What a sin SHep !!! Come one feed the chicklets!!!Oh thier little voices...it does not happen by Osmosis Shep...if you eat it deos not go to them...feed them Oh almost not quite!!!

paula eagleholic said...

He has taken a couple of bites now....the chick didn't take the piece, probably too big....oh there he goes again...I think his pieces are too big...he comes close to the chick with the food, but don't think he knows to wait longer for them to get it...they are really watching him!

Linda said...

Did he just feed one??

Or did it look like he did??

Mema Jo said...

SHEP I am personally going to clip
your wings if you don't reach over just
a bit and give a bite to your Chicks

HE IS DOING IT

HE IS FEEDING OUT CHICKS

Hoda said...

He gets the small bite but he does not extend his neck enough so they could get it...Oh I think it is a good try do it again ShepI think he is doing it...By God I think he is doing it...or did it once any way...here again!!!YEAY SHEP!!!

Linda said...

SHEP IS ACTUALLY FEEDING THE EAGLETS!!!!!

paula eagleholic said...

OH he's doing it! Yay Shep!!

paula eagleholic said...

Not sure how much they are actually getting, but he gets it now!

Linda said...

The little one just grabbed it out of Shep's beak!! LOL

paula eagleholic said...

Oh yeah, that was a bite!

Mema Jo said...

SHEP IS FEEDING HIS CHICKS

Linda said...

Maybe Shep just had to wait until they were a little bigger!!

Some men are downright afraid of little babies!!

Those eaglets have done some serious moving!!

Hoda said...

It must have been Mema Jo saying she will personally clip his wings if he does not reach out a bit further to feed them!!! WAY TO GO JO!!! That did it!!!LOL

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Shep is feeding the babies now! Way to go Dad!!! WooHoo!! Way to be a man!!

Lolly said...

OMG Shep is feeding!!!!!!! Also, eaglets are out of the cup!!!! OMG!

Lolly said...

What a man!!!! Wahooooo!

Linda said...

Sissy - there is one of your birthday gifts!!! Shep was holding out until YOUR special day!

Lolly said...

Guess you have taken a picture of this momentous occasion!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Put those babies back in that cup right now!! Belle is gonna be mad about that!

Kay said...

What a beautiful thing ! Shep is probably going to overboard now that he "gets it"---he'll be trying to feed them even when they aren't hungry. LOL

Lolly said...

Oh, they are so cute!! Look at them say6ing "Dad, I want some!"

Mema Jo said...

Judy went to work
Paula you can't tape at work or can you

WOW is aware of our wonderful event &
I hope they get the video

THIS IS SOOOOOOOO REWARDING TO WATCH

GOD TAKES CARE OF US AND ALL THE
LITTLE BIRDIES ♥

Lolly said...

Where did that 6 come from? LOL

paula eagleholic said...

#1 getting most of it...he's about out of that cup....#1 pecked #2, but 2 is still in the games....oh 2 just moved away again

paula eagleholic said...

Here comes 2 again...

Lolly said...

One little one has returned to the cup. The other is still chowing. I am loving this!

Mema Jo said...

You better Share, Dad

Lolly said...

They are certainly strong!

paula eagleholic said...

I got tape! Can't process it till later, tho.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Okay, he has them tucked back in. I guess it is okay. Whew!

Lolly said...

Whoop! Our weather radio just went off. We are under a tornado watch. Not sunny but still bright here.

Lolly said...

Yea, Paula. Glad you got a video. Those that missed it will certainly want to see and celebrate!

Mema Jo said...

ROFLMBO I think it all actually
started when Shep had a beakful &
leaned in a little to much and chick #1
just popped up and grabbed it....Then
Shep got the idea of what rearing chicks
is all about.........

This is so wonderful
Hope he doesn't give up fishing.... lol

Lolly said...

And what a nice fresh fish that is, too. Who brought it in?

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

If they don't get rid of some of that fish, they are not gonna have room for the babies.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Tom and Sharon are at the vet with Mopsy. Such a hard time for her. The most loving thing we can do but the hardest.

Mema Jo said...

Yes Lolly, without the video nobody
would believe us! lol

Hoda said...

Thanks PAULA for the tape...I have not seen anyone else with a tape of this happening yet...big day...good thing...

Mema Jo said...

I think fresh flugg is used to cover
the fish..... I can't remember Belle or
Lib actually removing any debris...

Lolly said...

Jo, I really do think it was your threat! LOL Thanks for speaking so clearly to Shep. Tough love!

Mema Jo said...

What an "Afternoon Delight"

Personally I would love some
Rita's Ice

I am getting a hair cut around
5 today.

Taking a break

Lolly said...

RS Hawks remove debris. We found it all over our yard, but most of it in one particular area. We found fish heads, turtle shells, (yes, Jo!) and snake skeletons.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Her appointment was at 3:30.

Lolly said...

I am so glad that Tom went with Sharon. Good on him! (((Hugs))) for Sharon. Cheer her up a little, Bev, with the news of Shep feeding the little ones.

Hoda said...

PAULA when you post your video I will take it on to WOW...I wrote them a note that you got the happening...GREAT GOING...Thank you.

Hoda said...

BEV, Candle lit for SHARON and MOPSY so she could have an easy trip to Rainbow Bridge.Glad Tom went with her.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Sharon and Tom are on the way home.

Sandi said...

How terrific to read that Shep finally fed the chicklets!! Now, if he obsesses about feeding the same way he seemed to obsess about mating and now about bringing fish to the nest, we will have us the fattest baby eagles in the US of A!

Sorry I didn't get to see it myself - I was on my way home from school. Can't wait to see the video, PAULA!

Thinking of SHARON right now.♥ Such a hard decision to make but good that she knew it was the right time.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Thanks Hoda! That was sweet.

Hoda said...

The results from NICK'S Shelter will be announced on the 21st of this month...
The Canadian Minister of Finance will bring down the budget on the 29th of March. I think I will like the results from the shelter better thant he results from the Canadian Minister of Finance...He is changing the formula to Old Age Security to balance the budget!!! UGH Old Age Pension can not be touched thank God!!!

Hoda said...

SQUIIIIIIIIIICHHHH!!! Oh the poor little chicklets!!!Peeka booo!!!

Lori O. said...

The biggest hugs, SHARON. You've had sucha rough few days losing Nila and now Mopsie. I'm sending you good thoughts and prayers for comfort.

Lori O. said...

Good afternoon all!

Dang, I missed SHEP feeding the eaglets, but I'm so happy to hear it happened and can't wait to see it myself! YAY!

Lolly said...

It is coming at us!

TX Weather

Sandi said...

LORI, I'm sure you're relieved to get good news from the vet about FloBear. Still, I bet you're concerned about the weight loss - that's a lot of weight in a short amount of time! I love having pets and can't imagine not having one but it's so hard to see them aging and slowing down. Toady is Bandit's 14th birthday and I told Dennis, just last night, that I suspect this will be his last.

Lolly said...

Andy is just a little ne of Denton. We are just off I35 in the county below Ft. Worth. We are watching the weather carefully!

Red said...

I'm lurking. So glad to hear Shep is feeding the kids now.

Lolly said...

Well, you never know! The vet gave us a dire prognosis on Annie almost 2 years ago. We selected not to give her meds. She is doing great!

Robyn said...

It is about time Shep fed the eaglets, I honestly didn;t think he was going to get it this season.

On another note Tori is expected to leave rehab the 30th and continue with outpatient at home 3 days a week.

Sharon my heart goes out to you we had to put our boy Scooby down last May and though it still hurts, he doesn't anymore.

Lolly said...

Robyn, that is such exciting news. So happy for Tori and for you!

hedgie said...

Shelly is gone, and I am relaxed and mellow. Gotta get past the splt to see what you all are up to!

paula eagleholic said...

Shep up..oh they were hiding a fish back there...where is the egg cup? It's indistinguishable ??(sp)??

Hoda said...

ROBYN this is such exciting news and a real miracle rather...what strength your TORI has and what blessings you all know...

OH OH!!! Shep backs off to teh railing at eleven and takes to wing...Chicks unattended

paula eagleholic said...

Shep poofed

Sandi said...

Shep just poofed! Babies unattended!

floralgirl said...

How cool Shep finally fed the chicks.
And that is really great news about Tori, Robyn!

hedgie said...

I thought it looked like Shep was getting ready to try earlier. Hurray! SO gald he's finally getting the hang of it. Belle, in all her wisdom, is making him learn by trial and error. Now babes are alone.

Charlie is home, and Caro is back put getting meds filled and picking up grosseries.

Oh, Sissy, I am so grateful to TOm for going with Sharon. Please give her hugs from me when they get back. Will she bury Mopsy in the yard?

Sandi said...

And Shep is back!

Hoda said...

I don't like this one little bit...oh here he is...I was going to call on JO and her eagle cane!!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Tom and Chris buried Mopsy out by the fence outside of Sharon's window where she works. We will plant some wildflowers there when the weather permits.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I am home. Thanks everyone for the love and hugs.

It was so peaceful. They shaved her arm and she didn't flinch. When they put the needle in, she didn't flinch. Her heart stopped really quick and there was no struggle. I was holding her head in my hands. She was really ready. Me, not so much. I know that was the most loving thing I could do but I am a selfish person sometimes. She was definitely hopelessly devoted to me for a long time.

She is buried directly across from where my office is. I am going to plant some wildflowers over her!

hedgie said...

Be safe, Lolly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shelter in the tub!

Sandi said...

ROBYN, what wonderful news about TORI - truly a miracle!

LYNN, thanks for the news that Charlie is home from the hospital! BTW, you commented earlier about losing the cam. I've had a lot of trouble with the cam timing out on me today. Have had to refresh a lot more than usual!

hedgie said...

Hi, Red! What's for dinner?

Robyn, wonderful news! 10 days---YIPPEE!!!!!

hedgie said...

Well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Sandi's Bandit!

Hoda said...

LYNN so good to read that you had a good healing treatment...so lucky to have a good healer...you are getting the best of both the western medicine world and alternative medicine world...

SHEP is eating and took the freshest fish further away from teh chicklets...they are looking at himone the littlest one is sayng me too before bro gets up!!!

Hoda said...

Good on him he is feeding again...this is a very good sign.

Sandi said...

Hard to tell for sure but I think Shep was trying to feed the chicks again!

floralgirl said...

That is so cute, he's so hesitant, and then the chicks just grab it from him.

hedgie said...

Sandi, I lost the cam site on the KIndle. No problem on laptop except for the occassional need to restart. Currently at 4:49 since last restart!

Oh, Sharon, so good t hat it was a peaceful passing for Mopsy. Sounds like an ideal place for her grave. Lots of love and hugs coming at you. (((XOXO)))

Mema Jo said...

Off to get my do done BBL

Lynne2 said...

stronghunter said...

stronghunter said...

Robyn said...

I am still amazed with the amount of food in the nest, I can't remember it ever being that full lol

With how everything is going with Tori she may be joining us for the nest lunch, with mom and dad in town they will also.

stronghunter said...

In a few weeks they will poof along with him. Not yet.

Linda said...

Oh, Robyn that would be so great!!

Amazing that she will be hope by the end of the month, too!!

Go Tori!!!

stronghunter said...

Shep is a good fisherman.

hedgie said...

Raining lightly here again. 68°.

Lori O. said...

Robyn, bet you're so excited that you are seeing the end of the tunnel and long, long hospital stays! HooRay for Tori!

Happy 14th Birthday to Bandit!

Happy 53rd to SISSY/BEV!

LYNN, hope you're loving your KindleFire. It's exciting just hearing you talk about it. Best of all, glad you're feeling up to using it!

Linda said...

SHEP LANDS AT 3 WITH ANOTHER FISH!

paula eagleholic said...

Can't get this stupid computer to get the live feed again...thanks for the commentary! Nice to know Shep fed them again! I'll make a video of his first feeding when I get home tonight!

Linda said...

Belle still feeding chicks...

A good long feeding...

DanaMo said...

Busy, busy these days! I miss checking in and chatting.

Lori O. said...

Look at Belle trying to patiently to ignore #1 and get the food into #2's mouth.

DanaMo said...

Those babies are so stinking cute!!1

paula eagleholic said...

When there is not enough room in the nest for the chicks, then there will be too much fish....I will not deny him that!

Linda said...

She has such patience to wait for just the right angle and just the right piece size. She patiently tries and tries again till the little one finally gets the piece.

Beautiful to watch...

Hoda said...

My Heavens where are they putting it all...Belle has been feeding for a LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGG time. They are still eating...this is good.

Linda said...

Done feeding...

Now to get this nest back in order...

Lori O. said...

What a wonderful, wonderful mother she is.

Sandi said...

There was some definite sibling rivalry there! #1 sure is feisty - how about Alpha and Beta, or maybe Alpha and Bit! Wonderful to watch both get plenty to eat and to watch Belle's patience with feeding them.

glo said...

well it was nice UNTIL I tried to blog anyway. Geesh

hedgie said...

This is what I was saying when we bloggers were so rudely interrupted at 5:47:

Raining hard here now...ugh!

Lolly said...

We have had about an inch of rain here at our house. Most of the serve stuff went north of us. Have been hearing lots of thunder. Tornado down near San Antonio. Have not heard of any in our area.

Well I am certainly glad we are back on...missed you all so very much.
I went to yoga and then went to a Kootenay Co-op meeting, that would be my health food store...we are purchasing a building which is costing us 3.5 million dollars and then renovations and redevelopment will cost another 3.5 million dollars so we are all very excited and can we afford it. There was a resolution that needed a vote and it passed.

Oh, ROBYN, it would be wonderful if TORI could come to the OPEN HOUSE/ NEST VISIT with us. Would be great to finally meet BOBBI! (and Ted)

Hi, Gang!

Whooee, I haven't seen rain like this since I lived in Utah as a kid! It's pouring outside right now--I have my laptop on battery, not plugged in. Lots of awesome thunder and lightning.

Jen, Kubby, Sierra and I went to Courtney's Tumbling lesson tonight--Wow! She is doing some crazy backflips with twists and really impressing us with her talent! She's made the JV Cheer Squad, also! She's working well on the trampoline, too. After practice, the rain let loose, and we drove through some serious heavy rain to get home. Thankfully, not a long drive. Had a tornado watch here, too, but just strong winds and heavy, heavy rain. Got a bit of small hail once we got back to the house. Has been pouring, with T & L, ever since.

Want to wish Bev/Sissy a somewhat belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Love & (HUGS)!!!

Sharon, so very sorry about Mopsy. You did the right thing, though.
I know how very hard that is to do, but it is an act of love. My heart goes out to you. ((HUGS))!!

Well, the rain seems to be letting up a bit, so I think I'm going to try to get some shut-eye. Have said prayers for everyone, especially Lynn, Sharon, Charlie, Tori, and all those needing healing. Lolly, hope you and Jack are still staying afloat! Can't wait for Friday!

Making sure the porch light is lit, and enabling the security systems. Sleep well, all. God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you! :o]
P.S.--Sis-in-law visited Emma at puppy camp, and reports that she is doing great! She was happy to see a familiar face, and in good spirits. They are treating her very well. We miss her SO much, though!

Lori O. said...

YAY, the blog is back!!!

Lori O. said...

Andy, glad you're having such a great time...and Emma is, too!

LOLLY, good thing you missed the storms and you're safe!

Prayers today for Lynn, Kay, Sharon and Charlie...hope you are all feeling better very soon!

Hoda said...

Good morning LORI...I have not even thought of going to bed yet!!! Yikes and you are already on for the morning...WOW...I went to yoga and a meeting and got home at 9:30 PM my time and no sign of sleep!!!

Hoda said...

I do not think the blog is 100% yet...it does not post the posts right away...oh my!!!

Sandi said...

Morning Lori & DMo! Happy spring back atcha, Lori!! Glad to see the blog is fixed - catching up will be easy this morning!

Sandi said...

WOW - just got the phone call that I have a 2 hour fog delay today!! Think I'll catch up from last night, feed the dogs, and head back to bed for a bit!! Wish the call had come before I even got out of bed!

Lori O. said...

YAY for your fog delay, Sandi! Hope DanaMo gets one, too. :)

DanaMo said...

To quote Dr. Seuss, "We are here, we are here, we are here, we are here"!

Good morning. That is what came to mind when I saw the blog was back up and running.I went to bed before we were back on. Like Sandi I decided on a bath and bed, with a book (Kindle) and beer! LOL! Boy have I been worn out lately. I can't wait for Spring/Easter break.

DanaMo said...

Okay I just counted and I think there are 54 days left of school.

And no Lori, unfortunately, we have never gotten a fog delay.

DanaMo said...

Make that 48 I forgot to take Spring break out of the count!

Sandi said...

DMo, you made me do it - 56 school days left for me! June 11th is the last day for kids and the 13th for teachers. But right now I'm focused on 13 days til spring break (we have off the week after Easter). DMo, is your spring break as long as your Christmas one was?

Jewels said...

Yea, I see we are posting again!! I am so glad that they got that fixed. Too many withdrawals for many of you I am sure.
Trying to get kids up school. I hate this job. At 13 & 17 you would think they would get up on their own. I did.
Robyn, I am so happy to hear that Tori is going to get to come home!!!! I cannot wait to meet you all.

Sandi said...

Back to bed for me - hope I can fall back to sleep! TTFN!
