Good morning Steve!! Thanks for our new thread!!
Good Morning Steve & Sissy & Everyone Else!!Have a Great Day!I get to go have a root canal & that tooth doesn't even hurt any more...DUH? Maybe I can talk dentist out of it, but then I risk a flare up in couple weeks for granddaughter's wedding or Xmas. Oh well, "it is what it is"!
Loretta, this seems to be the week for Eaglet Momsters dental work. Mine was pleasant in that my smile looks better.
Good morning everyone!
Hi Wanda, good for you on your dental work. I only had one other root canal & the nerve was dead, so no problem. Guess he'll "shoot me up"!!Gotta check cam for our Beautiful Birds & hop in shower.
Now, Sharon had to remind me to change my avatar. Halloween is over!!
GOOD WEDNESDAY MORNING EVERYONE
Comcast is not allowing me to get into my e-mails...and OE is acting up.....what's up with that???
Good morning y'all. I'm going to mow the 4 acres today. Hope this is the last one for the season. Gods paintbursh is very colorful this fall. Might have to go for a color tour this weekend.
Helen, Verizon is acting up too...must be having an Election Hangover.;)
Good morning everyone. Haven't read back so not sure if Lib and Belle have said good morning, but it surely is time for an appearance.
Well, Wanda, could be, but I don't have time today for this nonsense:(
Hey, Red...how much is gas down your way now? Some places near here, it is $1.99. How long do you think it will stay at that price? It will shoot up as soon as the families start to travel for Thansgiving.
All our lives would be sooo much better with gas at under $2.00 a gallon.
Wanda, the cheapest I have seen here is still above $2. I paid $2.23 yesterday. Guess its higher here because we are closer to the refineries. lol
I think gas is $2.39 here in Martinsburg, but 25 miles away in Winchester,Va. it is under $2.oo. Our daughters and grandchildren live in Winchester, so when we go to visit them, YOU CAN BET WE FILL UP!
Mornng all.Turkeys at PA cam, no shows at ours and ME. Usual eagle fix at BWO.
Saw gas at $2.45 here last night when coming home from the election night pancake dinner. Maybe if I wait a few days it will be as low as you all have.
Normabyrd hasn't been here yet! Must be worn out from election day!
Pavlovian ConditioningNovember 4th, 2008 The first measurable snowfall of the season today initiated a Pavlovian response from Primo. He showed up looking for food! If you’ve been checking in on this site you’re probably anxious to see some moose, but I have to admit I’ve enjoyed the unusually warm temps we’ve had here this fall while they UPDATE FROM MOOSE CAM
Good morning, everyone. I just checked the weather and my trip to the Hills is going to be delayed a day, BLIZZARD warnings for western SD. 8-14" of the white stuff with very high winds. For me here, they are only talking a couple of inches.
We were going to stay in Custer State Park, but I just canceled those reservations. I doubt the campgrounds will be in good shape, even if we wait a day.
Thanks Steven for the new thread.Good Morning Everyone including our Dear Norma if she gets in today. Wednesday is her day to leave us early so an appearance of WONDERFUL words from her would be GREAT!
Eagles in Maine used their vocalizing music and put me back to the pillows earlier. Best sleep I had all night. (It was early AM)Dental cleaning for me was Monday 3rd. After cleaning all checked out good. ( : Happy Smile....Deb that could be some snow storm!

Good Wednesday Morning to everyone
WEDNESDAY UPDATE FROM ATLANTA....Wednesday, November 5Earlier this week we started giving Lun Lun access to more indoor space adjacent to the dens she and the cub normally occupy. During the day when Yang Yang and Mei Lan are outside, Lun Lun now has access to one of the dayrooms (which is on exhibit to Zoo visitors) from time to time. She seems to be enjoying the extra space so far and has made a few trips to the dayroom to eat bamboo. She always returns to the dens after about an hour to check on the cub.It is possible that Lun Lun will take the cub into the dayroom, though we think it’s somewhat unlikely for her to choose to move him to such an open space. She did not seem to be comfortable having Mei Lan in the dayroom until she was over four months old. Lun Lun might surprise us, though. Some mothers are more protective of their first cub, and then are a little less protective of subsequent cubs. You may notice that the hammock was removed from the dayroom. This way if she chooses to take the cub into the dayroom there will be no worries about her trying to put him in the hammock. Some of you may remember that this was a favorite nursing spot for Lun Lun and Mei Lan after Mei Lan started to be on exhibit regularly. This cub is still a little small to be in the hammock. We will put the hammock back up when he is older. The cub’s weight yesterday was 3,078 grams.Kate RocaCarnivore Keeper II
Thanks for the update Mits. I love the way they keep us in the loop with what is going on. That is great, they don't have to do that, ya know?
NZ did that, Sissy, its good PR
tad foggy there today.
If you stare - you can sort see the outline of the light house BUT Ican't see it's light!
I need my brunch food......BBL
yeah it is way to foggy
Have a good day at the zoo - I'll be looking for you on the Asia Trail.BBL
I'm by myself today, so bulk of the time will probably be with the pandas
Finally a decision has been made. We are leaving tomorrow morning and driving to Chamberlain, SD. That way we can drive as slow as needed on Friday through the snowy parts of the state.
glad you are still going, should be beautiful:)
Me, too. Although it won't be as planned staying in Custer State Park, it should still be a good weekend.
EAGLE IN MAINE!!
Hey, everyone, there is a beautiful eagle in Maine!!
All gone, I hope someone else got to see it.
Good morning! Sun shining and 76 here in Texas. The leaves are falling faster than I can mow them! We are getting a little color on the leaves now. You have a much prettier fall...well more trees as well! LOLGas is $1.89 here. Much easier to fill the van now.Had a flock of doves in the yard this morning. They were everywhere. I heard them before I saw them.
Hi all!Dana, the second penquin link worked fine. Good rescue work, but the decreasing numbers are sad.Hey, Dave...hope that DSL gets hooked up fast!! Will watch for your pics!Gosh, some of you gals were up awfully early this am! Bet there will be some panda naps this afternoon for sure--except poor Margy; I heard her voice first thing this morning.Deb, saw that weather on the map this morning and was worrying about you!
looks like somebody got put in the corner at NZ. Is that Mei?
Is Ceil MIA??? Don't recall seeing her on lately....Great gas price, Lolly. Guess it helps to be close to the big refineries.Do you want some more colorful leaves?? I'll gladly export!
Yes, I have been missing Ceil, too Lynn. Taking GeeGee to get some new clothes soon, nothing fits her. BBL
Hope your mom is easier to shop w/ than mine is, Wanda!!My Hawaiian traveler just called! Exhausted from long trip yesterday, but weather is beautiful...of course! TSA messed up her luggage contents badly, including taking new toothbrush out of package and it is brown in color. She had to get new one in hotel last night. ALl cosmetics and her underwear were out of the plastic bags she had them in...luckily nothing leaked.
Headed out to give a ride to a grandson to the DrBBL
I am headed out to SF, all travel arrangements are rearranged. hope the snow isn't as bad as predicted. I am bringing my laptop, I'll let you know how the weather is!!
**GOOD DAY****TO YOU ALL** C(°?°)3Jim
I see gas prices are falling pretty quickly here in So Cal too. You can even get premium Union 76 for as low as $2.89/gal. today.Nothing 'too shabby' about that.C(°?°)3Jim
EAGLE ALERT - OUR NEST!
Sure is one Sharon!
Looks like Mr. Lib.
He is really eyeballing something...
He was getting ready for his takeoff
SUPPERTIME here in the Wright household. BBL
Moose is up and moving around the feed dishes...and chowing down now...Congratulations! I see there was an Eagle Visit!
Well, I am going to play like an Eagle - In and Out...returning to work at midnight for 6 hours, so I am headed for the roost... DEB Have a Great Trip!Great Evening Wishes to all...xo
Have a good snooze, Margy, even tho' it's short!Loretta, are you home yet? How did your root canal go? You are braver than I am!Can only see back end of moose on cam...lying down.
Poor little Luney all alone and no bedding!
Lynn, he does not seem to be suffering much! :)
How was the zoo today Mits! Did Tai ask about me?
yes, first thing he asked me...where is Sharon???....It was a beautiful day at the zoo....I wish I would remember to take my camera.....standing at the top of the trail and looking at all the beautiful colors....and all the animals were out...it was a good day.
LYNN...In answer to your question yesterday, yes, that would be Dr. Queen. My Mom is fun to shop with, but she tires very quickly. She tried on four sweaters and 4 pairs of slacks. Only bought one sweater. It's hard to find anything that looks right on her tiny body.
In case you hit the hay early tonight, Deb...have a great trip! Did you pack skis or snowshoes?? Stay safe.
You were commenting on your daughter being searched at the airport...we had the same experience when we went to Hawaii, and that was back in the 70's. Some airports haven't changed much except for the extra charges for luggage. We had 11 pieces of luggage at no additional charge. That is a VERY exhausting flight.
I think Deb needs to take a snowmobile :)
Wanda, Bill Queen is such a great guy. My kids and my ex all use him. I didn't because I was comfortable w/ Brookreson who has done excellently dealing w/ this scraredy cat; too many people from work went/go to Bill and I didn't want anyone to know what a checiken I am. (Bill worked at GM before he went to dental school).
Gee, can't type tonight!! 'Scuse typos, please!!!
My mom can't find anything to suit her taste to wear....she doesn't like jeans, but feels "too fat" for polyesters...and after so many years in FL, she can't seem to adjust to cold winter wear...she hates having to wear a coat!
Yes, Lynn, Dr. Bill is a super nice person and does excellent work for a man who used to work for General Motors ;) I have been going to him since 1984.
Yes, Wanda, it is grueling. Don't think I could do it. They changed planes at LAX--which she said is the filthiest airport she ever saw--and had to change terminals and go through security a second time.
eagle at TH
How old is your Mom, Lynn...or does she keep her age off-limits?
They stay at some hotel that is partly reserved for military so my ex gets them in there at a reduced rate...she was so upset over their room, they got it changed today! She's my gutsy kid...really don't know where she got it. Her hubby doesn't really like it...but, hey, no guts, no glory!
Mom is 89, Wanda.
Her mother made it to 96, and her dad to 94! Such longevity!! Seriously doubt I'll ever make that!
Oh my goodness, a lot of we Momsters have mothers in their late 80's. We are so fortunate to still have them.
My Mother's Mother lived to be 94 and my Dad's Mother lived to be 92. I plan on outliving all of them :) :)
Helen, looks like we stopped watching the cam too soon. I see where Sissy saw both of our eagles a few minutes after I left to fix supper. Did you leave too, or did you get to see them?
You go, girlfriend!! I have no doubt that you'll make it to 100!!
Going to watch some TV. BBL
Guess I'd better go get ready to watch Jeopardy. BBL!
I only saw Lib, did not see the two together, Wanda
That is because they only revealed themselves to me cause I'm special! :)
Little Luney needs some snuggling. If they would just let me in there for a few minutes!!
I am all alone this evening. Mattie went to stay with Sher, Andrew is at work, Tom is at work. I have already given my pound of flesh today. Gonna go catch up on some of the stuff on my DVR. It gets backed up sometimes.
You wonderful ladies holler if anything exciting happens. I will be listening!!
Ice cream time for me... Guess I am going to see what comes on at 9.BBL
There were 2 large bears around 10on the snowman cam.One is still there
10:10 Bear walked off to the leftProbably will return.........
Do not wish to sit and wait for a bear to return - do not want to watch Law & Order tonight....Sooooooooo going to get ready for bed.I'll return to say good night......
Jo, no bear yet...I'm tired of waiting too. Bed looks inviting. Yep, that's where I'm going.GOOD NIGHT EVERYONESLEEP TIGHTPRAYERS FOR ALL
Me three!!! See you all in the morning...keep fingers crossed for NO WIND, so I can blow more leaves!!!
Good Morning, er, I mean, Good Night Everyone !! Sounds as though all across Eagle Land are ready for a good night's sleep. GOOD THURSDAY MORNING EVERONE
still dark in Maine, but the crows and eagles are up...and something is eating the microphone again...you all have a good day.
GOOD MORNING, HELEN...It's just about time for a visit.
I was just passing by the puter, Wanda, not sure I'm going to wait for them....bbl:)
WE HAVE TOUCH DOWN IN OUR NEST!
Looks like Lib to me.
Belle in middle of nest...not sure if Lib is there now.
Wanda you are not alone...I see Birdy too
Both again, how nice. Finally!
They are sitting side by side, like two bookends.
I'm getting 30-second refresh
And BWO has two...
Two still at OUR nest...
MARGY! So glad you are seeing them too.
Thanks, WANDA, now where is the Southern Delegation, Dana and Red?
And can we get MITS back ?
I am getting a 90 second refresh...like watching grass grow :)
Are you Bluefield girls awake yet?
Picture is brighter and clearer now...Is that not the most beautiful pair you have ever seen?
I can hear the wind blowing and rain outside my window.
Mine is sometimes 30-sec,sometimes 90-sec..weird. Yes, Gorgeous!Megan, Paula.....everyone else ?We're hollering for ya'!
Lib is gone now.
Eagle sounds at Maine
Lib is back..or maybe he never left??
Cam is showing some signs of going psycho.
Margy, I think they are hiding from us. (All our early-morning people) ;)
Yep, both still there.
Only Lib left.
BWO is very ghostly !
Good morning Wanda and Margie. I see we have visitors. Good way to start the day.
Did you notice, Wanda....mostly 90-seconds, but just had a 30-second one, about face, and then vamoosed!
ALL GONE...PARTY OVER FOR NOW!
Wow, RED, Just in time....
GOOD MORNING, RED. Yes, it is a perfect way to start the day...it's like ALL'S RIGHT WITH THE WORLD!
Now, I need my morning fix of coffee. BBS
Guess I got here in the nick of time. Only got to see one but was nice.
Color is on in Maine, and I think BWO is haunted, kind of stuck on the image although the clock is advancing...
I agree Wanda, It's coffee time. BBL.
Camera is advancing at BWO again, still ghostly !
Gobblers in Pennsylvania...
You must check out BWO..the nest box looks soooooooooooo strange.
I hear the Loon at Maine, it is distant and faint, but unmistakable
