Don't know if those local to Martinsburg have read the news yet but we lost a State Trooper last night. Please pray for his family and colleagues. It is a devastating blow to the law enforcement community. He was responded to a call for help by other troppers and lost control of his vehicle.

Don't which bird makes the sound you're talking about, but that is and egret preening in the tree at the Pond, Mema Jo.
By the way I was looking up another egret in Wikipedia the other day, and I was surprised to learn that egrets are herons, which have acquired the other name somewhere...look up "heron" if you are interested.

Yes, Jim, know that is their LOGO, but when I started watching this about 2 years ago, the LOGO was only there when it was not live, so guess they have changed, hard to get any info from them, and don't have time to go to their blogs, which are really interesting:).

So sorry to hear about the death of the state trooper. They put their lives at risk every day. I have the utmost respect for anyone who does that on a daily basis, whether it is military, fire, police, etc.

Thanks for the prayers everybody. He was a young guy with a wife and two small children. Not sure what part of the state he was originally from but know it isn't here so somewhere in WV there is a town morning the loss of a friend and family member. And all because somebody didn't want to stop for a police car. Trying to find out if they caught the person they were chasing.

The West Virginia State Trooper was from Jefferson County West Virginia. Happened in Kearneysville chasing a foot pursuit from a convenience store there. So Sad

Well, I have to agree with Anne-Marie on the Panda cub names...I don't particularly like what they selected as the final four.
I voted on the basis of the English meaning, but now that I think of it, we don't think of that when we use the name...we think more of the sound of the words.

WINDS 25 to 35 mph coming out of the North with gusts to 70 mph up in Maine. Surprising that winds are not coming out of the NE, with this storm, read where Nova Scotia is expecting 110 mph winds tonight. Have not been able to get Peggy's Cove cam up this afternoon
They did get the person they were chasing. News keeps saying it was a man, it wasn't unless there was a man with her. It was a female. Not sure what happened but I know she had to go to the hospital last night. We had warrants on her and had to wait to see if we needed to arraign her but when they took her to the hospital we left. Now it shows her as having warrants from Berkeley, Jefferson and Martinsburg so I guess she is in a boat load of trouble.
Nillas son got married last evening. She has Jasmin all weekend. Sure she is showing her off somewhere. LOL Or buying her a new wardrobe.

Yes Mits the news seems to mess up a lot. There is a question now whether the officer had 2 children or 3. Everybody I talked to said they just had a baby recently. I dont' know if they are thinking of the 2 y/o or in the midst of all the mayhem, the info officer just didnt' remember the new born. We will know more on Monday.

State paper I read earlier when googled said trooper had 2 young daughters. So we will have to wait and see like Jill said till Monday.

Jo, if you Google peanut soup, you can have it anyway you want it:). I used to collect recipe books, but it is so much easier to go to goggle or ask.com for recipes, that I am now getting rid of a lot of my books, part of my de-cluttering, but still keep the books that are meaningful to me
well, that particular book is probably on the cookbook bookshelf down the basement......haven't gotten to the basement de-cluttering yet. Might have to wait til hubby's retirement so he can help. There is a high school in the area that has a gigantic book sale one-a-year, and you can drop off books all year to them.

Dolly is spending a lot more time on the wall, and it looks like almost all of the fuzz is gone. If you go by last years eyasses, she should be very near fledging.

Jo the peanut soup was creamy with chopped nuts in it but I guess you could have it anyway you wanted it. Its rich and a small bowl before dinner is enough for me. Boy its good.
Ive been looking at our Ausi babe and Jim's right. Most of her baby fuzz is gone.

This is so true, Anne. 8 out of 10 costumes I sell are for adults.
I wore my necklace and got bombarded with requests about where I got it. the lady who was on the train wanted to buy it. Another lady in the shop wanted to sell them. You could make some money if your interested.

Howdy Folks... Thought i check in now that i have Jasmin tucked in bed sleeping like an angel with baby monitor on in case she wakes up i hear her... Well the wedding went fine,, of course Jasmin stole the show..lol at least in her pappy and my eyes.. thats until she spit up on him and he handed her back to me..lol The newly weds are still tucked away on a short honeymoon and will be coming to get Jasmin in the morning to go to Pa to see her pappy.. as i am working... Then i will have her in the evening so Jenny can pick her up when she gets off work... I will put pictures of wedding on my web page on my space and make a short album on Momsters... Remember to fall back tonight... Sad about the trooper Jill.. prayer for his family and loved ones... Now what was going on down on Rt 9.. 2 nights ago at the light before the jail??(by Roc's) Daughter was heading home and they had atleast 6 sheriff cars blocking the road so you could not go thru the light towards the jail... We thought maybe someone broke out or the count wasnt right? Yes Jill i did shop for Jassy to bought her a beautiful lavandar snow suit... It makes it hard when she is at several places and her things get sent here and there.. Nilla, I dont know what was going on on Rt 9. Nobody broke out of jail that I know about. OH wait a minute. There was a bad wreck at 84 lumber one night late in the week maybe that was it.

Yes, Norma, it was fantastic, hubby and I were 15 years old when they won the last time...ND coach said he didn't care that the streak had ended...liar, liar, pants on fire!!!! Going to send a note to Pres of ND.....try to teach your players how to sing your Alma Mater, guess they are not used to doing that like the service academies are. I love to see any of the service academies win against teams like ND or Michigan, etc., because they have a whole lot more on their minds then, where the next keg party is...jmho.
PEANUT SOUP!----There is a little theater near MIDDLETOWN, VA---not far from Winchester----called WAYSIDE INN THEATER----There is also a WAYSIDE INN--(of course) ho!---We used to eat there after the play---SERVED PEANUT SOUP---I liked it---but ANNE is right--small cup will be good before dinner!!!!----Haven't been there for a while----PLAYS are GREAT too!!!! ----

Morning Paula, I cant get going this morning. There are a family of squirrels in the grapes this morning. Two teen babes. The are so cute. They are more interested in playing than eating. Wish I could get some pictures but they are too afraid of me.
Just turned on Redskin game and dontcha know it Jets was running in for a touchdown!!!!They only been playing 5 minutes... Norma last night i was at Ryans and 2 bus loads of football players pulled up they all were wearing sweat shirt n jackets with WVU football on them... MANNN they cleared the food out big time..lolll
It's like 88 deg at 8 pm at Pete's and all the elephants in So Africa seem thirsty tonight. Another large family just arrived.

BTW, NORMA, I get you drift and know exactly what you are talking about, and for that reason I am against them, used to have many priest say, and "don't forget to pray for a ND victory", and I thought that was a huge waste of valuable prayer.

Wow this is great. My first sighting this fall. I come 5000 miles and they dont even show up.
She maybe setting off calling to him or she doesnt look like she is in any hurry to come in the nest... I have not seen him call to her any.. Wish we had that sound!!!!
