Just don't understand if a person watches a Giant Panda break a bamboo shoot in its mouth, why they don't think it can't do the same thing to their arm....no common sense
Candy I just know the kindergarten class must love your Cam teaching skills. What better way to learn then to see! I bet they think you're Santa Claus You looked like him! ((hugs))
Thanks Steve for the new thread and Red for the heads up. Just read the article on the student bitten by the Panda. Anyone who jumps into any animal enclosure that is fensed off should havae his head examined. What jerks; like the animals are fenced off for no reason? I feel sorrier for the panda than the 20 year old who should have known better.
JO, I guess I am still a 65 year old kid at heart. I love being with the kids. They keep you hopping, but young and feeling like you have made a difference in their lives. Lolly knows as she was a K teacher.
NORMA We aren't doing good at all. Looks like we will lose this one this week too. Glad to hear your team is taking the game. Our PE teacher will be happy come Monday morning in school. She went to school there.
HEY KIDS!!---Just went over to fix lunch----There are at least 5 or 6 deer there-----They just look at me & treat me as if I am one of 'theirs' when I am looking out the window!!---'CRAZY NORMA' is loose again!---ho!----
You have that one right RED> You can even see it in Kindergarten the way they act; no respect for anyone or anything at this early age even. BUT then we take a good look at their parents (if they have both parents or living with a parent and boyfriend or grandparents, or between 2 parents...) It is really sad. They don't stand a chance, most of them.
Wow NORMA! How neat. We don't see deer in Colington Harbour; only at the Wright Brothers air field early mornings and at dusk. They are at other places on the Outer Banks tho. We used to have them up north when I lived there. They are such pretty and gentle looking animals. Lucky you.
Can you believe it Mits? I say the same thing. Parents just don't seem to have the time so have fun with their children anymore; after school program, dinner, bed. Some don't even get up with them to see them off to school.
You have to say SOME PARENTS as I know of 3 gals that are Moms with Dads that do things with my grand children and ggchildren.. Thank The Good Lord. But I agree with you Candy about the majority - so sad but so true. That's why I liked Steve's Program No Kid Left Inside
Loretta, the majority of people I talk to at the zoo, do not think Giant Pandas are wild.....and that goes straight across age lines, not just the young....and you know what some people don't believe it...they are the ones I'd like to open up the door and let inside to see for themselves.
Thanks for the tip Margy. I don't go to mass until tomorrow, so will be watching.
OH GREAT, WE LOST THE FOOTBALL GAME! :(:(:( Maybe next week. I think they put in our first string quarterback that had been out injured for most of the season. His replacement was doing so good. I didn't watch the game, so don't know if he started. Oh well, gloom and doom. NOT FOR LONG. Not with all you wonderful people around me.
HELEN---I just read that took place in CHINA!!---WHAT AN IDIOT!!----Can't imagine why a 20 year old would want to hug a panda that size!!-----UNBELIEVEABLE!!
Helen, our kitty looks cute, too, but in a certain mood she would grab your arm & try to bite! Now that we have new kitten, they play fight w/each other & don't bother us! I can understand why you'd like to have some people enter the den!! LOL There are jerks born every minute unfortunately. Thx Margy for ISS info--I'll be looking & bet you get the most money in your basket at church than anyone! ♥ ♥
Boo Hoo, Candy that your team lost. I have NO idea what MD is doing, but our boss flew out of here at noon--he has season tickets.Think that's great that your "kids" can watch the animal cams. Amazing that there is TV in school these days!! Norma, you'll have to set up a deet cam! LOL
Well, be shutting down 'puter & printing out sales report on $0 that we got today....see ya on the flip side ☺
Good afternoon everyone; I have posted some photos on a new blog called fall-colors at the water-shed you can check them out.click on each photo to enlarge it.I like thin DSL its fast and i can post on here better.
Well, I understand the Chinese guy's impulse to hug a Panda...they look just like a 'Teddy bear' I carried around by the ear and slept with when I was a kid.
BUT! I don't understand how stupid you have to be to ignore posted warnings that the bears are "bears" and can be dangerous to your bod if you get too close.
Little ZZ is getting to look "exactly like" a miniature Bai Yun. In fact, if you don't have something to compare size to, sometimes you can't tell which is which.
I think it is just since they have grown their winter coats that the resemblance has become so similar.
They were both just doing the same thing too: standing on their hind legs sniffing for and eating the "enrichment treats" the keepers had left on table structures. They were looking the same and doing exactly the same thing with their backs to each other. It was uncanny.
Great that GeeGee is out of the hospital. Yes anxious to hear from Wanda to here.
Oh my goodness thank GOD Bev and Mattie weren't hurt badly. Although that kind of soreness is terrible. I'm sure Bev knows if by tomorrow something acts up to go to the doctor. Even though they were both checked out at EMR.
A lots of us say "we would like to hug a panda cub". I don't think we have said "we want to hug an adult panda".....Well I guess one guy got his monies worth and won't be doing that again. Hope they keep an eye on the panda. In case the guy gave it any kind of disease. Numb guy!!!
Thanks -- I notified our computer person. We either have an issue with the computer, the network or the satellite dish. Glad we're getting these problems out of the way before the Eagle Cam goes live. :-)
Yeah, I am trying to rest. Becky gets off work at 6:30 so Thelma is going to stay up there with her until then. This is all bordering on just plain ridiculous.
Sharon that was very smart. The doggies sometimes don't understand. Might jump up mistakely being kind. Good to be around someone also. Hope you feel better. Keeping everyone in prayers there.
I guess everyone is fixing or eating supper. I sent a short comment from my Mom's, letting you know that she was home and all settled in. I can't find it on here...so only Heaven knows where I sent it to ;) I spoke with her doctor, and he said all of her tests and blood work showed nothing but a healthy 88 year old woman with a LOT of arthritis, and consequently, a woman who DOES NOT LIKE A STRESS TEST!!! Doctor's words.
Margy stopped in for a visit with Me and GeeGee, and God love her, the next time you see her, she will be missing a leg...because GeeGee talked it off :) She wore a bright yellow sweatshirt with Monarch Butterflies on it (I know she wore it to brighten up Mom's day...and it did). She can't wait till next Summer to watch the caterpillars hatch again.
We are all so lucky to have each other, and I am so glad Margy is one of us. I wish you could all have her living near you to touch your lives the way she has touched mine and my family. ((Hugs)) to you Margy.
Wanda, I am glad GeeGee's tests came back ok and she is home again. You are lucky to have Margy close enough to drop in for visits. That was good thinking on her part to wear the butterfly sweatshirt.
Thanks, Helen...Mom walked into her house and looked around at everything as though she had been gone a week. Started planning her garden already. Says she is going to take her cart down over the hill and get some rich dirt from her compost pile and put that in the garden and plant her spinach in it in March. BIG plans for a LITTLE lady:)
Hubby & I are back from Mass and dinner. You're right Wanda that Prayer Power works! I am so grateful we have each other & yes I agree that Margy is a ray of sunshine to all of us.
Wanda - GeeGee is such a remarkable lady, I would have gladly let her talk both arms AND legs off, - so bright and espressive. I learn a lot just from being around her, and you too.
Thanks, all, for your encouraging and complimentary words...I feel so very blessed to be able to be, where and with whom the Lord seems to have designed it for me. That includes GeeGee, all you ladies and gentlemen, and my Grandson.
God Bless Us, Every One....as Tiny Tim would say...
Good evening all. Wanda so glad Gee Gee is home. Paula how is your mom doing? Sharon let us know how Mattie's foot is? We had a dalmatian and when I came home from surgery one time we were afraid she would jump on me. Put pillow on stomach let dog in and she ignores me. So much for love.
My Ex, Rob, John's Dad, passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon at 4pm. I stopped by the hospital yesterday before going to see Mom, Gave him a kiss goodbye. Hugged my son and Ex-MIL and SIL.
Stopped by Ex MIL house tonight, stayed for dinner with her and ex-SIL's. Nice to still be friends after all these years...always have been. Just wanted to stop and offer any help I can.
Funeral is Tuesday....son is doing OK, trying to keep busy getting things together for funeral.
Mom is doing good, progressing in rehab. She has stood on her own every day this week. Will see her again on Thursday for TGiving dinner at the Nursing home...family can attend, so youngest son Michael, older brother and I will have lunch with Mom. Will do a turkey next weekend and have everyone here then.
Last time I skied was with ex SIL and friends...came home all bruised up, but had a fun time...but haven't skied since...I am not a snow person...I'll sit in the lodge and watch, thank you very much!
Paula so sorry to hear about Rob. Glad your mom is doing good. I am with you with the sking will watch from inside. The day of my mil funeral I fell on my butt after a few days went to the chiropractor told him I broke my butt. Said no only bruised inwardly.
Paula... there are few words which come to mind at the moment, but my prayers are with you and the family at this time of loss. It is comforting to know that you could be there for support.
It is Good News about your Mother...I bet the festivities at the Nursing Home will be quite special. My sister was at Somerford in Hagerstown two Thanksgivings ago, many family members went, they took guitar and played the piano there, and brought the house down!
Paula, how wonderful that you were able to stay friendly with you ex and his family. They are lucky to have you in their lives at this time. Glad that his passing was peaceful. Prayers for the family.
Paula, prayers for all of you. I am glad to hear your mom is doing better and standing up again.
The last time I skied my BIL took me to the top of Pikes Peak in the back of a jeep and down we went. I was terrified!! It was so steep and I was not a good enough skier to be there. I switched to cross country skiing, no steep cliffs to worry about. Now I haven't been cc skiing in about 10 years.
When my Dad was in the nursing home, Gene would go there to have coffee with him several times a week and we both went to have lunch with him on Wednesdays. It was an absolute joy to have that time with all the residents there. Some were so funny and some were absolute grouches...but I enjoyed it nevertheless. Dad would eat everything on his plate, and then start eating from mine. Oh, I do cherish those times.
Speaking of skiing, there is always sled-riding. One of my worst rides was down an icy slope, couldn't get stopped so decided to wreck....long slide on the tail bone. Not Fun !
Oh, yes, Margy, thanks for the reminder of my surprise visitor. I was having some lunch at Mom's yesterday, and I saw a phesant walking across her yard. Have never seen one there before. I used GeeGee's camera to photograph it, but didn't know how to operate it properly, so the pictures didn't turn out very well at all. You can still see that it is a phesant if you look closely. It was so beautiful. Have a look on "Wanda's Wishes".
Deb, I have heard that cross country skiing is the very best exercise you can have. I would think of that as a fun way to stay in shape and loose weight. Not enough snow here to do that.
Ceil, Gene is on a hunting trip in Elkins, Wv. If he were here we might would have had phesant for Thanksgiving dinner. Phesant is delicious. My Dad use to hunt phesant and GeeGee cooked it to perfection. It has been many years since I have had that delicacy. (wouldn't have shot GeeGee's...hope she gets to see it).
I hate to use cuss words, but: Rats, Phooey, Bummer and Doo-Doo!
I just tagged for a morning shift - 6 am to noon...Wah Wah Wah.... I knew my week-end "off" was fragile, but was hoping the sick person would be better for her shift...Sigh It is What It Is...
So I guess I better batten down the hatches, and say Good Night, One time, once, and for all. Really ! Take Care, Sweet Dreams, Prayers for Peace, Wellness, Comfort and Strength. xo ♥
I couldn't believe it either, Paula. Luckily my BIL was good and had lots of patience. I had forgotten about it until talks of the last time everyone skied.
Wanda, I can tell that is a pheasant, the state bird of SD! This year is the 100th anniversary of the pheasant being introduced to the United States.
Deb, when we first moved here, we had all kinds of foraging birds. They have all but gone now with the houses and traffic that have built up in the 30+ years that have followed. We use to see pheasant and quail trot through our property with their little chicks. What a sight that was. They little one really had to scurry to keep up with mom. LOL
There are lots of pheasants in south central SD and in the north east. Towns argue over where there are more pheasants. They bring in a lot of money to the state. I can't believe how much money people spend to get 3 pheasants.
I see quite a few, depending on the time of year. Right now they are hiding--hunting season. Mostly you see them early morning, late afternoon when they are feeding.
Wanda that is a beautiful ring neck pheasant in between those post! I watched the Thanksgiving movie from Hallmark - it was good. That Margy must have an On and an Off switch inside of her to get sleep for these shifts. I need to look at IN Dave's pics - I read his remark and then forgot to look at them. Paula that is good news about your mom and her Thanksgiving will be special with you & family being at dinner with her.
Just wanted to jump on here and thank you all for all the prayers and good wishes. They really work, ya know.
Wanda, I am so glad Gee Gee is home and doing better. I would love to meet her sometime. If she is anything like you and Capt. Gene, she must be a real gem.
Paula, I am sorry for the loss of Rob. Is your son okay? Prayers are coming your way.
Again, thanks to all for the prayers. Good night and God bless us everyone!!
Oh yeah, and I KNOW the pandas wouldn't bite me. I AM one of them you know!!
Now really, isn't that ridiculous that an adult would actually think it was a good idea to hug a panda? I might would have to try it on Luney but that is because he is ours!!
Good night/morning, whichever way you look at it! Finally got caught up on mails and blog comments! Paula, so sorry about your ex...but a blessing that he didn't linger and suffer. I know that your caring and support were appreciated by him and his family, and, of course, your son. Sympathy to all. OMG...Sissy, you have used up your bad luck for sure--nothing else bad can possibly happen! So glad that you and Mattie weren't hurt. Too bad about the car...was it your red one? And what about Mattie's fall...please tell us her ankle isn't broken... Sharon, glad you are back home safe and sound...who's Becky?? Great pics, Dave!!! When did you take them? We have no fall colors left! Sorry you got called to work tomorrow, Margy. Good to hear that GeeGee is home. Bill's mom is doing okay....they now say it was a TIA--precursor to stroke. Found that her carotid arteries have some blockage. More tests scheduled, and then possibly roto-rooter of those arteries. Hope I didn't leave out any of the important stuff. Enjoyed reading everyone's comments. I don't feel the least bit sorry for the dumb Chinese guy...he got what he deserved!!! JMHO. Talk to you all tomorrow. Prayers for all in need.
* Good Morning (or Afternoon...) Eagle ♀'s and ♂'s Buds
I got the early morning work shift this morning, catch you MUCH Later.
I found this on the ISS tracking site, thought it was quite interesting: ISS Toolbag BRIGHTNESS: 6 (use binoculars) On Nov. 18, 2008, spacewalking astronaut Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper dropped her backpack-sized toolbag and it floated away from the International Space Station. The errant bag, about as big as a hiker's backpack, is now orbiting Earth. It is visible through binoculars and small telescopes.
Good Sunday morning to all you wonderful people out there. Not much moving just now. our nest is MT, but I thought I heard an eagle call in the distance once.
PAULA So sorry to hear of your ex and son's fathers passing. It is always very sad to lose someone, he is in a better place now with with the Lord looking after him and suffering no more.
Good news about your mother getting up by herself all week and having Thanksgiving dinner with her at the nursing home. That will surely lift up her spirits! Will keep her in prayers for recovery.
WANDA so glad to hear your mom is back in her own home and doing well. Can't believe that she is already planning on planting her garden in the spring. She is something else, especially at 88. You are so lucky to still have her and she is lucky to have you and Gene. Now she has even met another angel in Margie. That is great.
Geez, I sure wish something or someone would get spidey's web out of there. I know he is God's creature too, but he needs to find another place to put his web. :)
Wanda God Bless GeeGee's heart...sorry she had to go through those test. Just hearing the results though has to make her and you feel much better. Glad she is home and I know you too are GLAD and HAPPY!!
You know WANDA it is really good that your mom wants to stay active. It keeps her going and in good spirits. I hope that you have many more wonderful years with her.
Thanks, Dana...Yes, all those tests were worth what GeeGee went through. Now we know everything is good to go. (She says she is glad she had the tests, but doesn't ever want the stress test again)
Oh well hubby is up. I can go and get my coffee now, and turn on the curling iron. I don't want to scare anyone in mass this morning with what I look like now. :)
Yes, Candy, it is good that she tries to stay active. I try to let her do everything that she can, by herself, to keep her mind and body working. She gets confused sometimes, but I try to let her figure things out by herself. I don't want her to be too dependent on me and become a recluse.
That is for sure Wanda. I know what you mean. Mom will be 83 in May. She is quite used to doing things for herself. Won't let you help much. She still mows her yard with the self-propelled mower. Moves furniture around in house all the time. Some things not much she will let me help. Believe me it is only when she can't for just a little while.
I just heard the dogs again today hee hee Heard them yesterday although no eagle was in nest. One comes very close up to you the other doesn't. Last time before Open House when I was at the turn in road. The one brought a stick to me. lol
I do believe that piece of whitish stuff in nest almost middle of nest. Is possibly a turtle shell. JMO That is what I seen Belle pick up and it had some nesting material with it. Whatever it is..
DANA I second, third forth, fifth, etc. your remark to the wonderful people at NCTC. They are the greatest. I just wish I lived closer.
That piece in the middle of the nest is what I saw her pick up. It could be a small turtle shell. If that is what was brought for breakfast, that wond'l last for too long in the stomach. :)
DANA Right now I hope they are out looking for breakfast. I would hate to think that they were close to the nest on a branch and not in the nest so we could see them; selfish person that I am. :)
I am chuckling her to myself. Thinking about the leftover turtle shells how our eaglets would practice on them. Tugging and pulling with their small beaks. Memory Lane.............
I can't wait until I can retire in another year. I just love watching all their antics and all the different wildlife there is out there. It boggles the mind.

That story is so sad...
#1) for the young student
#2) for Yang Yang
Must remember always:
Don't be deceived. Pandas might look cute but they're not to be trifled with.

Hi Folks, here is a message from Hedgie:
Please tell the folks on the blog that I can't get on...hopefully my time in the Hughesnet penalty box will end this evening, and I can try then!!
She will have a LOT of catching up to do when she can sign on...
Best wishes to all, just stopping in before getting ready for church.
xo ♥
I so agree with you there, Candy...The 20 year old is the one that supposedly has a brain.
Too many of our young people have their heads up I-Pods and video games and never learn any common sense.
NORMA We aren't doing good at all. Looks like we will lose this one this week too. Glad to hear your team is taking the game. Our PE teacher will be happy come Monday morning in school. She went to school there.

Why have the children if they don't want to be a part of their lives and upbringing. AND now I'll get off my soap box. AMEN like Mits says.
Frankly, I don't know why some people even have children...jmho.
Way to go NORMA and roll Tide. WE aren't going to win again this week. :( It is even in Chapel Hill. :(:(:(

I put Moose cam picture on the nest cam page, I wonder if it was Pook.
Hi Deb - Anxious to see Pook's pic from the moose cam.
Wanted to say that I am so very grateful that GeeGee is home.
Anxious to hear from Paula to see how life is going for her.

I too Jo thought Pook didn't get that close. One of them stepping on your toes is gonna hurt.

Deer on the Harrison, Mi cam nice beautiful coloring!!!!
give Mattie a hug from me...and you, my dear, rest;)
Yeah, I am trying to rest. Becky gets off work at 6:30 so Thelma is going to stay up there with her until then. This is all bordering on just plain ridiculous.
I came back out to Sissy's to stay until Thelma gets back because I am afraid to be at my house with my dogs by myself for very long.

Maybe some of you can type this into your browsers to get the bird/deer live streaming cam at Harrison, Mi.
The colors on that cam are "like in real life". Deer are beautiful. So are the birds!!!
Sharon that was very smart. The doggies sometimes don't understand. Might jump up mistakely being kind. Good to be around someone also. Hope you feel better. Keeping everyone in prayers there.
I hear a bird chirpping at our cam.
5 deer at the Harrison, Mi cam
Hummmm could an eagle be in the branches above our nest????
Eagle Alert--Our nest.
Eagle is at the top, partially hidden by spideys web.
And gone.
Oh, no...I'm too late :( :(
I guess everyone is fixing or eating supper.
I sent a short comment from my Mom's, letting you know that she was home and all settled in. I can't find it on here...so only Heaven knows where I sent it to ;)
I spoke with her doctor, and he said all of her tests and blood work showed nothing but a healthy 88 year old woman with a LOT of arthritis, and consequently, a woman who DOES NOT LIKE A STRESS TEST!!!
Off to figure out what is for dinner. BBL
Wanda, so glad Gee-Gee is back home:)
deer at Kentucky deer cam
also at snowman cam
Thanks, Helen...Mom walked into her house and looked around at everything as though she had been gone a week. Started planning her garden already. Says she is going to take her cart down over the hill and get some rich dirt from her compost pile and put that in the garden and plant her spinach in it in March. BIG plans for a LITTLE lady:)
THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS FOR GEE GEE....IT WORKED!
Hubby & I are back from Mass and dinner. You're right Wanda that
Prayer Power works! I am so grateful we have each other & yes I agree that
Margy is a ray of sunshine to all of us.
God Bless Us, Every One....as Tiny Tim would say...
xo ♥

Going to go finish yesterday's blog..
Welcome Back, Paula...so comforting to "see" you...
WandaL Don't forget to tell the gang what you saw at your Mom's - the feathered things.
and I just loved the story about Nurse James bringing in that cup of coffee to her... ♥ ♥
Welcome Paula - See you in a little while........
ER, I Mean WANDA not WandaL
Dana Once you open up that site in Michigan, what link or cam are you going to?
Thanks in advance...
So much for love.
dalmations are like that...:)
Hi Ceil & Margy
The MI cam takes a few minutes to open... Then it automatically takes
you to the different feeders.
Hey Jo.
Off to get some Ben & Jerry's
Is it just me, or this Blog taking forever to refresh??
I'm open for suggestions.
Thanks, Dana, I'll try it in a little bit...I opened it up but it stayed on the open up page, with those pops when new blog comments came on....
Deer Up close and Personal at Snowman cam...
CEIL - Get enough for all of us ! xo ☺
How is Mattie's foot?
Going in to check out a movie that hubby thinks I would enjoy. BBL
Paula - I think it was more the hip & thigh of Mattie's that is probably
very bruised. Nothing broken.
Mits may know more......
Thanks you all for your prayers and support.
Hey Deb, glad you found an outfit for the Wedding!
Margy - you are a sweetheart! ♥
Take Care, Get your Rest... We Need You ! x o x ♥
Margy, I will forgive the WandaL if you will forgive the igMargy ;)
As my son said...he is at peace now
Paula, how wonderful that you were able to stay friendly with you ex and his family.
Done Deal, Wanda!
I know you were exhausted when you posted your last message last night, but it was thoughtful of you to keep us updated on how things were going... ♥
Deb - I can't believe you skiied off Pike Peak!
Wanda an Gene has the rifle. It would have been nice for Thanksgiving. Only kidding.
Deb, I have heard that cross country skiing is the very best exercise you can have. I would think of that as a fun way to stay in shape and loose weight. Not enough snow here to do that.
Going to call it a night.
Prayers that all have pleasant dreams.
Paula, condolences to your son on the lose of his Dad.
Good Night Ceil...hope the ice cream was good !
x o ♥
Thank you Mits, and everyone else for your thoughts and prayers.
Yep - can sure tell it is Pheasant...That is so cool that you saw it, and that they are around here.
I have had pheasant before too, it IS delicious !
I hate to use cuss words, but:
Rats, Phooey, Bummer and Doo-Doo!
Really ! Take Care, Sweet Dreams,
Prayers for Peace, Wellness, Comfort and Strength.
xo ♥
GOING ONCE, GOING TWICE...GONE!!!
Sleep well, Margy;)
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, MARGY:)
LOL
Deb, do you see a lot of pheasant there? Or on your outings?
There are lots of pheasants in south central SD and in the north east. Towns argue over where there are more pheasants. They bring in a lot of money to the state. I can't believe how much money people spend to get 3 pheasants.
I see quite a few, depending on the time of year. Right now they are hiding--hunting season. Mostly you see them early morning, late afternoon when they are feeding.
Good night all.
Have a good shift, Margy.
Wanda that is a beautiful ring neck pheasant in between those post!
I watched the Thanksgiving movie from Hallmark - it was good.
That Margy must have an On and an Off
switch inside of her to get sleep for these shifts.
I need to look at IN Dave's pics - I read his remark and then forgot to look at them.
Paula that is good news about your mom and her Thanksgiving will be special with you & family being at dinner with her.
Headed off to bed.......
Good Night Everyone
Prayers being said for everyone's needs & thanksgiving being offered for all the answers to our prayers.
((hugs)) ♥
Too sleepy to say anything but:
GOODNIGHT EVERYONE
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS FOR ALL AND LOTS OF THANK YOUS.
I found this on the ISS tracking site, thought it was quite interesting:
ISS Toolbag
BRIGHTNESS: 6 (use binoculars)
On Nov.
Poor gal, bet she is getting teased big time !
Best wishes for a Wonderful Day.
xo ♥

Good Sunday morning to all you wonderful people out there. Not much moving just now. our nest is MT, but I thought I heard an eagle call in the distance once.
GOOD MORNIING CANDY...Are you still on here? I also hear a bird calling...not sure what it is.
Good Morning Candy yes I too am hearing an eagle vocalizing some.
This is so cool...
Good Morning Wanda you heard an eagle ( :
It is 20° here and I need some coffee to warm me up. BBS
This chirpping is another bird I do believe. Don't remember on Maine hearing an eagle chirp.
Oh good morning to you WANDA and DANA. I was hoping to see another morning visit this morning before church time.
The sound seems to be staying on so far and hope that keeps up.
You are right DANA. That chirping is not the eagle sound. Other birds are waking up too. Just wish our eagles would pay us a visit.
WE HAVE A VISITOR IN OUR NEST!!
WANDA we have a warm 36 degrees here on the Outer Banks. :) I am with yoEAgle alert
One just flew into nest EAGLE ALERT
One just flew in and is at 12 noon
EAGLE ALERT!!
TWO IN NEST EAGLE ALERT!!!
NOW TWO IN NEST. FOR BEAKFAST
TWO OF THEM NOW! AND SOUND!
Wanda so glad you made it back from coffee@!!!!!!!!
That was a wiggle into the egg cup!
One flew up on branch
Poof went one. :(
SORRY DANA...I didn't see you hiding there ;) Good Morning to you.
Geez, I sure wish something or someone would get spidey's web out of there. I know he is God's creature too, but he needs to find another place to put his web. :)
It was hard to tell but I think they beaked once under spidey web.
Thanks, Candy...it was a BIG weight lifted off me when the doctor said GeeGee was as healthy as an 88 year old can be.
Up on top of branches in nest now at 12 o'clock position.
Oh yes DAND I can see the one's tail sticking down from about in the upper right.
That must be Lib still guarding the nest.
I meant DANA
Well it doesn't look like it is all the way on top ridge of nest.
Just where the sticks are fuller at 12 o'clock end.
Not a very long visit...but a treat just the same.
Wanda God Bless GeeGee's heart...sorry she had to go through those test. Just hearing the results though has to make her and you feel much better. Glad she is home and I know you too are GLAD and HAPPY!!
All is quiet now on the eagle front. I guess both are just hanging out there waiting for a fish to "fly" by for their breakfast! :)
Lib is still the character. He knows we can't bring the cam picture all the way down. To where he is on that nest rim !!! LOL him to us!!!!
The item that Belle picked up. Anyone have any ideas what it might have been???
You know WANDA it is really good that your mom wants to stay active. It keeps her going and in good spirits. I hope that you have many more wonderful years with her.
Thanks, Dana...Yes, all those tests were worth what GeeGee went through. Now we know everything is good to go. (She says she is glad she had the tests, but doesn't ever want the stress test again)
DANA I thought it looked as if she was just rearranging a small piece of branch in the nest, but what do I know?
Oh well hubby is up. I can go and get my coffee now, and turn on the curling iron. I don't want to scare anyone in mass this morning with what I look like now. :)
Yes, Candy, it is good that she tries to stay active. I try to let her do everything that she can, by herself, to keep her mind and body working. She gets confused sometimes, but I try to let her figure things out by herself. I don't want her to be too dependent on me and become a recluse.
Have a good morning, Candy...see you later in the day.
Back in a bit. Hope you see a return to the nest.
Dana, I'm leaving for a while, BBL
I just heard the dogs again today hee hee
Heard them yesterday although no eagle was in nest. One comes very close up to you the other doesn't. Last time before Open House when I was at the turn in road. The one brought a stick to me. lol
Sorry you have to leave for awhile Wanda.
STEVEN JUST WANT TO TELL YOU, ROB AND THE LADY AND ANYONE ELSE THAT WORKED ON THIS .... THANK YOU ....THANK YOU....THANK YOU!!!! THIS IS TRUE JOY!!
Back for a second DANA. I HEAR EAGLES!!
I do believe that piece of whitish stuff in nest almost middle of nest.
Is possibly a turtle shell. JMO That is what I seen Belle pick up and it
had some nesting material with it.
Whatever it is..
Welcome back Candy ( :
Candy you think they are sitting in the branches above the nest now?
DANA I second, third forth, fifth, etc. your remark to the wonderful people at NCTC. They are the greatest. I just wish I lived closer.
That piece in the middle of the nest is what I saw her pick up. It could be a small turtle shell. If that is what was brought for breakfast, that wond'l last for too long in the stomach. :)
DANA Right now I hope they are out looking for breakfast. I would hate to think that they were close to the nest on a branch and not in the nest so we could see them; selfish person that I am. :)
Then again, maybe they already had their fill of fish or whatever.
I am chuckling her to myself. Thinking about the leftover turtle shells how our eaglets would practice on them. Tugging and pulling with their small beaks.
Memory Lane.............
DANA Upon enlarging the pic, is sure looks like a turtle shell.
Ok then Candy that is what for now we will just say think (wink)...
I can't wait until I can retire in another year. I just love watching all their antics and all the different wildlife there is out there. It boggles the mind.
I think that is eagle sounds we are hearing could be wrong JMO
