Dana, yes I did mention that we were a group named Eaglet Momsters and Dadsters, but also said that we were FRIENDS OF NCTC eagles. I guess that is where the notion that the gift was from NCTC.
I have written a letter letting Mr. Clark and Peggy (BWO) know that we are NOT affiliated with NCTC, except that we enjoy watching their eagles and enjoy some of NCTC's activities.
Michael came home from school last night for Cohen's birthday party today. We went shopping last night and got a bite to eat. Didn't get home till after 11.
Heading to the party around noon today, then hoping to work in the yard tomorrow.

Did You Know for the day.......a FL man driving a rare Bhugati(sp?) was spooked by a PELICAN and drove the car into a canal. The 2006 car is one of only 15 in the US and is worth over $1M.
Geesh.....I don't think I'd ever take mine out on the road, LOL!

Did ya'll hear they delisted the brown pelican from the endangered species list? It was either this week or last week.
Ha, Wanda....pelicans I guess are big enough, but it does make one wonder! Need to look up a Bhugati and see what size car it is....it might be one of those really low cars which might make a pelican look huge..........or maybe it was his idea of a pink elephant!!

I need to download Adobe Flash Player. I find the site and it downloads. Then it says: Adobe Media Player. Is that the same? I don't think so myself?
No Dana it is something different.
If you had something tell you it couldn't download without Adobe Flash then that is all you need to download.
You probably use Windows Media Player for videos and don't need Adobe Media player.........
Deer hunts on NCTC grounds is finished until Nov 28. Then you could hear Shotguns. Then Dec 5 and 12 is the same.
A poacher is a hunter in this case on No Trespassing grounds. It did say "near" .
Doing my finance folder - recently I had become irritated at an organization I donated to back in OCT
by not cashing a check. Today - low and behold the stamped sealed envelope was in the very very back of folder.
I feel Stoopid! I had even gotten a second request from them and was going to send it back and tell them to go look for the check I already sent!
Oh Well! For sure they will get that check now!

Jo, LOL.....no wonder they never cashed your check. Had told Margy recently that it took 8 mos. for our local vol. fire dept. to cash a donation check---plus 2 calls to the treaurer, and she had a similar problem, and it was HER former company!
That's the bad thing I found about paying off the house, Jo----insurance and taxes not coming out of escrow, and both due in Sept! What a hit I take then!

BETHESDA, Md. - A man trimming a tree branch with a chain saw has died after falling off the ladder he was using.
Maryland police and fire rescue officials were called Saturday and arrived to find the 35-year-old man dead. Montgomery County (web | news) police said in a press release that the man fell about 30 feet to the ground and that the chain saw caused an injury to his upper body.
Officials have not yet identified the man. An autopsy was planned.
so stay off those ladders.....

Thsnks for the info, Paula. I had set up my laptop to display mixed content, but not this tiny notebook thingy. Funny. I saw little notebooks like this one at the store for well over $300.00 alongside regular laptops for $500.00.
Checked out power cord--$110.00. Did not buy. Will make do with what I have. Probably can get my old desk computer to work with a different keyboard. There are several keyboards around here. I just need to remember to bring the power cord home eery night.
While Kathryn, Hunter, and I were headed to the computer store, Kathryn's neighbor called to say that someone had showed up and measured the front of Kathryn's house and then left, so we rushed over there and checked the house, but everything seemed okay. Before we left again, we turned on her alarm and left the tv on.
Might have been someone who was supposed to measure the house next door. Might have been something else.

Margy, someone suggested in Journal Junction that there be a community parade when they move into the new firehall. I think that's a cool idea! Can't wait to see it----know that it will be almost identical to Citizens', but still want a gander!
