We got the live feed up, and someone is in the nest right now as I write! The still cam is locked up in Denver, and we have made a call on that. Hang in there folks!

4:55PM That sprawled out position is just too cool. They used to do that & get everyone concerned as to them being ok. It is just a pure relaxed resting position. Must have been a very very busy day....

I forgot all about that. Whenever I would miss on the changing screen, I never even thought about using FRAPS! DUH!

Me too, Jo. Then they wouldn't have to fight! Of all the things the parents have figured out, you would think this would be one of them!
It might seem mean that the eaglets do this but out in the world on their own they are sometimes going to have to steal food from others..
They also need to learn to "protect" the food they get..
Remember our eaglets have to learn to survive on their own.

Another turtle. The turtle population in Shepherdstown has gone down dramatically over the past few days!
Big Boy has an old turtle shell.
Hope he throws it out of the nest so I can find it later.

Unbelievable how much they fill up the nest! Remember those 3 little tiny eggs?
So kewl seeing all 3 in the nest again. They do fight with each other though. Was it Ms. Inbetween that got chased away from the turtle shell a couple of minutes ago? Was Spunky the one doing the chasing?
And then there were 2!
Sunny might just see some action at the tree when she goes over to NCTC this evening. It's almose 6pm and she is due there at 7pm.
MsInbetween couldn't wait any longer--off she went.
Now Spunky & BigBoy searching for any leftovers.... Hope they find some - enough for 2 to SHARE !

Where did the turtle shell go? I bet they're catching turtles to practice because they don't move as fast... when we see rabbits in the nest we'll know they're ready to graduate!
And now the nest is empty again. Time for one last soar and hunting session in the evening thermals before darkness sets in.

Whats with all the turtles..lol must be that the fish got smart and skat you think!.Anyway lets hope the live cam stays up for the weekend that would be awesome.. well everone have a great weekend ..cya,

Hi Bonnie, They just started with the turtles yesterday.. You may be right in that the Fish got smart. It has been great seeing all 3 come back every now and then. Full nest when they do. It seems like just a few months ago we were looking at little fuzz balls. Take care.
Okay, my live cam is not the same as the still pics. Anybody else having that problem? When I backed up to replay the action when parent came to the nest followed by 2 kids followed by parent being booted out of the nest, it just shows an empty nest.

Myself and my daughter and two of the eaglets. Time 7:54 est (eaglet standard time) Spunky at 12 and big boy at 6?? Or is 6 ms inbetween? Whomever, he/she is enjoying something yummy...
Okay, am I tripping (I think not today). Did anybody else see all the chaos in the nest a few minutes ago?

I just logged back in, so all I've seen is two in the nest: both eating and staying to themselves. It wouldn't surprise me if there was some fussing going on, teenager eaglets trying to assert their place, and not thinking the parents know anything! (Can you tell I have two teenagers???)
Is that a fish this time?
I take the blame - I reported no nest activity & went over & got involved in Solitaire... I'll never be forgiven. My live cam & live feed are the same: Big Boy & I guess Spunky- Spunky is eating & Big Boy is just watching again... I'll try to retract the live feed & see if I can catch anything.
One eaglet - sorry I'm not confident in saying which is which, just peacefully scooted the other off of its meal and is having a go at it....
Jo, it was awesome, knocked the parent right out of the right side of the nest. Aggressive little bugers.

I couldn't retract to whenever the food came in But BigBoy was eating first & then he just hopped away from the food & Spunky landed on it & mantled over it & then dug in.
