Well, Jim, you sure have been keeping us updated on so many things. Thanks for doing the walking for us!

deb said...

I just got back from dog walk and finally saw the moon, but just for a minute and then back behind the clouds.

Night all, off to see Skye in the tower.

movin said...

Well, Hi, Wanda.

There are a couple of new video clips at the SD Zoo, also.

One on an Okapi calf, and one on a young Indian Rhino.

Well, it was fun chatting with some of you tonight (I'll be glad when things get back to normal here). I miss our long, crazy talks late at night. I'll be back soon...right now I have a fourteen year old priority. He is really on a roll and I don't want him to stop

GOOD NIGHT EVERYOONE
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS

Wow- how time flies... yes, Wanda, it was dark when I was outside, that happens this time of year, so much to cut, I'm often running around in the dark.
Jim- my dog is a westie- I am really aggravated about the vet- no real apology, they acted as if it was my fault they couldn't reach me, I feel they didn't try hard enough or follow up.
off to catch a few zzzs...

GOOD NIGHT, EVERYONE....

Looking forward to a good day.

Good Morning, Eagle Buds.

OUR nest looks empty, kinda rainbowy

Nethy fledged from Loch Garten at 10:40 "their time." Camera angles and views quite different now, and no sound. Go Nethy! Now, it's Deshar's turn (the male)!

magpie said...

Turkey Party at PIX, (probably won't last long...) and
Ferry Boat Finney's is unfrozen...

And Nethy is back on the nest...at Loch Garten...

magpie said...

One of the views at Loch Garten showed two birds, Orange VS, and Nethy, perched in a tree above the nest site. It was all pink, silhouetty, and magical looking....looks like that cam is going to switch through a few different views....including the familiar old one of the birds on the nest.

BET CHRISSY IS PROUD OF HER OSPREY FAMILY ACROSS THE POND....

GOOD MORNING MARGY...
I have been looking in on our nest since 6 a.m. and it looks totally abandoned. SAD

magpie said...

Yes, Wanda - - I think I am going to sneak down to NCTC (if the beeper for work does not go off!) and check it out...will try to chase a few up onto the nest if I can...

Also hoping to get some of Megan's Posies! Again - all depends on that old beeper going off...

Candy put it frankly : at least our birds are showing some independence, soaring and fishing on their own perhaps...it's difficult for us, but GOOD FOR THEM...

So nice to share the morning with you....

Love, Magpie xoxo

magpie said...

WANDA - I'd have suggested a field trip with others, but I will have to cut and run if work calls...
so that kind of dampens things a little...

Costume Lady said...

Margy, I would love to go with you. Sounds like an interesting morning you have planned. Gene is an Usher at church this month, so we can't play hookey. Dustin wants to go there and see our Mountaineers in person. We are going to try to arrange to do that before he goes home.
Enjoy your visit. Tell Meggy we said hi.

Costume Lady said...

Look on the Milkweed while you are there and you may find a caterpillar to take home and watch it's metamorphis.

Costume Lady said...

Speaking of Candy, the weather there is not very good right now. A tropical storm, Christabol, is giving them a fit.

magpie said...

Okay - will do, Wanda...
I was usher Saturday at Mass in Charles Town...I understand the commitment...and I would LOVE to have company on this..
but
I got put "on call" late Friday for the whole week, so it really affects how and what I do...I might not even make it all the way down there....

We can put our heads together, us and others...about getting another little field trip there....I am hoping I can get through the gate okay, never had a problem before.

And that storm: prayers for safety, I think she has a little barrier reef protection, judging from what she posted yesterday...Mits has her eyes on it too!

Take Care, Good Day to All.
Gonna Make like a Tree and Leave...

I take that back, just got in to see the swifts. I wonder what the home owners do to make so much noise all the time.

I love signing on with a 'full house' of eagle buddies - even my youngest ones! Hi Mattie & Dustin

Yes we have a naked nest! I hope Magpie rounds up some of them!

I saw all those owl sunning themselves, Norma. I love them!

normabyrd said...

PAULA---I really hope she does!!---Wouldn't it be wonderful if they were there & would put on a show for her?----remember how they SOARED for us that first time!!!!

Mema Jo said...

I was hoping to go over to Market but the heat of the day that hit me square between the eyes when I opened the door - changed my mind!

Mema Jo said...

I don't think I'll ever forget seeing them soaring for us that day.
I can just close my eyes and they are there! AND of course Spunky in the nest - I'll never forget that scene!

Mema Jo said...

JIM Ceil's neighbor had fallen and was in the hospital - her son late at night had taken the dog. SO Ceil is the kind of
Next Door Neighbor you would want to have for your very own!

deb said...

Good morning, Paula, Helen and Jo. Off to get some stuff started, laundry this morning.

And Laundry here too today, amongst other things I didn't do yesterday!
