Been lurking in between what seems like 100 phone calls this evening!! Now trying to watch my shows. Paula, so sorry to hear about your ex.....praying that he has peace throughout his journey. Night, Sharon. Wake up feeling better in the morning!!
Helen, meant to tell you that Maddie is a real cutie!! Hey, Anne Marie...long time no see! You have missed a lot lately!! Lolly, have a safe trip to Houston and a nice early Christmas. Watch those hands!
Thanks Hedgie! Hands are wrapped. I take the bandages off for longer periods, but then they start to ache. Will take the ace bandages off for the wedding and reception. ☺
Paula..prayers for your ex and family. That is really tough.
It's just about that time again. Sandman is making his rounds. We had some super nice visits from our Royal Pair today...hope to see some more of them tomorrow. Sissy, my heart was so heavy today, thinking of you. Sounds like you have had a lifetime of heartaches. You are with a lot of friends now, who love you and have you in our prayers. PAULA, prayers are with your ex, that he will have a peaceful end to his life. I was so touched by your compassion and caring for him...prayers for you too.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE SLEEP TIGHT MANY PRAYERS BEING SAID TONIGHT
Good night, Jo. Sleep well. Lolly, don't let anyone try to shake hands with you! Yes, Paula, I should have said that my thoughts are with you, too. Regardless of circumstances, I think most of us have compassion for our exes if for no other reason than because they are the other parent to our children, and we have to walk that tightrope for them.
Actually, we have remained friendly. Whatever circumstances caused us to go our separate ways, there was never any animosity. He's always been a good Dad to John. It's just such a sad thing. I know what it's like to lose your father.
LISA AT BWO RESPONDCE TO EMAIL I SENT YESTERDAY: There is a metal screen on the bottom of the platform. So the sticks on the right blew out, and now you can see the screen. But a bird could still stand on it if they needed to. It's not an actual hole in the nest.
If we get a new thread an it is after 9:15am. Could someone please move this onto new thread ty.
I just got home, DANA, checked our nest first of course and saw the blipping, so moved to some of the others, Eagles calling in Maine. Some. We might even be able to see an Eagle in our nest if one shows up but it will be a very squirrely view.
I'm pretty much going to straight to bed, will read up on everything in a few hours....
Paula my thoughts and prayers are with You and Your Son. With Rob and wife and children and surrounding family members. May God Bless Him With PEACE that passes all Understanding.....
Paula, read your post from last night about your family, I am so very sorry, and hope that the days ahead will have comfort and peace for all. You know we are your prayer family...

Like to ask for prayers for a "wonderful lady that passed away on Wednesday". For her husband who is not well (not long to live). For their daughter and her husband and their 2 children. This lady and her husband came "more" into my life. When my daughter was age 1. My daughter is now 27. They have a lot of friends also.
Ha ha. Good one Helen. Last time I was in the hospital I had a woman anaesthesiaologist. The first thing I told her in recovery was. "You are the prettiest doctor I ever slept with". She came to see me every day. lol

Good morning, everyone, just about ready to leave for SF. Cold here today but no snow, like Bluefield. It was 9 about 8 o'clock, hope it has warmed up some.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... I am at my Mom's right now, having some lunch. I had to take her to the Emergency Room last night with breathing difficulties. They have been running tests and taking blood since 3o'clock. Her doctor came in and had her admitted. They have turned her every which way but loose. Haven't come up with anything yet. She was given an injection and will be given a stress test for her heart. Red - That's a female. Apparently the two orange tabby's are male (and they are both spoken for - one by my wife, the other by the foster mom), the gray is a male and the two calicos are female. The orange tabby's have settled down nicely. The other three are still pretty wild and need socializing which the foster mom is working hard at.

FRIDAY UPDATE FOR LUNEY.......
Friday, November 21
“Wouldn't be easier for the cub to develop his crawling skills on a surface that isn't slippery?”
This seems to be a frequent question that is being asked of us recently as the cub continues to squirm about the den. I can assure you that he is right on track in developing his crawling skills, which will eventually turn into walking. Just as with humans, he needs to develop not only the coordination but the strength needed to support his body weight. We have seen signs of this, as Heather has mentioned in her Nov 15th and 16th updates, but he not quite there yet. Even when placed on a different surface during his weight checks he can push up with his front limbs, but cannot stand on his hind limbs for more than a second or two. Some may remember the non-slip strips that we added to a section of the floor when Mei Lan was learning to walk and I have to say I never saw that these strips really help her out. This cub, just as Mei Lan did, will crawl when it is his time.
We have also lately been asked about the lack of bedding material for the cub. As was mentioned in the November 9th update, the pandas are very comfortable in the dens. The dens are heated and it’s quite cozy in Lun Lun’s and the cub’s area. Bedding is provided to give the pandas a choice of substrates, but Lun Lun chooses not to use the bedding and now prefers to place the cub in areas without bedding. She did the same thing with Mei Lan. Giant pandas have very thick wooly coats, which keep them well insulated and comfortable on surfaces that wouldn’t be comfortable to us. The cub’s coat is dense and wooly too. He is comfortable and content on the bare floor. This is where Lun Lun prefers for him to be and we respect her preference by not moving the cub from the area where she places him.

I just watched the PBS show about eagles again on their web page. Guess I had missed a little of it.
DANA---You forgot to count the DONKEYS this am!!----ho!----I counted about 20---give or take!!!
Steve has given us a new thread

Thanks Bob. I guess no adoption here then.
RED!---While I watched the PBS EAGLES---I was amazed how much we have learned about EAGLES!!---ho!------ALSO the EAGLE that our local train found injured close to the track---when DNR came to pick it up--EAGLE started swimming across the river (with injured wing)---& out swam the 2 DNR men---Then EAGLE flipped over showing his talons & ready to fight---they threw a coat over it!---SUCH AWESOME BIRDS!---
