Naturenut - I think this war touches so many families and their friends & relatives. Hardly a person you talk to that doesn't have someone close or someone they know or even work with that is in this war.
And this is where our Faith and Prayers must sustain us. I saw a beautiful elderly lady today with a red shirt on...it reminded me that red is the color to wear on Fridays in honor of all the military...
HEY CEIL: I don't want to take to much credit for being a nice person...that lady neighbor of mine was buying ME the banana split...I was just the facilitator !
Now, to find something red to wear and head out to see the Moon Rise from the top of Park's Gap...and maybe the space station if I can find a dark enough spot that's safe for a single gal to be this time of night...
Love to all... Back Later.... (And I think Nature Nut hit #200)...)
OK! Banana Split was introduced to 3 yr old today after lunch. My hubby always eats a banana as part of his lunch - Alexis had eaten her soup & sandwich and asked for her ice cream. So Pappy put some of his banana into the ice cream with chocolate syrup and she was just thrilled! I think I need one of those! Yepper!
Margy, I think you're 200!!! Can't get TOO beautiful & go out at night!!! Saw moon in early AM--it was HUGE & pinkish! If I see it tonight, I'll howl! Tee Hee
Mema Jo, we are certainly praying for your loved ones over there. This mess just can't end too soon, bring all our children and loved ones home. I have hummingbirds out trying to kill each other. I am going to try to go out and see that big ole moon tonight. So many trees around our house, hard to see alot of sky. But in the wee hours, the moon shines through the French doors in my office, beautiful. (Only see it when I get up to go potty!)
Helen-that is breathtaking to see the moon rising like that over the water. Especially the moon beams dancing on the water. My kids would want to get to the beach in the very early am hr to see the sun rise. Now that they are older - they do it on their own.
O's are leading 5 to 4 in the 8th. Watch the one video Jim could not tell who was who. Everyone was fighting. Jo glad to see them peaceful tonight with dad.
I saw something real bright, but moving slow from SSW to E. Was prob a plane, DUH. Moon is neat-- a little peachy w/stringy clouds in front. A little hazy here. Well, goodnight Moon and everyone else...Pleasant Feather Dreams...
I am glad some of you saw it! History in the making! I am sure Magpie is howling at the moon! Hope no one grabs her! My tree coverage is great for shade but not for star/moon/space ship gazing!
Good Night Eagle Buddies! Peace to you & yours Pleasant dreams and restful sleep!
PAULA: I was still up on Parks Gap watching the moon and could not get to another site further South to see the space station tonight...but tomorrow, that's another story....thanks for the times for it...Gotta See It!
BEST MOON RISING AND WATCHING I HAVE EVER SEEN...
There was one other person there, a friendly soul and I shared my extra binoculars with him...several ornithological and astronomical things in common. A pleasant surprise, and I was much better protected with someone else there than being alone on the mountain top.
At times the Moon looked almost like a planet with the way some of the clouds were embedded on its surface....I can hardly describe it.
Glad to hear others saw it too.
Go for the middle of the night moon watch, SISSY! I'll be thinking about you when I get up for my potty breaks!
Okay - got West End Video, Thanks Jim! Hard to tell who is who once they start going towards each other sometimes. Saw it earlier, but not in slow motion..
Slow Motion does make it somewhat easier to follow, West End. So glad that juvie did not do any of this before now! Eaglets and parent put up quite a battle!
Good Night, All, It's been another learning day right here on this precious Blog.
I'm really still here, WANDA. That first good-night was for starters...I suspect you are already having "crabby dreams" (good crabby dreams...) but I am whispering in your ear....GOOD NIGHT TO YOU !! XOXO
GOOD MORNING T-BIRD AND JUSTIN.... Thelma, I have a question. Who is the mother of Justin and Mattie? I am so confused. I know that Andrew is Sharon's, but not sure of the other two.
Ca is all gnarly here too, Live Feed went down yesterday too. No one has seen any eaglats OUR NEST since Thursday morning...I think I am gonna head down to NCTC Sunday morning for a bit and see if I can see anything...
WANDA -THOUGHT ABOUT CRAB LEGS LAST NIGHT...ALL I HAD REGARDING CRAB WAS "CRAB CHIPS' WITH CHESAPEAKE BAY CRAB SEASONING..NOT QUITE THE SAME.
I'M GONNA FIND ME SOME NICE BACKFIN CRABMEAT AND MAKE A CASSEROLE SOON AS I CAN GET TO IT....LONG TIME AGO MOTHER USED TO MAKE IT THEN I LEARNED HOW. GOTTA PICK THROUGH THE MEAT FIRST TO FIND ANY BONY PIECES THAT DON'T BELONG...PRICES ARE KINDA HIGH THESE DAYS BUT I HAVE A GIFT CARD TO FOOD LION SO I'LL SPLURGE..
I'm "on Call" this week-end so have to be ready to cut and run, but if I don't get tagged for a shift and anyone wants to travel along with me Sunday morning to NCTC..I'll throw that out to ya'. I would have to take my own buggy and couldn't take passengers unless you want to risk going in to 9-1-1 with me if they call...
Did your read Megan's tale about her pup having Lyme's Disease? She posted late yesterday afternoon..Vet's knew for a year, tried a few times to notify them, but never followed up to confirm the info with them. Pup has been miserable and not medicated for it for a year. SHE WAS HOT, AND HEADED TO THE VET'S...Now that sounds like malpractice or negligence to me !! Waiting for an update from her on that... XOXOXOX TO YOU AND YOURS....!!
WANDA - hope you have not disappeared on us so soon! I trust you are just making your morning coffee with that noisy coffee pot....Mine's made..wanna come over for some here ?
Yes, Margy, I did read about Meggy's dog. Dustin's experience with Lymes was similar. The doctor sent him home about two weeks before we took him to the hospital, saying he was just a kid with a fever and rash. Nothing to worry about.
Having morning coffee with you would be a blast, Margy, but the Capt. is waiting on my presence in the living room for our morning chat. We plan our day over coffee in the morning. It seldom works out the way we plan, but, you have to start somewhere. lol BBL
Well, Now there are three of us again...Justin, you still here? WANDA - did you get your coffee ? How is the Captain and Little Captain, Butterfly and Denise, and Gee-Gee?
Glad you are with us this morning, Justin...You have us all to yourself!
No tomatoes yet...but I am eyeing up a few big green ones to fry. Don't know why they haven't ripened yet. We always have rip tomatoes by the 4th. Ok...coffee time.

Yes, it was another

Jo the O's are losing 4 to 3 in the 6th. Agree with you we need a juvie or an adult in our nest.
moon rises here at 8:49 p.m., going to get a good seat;)
geez, the O's are really in a slump:(

big ole MOONIE came right out of the ocean tonight....:) has to catch up with Jupiter
Boy Mits, I envy you! I would never leave Ocean City if I were you.
If you click on this link, scroll down to the 3rd comment, you will find a couple of clips of the action at WE yesterday, one in slowed motion.
I still have trouble keeping the three eaglets straight in my head though.
I think Dr. Sharpe is working on the feed right now, trying to improve the quality of the image so we can read the ID tags better ... hopefully.

Jim Paula reported that
Dr Sharpe thinks it might be K74 that visited the WE nest yesterday...last year's eaglet crop from that nest
Deer are in the PA woods.....
Are you still working Sissy?
I haven't read IWS forum but as I just put the cam up I would swear there are 3 juvies in the nest...
If you can - take a look....

Space Station at 9:48 to 9:50 in the SSW sky
how can you tell the difference between the space station and a star?
The space station moves!
About 45° above the horizon, if I am reading that correctly
O's won 7 to 4. Trying to see the space station.
Could not see the space station. Moon is beautiful. Going to call it a night. Prayers for our military men and woman. Pleasant dreams to our momsters.
Did ya see the space station
Go O's!!
well, by grannie's I think I saw it. It moved really fast, right?
I saw something real bright, but moving slow from SSW to E. Was prob a plane, DUH.
Moon is neat-- a little peachy w/stringy clouds in front. A little hazy here.
Well, goodnight Moon and everyone else...Pleasant Feather Dreams...
That was it Nature! It did look like a plane...but there were no blinking lights!
And it did move fast...
So I guess the direction is where it is coming from...lasted about 2 minutes...
Right! That was it, how cool. Sharon missed it. It was gone by the time I got the phone and called her.
Tomorrow night...10:12 to 10:14pm...starting at WSW...about 45° above the horizon again.
I am glad some of you saw it! History in the making! I am sure Magpie is howling at the moon! Hope no one grabs her! My tree coverage is great for shade but not for star/moon/space ship gazing!
Good Night Eagle Buddies!
Peace to you & yours
Pleasant dreams and restful sleep!
I didn't think I would be able to see it, am really surprised. How cool is that!! Good night all my wonderful eagle buddies.
I envy all these sightings, I have a nice view of a cloudy sky. If they were dropping rain, I wouldn't mind, but they are just in the way.
Night! Twins are winning!

That moon is pretty tonight!
Can't get the WE video open yet, but there are two girls on the nest right now. I assume they are both this year's...
Gnite, all!
Yes, Magpie, quiet at WE today. Dad even arrived and served dinner!

GOOD MORNING T-BIRD AND JUSTIN....
Thelma, I have a question. Who is the mother of Justin and Mattie? I am so confused. I know that Andrew is Sharon's, but not sure of the other two.
Our cam is showing nothing but psycholdelic colors this morning and Mei is just doing what she does best; lying there and not moving.
That should be: psychedelic
The psychedelic cam will make you PSYCHODELIC.
Don't disappear Wanda...I'm here, trying to get to ya..
Ca is all gnarly here too, Live Feed went down yesterday too. No one has seen any eaglats OUR NEST since Thursday morning...I think I am gonna head down to NCTC Sunday morning for a bit and see if I can see anything...

Yes, Margy, I did read about Meggy's dog. Dustin's experience with Lymes was similar. The doctor sent him home about two weeks before we took him to the hospital, saying he was just a kid with a fever and rash. Nothing to worry about.
Okay, Justin. You might know Megan, also known as floralgirl.
Hers is the pup that had this illness. Wanda's grandson, Dustin, just got diagnosed with Lyme's Disease too last week.
When T-bird wakes up, be sure to tell her I said Good Morning to her...
Meanwhile, I think you and I hvae the whole Blog to ourselves!
What are your plans for this day?
Having morning coffee with you would be a blast, Margy, but the Capt. is waiting on my presence in the living room for our morning chat. We plan our day over coffee in the morning. It seldom works out the way we plan, but, you have to start somewhere. lol
