Oh
Good Morning
I think I can catch up on the posts on THIS Thread !

Good Morning Eagle Pals !

Thanks Steve !

Hoda said...

Yes indeedy SHAR said it well: LOLLY and JACK are keepers in our lives.Congratulations you two.

I just sent the route information and my documents information to Carol and Batch so they could keep track of me as I travel in the USA on my way to the reunion...I will keep in touch with email and phone calls...I did not get the message roam package...I am excited JO and I have to make sure I stay balanced so my thinking would stay organized for the trip.
Today I must find two more presents to buy...any ideas as to what to give someone who is turning 70 and has everything already??!!

magpie said...

When I work my way backwards I'll find out to thank for the Callover...

I hae a sneakin' feeling it's grannblt!

Last Full Day of Spring, today

Hoda said...

Nice bird song at the nest any guesses?
LYNNE? MARGY?

magpie said...

No sound here at work for me, Hoda...can't help with the bird song....

magpie said...

I surely won't forget anyone....but might only get a chance to check in from work....for today and the next four....
I'm going to try to keep up, but mght not make a whole lot of noise this week
xoxo

Lolly said...

I was wondering the same thing, Hoda. We are being serenaded. Maybe a Mockingbird?

Lolly said...

I have finished my coffe and need to eat breakfast. Jack is ready to walk. I am thinking Mockingbird, for sure!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I was thinking mockingbird because it sounds like a lot of different birds.

Hoda said...

In comes Miss Belle with a fish and no one is home...looking for a juvie or two she is...

Hoda said...

Thanks SHAR and LOLLY, I like the Mockingbird sound then...

MARGY we will miss you and stay well and check in when you can...five days is a long time if you count today and four others...

SHAR any news on ANDREW'S and KELSEY'S pictures?

Hoda said...

Well Miss Belle is having a meal...

Mema Jo said...

Belle seems to be very cautious
Lots of looking around.....

Lolly said...

Oh, I see an adult eagle in the nest. Hello, Belle!

tHANKS for the new thread, Steve, and for the call over, Glo.

I'm going to bring over a couple of things I wrote just before Glo reported the new one:

You might check the Channel Island cameras now. There's quite a bit of action, and several are nearing fledging. Here's a link, which has all the cams on one page for the Islands:

Channel Island Cameras

By the way, be very careful of the audio volume on the Island cams. The ones that have audio are set very loud.

I reset mine now before I open the particular cam.

C(°ٿ°)D Jim

Hoda said...

Well some fish is still under her talon...she is looking around as if to say where are those kids??!!

Hoda said...

Thanks JIM for the advice re volume on Channel Islands cams...

JO do you think she is worried or is she just looking for the juvies? She is eating again now...

Sorry I do not know that eagles worry as such!!!

Hoda said...

Well sorry for this divergence!!!
The election results in Egypt are causing me a great deal of anxiety...I was expecting it and predicited that the Islamists would win yet I am still anxious...I do not like at all what I see and what I hear on the Arabic channels...So I woul't say anymore because I know of the rule of no politics on the blog...consider this venting more than politics please!!!

Mema Jo said...

Belle looked as though she were searching the skies for her juvies.
Now she has eaten the whole fish.. I hope they don't come expecting their dinner.

Yesterday and today - the goldfinch has
visited me - I just love them!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Oops, wrong page.

Vent away, our precious Hodie! This is not typical American politics that make us all mad! :)

Sandi said...

For Sandi! :)

Sandi said...

Ta-ta!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Now back to my regularly scheduled program.

Hoda said...

Belle watched for a while who ever is flying around the nest and is now gone back to eating.
She is facing five

Hoda said...

SANDI you were hardly here and now you say Ta Ta...where are you going? Oh nails and such I remember...

Thanks SHAR it is a worry for me...I will send a message if it gets overyly too too much...

Mema Jo said...

I didn't know that Belle still had some of the food...

Something out there seems to be getting her attention.

Hoda said...

I would like to see Bro before I undertake my shopping expedition today...wished he would come home to the nest, I was hoping he would follow Belle in but no such luck...I am pretty sure the juvie I saw was Missy...both parents were in this morning also...

Hoda said...

Yes JO the food is under her talon...I agree with you something has her attention...not much is left from that fish though

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I signed in for Sandi so she could get the blog posts emailed. Wasn't really her, just seemed like that.

Mema Jo said...

I hope you have a successful shopping trip and find your gifts!

Mema Jo said...

Sharon thanks for the info - I thought Sandi came in and decided she was in the wrong place and said Ta Ta! ♥

Hoda said...

OH thanks Very Friendly and helpful FRIEND SHAR...I understand about SANDI

Thanks JO for the wish to find the presents I am looking for...

Poof Belle

Hoda said...

For Presents I already have two beautiful scarves, I have a little sail boat for Harry, the little Great Nephew whom I will meet also for the fourth of July and who will turn one year old His Great Grand Father My American Dad was big on sailing and we all were broughtr in to the sailing world so I thought it would be cute to bring him a sail boat...

Hoda said...

Now I have to get three more presents instead of two because Carol just sent a text message saying about Susan's Birthday...Two adult Birthday presents and on house warming present... Off I go...

magpie said...

I think Monday morning was baby birdly fly up day in my two neighborhoods...

grackles, indigo buntings, robins, house finches....it was one noisy morning... !!

magpie said...

Best Wishes and hope the Shopping is fun, Hoda....try to buy a little present for yourself too

magpie said...

See you all later
Have a good day......
xoxo

Lolly said...

Well, I was walking and enjoying watching Belle in the nest. Then she poofed and I had nothing but an empty nest to stare at while I walked.

HODA, like Sharon said, vent away! We are very intested in your views on Egypt.

Sandi said...

Hey, a new thread and I'm already getting the posts in my inbox! Sharon, you are the best!! ♥

Won my match this morning; actually, 3 of our 4 teams won their matches and the team that lost ended up losing in a 3rd set tie-break, so it was a very close match!

Got my new nail color - now I'll have to buy my dress for Saturday's wedding to go with my nail color (a little backward but ...) Looks like it's going to be a hot day for an outdoor wedding in Baltimore on Saturday!! Oh well, reception is indoors so it's not like we'll be outside all day.

Picked up 4 hardback books at the bookstore next to the nail salon for $6! Think I'll head on outside and enjoy the sun and one of my new books. Windows can wait til later!!

Ta ta!! =)

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Missy and Bro just arrived.

Mema Jo said...

Sharon do you think it is BRO eating something

stronghunter said...

Good afternoon.

I see our juvies.

Lolly said...

I see our juvies!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I can never tell the difference between the two.

stronghunter said...

I can't get Yahoo mail today. Anyone else with that problem?

Mema Jo said...

Time to get some things finished around here!

BBL

stronghunter said...

Funny thing, I slice open a watermelon and the basset hounds come running to the kitchen.

Also, I had purchased a package of tomatoes. A couple of tomatoes in it--small ones. I found the empty package on the dining room floor. Luna has been at it again.

We have strange dogs.

I took them to the porch and gave them each a watermelon rind. Luna grabbed hers and made a break for the kitchen. She does not consider herself an outside dog. Princess Luna. She wants air conditioning and a soft bed.

Lolly said...

I can not tell them apart and have even given up trying.

Lolly said...

That is funny, Shirley! She wants to eat in the kitchen, like humans!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Buddy likes celery and snow peas, and of course anything else that has ever been near food! He is particularly fond of my rice cakes. Not sure what the draw is with those!

stronghunter said...

Once had a cat come flying across the room to snag a tomato slice when I opened the refrigerator. I just stood there in awe while the cat ate its prize.

This was when I was a kid--just happened to remember it. I remember thinking that that cat had darn well better eat that tomato slice since it went to so much trouble to get it.

stronghunter said...

Both juvies eating now.

stronghunter said...

One poofed.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I love all the shade on the nest.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Love when you can see them fly away!

stronghunter said...

Me too, Sharon.

stronghunter said...

Finally got into may e-mail. Got this message from my brother in Fort Collins:

We have had some smoke from the fire – Saturday was a very nice day here with clear skies and no smoke at all, then Sunday the wind shifted in the afternoon and we had a heavy cloud of smoke blow through town.

Visibility was maybe a mile and the sun was a deep red color. We had similar conditions last Wednesday but other than that the smoke has not been too bad.

The last I heard the fire was about 50% contained and at about 58,000 acres. I don’t think that they are making any attempt to contain the fire on its western side; there is not much on that side of the fire so they are allowing it to burn.

The eastern side of the fire, the side next to Fort Collins is largely contained. So far the High Park fire is the most destructive fire (most homes burned, 180-190) in Colorado history and third largest fire in Colorado history.

It sounds like it may burn for several more weeks and that some of the folks that have been evacuated may not get to go home for several more weeks.

All in all it is not having much effect on me; I just don’t ride my bike to work on the smokiest days and we run the AC on those days.

stronghunter said...

Still having a problem with my e-mail, though.

JudyEddy said...

HELLLLLLOOOOOOOO Good Afternoon Eagle Buds I see we have a NEW THREAD

THANKS FOR THE NEW THREAD STEVE

and a MT nest I see Just got home from the Ford Dealers to get my raspberry sound checked in my air cond and yep just as I thought a piece of paper and a straw are the guilty culprit No charge didn't even get out of the lane they pulled it out right there and was on my way I told them I was looking forward to watching the eagles while I waited but no waiting for me

JudyEddy said...

They told me that I could stay any way so I drove around back and walked under the eagles nest found lots of bones bleached clean pieces of bones The one guy told me that they had a huge turtle shell the other day about a foot wide and he said one day as he was walking back there to get a car from someone the eagle came out from in between the cars and scared him he said he was beautiful and sooooo tall He or she went on their way must have been looking for something they dropped out of the nest Oh and there was a half eaten fish I took a picture of it tooo NO luck with feathers finding The one guy told me he would hold on to them if he finds any they know I come up all the time for oil change But with the wind there usually isn't any that they have seen in all the years the nest has been there Ok need to go get busy

JudyEddy said...

We have one juvie in the nest picking at nestovers on the crib rail that is almost non existences at 12

JudyEddy said...

WOW where is everyone??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

JudyEddy said...

Juvie down to 5 ish picking at nest overs there now at least the nest doesn't have a order issue with the kids eating all the time anything that is left

Lolly said...

I am here, Judy. Have been cleaning windows. I have done the back of the house and the large windows in front. I now have the side windows left and think I will save them for another day. I am pooped.

Also, took time to repot a plant. I call them funeral plants. This one is from Faye's funeral. It has always dried up very quickly, so I found a larger pot that still fits into the basket it sits in.

My day is done. Well...almost!

Lolly said...

I see the juvie in the nest. It is hiding behind the trunk now.

JudyEddy said...

HI LOLLY thought I was all alone feeling neglected LOL

I have been in and out pulling the silly vines that like to grow in my yard Virginia creeper (My neighbor says it Poison oak or ivy and he is wrong) they are such a PIA-- was nice only working 5 hours today Went to the Ford dealers and my back isn't killing me so I though I would go out side I want to wash my truck that is what I want to do now before the bugs start biting When I get off at 6 the mosquitoes are to bad to do anything outside

Well thought I would check in this evening. I see nest is /was empty. I was having some computer problems -tried to fix them myself - then I really had problems. Think I am getting it smoothed out some but was pretty much offline a few days. Had a good Father's Day and 29th Anniversary Sunday although both were rather un-eventful. I'm guessing the juvies are getting more independent by the day. Hope verybody and evrything is OK. Take care and will probably check in again in the next few days.

Something just doesn't seem right with KAY having so much pain for so long. I'm wondering if there is another ailment that hasn't been discovered yet??
I read that she is a little better this evening...hope that is doubled tomorrow!

GG was a little better today...she slept a lot but when she got up she did eat a little bit...a child size plate of beef and buttered noodles and 2/3rds of an egg roll and half a bottle of strawberry Ensure.
Back to beauty salon for a color touch up. I'm going to get Dad's wheel chair down and use that. She is too weak to use her wheelie
walker and it wears me out trying to keep her going straight:)
Got one of those bench chairs to set in the tub so she can get a safer bath. Have never bathed my Mother before, but don't think she can do it herself. She told me she took a bath yesterday but I don't think so, she had on the same clothes as the day before.

Please pray with me that I can handle this new development in GG's life properly and lovingly~

Good night dear friends. Prayers and love for all♥

Morning Lori and CarolAnne! Heating up here at the beach today - 93 degrees and by tomorrow, a heat index over 100! Wow, what a fast warm-up!

Happy 1st day of summer!! Need to catch up on yesterday's blog news! BBL!

Sandi said...

Great news that Kay had a better day yesterday! Thank God!

Wanda, continued prayers for GG. Be careful with those bathtub chairs - the one I have in the tub for my mom is a little wobbly (she gave me hers when she got the shower conversion at her new condo, which has a built in seat. This way she'll have a seat in the tub for the 3 weeks that she's here at the beach). Is there a grab bar in the tub for her to hold onto while she gets into and out of the tub?

Shirley, I love your animal stories! Watermelon rind eating dogs and tomato eating cats???

Another crazy-busy day here. Tennis this AM, then the HVAC guy is coming to service the heat pumps, then the carpet cleaning guys are coming to steam clean both sets of stairs, then "the crew" arrives late this afternoon. Still haven't formulated a plan for keeping Daisy (sister's dog) away from my grouchy senior citizen dog - it will depend on who's sleeping in which bedrooms for the next 3 weeks.

Mom had to write a check for $3000 yesterday to get the water pipes replaced at her old place. The buyer refused to split the cost and said she would terminate the contract if they weren't replaced. Mom didn't want to lose the sale and have to start all over, so she agreed to pay the full cost - she is NOT happy. Hopefully, being at the beach with her kids and grandkids will take her mind off of it.

Tennis is at 8 - gotta eat and get dressed! Later!

Well on Facebook they said they have done some changes so I bet that is what made some of us have issues with it last night the changes are

Facebook has widened the field of view on the preview feature (which appears when hovering your cursor over another Facebook user's name), so it now includes a cover photo. Cover photos are an optional feature on the new Timeline profile. Please note that the cover photo has been created as an extension of a public profile photo. It does not, nor will it ever have privacy settings - don't waste your time or energy protesting if you wish it did.
The feature simply allows users to express themselves on their public profile with more than just a small profile photo, if they want.

Happy birthday West Virginia!!!!

That made me think of Normabyrd so I called her. She was tickled. She was getting ready to go to the wellness center for her workout. She didn't know about Lynn. :( I thought someone said they had told her. She is doing well she said, not doing much though. She did say it made her day.

magpie said...

Thanks Sharon....so good that you talked wtih Norma....
you're the right one for it !

magpie said...

I had wanted to send her the Memorial program from Lynn's services......feel better about doing that now...

magpie said...

Jo
thanks for that late night update for Kay....things sound a LOT better on that post

and Wanda: I am so sorry that things seem to be in a somewhat downward transition for GG.....
it's a blessing that you can be there for her, and remember to keep your own strength and wellness boosted....if you can. Hard to do when you give so much to so many

magpie said...

$3,000 ouch! Sandi...
sounds like your Mom just had to do and get it behind her...

Mema Jo said...

Thanks Paula - I just kept trying and trying and Blogger Cop allowed me to
post.

Margy - the banding was with Greg down at Patuxent River State Park. Loretta
also mentioned it - Ceil in an email told me about it. The banding may have
already happened.
