fruitsicle time for NZ pandas
Thanks MITS, I hope you also have a good Sunday.
Good morning, everyone.
Good morning Thelma, Deb my sister Helen on this page. Just looked in on the cheetahs at NZ and saw one. Tai is wandering and Mei is snacking on frozen pop. Have a great day everyone.
Morning Wanda and Candy on the other page. Candy went to Church. BBL
Shh Margy is sleeping.
Eagle at BWO, It is a chilly morning here at 22, but going to be 34 with NO wind. It will be nice to not have wind after the 20-50 miles of the last 3 days.
Eagle in MAINE!
Not sure when it came in, I was feeding the dogs.
I believe it is the male, skinny head and neck.
I checked the Maine forum, flew in with brunch, figure he is waiting for the female. Just flew up to a branch.
aww he is courting her.
looks like he is posing to be the USA eagle
Isn't that funny how he posed like that.
guess he flew off to fool with the mic
And gone! It was a nice visit.
yes, it was a beautiful pose....

☺ ☺ Happy Sunday Everyone in Eagleland! ☺ ☺Nice, sunny day--no meeses in UT, but now hear crows in ME (thought they were outside!)Have a great day ♥♥♥♥
I am heading out to get some more peanuts for my blue jays, they are greedy birds, but so fun to watch. I am, also, going to see if the eagles have landed in Yankton, maybe this cold weather brought them a few weeks early. One can only hope. There was a Pacific Loon at Lake Yankton yesterday, so I will see if it is still there, too. BBL
*** GOOD mORNING ****** EVERYONE ***C(°?°)3Jim
Hi Loretta and Frank ♥ ♥ I did the 24-hour rewind at Snowman Cam, there were deer visitors between 6 and 8 pm, then around 0520 some deer close up with a little snow on their hides, so I think that is when the snow started! Not many visitors there except a busy little squirrel...They planted the "Think Snow" decoration at 4:50 pm...xoxoxo
Maine has color now...Bring on the Eagles !xox So Glad Wanda saw OUR EAGLES this morning, the Early Bird Catches the Birds xox
HI JIM ! GOOD PACIFIC MORNING TO YOU !!
Have a great day. I think the desert winds have subsided and the wind has shifted around to the SW more ... off the Pacific.I believe my sinuses are eternally confused from the switches in climate here So Cal.C(°?°)3Jim
By the way, I tried some of those 'special characters' ... ☺☻♥ ... on AOL, but all I got was a "?" every time...Hahaha.C(°?°)3Jim
I just had a quick look at Pelican Harbor, West End and Two Harbors...you can tell it is windy there, Jim - - on West End the ocean is definitely looking wind-whipped...there is a dark blob with some white in the rocks but I don't know if it is Eagle or not..Seal Rocks won't open...xo
Good morning, Magpie. What kind of Sunday are you having??C(°?°)3Jim
When I get really confused at things I think this way ¿ ¿ Ceil: I have my Celtic Christmas CD on: ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ My plate is pretty full today until my next nap...guess I better get started...
Well, Jim, I started by not setting the alarm clock, that was a treat! It is a cool Novembery day here, cold front pushed some rain through, it's breezy and beautiful.I'm thinking of making some sausage gravy....Wild Boar Sausage at that! Gift from a friend... xoxo Have A Good One !
JIM Can you have a look at West End...are there Eagles there ????
Good Sunday--minus the sunshine!--afternoon everybody. Mits, your weather report was right on--am sun, pm clouds! Quite windy, too. Temps are dropping a bit...think it will be a woodstove evening and night for me! ♥♦♣♠ Anybody wanna play Canasta?? LOL!
Whoops! I was about to say Good Morning to everyone but I need to sayGood Sunday AfternoonThe morning just got away from me.
Howdy Hedgie! I never learned Canasta, but I sure used to enjoy Pinochle ..almost as addictive as these cams and this Blog !! xoxo
Ah ha, I see we have a new webcam format there, Magpie, but I do not see eagles at this time. ☺☺☺C(°?°)3Jim
I never learned Pinocle, Margy!
Hey, California Jim! What am I missing? New cam format??? Huh?
Back from church and lurking. MAGPIE is fsure looks like a white head and tail on almost the top at West End, but could it be a reflection? It doesn't seem to move. I see it on the closest mountain to us.
Well, I learned both Canasta and Pinochle, as well as Poker of several stripes. But it's been so long since I played a good card game that I've forgotten the rules to all of them ... Oh yeah, a couple of kinds of Gin too. C(°?°)3Jim
I wondered if it wasn't a new cam as I didn't have to check in on the slower one today. It just came on by itself. It really sounds windy there. I think Jim is right, as I still haven't seen the spots move yet.
Outdoor cam in Atlanta...where's Lil Luney??
JIM YOu must have played a good card game with a couple kinds of gin with it. Could you even see the cards? :)
Is anyone getting the BWO nest? It is still all black for me.
I guess it's possible there is an eagle perched on the backside of the WE nest looking away.Is that what you're talking about, Magpie??C(°ٿ°)DJim
Mr/Mrs Hummer is sitting and rocking gently on the nest. I wonder if the eggs have hatched. That is a nice close up pic of the nest.

Okay Candy - I am Internet Explorer for everything...and can usually get cam sites, however, I cannot open a lot of things on Yahoo, miss out on a lot of cool attachments and links...I have to upgrade some of my things.Got to move away from this spot for awhile. That's got to be a record tease...
Missed them by 10 minutes! :(
It was so fleeting, Candy, maybe, two refreshes worth....I just barely could make out there were two, then the tail end of one, and then all gone...
And now the racoons come to the Pa. woods.
In a way, they are pretty animals, as long as they aren't in my garbage. Down here on the Outer Banks, my dad opened his garbage can up one morning to find a baby racoon family down in the can. I think there were three of them and they couldn't get out.
Well Margy, I guess our royal couple were just doing a nest check to see what had to be done in the early morning hours.
Good way to think of the Royal Pair, Candy - Guess they are taking a Day of rest...Yes, that is a Mess o'Raccoons at Pix PA - they are fun to watch...mostly from this distance. !
So big they have two C's in their name!
Babies of just about anything are usually pretty cute, even Possums!I saw family of little baby skunks last spring!
I'm with you Margy. I'll watch them on the cams any day. \Possums look like rats to me. I never saw one of them until I moved down here. Then I saw them dead all over the roads; hit by cars as they tried to cross, poor things.
No bear or deer visiting the snowman yet tonight! There is time yet tho.
Yes, always to see any kind of animal crushed on the highway.Possums are actually one of the cleanest animals around: Like Cats, in that regard, I guess....My nap time approaches, due in at midnight....So I guess it is Pajama timeGood Sunday Evening to all you ♀'s and ♂'s.Peace, and Prayers....x♥o
MARGY You can have the skunks too. WE had them up north, but I have yet to see them down here on the Outer Banks and I like it that way.
...yes Ma'am! The like the middle of the night too, Candy.make that last post "Always SAD to see any kind of animal crushed on the highway.
Good night Margy Have a peaceful night at work. I used to hate it when my husband had to work the night shift. Pleasant dreams and you will be up tomorrow am while I am in school.
Guess I had better get my things ready for school tomorrow. We have this Tuesday off for the first time in ages for Veterans Day but have to work on Saturday to make up for the day we lost to the storm last week. :( It should be an early dismissal, tho. You all have a pleasant night with good dreams dancing in your heads. Tomorrow is a new day and a new beginning.May God watch over you all as you rest tonight. Good night for now.
Good evening my wonderful eagle friends. Haven't been on today. My husband's brother died in his sleep sometime last night, his wife found him this morning. Just awful. Would ya'll please send some prayers our way? We really need em. So now I don't what I am going to do about being with Sharon for her surgery. I am praying and praying and I believe God will reveal the answer to me. Just wish he would hurry!! ☺
Margy, I am certainly praying for your friends. That is just awful. Doug, Tom's brother, was such a wonderful man, just the best brother-in-law you could ask for. Just so sad!
Dear, dear Sissy, I am so sorry to hear of this...You know you have a large network of prayer here, and the Good Lord will provide comfort, and hope for you, your family, and help with the decision regarding being with Sharon.
Prayers going out to you Sissy, and Tom's family.
Thanks you guys. I love ya'll so good!!!
Gonna go in here with Tom for a while and try to wrap our heads around all this.
Thoughts and prayers, Sissy, for your & your BIL's families.Leave it in God's hands and everything will work out for the best decisions. When is Sharon's surgery? Best wishes to her also.♥♥♥♥♥♥ ╬
Oh, Sissy, so sorry to hear about Doug. Sudden and totally unexpected, I take it. Please know (and tell Tom and his mom) that we are all praying for all of you. It's been a tragic day for many.Could Thelma be w/ Sharon for the surgery?Love you all.
Sharon's surgery is Wednesday.
LUNEY'S UPDATE FOR SUNDAY...Sunday, November 9Now that the cub's coat is full and wooly, he is able to maintain his body temperature without external help. He no longer needs Lun Lun to hold him or a nest box full of bedding materials to keep him warm. This is important because Lun Lun now prefers to move the cub into different areas in the dens. Because he has a warm coat, the cub can rest comfortably wherever Lun Lun places him. It would be impossible to keep bedding in every inch of the dens; Lun Lun likes to just push it off into the corners. The cub does not seem to mind sleeping or scooting around on the bare floor. In fact, Lun Lun, Yang Yang and Mei Lan all prefer to rest on the bare floor rather than any type of bedding we offer. Because of this, we typically only provide bedding materials periodically for enrichment and they rarely, if ever, actually sleep on them. Giant pandas have dense coats that allow them to live in harsh, mountain conditions and prefer cool temperatures, so it seems that they get too warm sleeping on bedding. The cub's latest weight is 3281 grams, which is a 93 grams increase in a 24-hour period.Heather Baker Roberts

That's right, thanks, Deb....how was your day?
It was good, the sun came out and it was a beautiful day. I saw 4 BE, lots of r-t hawks, mergansers, gulls and flying snow geese. One juvie posed so nice for me. I will work on the pictures later. Time for dinner.

SNOWMAN CAM... Looks like about 1 inch of snow on the ground but it looks like 2 or 3 inches on the table where the cat is.When I was watching the three deer gave up trying to find food in the snow. Maybe one of them in the background was a buck. That snow made me feel so cold that I had to turn up the heat in the sunroom where my computers are!Pleasant Dreams!!
Hello Paula, how is everything?
yes Paul, have been watching snowman cam , deer have snow on their backs, waiting for them to shake it off
Thanks you all for all the prayers. Thelma is going to be with Sher Wednesday when she has the surgery but she can't stay. We will know more about the arrangements tomorrow, so then I will try to work around that. God will provide a solution, I am sure. Again, thank you all so much!
I'm afraid, Paulleo, that we will be seeing snow from our respective sunrooms sooner rather than later! Hate the stuff, but do have to admit that it makes the sunroom feel so snug!!
off to wait for COLD CASE to come on...bbl
wish you all lived closer, Sissy!
That's comforting, Sissy. Maybe some of us could come be with her. Just say the word!

Wow, I see the snow on the deer at the snowman cam...glad it's there and not here. All is progressing, Mits, thanks for asking. Mom is out of ICU...they are pumping her full of antibiotics. Not sure when she'll be released, but she is feeling good and eating well, so it could be worse! Love Surburban Hospital, staff and all is terrific.
Paula, so glad to hear your mom is getting better. MRSA is tough stuff, glad she is doing so well.
Gonna go try to get some sleep. Been a long day with a lot of long days ahead. This is just so awful, so awful.
Sissy, will be keeping you and Tom and his family, and Sharon as well in my prayers tonight.
Thanks Paula, you and yours are in ours as well. God bless us everyone!!
Glad they are treating your Mom good there, Paula...know if I ever have a stroke or heart attack that is where I want to go.
I can't remember, did you go there for your hernia surgery, Mits?
Been awhile since I've been to Charlottesville, Sissy...Wanda will know...that's where her grandson was hospitalized back in the summer. I'm thinking maybe 3 hrs.Try to get a good night's rest, Panda girl. Blessings for your family.
Paula glad your mom is doing better. Mits was not at Suburban. She was at Sibley for her hernia operation. Sissy I know you have left for the night but prayers for you and Tom and his family. Lots of prayer going out to night. For Margy's friend. For Jo and Ed's family. For Sharon's upcoming operation.
For those of you who use the Kent Forum from time to time, you will need to reregister. They are starting over, it seems someone was posting some unacceptable content.
Aah, thanks Ceil.Candy - you were talking about MRSA that your son had in his nose. Apparently this is where my Mom's is also. I'm not sure if it's in her urinary tract too or not. Now tonight they gave her medication in her nose, too. She is in isolation at the hospital...TG Medicare will pay for the private room. You have to put on a mask, gown and gloves to go in. I guess your son was carrying it, but it didn't make him sick? They said this could occur as well.
Oh, and thanks for the info Deb. Haven't been over there in awhile.
Good Evening to the evening people. Paula, I like this: Feeling Good and Eating Well. Good combination for recovery. GOOD MORNING EVERYONE....WE HAVE AN EAGLE IN OUR NEST!
He is either gone now, or hiding under Spidey's web.

I was just reading back through the comments (when Dustin is here, I miss a lot) and saw the link to the STURGIS CAM...Wow! It has been a lot of years since we have had snow like that...hope we never have that much again!
GOOD MORNING, MARGY.I read that you had some sad news about friends...I cannot find what happened. Only something about dead possums.
Wanda - brother'in-law's nephew, ended his life Sunday around noon- time, so I am not really family per se, but I am in a way, but referred to them as close family in my Yahoo to the Eaglet group Sunday....He was about 33 years old. An utter tragedy...I had not put it on the Blog until right now. Thanks for asking...
Luney's cam is showing a blank screen :(
I meant to say, Wanda, close family friends - I was close to all of them through my sister who died in December.
Taking one's own life has always been a mystery to me...how SAD that person must be to not want to live anymore.
I too, had a Nephew who ended his own life...it was very tragic! He was only 19 years old.
Drugs and family problems.
Eagle at BWO -
Wanda - It is a tragedy beyond comprehension. I have seen some of that in my past years at the Rescue Squad...a being in total despair, in most cases. All different ages, both male and female. Unfortunately, this kind of sorrow has touched many of our lives.
Bushty Tail Party in Pennsylvania...And a lot of snow at the Snow Cam.
STEVE So glad things seem to have been well-attended over the week-end for the Film Festival.
