Checking in from school! I logged onto the Decorah site this AM for my students to watch for a few minutes and the eggs were uncovered and nest was MT! Stayed that way for over 5 minutes. During that time, I heard lots of eagle calling and wing flapping off camera, as well as the calls from another bird that wasn't an eagle. Eventually mom returned and settled on the 2 eggs. Sure sounded like they may have been having intruder problems as well!

Kids just went to "specials" all seems pretty quiet at the nest. Our countdown is at 17 with a due date around March 9th. I think I went with 35 days so the kids know it can be anytime around that date.

What do you think, Shirley??? I heard some strange calls. It was crows and not Shep, right? Just look at him!!! So protective!!
I think maybe crows, Lolly. Shep was definitely upset. I guess his tail feathers are twisted now. Looks odd.
