afghanistan in a few weeks
Good morning from soggy Randallstown! Happy Veterans Day to Jim, Gene, Suzanne, Mr. Bookworm, Ed and my hubby Steve who was 6 years in the Army (2 witht he 82nd Airborne)!!!! Hope all is well with everyone today. So glad to hear the positive news on Granny! And Sharon, thanks for the Il Divo link...beautiful rendition! Having a chunk of the Colosseum, Lynn! How cool...if only it could talk! (or better that it can't)Hope this rain is making it far enough west to keep you inside away from leaf duty today! Loretta, I hope you and Fubby go for dinner. Steve won't go. Said he'd feel like he was mooching. Honestly, that man sometimes.... Jo and Shirley...prayers are with you today for sure!
Tell Steve to get his butt to Applebee's ...mooching...indeed. it's the least that can be done for a vet. They'll just write off those meals anyway, may as well take advantage. It's a nice gesture on the part of Applebee's.
Sharon, Pat's voice still isn't all there, but he says he really doesn't want to cancel any more concerts. And now he is singing Led Zeppelin. Tough song to sing when your voice is 100%, he sounds good.
they are doing great, got to see Ben for a few minutes yesterday, friend and I were on our way back from Baltimore and swung by the house..M&M were still at school:(
Megan, I got a twitter picture from Train at the Howard Stern show, that they were going on live. Hopefully, Pat's voice will be back before I see them in concert. I just hope he isn't doing permanent damage to it!
Good Morning... and once again Thanks to all our Veterans, our list on here is growing! I think Loretta's Frank is a Veteran also... and God Bless all the Families of Veterans too
James says Good Morning to all my Eagle Pals and wants to see what a Magpie looks like so I am going to show him my avatar after this post
We are headed to Waffle House to meet his Nana(maternal "real" Nana) for Brunch and then back to his house.
Best Wishes for a Good Day, hope to catch up a little later. xo ☺ ♥
AHA- there you are Sharon:) Of course I should have realized you would know Pat's location...lol He took it pretty easy on the Zeppelin song, and then sang Hey Soul Sister. You could definitely hear his voice is strained, even when he was talking.
Summer is over and daylight saving time has started. After the initial shock of the keepers arriving an hour late, the pandas have adjusted to the new time frame. November is the month that our pandas usually become more active again. They shed their summer lethargy and begin to increase their activity and appetite. From June to November, Tian Tian and Mei Xiang usually loose 10 percent of their body weight, while Tai Shan loses 20 percent, leaving him looking long in the leg and lanky. Based on past physicals we know that he is in good health during this seasonal slump. This year, Tai has been given medication to prevent any irritation to his digestive system which was noted to be present during his down time last year. Tai is eating his produce, and consuming more biscuits. Over the past month, he has also enjoyed chewing on mulberry branches, interacting with them for long periods.
Tian Tian and Mei Xiang, while housed together each morning, are still choosing to nap rather than interact, this will change as the temperatures drop into their winter pattern. All the pandas will begin to dramatically increase their bamboo consumption. It is amazing once our pandas start to enter their winter pattern how quickly they gain weight again. It still is hard to believe that any animal and especially a bear, could thrive on bamboo and actually gain weight on it.
oh my gosh this is so creepy....I am hear birds, wind and FOOTSTEPS coming out of my computer speakers!!! I've had this happen before but never footsepts!
Lynne, somewhere on my blog in older posts, probably last Dec. there are some wreath pictures. I also make swags. I make a 7' custom roping every year for one family, it's hard on the hands so I only do it for them. There might even be a picture of that on my site.
papers rustling, more shuffling. My neighbor in the apartment over the garage is not home, so it can't be an interference from his place, and my neighbor across the drive is **a squeaking noise now** on her phone cause I just tried to call her and her line is busy so if it was her house, I suppose I'd hear her talking..
Megan, I found the pictures...really beautiful stuff! Makes me miss working at the flower shop and greenhouse that I worked for years ago. Meanwhile I still have sounds. Horn honking now! Or I am "hearlucinating" due to too much time on my hands. I NEED A JOB!!!
OK this is getting CRAZY....just heard a BIG CHOPPER through the speakers. And although I have not adjusted the sound at all, the volume is about 3 times more than usual and it just SCARED THE POO OUTA ME. But this is a good thing because I've been unable to figure why my volume has been so low lately. Poor Steve is likely to come home to find me in front of the computer with a glazed looked, drooling, and repeating over and over 'I hear sounds, I hear sounds...'
Good VETERANS' DAY morning to all. A huge THANK YOU to all Vets everywhere as well as all active-duty personnel currently serving to protect our freedoms. Special thanks to our Momster/Dadster and spousal Vets! Won't name them all again. Guess I SHOULD add my ex---who just retired last year from USAF Active Guard Reserve after 42 yrs., and my SIL who is disabled from non-combat injury after 14 yrs. in the Air National Guard.
Good morning! And to all our veterans....THANK YOU! BLESS YOU!
Shirley.... was too tired to on long last night. Horrified at the doctors and his office negligence. Prayers that the antibiotics do their thing!
Paula.....the house looks fantastic. Hope the right buyer comes along soon.
Beginning to feel the pressure of getting things accomplished for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Brother called and we are going to his place for a weekend in early December. Groan! Want to be with brother and sister, but it is a 9 hour drive. So we drive for a day, spend two days, and another day driving back.
Leave Friday for retreat. Will be back Sunday. Really looking forward to the weekend. Maybe it will get me in the right mood for the holidays.
Beverly....so glad everything is going well with Granny. Prayers that this continues.
Asked Will about the strange sounds, Lynne. He said that if anyone near you has the power turned up on a device like a CB radio, your speakers might be picking it up. He said that they might not have the volume turned up, just the power.
I do remember when our next-door neighbors (not the same ones with the walkie-talkie) were picking up Tom's CB radio on their television. They got really angry about it. They could be grouchy, but I wouldn't want that to happen to me, either.
I'm with Wanda....rain, rain....here to stay....give me a break for at least one more day! Of course, more leaves have fallen........:( At least indoor work doesn't need good weather....so I can take as much time as Iwant doing it----like vacuuming during TV commercials!!!
BTW, if you go to Radio Shack, take a copy of the ad with you. Some of their employees are smart, some aren't. (If anyone asks, I didn't say that. . . )
The clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) is one of the most charismatic and least understood of Asia's many beautiful cat species. Little is known about the behavior or status of these shy and elusive cats in the wild. Only six clouded leopards ever have been radio-collared, and no systematic survey has ever been attempted to determine the number of these felids remaining in the wild.
Rampant habitat loss and fragmentation throughout the clouded leopard forest habitat in Southeast Asia and active poaching of clouded leopards are causing a decline in their already uncertain population. Clouded leopard pelts have increased dramatically in the illegal wildlife trade due to active poaching in Asia.
Unfortunately, populations in zoos are also struggling. Breeding clouded leopards in captivity has been a challenge the world over, primarily due to male aggression, decreased breeding activity between paired animals, and high cub mortality. The National Zoo has been working in partnership with the Zoological Park Organization of Thailand, the Nashville Zoo and the Clouded Leopard Species Survival Plan to develop a clouded leopard breeding program in Thai zoos (largest population of confiscated clouded leopards in Southeast Asia).
To date, 39 cubs have been born, and six cubs have been imported to the United States for genetic augmentation of the North American Clouded Leopard SSP population. The National Zoo also has been working with the Thailand Department of National Parks and Wildlife and the nonprofit organization WildAid in Khao Yai National Park to assess the numbers of clouded leopards and other carnivores living in nature. A major component to this project is the training of Thai forest rangers to monitor wild carnivores and prevent poaching in the parks. These collaborative and international projects for clouded leopards in Thailand serve as a model for conserving this treasured species and carnivores throughout the world.
Good morning everybody. I just went to the Veteran's Day Parade in Princeton to see Justin march with JROTC. It is flipping cold out there.
On the interference thing, I had a cordless keyboard and mouse that my neighbor's ham radio would cut off every time he got on it. I had to switch to corded because I couldn't even work when that was happening.
Believe it or not, Jo, I am a poet! But not sure what you are referring to...??? MAny years ago when youngest was a teen, she was on cordless phone out on deck talking to her BFF, and I heard their entire conversation coming through the police scanner! I have a problem now with one of my cordless phones clicking ocnstantly when netbook is on...finally traced it to the wireless mouse!! Norma, reboot and your avatars will come back!
Lynn, I remember when I was a little girl they used to call it Armistice Day! I'm sorry I missed Jack Hanna, too. I used to love watching him when he came on Carosn! Which I used to love to watch with my Grandparents (who I miss so much I just teared up. SHIRLEY!!!! Oh my gosh I don't know why I didn't think of that! There is an AM radio station right across the street, the towers are probably only a 100 yards from here! I haven't had a chance to completely read all the stuff your linked me to but I will and thank you so much for helping! I can't do the thing with the speaker wires..I have a laptop. But I will read and surely find some help!
Sharon, have yourself a cup of hot chocolate to warm up!
Mits, so interesting about the C-Leopards. I have not been to the NZ since I was in high school...30yrs ago! If memory serves (and sometimes it doesn't!) I think it may have been not long after the pair of Giant Pandas arrived. I am thinking me and hubby might need to take a ride down this weekend!
Mits, will the cloudeds born at the research facility be brought to NZ after weaning, or will they go to some other zoo?? Jack said that a pelt would sell for $80,000 on the black market. Unbelievable. Thanks for info about them.
Last night when I went to check my VM (I have to dial a number to do so and it's in my speed dial so I just hit a button) someone actually said HELLO just before my voice prompt! My friend Gail has stopped using the video baby monitors as often because apparently OTHER people can pick up the signal and pictures! There is a lot to be said about technology...good and bad! Lynn, you are a poet, really?
Jo, you are a poet also...check out you birthday greeting to Annie.
Lolly, your Jacob's remark about "of course he was good", reminds me of my grandaughter..she was a very pretty little thing and was told that often, so on evening we were at an auction and a lady told her she was a pretty little girl, Jillian then said, "I know, I was born that way" (as if it was an affliction):)
Gene and I use walkie-talkies to talk to each other when one of us is in the house and the other is in the shop...we often hear others talking, probably truckers from I-81 on their CBs.
Lynne our first set of giant's came during the 70's, as a gift from the Chinese government after Pres Nixon visited there, last one died in 1999...Mei and Tian came in December of 2000
close enough Lynne...can't remember the exact spelling right...they had about 6 cubs, but were either still born or died within a few days.....The Asian Trail is only about 3 yrs old...much has changed and some the same....
Lynne, you would be surprised how often you would use the walkie-talkies. When we have to take the Eagle Express to be serviced (in Frederick) I have to follow Gene in the car and we use them then to chat. He will tell me a minute or two before we have to make a turn or exit (I can never remember the way). He also uses them with friends when they are hunting. No one can get lost if they have a walkie-talkie:)
Happy Veterans Day Everyone! My Frank is a Vet. He was drafted during the Bay of Pigs fiasco. Since he was in printing, they wanted him to invent a non-electric small press to make copies in the field. Since War never started, they didn't have to go to Cuba.
Paula, didn't get to say last night how great the house looks! You guys worked hard & did and awesome job. I mentioned a couple days ago that I hope NCTC NEVER removes Deb's eagle pic from Blog page, but I don't know where to send that request.
Lynn, I don't know if the solutions will work if you have wireless. But you might be able to use it on the wireless system somewhere. Will's gone now, so can't ask him.
You might try calling the radio station. Would think they want to be good neighbors.
Lynne, Gene hunts deer. He hasn't shot one in many years. Don't think he has the heart for it anymore?? He loves to get with his buddies and tramp through the woods.

I can't quit watching it. Chunk of the coliseum?? WOW!
Ah, yes. A long week for all.
Turning my light off but the night light is on for others. Andy can turn on the security system when she returns from school.

MEMA JO--Keeping you in my thoughts today---MRI goes well!
Beautiful house PAULA!---Bet it will sell soon!---You kids must be so proud---all the work you did!
SISSY---ALL those prayers for GRANNY!---HOORAY!---& she will be able to get rehab in BLUEFIELD!
She will be much more comfortable there--GOD BLESS!
SHIRLEY---Wishing you the best today---maybe this time the Dr will get your appt straight!---
Sending prayers with you!
YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT!---NPR just gave salute to BRETT FAVRE!!---He plays for DEB'S team---the VIKINGS---which I had adopted from her!---Thanks DEB!!--
TWO EAGLES at BWO!!

LMBO...thanks for the giggle, Andrea!
Paula, the house is just beautiful!! Prayers that it will sell quickly for you. You all did a wonderful job on it!
Shirley, my prayers will go with you today--I'll be with you in spirit! ((hugs))
MORNIN' WANDA---Did you think of any more vets we should add to our list?
No, Norma...don't know of anymore. Maybe Sissy's Tom and Ceil's Jim??
They will let us know when they come on.
It has rained here too--wet newspaper---NPR Predicting rain in the eastern section of WV!
FOLKS are scheduled to get my lawn in shape--trim & clean up! Also--garage coming for my car!--pray the rain stops---
Thanks--will check w/SISSY!
MTBR...

Wow, Helen, send some of that rain my way, OK? Then I won't have to water my patio plants, and can study longer!
will try to fire up the wind machine to send it west, but I like it, keeps the raked leaves from flying around, and just fits the overall tone for the day:(:(
Good morning everyone and Thank you Veterans of the USA for our freedom
Shirley prayers the antibiotics does the trick.
Praying for Mrs. Riffe's recovered, thankful all went well and that she will be closer to family.
Judie very happy pacemaker placement went very well. I too like the BIBLE fulling open to his
LORDS WORDS.
Paula the house is beautiful--prayers for a quick sale.
MORNIN' DANA--MITS--& GLO!---
Thanks DANA!--Will add ED to our VETERAN'S list!
No problem, Helen--Hubby said the 7-day forecast for our area included a chance of rain. Just didn't really notice exactly when.
Sorry Jim I'm a day late you usually get a card from my Marine Corp hubby and me. So a day late and on here HAPPY 324TH BRITHDAY USMC and the usual word Semper Fi
Well, I've pulled quite a 'Margy' here--really MUST go get some coffee! Will BBIALW--really!

Nest Update
11/11/09:
We saw some fishing action from our eagles, as they brought back a meal to the platform.
Blackwater Refuge will have its Christmas Open House on Dec. 5. This is a great time to see the fall migration at the Refuge and shop for nature gifts.
Morning all:)
Happy Veteran's Day.
Hey Sharon, I'm listening to the satellite radio and Train is coming in live to sing....
...Yawn...Oh--sorry! That's me, Dana! Hubby's battery almost ran out, but almost doesn't count! Just good they found out when they did! He was 'running on fumes', so to speak. No obvious symptoms, either!
ANDREA---What is your husband's name?---Will add it to our VETERAN'S LIST!!
Glo once a Marine "Always a Marine"
The coffee is calling me to the kitchen--really AM leaving for a bit now! LOL :oD
Thanks, Norma-- Ken Young
Good Morning, Megan! Like your bright & cheery sunflowers! Please excuse me while I stumble to the kitchen for a blast of caffeine. My (TRAIN) caboose is dragging! ;o]
Ok just reading back: Andrea prayers for your hubby's pacemaker placement. A close friend of mine has a friend that St. Judes actually went to Winchester Hospital and put his pacemaker in. He had one but wasn't working right. So St. Jude's came up to Winchester did the surgery and he is fine now.
MORNIN' GLO & MEGAN!---Any other husbands or wives serve in military???---w/add to list!
...the coffee's doing...Wow, Dana, glad to hear that the friend of your friend is OK! When you think about it, it's truly amazing what God has let people in the medical profession do for others. Those devices are incredible!
There was 1 EAGLE & then 2 at BWO this am---think they may still be there!---Haven't seen OUR LIBERTY & spouse??---ho!
Car picked up---now wonder about yard work?---
Andrea I love the part where he picked up the BIBLE him wanting the LORDS words not man's. Then it fell open to just the right place. Some people don't believe in that kind of happenings. I CERTAINLY DO!! So greatful the LORD give your hubby what he needed.
maybe bbl need to get leg up
Good morning.
Jack Hanna on GMA.
Also, Happy Birthday to my Annie
Challenger was just on Fox a.m. show, my friend called me, and said quick eagle on Fox...Challenger was at his keeper's daughters 'wedding last week....flew the wedding rings to the couple, his s-i-l is an Army Ranger being deployed to Afghanistan in a few weeks
LET US SALUTE OUR VETERANS TODAY!

I can just see Challenger now.....what a bird:), he was even doing a little eagle chatting..
MORNIN' SHIRLEY---I enjoy JACK HANNA too!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNIE!!
Tough song to sing when your voice is 100%, he sounds good.
hoddies were just at Finland..flew off just as I was bringing it back up...
MORNIN' LYNN2---Wrong approach!!---just tell STEVE you are taking him to dinner tonight (PERIOD)---forget the freebie stuff!---ho!
Morning, all.

Happy Veterans Day, and thank you to all who have served!
I'll get to see mine on Saturday...Cohen turns 4...can hardly believe it.
does not seem possible...time flys
MORNIN' PAULA!---I am anxious to get a good look at DIEGO---BAI is either hovering over him or covering him up with bamboo--TOO ADORABLE for words---
Megan, I got a twitter picture from Train at the Howard Stern show, that they were going on live.
Best Wishes for a Good Day, hope to catch up a little later.
xo ☺ ♥
James says he wants to go on an Eagle Trip ☺
night time at Finland nest
AHA- there you are Sharon:) Of course I should have realized you would know Pat's location...lol
He took it pretty easy on the Zeppelin song, and then sang Hey Soul Sister. You could definitely hear his voice is strained, even when he was talking.
Well, there it is, James has called it-ROAD TRIP!!!
Eagles at BWO are gone
Wanda
James would like you to tell the Captain that his name is not GEORGE, it is JAMES ☺ xo
We're out the door....
Oh, he loves all the avatars on here..he learned a new word today
♥ ♥
I know Megan! Norma, I like the way you think!
Hi Margy, have fun today!
floragirl: James says "Good Comment...
ROAD TRIP. "
Megan, I hear you do some really beautiful Christmas wreaths! Any other winter decorations or anything?
Panda Update November 10, 2009
There might even be a picture of that on my site.
haunted????
yes, Megan does the most beautiful Christmas wreaths around
papers rustling, more shuffling.
Good morning again. Back from our nap.
Lynne, if someone has left a walkie-talkie on or has a baby monitor in their house, maybe something in your house is picking it up.
Rus had a police scanner, and I remember hearing conversations in my neighbor's house because they had left a child's walkie-talkie on.
Shirley, interesting thought. My next closest neighbors are about 100 yards from here. He's a cop and maybe they have a scanner.
Good wet & windy Wednesday morning all!
Just taking my time doing things
Bless all Veterans today - and every day!
Andrea Love your quote of the week about grandma's walk! lol
Can't imagine how beautiful Challenger was at the wedding! That was such a fantastic idea.
Happy Birthday Annie! Hope all your wishes come true on this special day for you
Yum, Waffle House...
Golly, Lynne, there has to be a technical explanation.
Haqppy Birthday to beautiful Annie, proud mommy of Maggie, Molly and Ben!!
Jacob was so cute last night. I told him he did a good job and the program was great. His response, "Of course it was." We all died laughing.
Time to get busy since we were gong all afternoon and evening. Have things to do!
Have a great day! I will be peeking in occasionally.
Of course, more leaves have fallen........:(
At least indoor work doesn't need good weather....so I can take as much time as Iwant doing it----like vacuuming during TV commercials!!!
Lynne, this might be interesting to you:
Computer Interference
Lynne, try bunching up your speaker cords. I think they act as antennas.
Lynne,
Will says this is what you need.
Radio Shack
He also says you can file a complaint with the FCC, because if someone is interfering with your reception, they are breaking the law.
Drop all of this info on hubby. Might impress him.
BTW, if you go to Radio Shack, take a copy of the ad with you. Some of their employees are smart, some aren't. (If anyone asks, I didn't say that. . . )
Did You Know.......World War I ended on this day in 1918 with the signing of the armistice between the Allies and Germany.
as Johnny Carson would say...."I did not know that":)
HELP---I have lost all the avatars!!--how to get them back?
Boy Hedgie - you're a poet and didn't know it! lol
I can eat no more - 11:30 was the deadline. I am not a breakfast person until 10 or 11! More of a Brunchie!
Going to go get ready but will be back before I leave - If I remember! lol
Jack Hanna was on Letterman last night, too. He had the most beautiful Clouded Leopard cub....said there are none left in the wild.....so sad.
darn sorry I missed that Lynn..Clouded are one of the species on Asian Trail
Norma try hitting your refresh button
History of Veteran's Day
You all are going to wish you had not taught me how to do a tiny url.
facts from the NZ....on cloudeds
Headed over to Blackboard to work on assignments. BBL.
I remember when you were having that problem, Sharon
Thanks for info about them.
they areeeeeeeeeee back
Last night when I went to check my VM (I have to dial a number to do so and it's in my speed dial so I just hit a button) someone actually said HELLO just before my voice prompt!
Cool-----Howard Co., MD has banned kids under 18 from using tanning beds!! Wish I could convince my youngest to stop.
They probably will go to other zoo's..the ones we have get along, but no babies yet
Good history lesson, Lynne. Thanks. I am so glad that the feds returned the holiday to the day it was initially intended to memorialize!
Gene and I use walkie-talkies to talk to each other when one of us is in the house and the other is in the shop...we often hear others talking, probably truckers from I-81 on their CBs.
Lynne our first set of giant's came during the 70's, as a gift from the Chinese government after Pres Nixon visited there, last one died in 1999...Mei and Tian came in December of 2000
Mei and Tian are on a 10 year loan
Norma must have gotten her avatars back....for a moment, I thought she was talking about Lib & Belle:)
yeah so did I Wanda:)
Wanda, I often wish Steve and I had walkie talkies for the same reason!
Yes Mits, it would have been then...Sing Sing and Ling Ling I think!
mama humming bird off the nest, hope to see the new baby this time!
Candy is getting heavy rain, expected to last for 24 hrs.
darn, she came back but no feeding...she must have had to go potty.
close enough Lynne...can't remember the exact spelling right...they had about 6 cubs, but were either still born or died within a few days.....The Asian Trail is only about 3 yrs old...much has changed and some the same....
LET US SALUTE OUR VETERANS!
JIM
SUZANNE
GENE
EDWARD MEYER
KEN YOUNG
STEVE
next veteran--please add
so is ocean city...coastal flooding, winds and rain...
Great idea for hunting! What does Gene hunt?
Gotta do my hair and visit GeeGee.
Have a good afternoon:)
BBL
Still need to do the Blackboard assignments.
Norma, would add if I could!!! How??
Hope Gee Gee is feeling well!
LOLLY---Sorry I missed you--JACOB is so cool!---but you already knew that!--ho!---Have a FUN afternoon!
Lynne, Gene hunts deer. He hasn't shot one in many years. Don't think he has the heart for it anymore?? He loves to get with his buddies and tramp through the woods.
I am watching the Sidney nest cam, there are two eagles in nest moving sticks around.
Wanda, the big trip is coming up soon, isn't it??
Veteran--Fred Hunter--my brother.
I haven't seen Mei and Tian yet.......grandma didn't get zoo duty; girls went with aunt and uncle and I think school field trips.
Yep, he leaves next Wed or Thurs.
Taking Dustin up this Fri, Sat. and Sun. so he can see the camp and get the feel of hunting.
Later...
If you need an eagle fix the two eagles are in Sidney nest again. They are fighting over stick placement. too funny
