Thanks for the new thread, Steven. Did you see our eagles this morning? Still waiting for an appearance in the nest. Thanks for the heads up, Wanda. Eagles in BW are sharing the same fish, how cool is that!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_Mountain....Check this out; it is where the first rays of the sun hits the U.S. in the morning. So, that is why the Maine eagle cam can be seen long before we can see ours.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!---HELLO--SUZANNE--WANDA---CANDY & MEGAN!!----It's a cloudy foggy morning here in WV---temp. 43°--expected to rise!---SUZ is trying to FOOL the ROYAL FAMILY by making them believe she is not watching for them--ho!--Think HELEN tries that every now & then!!---MEGAN--I am so happy you are working inside---(i worry about you)---REMEMBER LIFE IS GOOD!---ENJOY!
Hello Norma, heading out to gather some greens and get back to work. one more week of this madness for me, then I'll have to do some serious shopping! Have a great day, sure do miss the sunshine..
MORNIN' DANA & DEB!!---BW has an EAGLE in their new nest & one on the OSPREY stand too!!----Where are BELLE & LIBERTY??----Bet they are admiring BW'S new nest!!!
No ice here, I just looked at the radar before the eagle sighting and there is stuff just south of me. Now that the excitement is over, I will have to go see where it is going.
The 'LITTLE PRINCE' was sleeping on his grate!!---Woke up rambled over to his BAMBOO stash!!---Now attempting to eat while lying on his back!!---What a "SHOW OFF"!!
You know, we have become so spoiled with these cams that I had to laugh at myself. Our cam refreshes every 30 sec. and that is too long after watching the live feeds; then when you watch the ones that refresh every 60 sec., it seems like an eternity!
I see while I was into my emails. There was a visitor to the BW eagle nest. We are going to have to define them maybe as BWO and BWE lol so our fingers don't have to type so much.
Well I did check and BWE did lay their eggs near end of January.
Our nest still needs housekeeping to straighten it up hee hee
Deb I just looked at your pics for Dec 10th. Let me tell you my face was up against the screen. Waiting to see if that eagle each snap shot was going to get a fish lol Those pics are awesome gal. You need to find a contest to enter. Thank you for sharing.
This is great Deb on one end and Glo on the other end of the country. Snapping pics of eagles just for us to see coming in to feed. Now just how good can it get !! ( :
Good Morning all. I have missed you the last 4 days but my I have had quite the awesome experience in my life. Anyway all is gone now and I am back to normal .Except for this ice storm I am now dealing with so no work for me tonight. I will be working to post some pictures of what happened in a surprise way in my life this weekend but for now I will just say nice to get on here and wish you all a Happy Day with lots of wonderful eagle viewing.
Thanks, Dana. It was exciting. There were about 10 eagles in sight and 4 fishing. I couldn't decide where to look, so finally concentrated on one. I was on the wrong side of the river, so next time I will know which side to go to, so I can get better close-ups. I am no good at getting more than one eagle to a picture.
SUZANNE---Have you clicked on DEB'S name?----Such beautiful pictures---W/blow your mind!!---Yesterday's is AWESOME---So many EAGLES!!---Great photography too!!
Thanks, Dana, didn't realize Maine went down this morning. And of course can't get Tesoro, wouldn't load at all. Finally closed it. Norma, I've tried to look at Deb's pics, and from what you all are saying, I'm missing quite a few great pics! But I don't have flash on this (CENSORED)PC, so can't view them. Darn, and darn, and other things....
Mei and Tian are getting ready to rumble! Tian keeps giving her a wide path, but she's watching him. Oh, maybe she cnaged her mind, he walked away and she's not following. Tai is back to eating bamboo. Uh oh, here they both are again... will they or won't they?
Tai is pacing, and the moose that likes to lay down and eat out of the bowls is there. Forget what Jo said they call him, lazy eater or something. Looks like he's gonna take a nap and use the bowl as a pillow!
GOOD TUESDAY MORNING EVERYONE Just remember your maps and see how far out Maine juts into the Atlantic. When I'm at the ocean the sunrise is about 10 mins sooner than when I am in DC.....Lynda White at Tesoro says they are still working on a few glitches with their cam.
Good Morning - Blogger cop has been eating my comments - but I am in here reading all your remarks & surfing all the cams. Headed over to emails in a minute.
Keep that holiday spirit in your hearts...........
Good morning to all,/this is my first time posting here and this site looks great.I am an Eagle watcher here in vigo county indiana and have a nest south of where i live. The nest was built at the end of 2006 and raised one eaglet this year.I video taped them and took lots of photos,You can view them on my blog site. Indiana Nesting Eagles. Tuesday,December 11 2007 10:35 AM
Thanks for the welcome.Suzanne yes that is the young they raised this year. The adults have been working on the nest adding more sticks getting ready for next spring.
Oh that's exciting! So your eagles stay for the winter too? Our NCTC eagles stay year around, fish out of the Potomac, and it doesn't freeze. And our Blackwater (BW) eagles also stay. Their cam came on yesterday, and both eagles are in the nest as we speak. Ours usually stop in in the early morning, but think they slept in this morning, then just hit the Potomac Diner and forgot to come home!
Bob, Jo can give that to you. It's a bird something, has links to gazillions of cams! (To include ours and BW.) Beakspeak or something, can't remember.
Bai is in her garden den eating. Don't see Squiggles. Haven't seen much of her today, darn. NZ pandas are panda napping. Moose cam not updating. Very foggy at Kent, but hole still in nest. Time for me to hit the road. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!

Bob Both the Eaglet Momster Blog linked from this NCTC site and my For the love of Eagles BLOG have very up to date links to eagle cams around the web. My Blog however is only eagles on the left side and the link is here

Hi, eagle lovers. Seems like I don't get much time lately to get on here. Not even enough time to read past blog entries. It's great to see new bloggers on here! Welcome to all of you who make comments and to those who just read. (Many of us were lurkers for a long time before signing on.) I met a woman at my brother's house at Thanksgiving who is crazy about bald eagles and other raptors. She was unaware of all the various webcams, so I sent her some links, including this one. If you are reading this, Paige, welcome to you too! This warm weather is strange for December. I hope those ice storms don't make it this far East. They are the worst! Gotta get back to work. Bye for now.
Wow - it was good to see Belle - even if for only a few minutes. Also - good to know that the BW eagle cam is back on. Do the BW eagles have names? I can't remember - old age creeping in, I guess!
Yeah, Dana - it's nice to have some free minutes to drop in. We're experiencing some staff turn-over at work, which is resulting in extra work for me and my co-worker, so I don't have much free time to blog or surf. As a result, my job duties will be increased, so I may not have much free time in the future either. I'll be so glad when the holidays are over. I'm not a Christmas person. After New Year's Day, I always say to myself "Ahhh, now I have the rest of the winter to myself". I'm really looking forward to watching all the eagle activity starting in January!
Hmmm, has anyone been watching Tesoro? Eagle looks like it is in egg laying position. Well, maybe not....just settling on egg - standing over first..turning....
Megan I followed your link to Cadillac Mountain. It is a rather beautiful yet rugged place. Acadia National Park has some very astounding scenery. I would love to go back to Bar Harbor again.

Megan, do you make your wreaths inside or outdoors?
Suz, weather report for here calls for a light Wintery Mix and a high of 32° on Saturday; so keep an Eye to the Sky.
Going for coffee. BBL
Oh darn, thanks Wanda! Hope it hold off till the afternoon! If it doesn't, no haircut and no wreath for me. Don't drive in that junk!
Make them inside in my basement, Wanda. Off to the bus stop.
Well, maybe if I leave.
So....gonna go downstairs, BBIALW.

Very foggy dawn in Kent. Cool pic on cam 1.

Welcome Dave The picture of the juvie is breathtaking!
2 deer and 1 moose, still laying down guarding that feed bowl!
Wow, make that 4 deer and 1 moose!
Question.
A teacher left this comment on my latest gallery:
"My students and I at Lynbrook ES in Faifax Co, Va, love the pictures. They are budding eagle watchers!"
Is there a link I can send her that has links to most of the various eagle cams?
Eagle back, and look at Tai laying flat on his back eating bamboo. He's adorable. Well, eagle gone before I even posted this.
Bob, Jo can give that to you. It's a bird something, has links to gazillions of cams! (To include ours and BW.) Beakspeak or something, can't remember.
Man, sometimes I do remember things. Here ya go:

They will have a blast!

BUT OFF AGAIN...
GOOD MORNING, ALL...
THANKS, SUZANNE. HAVE A GOOD DAY.
JIM
Bai is in her garden den eating. Don't see Squiggles. Haven't seen much of her today, darn. NZ pandas are panda napping. Moose cam not updating. Very foggy at Kent, but hole still in nest.
Time for me to hit the road. All have a great eagle/panda day.
Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Morning, Jim. See ya later, Jim! Glad you are getting in your sleeping groove!
Welcome Dave! I enjoyed your photos. I wish I knew where eagles stayed year round here in SD.
well actually I am not sure how far apart Deb and I actaully are from each other. A couple of states away isn't too bad but can certainly be a challenge in the winter time,

George is in the Kent nest!
Darn, he is gone. I should have taken the picture, then came to tell everyone. He was too fast.
EAGLE ALERT, OUR NEST!
wow, nelly look at that look it is giving us

Did our eagle fly in with anything

I am thinking she is eating.
Hi Jo
As a matter of fact, one brought in a fish. I have the pic!
Yep you can see alittle piece of it.
Hi Dana, Mits, Sharon, Deb & all others

Maybe her late lunch is still alive..............
No Jo it is redish color.
Sharon did you put the pic in the album??
Great Sharon - a fly in with a fish!
And now a POOF!
Sharon what time was the fly in with fish?
Love the photos of both eagles Lisa put up on BWE........ There are 2 eagles at the BWO platform now....
Dana, check your email!
Jo the closest one to cam at BWO has a fish.
Thanks Sharon.
Sprig of pine in BWE nest - by Lady Blackwater I presume!
Someone caught Spirit in the Kent nest yesterday. Hope he figures out how to 'plug the hole'...
must have been hungry...
Good shot Sharon ( :
The male is sitting on the far back side of the platform while the female is eating
He might just plug the hole with George! :)
yeah, George better watch his P'S AND Q'S
They'll be stuffing soft squirrel fur down in the hole to fill it up....
is that LONESOME LOUIE, at BWO????
Did you all know that the names of the eagles at Cape Coral is George II and Gracie?
I don't know Mits - I am almost tempted to say it is the Lady & Lord!
George & Gracie --- Oh my that brings back memories........ Ho Ho !
Good picture on MooseWatch Cam...They really love lying in that snow - the deeper the better!
I have yet to catch those wild turkeys....
I think our hummingbird viewing has ended....
ButaButa is in the hammock den room..she is really getting large..
Otter Sisters are out at the NZoo
Fishing cat is actually lying down and not roaming.......

Wow - it was good to see Belle - even if for only a few minutes. Also - good to know that the BW eagle cam is back on. Do the BW eagles have names? I can't remember - old age creeping in, I guess!
I was checking my papers Carol. I could be wrong but I think they are called: Lord & Lady Blackwater.
By the way nice seeing you gal ( :
Yeah, Dana - it's nice to have some free minutes to drop in. We're experiencing some staff turn-over at work, which is resulting in extra work for me and my co-worker, so I don't have much free time to blog or surf. As a result, my job duties will be increased, so I may not have much free time in the future either. I'll be so glad when the holidays are over. I'm not a Christmas person. 2 eagles at BWO
Eagle at BWO
Been working on broken computer....GRRRR
Make that 2 at BWO -maybe I couldn't see the other one.
Dana - George II and Gracie are at Cape Coral Cam 1 - which they are hoping to get up in December. CC 2 is what we can currently see.
Welcome Dave
How lucky you are to have a nest so close. Wonderful pics!
Eagle up at Tesoro
Hmmm, has anyone been watching Tesoro? Eagle looks like it is in egg laying position. Well, maybe not....just settling on egg - standing over first..turning....
Now settled in at Tesoro
And as soon as I said that, eagle is back up again.
pretty much evertime I can get on, I see her sitting low in the nest.
now up and fluffing, or is that the male that just came in?
And off eagle went at TES
No, That was eagle fluffing, then left. Don't know which one came back! I can't tell them apart.
Beak way open
my tesoro, keeps going off and on
Yes, it does. Looks pretty in the late afternoon sun
CC, Tesoro dark now...
3 eagles at the West End cam at Catalina.
Two left.
Now the last one left. I took a picture will see if it turned out, that camera doesn't have the best picture.
racoons at PA
The moose are bedded down for the night..
I never realized racoons were that big, unless the cam adds 10 lbs to them, like TV does
Good evening everyone
Megan I followed your link to Cadillac Mountain. It is a rather beautiful yet rugged place. Acadia National Park has some very astounding scenery. I would love to go back to Bar Harbor again.
HI ROBYN, It's been a while. I thought you might have moved to South Carolina! LOL
We were up in that part of Maine and I didn't even think about Cadillac Mountain at the time. It would have been a good place to spend some time.
I guess I will disappear along with everyone else. Must be a good night for TV...(only NCIS for me).
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SLEEP TIGHT
NOOOOO not moving anywhere...yet, but Tori and I will be in SC for the holidays sharing it with his family. Some day we will want to close the gap.
I'm glad you have someone in your life that you care about. So important.
