I spent a good part of the afternoon in Berryville, Va. at Jayden's 2nd birthday party. He loves trucks and cars and got a gazillion of them:) Capt. Gene got a lot of cute photos, but I cannot post them to my blog. Is it possible I have reached my Limit on space?

Sorry I haven't been around much today. Kathryn and I are sharing the computer and it has been busy around here.
Went to "extreme bingo" tonight.
A new place--
If you want a computer, you have to get paper cards too, then they call the numbers so fast you can't keep up.
Didn't know I had gone to the races.
I had a bingo once, but I was too late calling it, so I didn't get anything. And once my computer was on the wrong game and it was just too bad. At our other place, you let them know that you have a computer problem and they help you. New place computer problem=tough cookies. No help. You miss the game.
I got plumb wore out and mentally stressed playing bingo, for goodness' sake.
Don't wanna go back there.

Laurel and Joey are about 30 miles behind us!
If it had been the first time we had played, I don't think we would have gone back a second time.
There were lots of people there. I told Kathryn that it was the "advanced class" and we belong in the "regular class." My arm got tired trying to cover all of the cards.
I could have had a bingo and not even known it because I did not have a chance to look at the cards.

Took a nap! 54 miles from home. Laurel is 98 miles from her home.
Hoda, Michael and Ashley flew. They were to be home around 4. We are doing great. 45 miles to go! Michael brought a bottle of "celebration" wine! A year ago he won a BIG case. Well, there was an appeal and they won HUGE! Awarded another 7 million. That's my boy!
So Michael's case was not overturned on appeal but rather awarded more!!! YEAY!!!Good on him!!!I am glad you are almost home.WAY TO GO JACK...

WOW missing Lori for sure. How strange is that? I can't imagine it's a setting because it just started happening, Lori didn't do anything to make it happen. Know what I mean...if she had been messing around with the computer and then lost her posts than I would think a setting got changed but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Lynn, I knew that someone had a dachshund named Liesl but didn't know who. Looked at your pics - you have TWO and they're adorable!! Bella is a miniature red short hair. She was 9 months old when we bought her, but the place was more of a puppy mill than a reputable breeder, so I consider her a rescue. By the time she was 4, she needed 13 teeth removed (poor breeding I'd guess), then another 10 teeth had to be removed 6 months later. So when the vet said a year later that she needed more teeth removed, I took her to an oral surgeon and had them all taken out. It was awful at the time, but she has adjusted well. The only side effect is that her tongue hangs out the left side of her mouth - ALL the time! To me, it just makes her more endearing! Our son and daughter-in-law in Africa have 2 black and tan long hairs named Runcible J. Spoon and Pumpernickel - they are my granddogs. I had a black and tan short hair like your other dachshund when I was growing up. I LOVE the breed! I DID get your email and sent one back to you this AM. This blog is so addictive, but I have tennis at 9AM so I've gotta get ready. Later!

Fianlly found some Hallmark Christmas movies to watch.
Sandi, actually I only have the one. Marlon was her college class training buddy---belongs to an old work pal! I had Cinnamon, a red short hair until a year ago last month when she passed at 11.
Had a red and a black and tan while growing up.
Liesl was rescued from a mill in Ohio almost a year ago....she is about 1 yr. old. Had to have 4 teeth pulled when she was a few months old....She did have an identical littermate, who was adopted by people in NY.
One of the dogs that Liesl was with while I was in hospital was named Bella, too.....not a doxie, tho'!!!!!

I woke up this morning thinking maybe there is a deer carcass some where. The male (Shep) could have been eating from it and gotten blood on the side of it face. That could be an explanation.

Well with everything going on with Mother and Ed's day coming up the next day. I had forgotten to vote. When I did you all said it showed 50 50 so when I voted for on. I am a little confused . . . I keep reading that something happened to one of the eagles. Shep? But I do not know what has happened. Or if anyone knows what has happened.
I haven't read all of the past posts. I got pretty exhausted over Thanksgiving and got behind.
DANA, I had those same thoughts, too. There are a lot of deer carcasses along the roadways, and eagles and buzzards love that meal.
Let's hope that is all it was. Don't need another MALE fight or disappearing eagle, this year.

I checked the pictures. It is hard to tell what it is. Hope it is just blood from a feed or dirt. It kind of looks like it could be something just on the feathers rather than an injury.
At first I thought people had seen something happen--a collision or something. But then I realized that it was just that it looked like there could have been an injury or something, but no one knew how it happened.
I'm going to try CarolAnne and Margy's tip of previewing posts all day today and see what happens... so be prepared to hear from me! :)

I still think it is dark feathers. I do not see a gash. I see Shep's neck was very very much on an angle in the pictures this morning. THANKS LORI for sending them. I have not gone to the album yet. My FB page is back to normal today with 3 sections instead of 4...the news ticker AND the sponsored ads stuff are in the same section again on the right although the news ticker is sometimes on top and sometimes below...
Good morning! We were in bed within 30 minutes of getting home last night. Slept late this morning. Have loads to do as we did not unload the car last night.

Well, I was thinking maybe this week we could maybe use for our avatars our favorite characters from Christmas specials, you know the old ones with the animation, or Christmas cartoon show characters.

Good afternoon. Had some company this afternoon---short visit but very pleasant. And I blew leaves off the decks---just as the wind started to blow! But do have a few rays of sun shining, and it's 65°! If only it could stay like this.
Yes, Lynn, if only it could stay like this all Winter? It's 66° right now and going up to 68° tomorrow. I guess this must be our Indian Summer.

Well DanaMo I have seen and heard of Nester. Always loved the donkey with the long ears. I would talk about it to the younger kids.
Well I am back...you say temperatures are in the 60's I won't even ask the folks in California and Florida what temperature it is over there...It is a balmy 37 degrees right now and we have blue skies in between the cloud cover. I took pictures of me bundled up for winter. I was in the yoga studio's Tea Room and had not taken my coat or hat off yet...it is ok to have cold weather as we can always dress for it...how fortunate we tryly are.
