Some winds kicking around outside as if it is a constant wind, whoops it is! I always wondered how birds didn't get blown away in winds such as the ones we are having here today, as a matter of fact not sure I saw any yet today lol.

See Bai has taken our ZZ Precious for a walk, den MT. Oh, just saw a shadow, oh Squiggles just walked by the door. Shadow must have been Bai and Squigs is following her. Looks like Bai is walking back and forth in front of the door.

Well Bai came in, walked around the den, walked out and grabbed some bamboo and drug it in backwards. And turned around and took it right back out! Precious was not to be seen in that turnaround. Uh oh, think Bai is coming back again....yup backwards. Oh, Squiggles and some bamboo in her mouth this time. Squiggles down, bai gonna get more bamboo. Guess it's time to throw the bamboo, OH, Squiggles just walked out of the den! She's not having any part of this since Bai threw her in the air that time with the bamboo! Too funny!!!

It is nice here today, right now it is 21, and is supposed to get up in the 40's. No wind. Unfortunately freezing rain is forecast for later today.

Hi Deb Good to see you on here this am. I enjoy all of your photos too. On my way to see the eagles I had a Beautiful buck just kind of slowly walk across the street right in front of me. Mind you I live in a city. It was in the suburbs but still kind of strange. he was beautiful and I did have my camera BUT it wasn't out of the case and turned on. I only have the picture that got away in my mind;s eye. It was a beautiful start to what did turn into a beautiful trip though.

I see our eagles have not arrived as of yet. Well it is pretty windy and up there it would be even more wind.

It was warm here yesterday (45) otherwise it has been a cold winter. If the wind were blowing today , it would feel colder. The rivers and lakes are way ahead of last year in freezing over, so we are getting used to the cold already. After today our forecast highs aren't supposed to be out of the 20's for the next week. Yuck!!
Did anyone see the man in the den with ZZ Bear? He was cleaning out the old bamboo and took the time to hold and play with zz. She didn't seem to be afraid of him. COOL.

Good Morning , Its raining. My yard loves it but I hate driving in it. Good sleeping weather. Now our rains start. This is our winter. It will be like this until the end of Feb. Foggy and wet. Well I just dropped in to say Hi and good by and I'm off to work. Keep your eyes out for my friend SharonAnne. I do hope she will join us. No eagles anywhere, moose and deer on the moose cam. I lost the deer cam in PA, I think they are working on it, as it was a different location than before. Time to get stuff done!

Hi everybody! Finally got moved and reconnected!! All in the same day. But network folks weren't involved, we did it, so everybody is alright. Hate moving, gotta clean everything first, then find new places for your stuff, ugh.
Looks like going home is gonna be a bit of a bear if the PA cam is accurate! Not looking forward to that. Can only hope they are a LOT farther north than I thought they were.
Ok, time for me to hit the road. Hopefullly blog tomorrow, depending on how much snow we get. If it's too much, not gonna be in, so don't worry.

Bai Yun must be doing laps around her enclosure because every once in a while you see her coming through the anteroom and checking in the den. Then she heads back outside for a while. Probably trying to get her figure back.
The hummers are still promising, but no actual fledging yet. The lateness of the season and the lower temperatures might slow their development somewhat.

Suzanne and a local radio station have heard about Santa Ana winds and a fire hazard forecast. But every time I look at the Weather site, there is no mention of it.
"light and variable" for the next couple of days and then rain for Friday and Saturday.
??????? Wonder why.

Just viewed the L.A. forecast video, and it mentions high surf from a Pacific storm, but nothing about the Santa Ana thing.

Listening to a Perry Como Christmas CD right now.
I haven't had much Christmas music for years, so I bought a few CD's this year from Amazon.com. And they were delivered yesterday.
Some Bing Crosby, some Sinatra, some Rosemary Clooney, some Nat King Cole... I think every good singer we ever had has made Christmas albums.
