For right now, things are settled for a minute and I am grateful. Wouldn't mind an uneventful day or two for sure. Tom has his hernia surgery next Tuesday. Hernias everywhere around here!! ☺
On our "still cam" nest floor is brownish and leaves are different brown. Stick dark and white. On our "live feed" all is in like at nite and not much color. BUT I LOVE IT ANYWAY!!!!!! HAVE I SAID I LOVE THE LIVE FEED AND THE STILL CAM WORKING!!!!
I don't want to seem all gloom and doom, because I don't feel that way. This is just a bump in the road and things will settle down eventually. In the world of big deals, this ain't one.
I need ya'll to pray for us (again!!) today. 28 years ago today we lost our children in a fire in Falls Mills, VA along with a good friend and her daughter. It was the Thursday before Thanksgiving, just like today.
Thanks so much Wanda. Yeah, it was a long time ago but still feels so fresh. One of those things that never happens to you, ya know. But, we have a good life now. Wish it had been different but IT IS WHAT IT IS. But on days like this, I just have to let myself remember and cry or laught or whatever.
Sissy, I lost a baby many years ago, but not in the way that you did. He would have been 28 years old last month. I never got to hold him in my arms and that makes a big difference, (it was a miscarrage). God Bless You.
Adam was 2-1/2 years old and Aaron was 8 months old when they died. Adam would be 30 now and Aaron 28, grown men. I am not trying to be morbid or anything like that, really I am not. But it is important to me that people know they were here, lived good lives, and were loved.
Well, morbid is never a word I would use to describe you Sissy... thanks for sharing your very personal thoughts today. I'm sure that Adam and Aaron would have grown up to be wonderful young men. I am getting ready to walk outside, should start making wreaths today, now that I have a lot of greeens collected and cut up.
As loud as those birds are in Maine, you would think we would see some signs of life on the cam. I haven't seen anything there this morning, but I sure do hear em.
Sorry I did a download and had to restart. Then I went to emails.
Sissy I am so sorry for your loss. Yes I did know. Sharon and me had spoke of it one time. I didn't know their dates or names though. It is good that you have shared with us and talk about your Boys. I feel saddened and bless that you shared your sons pictures with us too. They are beautiful boys Bev. You know when the time comes you will see them again. For now they are shared with your Dad and Mom and others. Just have always had Sharon, You and YOUR FAMILY in prayers through ALL the DIFFENT THINGS YOU ALL HAVE BEEN THROUGH. Plus have prayed for GOOD THINGS FOR YOU ALL for a long time now.
I also know the prayers for GOOD THINGS have been answered too.
Lun Update for Thursday... Thursday, November 20 Lun Lun continues to enjoy outings to the dayroom. She has been getting access to the area for about 2-4 hours a day. Off to run lots and lots of errands that don't involve sightseeing with a TE...That will make sense if you read the For The Love of Eagles Blog under my name. Now I need Dog food, birdfood, and people food. LOL Its a priority thing.
Hope Sharons visit goes OK and has not been too hard on her. Saw she was hurting quite a lot yesterday.
I think Sharon is too hard on herself. Thinks she should be able to get up and around more than she is. She is doing really really good. I think if they take some of those drains out, it will help her alot. That can't feel good for sure.
She MUST take it easy on herself...REST, TAKE IT EASY, TAKE IT SLOW....and more she would be telling someone else on the blog. That just had that surgery. God Love Her Heart..
Morning! Reading earlier blog and now the current one. All of you are such beautiful people - I feel honored to have you all for my friends. Thank you Beverly for sharing with us the sad part of your life - may we love & care for you even more. Adam & Aaron would have grown and made you and Tom so proud
UPDATE FROM MOOSE CAM FROM POOK........ lone cow joined Primo last week. So you may be seeing her in the webcam.
Most of the snow from the first storm has now melted. The prediction is sunny for the next 10 days which means the moose won’t be sitting in my yard during the day. They go find shade on the north side of a tree or better yet the woods. So you’ll only see them when they come to feed, generally early morning 7-9 am and afternoon 3-5 pm give or take.
Morning, y'all! Sissy, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and Tom today and always. What a sad loss to bear. Adam and Aaron WOULD be wonderful young men, you can be sure...look at their parents! Thank you for sharing with us. We love you. Wanda and Helen, I also had a miscarriage...37 yrs. ago last month. I wonder if the Robinhoods Red Barn phrase came from PA? We always said it growing up, but folks here act like they've never heard it....my maternal great-grandmother came from PA....will have to ask my mom if it was something she always said!
Blogger cop is alive and well....does anyone else have problems when you first "log on" to the blog with it not accepting your password once or twice??

I tried that too, Red, but mine is still choppy. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for it, but it is just a little more choppy than the other one we had.
OMG I went to the still cam and was thinking it was a picture that had been posted.....then I thought NO! That is a current picture!!!!! Wow! Wow! Wow!
Well, that is too cool! Both in nest for a while now, huh.. was making a sandwich.. hard to walk away but I must go back to work- enjoy the view y'all!!

I'm not surprised they didn't take out drains since Sharon said she was still draining. Changing antibiotics probably means that there is some infection which could account for the more severe pain she's been having.

The eagles are singing to use in Maine. I find such comfort in that sound. Wish we could see em!!
Singing to us I mean.
Oh, Sissy, I am so stunned that I don't know what to say. I didn't know...Prayers for you BIG TIME!

Gives us a whole new perspective on our own lives.
Thanks Wanda, so much.
Thanks Megan! You getting ready for Christmas?
Megan is like a little hummingbird...here one minute, gone the next :)

UPDATE FROM LISA....
11/20/08:
Technical Note -
We're having computer issues, which is affecting the image updating. We're working to fix it.
Also, Meadow -- the odd American osprey that migrated to Canada -- is on the move.
She's come down to Cleveland, Ohio, but she still has a long way to go to South America.
Will just echo what Deb just said
Sissy, you and Tom have my prayers today. They are beautiful boys.
Wanda and Helen, hugs to you!
Loss is a hole filled with love. I find it easier to think of it that way in my own life.
I hope in the rough days that "He" sends you something beautiful to lighten your heart along the way.
God bless you and your loved ones, Sissy. I'm sure they are all with Him and well cared for.
And while He's at it, maybe He can bless us all as well.

What will become of the BWO nest? It definitely looks like the nest fell through.
Sissy, I reminded her this a.m., that she had 2 major surgeries last Wednesday.....my drains were in for 3 weeks.
Right Mits. This ain't like getting a hang nail trimmed. This is some big stuff.
She MUST take it easy on herself...REST, TAKE IT EASY, TAKE IT SLOW....and more she would be telling someone else on the blog. That just had that surgery. God Love Her Heart..

TRY THAT BLUE LINK I JUST PUT UP HOPE IT WORKS LYNN
I just switched the quality from High to Low and I believe the picture is better on Low.
What I wouldn't give to be there watching them live and in person!!!
Yes, I can get snowman cam. Every link I use to our live feed is just blank...if I click on live feed, nothing happens....had it a couple of days ago okay...guess I'll try to reboot puter....
I tried that too, Red, but mine is still choppy. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for it, but it is just a little more choppy than the other one we had.
The wind is fierce here...I was outside when Dana called, getting the Journal and the wind just about blew me away.
GOOD pict. now.
Hedgie, you might need to install or reinstall Adobe Flash Player.
My still cam is stuck on 12:13, anyone else?
no difference here on high, medium or low...same quality pic
WHERE ARE YOU LYNN...Try that blue link that Dana put on. She must have gotten lost in Cyberspace.
my still says 12:29p.m.

Well, that is too cool! Both in nest for a while now, huh.. was making a sandwich.. hard to walk away but I must go back to work- enjoy the view y'all!!
Yay! For me!! I could tell them apart for the first time. Yay! LOL
Wow, they sure are hanging out for a while, aren't they!!
Good morning Deb. Glad you made it in time. Morning Lolly and anybody else I missed. So good to "see" you all this morning.
Paula and Deb...thinking about our 1 1/2 hours in the cold watching them. Paula....my little eagle is sitting right here by the puter! ☺
Jo, my still cam is OK, now...just temporary insanity ;)
Sharon is on the phone. Changed her antibiotic, left all the drains in. She has go back next Wednesday. Changed her pain meds, cut down on them. Said she was doing good.
I was coming in to tell you that I had a red-bellied woodpecker just now. I am sure glad I had to report on it,
Morning Sissy! I have read a little on this mornings blog. My prayers are with you today. You are a very strong person. Thank you for sharing...hopefully sharing helps. Bless you!
didn't think the drains would come out this soon:(
MAAAARRRRRGYYY...I'M HOLLERING AT YOU....PAIR OF EAGLES IN OUR NEST..HURRY!!
Okay, that worked!!
Deb, red-bellied woodpeckers are common at my feeder. I have never seen a pileated woodpecker. (Sp?) I want to sooo badly!
Yay, Hedgie!
Lolly - we were there for awhile, weren't we! ♥ ☺ ♥
Mits, I think you are right. Quality is same in all three positions. I think it was just a coincidence the first time I changed it.
Anyone have Margy's telephone # ?
Glad Sharon got a good report!
I'm not surprised they didn't take out drains since Sharon said she was still draining. Changing antibiotics probably means that there is some infection which could account for the more severe pain she's been having.
I think the best quality is when you hit "show all"...for me it makes the pic slightly smaller, and the best quality. But it doesn't stop the choppines.
Gotta go get some work done....drat--sun is out--can't clean sunroom windows in the sun!!!
they changed antibiotics because the ones she was on made her sick when she ate anything:(
I haven't either, Lolly. The first red-bellied I saw was at NCTC and now I have seen 2 more since then. Megan showed it to me.
Nor sure of Margy's plans for today.
Just take pics and email to her.
how do you take pics on the live feed , Jo?
Paula - I can't see your avatar...
Jim is missing too.
Jo, Paula's avatar is there. You are having computer problems.
I can't take pics on LIVE FEED
I have the still cam up and the Pop Up on. Pics from the Still Cam is how I do it .
Paula and Deb - can you get video clips from the Live Feed?
I have been found! Thanks WANDA -
they are like two peas in a pod..
Eye Candy !! ♥ ♥
Thanks, Wanda, that's the kind of phone call I like to get ! ♥
ok, forgot about the still cam;)
Yes, I can get video, did a small clip to see if it worked, but they are just standing there. The sad thing is we can't rewind anymore. :(
And I just heard Eagles at Maine....
Some day we will hear them at NCTC - I just know it ! ☺ ☺
Yes, I can video them.
I miss the rewind also!
So, If you don't see it live, you've missed it!
Yay Margy! So happy you made it!
Unless someone else recorded it!
I think Jim is stuck in email land...
Thye have been there an hour! Can not get anything accomplished this way.
30 second cam is ahead of the live feed for me.
pic is so much clearer when the sun goes in
30 second cam is ahead of the live feed for me.
Hen Party in Pennsylvania...just like on here! ( Sorry, RED....♥)
Lolly :
I am like you...can pretty much only tell which bird is which, when they are together like this...xoxo
I can't get the 30 second page anymore....pops up and says page is not available
Question? you don't think we are watching a rerun on our cam - do you?
Paula, enjoyed the story of the swimming eagle. Ahhhh! Water therapy!
ah, was starting to think so too, Jo
I was wondering the same thing Jo,
No, surely not!
Just wonder what Liberty and Belle are thinking about up there on top of the world....
I have a couple of pictures and I am waiting to see it they repeat.
No, I don't think so...think they are just relaxing.
Sissy - We're here for you, all day long, every day....... and for all those with loss and sadness to bear...
♥ ♥ ♥
The picture from 12:43 doesn't repeat, but I think the later ones do.
Weren't Suzanne's Pics of the Finland Sea Eagles Greaaaatt! Sure was nice to see those feathers in that snowy nest this morning again...
Okay, Wanda. You are going to have to run out to the nest and check on this. Only kidding!!☺
Eeewwieee in the hole at BWO
Was....
In the hole? Margy
Glad BWO is working
Belle and Liberty might as well just mate while they are there....♥
I think Paula is right, a lot of similar poses but none of my pictures match. Now we know we aren't in a loop.
