Steve should be home Wed night or Thursday. I'm too angry to comment on the events of today. Suffice it to say, for now, that Wendy thinks that saying she's sorry is all the action she needs to take.
Charlie is doing ok.... He is getting his mean attitude back. He said he picked at his dinner tray...wanted some ice cream. So I went to DQ for him and got him a caramel sundae. He could not eat it, go figure. story of my book. All I know right now is that he has antibiotics running up till 2 pm. We hope he gets to come home, so I guess we shall see. They never like to discharge till they know you have paid for the whole day anyway!!
Evening is upon us! Lynn, so glad to "SEE" you on blog and so happy you had a wonderful lunch w/girls and pals!
Love the Dr. Seuss Fish poem!!☺ Kay, batten down the hatches!! So glad your relatives escaped weather danger. Hope I can write this short, but phoned TX & daughter left for Haiti. Her company's disease test kits are being used at hosp. by special Dr. to detect illnesses patients have. Anyway, SIL told me a fire story that might give you chills (the good kind). The lady at kennel where he takes kitty said that a man had been away from his home in adjoining development called Tahitian Village when fires started last summer. He raced to his home to rescue his dog, a yellow lab, that was in kennel behind house. They wouldn't let him in, but police officer took him in cruiser as close to his house as they could get. House was engulfed & officer locked car doors. The homeowner got a call about 2 weeks later from a vet's office. They had his dog! The fireman found it in kennel with some cinder burns, but it was OK & sent to veterinarian. When man was allowed to go back to burned house, he found urn that held his soldier son's ashes from a year before and also the triangular American flag in it's case!!!! He said he got the only three things he wanted! God is awesome! Pleasant Feather Dreams and Prayers for all in need,& special ones for our Lynn ;>)
Sandi, our osprey at the beach are supposed to return this week!
Oh, took a really long walk this afternoon, way up the shore...on the way back, an immature eagle flew over...still had brown in the tail...and I saw 4 eagles flying over the main road to the beach house on the way home
Sharon, so very sorry to hear about Nila
So they all went to Red Lobster! What a nice lunch!
Kay, glad you are feeling better and could join in...loved your Dr Seuss poem!
Lolly, looking forward to hearing about your lunch and meet up with Andy!
Oh, forgot to mention on my long walk today...found two spots along the shore that were just bunches of feathers....looks like something had eaten a bird of some sort...I think one was a duck...
Hi, Everyone! What a nice surprise to hear back from Lolly! We had a long chat on the phone, and will be meeting for lunch on Friday at Weinberger's Deli in Denton. Can hardly wait!!!
Looks like there's a good chance of thundershowers tomorrow and Tuesday here. Sounds about right, since it rained at home in SoCal yesterday, and stormy weather usually takes about 2 days or so to reach the kids' house in Texas.
Sharon, so very sorry to hear of Nila's passing. Glad she's no longer in pain, and praying that God will give you His peace. (Hugs)!!
Lynn, so glad you had such a wonderful lunch today, with your girls and a few friends! Sending much love and ((HUGS)) your way! Prayers for your healing continue, nonstop! Sorry about Liesl's accidental nip. Bet she felt really bad about it! Gosh, we are missing Emma SOOO much! Sure are enjoying our stay with the kids, though. Their vicinity is so very green, and the bluebells are starting to bloom along the highways. The trees are a beautiful spring green, and some are all decked out in pink blooms.
Our family portrait session this morning was lots of fun, and we think the pictures turned out really well. Waiting now for the photographer to put her favorites on her website. We will get a CD from her in a couple of weeks.
I fell asleep in my chair, but now ready for bed. Had my pre-sleep. LOL
Lynne, so very sorry about the situation in FL. I know you are very anxious to get your Stubby home!
Loretta, love the story of the man who recovered the important things to him, especially the dog. How horrible to not be able to go in and rescue the dog at the time. OMG, I just can not imagine.
Heading to bed now, shall see what tomorrow brings. They say storms. What will be will be.
I tried so hard to get a video of our visit with Lynn, on my blog...things have changed and I don't know where to begin:( Will try again tomorrow when my brain is rested:)
It was so good to see LYNN and friends. We had a great visit at her house, then traveled in a 'convoy' over to Hagerstown to the Red Lobster. It was so nice to get acquainted with Mema Jo's ED!
We all went to dinner at Babe's tonight--what a feast! The food is served family style, and there's plenty of it! I had the fried chicken, and Kubby had chicken fried steak. The side dishes were mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, and green beans with bacon. They give you a salad with oil & vinegar dressing first. Their biscuits (with butter and honey) are to die for!!! They were nice enough to give us extra biscuits to take home with us. I was indeed "tight as a tick," and you could have rolled me to the car!
Well, glad to hear that although Shep still hasn't started feeding the bobbleheads, he at least is bringing in LOTS of fish for Belle to feed them! I'm hoping that he will eventually catch on.
Gosh, I'm feeling pretty sleepy, so think I'll call it a day. Have said prayers for everyone, and every creature. Making sure the porch light is on. Enabling both security systems. Sleep well, everyone. God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you! :o]
Took a long time to get here this morning...lotta posts to read but how wonderful most of it is great news...Kay, glad you were able to ride out the storm with no harm!
Sleep well, lovely Hoda!
Glad to hear Charlie is getting back to his old self.
Andy, hope you'll share those family pics with us!
What a blessing that Lynn and friends had a wonderful day. We'll take all of those she can get!
Sharon, I hope Nila's family and you are holding up well. Prayers for peace and comfort.
A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts up to a quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Nest still quite dark, but I detected Belle moving around a bit.
Glad so many of you liked my silly little Dr. Seuss parody ! Had fun with that.
Julie's neighbors are TV stars here and not for a good reason. Their house appraises for around 300,000.00---they estimate 30,000.00 for repairs. Heard on the late news that a funnel was sighted at Morse and High, which is only about 3 blocks away from me as the crow flies. Too close ! I'm worried about our Columbus eagles---can't get the cam to come in this morning and it was in the path of some pretty rough stuff. After I signed off last night we had a ten minute hail storm, with hail the size up peas up to the size of a quarter. I'm also afraid some of you are in for some bad weather today as the storms headed eastward along the I70 corridor.:(
Hi DANAMO ! Reading about some of the gang getting together yesterday and ANDY n' LOLLY meeting up this week, makes me anxious to see you next month--right here in Columbus and hopefully again in WV ! Do you tow a vehicle with RVing ? Will have to do some thinking about the best place to get together out toward your KOA campground.
Looks like you're all busy with work, morning pet needs and perhaps FBing. I'll just go on blabbing....
Julie will be here today for window washing and screen cleaning. Since she and Seth have different Spring vacations this will be part of her joyous break. ☺ We usually do her Spring cleaning together during this week, but I'm not up to it this year.
I've got to go get Annemarie moving. I'm going to post pictures on my blog from yesterday's LAX game. I forget to put them on the blog for the non facebook folks.
Okay, DANAMO, so you'll be able to settle in at the campground, unhitch and meet me somewhere, it sounds like. That will give us more options as to where to meet. Looking forward to those pics of the LAX game !
Nope it's Shep ! Messing around with the rail and/or a fish at the 6 spot. Now he looks them over and decides to settle down for brooding. He's getting that action down pat !
He moved to 12, looked a fish over and then decided to settle back down over the chicks. Still thinking about feeding, but apparently afraid to try ! Color arrives !
Somewhat relieved as I can now see the dark outline of the Columbus sycamore tree and the nest which appears to be in tact. Too dark to see if there is an eagle there.
Since I'm talking to myself, I'm thinking #1 should be Sweetie Pi, as he/she hatched on Pi day. #2 should be Sunny, because he/she brought such a ray of sunshine into our lives ! I love this family !
Belle is making sure both get their share. They seem to be on a par with each other so far--neither of them showing dominance or the bully tendancy so often seen with eaglets.
Thanks for reporting Kay. It is a blessing that one is not dominating the other. I don't think that has ever happened when we've had more than one eaglet.
KAY, glad you were spared the severe weather but sounds like it came really close!! Scary!! Thanks for the nest reports this AM. So Shep was in and still didn't feed the chicks! Hmmm!
I've got things to run off before the kids come in and I swear, I am not going to be a slouch today! I was just so anxious to see the hatchings last week.
I think someone mentioned naming #1Einstein as it hatched on Albert's birthday. SHARON mentioned Nila and I understand the sentiment, but we didn't know her as a Momster. Will there be a service in celebration of her life there in Bluefield ? Thinking of SHARON a lot as she mourns her loss.
Forgive all my spelling and puncuation errors this morning ! I'm on strong meds. Hope to be off painkillers by Friday or Saturday ! Then what will I use for an excuse ? Time will tell--I'll think of something ! ☺
Jumping back in, even though the kids are here and i shouldn't be! I'm SO bad! I REALLY like LYNNE2's idea for a name for one of the chicks - BERT (from the name LiBERTy). I also like either Einstein (my idea) or Sweetie Pi!
Good morning everyone! Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes over on FB. Haven't had a chance to read the blog yet. Work just takes up too much of my time. Got to see Belle feeding BOTH of the babies this morning and she made sure the little one got to eat. Have a great day my friends. I will be lurking. Love and hugs.
Thank whoever had the idea to get the present for Lynn and for those who delivered it. I'm so glad it will make her life easier when communicating and watching the nest with us.
GM eagle buddies. I haven't even read back but I am excited that my cam actually restarted and I got to see Belle gone, the poop shoot by an eaglet, Bell returning with flugg, Shep bringing yet another fish and Belle back down on the babes.

Is that Belle grabbing a bite to eat ? Nice view of the very active chicks !
Yes, Kay, we should leave Hagerstown by noon, which would put us in Columbus around 5 ish.
Nope it's Shep ! Messing around with the rail and/or a fish at the 6 spot. Now he looks them over and decides to settle down for brooding. He's getting that action down pat !
We'll talk more about the logistics when the time comes and via e-mail. I'm getting excited and we just have to make it work this time, DANAMO ! ☺
I hear a train in the distance at the nest. Love that sound.
SHARON, I like the sound of your Train, too ! What services are planned for Nila ?
LORI must be very busy today, but it's comforting to hear her voice on WashFM !
Shep up and off the nest cup again. Picking around at flugg. Seems restless today. Now eating one of the old fish pieces.
Both chicks looking up and out. "Hey, Dad, we're here, what about somethin' to eat ?"
He moved to 12, looked a fish over and then decided to settle back down over the chicks. Still thinking about feeding, but apparently afraid to try ! Color arrives !
I'm sure their crops are full because Belle fed them earlier.
Somewhat relieved as I can now see the dark outline of the Columbus sycamore tree and the nest which appears to be in tact. Too dark to see if there is an eagle there.
Oops, Shep POOFS, leaving the babes alone.
Belle returns and promply begins to feed. Guess they're both happy with the division of labor they've come up with.
What eager, healthy looking eaglets we have !
They've finally gotten their fill and Mom settles down on the cup with her wiggle, jiggle, wiggle ! Sweet !
Okay, I'm tired of talking to myself. Going into lurk mode. Will be back later today, after Julie leaves. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Sharon, condolences for you. Nila is at peace.
Happy Birthday, Bev. Enjoy your dinner at Cracker Barrel.
Kay, do wish you could get past all the pain. Hoping the meds work.
The babes: NC and TC or wait until they show some personality differences?
Wishing all a wonderful day and that Lynn has a very, very good day.
Time for the to go to work again
Thelma, take a huge big breath and blow that stuff around so you can't see it.
See Bev, there's a big fish!
He put in on the stockpile!
Now, THAT is a good sized fish!! Way to be a man Shep!!
Been there done that Judie. : )
Shep is going to nibble at that nice fish...rather dark looking, with a white belly
Sehp Off the launchpad
Maybe we ought to name the little ones One Fish, Two Fish!
Chicks are peeking out!
Ha, one head, one butt!
Good morning all. Hope everyone's day is off to a good start.
Wonderful story, Loretta, about the man in the fire. Very uplifting.
SO glad that Lolly and Andy WILL meet up Friday. WHOO HOO!!
Still on a high here from yesterday, but dragging a bit!
I think Belle needs a housekeeper. She is just too busy with these babies to tidy up the nest.
Belle up off the chicks...feeding from noon spot
Wrastling time
She's offering, but they're not really hungry....Belle eating at the noon spot
She took a couple of bites, now just standing there looking around
One is on top of two's back, getting a better look around...now he's passed out...they both are...Belle off the back to the right
Awesome poop shoot by two
Just covered the babies with fluff!!!
Belle back at the 10 spot, with fluff, putting it around the rim of the cup
Oh-oh...raining here. :(
Shep needs to get a hobby besides fishing! LOL!
GM eagle buddies. I haven't even read back but I am excited that my cam actually restarted and I got to see Belle gone, the poop shoot by an eaglet, Bell returning with flugg, Shep bringing yet another fish and Belle back down on the babes.
Paula-that description is so funny.
I needed me some Hedgie. Good to see you.
