Our little precious Squiggles was alone, but now mom just came back in. Oh, she's picking Suqiggles up and facing the cam, for once! Now...if she will only put her head up a little...
SUZANNE Sorry to hear that you are still fighting your cold. That is really hanging on. I hope JO is doing better with hers.
It was 47 here when I came to school today with my winter jacket on for sure. Have to spend 30 or sominutes on the playground each day, and want to be warm.
WANDA I take it your eagle is dressed up in something from your shop for Halloween, but I can't seem to place it. Didn't know you made costumes for birds too. ;) Glad to see you already have your cup of coffee. If I was smart, I would have just brought one along to keep my hands warm. I haven't gotten my gloves and scarves out yet. Brrrrrr
SUCANNE I am sorry to hear that you still aren't feeling up to par. That has really got to be miserable on you.
I finally got my flu shot here at school, so am safe from that this year. Generally I am also sick when the time comes to get one, and they won't give it to me.
Working in a school I can use everything I can get.
In advance, thanks SUZANNE for the pics of the bird visits. Last night I was too tired to get on line, but will have to make sure I get on tonight to catch up on all the goings on. I miss all the gabbing and site watching.
You're welcome, Candy. Hope you can view them. Know what you mean about being tired, think I went to bed before 5:30 last night! Between the cold and just being tired, couldn't keep my eyes open. Have a great day, Candy. Have a great day, everyone.
I just love the gentleness of deer and their beauty. Where I used to live up North, we used to see them alot, along with wild turkey, grouse. racoon and my favorite, the chipmunk. He used to get down in my bird feeders and have a feast. I used to go up and rap on the glass and scare the beegeebies out of him. He would zip out of there in no time. :)
CANDY..You have no idea how hard it was to get the eagle dressed in costume. He didn't want any parts of it, so, I stuck his beak into an electrical socket and it made his feathers stick straight up, but calmed him down; was able to finish dressing him just befor the shock wore off.
Well time is flying and I have to set up the room yet. SUZANNE, you have a safe trip home today. Hope you are feeling better soon. Hugs to Gypsy and your other kitties. I hope her hair is getting long enough to keep her warm for the winter months. :)
WANDA Don't drink too much coffee or you will really be wired. Share some with Capt. Eagle and you two have a nice day.
DANA A wonderful day is wished for you too. The leaf colors should be beautiful up there by now.
BUTTERFLY LADY, Good to see you on watching Liberty and Bell. It gives a little more activity to the blog, and I know your mother enjoys talking to you too.
JO, JILL, PAULA, NORMA, SHARON, JIM, Bobbi, Anne-Marie, Megan, Bird Girl, AND ALL YOU OTHER DAILY llurkers andBLOGGERS.....All have a super day!
Oh Wanda, that's too funny! Poor thing! But it sure worked, he's really decked out! Candy, I have chipmunks too, they eat the bird seed. They're so funny to watch, they're like a little vacuum taking up those seeds, and you can watch their cheeks get fatter and fatter. Then off they go to drop the food in their burrow, and back they come.
Hi Megan! wow, 13 deer! That's kinda awesome when you think about it. I'd like to see a couple in my yard. Well, sorta. But I'm not growing flowers and such that I'm sure they love to munch! Come to think of it, probably wouldn't like to see deer in my yard. Saw tracks in the snow a couple years ago heading over to the bird feeders, so I know they're there, but I don't usually see them. It's just nice to watch them on a cam!
Yep, they're beautiful, Suzanne, and I feel sorry that they've lost so much of their habitat, but there are too many where I live. LAst month we spotted a herd of 38. They eat our birdseed too. Right now they are coming into the yard to eat acorns.
Megan put a "brown mineral salt lick" they are not expensive NOT WHITE. The squirrels, deer, turkey, birds and etc. everything likes it. Had one under our acorn tree. I loved the does bringing in the babies. When Mulberry brush was ready does would pull branches down for the bigger babies. I loved watching all the wildlife at that lick.
Dana, I was trying to check out the moose cam, and there were other wildlife cams listed, so I checked a few out. Jo has a tiny URL for the moose cam on here from yesterday someplace. Anyway, one of the other wildlife cams was this one in PA, so I checked it out and found out it was live. Had to put it in my favorites too, not sure I could find it again. Never did get to see the moose cam, just a lot of pics, which were too cool!
Oh, Dana, no salt lick allowed here. Have to do what I can to not encourage any deer coming into the yard. I've seen them eat a whole crop of my flowers overnight. We do have lots of turkey, and more birds than I can count. Unfortunately the deer and I are enemies, they cost me too much money. Had to put electric fence around gardens this year in an attempt to kep them from eating flowers.
Megan for you that is true. Does the electric fence work good for you in having that problem?? Yes can't let the deer eat my 2 plants lol I get from you (laughing at my 2). Boy I keep you in business sorry it's not more.
HA, believe me, I appreciate every sale, no matter how big or small. Without my loyal customers, I am out of business. And, I love to introduce people to the plants I love, many of which cannot be found in the average plant center. Electric fence is effective, but has to be constsntly baited with peanut better so the deer will lick it and get a shock(sorry) that teaches them to stay away. Otherwise they will just jump it. For me it's just a financial decision, if I let them, they would eat every plant in my garden. I have spent so much time and money trying to keep them out of my crops.
Milkweed doesn't stink, it does get quite large though. So many flowers attract butterflies, zinnias, asters, tithonia, etc. Milkweed, parsley, fennel, they are grown as food for the caterpillars to eat, butterflies also love the flowers of milkweed.
Hello Mits:) Thank you again for steering us to the hand center, we had such a great surgeon, and it is a wonderful place for healing. daughter says to tell you "thank you sooo much!" Yesterday was our last visit, xray shows so much new bone growth, Dr. was thrilled with progress and cut her loose. It will still take 3-4 months to build strength back up, but we are all amazed by how much it has healed already, he says it because she is so young, ah youth... Dana, you can ask me anytime, I have a list somewhere that tells you what to plant to attract butterflies and hummers. I will find it for you after XMas.
I just did this morning's visit as a slide show. Makes for easier viewing, but I already sent out the pics. Thankfully, I do NOT have to create slide shows here at work, so just thought I'd try it. Kinda cool, actually.
Megan, I'm so glad to hear your daughter's hand has healed so well! Good for her! Yeah, youth. They can bounce back quickly, lucky kids. But good to hear she's healed so well.
Meagan, that was a collaboration with my sister and me, wish you could have seen the e-mails between us that day, but, people come from all over the country to go to their hand place, and so glad you took her there, they do marvelous things.....nothing greater than a happy surgeon:).
Good morning everyone. Sure is a bright frosty morning in N. Alabama. Good thing too because I have a "Honey Do" list of three pages. So there won't be much eagle watching for me today. I'll check back later.
Stopping in to wish everyone a great morning and day. Hope we see some eagles. This mornings pictures from Suzanne look great. I kind of wish Lib and Belle had set their clocks back though. :) Errands to run and lots to do so am about out of here for a while.
Then thank Ceil for me too. Jo also mentioned the place shortly after you did. We are so lucky, it was so mangled when we went there, and even the surgeon wasn't sure it would be a guaranteed fix, but he took his time and we allowed him to use some medical equipment that was new and the latest in surgical pins. They will dissolve as the new bone grows, and only 3 in her fingers are permanenmt. Grateful to find such a caring and gifted surgeon.
New thread! Good morning, Red and good morning, Glo. Both have a great day. Red, hope the stitches removal yesterday went smoothly for you. Just think, all gone.... All finished. See ya'll at the new thread.

GOOD WEDNESDAY MORNING SUZANNE, WANDA, DANA AND BUTTERFLY LADY. I hurried into school today to get a look at our eagles. TOO LATE!!
GOOD MORNING CANDY...
What kind of temps are you having down there now?
Oh, found a new cam, it's in the woods in western PA. There is a female white tail eating there! How cool is that!
OH, make that 2!!! Now this is just too cool!
SUZANNE Sorry to hear that you are still fighting your cold. That is really hanging on. I hope JO is doing better with hers.

Oh, Candy, hope you stay warm! Don't want you getting sick too. I'm taking so many meds now, it's gotta go away soon!
Awwwww. Both deer gone, cam just showing woods. But that was just too cool for words!
Ok, will work on pics of this morning's visit.
SUZANNE Are you looking at a deer or an eagle?
Ok, here comes the other deer back.
It sure looks like the Shepherdstown nest is getting ready for a new nesting. Those two eagles have been doing alot of work.
I found a deer cam in the woods in western PA. I'm looking at a cam that now has 2 deer on it. Guess the wildlife varies, but now it's deer.

MOrning all- I just chased 13 deer out of my yard. I should set up a deer cam, but all you would see is them running from me..lol

Megan good morning. Oh you can put the deer cam up at your house and we'll certainly watch it. They will come back when your not there.
Have a Good day!!!
Wow, Megan, 38! Man, they will wipe you out in no time!
Suzanne ty I have it up. Another I'll put in my favorities. How did you find it?
Megan put a "brown mineral salt lick" they are not expensive NOT WHITE. The squirrels, deer, turkey, birds and etc. everything likes it. Had one under our acorn tree. Neighbor had electric fence for their Germany Shepherd. It didn't hurt him and he learn't too.
Does milk weed (to attact butterfly's) stink? What other plant would also attact them?
Milkweed doesn't stink, it does get quite large though. So many flowers attract butterflies, zinnias, asters, tithonia, etc. Milkweed, parsley, fennel, they are grown as food for the caterpillars to eat, butterflies also love the flowers of milkweed.
GOOD WEDNESDAY A.M. EVERYONE Megan, how about a Megan cam for your back yard during the summer:):)?
Thank you wrote those down so won't have to ask you again ( :
Good Morning Mits...
animalcameras.com, is a good place for all types of cams, including the one Suzanne is watching with the wildlife in PA.
