New thread.

Still working on the cam freeze.

Hi, Everyone,
I made it home from school OK. Had a really good time in class! Sharon, you'll relate to this--I got to transcribe 3 Progress Notes, and an Emergency Room Note! After a 4-1/2 hour class, I'm getting used to my new foot pedal, and am really enjoying what I'm doing! I can tell I'm really going to love Medical Transcription! Got all my homework for the week turned in. I can relax for a bit before hitting the hay.
I'm SO glad you all had such a good time at the luncheon in Deb's memory! I'm sure she was smiling down on you. I sat and watched my birdy friends outside, and read the poem Chrissy wrote for her.
Margy, I saw a license plate frame that SO reminded me of you! I was ROFLMBO!!! It's: "Go ahead and call 9-1-1...It's my day off!" BTW, LOVE your avatar! Beautiful picture!
Sharon and Sissy, how is Granny Riffe? Haven't had time to read back too far. Have been praying for her! God bless her!
Did see that Oprah will be quitting her show in 2010. Good! I've liked her less and less lately. She acts as if she just owns everybody, and I really don't like her attitude. If she gets her own network started, I will just block it on my DirecTV so I don't have to watch it!
Sharon, I'm hearing a really LOUD TRAIN whistle! Won't be long now, will it?!!
Well, it's insanely late, so I'll go now and try to unwind. Prayers being said for everyone; the night light is on, brighter than ever, the porch light will see you coming, and the eye scanner is enabled. Love all of you guys! Sleep tight, and God bless. :o]

Ms Bookworm said...

P.S.~~I'm pulling a Margy here! Diann, while reading back on the blog in a futile effort to catch up, I saw your comments about driving on the Interstate. I take the freeway (as we call them here in So. Calif.) to school. Got on our 57 fwy. to go to school, and it was a parking lot! Took me 40 minutes to go 4-1/2 miles! WOOF!!
Wish I could've taken a nice country road through farm country!

* Good Morning Everyone *

We have a skyful of stars here, and the eagles in Maine are calling.

☺ and it's RED FRIDAY

going out to check for planets and stars

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Good morning my wonderful eagle buds!! Didn't get on yesterday, sorry bout that. When I start talking to you guys, I can't stop, then I get behind on work.

Hard time for us this week. 11/20/1980 was the day of our fire when Adam and Aaron died along with our friends, Lori and Punkin Glass. It was the Thursday before Thanksgiving. I think I have a harder time on that day (Thursday before Thanksgiving) than I do 11/20 sometimes. But, it is what it is, and prayers and love gets us through every year.

We are taking Mattie to see New Moon right after school this evening. Thought that would be a great way to spend this evening.

magpie said...

just heard a loud groan at Maine which sounded like a Moose ! or maybe a bear then the Eagle let out with a squeal...

magpie said...

Good Morning Sissy, thinking of you and Tom and the family, with all heart and soul...and prayers ♥ and (( Hugs ))

and tell us more about New Moon...whatever it is I think it sounds great !

magpie said...

speaking of New Moon, toddler moon should be out in the East tonight, haven't seen it for days with the clouds...

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

New Moon is the latest movie in the Twilight series. Opens today. The first showing was a midnight movie last night but I just couldn't bring myself to do that on a work/school night. She has posters of it all over her room, life size cut out of the lead character, Edward Cullen, in her room. It is a great big deal. We have all the books!!

magpie said...

Costume Lady said...

Megan, missed you at our luncheon yesterday. We know you are very busy now and hope you sell many wreaths this year. We haven't cut our trees yet. Too many things going on in our lives to even take the time to have it done.

Costume Lady said...

Ha, Ha, Margy, know what you are talking about! Yes, Gene very seldom talks about someones looks, but he means it when he says they are pretty. If they are not, he says nothing at all.

normabyrd said...

MEGAN---Wishing we lived closer---have lots of boxwood!--maybe nest year!

normabyrd said...

WANDA---Does that mean you DIDN'T miss me???????????-----ho!

Good Morning! Sunny and 49F here in R'town...had a nice little storm here late last night!

Wanda, Steve loves my beads! Did you make those? When I am not using them they will be around the neck of my stuffed PANDA "Little Bub". She was a Christmas gift when I was a little girl so she's about 40 now! She sits at a chair at the kitchen table.
What did you mean you haven't cut your trees yet? Do you sell Christmas trees?

Hey Megan...what's a Peace Wreath?

magpie said...

Hi Lynne -
everyone might have scooted off for awhile.
Nice to see you...
I'm sure Megan will be back to explain the Peace Wreath, I am not very good at answering questions for other people...but if Megan makes it, I can tell you, it is Awesome !
Chiropractor soon, see you later ☺
You know about wearing RED on Friday, right ?
For the military, sign of tribute for their service, red shirt, red something... ♥

Lynne2 said...

Yes ma'am red it is today! Hope you have a good one....missed you yesterday!

magpie said...

Thank you Dana for visiting Magpie's Roost...since the pic was more than two weeks old your comment had to come back to me for publishing...just a "comment moderator" thing.

TTFN xo ☺

Costume Lady said...

Lynne, I bought the beads from one of my costume suppliers.
The trees that I was referring to are some that need to be removed from my deck area. They keep the deck filled with needles. I thould Megan she could have the limbs to use for her wreaths, but we haven't had them cut yet. It is a bit of a major undertaking...need someone to cut the trees down, someone to saw up the trunk and someone to haul it away.

magpie said...

I'm so glad you got to be with the family yesterday ♥ Lynne. We will meet in the future, for sure!

xo bye for now

magpie said...

Here is a tip that works for me by the way, also saves aggravation when Blogger Cop gets you:

after I type my comment,
I highlight, right click for copy,
un highlight, hit Preview, and then publish if it is not filled with typos!
Seems to post faster to the blog too. then if Blogger cop gets me, I can just hit paste in the commment box again and start all over
Just an idea. Works for me.
But I still make boo boos
xo

Thanks so much Mits. Tough time for sure but I have learned it is okay to remember and mourn, as long as we keep looking forward. It is easy to get stuck in that sometimes, but great family and friends have helped us so much. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes. WE get through stuff like this TOGETHER, not alone!!

Good Red Friday Morning All! I have been lurking for about an hour - glad to see so many on this morning. Had to take one pill this morning (Boniva) & wait one hour before eating or any other meds. I go for a bone density 12/2 and it's really going to have to be ok that my bones are aging! I wish they were like a 20 yr old - but, well what do you expect when they have served me so well for soooooo many years

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

His name is George and he loves it here!!!!

hedgie said...

My eldest and her eldest are very anxious to go see that movie, Sissy. And Jess if very jealous of Mattie's room! She told her dad that she wanted her room painted black----but he talked her out of it! She has read all the books 4 times. Certainly not her grandmas' kind of book or movie! I don/t do werewolves and vampires!

Jo, how about The Mentalist last night? What at twist----and couldn't believe that Bosco died!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

OOOHHHHH! I haven't watched the Mentalist yet!! We record it and watch it the next day. Did Red John kill him? No, no, don't tell me! I will watch it this afternoon after work!!!

Mema Jo said...

Hedgie - I guess the Red John case is all his now! Very good show but I didn't think everything was going to happen like it did! Looks like PANana Diann watched it also.

Anxious to see what is going to happen on Criminal Minds ..........

P.S. Did You Know.....pumpkin shortage!
Bad weather has caused a huge shortage and Nestles' says they will not be producing anymore Libby canned pumpkin products this season. They have 80-90% of the market....WOOF! Glad I already have mine!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I cut up the ones we used for decorating for Halloween, cooked em and froze em. Andrew won't let us use canned pumpkin. Daddy spoiled us with the fresh stuff. Plus it is cheaper and goes further.

Costume Lady said...

No, Sissy, I haven't read the books but both my daughters have.
Some of those Vampire and Werewolf movies scare the wits out of me, but I love them. (the good ones) like Werewold in London.

Did Mattie get her bedroom decorated in the Twilight Theme yet?

Well, it's a beautiful fall day here in SoCal! Bright and sunny, and crisp! Got down to 45 last night; it's about 48 now. High of 68 predicted for later. Think it's maybe time to break out the flannel sheets--feet nearly froze last night!

I just mailed my check to Birds of Prey in memory of Deb. I was waiting to see if Janie was doing something special but before I forgot I mailed it.

Good morning! Wahoo! A girl! You do know how jealous I am, Paula. Guess the Good Lord knew what was best in not giving me a granddaughter. I would have sent us to the poor house for sure! Now, you know I love my boys, and I asked for Zach to be a boy, wanted Michael all over again! ha! BUT, a girl is just fun to dress!

Paula, also enjoyed reading about Tiny. What beautiful pictures they had of him.

I was watching Grey's and PP last night sitting on our bed. Gave Jack the big TV to watch the STARS. Anyway, my laptop battery died. Too lazy to plug it in. So, I did not get back on last night.

Slept in this morning. Rain started during the night and it was just a good time to really sleep in. Now, I am going to have to hustle to get to the Country Peddler Craft show.

Have a great day!

Oh, I just have to say I have read all the Twilight books and love them. Lynn, it is a love story, not like other vampire books and movies. Laurel and I are big fans. We plan to go see New Moon Friday after Thanksgiving. You can not put the books down once you get into them. The author did a great job getting you to fall in love with Edward and Jacob. Jack, who reads everything, also read them, but has declined the movies. However, Twilight is coming to TV in January. Will re-watch it!!!!!

I still love little boys though! :) Of course, I am biased!

Oh, I love all my boys, too. But it's nice to have a girl in there somewhere! I have 2 brothers, 2 sons, 2 grandsons, 2 nephews...and 1 niece!

Hi, Gang,
I slipped away for a bit to attempt to catch up on my e-mails, and found one from Bird Girl. She's having surgery today! Prayers for her swift and complete recovery!

Ms Bookworm said...

Hey, Sharon!
Yes, I finally get to do some transcribing! I absolutely LOVE it! That pesky anatomy class was actually worth it! (I knew it would be!) BTW, prayers for you and Sissy and the family today. Oct. 7th is my "touchy" day. We lost our Heather Nicole (youngest daughter, age 15) in 1992 to Wegener's Granulomatosis. If it weren't for our faith, and our family and friends, we would never have made it through, either. (Hmmm...wonder if Deb has met her yet...)Hang in there; I'm with you all the way! ((HUGS)) for the whole family!

Hi everyone,

Well, will never catch up. Been busy with problem students, classes, and grading police exams.

Prayer for Bird Girl and hope she has a speedy recovery from surgery.

Have a police officer witha three-year-old son and he is all excited about the NCTC nest and Diego's address so his son can watch. So much fun to introduce others to our pride and joy critters.

I'll be back later. Hope everyone is well.

Thank GOD it's FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Ms Bookworm said...

You and I are on the same page, Judie! Gotta go now and read about 5 long, involved chapters for my new class! DON'T want to have to do it on the weekend!
Jim, hope you have a good weekend, too! Actually, hope everyone does!

Judie,
That's really neat that you've brought a couple of 'newbies' to the nest! Especially a 3-year-old!
Fantastic when such a young one is interested in our feathered and furry friends!
