They asked for his passport. They asked what was his purpose and he replied to inspire people everywhere. He volunteered the info that he was not carrying anything. LOL

wvgal_dana said...

Nick has finished his walk and is in Canada.

We drove to Canada in the summer of 1980 at that time we did not need our passport.

It was beautiful at Niagra Falls the flowers around the clock. Just spectular. The mist would just hit your windshield as you drove.

We stayed and had a wonderful time at the falls. I like the Canadian side much better.

Lolly said...

Oh, we did a split!

Lolly said...

LOL He will ride in a car with his family.

stronghunter said...

His family was waiting on the Canadian side. I am sure they have made arrangements. I think he has some interviews scheduled.

Lynne2 said...

he's calling his Gramdma!

Lynne2 said...

Maybe he'll take a barrel ride back.

Lolly said...

Did not hear that, Lynne. Cool!

wvgal_dana said...

That was before daughter was born. We would have a long weekend and flipped a coin whether to head North or South. First trip was North. That got us into Canada to the falls.

Later we took a trip South. I had my little fox with me in the car. She laid up in the back at the back windshield. People were putting their windows down and riding beside us asking questions about "Summer" my fox. Went all the way to Kentucky to check out a zoo that had heard about her and wanted her there. The zoo was a very nice zoo. But I still kept with my decision I made when I found her. That was to keep her wild and get her to mating season to let her go back to the wild. I am so glad I had that experience with her and watching her as I released her back into the woods.

Lolly said...

Okay....it is late, but I gotta go make a pie. Oh, well, will not take too long.

Lynne2 said...

oh shoot....what did he say he was going to walk across that's a mile? I missed it

stronghunter said...

Now he is planning to cross the Grand Canyon. Oviler a me across it.

JudyEddy said...

Quick note did you notice his grandma was a OMA

Lynne2 said...

Oviler a me? LMBO! Just sat her for several seconds trying to figure out what kind of contraption an Oviler a me was!!!!

Lynne2 said...

BTW....192 days til Christmas.

stronghunter said...

Didn't notice that, Judy.

I meant to say "over a mile" across the Grand Canyon.

stronghunter said...

Sorry, Lynne. Trying to watch TV and type at the same time. Maxed out.

stronghunter said...

Lol, Lynne. Literally. George thinks I have lost it.

Lynne2 said...

LOL Shirley....must be time for bed!

stronghunter said...

Laughing, coughing fit, tears. Yeah, probably time to go upstairs.

Lynne2 said...

me too...still laughing though!

We've got a Mockingbird very close to the house tonight just singing away! It's so pretty out tonight!

stronghunter said...

I heard one the other night when I went out back. We have an abundance of mockers around here. They sometimes try to take over. Love them. They are so feisty.

wvgal_dana said...

This is a picture of Summer when I first found her out on Interstate 81. I thought it was a kitten. Until I got her to the car. Was told I had a gray fox.

wvgal_dana said...

I enjoy being on here while I have the tv on.

I reset my table that holds my laptop and it is much better.

Summer was a lot of fun to raise. Wanting to keep her wild. So many people in the Valley wanted to come and see her. When they did of course they wanted to hold her. I couldn't let that happen. I didn't want her getting use to people.

I would take her out on a real long rope. Into the tall grass and I would hide. She was something to watch catch her meal. That was when she got older.

Like the eagles that we have learn't so much from.

I learn't so much from that beautiful fox. I did always bring her in when a friend called and said he was leaving his hounds out.

Lynne2 said...

I have been outside....my Nicotaina is BLOOMING and oh it smells SOOOOO wonderful! Tried to get some pictures

Lynne2 said...

you're such a Friday night party animal, Lolly!

Have fun this weekend!

Costume Lady said...

Bedtime here, too.
Had a full house for Family Friday.
Brandon and his girlfriend's brother took over the cooking duties! Fish, Hash Browns and Roasted Corn with Black Beans and red and green peppers. A wonderful meal and it was wonderful to have the younguns fix it!

Good night...love and prayers for all♥

Judie said...

Good grief!

I was going to make some comments but can hardly stop laughing.

Don't you all realize this is just a ploy on the part of Wallender to get the RCMP to take him to Hoda? This is all just a huge cover up. Crossing the Niagra by walking on a rope is just to impress her. Remember that Hoda will be absent this weekend?

Judie said...

It is time to get some sleep.

Shar and Bev, I know tomorrow will be a sad day but the family will be so grateful to have you both there. The service will be beautiful, I'm sure.

Restful sleep for all.

Hoda said...

Goodnight.

PRAYERS♥

Judie said...

Wanda, so glad you had a good Family Friday and especially nice that someone else did the cooking for you.

Okay, that's it. Bye

Hoda said...

Oh No JUDIE...he is a few weeks early I will not be back east for a while yet, so he must have another Hoda that he means to impress...!!!LOL!!!

Lolly said...

As far as I know there is only one amazing HODA!!! Watch out Hoda, he has crossed over to your side!

I think Shirley and Lynne were having a couple of clear moments!

Pie is done...will do the meringue tomorrow. It is too late to any more. Yeah, real party animal here. LOL

Lolly said...

Time to say good night!

Jewels said...

Hi! What a flipping week it has been with everything. I now have water again...a tune of 800$ and now guess what.... the freaking Washing machine is broken. I give and I give... in more ways than one. Yet I am still here and laughing at the ones and things that crap on me!!! GO ahead and make my day!! I dare!!!

Good Saturday morning my eagle friends!

Sandi said...

Both kids are in the nest. Hoping that breakfast will arrive?

Sandi said...

The Niagara Falls walk was on way too late for me to stay awake. Thanks all, for the second by second commentary, interspersed with humor! =)

Heard some squawking while I was in the kitchen fixing dog breakfasts. A parent must have dropped off food b/c Missy is eating something. Bro is picking at whatever Missy discarded when the good stuff arrived.

Lori O. said...

Good morning Sandi! it is gorgeous this morning. On my iPad and not good at typing on these touch keyboards! Feels so great to wake up here ... Thank you, God! I needed this.

Have not read back yet...hope al is well and KAY is feeling a lot better now that she is in rehab.

So happy this morning!!!! Smiley face here

Sandi said...

Lori, I see you could not be technology-free for the weekend! I'll admit I couldn't be either! I had to buy a stylus for typing on my Kindle - long fingernails and virtual keyboards do not get along! I may never get a Smartphone/Iphone for that same reason!

This weather is so gorgeous! Probably a little cool for being on the beach though.

stronghunter said...

Beauteous morning here. Birdies at my feeder and the peanuts I put out yesterday evening. Too bad some of them are blackbirds, but not a horde of them at this point.

Oh, and here comes a squirrel.

T-Bird said...

Good morning my eagle peeps.

Sandi said...

Good morning Shirley and Thelma!! Shirley, thanks for the reminder that my feeders needed filling! My birds thank you as well! I think I'll take my tea and Bella and maybe even a light blanket, and sit on the front porch rocker. BBL!

Good morning everyone. Rainy today but so far not stormy. We need some rain really badly so its good. Going to make up some guest beds and wrap some gifts today. I am getting excited. That messes with my sleep. I hope I am not exhausted by the time the family get here LOL. I will run on adrenaline anyway but it would be nice to run on sleep :-) HAGD

Good morning! Was hoping to wake to thunder again but no luck!

I am dressed and ready to head out. Meeting Laurel in Arlington for the Country Peddler Craft Show. Have not been in a long time, hope that have some good "stuff". Not that I will buy much, but certainly like to look. I really like to look at cute clothes!

Judie said...

Good morning.

Lolly, I watched a rerun of Wallender when he arrived on the Canadian side of Niagra. Read his lips. He distinctly asked for directions to Nelson, B.C. and for Hoda the Amazing.

Shirley is so correct. Beauteous sunshiny day in our part of VA. Is tree planting on the agenda? Need to mix some hummer food later today.

Glo, enjoy the exciting build-up to granddaughter's arrival. Adrenalin can be good, ya know.

Carolyn, I feel so sorry for all the "crap" in your life. Very disheartening for you. Stay strong, please. Your mom is beside you.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

More of the "June Gloom" for So Cal today with a high of about 70°, but it makes for a beautiful day anyway...somehow.

Both the still and the live feeds are coming through beautifully here today. Is that a shadow of an eaglet at 10 o'clock, or the stump?

It looks like two turtle shells are about to fall from the nest ... is there anyone down there??

I've got to get some coffee, I'm feeling a little giddy.

Beach oh that sounds so good. If this foot keeps working the way the dr. wants it too I might just get to drive to the beach.

My Sweet Darling Cousin Rosie is with our Lord Jesus in Heaven. Lisa called me yesterday morning.
We talked a long time (Lisa is Rosie's Daughter that took care of her with hospice, Lisa doing most
of everything). I told Lisa each morning she would feel a hug from me and each night before
bedtime. She thought that was so so special.
I am so glad I had made the trip and had gotten to see my sweet sweet Rosie. The family will of
course need prayers if anyone feels like offering them up. Rosie did know me when I was up there. Our grandma made sure we kids were all saved and believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior. So I know Rosie walks with the Lord.

Hoda the Amazing. You are just a wonderful bunch of fun. Glad you had a good day in spite of the attempts to compromise your "Victorian" attitude. lol

Judie said...

Hoda, he pumped his fist because he made it to Canada and knew you were only about 3,000 miles away. (:

Hoda said...

What??? Victorian Attitude??? Well Her Majesty Queen Victoria herself DID NOT have a victorian attitude the way she went after Albert and her life was certainly not of a shy withdrawn woman...oh how she was crushed when he died and she gained so much weight that she could not get out of the carriage to go into the Cathedral for her 60th Jubilee...she would have scoffed on victorian and my life story does not qualify me for victorian either I am afraid!!! LOL!!!

I love you Hoda and Judie. :-)

Hoda said...

♥♥ SHAR ♥♥ Thought of you lots as you and BEV stood for FAMILY...

Oh Hoda, tell us more!!

Judie said...

Shhhh! Hush, hush! What stealthy footsteps do I hear coming ever closer and closer? Oh, we must be vigilant and so very quiet. I rearranged the doors and walls and the sandperson is confused. Yet still, the sandperson persists and is making a stealthy path down the hallway (I forgot to move that). Oh crap! I just realized the light from the computer -- a sure sign of my location. Oh well, it is time to make my way to dream land.

The night light is on early for others who may need to arise in the darkness. The sandperson will be on the way soon. Restful sleep for all.

Early Happy Father's Day for all the dadsters.

Mema Jo said...

lol HA HA He got you anyhow!
There isn't anyway to fool the ole' Sandman!

Good Night Judie ♥

stronghunter said...

Rest well, Judie. SED.

Mema Jo said...

Did you do much today Shirley - other then clean the house?

NatureNut said...

Oh Gosh! I just missed saying Good Night to Judie!!
Didn't get on here earlier until I finished a little Father's Day card project with the kitties! One especially helped me change both ink cartridges and then ran away w/the thick plastic bag that had been on one. Had to track her down. She likes to recycle plastic and some of the stuffings in the toy animals!
At Park I was able to get online, but didn't have chance to write. Like ESP w/Lynne last night, our USTREAM Osprey cam IS on the first nest that has 3 smaller chicks. That one also has a night light. Greg K. said that about midnight something really bothered Mom at the nest by probably landing somewhere near the camera. He said the males stay in a tree and not in the nest at night. They were loud today as Greg was out on boat w/a photo club while he banded some of the youngsters. He didn't band these yet, but stopped the boat near them & adults were po'd!
Had gobs of groups at Park and lots of actiopn. A bicycle club was having a 60 mi. ride that started at 7AM. The first rest/snack stop was at our Park!!! Hundreds. They provided their own snacks and water, but ran out. They came in the office to ask for snacks. We only have a machine outside. They wanted more TP, of course, and one man said the handle broke off the toilet!!!!DUH! I don't usually do plumbing. Our Boss was in for a few hours & said he'd check it!
A call from the boat ramp was to make sure we sent the ambulance that was coming down to the ramp! Seems a world class water skier took an awkward fall and hurt his hip and dislocated his shoulder.
EMT folks told someone before they left, that another unit would be coming, but out on a nearby road for a biker who had fallen and might have concussion!
It calmed down some before lunchtime! Ahh, the joys of summer fun and boys with their toys.
I never got to the other side of Park. There was a large group picnic there for Rolling Thunder!

SHIRLEY don't you go joining JUDIE, JO and LOLLY!!! LOL!!!

Sleep well JUDIE and I hope you gave instructions to the Sandperson to find his way to BC...

stronghunter said...

Not really, Jo. Worked some on the living room and mopped the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Still have more that needs doing.

stronghunter said...

Got dog hair off the living room sofa.

It was just too tempting, Hoda. You said you weren't Victorian. Sounds interesting.

However, an Egyptian/Canadian woman who learned English from Scottish nuns, as I recall, and who is a mean dragon-boat rower, is hardly my idea of the Victorian woman.

Hoda said...

Hugs SHIRLEY...

I think all of our lives are interesting and this is why we are able to have a sincere friendship and to know laughter with each other...

I wonder how LOLLY'S pie turned out? I hope she is having a terrific time with her family...

Hoda said...

SHIRLEY is your brother's house still OK in the Colorado fires/ I just read they are now destroying homes a lot of them...God keep them safe...

stronghunter said...

He is in town. I have not heard from him today, but he was not concerned. I think the houses in danger are outside of town. Pretty sure I would hear if the city of Ft. Collins started burning.

Not as sure where his son's house is located, but I think it is in the city, too.

stronghunter said...

Thanks for your concern, Hoda.

Hoda, how far north of the US border are you? I was just looking at a map, and it does not look too far.

Lynne2 said...

I HAVE to ask.....

(shhhh, anyone who saw this already!)

Why did the cowboy adopt a Dachshund?

Hoda said...

SHIRLEY, I am 35 to 40 minutes away from the border. By GPS shows me at 49.5 Parallel...3 hours and 25 minutes from Spokane...not too bad at all. I might find a place to go for a hike on the way to the city as it is way too beautiful in Washington Forests to not stop...I will go to our tourist centre here and see what they recommend for an easy hike...
Thanks for asking I am getting excited...I have to buy a few more presents for Birthday celebrations that we will have while I am there...My oldest American sister turns 70 and her daughter and grandson also have summer birthdays...so does my second American sister...so looking for presents...it is fun...it is what I will do most of this week.

We are home! Had a great time! Pie was delicious as well as the rest of the meals. Joey smoked ribs and salmon. Laurel had potato salad, slaw, and her delicious beans. Need to share that crock pot recipe with you! I fixed baked asparagus and the pie.

Joseph is convalescing. They were at a swim party last night and he cut his toe (BAD) on the diving board. Considered taking him to the hospital but didn't. I did not see it but saw a picture. Yuck! He will mend, but he starts basketball camp nest Thursday. Yikes! Hope he mends fast!

C/A jealous of your loons. That is so fantastic to see them with their baby!!!

Heading to bed. I slept all the way home. I am too pooped to pop!

LOL Lynn, would have liked that. Get a long little doggie!!!

Night all! SED!!!!

Hi, Everyone,
Getting here very late tonight. Was busy today doing some grossery shopping and cleaning house. Right now I'm waiting for the dryer to stop so I can unload it.

I really need to try to get caught up on the blog in the morning. Hope everyone is OK!

My schedule is sort of messed up--I slept in late this morning, and got more than 7-1/2 hours of sleep!

I think we have an Oregon Junco nest under the eaves at the front of the house! I can hear those babies peeping! Haven't tried to take a picture, because I don't want to scare them.

Well, better get to bed. Have said prayers for everyone, and all creatures. The porch light is on, and both security systems are enabled. Sleep well, everybody. God bless, and goodnight. SED!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL OUR DADSTERS!!!

Good morning. First morning in my own bed in a week! Feels good to be home sitting here drinking my coffee.
Had a very satisfying week helping a Catholic Elementary school get some much needed work done.I think it's funny that I ended up cleaning at a Catholic Elementary school when my own classroom isn't even finished!

Good morning DanaMo! Both kids are in the nest. Looks like the sun is coming up in WV - kinda gray here.
