Morning.

Nice to see our eagles.

magpie said...

Why does this eagle look so different to me?
Am I seeing spots ??

thought I saw head spots on both eagles...
the one that left, the left toes gives SHEP away...

Good Morning Eagle Pals..xo

magpie said...

and also different pale dark colors on left side of this eagle's head/neck...

magpie said...

I was waiting to see if anyone else noticed anything

stronghunter said...

Not sure, Margy.

magpie said...

color might help...

I have to leave, get ready for work...

Sorry about YOUR long day. Lori WOOF !!

Best Wishes for a Good Day Everyone
keep watching those eagles !
I see SHEP has returned...

xo ♥

stronghunter said...

Refreshed and they are both here.

magpie said...

Jo had mentioned a few days ago about size differences, and colors...
these things are going through my head...

stronghunter said...

I see what you mean, Margy. Trying to get some pictures.

Lori O. said...

MARGY, that's why I sent you copies of my pics the other day, because they show spots on both of them.

stronghunter said...

Do we have two new eagles?

Lori O. said...

I was trying to show that they were both in the nest...then Shep left...and the one remaining in the nest had a spot on her head!

Lori O. said...

OK, I won't say anymore. I'm just glad someone else had noticed it.

Good Morning, Shirley! Cyclone!

stronghunter said...

Pictures on my blog. I think I see spots on both heads.

DanaMo said...

For some reason that just really makes me sad that it could be two new eagles...

DanaMo said...

too bad they aren't banded. It would be nice to know.

stronghunter said...

Hunter is sleeping on the sofa. Unusual. He did not want to get up this morning and he said that he fell asleep in class yesterday. But he has been going to bed at a reasonable time, then complaining of being tired in the morning.

Don't know what is going on. He may need to stay home.

Cyclone Shirley might not be bowling today.

This is very unusual for Hunter.

stronghunter said...

Me too, DanaMo. We need Paula to take a look. I have put the pictures on my blog, but not on the Momster's album yet.

Lori O. said...

Shirley, I hope Hunter is not sick. That's no fun.

T-Bird said...

Good morning my friends.

stronghunter said...

Hi, Thelma.

T-Bird said...

Has Belle or Shep been visiting this morning. I'm saying it again. Using Shep has really helped me. I love it.

magpie said...

Good Morning T- and any more Morning Pals...

Lori
I understand...and I sure appreciate it...I just couldn't discern too well...regarding your picures...I tried..
good time NOW (well sometime today)
to have another look...

(( Hugs ♥ ))

Be careful, wet roads in store hereabouts....

xoxo♥

Lori O. said...

Hi Thelma! Yes, we had a visit this morning from both eagles!

stronghunter said...

Hunter suddenly jumped up and said,"I have to get dressed!" But then he decided that he had no time for breakfast. Thirty minutes is not enough for him.

A bit later, he said that he was sure him mom would not mind if he had her Slim Fast. He likes those. I let him have it. Probably need to grab a few more for Kathryn.

Am I being conned? Most likely. But I want him to have breakfast.

stronghunter said...

his mom

stronghunter said...

Someone commented about putting out a pumpkin for the squirrels, so I got one from my front porch and sliced it in two. The squirrels seem to be enjoying it. I will check later and see what they are eating from it. I am guessing they are taking the seeds now.

stronghunter said...

I put the two pictures from this morning on the Momster's Album as well as on my blog. We will have to see what people think. It really looks like both eagles have spots on their heads.

paula eagleholic said...

I thought I saw spots on both eagles from the pics in the album the other day...they must have both gotten into whatever got on them...

stronghunter said...

Maybe so. Interesting, Paula.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I was thinking that same thing Paula. I don't even want to go there about it being a different female. God help us!

stronghunter said...

BBL--Off to bowl.

grannyblt said...

GM eagle buddies. Read yesterdays blog and glad to hear that Hedgie's news is encouraging. I seem to miss our eagles every day--oh well you all keep me posted as to the happenings. Life will settle down for me a bit after this week so I can keep up a little better. Prayers and good thoughts to you all.

hedgie said...

Hello there!!!! Cannot believe it but I slept until 8:45!!! Like a LOG! I WAS tired, wasn't I??
Sweet Liesl slept soundly, too. I had to wake her. It is raining....but still warm at 60°.
Need to catch up here to see how all y'all are, but gotta hike out for the papers and get something to eat first!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Hedgie, there is so much to be said for sleeping in late!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Well, where the heck did everybody go?

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING...
Sorry for the FACE PLANT last night...that is really what happens when I do a plant. Somtimes, it is worse. Just thought I'd leave it as is. Each time I deleted what I was typing, and start all over, it got worse. Capt. Gene and I went GG grocery shopping yesterday, and that always wears me out...can't wait for a NEW KNEE!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Raining at the nest.

Costume Lady said...

It is raining pretty hard right now, here in Martinsburg/Shepherdstown. Maybe, if the spots on our eagle pair are from a messy meal, this rain will wash it off. We'll see.

Lolly said...

Just a quick ♪♫Good Morning1♪♫ I need to leave in about 20 min for my appointment. The doctor's office has moved and I have to find it in Fort Worth. Grrrr!

Lynn, glad you slep late, and Liesl, too! You obviously needed it! 36 here this morn, but sun shiney!

Read you reports on Belle having spots, too. Hmmmm??? More on..."as the nest turns"!

hedgie said...

Wish whatever the white is on the front lower limb would disappear....everytime I look, I think it's an eagle head!!!

Costume Lady said...

LORI, I loved what you said, first thing this morning, about LYNN and our prayers for her...THE LORD BLESSED THIS GROUP. What a wonderful way to look at Lynn's optimistic report!

hedgie said...

WhooHoo...oncologist takes my insurance! They need to check w/ Dr. to see if he has heard from the surgeon and will call me back.

Lolly said...

And, I am still chuckling at DanaMo "turning on" Lori! lol

Lolly said...

Yea, Lynn! You do not need obstacles like insurance to get in your way!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Yay Hedgie. That is great news! God is good all the time!

hedgie said...

Wanda, you're right! Lori has a great way with words---as so many here do!
I know that 5th can't get here soon enough for you!! I just hope Tom can get you on the schedule right away!!

Lolly said...

Gotta run...make a good day!☺

hedgie said...

Raining quite hard here, too. At 59° now. Bet I see at least one nap in my future this afternoon!!!!

Costume Lady said...

LYNN OR MARGY...know anything about an emergency or disturbance on W. Moler Av. last evening? We were going home from GG's when we saw three police cars in front of a house with flashing lights, then as we got to the stop light, an Advanced Life Support ambulance came on the scene. Curious George, here??

NatureNut said...

Good Morning Eaglebuds! Was able to sneak online, but it's starting to sprinkle, so probably turn off. They think there is an exposed line and that's why everything goes kapooey when it rains!
Left to eat something yesterday evening & just missed the eagles. Then I did a loungechair plant!
I thought on Sun. eve when I got lots of eagle caps, that both seemed to have head marks. Shep, who we assumed was the messy one left, but one remaining had spot on head???!!!!

Am so glad to hear Lynn's report. Like that the Dr. is so positive, too. And even better is that insurance will cover treatment! Hope you will have minimal discomfort. We'll all be praying!!! ☺ ♥
Sharon, hope Becky's life gets much better. Bless you for being there to help!
Hope the bum knee people are better soon! And hope we hear from Linda. Prayers for all.
Today, no eagles at Park nest, but looks like the back (left) side is taller! Just so they PLEASE don't block the front! No other critters, but the Good Morning heron landed on the osprey cam nest!
Raining harder & only 62° now.
Have a great day!!

Mema Jo said...

Oh Yes! Rain is pouring downward!
Not snow!

Good to see everyone here in good spirits.

LORETTA, looking forward to pictures of your eagles, this season. Can't remember how many chicklets you had last season? Oh, so hoping for 3 in our nest this time...we are due. So much excitement and entertainment with three little bobbleheads!

CarolAnne said...

Morning all,
Speaking of Christmas decorations, etc. have you written your letter to Santa yet? Here's mine:

Dear Santa,

This year, please give me a big fat bank account and a slim body. And PLEASE, don’t mix those two up like you did last year.

Thanks!
* * * *
Hope this holiday season continues to be a time of miracles for all!

Ms Bookworm said...

Good Morning, Everyone!
Gosh, I did it again--fell asleep last night in front of the TV!

LYNN, so glad your doctor is so upbeat, and I KNOW you will beat this once again! We are all here with you, and with God's help, everything will be fine.

Omigosh, I find that I have sound back at the nest this morning!!!
Sounds windy. I have looked at the eagle pics on your blog, Shirley, and agree that both seem to have spots on their heads. Don't know quite WHAT to make of that! Lord, please, no more drama!

Have been working this morning, but stopped to catch up here before I get TOO far behind! Need to disappear for a bit while I water patio plants and unlock the gate for the gardeners. Will be back before long! Hope everyone has safe travels (praying for those going to Dr. appts.), and a good day today! BBIALW... :o]

Hoda said...

Good morning all.

LYNN so glad your insurance is good with the oncologist...a great relief. I hope he hears from your surgeon today and this way you will know when the treatment will start. We are WITH you on that...LOVE YOU AND CHERISH KNOWING YOU LYNN.

Dentist appointment this morning. Not too excited about that I hope the crown fits with no problem...she is too particular sometimes she drives me crazy, but it is a good thing because I do not have problems with crowns...be patient is what I am telling myself.

Glad the eagles came and glad we are exploring the changes in appearance and open to always seeing with fresh eyes.Changes in camera resolution also affects what we see

Hoda said...

JO did you have a chance to buy more Christmas decorations? You had said the kids said not enough of them downstairs anymore...they cleaned your basement!!!ENJOY decorating the tree...

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

We just had a squirrel in the nest. I posted a pic on my blog under My Wildlife. Brave little feller!

hedgie said...

Wanda, wasn't paying too much attention to scanner last night....but don't always hear a lot of the City traffic as county is busier and usually overrides it!

Loretta, hope your nest keeps a low side for good viewing for you!!

Hoda, hope the crown placement is an easy one and that the fit will be perfect!!

Been counting monies for Christmas luncheon---only one week away!!! Up to 64 people attending! Called in our menu yesterday AM, and final headcount is due Th. Got a pack of labels to use to make my name tags later in the week. Thought I needed printer ink---sure glad I looked before we left yeterday---I had a new pack in the desk!!

Mema Jo said...

I didn't buy too many decorations from the Christmas shop - I need a second trip due to sooooooo many to choose from... I have a feeling that my Christmas tree from years gone by will
do just fine in the front room.

Lynn - thankful about the insurance coverage! That should be a relief!

CA - Sometimes Santa does get mixed up! lol

Wanda - hope the rain stops so everyone can get to the Soup Kitchen

hedgie said...

Logging in on PC so I can add house pic to my Lair.

Mema Jo said...

Sharon - that not so little squirrel in the nest best watch out! There aren't any peanuts up there!

hedgie said...

Okay, pic is up.

CarolAnne, love that little Santa letter!!!

Jo, Cracker Barrel has lots of nice ornaments!!!!

Ms Bookworm said...

Back again. Gosh, just heard on the news this morning that it's supposed to get windy here Thursday and Friday! Oh, well, at least the yard will look nice for a COUPLE of days before it's all messed up again!

Have looked back on the blog to catch up, and praying for Diann and for her upcoming surgery on Dec. 1st. Oh my, Sharon! Prayers and more prayers for Becky and the kids, and also that Chris will not abuse any of them, physically OR verbally! Prayers for you, and for Bev, too, and blessings on both of you for taking care of Becky & the kids!...Saw the pic of the brave little squirrel--he'd better steer clear of the nest!

Prayers for JudyE and for the computer situation. Frustrating!

Prayers for Linda, her Mom, and for her whole family.

Yikes! JudyE, glad you and your truck are fine! Hope that teen is, too. Hope she learns from this situation, and also hope that she isn't grounded until she's 30!

Lynn, glad your oncologist takes your insurance (YAY!!!), and hope you can start treatment SOON!

Oh, my. Miss Emma is BEGGING for some lap time, so guess I need to humor her. Poor, abused, neglected baby! ;o] BBIALW...

hedgie said...

Kay will be winging her way home from NJ at 3:50 this afternoon. Hope she isn't too tired to check in when she gets there!!! Safe travels, Kay!

Mema Jo said...

Cracker Barrel is an ideal place for
ornaments, Lynn. That is where I buy
the 20+ ornaments (all the same)for our gift giving to family members! $$ is tucked somewhere in the ornament - some of the children and grandchildren have them from years ago when we first started.

stronghunter said...

Bowling was interesting. Our opposing team left without signing the score card. We have been in last place all season and we just beat them. Think they were in 4th place until now.

JudyEddy said...

YEAH me I got two mini video of yesterday on blog sucessfully without going down down on both the blog and facebook will finish later after work

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Sissy posted this on Facebook so I am going to share it here:

Here is my Christmas present to you all in loving memory of my Daddy, Wayne Crisco. It is his peanut butter pie recipe, charged me $4.95 plus tax for it years ago! LOL!!

1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 ounces of cream cheese
2/3 cup peanut butter
9 ounces Cool Whip
1 cup powdered sugar
1 9" graham cracker crust

Stir gelatin slowly into water and mix well. Cool to lukewarm. Whip cream cheese until soft, add vanilla, beat in sugar and peanut butter. Slowly add the gelatin mixture and mix well. Fold in Cool Whip and pour into graham cracker crust. Cool in icebox 2 hours or more.

It is awesome, best peanut butter pie I have ever eaten. No short cuts, follow directions exactly!!! ENJOY!

hedgie said...

Haven't made it to FB, Shar. Thanks for sharing Sissy's recipe....and to Sissy for letting us all in on your secret!!!!!! Can't wait to try it!!!

hedgie said...

Does unflavored gelatin ever go bad? Have a box in the cupboard that's probably been there 10 yrs.!!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I think it would still be good.

Lolly said...

Recipe sounds delicious!!

Home from the doctors. All checked out a o k! However, my blood presser was up...think that was because I had to find his office and find parking! He has recommended a new doctor who comes to Burleson once a week. Like that! He says this one will not be retiring. That is good! Tired of my doctors retiring on me!

Anyway, that is over for a year! Yea!

Jack has gone to the dentist and we will get down decorations when he returns.

hedgie said...

Shirley, was the other team mad about something or just forgot to sign? COOL that you move up a notch!!!

Lori O. said...

Sharon, your Daddy's pie recipe sounds scrumptious! I think I could even attempt that one.

Thank you, JudyE, for all the work you do on the videos...glad you seem to enjoy it when your computer is cooperating. It really is nice to have them when I miss a visit. Very much appreciated, ma'am!

Lori O. said...

Go Cyclone Shirley! Glad you could put "W" in the books.

hedgie said...

Rain seems to have stopped....at least for now. Sky is brightening. Temp falling and wind is picking up.

stronghunter said...

My teammates thought the other team was angry that we beat them. Unfortunately, we have to win another round before we move up. The way I understand it, they get knocked out of 4th place, but we stay in last place.

Bowling scoring is complicated.

I am told that the fact that I beat my own average made a big difference. (I have a large handicap.)

hedgie said...

Lolly, nice of the distant doc to "turn you over" to someone closer to home! Gee---he might give away all his business!

stronghunter said...

eagle!!!!

stronghunter said...

stronghunter said...

Something flew over the nest. Small bird?

Then our eagle poofed.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I just saw the tip of the wing when they took off.

NatureNut said...

Wow! Made a comment about Lori's vulture and the scrambbled word was MUNCHA! And that's what I'm doing~~~munching lunch!

Somehow I had a thought about our spotted eagles. Perhaps he's trying to WOO her by bringing chocolates! LOL

hedgie said...

SUN is out!!!

hedgie said...

A quick visit, huh?? Missed it. :(

Shirley, agree that team scoring is difficult to understand! Have never figured it out! Bill has been league bowling for as long as I've known him, and it's still Greek to me!

Mema Jo said...

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Gang,
I'm back again. Emma and I watched the coverage of the Conrad Murray trial, and turns out the judge sure wasn't too happy with Murray. Gave him the maximum sentence of 4 years in L.A. County Jail.(News commentators say he'll probably only serve 2 years due to overcrowding.) There will be a restitution hearing on Jan. 23rd to decide how much money Murray will have to pay. They're asking for $100 million, but they didn't document that amount well enough. The judge says they'd better document that thoroughly.

DanaMo said...

Home from school and ready for an eagle visit.

DanaMo said...

Looks like the floor needs to be vacuumed. The work is never done!

Ms Bookworm said...

I don't think Murray could ever possibly come up with that much money in 2 or 3 lifetimes!

Lori, the vulture is adorable!

Lynn, wow! Cool surprise package!

Sharon, Sissy's pie recipe sounds GOOD!! Thanks to both of you!

Sandi said...

Do those of you who have watched Belle long enough to easily recognize her think we are looking at 2 new eagles?? People on this blog frequently refer to the "inverted V" in Belle's feathers (something that I never seem to be able to see) that readily identifies her. So, does the eagle that we're seeing now (the one that isn't Shep but seems to have a spot on its head) have that marking? I would hate to think that we've got a new female and don't want to jump to any conclusions, but from what I've read today, I'm just not sure what folks are suggesting. Clarify, please??

hedgie said...

Oh, Jo, just saw your post.....how awful. Geesh......how did you find out???

hedgie said...

Sandi, I don't think anyone here seriously thinks that it's anyone other than Belle. Paula thinks that they have both gotten into some yucky substance....maybe feeding on a deer carcass or some such....

Sandi said...

Lynn, Thx. BTW, I confirmed your friend request on FB! =)

I'm always game for a ride over to Sheperdstown. ☺

I don't hear anyone volunteering to take over working on this term paper for me (Adam)!

Lots of clunking...wish they would sit in the nest.

I guess maybe the weather is causing the delay for Kay.....she's flying out of Philly.

hedgie said...

LOL, DanaMo....that's why you hired the tutor, right??!!!!

Judy, Am aware of the Shepherdstown fan page on FB - thanks! Next time my screen freezes (I'm at 13 min. now), I've gotta start dinner and feed hungry dogs. Rats!

I really don't get out of work early enough...time is pretty squeezed up on my work days.
Nice idea, though, JudyE

a thought: without the live cam for so many days, we would not have heard any squawking or noisemaking...if there was any going on near the nest

But let's just stay Positive about everything....

Nice Advent Wreath, by the way, DanaMo....

hedgie said...

Aha...airport issued a WIND delay on in- and out-bound flights.

DanaMo said...

Thanks, the kids made Advent wreaths today in class. They came out really cute. I use mason jar rings, green clay, "birthday" candles and fake ivy leaves. I'm happy with the way they came out. Fr. is going to come over and bless them tomorrow.

Sounds great, DanaMo....get pictures!
Will the children keep them there at school, or take them home? and one last question
will you light them at school for them?

I have a classroom wreath that we light every morning at morning prayer. These are for home and they have been given strict instructions that they are only to be lit by their parents! We reviewed fire safety.

Someone is up on that cam! I have been hearing clunks

DanaMo said...

Now it sounds windy maybe it's just branches banging on the camera.

DanaMo I still have some handmade items that were given to me at Christmas
that the children made in Kindergarten.

Would part with them for the world and not even with 2 daughters cleaning out things would I let them be thrown away.

Ladies, you can change your time zone. It's easy, I just did it.
Go to your blog, click design. Then the tabs come up, click settings. Scroll down until you get to the time zones and change it to Eastern. Save changes.
