The Lost Meal

525 pm Bella starts to call out. She sees Scout coming with food.

526 pm Scout comes flying in fast, he misses the nest then corrects but he lost the meal he was bringing in. He is very upset as is Bella.

527 pm Both are calling out, trilling and calling back and forth. Scout exits the nest and goes to the downstairs nest to see if it fell there; it did not. Scout is peering off the edge of the new nest looking for it. Bella is looking down from the LOP calling out. Bless their hearts they lost supper; well Scout lost supper :-)

529 pm Scout returns to the original nest. Bella is on the LOP looking down. I think they can see it whatever it was. Scout has a dirty beak so looks like he ate earlier. Bella is not happy. Quite the conversation they are having about the lost meal.

530 pm Bella is looking down from LOP and Scout is looking down over the nest. Whatever it was it must have been a nice meal for them to both be upset by it.

531 pm Poor Scout he is disappointed too. Bella cries out some more. Scout continues to peer over the edge of the nest looking for it. Both are vocal. Scout moves over to the egg cup he concedes; Bella exits from the LOP.

533 pm Scout takes over incubation duty. Switch to Scout.

543 pm Scout has moved over to the edge of the nest again; looking for that fish or meal that got away.

537 pm Scout starts to alert not sure what he sees but he is up calling and alerting. Perhaps something is stealing his meal.

538 pm Scout is off the eggs and watching and looking.

539 pm Bella returns and lands on the LOP. They are having quite the conversation again.

540 pm Scout is eating some leftovers likely from the fresh meat from earlier today. Bella is not happy she is really telling him to back off.

541 pm Scout moves a stick; Bella drops down into the nest. She grabs a morsel to eat. Scout bows his head. Poor guy! He moves back to the eggs.

542 pm Bella is likely telling him to go retrieve that fish haha.

543 pm Scout moves to the short post. Bella is trying to find something to eat in the nest.

544 pm Scout moves to the LOP. Bella is eating leftovers.

547 pm Bella moves back to the egg cup peeps and cheeps a bit then resumes incubation. She must be hungry.

547 pm Scout returns to the new nest and checks it again. Scout peers off the edge of the nest I think he can see it but no access to it. Too bad no supper for his lady. Scout did his best to find the meal it is likely hung up in the tree somewhere.

553 pm Scout returns with some nesting materials’ they move it around.

554 pm Bella rolls her eggs.
