I put the two pictures from this morning on the Momster's Album as well as on my blog. We will have to see what people think. It really looks like both eagles have spots on their heads.
GM eagle buddies. Read yesterdays blog and glad to hear that Hedgie's news is encouraging. I seem to miss our eagles every day--oh well you all keep me posted as to the happenings. Hello there!!!! Cannot believe it but I slept until 8:45!!! Like a LOG! I WAS tired, wasn't I?? Sweet Liesl slept soundly, too. I had to wake her. It is raining....but still warm at 60°. Need to catch up here to see how all y'all are, but gotta hike out for the papers and get something to eat first!
GOOD MORNING... Sorry for the FACE PLANT last night...that is really what happens when I do a plant. Somtimes, it is worse. Just thought I'd leave it as is. Each time I deleted what I was typing, and start all over, it got worse. Capt. Gene and I went GG grocery shopping yesterday, and that always wears me out...can't wait for a NEW KNEE!
It is raining pretty hard right now, here in Martinsburg/Shepherdstown. Maybe, if the spots on our eagle pair are from a messy meal, this rain will wash it off. We'll see.
Just a quick ♪♫Good Morning1♪♫ I need to leave in about 20 min for my appointment. The doctor's office has moved and I have to find it in Fort Worth. Grrrr!
Lynn, glad you slep late, and Liesl, too! You obviously needed it! 36 here this morn, but sun shiney!
Read you reports on Belle having spots, too. Hmmmm??? More on..."as the nest turns"!
LORI, I loved what you said, first thing this morning, about LYNN and our prayers for her...THE LORD BLESSED THIS GROUP. What a wonderful way to look at Lynn's optimistic report!
Wanda, you're right! Lori has a great way with words---as so many here do! I know that 5th can't get here soon enough for you!! I just hope Tom can get you on the schedule right away!!
LYNN OR MARGY...know anything about an emergency or disturbance on W. Moler Av. last evening? We were going home from GG's when we saw three police cars in front of a house with flashing lights, then as we got to the stop light, an Advanced Life Support ambulance came on the scene. Good Morning Eaglebuds! Was able to sneak online, but it's starting to sprinkle, so probably turn off. They think there is an exposed line and that's why everything goes kapooey when it rains! Left to eat something yesterday evening & just missed the eagles. Then I did a loungechair plant! I thought on Sun. eve when I got lots of eagle caps, that both seemed to have head marks. Shep, who we assumed was the messy one left, but one remaining had spot on head???!!!!
Am so glad to hear Lynn's report. Like that the Dr. is so positive, too. And even better is that insurance will cover treatment! Hope you will have minimal discomfort. Back again. Gosh, just heard on the news this morning that it's supposed to get windy here Thursday and Friday! Oh, well, at least the yard will look nice for a COUPLE of days before it's all messed up again!

OMG, JO! You gave me goosebumps when I opened the box from you! Thank you!!!! I would have never dreamed such a darling, Vulture "Conservation Critter" even existed. That is the cutest thing I have ever seen and brought memories of my vulture babies rushing back. Thank you so much. (((Big Hug))) That is so sweet of you! I'm going to search online for a picture of it so I can put it on my blog for all to see... give me a minute.
home for lunch and puter is still up and runnin ERIC at work said he will look at it I will take it to him Thru so I will be without a puter for a while again
Oops, forgot to say last night that I, too, am relieved that Judy and her truck are okay. Valuable lesson for that young lady doing what she wasn't supposed to do!
Lori he is soooooo cute I have a wooden vulture my uncle made me I will have to take pic one day a show you its on my back porch It was my mom I should say and she gave it to me but my uncle made it
during lunch I have uploaded one mini video from last nite visit and in proccess of the last half of the video I edit to make shorter for blog and I am putting also on Shep facebook page one is there also in process of other and Thank you puter for not going down as if it listens LOL
Bowling was interesting. Our opposing team left without signing the score card. We have been in last place all season and we just beat them. Think they were in 4th place until now.
Sissy posted this on Facebook so I am going to share it here:
Here is my Christmas present to you all in loving memory of my Daddy, Wayne Crisco. It is his peanut butter pie recipe, charged me $4.95 plus tax for it years ago! LOL!!
1 envelope unflavored gelatin 1/2 cup boiling water 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 4 ounces of cream cheese 2/3 cup peanut butter 9 ounces Cool Whip 1 cup powdered sugar 1 9" graham cracker crust
Stir gelatin slowly into water and mix well. Cool to lukewarm. Whip cream cheese until soft, add vanilla, beat in sugar and peanut butter. Slowly add the gelatin mixture and mix well. Fold in Cool Whip and pour into graham cracker crust. Cool in icebox 2 hours or more.
It is awesome, best peanut butter pie I have ever eaten. No short cuts, follow directions exactly!!! ENJOY!
Home from the doctors. All checked out a o k! However, my blood presser was up...think that was because I had to find his office and find parking! He has recommended a new doctor who comes to Burleson once a week. Like that! He says this one will not be retiring. That is good! Tired of my doctors retiring on me!
Anyway, that is over for a year! Yea!
Jack has gone to the dentist and we will get down decorations when he returns.
Sharon, your Daddy's pie recipe sounds scrumptious! I think I could even attempt that one.
Thank you, JudyE, for all the work you do on the videos...glad you seem to enjoy it when your computer is cooperating. It really is nice to have them when I miss a visit. Very much appreciated, ma'am!
My teammates thought the other team was angry that we beat them. Unfortunately, we have to win another round before we move up. The way I understand it, they get knocked out of 4th place, but we stay in last place.
Bowling scoring is complicated.
I am told that the fact that I beat my own average made a big difference. (I have a large handicap.)
Shirley, agree that team scoring is difficult to understand! Have never figured it out! Bill has been league bowling for as long as I've known him, and it's still Greek to me!
Berkeley Co. animal control under voluntary Parvovirus quarantine Berkeley County (W.Va.) Animal Control has been affected with the Parvovirus, the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday. Parvovirus poses no danger to people, but is deadly to animals.
Just received a surprise package via UPS! When I opened it, found it to be from our sweet JO! And inside was a beautiful Redskins mug and another Chris Cooley shirt ( a different style from the one I got from CarolAnne and Lolly!!!!).....I am SO blessed with wonderful friends! THANKS, MEMA JO!!!!!!
Hi, Gang, I'm back again. Emma and I watched the coverage of the Conrad Murray trial, and turns out the judge sure wasn't too happy with Murray. Gave him the maximum sentence of 4 years in L.A. County Jail.(News commentators say he'll probably only serve 2 years due to overcrowding.) There will be a restitution hearing on Jan. 23rd to decide how much money Murray will have to pay. They're asking for $100 million, but they didn't document that amount well enough. The judge says they'd better document that thoroughly.
Do those of you who have watched Belle long enough to easily recognize her think we are looking at 2 new eagles?? People on this blog frequently refer to the "inverted V" in Belle's feathers (something that I never seem to be able to see) that readily identifies her. So, does the eagle that we're seeing now (the one that isn't Shep but seems to have a spot on its head) have that marking? I would hate to think that we've got a new female and don't want to jump to any conclusions, but from what I've read today, I'm just not sure what folks are suggesting. Clarify, please??
Sandi, I don't think anyone here seriously thinks that it's anyone other than Belle. Paula thinks that they have both gotten into some yucky substance....maybe feeding on a deer carcass or some such....
It is "pourin' the rain" here, as my former principal from Clendenin, WV used to say! =) But it looks like things have cleared up west of me, based on what I'm seeing at the nest. Would sure love to see some eagles today, with or without spots on their heads!
Well the computer must have shut it self down right as I walked out the door at lunch only Home for the day decided to come home instead of the cell phone tower eagles I figure when puter is with Eric getting fixed I can go see them since I won't have a puter
I didn't post the link to the video yet since I am working on this morning visit but they are under NEST VIDEO if anyone want to see them LORI I assumed you alread looked from your comment ANY NEWBEES there are video on there from the nest goes back till June I think and if you are on face book there are on the ShepherdstownFan Page from way way back
Just finished helping Adam with some research for his term paper. I have hired a fellow teacher to tutor him through it. I don't think I am up to the challenge of a 13 page junior term paper. It will be worth my money, but I was starting to read articles with him. He does better when it's read aloud, but I can't seem to get the book on audio which is bumming me out.
DanaMo...Jo found info that our local animal control is under a parvo quarantine. Very sad...... Hope Adam does okay with the term paper. Didn't realize that tutors helped with them! Is Adam feeling better this week??
DanaMo I am reposting Jo's post...in case you can't find it backwards from here: " Sad News Flash

Hey you all that live around the nest ought to meet one evening to check it out Make a party of it to seee if there is more than two eagles in the area I know if I lived up there I would be on board
also Sandi I am not very good at identifying the Eagles ... I know Shep has rather ugly "toes" or talons on his left foot..and of course for months he has had HIS head spot... other than that, I am sometimes rather lost about it... so I will just be watching and see what the experts here think
Judy, Am aware of the Shepherdstown fan page on FB - thanks! Next time my screen freezes (I'm at 13 min. now), I've gotta start dinner and feed hungry dogs. Rats!
Thanks, the kids made Advent wreaths today in class. They came out really cute. I use mason jar rings, green clay, "birthday" candles and fake ivy leaves. I'm happy with the way they came out. Fr. is going to come over and bless them tomorrow.
Sounds great, DanaMo....get pictures! Will the children keep them there at school, or take them home? and one last question will you light them at school for them?
Sounds great, DanaMo....get pictures! Will the children keep them there at school, or take them home? and one last question will you light them at school for them?
I have a classroom wreath that we light every morning at morning prayer. These are for home and they have been given strict instructions that they are only to be lit by their parents! We reviewed fire safety.
aw shucks! Thanks you guys. You make me feel so good about what I do in the classroom. I do hope the children will always treasure the things we make in kindergarten.
Thanks for the infor on the time now I know I need to go see what is on TV tonight I can never remember what is on what nite thank goodness for DVR now before I got the DVR I knew what was on shows how we let machines take over our lives AND thank you computer for not going down LOL
Ladies, you can change your time zone. It's easy, I just did it. Go to your blog, click design. Then the tabs come up, click settings. Scroll down until you get to the time zones and change it to Eastern. Save changes.

Refreshed and they are both here.
Jo had mentioned a few days ago about size differences, and colors...
these things are going through my head...
I see what you mean, Margy. Trying to get some pictures.
MARGY, that's why I sent you copies of my pics the other day, because they show spots on both of them.
Do we have two new eagles?
I was trying to show that they were both in the nest...then Shep left...and the one remaining in the nest had a spot on her head!
OK, I won't say anymore. I'm just glad someone else had noticed it.
Good Morning, Shirley! Cyclone!
Pictures on my blog. I think I see spots on both heads.

too bad they aren't banded. It would be nice to know.

This is very unusual for Hunter.
Me too, DanaMo. We need Paula to take a look. I have put the pictures on my blog, but not on the Momster's album yet.
Shirley, I hope Hunter is not sick. That's no fun.
Good morning my friends.
Hi, Thelma.
Has Belle or Shep been visiting this morning. I'm saying it again. Using Shep has really helped me. I love it.
Good Morning T- and any more Morning Pals...

the 20+ ornaments (all the same)for our gift giving to family members! $$ is tucked somewhere in the ornament - some of the children and grandchildren have them from years ago when we first started.
I am heading into Mothers she was up all night. Now right hand is better. Left hand pained her all night.
Sorry good afternoon everyone.
I'm just in a hurry.
Prayers for all those that need prayers whether human or creature.
I'm going to search online for a picture of it so I can put it on my blog for all to see... give me a minute.
home for lunch and puter is still up and runnin ERIC at work said he will look at it I will take it to him Thru so I will be without a puter for a while again
looks like you all have rain at the nest hUH looks wet
Okay. Vulture Conservation Critter is on my blog...too cute! I love you, Jo!
Vulture critter is ADORABLE:)
Oops, forgot to say last night that I, too, am relieved that Judy and her truck are okay. Valuable lesson for that young lady doing what she wasn't supposed to do!
Lori he is soooooo cute I have a wooden vulture my uncle made me I will have to take pic one day a show you its on my back porch It was my mom I should say and she gave it to me but my uncle made it
SOUP KITCHEN is waiting on me and I am still in my Jammies!

FRUIT SALAD
ASSORTED CRACKERS
APPLE/CRANBERRY JUICE. TEA, COFFEE
Oh, my.....what an adorable vulture baby!!!!!!! TOO CUTE!
Wanda, this rainy day is perfect for hot soup and sandwhiches! I'll bet they're grateful. Might be the only turkey a lot of them have, huh?
Yes indeed glad JUDYE is OK from the accident.
LORI, Too CUTE the little vulture.
LYNN I enjoyed the picture.
Off to the dentist. Talk to you all later.
Back from bowling.
Watching the judge in the Murray trial. Wow, that judge does not think much of Dr. Murray.
Lori - he is irresistible isn't he!
Just a thank you for sharing with us your real life little vultures! ♥
during lunch I have uploaded one mini video from last nite visit and in proccess of the last half of the video I edit to make shorter for blog and I am putting also on Shep facebook page one is there also in process of other and Thank you puter for not going down as if it listens LOL
I will put this am visit on also when I get home not enough time during lunch hour
Bowling was interesting. Our opposing team left without signing the score card. We have been in last place all season and we just beat them. Think they were in 4th place until now.
YEAH me I got two mini video of yesterday on blog sucessfully without going down down on both the blog and facebook will finish later after work
Sissy posted this on Facebook so I am going to share it here:
Here is my Christmas present to you all in loving memory of my Daddy, Wayne Crisco. It is his peanut butter pie recipe, charged me $4.95 plus tax for it years ago! LOL!!
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 ounces of cream cheese
2/3 cup peanut butter
9 ounces Cool Whip
1 cup powdered sugar
1 9" graham cracker crust
Stir gelatin slowly into water and mix well. Cool to lukewarm. Whip cream cheese until soft, add vanilla, beat in sugar and peanut butter. Slowly add the gelatin mixture and mix well. Fold in Cool Whip and pour into graham cracker crust. Cool in icebox 2 hours or more.
It is awesome, best peanut butter pie I have ever eaten. No short cuts, follow directions exactly!!! ENJOY!
Haven't made it to FB, Shar. Thanks for sharing Sissy's recipe....and to Sissy for letting us all in on your secret!!!!!! Can't wait to try it!!!
Does unflavored gelatin ever go bad? Have a box in the cupboard that's probably been there 10 yrs.!!!
I think it would still be good.
Recipe sounds delicious!!
Shirley, was the other team mad about something or just forgot to sign? COOL that you move up a notch!!!
Go Cyclone Shirley! Glad you could put "W" in the books.
Rain seems to have stopped....at least for now. Sky is brightening. Temp falling and wind is picking up.
Lolly, nice of the distant doc to "turn you over" to someone closer to home! Gee---he might give away all his business!
eagle!!!!
Just came floating in.
Something flew over the nest. Small bird?
Then our eagle poofed.
I just saw the tip of the wing when they took off.
Wow! Made a comment about Lori's vulture and the scrambbled word was MUNCHA! And that's what I'm doing~~~munching lunch!
Somehow I had a thought about our spotted eagles. Perhaps he's trying to WOO her by bringing chocolates! LOL
SUN is out!!!
A quick visit, huh?? Missed it. :(
Shirley, agree that team scoring is difficult to understand! Have never figured it out! Bill has been league bowling for as long as I've known him, and it's still Greek to me!
BE SURE TO LOOK AT SHARON'S BLOG
SQUIRREL IN NEST
IS THAT GEORGE?
Who is George? A former squirrel friend?
It is George. He traveled from the eagle's nest in Washington all the way to WV to visit our nest.

Berkeley Co. animal control under voluntary Parvovirus quarantine
Berkeley County (W.Va.) Animal Control has been affected with the Parvovirus, the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday. The county's animal control facility was put under a voluntary Parvovirus quarantine Monday, according to a release from Lt. Willie Johnson of the sheriff's department, which oversees animal control.
You are more then welcome, my friend! ♥
Yes, Lynn, we bowled three games, but we get credit for four wins. They told me how that happens, but I do not really understand it.
George is a well-traveled squirrel.
Our cam looks crystal clear right now.
Hi, Gang,
I'm back again.
Home from school and ready for an eagle visit.
Looks like the floor needs to be vacuumed. The work is never done!
I don't think Murray could ever possibly come up with that much money in 2 or 3 lifetimes!
Lori, the vulture is adorable!
Lynn, wow! Cool surprise package!
Sharon, Sissy's pie recipe sounds GOOD!! Thanks to both of you!
Oh, Jo, just saw your post.....how awful. Geesh......how did you find out???
Sandi, I don't think anyone here seriously thinks that it's anyone other than Belle. Paula thinks that they have both gotten into some yucky substance....maybe feeding on a deer carcass or some such....
Lynn, Thx. BTW, I confirmed your friend request on FB! =)
Buddy Training continues
I'm very sleepy. I think I need a nap.
Looks like the teachers are home from school...hello DanaMo and Sandi!
Lynn, gracias for the Buddy link. It's always wonderful to read about him. Wish I could hug him!
((((Hug for YOU, Lynn)))) How are you feeling today?
I didn't post the link to the video yet since I am working on this morning visit but they are under NEST VIDEO if anyone want to see them LORI I assumed you alread looked from your comment ANY NEWBEES there are video on there from the nest goes back till June I think and if you are on face book there are on the ShepherdstownFan Page from way way back
ok I am going to let the puter upload and won't want to over tax it So LM for me
Okay---oncology apptmt. is Th. 12/8 3:30PM.
I can't find Jo's post...what's up, is everything okay?
BTW I hear birds in the background! Yipee for sound! Both at school and home, like Sandi.
Just finished helping Adam with some research for his term paper. I have hired a fellow teacher to tutor him through it. I don't think I am up to the challenge of a 13 page junior term paper. It will be worth my money, but I was starting to read articles with him. He does better when it's read aloud, but I can't seem to get the book on audio which is bumming me out.
computer being bad 7 times
Kay's flight has been delayed......
Est. time of departure is now 5:30. ARGH!!! Hope she hasn't been stuck on the tarmac since 3:50....
That would be awful. I hope she hasn't been sitting on the plane that long either!
DanaMo...Jo found info that our local animal control is under a parvo quarantine. Very sad......
Hope Adam does okay with the term paper. Didn't realize that tutors helped with them! Is Adam feeling better this week??
Sandi, thanks for adding me as your friend!
DanaMo
I am reposting Jo's post...in case you can't find it backwards from here:

I hear / herad children at the day care center ☺
clunking
let hope I stay up
Sandi
We don't know anything for sure, just seem to see some unusual spot marks on the Eagle that was NOT Shep this morning...
Lori also was wondering the same thing a few days ago...on Sunday...
We just have to wait and watch and see some more
I hear noises near the cam now
come on I heard you all up top
Hey you all that live around the nest ought to meet one evening to check it out Make a party of it to seee if there is more than two eagles in the area I know if I lived up there I would be on board
SANDI are you aware that we have a fan page on facebook I put video on it all the time
I am holding my breath with this puter went down 8 times so far since I got home
I think we are being stood up
also Sandi
I am not very good at identifying the Eagles ...
I know Shep has rather ugly "toes" or talons on his left foot..and of course for months he has had HIS head spot...
other than that, I am sometimes rather lost about it...
so I will just be watching and see what the experts here think
Hedgie
Yay on the insurance with your oncologist, and also Yay on a swift making of your next appointment...
I'm always game for a ride over to Sheperdstown. ☺
I don't hear anyone volunteering to take over working on this term paper for me (Adam)!
Lots of clunking...wish they would sit in the nest.
I guess maybe the weather is causing the delay for Kay.....she's flying out of Philly.
LOL, DanaMo....that's why you hired the tutor, right??!!!!
Judy, Am aware of the Shepherdstown fan page on FB - thanks! Next time my screen freezes (I'm at 13 min. now), I've gotta start dinner and feed hungry dogs. Rats!
I really don't get out of work early enough...time is pretty squeezed up on my work days.
Nice idea, though, JudyE
a thought: without the live cam for so many days, we would not have heard any squawking or noisemaking...if there was any going on near the nest
But let's just stay Positive about everything....
Nice Advent Wreath, by the way, DanaMo....
Aha...airport issued a WIND delay on in- and out-bound flights.
Will the children keep them there at school, or take them home? and one last question
will you light them at school for them?

I have a classroom wreath that we light every morning at morning prayer. These are for home and they have been given strict instructions that they are only to be lit by their parents! We reviewed fire safety.
Someone is up on that cam! I have been hearing clunks
Now it sounds windy maybe it's just branches banging on the camera.
Posting a pic now on my blog. Give me a few...
So looks like we are being stood up tonight......
OOOOOh, very festive at your place, DanaMo! Nice!
Pics are great of the wreaths AND your lovely home, Dana!
Danamo so glad you posted pictures can see them better than your avatar I can't believe I haven't gone down It must be over it tantrum LOL
Hey did anyone notice the time stamp on Danamo pictures are three hours behind ??
It's the GMT thing, JudyE, something to do with Greenwich Mean time or something or other
Thanks for the answer, DanaMo, sounds lovely...the lighting of the candle during prayer each morning...
going to go ga-ga over your pictures now....
someone else will explain that time thing better...I know they have before, but CRS-ing it here, sorry
Whew---Kay is in the air.....took off 11 min. ago.
Wreaths are precious, DanaMo, nice work ! A Labor of Love.....
Blackwater has posted an update to their cam situations for the Eagle and Osprey nest cams, you can go here to click on links for more:
Blackwater Wildlife Refuge
aw shucks! Thanks you guys. You make me feel so good about what I do in the classroom. I do hope the children will always treasure the things we make in kindergarten.
Thanks for the Flight Updates, Lynn...
I have a zillion things to do, guess I better get started....
Best Wishes for a Good Evening, Eagle Pals
xoxo ♥
Actually, Judy and Margy, Google operates on PST.....that's why it's always three hrs. behind.
DanaMo I still have some handmade items that were given to me at Christmas
that the children made in Kindergarten.
Would part with them for the world and not even with 2 daughters cleaning out things would I let them be thrown away.
