Good morning Sandi. Only one that I can see now. I got to see some eagles close up at Busch Gardens and I was really amazed at their size. There were 4 that were rescued. One had been caught in a barbed wire fence, another hit by a vehicle, none could fly anymore and are now residents of the park.

Good morning and Happy Father's Day to all the Dadsters!!!

kind of cloudy and gray here this morning, but I am hoping the sun will be out soon...saw some beautiful rays of sunshine streaming thru the clouds earlier.

So, how is the world of HODA, Wanda, Sandi, Jo, Judie, CA, LOLLY, MARGY, Jewels, Linda, Lynne, Sharon, Bev, Thelma, JudyE, Shirley, Janet, Kay, Loretta, Paula, DanaMo, Susan, et al? hope I did not miss anyone...it's still early, but wanted you all to know I am thinking about you! Hi Sandi. I think I misremembered yesterday to ask about the tournament status late yesterday. Hope all your house guests are still in competition.

Shirley, sorry I also misremembered you have a brother in Ft. Collins. Sure hope he and his family will not be seriously affected.

BBL

stronghunter said...

Thanks, Judie. So far, I think they are okay, though probably having to deal with smoke. It would be big news if the city of Fort Collins started burning. I think it is mostly in the mountains, which are not really too far away.

stronghunter said...

Hope the tournament is going well, Sandi.

Sandi said...

Judie and Shirley, today is the last day of the tournament but none of "my girls" are in the finals. Two have already left for the next tournament in Williamsburg and the other 2 are leaving this morning.

I bet Belle and Shep don't feel the "empty nest" sadness that human parents feel when their kids fly the coop. Then again, I never really felt that sadness; I rather enjoyed the empty nest for the time that we had it!! =) Now, with Kevin back home, I wonder if we'll ever have an empty nest again!

Poof Belle!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Talked with Andrew and Kelsey this morning. They had to be off the ship by 8-something. They had the time of their lives! All the pictures were taken on Andrew's phone and he went swimming at St. Maarten Thursday and forgot his phone was in his pocket. We are hoping we can get the data recovered from the phone. More will be revealed. They will fly into Charleston about 10:30 tonight unless they can get an earlier flight. I am going up Friday because it is his birthday! I have to see my kid on his birthday.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Still cam is quite a bit behind the live feed. Belle flew out a couple of minutes ago.

Lolly said...

Good morning! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL THE DADSTERS!!

Going to read the paper soon, but thought I would check in first. Great to see DanaMO and Lori on here this morning. And, the rest of you, too...but it seems DanaMo and Lori have not been on much in the mornings recently and have missed them.

I saw Belle but just for a moment. Liked her take off!

We are going to church but not going to Dallas till late afternoon. Michael, Ash, and Zach went to New Orleans for the weekend. Can not keep up with that family. Jet Setters!!!

Have a great day!

Mema Jo said...

Good Morning and Happy Father's day to all the dads out there and to all of your hubby's and especially to Shep!

and OFF one goes!

Update on my friend Lori who had the surgery on Friday. Please continue the prayers.

I just spoke with Lori's brother. Here is what he knows: They moved her urostomy site a little bit but not as much as she hoped they would. They repaired her hernia and the complication arose in closing her up. Her colon had been inside the hernia for so long and your body has a way of adapting to what it has available, when they repaired the hernia and were closing the large incision, there was not enough room to fit her intestines back in her abdominal cavity. In the middle of the surgery, her brother had to make a decision for them to either put mesh over her intestines and not do a closure or remove enough bowel so they could close her. They performed the latter. She did not have to have a colostomy though so that is a good thing. They are keeping her sedated most of the time but bring her out of the sedation a little bit a couple of times a day to see if she can breathe on her own. She can't talk because of the intubation but responds when they talk to her. She is still in guarded condition but the docs said she did the best they could have hoped for.

stronghunter said...

Prayers, Sharon. A hard thing for a brother to have to decide.

magpie said...

Happy Father's Day to our Dadsters and all the good men who help to influence our lives!

magpie said...

Ditto that Suzan, nice sentiment...

My Dad was a lot of fun, there were eight of us kids, he played all kinds of games with us, and made up a bunch of games too !
He was genuinely a People Person.

magpie said...

And boy was he smart !

magpie said...

My two brothers, also Dads, were a lot of fun as well...
they still are when I get to see them, which is way too infrequently

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Different Lori.

Lolly said...

Hi all! Home from church and watered a few pots. Already 90, so think I will stay in for the rest of the day.

See a juvie in the nest and chowing down.

Prayers for Lori, Sharon. That is really tough.

A VERY GOOD MORNING
FOR A FATHERS DAY

From So Cal.

****************************

Now I see Belle in the nest chowing down on her own fish next to Missy, who's been feeding on hers for a while.

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim

Lolly said...

Looks like Belle in the nest feeding one juvie.

magpie said...

Okay Sharon, I see that, thanks...

Same kinds of prayers though....

See the Eagles on the nest but I only have Still Cam up...
Lolly, don't need to scratch through that card, but the RIGHT card might be a day or two late ☺

Lolly said...

What am I hearing on the cam? Jack thought it was a bird. Not one I have heard before.

Lolly said...

I see one adult, Belle, I think and one juvie in the nest.

movin said...

Am I seeing things, or is there a second fledgling lying down near the 12 o'clock position?

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim

Lolly said...

Not sure if I missed it or not, Jim. Definitely 2 there now!

Happy Father's Day!

movin said...

Guess that answers my question.

The younger one is up on his feet and Belle is feeding him now.

Belle must be keeping fish in a magical bag to be feeding so many at once.

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim

magpie said...

Wow, nice family afternoon going on there
not so sure the Juveniles are too tickled about it though

Okay Sharon, I see your friend Lori info, thanks...
Same kinds of prayers though....

Lolly, don't need to scratch through that card, but the RIGHT card might be a day or two late ☺

magpie said...

not sure anyone could have ordered up a nicer day hereabouts...
sun, breezes, rather cool

Hi there Jim, and Lolly too...

movin said...

I remember when Liberty was here, as soon as the first eaglet fledged (female usually), Belle would take her in tow and would feed her away from the nest usually.

Then Liberty was in charge any male or males from that time until they departed the area, and he would often feed them on the nest.

Does Shep care for the fledglings this season??

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim

Lolly said...

Wish is was rather cool here, too, Margy. Just plain HOT. However, it is 91 and we have not hit 100 yet!!

Certainly can see the breeze on the cam.

Lolly said...

I have seen Shep bringing in food frequently.

movin said...

Glad to hear he does, Lolly.

Kind of ironic it's Fathers Day, and they're all having a family day on the nest without Shep.

I hope you all are having a good Fathers Day, and I'll be talking to you later. I've got to get some things done.

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim

Sandi said...

Jim, sorry I missed you but, as I was walking past the computer a little bit ago, Belle was in the nest with both kids; it looked like one was eating. Shep arrived with a fish and Belle took it and started feeding the other juvie. Shep did a drop and go - he doesn't seem to stick around for long when both kids are in the nest, but he did put in an appearance for Father's Day. He has been a good dad, though we all had our doubts at the beginning of this nest season!

OK, back to doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms to get ready for the next batch of company arriving on Wednesday!

stronghunter said...

Wow, you are staying busy, Sandi.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Shar, prayers for your friend Lori.

Lolly said...

Wow, we are seeing a lot of our eagles today.

Temp has dropped from 91 to 86. Put on the radar and see that we have storms west of us. Possibly might reach this way. Would welcome rain! Right now appreciate the dropping temps. Went out and filled a bucket with garden debris. Started to warm up so I am in and with ice on my back.

Jewels said...

Whoooohooooo!!!! MY driver won the Michigan Race!!!!!!! Way to go Dale Jr!!!!

Lolly said...

LOL Carolyn....you are your mother's daughter! I have no interest at all in the races. Pass TX Motor Speedway every time we go to Laurel's.

Temp has dropped to 83, very nice, but I think the rain is going to miss us. Drat!

Congrats, Jewels! Dale. Jr. won today and I bet there was an Angel on his shoulder!!! ☺ ♥

Jewels said...

Hope everyone is enjoying their day... I haven't been on here much, just keeping my distance for a while, but I needed to holler at mom's friends about our driver!!!
Miss you all, but will be back active soon.

Good after noon and good evening all...

I spoke to KAY and she is still with pain yet things in rehab are looking up for her and she has a room with a view. She took a royal tour in her wheel chair this morning and Julie told her about where all things are.
She asked after the juvies and sends her love and prayers to us for all of our needs.
She sounded strong.

Karla called this morning and said she would be over after church to help her daddy celebrate Father's Day.
Well, along with her came, Jillian, Aaron, Donny, Rachael, Robbie, Jayden and Brantley. She brought Lasagna and Chicken Alfredo and dessert. What a super day we had...Gene said it was the best Father's Day he has had in years!
GG is not doing well, she slept most of the day and when she was up, she just wasn't herself. She has a doctor appointment this week...need to get to the bottom of whatever is going on.

Good morning.

Rain woke me at 4:30. Overcast and cool this morning. Ah, I so much prefer cool to hot and sticky.

As for the Mr. Studmuffin, it all makes perfect sense. A gentleman always sees a lady home and the key, well, that must be to feed Nick in case Paula has to work late. All ever so respectable.

Must has missed something. Sharon, so glad Andrew and Kelsey are home but did something happen with the pictures? Hope they are retrievable. Prayers for Lori who is sick.

Wanda, what a fantastic day for Gene and for you. Karla did good! So sorry about GG not feeling well. She is so sweet and I do not like her being sick. Must visit her soon.

Margy, have fun with James the Wise today.

Sandi, your ladies may not have won the ultimate match but you still have winners.

Okay, off to find coffee and the newspaper. Laundry day today.
