It is 49 and sunny here. Might have our first freeze this week, but right now our ferns are still green and have flowers blooming. The pecan trees have lost a lot of their leaves but the oaks are hanging on to their leaves.
Doing tons of laundry. Groan!

Laurel said Issabelly and PC have not stopped purring and they did not kill each other. lol She said she woke up with Issabelly sitting by her face, staring and purring. lol PC is following her around the house. Bosco was very happy last night when they got home.

They left the pets at home. Joey's office is at their home and his secretary took Bosco home with her. She checked on the cats every day. She also worked at the house two days and took Bosco with her. Great arrangement! Glad they did not have the expence of boarding the animals.

Guess we will never know about Sheps markings. On OC they state it is about fighting for the nest. You just can not make such postitive statements.

Sharon, the pictures from yesterday show the spot on the head as well as the spot on the left side of the neck.
Here's one that will make you shudder. A girl who lived net door to us when the kids were young had a baby boy this week......26---read that TWENTY-SIX---inches long!!! Whew!!!!

My pic a little while ago also clearly shows the spot on top of Shep's head, plus the neck mess.
Well DanaMO, I don't like the still cam either in as much as it's so hard to tell what is going on with just a new snapshot every 30 seconds. Can't see movement/behavior/hear sounds. Very frustrating! But I guess it beats no cam at all. Sure hope it gets fixed soon. Maybe we'll get an update on progress from Steve.
My delete. The capitals looked too much like I was trying to prove a point by loud voice.
JO for a short while I questioned if the dark feathers on the neck were on Belle. Then I looked at the way they were standing one had wings tucked in and the other was more open with the wings, not spread as in flight, but not tucked in either. I am open to explore that the bird with dark neck feathers could be Belle but then I see the spot on the head on the same bird, so it is SHEP. I hear you both JO and SHARON as to the misleding appearance.

We went to Anaheim Coves with Emma, and it turned out to be about a 3-mile walk! The weather here today is beautiful--about 80, sunny, and slightly windy. Kubby took some pictures, and I'm going to try to get them (and the ones I took at the dedication ceremony) on a blog so you all can see them. Wish me luck, because I haven't tried this before! Will be back in a while, hopefully a LITTLE while!
Oh--saw that our REM is now SHEP. Glad to have an official name for him. Saw the pictures of the side of his neck--WOW! Wonder what's up with that! OK, back in a while.

Andy, it's not the cam screen that has VIEW, it is your browser toolbar!!! It's right under the address bar and lists FILE EDIT VIEW FAVORITES TOOLS HELP
If it's not showing, you need to open up your IE toolbar and check it so that it shows.

Have shared some of Joey's sledding pics on fb. Have to tell you a funny story. The three grandboys were playing Go Fish. I was helping Zach. He knows how to play but has trouble holding the cards. We were intent...all was fairly quiet when Michael (bless his heart) burped really loud and long. The three boys dissolved in giggles. It really was funny! Loved seeing the three laughing and having so much fun together.

Saw a beautiful Black Vulture near James's house today...
and in Berkeley Springs, easily 50 soaring turkey vultures...they were like flying dots! They never came down to the ground though.....
Not sure if anyone said, that they emailed Steve a pic, think Hoda mentioned that Jo emailed Steve about Shep's name...
So...I guess I'll wait til I know for sure...

I have a four hour shift to pull form 0400 to 0800, so naptime looms here very soon...
almost had to work the whole 8 hour midnight shift, but I got lucky ! Someone else is staying over four hours...

Stayed for the sunset tonight, then headed home. Ride was heavier than usual on the Eastern Shore, but great around DC. Traffice headed south on I270 was very heavy, going north was a breeze!

Glad you like the pics on my new blog! LYNN, I think it was you who asked about the water. It is the Santa Ana River. It's actually kinda low right now. You should see it when there's heavy rain! We had hoped to get some bird pictures, but they were pretty scarce. We did see one circling TV, but too far away for a good picture. Oh, well. There's always tomorrow!
DanaMo, sure hope you feel better in the morning! Sorry the boys have been feeling so lousy. Really hope Aric doesn't have to miss any classes because of it. Are they on antibiotics?

Lynn,yes,the river does have concrete embankments. It's really nice to be able to walk by it again. The trail is great! Used to be just dirt, and you'd get really dusty, but not today. There are dirt equestrian paths too, but you have options now! I like that they have such nice fences around the whole area now. Makes it a little bit more difficult for coyotes to get to our street, which is only 2 blocks away.
Just read back...congrats Jo on the new expected ggc! That is so exciting and a real blessing.

Night all! Time to call it a day! Tomorrow have to start on Christmas decorations. Got a text while we were gone. My name was submitted to have the Christmas party as the girl who was going to be the hostess had emergency surgery. What do you say when they say they suggest you...you agree. So hostess I will be a week from this coming Thursday. Groan...! I would really rather start my Christmas shopping. Oh, well...it will all work out.

Fubby invented a dish with the chicken noodle & veggie leftovers from the soup cans that I borrowed the broth. He mixed them w/the leftover stuffing. Was good w/the gravy!

Up early, too early this morning. Kitten Andie was attacking my feet and legs and I wasn't even moving. I picked her up and held her several times...nothing worked. I gave up!

I've got 6 more to go filling in basic information, then I have to go back and write all my comments! Poosha...they aren't very good kindergarten progress reports, I don't think they have been updated EVER. They don't really show what we do, but I am stuck with it, which makes it even harder to fill them out.

I don't think I have a sticking problem at work...it's a home that it can become difficult. Thanks for the video of the eagle in the cell tower! Too bad they're not in one of those fancy towers with the fake leaves and branches. But, you can see them better this way. :)

I googled cameras last nite and did some research I was looking at compact 18x and 16x they do make some that are small and still fit in pocket
