That was fast, but always worth it.

Prayers for Lynn, and Linda and her mother. Hope we get to hear from both of them soon.

Well, it's bedtime for this Bonzo! See you in the morning. Sweetest dreams everyone.

Lolly said...

The nest is looking pretty good. Did they bring in "flugg" some time?

Lolly said...

Nite Bonzo, I, I mean Lori!

Lolly said...

Hi Sandi! So you teach 8th. I am a retired kinder teacher. My daughter, Laurel teaches 6th in middle school.

Lolly said...

Lynn, said she would be back this evening. Hope she is not too exhausted!! Waiting for you, Lynn!

Lolly said...

Listen to those geese!

Sandi said...

Lolly, There are those who say they'd never teach middle school; personally, I'd never teach kindergarten!! I started at the elementary level but, even then, it was 4th and 5th graders.

Sandi said...

OK, I surrender - guess I'll have to settle for just a glimpse of Shep! I have 2 hungry dogs and haven't even thought about dinner. Later!

DanaMo said...

I missed it again because I am on the phone with the idiots at DELL

DanaMo said...

I'm one of those Sandi! I could never teach 8th grade or any middle school grade for that matter. I love kindergarten ♥

JudyEddy said...

DanaMo said...

The beginning of the year is the hardest. They don't know ANYTHING (even though the parents think they are ready for college). Once we get going though they just absorb everything and they say the darnedest things! And they are so cute.

Hoda said...

Well THANK YOU SHARON and JUDIE for information on the messages LYNN sent. I continue prayers. Glad treatment is an option. Glad that there is the sense that LYNN is optomisitc...She knows more and I always wait for her to explain it so I can understand it. When I do research on it on google I feel overwhelmed and I get lost. LYNN explains things really well. SO the News from SHARON and JUDIE is much appreciated.

SHEP came for a short visit this is good. Continues to look a mess but he is eating, this morning's visit, and he is doing his boomerang routine...will be good to see them both with the live feed.

SANDI it was PAULA who suggested the download that brought you sound. Such a useful tool for classroom teaching.

Was an awesome yoga practice today and the tough/ aunful spot in the middle of my back when I woke up this morning s gone...I feel blessed and am full of GRATITUDE.

I did see the sun and some blue sky today also. I observe the Occupy Nelson Movement has moved their rather angry aggressive signs and replaced them with some pretty good art work that pleads the case of the HOMELESS.

What a relief DANAMO that you finished your cards/comments ahead of schedule.

SHIRLEY good luck in your efforts to help HUNTER with his quest.

CarolAnne said...

JUDYE - saw this, don't know if it will help.

The registry has been a central part of Windows since Windows '98, but it's one of the major reasons why computers will just shut down randomly. To fix this problem, you should look at using a "registry cleaner" to scan through the registry and fix any of the damaged settings or files that are inside it. Registry cleaners are software programs which scan through your system and allow it to quickly find and fix any number of issues inside your system. These programs are software tools and are very easy to use - you just need to download one from the Internet, install it and let it fix any of the issues on your PC. It will remove all the problems it finds and should make Windows run a lot more reliably again.

Hoda said...

make that awful not aunful!!! Sorry!! LOL inventing new words all the time this keyboard...not me obviously!!! just the key board!!!HA!!!

glo said...

Back from the shelter. Need to fix some supper.

and as far is Lynn What Mema Jo said. "So thankful she can receive treatment at City - I was thinking she may need
to make trips into VA.
All will be well with the good Lord in charge... Love that Lynn! ♥"

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!!!

Sandi said...

DanaMo, 8th graders say the darnedest things too, but many of them I wouldn't be able to post to this blog!! ;D JudyE, my older son is a computer geek w/ the US State Dept. and has warned me against registry cleaners. The "free" downloads will scan your computer, tell you that you have 5,387 registry errors, and then will fix 10 of them for free and say that you have to buy the full product to "fix" the rest. He claims that even the full versions that you buy create more problems than they solve.

CarolAnne said...

SANDI - good to know
Take note JUDYE

Sorry if I misled you!

Jewels said...

YEA!!!! Great news I see!!! I am still at work. Pulling 4 hours of OT. Much needed thus time of the year! Just asked mom and sis to bring me some grub, since I was not planning to stay late. They were eating at a local mexican place.

Mema Jo said...

Dinner was good - hamburger & fries!
I don't do that very often..

I do use a software cleaner - CCleaner
I downloaded it from internet & when I use it - I speed up - It is a simple program for me - a simple user.

Lolly said...

Talked with Laurel and then have been watching the news.

Sandi...I loved my kindergarteners! Laurel taught
2nd grade for a few years and then went to 6th. She subbed for me a few times, saw all the work I did and said she would never teach kinder. Now she says she would never teach 2nd again. I could have taught high school but said I would never go there! lol

Lolly said...

Just got on to see if Lynn had checked in.

paula eagleholic said...

Lolly said...

Laurel had 22 last night. We went down to 31. Have some yard clean up now. Yuk! We turned on our heat for the first time this morning.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I just have to tell you that I am happy with the news we have received so far on our Lynn!

I have to go pick Becky up from work. She is trying to get Chris to move out of the house but doesn't want to be there to fight with him. She wants to wait until he gets out. He has been really verbally abusive and she says she is done. I am so praying it is so this time before he ends up hurting her or the kids really bad. He can be downright evil sometimes.

So for tonight, her and Justin will be staying with us again. I love having them here!

Jewels said...

we have been really busy
apparently the messeges from mom were coming too late, as they are home now. LOL, I didn't even realize the time!! I have just an hr to go!!

Too funny Sandi!I don't think I want to know what they are saying these days!

In kindergarten though, we are working on our Christmas Play (yes, for those of you who don't know, I work in a Catholic School so it is a Christmas play ). The children got their parts today and we began practice. Whew, every year I worry if we will pull it together, and this year is no different. We only have 11 days to learn lines, movements, parts, etc!!! One thing I will say, I never realized that being a kindergarten teacher involved singing in front of groups and choreography. They are so adorable though and the parents really love it no matter how it turns out! ☺

Prayers for Diann's Surgery on Dec 1st this Thursday.

Thinking of Linda I don't see where anyone has heard. I just left a message of love and hugs on Linda's cell. If I hear back I will let you all know.

DanaMo said...

Oh Sharon, I hope she does stick to it. There is no sense putting herself or the children in harms way, and being with you is a good place for them to be! This parenting doesn't get any easier with age does it? We will protect them until our dying breath. I will keep you all in my prayers.

DanaMo said...

Prayers for Diann on Thursday. So many prayers needed.

My Aunt L. was diagnosed with breast cancer when Raschida was age 1. She lived way up in Virginia and would go down to Johns Hopkins for treatments. Then she had the Mastectomy. She was told in was in her lymph nodes. So she would stop by my work before going back to Baltimore for treatments. She was such a perfection in dressing. Her husband was high officer in the Navy. So she had many functions to attend and it just carried over into her every day life. When she stopped by work...She had this elegant silk scare wrapped around her head due to hair loss. She took it off and said, "Look I was just getting some fuzz back and there it will go again. Oh well she said." Mother would go help take care of her when she would come back to her home. (This is one of my Mothers sisters. It seem like each year something new would develope and it would be cancer. She helped their other sister through her breast surgery and she past from it going into her spine. Aunt L. said to me, "Why did she go and God keep me here?" I told her God was not finished with her here on this earth. He had a plan for her. Then their brothers wife got breast cancer. My Aunt L. even fighting her own cancer helped Mother take care of her. She too died. Again Aunt L. looked and me and came to me. I hugged her. She again said, "I have just been diagnosed with needing my spline and part of my stomach taken out due to cancer. She has breast cancer why did God take her and not me?" Again I told her, "That God had his plan for her and only HE knew what is was." Year after year I watched so many times she was told you have 3 weeks or 6 months. Every time another operation and treatments. She finally gave up and got wigs. Getting her hair back was a loosing battle. So many time in the hospital for phenomia or an infection. We both decided we seen more of each other in a hospital setting than any other place. This all started when Aunt L. was 55 years old. When ever I seen Mothers car pull up at my work with Aunt L. in the car I knew they found cancer again. She always stopped by for my prayers and hug cause she said, "I don't know if I will see you again this time." Again, and Again the doctors were wrong about the 3 weeks, 6 months and many other numbers she was given to live.
My Aunt L. died from COPD (never smoked a day in her life) at age 85going on almost 86 years of age.
The reason I am telling this is because, as she said, "Only God knows when I am going to meet HIM."

I love your Avatar PAULA.

SHARON, Prayers and blessings. Not much mileage in staying in an abusive relationship. There is no fixing them They have to want to change and they don't get it till they see that their behaviour will not be tolerated not excused away...Sorry your daughter had to know this lesson. She is in a good safe place tonight and that is a relief.

paula eagleholic said...

LOLLY how are the decorations coming along? Do take pictures and post on your blog...would love to see your tree. It sounds like it gets cold in TEXAS at night time...Did I read it correctly the temperatures go down to the thirties at night? That sounds cold for TEXAS.

Lolly said...

Hoda, we at times get down into the single digets. I am in north TX. I am from the Valley and it is Tropical. TX is a big state.

hedgie said...

Trying to catch up with you all while I appease Miss Liesl. She is full of herself. Poor baby was crated for almost 9 hrs!!!!

Thank you all for your prayers and love and support......I'm sure they all did the trick!!!! Feeling much better this evening. Will call oncologist tomorrow to set up that apptmt. Praying that he takes my insurance. Had a couple of dealings with him before when my old one was unavailable.

Christie and I ate at our local fav Mexican place, so tummy is full, AND I had a Margarita!!!

Hoda said...

LOL!!! LOLLY I know TEXAS is a big state and even for the Northern section I just did not know you went down to single digits too...It is like CANADA. 34 and snow here right now.

hedgie said...

Paula, would love your recipe for the biscuits. I have never found one good enough!!!

Carolyn is on her way home.....encountered a wreck, but did not impede her travel. She's one tired cookie, too. As is Christie.....she's been up since 4:30. And she leaves at 7 in the morning for a three day trip to Lancaster, PA for outlet shopping with her MIL and other in-laws.

wvgal_dana said...

Aw, even Jim joined in the prayer circle! Thanks, Gentleman Jim!!

Good to read all the encouraging stories. Surgeon said that I am a survivor. He said I shouldn't be here now after the previous diagnosis, so he knows that I will beat this round, too! hedgie said...

Thanks, Paula!!!! Will certainly be making those!!

Liesl is begging for attention, so since I'm caught up, think I'll head for the sofa with her for awhile. BB soon!

Paula, Lynn....I want the recipe, too! Pretty Please!☺

Lolly said...

Hoda, Jack broke another tooth on our way home. He thinks it has been cracked for a long while. Big part of his tooth broke off. He goes tomorrow to get the other crown patched as they drilled through it to work on the infection. Guess they will probably start on a new crown. Yikes!

Hey, Margy! Glad you had fun with the Jamester!!!

Delphia's weekend of rescue and release was great, wasn't it? She is so dedicated. Pray that her organization can get the funding they need for exxpansion.

Also pray that Diann gets the clearance for her surgery Th. She needs relief SO badly. My knee had been feeling better with inactivity, but it is starting to remind me that the tear is apparently still there. :(

Dr. said I can do whatever I feel like doing----drive as long as not taking the pain meds (I'm only taking one a day now), lift as long as I don't feel a pull in the incisional area---which has been fine with Liesl. Firewood will be okay....I'll just have to carry less at one time!

hedgie said...

Speaking of Hedgie.....went to PetSmart to get Liesl's food....they had a hedgehog dog toy! Cute as could be---but too big for this little pup!!

just not sure what time I go on...
have to work 8-4 anyway so ...
I just slip down when they say it's time...
will have to dress a little nicer, always a challenge to be like that for 8 hours.
Good time, while I am waiting to testify, to catch up on reading Guideposts...

Yea, Lynn. So glad you are feeling like driving, picking up Liesl, and carrying firewood. I am sure you know your limits.

Lolly said...

Aw shucks, Margy! You can't go in your bibs?

magpie said...

All sounds good, Lynn, but I second Paula's post....
steady as she goes...but don't overdo it, I can help with firewood, depending on how much you want brought in at one time....

hedgie said...

ARGH! Can't do it on this puter....it need to be flipped because my stupid phone reversed the image, and I can't do that on laptop. Will do it tomorrow on PC.

Lolly - LOL -
I DO have a pair of spiffy black cordurory bibs..they dress up pretty nice with a fancy blouse...☺
but guess I better not

Great posts MARGY. Glad you enjoyed your time with James the Wise. He sounds creative and interested also.

LYNN do not over do it with work and lifting. I am very glad Liesl had good lap time. She is a lucky puppy. Too cute about the Hedgie toy.

Paula, I love that song, too!!

Good luck with court tomorrow, Margy. Hope they don't make you sit there for long.

Well, Liesl appears ready for bed, and I am definitely ready for a soak.

Just want to thank you all again for your prayers, love and support...as well as for all of the cards in my mailbox again!!!!
I will surely need you all to get me through what comes next.....I can honestly say that chemo wasn't AWFUL, but it was SO fatiquing.....I dread that part!

I love you all. Sleep tight, and my prayers are for all of you.

WOW! It's so awesome that you are feeling up and optimistic, Lynn. We're with you all the way! I'll smile all day thinking about you and how the Lord has blessed this awesome group. :)

Poor Wanda! So tired and just before the BA Soup Kitchen tonight. I hope the rain doesn't keep anyone away who needs you. What's on the menu?

I love hearing all your teacher stories, DanaMo, Lolly, Sandi, Hoda and Shirley! Good luck on that project with Hunter, Shirley. Makes me glad I'm an adult!

Kay comes home from her Thansgiving trip to NJ today!!!

Prayers for Lynn, Diann and Linda. Oh, thank you LYNNE for passing along the info from Diann's email. Hope Linda will be able to get word to us of what's happening with her Mother, and how she's doing.

Early Birds, see you soon. JudyE, hope you fixed your computer. Sure wish I could get mine to recognize my camera! Can't live with 'em ... can't live without 'em!

Getting ready now for the long day...Tuesday is meeting day as they like to call it. I call it read your email aloud meeting. What's the point? :)
Sorry for the grump. Have a great day everyone!

DanaMo said...

Starting the morning at 60 degrees, oh my how I love it. BUT apparently the temps are going to drop instead of rise.

DanaMo said...

OH Lori, how I hate meetings! What a waste of time when people just read to you. Just send it in an email and get over yourself. I think those people just like to hear themselves talk and be authoritative. :P

Lori O. said...

LOL, DanaMO - I agree!

Glad you're loving the weather.

DanaMo said...

Just "turned" you on. Boy someone could read that wrong! LOL! Did I miss the Grinch song :(

Lori O. said...

DanaMo said...

Listening to Lori about relieving stress...okay a "green" dot! hmm...
The pet thing is good! Maybe people should just stop and remember that Christmas isn't about all the "stuff". LOL!

DanaMo said...

Good Morning JudyE and Sandi!

Great idea, Judy, about videoing DanaMo's play! I'd love to see it, too.

DanaMo said...

I can't believe I missed the Chipmunks!

JudyEddy said...

HEY my camera has not stopped again at the 14 something mark 28 min and counting I guess may bee a new function not turning off I hope

DanaMo said...

I'm always too busy "directing" to video it. And when the parents video it they, of course, focus on their own child. Maybe I could set up a tri-pod with my Flip video cam on it.

DanaMo said...

JudyE mine stopped at 17 something last night instead of the 14:54

JudyEddy said...

Hey DanaMo do you have a facebook page for your class That the videos from the parents could post Jordyns school has a facebook page and it so neat that parents post pic on it Just a thought

JudyEddy said...

Oh may be mine didn't stop because I really didn't just open it It was up all nite and I just had the big arrow to click on this am Maybe that is why I think

JudyEddy said...

Our store even has its own facebook page Our new boss when he got to the store only 94 likes now it is up to 245 He always mentions it at meeting I hear. I don't go to the meeting because with my one deaf ear it is hard to hear at times. He sure has a way with people I really like him

JudyEddy said...

64° out now hi of 70° cold front came suppose to get upper 40° tonite BRRR

DanaMo said...

We do have a school FB page and I have a kindergarten blog, neither gets much traffic. I also have a webpage which sees more traffic, but I email my parents links to my videos on picasa. I'm afraid that parents may not want images of their children out of FB and the rest of the world wide web. That's why I don't post pictures of the children on my blog. I'm afraid I would get myself in trouble. I often want to share my pictures with all of you because some of them are so cute, but I'm afraid of privacy. I have some awesome animoto videos that I have made and would love to show, but I can't chance it.

DanaMo said...

I'm surprised her school let's people post. I even have "talent" release forms from all my students but I don't feel like that gives me permission to put it out there. I don't tag names either, but still I'm just worried a parent would get upset.

JudyEddy said...

Jordyns school got permission slips for all the childrens parents also There are a few foster kids there that aren't suppose to be put on so I can see a issue with it All pic have to be approved before posting by the school I guess they check the list for approvals
