These are times when we are glad that time moves fast. Wishing loved ones home safe.

Naturenut - I think this war touches so many families and their friends & relatives. Hardly a person you talk to that doesn't have someone close or someone they know or even work with that is in this war.

Mema Jo said...

I would like to see a Big Fat Juvie plop into our nest!!!!

Mema Jo said...

WOW! Hey Ceil we made it through the SPLIT!

What's the O's score?

magpie said...

And this is where our Faith and Prayers must sustain us. I saw a beautiful elderly lady today with a red shirt on...it reminded me that red is the color to wear on Fridays in honor of all the military...

Mema Jo said...

Yes, it was another
Red Friday!

paula eagleholic said...

Supposed to be able to see the space station tonight....southern sky...I think around 9:50...will check on it later....back out for more watering...

magpie said...

HEY CEIL: I don't want to take to much credit for being a nice person...that lady neighbor of mine was buying ME the banana split...I was just the facilitator !

Now, to find something red to wear and head out to see the Moon Rise from the top of Park's Gap...and maybe the space station if I can find a dark enough spot that's safe for a single gal to be this time of night...

Love to all...
Back Later....
(And I think Nature Nut hit #200)...)

Mema Jo said...

OK! Banana Split was introduced to 3 yr old today after lunch. My hubby always eats a banana as part of his lunch - Alexis had eaten her soup & sandwich and asked for her ice cream. So Pappy put some of his banana into the ice cream with chocolate syrup and she was just thrilled! I think I need one of those! Yepper!

Margy, I think you're 200!!!
Can't get TOO beautiful & go out at night!!!
Saw moon in early AM--it was HUGE & pinkish! If I see it tonight, I'll howl! Tee Hee

ceil said...

Jo the O's are losing 4 to 3 in the 6th. Agree with you we need a juvie or an adult in our nest.

MITS said...

moon rises here at 8:49 p.m., going to get a good seat;)

MITS said...

geez, the O's are really in a slump:(

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Mema Jo, we are certainly praying for your loved ones over there. This mess just can't end too soon, bring all our children and loved ones home. I have hummingbirds out trying to kill each other. I am going to try to go out and see that big ole moon tonight. So many trees around our house, hard to see alot of sky. But in the wee hours, the moon shines through the French doors in my office, beautiful. (Only see it when I get up to go potty!)

MITS said...

big ole MOONIE came right out of the ocean tonight....:) has to catch up with Jupiter

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Boy Mits, I envy you! I would never leave Ocean City if I were you.

If you click on this link, scroll down to the 3rd comment, you will find a couple of clips of the action at WE yesterday, one in slowed motion.

I still have trouble keeping the three eaglets straight in my head though.

I think Dr. Sharpe is working on the feed right now, trying to improve the quality of the image so we can read the ID tags better ... hopefully.

Mema Jo said...

Helen-that is breathtaking to see
the moon rising like that over the water. Especially the moon beams dancing on the water. My kids would want to get to the beach in the very early am hr to see the sun rise. Now that they are older - they do it on their own.

Mema Jo said...

Jim Paula reported that
Dr Sharpe thinks it might be K74 that visited the WE nest yesterday...last year's eaglet crop from that nest

Mema Jo said...

Deer are in the PA woods.....

Are you still working Sissy?

Mema Jo said...

I haven't read IWS forum but as I just put the cam up I would swear there are 3 juvies in the nest...

If you can - take a look....
I am going to read the forum

Mema Jo said...

OK My Bad!

It is 01 - Dad is with the girls at WE

He is eating & had his head down...

Mema Jo said...

I will take a break

O's are leading 5 to 4 in the 8th. Watch the one video Jim could not tell who was who. Everyone was fighting. Jo glad to see them peaceful tonight with dad.

Space Station at 9:48 to 9:50 in the SSW sky

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

how can you tell the difference between the space station and a star?

paula eagleholic said...

The space station moves!

paula eagleholic said...

About 45° above the horizon, if I am reading that correctly

ceil said...

O's won 7 to 4. Trying to see the space station.

ceil said...

Could not see the space station. Moon is beautiful. Going to call it a night. Prayers for our military men and woman. Pleasant dreams to our momsters.

paula eagleholic said...

Did ya see the space station

paula eagleholic said...

Go O's!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

well, by grannie's I think I saw it. It moved really fast, right?

NatureNut said...

I saw something real bright, but moving slow from SSW to E. Was prob a plane, DUH.
Moon is neat-- a little peachy w/stringy clouds in front. A little hazy here.
Well, goodnight Moon and everyone else...Pleasant Feather Dreams...

paula eagleholic said...

That was it Nature! It did look like a plane...but there were no blinking lights!

paula eagleholic said...

And it did move fast...

paula eagleholic said...

So I guess the direction is where it is coming from...lasted about 2 minutes...

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Right! That was it, how cool. Sharon missed it. It was gone by the time I got the phone and called her.

paula eagleholic said...

Tomorrow night...10:12 to 10:14pm...starting at WSW...about 45° above the horizon again.

Mema Jo said...

I am glad some of you saw it! History in the making! I am sure Magpie is howling at the moon! Hope no one grabs her! My tree coverage is great for shade but not for star/moon/space ship gazing!

Good Night Eagle Buddies!
Peace to you & yours
Pleasant dreams and restful sleep!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I didn't think I would be able to see it, am really surprised. How cool is that!! Good night all my wonderful eagle buddies.

deb said...

I envy all these sightings, I have a nice view of a cloudy sky. If they were dropping rain, I wouldn't mind, but they are just in the way.

Night! Twins are winning!

magpie said...

PAULA: I was still up on Parks Gap watching the moon and could not get to another site further South to see the space station tonight...but tomorrow, that's another story....thanks for the times for it...Gotta See It!

BEST MOON RISING AND WATCHING I HAVE EVER SEEN...

There was one other person there, a friendly soul and I shared my extra binoculars with him...several ornithological and astronomical things in common. A pleasant surprise, and I was much better protected with someone else there than being alone on the mountain top.

At times the Moon looked almost like a planet with the way some of the clouds were embedded on its surface....I can hardly describe it.

Glad to hear others saw it too.

Go for the middle of the night moon watch, SISSY! I'll be thinking about you when I get up for my potty breaks!

paula eagleholic said...

That moon is pretty tonight!

magpie said...

Can't get the WE video open yet, but there are two girls on the nest right now. I assume they are both this year's...

paula eagleholic said...

Gnite, all!

paula eagleholic said...

Yes, Magpie, quiet at WE today. Dad even arrived and served dinner!

MITS said...

GOOD NIGHT AND PRAYERS FOR EVERYONE Moon is just awesome!

magpie said...

Okay - got West End Video, Thanks Jim! Hard to tell who is who once they start going towards each other sometimes. Saw it earlier, but not in slow motion..

magpie said...

Slow Motion does make it somewhat easier to follow, West End. So glad that juvie did not do any of this before now! Eaglets and parent put up quite a battle!

Good Night, All, It's been another learning day right here on this precious Blog.

God Bless Us Every One.

Here I am, full of crab legs and ready to call it another day, and no one to say good night to, so I will say it anyway:

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING T-BIRD AND JUSTIN....
Thelma, I have a question. Who is the mother of Justin and Mattie? I am so confused. I know that Andrew is Sharon's, but not sure of the other two.

Costume Lady said...

Our cam is showing nothing but psycholdelic colors this morning and Mei is just doing what she does best; lying there and not moving.

Costume Lady said...

That should be: psychedelic

Costume Lady said...

The psychedelic cam will make you PSYCHODELIC.

magpie said...

Don't disappear Wanda...I'm here, trying to get to ya..

magpie said...

Ca is all gnarly here too, Live Feed went down yesterday too. No one has seen any eaglats OUR NEST since Thursday morning...I think I am gonna head down to NCTC Sunday morning for a bit and see if I can see anything...

magpie said...

Hi T-Bird/Justin: Justin, are you going to make Breakfast for Aunt Sharon this morning?????

xoxoxo this is Magpie, you have not met me yet..but I met Mattie !

xoxo

magpie said...

I bet those eagles are going to sneak into the nest during the rainbow when we can't see them, those IMPS !

Good Morning Everyone...

Megan, how is the "Pup?"

xo

magpie said...

WANDA - SENT YOU AN EMAIL...YAHOO.

Costume Lady said...

Good Morning, Margy...
I think T-Bird and Justin went back to bed.

magpie said...

I forgot, this is market day for Megan..she might already be gone??

magpie said...

Oh Yes, Justin...I also met BUDDY!

magpie said...

WANDA -THOUGHT ABOUT CRAB LEGS LAST NIGHT...ALL I HAD REGARDING CRAB WAS "CRAB CHIPS' WITH CHESAPEAKE BAY CRAB SEASONING..NOT QUITE THE SAME.

I'M GONNA FIND ME SOME NICE BACKFIN CRABMEAT AND MAKE A CASSEROLE SOON AS I CAN GET TO IT....LONG TIME AGO MOTHER USED TO MAKE IT THEN I LEARNED HOW. GOTTA PICK THROUGH THE MEAT FIRST TO FIND ANY BONY PIECES THAT DON'T BELONG...PRICES ARE KINDA HIGH THESE DAYS BUT I HAVE A GIFT CARD TO FOOD LION SO I'LL SPLURGE..

magpie said...

I'm "on Call" this week-end so have to be ready to cut and run, but if I don't get tagged for a shift and anyone wants to travel along with me Sunday morning to NCTC..I'll throw that out to ya'. I would have to take my own buggy and couldn't take passengers unless you want to risk going in to 9-1-1 with me if they call...

T-Bird said...

buddy is nice

magpie said...

BUDDY IS BOSS !!!!

Helle Dear Thelma...have missed you these last couple of day....

magpie said...

Did your read Megan's tale about her pup having Lyme's Disease? She posted late yesterday afternoon..Vet's knew for a year, tried a few times to notify them, but never followed up to confirm the info with them. Pup has been miserable and not medicated for it for a year. SHE WAS HOT, AND HEADED TO THE VET'S...Now that sounds like malpractice or negligence to me !! Waiting for an update from her on that...
XOXOXOX TO YOU AND YOURS....!!

Costume Lady said...

Yes, Justin, BUDDY is nice and is also a chow hound. LOL He loves hot dogs. I gave him about a pound of them for his lunch.

magpie said...

WANDA - hope you have not disappeared on us so soon! I trust you are just making your morning coffee with that noisy coffee pot....Mine's made..wanna come over for some here ?

magpie said...

Eagle Cam has cleared...watch for feathers beaks and talons!

T-Bird said...

she is a sleep i am a wake

magpie said...

Wait for it...Wait for it...Wait for it...

Boy, can you tell I got caffeine coursing through my veins???

Costume Lady said...

Yes, Margy, I did read about Meggy's dog. Dustin's experience with Lymes was similar. The doctor sent him home about two weeks before we took him to the hospital, saying he was just a kid with a fever and rash. Nothing to worry about.

magpie said...

Okay, Justin. You might know Megan, also known as floralgirl.

Hers is the pup that had this illness. Wanda's grandson, Dustin, just got diagnosed with Lyme's Disease too last week.

When T-bird wakes up, be sure to tell her I said Good Morning to her...

Meanwhile, I think you and I hvae the whole Blog to ourselves!

What are your plans for this day?

Costume Lady said...

Having morning coffee with you would be a blast, Margy, but the Capt. is waiting on my presence in the living room for our morning chat. We plan our day over coffee in the morning. It seldom works out the way we plan, but, you have to start somewhere. lol

magpie said...

Well, Now there are three of us again...Justin, you still here?
WANDA - did you get your coffee ?
How is the Captain and Little Captain, Butterfly and Denise, and Gee-Gee?

Glad you are with us this morning, Justin...You have us all to yourself!

magpie said...

Sounds wonderful, Wanda.
I bet there are some beans and tomatoes to harvest!

magpie said...

I'll quit pounding you with questions, WANDA, tell the Captain I am giving you up to HIM...
And give him a hug and peck on the cheek for me, please !

Same for Dustin if he is still bunking there with ya'...

xo xo

Costume Lady said...

No tomatoes yet...but I am eyeing up a few big green ones to fry. Don't know why they haven't ripened yet. We always have rip tomatoes by the 4th.
Ok...coffee time.
