All my eagle Buddies are chugging right along here this morning! 66 comments since 7am - WOW! I am so very happy to hear from all of you! Now I need to take the time and see what you have been doing!
NORMABYRD: I posted most of the Nest News Sunday starting around 12:30... It was hot hot hot there, was about 90 minutes into the visit, took a Potty Break, came out with a prayer that I would see an Eagle so I could bring back a Happy Report to the Momsters and Dadsters, and then - overhead - a Wild One soaring, staying close so I could really see all its brilliance. Some of its wing feathers were almost transparent..made for a beautiful image...then it soared off out in the direction of the Guard Shack, and I could see two things soaring, could not tell for sure if they were Eaglets or Vultures, but I am pretty sure, Eaglets...just can't say for sure.
Got to Market in Shep-town in time to see Megan and grab up some terrific Posies....
I did make it to the Nest Tree...could not find any Turtle Shells! But Lots of sycamore bark pieces all rolled up like parchment scrolls!
And Yes, when I got there, I shouted in a dignified voice" Goooooooooo Eeeeeeeeeeeeeees ! Musta worked! You were in inspiration.
Time to get rolling..gotta get some thank you cards in the mail, and then get ready to deliver these Birthday Posies, and try to get the Unknown Feather to Steve at NCTC - Good Day, All, Prayers for Safety, and for all our Military and their Families.
Just got off a web cam call from Germany gals! We had sent her a new one & now we can hear each other & see each other as plain as day! Thank the good Lord for technology! Patrick also was able to get some calls through as they wait in Kuwait for transportation into Baghdad.
Mei Xiang’s urinary progestin concentrations have not fluctuated much in the past few days. It is unlikely that the luteal phase has concluded. We will continue to monitor for hormonal changes in samples collected over the coming days.

Good Morning family, all is well this cool morning. We have a cool breeze coming off the coast and it is refreshing. I didnt turn the air on until 5:00 yesterday.
I have legal things to take care of today and then to see my tax man. If it isnt one thing its another. Something wasnt reported right and I am being fined. I am not a happy camper. When it rains it pours.
Great Good Day Everyone in Eagleland!!! Been checking email, reading blog since last5 night. We did get hard rain for a short time, but that was it, so a tad cooler this AM. Been outside flower gardening before it gets too hot. Paula, hubby went to store this AM & DIDN'T get popsicles!!!!!Guess I'll be out later!!!
I'm trying to post New Facials on a new blog...called POOP SHOOT FACIALS. I have two new ones...hope it works. If it does, thanks to PAULA for the suggestion!
Mei Xiang has been spending most of her time resting on the rock work in the exhibit's indoor enclosures. Over the past 24 hours, we saw two very short bouts of ano-genital licking. Mei spent a few minutes licking her paws and also briefly building a nest—dragging bamboo to the den and eating it.
During the day today, she slept while on exhibit. When she woke up, at about 2:30 p.m., she dragged some bamboo into her den for a minute. She seemed less alert today, however she continues to respond to staff and shift from one enclosure to another. Today, she also paw licked for a minute. Mei also interacted with an enrichment ball and ate a biscuit as well as a good amount of bamboo. She is doing a great job of confusing us!
Good morning all! Or should I say good afternoon to you.
Got up and went to work in my flower garden at church. Had to water and pull a few weeds. Gotta do it early or die!
Babysitting again tomorrow. Laurel is taking Joseph to Six Flags. Jacob is staying here with us. He is too young for the rides. Joseph (7) LOVES the roller coasters.
Not much else going on. Just trying to stay cool. Expected 100 today! Yuk!
Monday, July 21 The last couple of days have been pretty exciting. Mei Lan has been quite playful. Last Monday she played for 30 minutes straight. Taking advantage of this, I put a lot of enrichment into the dayroom for her. She was having a blast running around the room with a green jolly ball in her mouth – throwing it up against a wall and chasing it. She also enjoyed knocking over a tub and bucket I had placed high up in the tree, and diving head first (with a somersault motion) into the hammock. She has definitely been a lot more active this past week, and it has been very enjoyable to watch! It’s hard to not stop what you’re doing and watch her when she is in the mood to play.
We have also been getting the building ready in case there is a panda cub. We have spent some time dusting off everything in the building, including the pipes that are on the ceiling. Within the next week or so, after much preparation and cleaning, we should have “the nursery” set up on one side of building.
This morning has already been eventful. JT and the vet staff performed an ultrasound on Lun Lun. Vet staff decided after not getting great pictures from the ultrasound last week, they would try again today early this morning, hoping they could get a better look. The vet was able to locate Lun’s uterus, but could not confirm anything. So there is nothing to report yet. We are still continuing to monitor her hormone levels by collecting urine samples. Good afternoon everyone! Had a real weeper this am: on The View they showed a video story (set to the Whitney Houston song "I Will Always Love You") showing story of two guys who bought a lion cub from Harrods many years ago to rescue him from a cramped cage. When he reached adulthood they released him in the wilds of Africa. MANY years later they located him with a pride; when he saw them he came running to them and jumped on them and hugged them and licked them and nuzzled them. Truly amazing..heart-string pulling. Have tried searching for an online link...no luck so far.
LYNN, Chrissy sent that out this a.m. on Momster mail....it has been around a long time, it is on "you tube"..I already deleted it, but I'm sure some still have it
Thought for the day from Sam Keen in RD: "Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability." Sounds like a great excuse to me!! Great AP news article today on the Braddock Bay Bird Observatory nw of Rochester,NY...they band about 10,000 birds there every year! IT is on a migratory route on the southern shore of Lake Ontario. It also talked about the US Bird Banding Laboratory in Patuxent,MD. 1.2 million birds are banded annually; about 85,000 are recovered yearly, either when found dead or recaptured. One guy involved with the NY banding said that a catbird he banded was found dead on an oil rig 200 mi. south of New Orleans, and a sandpiper was found on Devil's Island off the coast of New Guiana. Interesting stuff!!
07/21/08: Important Note- The Osprey Cam will go offline about mid-week so work can be done on the ground equipment and water impoundment area around the base of the cam.
We expect the cam to be offline for 2-3 weeks, and we'll update you on the progress.
OUR nest looks empty except for some nice shadows..don't see where anyone has seen anything since early this morning...
I have rechecked my bird books, and the little finch family taking flying lessons is not purple finch, but house finch - rosy and similar, but more rosy and less purply.
Also, regarding popping in for a nest visit at NCTC - I talked with Mr. Chase (Steve, our Cam and new thread technician) - he recommends that if a Momster/Dadster would want to do that to give him a call and he will let security know in advance....I believe that I have been fortunate in the past (like for example, BEFORE becoming a Momster) due to the fact that I have worked with most of the officers that work as security guards in one way or another due to my working at 9-1-1... So just a HEADS UP for official purposes, something to keep in mind. It is a US Government site so it makes good sense that they have to use secure methods to do what they do. Good for us, and GOOD FOR THE EAGLES !!
I'll repost this later on for the Evening Shift....
PS - No, I did not see any Eagles when I was there...it was just a very short stop at the gate and a phone call visit with Steve. He says he does see our "Gratitude Messages" on the Blog and appreciates it...
Ferry Boat just now going/went right to left at that site, Nethy and Deshar both back in the nest at Loch Garten, and Hobby Mom up close and personal!
Nap time soon, back on later.
PS: The birthday flower bouquet was a BIG HIT! It was for my grandson's OTHER GRANDMA ( he actually has three, one paternal, one maternal, and one maternal step-Grandma, that's ME.)
The More the Merrier....
Love to all, enjoyed all your comments and news thus far....
The Hobby mom is so beautiful & the 3 chicks are so darn cute! They remind me of the baby hawks. And no, I have not watched any of the feedings but their forum says that mom is like Lib & Belle and make sure all 3 get fed...
Looks like my skull is still position! Wanda, found the website for the banding group, but no cams. www.bbbo.org Lots of interesting stuff! Here's the link to the news article for those who haven't seen it: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/07/20/MNN011PE0C.DTL&type=science
Well, I need to get myself moving. I am going to see the family members of my very dear long time friend who passed on to a very peaceful place. We can remember families in our prayers but I know that it means so much to see them and get that hug of sorrow/joy all in one!
Same game at WE... A fish was delivered, the bigger one grabbed it, and I think she ate the whole thing.
Last night, though, Surprise used a different technique to get under her sister and grab at least part of the fish. And she's getting a lot more aggressive about grabbing it herself since they fledged. Got tired of going to sleep hungry, I guess.
I was down in Shepherdstown early afternoon and came along the river for awhile, "down from the nest" - hoping to see a swooper, saw a bunch of Canada Geese on the water and a few boaters...
Was too "chicken" to go to Dam 4 by myself...
Getting ready to go show a friend the ISS in a bit, skies look GREAT here for it - she was looking but missed it last night..
Oh WOW, ISS comes through at 9:24 from the WSW...I was looking at last nights time....should be good viewing here - there is also another satelite, just as bright at 10:10...only half as fast, however.
I'm pretty sure I saw the ISS. I was in my back yard. Saw a few planes but then saw it. I also got a baby preying mantis climbing up my wall. So I took a leaf and it got on and I put it the garden. We get them quite often.
Home again..... Doesn't sound as though anyone saw any visitors to our nest. Tomorrow is another day! That nest probably smells like decaying fish anyhow so I don't blame them for staying up in the trees and down by the river.
Hope you saw the ISS... I really forgot to look tonight.
This evening went well and thank you all for your concerns. Hugs really do help!
ISS looked good here in Martinsburg too...Cool we can be miles apart and see the very same thing at the same time...friend liked it too..got home 7 minutes too late to read about the other one... looks like "Lacrosse 3" comes through in the morning just around 5:06 ...I will be up for that, might have a look...back to work Tuesday after a five-day hiatus!
Finally got to the store after dinner for popsicles!!!Been watching Jon & Kate. Checked VA Wildlife & no new news on Buddy--that poor little sweetie. Maybe I'll see some kind of birds at Park tomorrow!! Now I sometimes wish the leaves were off the trees! For all hitting the hay, Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>))
Good Evening ladies... I now have the 'puter all to myself. My houseguest decided it was time to go home. He found out that his Step-Dad and Karla are building a deck around their pond and he want's to help. Had to instruct them that Dustin is not allowed to spend very much time in the sun or heat and no strenuous work...as if they didn't know! I feel like my job isn't finished. He'll probably want to come back in a few days. I know I'm going to miss him.
Hi Wanda, I'm still up...always say Good Night a few times, you know. Well, it will be different without the "little one" around...it is an awesome feeling to be part of someone's growth and care, and I am sure he will miss you too. What does he call you, like Grandma or Grammy for example?
Hi Wanda and Margy! Storm getting closer...sounds like Norma probably already got it in her area. Shutting down just in case! Wanda, don't think Dustin should be outdoors at all in this heat. Make him come back to be under Grandma's wing!! Have a peaceful day at work tomorrow, Marg! Pleasant dreams, all fowl friends. Hey, Jim, loved the video!!
Hi, Margy. Dustin calls me Grandma and Gene is Granddaddy. Other two grandchildren called me Grandma Tiger...ALL THE TIME. You should have seen the looks we got in the stores when someone heard me called that...like they thought we came from a foreign country.LOL
Lynn, you are right about Dustin going outside. I only let him out in the morning to get the newspaper and afternoon for mail.
Went to Birthday Party for my Granddaughter in Berryville, Va. this evening and Karla, once again made a wonderful buffet supper for the whole Moose Lodge. Everyone there gave her a card with money in it. She really had a nice little bundle of cash. She is 23. So hard for me to believe. Karla is Lounge Manager and Secretary of the Moose and often has parties for friends and family there. She loves to entertain and is very good at it.
Yup - me too, can hear the rumbling of thunder...gotta hit the sack, 5 o'clock rolls around early.. DEB - - Cool, about the yellow-headed b-bird. I'll be watching for it! HEDGIE - enjoyed the story about bird-banding, imagine: all volunteers WANDA - Night night Grandma Tiger.
Hello and Bye to anyone else that jumps on here before morning "light." xo
I think I need to clarify why I was called Grandma Tiger. Gene has called me Tiger for many, many years and they thought that was what they should call me. Nite, Nite.
Wow- missed everybody...long hot day. Magpie, thanks for all the kind words about my flowers. Wanda- the yellow button like flowers are indeed tansy. Saw the the latest facial- made me hungry...Looks like most of the rain will go below us here, just light showers headed at us. Off to catch some zzz's..
Boy, I don't know what's happening with the Time Warner Internet Service today.
It was great this A.M. with near max speeds download and upload, but something went horribly wrong this afternoon, and it continues this evening with speeds that are barely above dial-up.
And the tech help dept. has gone offshore since last I called. The lines are the worst, and it sounds like a boiler room in the background. They ran me in circles to 4 different tech "levels" and never solved the problem. I couldn't easily understand their accent, and to top that for our American customers, 3 of the 4 were chewing large wads of gum from the sound of things....
Can you pray for tech help advances?? Or a faster Internet cable??
Good Morning Eagle Buds...daybreak is making it easier to see OUR nest, so now to watch and wait for the Mountaineers.
The buck deer is hanging around at PIX.
Did get up early enough to see "Lacrosse 3". It went in almost the exact opposite path as ISS last night, from N NW - almost due South. Needed binocs to see it good...(due to approaching daylight here) - it is about 1/3 as bright as ISS was, but traveled soundlessly in the same fashion... It will be out again Wednesday morning so I will get another look.
Watching the Hooded Crow at Ferry Boat Finney's - and heard a real plaintiff sound at Loch Lowe's - Solo was on the nest earlier, it sounded kinda like a Canada Goose, but more like some kind of something else... A Swan maybe? Didn't sound like hawk or owl... Hobblets got one feeding already.
No running water here for some reason, went off right after I got up, but not before I got water in the coffee pot and brushed the teeth and all..guess I'll find out when I get to work what THAT is all about...NO Mountaineers yet..
Hope your water comes on soon Magpie. That reminds me of McDowell Co., where I used to work. We were constantly going without water there in the summer. Northfork, the town I worked in didn't have a big enough tank. Anyhoo-got to get ready to make some dough. Hope all make a good day-I will do my best. :)

Eaglet in the nest!
Good Morning, Sharon, it is nice to see an eaglet this morning,
Good morning, Sher and Deb. My still cam is a mess. Were there any eaglets yesterday?
Haven't had a chance to look at yesterday's blog yet.
One eaglet in the afternoon and one adult last evening. I wish the picture would clear up, I have colorful squiggles.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
It has been days since I have seen a Mountaineer in our nest...not a very good picture, but better than nothing.
Norma! Now you know better than that.
I haven't had trouble getting on here in a long time...except when Dustin has control of the mouse. LOL
Normabyrd, I think we have more than enough people to help you up!! We all love you so good!!!!
MEGAN...when you get up, I have a question. In the bouquet that Margy gave me, there is a small button-like yellow flower...would that be a Tansy? The bouquet is so pretty; it shouts "Countryside".

Norma, we certainly would help you up. Need your morning commentaries to get us going. I am off to do many errands.
Now we have a nice clear nest picture, just when its empty.
MORNIN' RED EAGLE!!---GREAT to hear from you!!----You know our EAGLES stay in this area during the winter!---Try to come up in October---you should probably see them then!!!----

Our news said lots of power failures in Des Moines, hitting Quad Cities now. I got rain all night last night, luckily missed the severe stuff. Sioux City got damage last night, though.
WOW!!---Those are 'VERY LARGE TURKEYS' in the PA WOODS!!
You must have telepathically sent me that question, Norma. We had warnings, but no damage at my place. We got a much needed rain.
DEB!---Wonderful you all missed the
really bad storms!!---Aren't they scary?---
I like the ones that are loud, but don't cause any damage. I like to watch the lightening light up the sky as long as it doesn't touch the ground. I was in a lightening storm in Cripple Creek, CO, once that was scary. We were too high in the sky for me.
Morning, eagle friends!
How is everyone on this fine summer day?
We're good Paula..not that you're here - work your Eagle Magic and bring us that bird back to the nest...
Nethy, Deshar and Parent feeding time at Loch Garten - nice sunny day there....
Deb - I've been to Cripple Creek! Neat place! Did you gamble while you were there?
Have any of you all been to ICELAND?---At our Fri. nite dinner---one woman's grandson & friend were visiting!!---Grandson works there now & his guest was born there!!----He was telling us about life in ICELAND & birds, etc.--So very interesting!!---Don't think I would want to live there---But would love to VISIT!!----
My mom's family is from Cripple Creek, Paula! I have been there a lot of times. I am not much of a gambler, I am not very lucky, so I have a set limit of $20.00 to lose-ha! The storm I was talking about was for a family reunion. My mom had 9 brothers and sisters all born at home in Cripple Creek.
The Day Care at NCTC - has a fine garden that the children are probably a big part of:
Several "teepees" with bean plants, and tomatoes trained on them, and beautiful flowers, including some Super Sunflowers!
Also, lots of the milkweed was going to seed pods, saw lots of Monarchs, and some Spicebush, plus a lot or sulpurs and white ones.
Thistle is going to seed too!
PAULA: Saw those red raspberries too, ate a few, and the Nightshade is still out...Deja Vu
I haven't been there, Norma. Maybe someday.
DEB: Knew you needed a good soaking rain..."Got What You Asked For." Just like us and the Mountaineers..
Do you to back to work today?
It's a beautiful area, Deb. The roads are a little hairy, tho!
DEB--I just reread & I think that's a bit 'eerie'--you answer my question before I finished asking it!!----NOW THAT'S SCARY!!!
No, I don't go back to work, maybe someday, right now I am enjoying life. I am off to see what I can find today. I am heading out to Lake Andes Wildlife Refuge, last time I was there I only got to go on one road and saw so much, now I have to go back and hit all the roads. BBL
MORNIN' PAULA!!---Be careful of DEB---she answers your question before you ask it!
Deb - I'm not lucky gambling either...that's the limit I set too!
I know, Norma, we must have been on the same wavelength. I am off to, hopefully see lots of fun things.
My sisters and I are all alike, hate to work hard for money and throw it away in a machine. I am too chicken to try card games. BYE
Three hobblets about to get fed, they are still pure white !
Reminds me of Christmas, all snowy like that...
GOOD MONDAY MORNING EVERYONE
computer is acting weird this a.m.
Morning Beach Bunny !
Morning Beach Bunny !
Mei is resting comfortably.
off to get more coffee...bbl
A Person is on the Flamingo CAm, putting out food I think...
Actually - gathering up weeds it looks like....

WHOA MAGPIE!--Isn't 'NIGHTSHADE' poisonous????-----That's the way my grandmother planted her beans---never thought of it as a tepee?------I guess I don't have any imagination!!----ho!-----Did you get to explore NCTC---& did you get to go to 'THE TREE'?---Bet you thought you & died & were in heaven?????----WHAT A PLACE???

NORMABYRD:
I posted most of the Nest News Sunday starting around 12:30...
You were in inspiration.
xo
Time to get rolling..gotta get some thank you cards in the mail, and then get ready to deliver these Birthday Posies, and try to get the Unknown Feather to Steve at NCTC -
Good Day, All, Prayers for Safety, and for all our Military and their Families.

Mei Xiang’s urinary progestin concentrations have not fluctuated much in the past few days. It is unlikely that the luteal phase has concluded. We will continue to monitor for hormonal changes in samples collected over the coming days.
STILL A WAITING GAME
I am kind of hoping we don't have a new stick of butter before Saturday at least. They close down the indoor exhibits if a baby is born, right?

Loretta, I think I need to lend you my eagle cane...no popsicles...2 whacks on the butt!
Sounds like a wonderful start to a new week, Jim. Do you live near the water?
Jim, it sure sounds better than the 101 forcast for here today.
I'm trying to post New Facials on a new blog...called POOP SHOOT FACIALS. I have two new ones...hope it works. If it does, thanks to PAULA for the suggestion!
UPDATE ON NATIONAL ZOO PANDA PAGE
July 19
Yuk!
ZOO ATLANTA UPDATE ON LUN LUN
Panda updates
Monday, July 21
The last couple of days have been pretty exciting.
Lynn Culver
Seasonal Keeper, Carnivores
Good afternoon everyone!
Had a real weeper this am: on The View they showed a video story (set to the Whitney Houston song "I Will Always Love You") showing story of two guys who bought a lion cub from Harrods many years ago to rescue him from a cramped cage. When he reached adulthood they released him in the wilds of Africa. MANY years later they located him with a pride; when he saw them he came running to them and jumped on them and hugged them and licked them and nuzzled them. Truly amazing..heart-string pulling. Have tried searching for an online link...no luck so far.
LYNN, Chrissy sent that out this a.m. on Momster mail....it has been around a long time, it is on "you tube"..I already deleted it, but I'm sure some still have it
http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=adYbFQFXG0U
Christian the Lion reunion
Take Sharon's, this you tube one does not have sound or captions, but you can go to snopes.com for the whole story
Thank you all for the link!!! I don't know much about youtube...had never seen it before I hooked up with you great folks!!
Wanda, just came back in for lunch.
I have my GIANT hiking stick in back of car!!! I can use that!!!
Tee Hee
Wow, that video of the lion with his family was one of the most spiritual sights I have ever seen.
UPDATE FROM BWO
Nest Update
07/21/08:
Important Note-
The Osprey Cam will go offline about mid-week so work can be done on the ground equipment and water impoundment area around the base of the cam.
We expect the cam to be offline for 2-3 weeks, and we'll update you on the progress.
Lynn, I read that article about the Bird Observatory also. Very interesting, but no computer site where we can watch.
awwww, Mei Xiang is practicing her cradling with a toy bong
Mits, I am watching her every move!! Bless her heart. I still have that National Geographic Magazine with her cradling Tai in it. So sweet!
Did you all know that my sister wants to be a panda?
I mean I really want to be a panda. My husband said he wanted a panda, so Sharon said I would turn into one, we would both get what we want!!
lol.....No Sharon, hadn't heard that;)
off to the sundeck for awhile.....later...
He says he does see our "Gratitude Messages" on the Blog and appreciates it...
xo
Ferry Boat just now going/went right to left at that site,
Nethy and Deshar both back in the nest at Loch Garten, and
Hobby Mom up close and personal!

SHARON: Me too, thanks, it is beautiful, thanks for adding this to our day....

I've seen the lion video several times lately. Glo had it on her blog recently and I still cry with joy when I see it.
Magpie --- I am waiting for that sailboat I saw the other day !
Yes, RED - Those are some happy folks: The two guys and the Lion...I guess they were getting "Lion Hugs," and then the Missus meets the family too..
Just remember, JO, Sunday surely seems to be Sailboat Day !!
Snoozaroo time...
Back Later..
ZZ is playing aloft in her hammock now at the SD Zoo.

The Hobby mom is so beautiful & the 3 chicks are so darn cute! They remind me of the baby hawks. And no, I have not watched any of the feedings but their forum says that mom is like Lib & Belle and make sure all 3 get fed...
JIM Thanks! I so enjoyed the
PPS show from your teen days friend.
Each saying had so much meaning.
I am forwarding it to you Magpie..
Looks like my skull is still position!
Wanda, found the website for the banding group, but no cams.

Will try to send article via Yahoo, too!
I hope Suzanne had a good day today and is home now with Gypsy and all her other feline friends. Miss Her!
Well, I need to get myself moving.
I am going to see the family members of my very dear long time friend who passed on to a very peaceful place.
We can remember families in our prayers but I know that it means so much to see them and get that hug of sorrow/joy all in one!
I'll be back later on. Peace
I'm not 100% sure Suzanne was at work today, Mema Jo, are you?
I didn't get any email and she didn't answer my email...which was kinda late for sure.
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
Jo, so sorry you have lost your dear friend. Hugs.
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
Jim, I e-mailed a good morning to Suzanne today and did not get an answer. Will try tomorrow.
I didn't hear from Suzanne either this a.m., which is unusual
Sorry, Margy, thought you knew about the heads-up;)
Evening, all!
Blogging from home, internet at work went down...might be back up tomorrow...
Nest is MT and RP is down...off to get some chore done...
I'll have to catch up later this evening...
Gotta go cook the chicken on the grill...still an MT nest!
Chicken is done...got the watering done too, almost!
Dinnertime here. Wonder what our Juvies ate today?
I was down in Shepherdstown early afternoon and came along the river for awhile, "down from the nest" - hoping to see a swooper, saw a bunch of Canada Geese on the water and a few boaters...
Was too "chicken" to go to Dam 4 by myself...
Getting ready to go show a friend the ISS in a bit, skies look GREAT here for it - she was looking but missed it last night..
Grilled Chicken....aaaaah!
Rats, I missed the ISS.
Grilled Teriyaki chicken!
Jo, so sorry about your friend.
(((HUGS)))
Glad things went well Jo. I am calling it a night today has been busy.
Computer is really acting up also. Cuts things off goes running on. Just want to say pleasant dreams to all.
Good Night, All, Take Care and Prayers.
xo
GOODNIGHT EVERYONE
Finally got to the store after dinner for popsicles!!!Been watching Jon & Kate.
Checked VA Wildlife & no new news on Buddy--that poor little sweetie.
Maybe I'll see some kind of birds at Park tomorrow!! Now I sometimes wish the leaves were off the trees!
For all hitting the hay, Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>))
Heading to bed early...hopefully see ya tomorrow if the internet is working at work!
Enjoy your popsicles, Nature!
What flavors did you get?
Calling it a day!
Loretta - we didn't see one feather of our kids today! Hope you have some luck tomorrow & hope the wrens are keeping you busy with watching them.
Good Night Everyone Anywhere
Peace to you & yours
Prayers for all our needs being said
Good Evening ladies...
Hi Wanda,
I'm still up...always say Good Night a few times, you know.
Well, it will be different without the "little one" around...it is an awesome feeling to be part of someone's growth and care, and I am sure he will miss you too.
What does he call you, like Grandma or Grammy for example?
xo
Hi Wanda and Margy!
Storm getting closer...sounds like Norma probably already got it in her area. Shutting down just in case! Wanda, don't think Dustin should be outdoors at all in this heat. Make him come back to be under Grandma's wing!!
Have a peaceful day at work tomorrow, Marg!
Pleasant dreams, all fowl friends.
Hey, Jim, loved the video!!
It has been a long day, talk to everyone tomorrow.
Margy, I saw a yellow-headed blackbird today. Too tired to post picture tonight.
OK, I'm going to join the rest of you and call it a day. TTYT
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS
Yup - me too, can hear the rumbling of thunder...gotta hit the sack, 5 o'clock rolls around early..
DEB - - Cool, about the yellow-headed b-bird. I'll be watching for it!
HEDGIE - enjoyed the story about bird-banding, imagine: all volunteers
WANDA - Night night Grandma Tiger.
Hello and Bye to anyone else that jumps on here before morning "light."
xo
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
Well, Good Night, everyone.
Looking forward to a better (maybe faster) tomorrow.
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
Good Morning Eagle Buds...daybreak is making it easier to see OUR nest, so now to watch and wait for the Mountaineers.
The buck deer is hanging around at PIX.
Did get up early enough to see "Lacrosse 3". It went in almost the exact opposite path as ISS last night, from N NW - almost due South. Needed binocs to see it good...(due to approaching daylight here) - it is about 1/3 as bright as ISS was, but traveled soundlessly in the same fashion...
It will be out again Wednesday morning so I will get another look.
Heard my first Katydids last night.
Beautiful sound, but reminds that Fall is approaching, makes me sad for school kids and teachers...
good morning magpie and all my other fine eagle friends
hope to see some mountaineers today!?
Watching the Hooded Crow at Ferry Boat Finney's -
and heard a real plaintiff sound at Loch Lowe's - Solo was on the nest earlier, it sounded kinda like a Canada Goose, but more like some kind of something else...
Hi T-Bird! Sorry I took awhile to give you a Morning Greeting, computer all slowed up, got too many cams open already maybe...
Time to get ready to return to work...
Hope you have a good day. Nice sharing the early morning with you..
xo
Hope your water comes on soon Magpie. That reminds me of McDowell Co., where I used to work. We were constantly going without water there in the summer. Northfork, the town I worked in didn't have a big enough tank. Anyhoo-got to get ready to make some dough. Hope all make a good day-I will do my best. :)
magpie-i don't see how you keep up with'em all
Well, off to work. I leave you one EMPTY nest, but I will be singing 'Goooooo Eeeeeeers' all the way to work.
Have a Good Safe Day all
Time to make like a pea and split.
xoxo
New thread is up now. Y'all come on over.
