Thelma is okay but her computer is not. Justin opened a virus on it and it is on its way to the doctor. Vista Home Security 2012 virus. I tried to get it off myself but nothing doing. Going to cost $60 to get it removed.
It's time for some heavy duty Tori prayers, gals. She is in Hopkins again. The transplant push is on....she needs it as soon as possible. They are apparently getting her built up to go through with it. Robyn....and Bobbi, too...can all use those prayers, as well.

Good Morning/Afternoon, Everyone!
I apologize for being pretty much MIA yesterday, and this morning, until now! I have gotten a lot done, though. Got our little Christmas tree up, and have a lot of the house "shoveled" (was it Loretta that first mentioned that?). Got a lot of online banking done. The rest of today will be dedicated to doing laundry and doing some pruning in the back yard. Can't go out there right now, because I don't want to spook the 2 dozen or so Mourning doves that are eating, along with many sparrows and House finches, and a few White-crowned sparrows.
Lynn, definitely praying for Tori, and for Robyn and Bobbi, too! Thanks for the update on Jim and Red.
Emma & I watched the movie "White Christmas" after Kubby went to bed last night. Love the songs in that one!
Sorry to hear of the virus in Thelma's computer! Hope it's a quick fix.
Hoping that Kubby gets home fairly early from work today. We need to get our outdoor Christmas lights up. The rain last weekend spoiled our plans to do it then. Feel like we are running behind this year.

I took the cutest video at the park today of Jordyn feeding a variety of birds Robins, Blackbirds, Ibis, Pigeons, Ducks, and a another black bird with a red face sort of its a water bird of some sort I have seen them before I will post a pic after the video finish uploading I have 7 from this morning visit then Jordyns at the park she is out like a light now fell asleep on way had to carry her in she is toooo big to carry almost now BBL just thought I would let you know I ma letting the puter work on the videos for a while

Hoda, I'm afraid that Momma's traveling days are over. She's 92 1/2 come Sunday. But yeah, sometimes a Mother's presence would be the right prescription.

I am pecking this out slowly. I over did it yesterday. Finger, hands, arms, legs, back and neck are causing pain. Stayed in bed longer that usual. I am so glad Mother can take Aleve. Messed myself up trying to find Christmas gifts for Mother. I also had to take a pair of slippers back. She wanted them tied tighter. I told her that was not that type. Tighter she said and snap went the leather tie. I told them at KMart that I did it. She said most people wouldn't tell us that. I said, "I wouldn't be able to live with myself and it is ok if you can't take them back." They did though. No slippers for Mother she is going to have to find them.
LYNN, ditto what LORI just said. Call those newspaper offices and give em' What For ! You aren't asking for anything difficult or unecessary. Oh, yeh, I forgot about Jeopardy, I rarely miss it. Can't say we aren't trying to stay sharp !

I just got finish reading post of Paula's about Boo eating candy canes and some wooden ornaments and lifted his leg on the tree.
On down Mema Jo says: "Boo sounds liky my hubby -0 almost not a candy cane left on the tree." I was reading it and took a breath at the end of the word hubby. I'm so tickled by you ladies. Last spring, when I was still a lurker, you all had nothing good to say about Shep (I understand the loyalty to Liberty)! Now I read comments about him being a hard worker and doing a good job on the rails, and he has been referred to as looking regal! I think you ladies are staring to love this new guy!

SANDI, love may be too strong a word and that may come once he shows his stuff as a father. Right now I feel like we've come to accept Shep and that's been a big step for many !

LYNN, that's great. It's so easy to see the size difference at the NBG nest, due to camera placement. I think that part was easier before last years new placement here at our nest. I like this overhead perspective, but it blurs the size issue, JMHO.

@Shirley, I have given the URL to the kids who've asked for it. But realistically, there's not enough entertainment value this time of the nesting season to keep an adolescent interested at home in the evening. Watching the nest now can't compare with texting, being on FB, watching TV, and playing video games. But once there is an eagle in the nest all the time, a handful start watching at home every year. I hope this year will be the same. They DO get to the point that they know the nest will be on the Smartboard when they come into the room in the mornings and they are in awe when they see an eagle fly in, when they realize that they are seeing this live, and when I give them facts/details about the eagles and the nest.

Funny thing. One day I turned the cam on and forgot about it. The kids and I were trying to figure out what we were hearing when I checked my computer and realized it was the wind blowing at the nest.
KAY, won't be long before I head to bed. Just finishing up some laundry and little chores while I'm waiting for the dryer to finish. I do love that upside down tree in my room. :)
Time to organize dinner. We have odds and ends left from last night when I was gone. I had bought some carry home stuff, then Kathryn decided to bring home some other things. I will combine them tonight and see if I need to add anything.

WVDANA...The jury is still out as to the black capped chicadee beig a national bird...it is a wonderful radio program that I listen to called As It Happens and they have this contest on right now...very funny how people think and want to prove their point.
Good yoga practice and yes LYNN they had ploughed my street before I headed out, actually my whole route was clear of snow both directions and well sanded. More snow predicted for tonight. I heard several police sirens and also the ambulance went out when I was in yoga...I hope all is well for those involved.
Okay,sweet dreams and hope to see you early in the morning ! Time for me to decide on dinner---soup n' salad perhaps---then to the TV news, Jeopardy and beyond....

You would be amazed at the language that comes out of their mouths sometimes! I won't "friend " them on FB either. Sharon, you are so right!! I doubt that eagle sex would evoke much more than a smile from them! The kids DO know this group exists. The first day they saw the eagles, I told the kids their names. They asked if I had named them and I explained that a group of folks who have been watching this nest for years and have even been to see the nest in person chose the names. I briefly told them about Liberty's disappearance last March and explained that this is a new male with the female who has been there for a number of years (how many years has Belle been the female at the nest)? I also told them that I watch 2 other eagle nests (NBG and Decorah) but that this is the nest responsible for my eagle addiction, since it's the first one I started watching 4 years ago (Hidey's year).
The cam was installed in 2006 and she had been there for at least one year prior to that Sandi.
Jim's surgery has been moved from the 21st to the 22nd. If all goes well, he'll have the other eye done 2 weeks later.
Excuse me if I step on any toes, but I totally fail to understand that if today ended the Iraq "war" then WHY can't they get ALL those service people home in time for Christmas rather than "the end of the month?" Just sayin'.........
Thanks Lynn, Will put JIM in my prayers that his surgery goes well on the 22 and then again in the new year...
