THANKS STEVE FOR THE NEW THREAD. I HOPE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE RELAXED AND JOYFUL THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON

Hoda said...

I think Steve is expecting us to be chatty this weekend...WEEKEND THREAD 1 he says...LOL... THANKS STEVE...

Hoda said...

OK I am off to yoga...see you all later...not sure if I will be back in time for the afternoon visit...I hope so though...

Lori O. said...

Thanks Steve for the new weekend thread!

Thank you, Hoda, for the call over!

HODA, may you have a flexible and fun time at yoga!

Lynn, praying for you and your PET Scan this afternoon at 5. A {{{Big Hug}}} Does the waiting drive you crazy?

hedgie said...

Okay...I'm back. Bill is done...as best as he could do since the stupid deck on the mower came loose, and he could only get one pin back in. Luckily he was basically finished when it happened.

Wanda, a PET is like an MRI but uses radioactive injection which causes tumors and areas of inflammation to pick up sugar and they light up on the images.

Linda, know that I am thinking of you today and holding you and your family in prayer. I'm sure the service will be lovely. I know your Mom will be watching that boat parade with you. I haven't seen that, but I have seen the regattas on the waterway as well as the Indian River when my uncle was alive and participated with his yachting club (known as Saints and Sinners!!!) A wonderful spectacle......and there is nothing more peaceful than the water. It will restore you, I'm sure.

Hoda, thank you for coming with me this evening!! I'll enjoy the company. My iPod earbuds are missing---so I can't listen to music during the test---will just hear that dumb clunking noise!

Really a shame about the baked goods theft....MArgy has a good persepctive.....but it is still so wrong. :(

JudyE, yep, we've been keeping track of NX....and the other new admissions to WCV.

DanaMo said...

Thanks for the new thread Steve.

hedgie said...

Wanda, I'm ROFL over your box of garbage!!! Sure served those thieves right!!! I hope it was stinky, too!!!
You can always SUGGEST a name for th enew baby!!!

hedgie said...

Hoda, Bill is my very bestest friend.....has been for 20 yrs. Was my beau for about 13 of those.....but "life" interfered....it it what it is, but I am blessed to have him, for sure.

hedgie said...

Duh, Judy......never thought about messaging Geula on FB! Will do that!

Church Fart

This says it all...about getting older &

the whole aging thing.

An elderly couple are attending church services... About halfway through, she writes a note and hands it to her husband.

It says, "I just let out a silent fart. What do you think I should do?"

He scribbles back, "Put a new battery in your hearing aid."

DanaMo said...

Having trouble with my picture blog. Trying to add pictures of the dog Christmas photo shoot. My avatar is one of the pictures.

hedgie said...

Have heard that one, Paula! Funny!!

hedgie said...

DanaMo----I love the picture!!!!!! Good job!

Lori O. said...

RoTFLMBO!!! Paula, that is sooo funny!

DanaMo said...

Got it to work, my bad. Something changed from the last time I posted. Anyway they are on there, I have accomplished my only goal for the day! LOL!

I think when Aric comes home I will get the kids to pose the same way and take their picture and that will be my card this year!

DanaMo said...

Very funny! Love it!

Lori O. said...

Very, very cute, DMo! I don't know how you got them all to behave and sit so well.

hedgie said...

Argh---can't remember if a bra is allowed or not....they did say loose clothing. Guess I;ll go without. Hope no one notices through sweatshirt and coat!

Shutting down. See you all this evening sometime.

Lori O. said...

EAGLE IN THE NEST!

Lolly said...

DanaMo, love the picture of the dogs. Too cute!

Lori O. said...

DIDN'T SEE IT COME IN.

I DO SEE BLOOD AND IT IS EATING SOMETHING.

Lolly said...

Eagle!!!!!!!

Lolly said...

Chowing down on something red...for sure!

Lolly said...

I think that is Belle.

Lolly said...

Love it when they start coming to the nest to eat!

Lori O. said...

I THINK IT'S BELLE, TOO.

GREAT. NOW, SHE'LL HAVE A REALLY MESSY, DIRTY HEAD!

PattiO said...

WooHoo ... looks like Belle in with a meal!

Lolly said...

Times like this I wish the color was not so true! LOL

Lori O. said...

LOL, Lolly!

Good afternoon, Patty.

PattiO said...

LOL ... well I hope you don't have the Decorah nest on Lolly ... Mom D is having squirrel for dinner as well.

Lori O. said...

Sorry, Patti. I misspelled your name there.

Lori O. said...

EAGLE STAYING STATIONARY EATING SQUIRREL (?). LOOKING AROUND WHEN NOT CHOWING.

WONDER WHERE SHEP IS. YOU WOULD THINK HE WOULD WANT SOME.

PattiO said...

That's OK Lori .. happens all the time! :) Belle seems to be watching something. Maybe Shep is waiting for some.

Lolly said...

I'll be happy when Belle takes a bath and cleans up a bit!

Lolly said...

She is still a beauty! I imagine Shep is very close.

Lolly said...

Still sitting in the nest looking around. Wind is giving her bad feather day!

Lori O. said...

MAYBE SHE IS FULL, BUT MORE LIKELY SHEP IS NEAR.

PattiO said...

Mama D isn't full yet, UGH! What a sight. Belle looks beautiful in the sunlight!

Lolly said...

I love the way the sun is shining on her.

Lolly said...

LOL PattiO we had the same thought! I have taken a couple of pics.

Lolly said...

She is still there, looking around. Meal still at her feet.

Lori O. said...

IN VERY BELLE LIKE FASHION, SHE IS JUST STANDING STILL, OVER THE FOOD, LOOKING AROUND.

Mema Jo said...

Happy to see our nest occupied.
Heading out soon for Mass.

Today is Chloe's birthday!!
GD's Bulldog with a Redskin Tug Toy

Happy birthday Chloe!

Lolly said...

She has been in the nest for 20 minutes now.

DanaMo said...

Looks like I missed dinner, but I'm sure glad to see that I still got to see an eagle in the nest!

Need to get moving to go to Mass soon.

Thanks for the compliments on my silly dogs. Honestly we did it in about 10 minutes. Annemarie helped a bit, and I just clicked away and hoped for the best!

Lolly said...

I keep thinking Shep is going to fly in. She certainly is watching intently and not eating.

PattiO said...

Now I'm watching 2 statues standing over their food! lol

Lori O. said...

DANAMO - how does AnneMarie think she did on her test?

Lolly said...

Too funny, PattiO! Isn't it amazing how we can sit and watch them.

Lolly said...

Okay, now have Decorah up, too. Yep, her meal is waaaay too vivid!

Lolly said...

Going to have to leave soon. Need to take Annie to "camp". Oh, she is going to be mad!

DanaMo said...

She doesn't really know...I'm sure she did fine. Just has to be in the 85th percentile to qualify to get in the running for the scholarships. We didn't have these scholarships with Andrew and Aric so this is all new to me. I shouldn't get too hopeful. Not that she couldn't get it, I just can't imagine getting some slack with Goretti tuition. she is the 4th and I would love to get a little help or a lot of help!
She said some of it was easy and other parts were hard. Who knows standardized tests are so hard to tell!

PattiO said...

Hahaha ... told ya! Come on Shep, where are you?!

JudyEddy said...

walk in the door and find a eagle in the nest is always nice

JudyEddy said...

poog

Lori O. said...

BELLE - POOF!

PattiO said...

Awww ... off she goes with her prey.

Lolly said...

Nice long visit. Poof! Left the meal!

Lolly said...

Gross! Decorah eagle was waving her squirrel around.

JudyEddy said...

I got a whole 37 sec video I think it was belle also

JudyEddy said...

Thanks Steve for the new fresh thread we won't know what to do with ourselves LOL

Lori O. said...

Lolly, where are you going that Annie has to go to Camp?

JudyEddy said...

poof not poog

Lolly said...

Did she take her meal? I thought she left it.

PattiO said...

She took it with her. Saw it hanging as she flew off to the left.

Lolly said...

Going to my sister's tomorrow. She lives near Houston. My brother and his wife are coming up from the Valley. We try to get together every year around this time. We used to do Thanksgiving, but had to give that up. We will be coming home Wed.

Lori O. said...

Have a nice time at your sister's home, Lolly! Safe travel wishes for you and Jack.

Sandi said...

Rats! Didn't log onto the blog and post something so follow-up comments would come to my email, which means I got no heads-up that Belle paid a visit! AARGGHH!!!!! Have been sitting right here at the computer writing an IEP for one of my students and updating the website for the community association I am the secretary of. Finally looked at the time and figured I'd check the nest. MT by the time I got on. DanaMo, LOVE the Christmas pic of the 3 dogs!

Lori O. said...

Belle was here for 34 min. this afternoon.

Lori O. said...

Sorry you missed it, Sandi. Hate when that happens like that!

Sandi said...

Last Sat. as it got dark, I saw deer below the nest for the first time. They were walking tentatively like they were wondering if the gunfire was over and it was safe to come out of hiding.

JudyEddy said...

I did get a 37 sec video and 4 pic three are from the video You can see a little bird on the Y branch also in it and I grab a pic of the video of the red meat she was carrying bloody

short visit tonight

JudyEddy said...

Hey do you think that the squirrel is the one I took a picture of this afternoon it was sitting on the edge of the nest as I grabbed a picture of it Silly squirrel

Sandi said...

Thanks for the video Judy. It wasn't until I read an email that someone had posted on WOW that I realized I must have missed a visit. Guessing Belle is gone for the evening. =( But I'll stay tuned in for a bit just in case. I DO feel good about getting the bulk of my IEP written!

JudyEddy said...

Looks like I will miss both the morning and evening visit if they continue to come early But when the season hits they will be around more and I can always go to the cell phone tower I guess and see the one for real

Well I am goining to go eat left overs from last night BBL LM

Kay said...

JUDY, good video and vivid pics ! Thanks to you for those of who missed the visit by just a few minutes !

Hoda said...

Thank you very much for the eagle reporting. PATTIO put some very vivid pictures on the WOW site. THANKS PATTIO.

I hope LYNN'S PET test is done by now...Looking forward to hearing how her experience was when she comes back.
GLAD to hear that BILL is someone close to you LYNN. These relationships are priceless and very precious as you evolve with each other and know the strength of your friendship. You are friends and together not because of obligation but rather because you like each other...

Very good yoga practice with the 20 something group...because it is the full moon we were working on grounding our energy...curious concept to me.The music was loud and I almost asked that it be changed or lowered or something, like turned off, and then I managed to not have it the focus of my attention and it was not an issue a quarter of the way through the practice...I felt good about that...the young ones seem to like the loudish music more than I do...

JudyEddy said...

Boy what a PIA I got the message when I tried to change my avatar that I had no more storage space again like I did a while back and I think someone else just recently got the same message so I went in and deleted a couple of blogs So there blogger cop showed you LOL Ok I am getting ready to start the news so I will catch ya all later maybe

Hoda said...

YAY LYNN is home with Christmas lights and is getting supper...

hedgie said...

JudyE---I have an Acer and so does DanaWV. No particular complaints.......they all have their quirks....and I'm really not sure if it's the puter or the net!!

What is turkey sand, JudyE??
Have never heard of Egg Platter before you mentioned it. SOunds like a cool eatery.

Lori O. said...

Lynn, glad you're home. How did it go - you're obviously hungry!

Hello JudyE. I think there's a few of us out here in Lurk Land. :)

JudyEddy said...

SAND was short for turkey sandwich and Egg Platter is really neat and cheap I bill last nite was 5.69 that was for two scrambled eggs, hash browns smothered in onions, and two biscuits and sausage gravy I know they are all over Fl They just give to much food

JudyEddy said...

thanks for the info on the Acer that is probably what I will get if this goes down again

JudyEddy said...

WOW I just googled Egg Platter and looks like maybe NJ and Fl thats it what a big difference in location I'd say

hedgie said...

Went fine, Lori---except that the trailer was SO cold! Felt like an icicle when I left!

Gotcha, JudyE! DUH! I'm a little slow----frozen brain!!

Hoda said...

LORI gave good advice in regards to being frozen LYNN!!! LOL.
Seriously it iw wonderful that you had a good supper and did you actually pick up your Christmas lights before your appointment?

Mema Jo said...

Sounds like good eating, Lynn
I had a salad and bowl of soup - it was
filling. Let me know how your Berger
cookies taste. I am going to have
Graham Crackers!
Lolly have a very nice visit with your
family and I'm sure Annie will want to
open her present as soon as you return!
Hoda - hope when you came home you took
notice of the brilliant full moon - it
is beautiful.......

Mema Jo said...

I am going to check out the Hallmark
Movie at 8:00

Like NOW

hedgie said...

Yep, Hoda, I did get the lights, and even had time to put gas in the truck.

House IS nice and warm. But I sure do feel a nap coming on!!!

When are you heading out, Lolly? Tomorrow or Monday? Hope you have a safe and fun trip!

Not impressed with the sounds of that Hallmark movie, Jo. I am really not much on comedy. I like the sweet lovey-dovey ones!!

hedgie said...

The moon surely is a beauty tonight! Temp down to 31° but it feels much colder than that. Wind seems to have died down a lot.

Hoda said...

JO I just now went and looked at the moon snd it is stunning and breath taking you are right...All the yoga poses for the moon was well worth it...LOL

LYNN now the next stop is Monday for the blood work as a marker...am I right? What time is that and who will go with you? Am I right in thinking that the radiation treatment starts on Monday also? How many treatments and how often do you go? I guess it depends on what the PET exam showed am I right?
PRAYERS PRAYERS PRAYERS.

Thinking of LINDA and hope thew ceremony to honour her MOM'S life brought her a sense of love and comfort.

Thinking of LYNNE 2 and missing her a great deal. There were two pictures of her on Face Book posted 19 hours ago...

I see Geula wrote on email and JO now has her email address. Thias is good news.

I vacuumed inside of the car and cleaned all the sand and fine pebbles I track in from the streets this time of year...

PAULA is out at a Birthday Party. She posted a wonderful video of a dog rescue on Facebook. Thanks PAULA.

Hoda said...

I have not read a post from CAROLEANNE for a few days now...I hope she too is doing alright.

Lolly said...

Glad you are home, Lynn and that all went well. Warm up now!

Judy, I see what you mean that it looks like a shadow of an eagle on the nest. Have not see it move!

We leave in the morning. Suitcase is packed, presents are wrapped, I made cheese logs, and Jack is making Trash. (Chex Party Mix)

The nest is well lit, looks great! Think I heard a fox or something just a little while ago.

Lolly said...

Can not see the moon here as it is cloudy. However, when we were coming home from taking Annie, I pointed out to Jack the moon trying to shine through the clouds.

Lynne2 said...

Did someone say BERGER COOKIES???

Lolly said...

Aaaaaaaaaa! It is Lynne!!!!

Lolly said...

Hey there, Girl!! What's up?

Hoda said...

It is a beautiful moon LOLLY. Drive safely tomorrow. Am I right in understanding you will not be back before Wednesday?
ANNIE will be happy to see you...will you be able to check in with the blog while you are gone? Safe travels.
it is very beautiful at the nest also...I do not think it is an eagle reflection we are seeing though...

Hoda said...

LYNNE2 What's happening????
BERGER COOKIES BERGER COOKIES BERGER COOKIES,
PLEASE ANSWER.
Over and out.....

Lolly said...

I do not think it is an eagle shadow either, but it looks like it!

I am not taking my computer. Sharon has a computer but I may not get on. So, no, probably won't hear from me except maybe by my iphone. Going to busy talking!!!

Lynne2 said...

Evening all!

Hope you've warmed up from your PET scan Popsicle adventure Lynn! Hope they don't keep you waiting too long for results!

DanaMo, I must know what you did to the dogs to make them sit so well for that great picture!

Save and fun travels Lolly!

We have been cleaning and dragging out Christmas stuff today. Yesterday we had a half day of work and then our Christmas lunch/party. Great fun!

Lolly said...

Tomorrow evening we are going to my niece's. She and her hubby are preparing fajitas for dinner. Tuesday we are going to my great nephews basketball game.

Lynne2 said...

We just came in from a walk with the dogs out in the very bright FROST/LONG NIGHT/BITTER Full Moon. Chilly but wonderful out there!

Lolly said...

Shadow does not look so much like an eagle now. You can see the deer leg clearly.

hedgie said...

Hoda, meet with the radiologist Monday at 10, and then get the bloodwork done.
I don't know if Christie will meet me there or not. I am starting to have very severe misgivings and doubts about the radiation. It is usually 5 days a week for 6 weeks. I just don't think I can do it. Too hard getting myself out and about every day, and worrying about weather forecasts for half the winter ( I would ALWAYS be on edge and would probably give myself an ulcer over it), not to mention the cost of the gas........we shall see.......

Hoda said...

It sounds GREAT LYNNE. Were the pictures on Facebook from your Christmas party? How many days off do you have for Christmas and are you going to travel to the in-laws or are you staying home?

Lynne2 said...

I was also thinking of Linda today...hope the service for her mother was a good one. I 'm sure it was. Glad she'll be able to get back to her Dubby soon.

Lynne2 said...

Yes Hoda, they were from the party. I'll post more soon. Those of myself were taken by my coworker. There is a story behind the "disguise"! more on that later.

We don't have any days off for Christmas since it's on a Sunday and we are closed Sat and Sun anyway. We'd have been off on Monday if the Vet ER was going to be open that day, but they are not, so we will work. Of course, I'm off on Mondays usually, but may be working that Monday IF we don't go to my In-laws for Christmas. That will ber a last minute decision based on what the weather has in store.

Lynne2 said...

Our first Christmas in 09 the weather was terrible there so we stayed home. Last year, it was SUPPOSED to be bad so we stayed home and then it wasn't so bad after all. UGH!

Lynne2 said...

Oh Lynn, I can totally see your point on trying to get up and out and weather worries every day. You know we'll all be praying for the right answers for you. (((HUG))

Good Evening Eagle Buds.
Looked out the window at work about 5 pm & saw something orangey-gold on the front horizon. Figured it was a decorated tree on church property over there. Then, through the branches, saw it was the huge beachball MOON!!!! No camera, but not a real clear shot. When I got home, was up and white.

DanaMo, love your doggy pics! Who good were they to pose??!!
Lynn, hope you leaRN LOTS ABOUT FURTHER TREATMENT ON mONDAY. wHAT A GREAT HIGHLIGHTING TEST! Daggum, capslock! I have some sayings printed and on my kitchen cabinet since the BR CA days. One was by my Swedish MIL~~She said, "Life is beautiful if ve yust don't veaken!"

OK, off to pick out some more decorations to put out. This would be so much easier without cats, and without Puddles' obsession with thinking everything is a toy she has to have.....LOL!

stronghunter said...

Hi,

Home from a rousing game of bingo. Won $33.00, but did not break even this time. It was good to be back at our regular place.

Cold tonight. We are enjoying a fire in the fireplace.

Haven't had time to read back yet.

Did get my door frame painted this afternoon. I think the paint has dried okay, even though it was cold.

stronghunter said...

George tried to get himself a squirrel today. I let him stay in the backyard and noticed that he was watching something, so I watched him. All of a sudden he took off running across the yard full speed.

When I saw the squirrel, it was on the other side of the fence, and poor George was defeated. He sat there for a long time studying the situation.

Okay, we have two dogs that don't chase squirrels and a cat who does. I always knew George thought he was a dog. Just glad that he didn't catch it!

Lolly said...

Annie stares at sqirrels and hunches down like she is going to leap but I think she knows it is useless.

Lolly said...

My nails are done. Having a G&T. STARS hockey has just started. Jack is going to be up late, I won't!

stronghunter said...

Hmm, everyone must be very busy tonight.

I am stopping by to say good night. I will see you tomorrow. Rest well, my friends.

stronghunter said...

Good night, Lolly.

Lolly said...

Nite Shirley! Glad you enjoyed your Bingo tonight.

hedgie said...

Oh, Loretta, that's a great motto! Your MIL was a wise lady.

Shirley, glad that you had fun at Bingo!
Silly George.....he must not realize that he could probably scale the fence! Hope he DOESN'T find out!!!

stronghunter said...

He was back next to the chain link fence and looking up at the top. Lord only knows if he will try to jump that high. Or find a tree to climb.

I guess he could see the squirrel. I am going to have a problem if he goes up a tree after a squirrel.

He will find out that the squirrel can easily jump to another tree and he can't.

hedgie said...

Lynne....your FB posts are not coming through to me......don't understand why.....any suggestions?? Looks like you all have quite a large staff at Manchester!

stronghunter said...

Good night, Lynn.

hedgie said...

LOL, Shirley....squirrels aren't so lucky with eagles!!!! DON'T look at Judy's pics if you have a squirrely tummy!

Hope everything is okay with Margy...imagine she went to see James after work. And so great that neither she or Carolyn were working this evening.......it's been a real mess of wrecks on the interstate...all pretty much within a mile of each other: at least 4 that I've heard! Multiple vehicles in all it sounded like. Yikes!

Hoping that Diann is getting pain relief. I, too, wonder what CarolAnne is up to out there in the cold of Wisconsin.
Imagine that Andy will bring up the rear later. And poor Judie is still grading exams and paper, I fear.

Jo must have gotten lost in that Hallmark movie!

hedgie said...

Goodnight, Shirley and Lolly!

hedgie said...

26° here now. Need some cloud cover!!!

hedgie said...

Tub time for me. Will check back after. If anyone else turns in, good night! Prayers said for all.

I hope that Linda sleeps the sleep of a sweet child tonight. God bless her at this difficult time.

Meant to say I got to see some of Celtic Women. They are great especially since there isn't much step dancing going on lately. Wonder what's up w/Michael Flatley! He had a wonderful Irish brogue being born in Chicago!!☺
Yikes, looks like most are hitting the hay! I just got a second wind & started deep cleaning some furniture/knick knacks in dining room/living room. They should be a museum! Have a cabinet under kitty windowsill. Made an upholstery fabric cover for the top~~see it needs duct tape for furs!! Can't wash it, don't think. Maybe I'll get to go downstairs and do more wrapping if the animals start snoozing. All that's done is locked in the bathroom! No shredding of bows/ribbons allowed. Maybe I should bring in a squirrel to keep them busy! LOL
Prayers for ALL & Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)

roflmbo Wanda...I do not think you are ahead! I think you have been annointed with something!!!

Got lost in cyber space doing a little shopping for Zacharooski. I have asked and asked for suggestions and get nothing. I have ordered one thing and now have another idea. Will run that past them tomorrow on the phone while we travel. I do not like waiting til the last minute. Oh, well! Can not get him clothes. They buy the best in fashion. la te da! He does not play with toys! He needs toys that help with motor skills and sensory. Ordered one sensory toy and thinking about a scooter. Hmmmm??

Do not know if I will have time to get on in the morning or not. So, I will say....see ya Wed. (I will probably get on with iphone)

Night all! Sweet dreams!♥

Good Night from the Caboose...

Hope all are warm and cozy by now...
especially Lynn and Liesl
Have read your updates, Lynn, praying for treatment decisions that suit you to a "T"

Moon so bright, there are branch shadows on the nest....

great, I have a chirping smoke detector battery and no replacement batteries :(
will just have to sleep through the chirps...but am sure an alarm would still ring through, THAT would wake me up, I know

but I am also hearing some animal or bird sounds occasionally from the live feed, just not sure what they are

Did stay late up at James's - we went to see "Puss In Boots," a fun movie and a great way to spend the evening with the grandson

Never too tired to take prayers to bed with me....if I fall asleep saying them, I'll continue first thing in the morning

Good Night, Precious Pals
Happy Trails, Lolly and Jack Enjoy your family time

God Bless This Nest, and
God Bless Us, Every One

xoxo ♥

Good Morning!

It's cold out there this morning!
I've been up for about an hour and comtemplating several projects that could be done today...hmmmm.

Linda, I hope you'll get to check in today and tell us about your Mom's service. I bet the boat parade last night was beautiful, in many ways.

LYNNE! So great to hear from you. I thought you must be swamped with work. Glad to hear you're getting your decorating done in spite of your little helpers. I know that feeling!

Have a great time and a safe trip, LOLLY. Hope you can sneak on a few times. I'm sure Annie misses you already, but I know you've said they are very good to her at camp.

Lori O. said...

KAY, how was your evening with Seth? Did Malcolm get to stay, too?

LYNN, You know yourself well...which means whatever decision you make, for radiation or not, will be the right one for you.

JudyE, thanks for the squirrel video with Belle, though I didn't watch it. It was enough to see it as it happened...that was one red meat squirrel. Hope Belle has low cholesterol. :)

DanaMo said...

Good morning! I don't know if I am all caught up on the blog, but I'll give it a try here.
Kay-glad you had a good evening with Seth. Such special times for sure.
Lolly-I like a list, I cannot shop for other people without a list especially kids. Once your own kids are out of all the "toys" it's hard to know what's in out and what's a good buy! Good luck. I forget, how old is Zach?
JudyE-The Christmas dog pictures are on FB, did you see them there?
Lynn-I was going to ask about your PET scan but I see it was okay, a little cold it sounds like. This is a tough time of year to deal with having to go out and drive every day not knowing what the weather is going to be like. Praying for you to make the decision that you need to make. I always pray "Thy will be done" because no matter what we pray for, what we may want, it's Gods will for us in all situations.

Lori-are you here?

Lori O. said...

Very much agree, DMo, with "Thy will be done." Somehow it always works out for the best if we concentrate on His will...tough as it may be sometimes.

DanaMo said...

It is always tough! What we want or need isn't always the right thing for us!

I just placed my order for my Christmas cards. I actually think I am earlier this year than last. Every since I started working things just get put on the back burner.

Good Morning all eagle buds and LORI the video doesn't show much can't see the bloody think only when I slow motioned it on my camera so you will be safe I am sure I know I didn't know it was there till I read back and read that there was a piece of meat I had to go a so mo the video and then I saw it

DANAmo I did see the pictures after I sent you the friend request and thanks for accepting my request and I am going to share them to my daughter they are just the cutest pictures I love it and I still think you should enter them in some kind of contest

DanaMo said...

JudyE-good point about the shuttle. I think our cancer center does that as well. Definitely something to look into. There are probably numerous agencies that provide such a service.

As for getting out of bed each day, well that one is all on you Hedgie! ☺

DanaMo said...

I sent one into Dog Fancy a couple of years ago and it was published. Not a contest, but they have a page called "three words" you send a picture in, and the caption is 3 words. I will post it to my blog it is very cute too!

JudyEddy said...

I need to run something by you all to see if its just me or not
I live in Pinellas Park and Angies last nite post pictures where she whet to the Christmas Parade with his family the IL part of the family was in the parade and they all went

Morning all! I'm here!

Lori O. said...

Good morning, JudyE!

I would love to see your Dog Fancy picture, DMo!

JudyE, great idea to check insurance coverage benefits for transportation for Lynn. See when we all put our heads together...

DanaMo said...

No I don't think you are being silly, I'm sure I would have been hurt too! She just must not have thought about calling you. I know I do that sometimes and then I regret it or feel bad. Sometimes it's just one of those things. Like oh...I should have called mom she would have liked this...

JudyEddy said...

Ok I need to go in to LM and get ready for work since I know I won't be seeing the eagles in the morning since the don't arrive till later with sunrise and time changes

Lori O. said...

And our newest Early Bird is here!
Good Morning, Sandi!

D-Mo, love the Triple picture of the Flying Labs! You have so much fun with them. :)

DanaMo said...

It's posted Lori.

Good morning Sandi!

Trying to decide what time to head to Shepherdstown. I don't want to go too early cause Jo isn't going to get there until late morning. I'm not sure how big the market is and how much time I need to wander around. I would love it if I could talk my way onto the grounds of NCTC, but I don't want to cause any trouble for anyone.

Lori O. said...

Bulldog also means bull-headed. I would love to get a pic like that!

DanaMo said...

Thanks Lori, I do have fun with them and they really do cooperate! Especially when treats are involved, although I did not use treats yesterday cause I was afraid that would get them all wound up. I pretended I was going to nap and they all joined me in bed! Surprise, surprise! LOL!

Lori O. said...

That's right, I forgot they think it's their bed! The cats think my bed is their bed. Dalai sleeps in her crate at night because she needs good sleep or she is crabby! Otherwise, she will be up all night "cat herding." She always thinks it's her job to keep everyone in line. Sometimes I call her Helga!

DanaMo said...

Too funny Lori! Yes, my animals rule this roost! No doubt about it!

Lori O. said...

DMo, are you taking your camera with you so we can see your wreath and maybe pictures of eagles - I know you said you got that new doubler for your camera! Cool!

DanaMo said...

Lori you need to post pictures on the blog of all your 4 legged family. I went to see pictures and there aren't any unless I missed them somewhere. I can't keep straight who is who! LOL! How many kitties do you have3 or 4? Dogs 1 or 2?

DanaMo said...

Oh yes, camera will be with me!

Sandi said...

OK, caught up on reading FB and have sent my daily email to my mom in Balto. She's a night owl so she emails me @ 2am. I'm an early bird so I email her back @ 6am! Wow - night owl, early bird - never thought about the fact that both are references to birds! Speaking of birds, ...

Lori O. said...

Seriously? Right now 8 cats, but three of them are the foster kittens (Bobby, LeRoy & Andie) who are being quarantined: otherwise, there's five cats and 2 (Burry & Parker) that are inside only...then there's 2 bulldogs, Dalai (Dolly) and FloBear.

DanaMo said...

(I thought so, but when you were talking about the sleeping arrangements you didn't mention FloBear so I wasn't sure if I was confused! LOL! I'm not old enough for being so confused, but I am anyway so I'm not sure what my excuse it! LOL

DanaMo said...

Am I to assume that FloBear sleeps wherever she wants!

DanaMo said...

It seems like they have been quarantined for a long time, how long does that last?

Lori O. said...

FloBear is an 11 yr old male and he gets whatever he wants because he is the Senior member of the animal kingdom in the house. He always sleeps on the bed with me, but the cats don't really bother him. They tread lightly near him.

Sandi said...

Lori, I love animals and have always wanted to volunteer at a shelter when I retire. Sadly, I realize that I never can b/c I would bring too many home!

Lori O. said...

DMo, the kitten quarantine was to last three months and that will be at the very end of this month. They're 8 - 9 months old now.

Lori O. said...

Sandi, that's why I work with rescues, knowing they are all guaranteed a home sometime, and they won't be put down. I couldn't sent them back to a county shelter.

DanaMo said...

WOW listen to those geese.

Morning all - days are flying by. Must use LM to stay on track. To sit & read & comment steals the day away, as you know. Have been sending heavy duty prayers for the many who need them, even when I'm not here to comment I carry you all in my heart & thoughts.

Diasterous trip to cottage this weekend. Got there to find 10° INSIDE. Pipes frozen! :o(
Forgot laptop at home so had nothing to pass time (or for movie watching in the evening)while we thawed out. Then discovered SD card was defunct in trail cam so no pictures. Could not make repairs, so finally decided to turn around & head home. Wasted day, either traveling (6 hours) or freezing. But all minor compared to what others are enduring.

Wishing everyone the best day they can have!

DanaMo said...

Sorry...he...happens to me all the time with my dogs too. I try to keep everyone's animals straight but I can't too many!

A friend of mine just rescued a sheperd/lab mix and she is soooo cute! Apparently a whole litter was tied to a fire hydrant in either WV or VA can't remember which.

CLUNK AND SHAKE...EAGLE ON THE CAMERA!

Someone is here! =)

DanaMo said...

Hey we have camera noise. Clunk, like a landing.

Come on down you're the next contestant on Live Eagle Cam!

DanaMo said...

We've got color.

Lori O. said...

Good Morning, CarolAnne! We miss you! Hope you get everything that you need to get done today accomplished!

Sandi said...

C'mon guys, I have a busy day! If these eagles only knew they have such a captive audience!!

NEST FORECAST

Today:
Sunny, with a high near 44. Calm wind.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 22. Light south wind.

18 degrees at the nest, now.

CarolAnne said...

The upside of the weekend at the cottage being cancelled, I now have this extra day at home to scurry around.

And as they say everything happens for a reason: we saw 3 EAGLES on the ride home. Wouldn't have seen them if things had worked out at the cottage.

Where's the "eagle whisperer" on this blog? Who is it who calls them and they show up?
