Okay I have been working with a friend getting all the quilt squares sewn together. Now I have the backing and filling to do tomorrow, then I am going to sew buttons at the the intersections. Hopefully my wall hanging will be complete by Thursday night! The auction is Sunday! Yikes
Got a lot of catching up to do since I have been busy sewing. Will have to catch up in the morning. Glad Lori is okay. Want to read about Lolly's grandson, but need time...I'll catch the morning crew for sure tomorrow! LOL
oh brother....he is now coming up with names. Fishface. Troutlips. His idea of good eagle names. We are going to need to have a talk. On the other hand, I suppose as fish eating birds these names are, uh, eagle like.
This is awesome...it is possible to change the choice I made and press vote and it changes the information on the calculation/tabulation section. Very efficient indeed. Lots of fun too I see it is going to be an exciting week...THANKS PAULA
too early for Christmas music. However, we have cleared a place on the top of the file cabinet in the reception area at work....one of my coworkers is bringing a CD player so we can listen to it after Thanksgiving!
I will likely watch the Christmas movies on Hallmark each weekend though....LOVE THEM!
The sandperson has arrived to remind me I need to meet with 100 wannabe adults in the morning. My impression is I should try to get some sleep.
The night light is on for anyone who may need to go back the hallway, up the stairs, to the tub, arrive late from the West coast, or need to arise in the darkness. Restful sleep for all. May the early birds enjoy an eagle visit.
It's interesting to see how autism touches so many lives.
I, too, have a dear friend who has a son who was born with cleft lip, cleft pallet, and along with other things, he is autistic.
He spent much of his very early years having corrective surgeries, eating from a feeding tube until he was about 6. Communication was difficult for him verbally, but he was so darn smart! He found his own ways to communicate.
His intelligence always amazed me. It was like you could see the gears working inside his little head.
My friend struggled with finding him the help he really needed in his teenage years and finally found out about a special school in D.C.
She actually packed her bags and told her husband she was going to D.C. He traveled so much it didn't matter where he came home, so he said we'll keep our FL home and see how things go in D.C.
I don't know the name of the school, but Richie is doing really well learning to do things for himself and his parents even ended up buying a place there as well.
That's a Mom for you......making the necessary sacrifices for her children.
Autism can be ever so slight or very disabling ...... and anywhere in between.
Chuck Colson's daughter Emily wrote a book about her breakthrough with her son Max called, "Dancing with Max," who is 19 and autistic. Chuck Colson has a daily radio broadcast on Christian Radio called BreakPoint.

We are still having aftershocks. Not as big as the OK one, but still an aftershock from the August quake.
Hunter gets to go bowling with me tomorrow since he has no school. I wonder if others will bring children. This is a senior league, so most are grandparents, but some others do watch their grandkids. I can let Hunter get his own lane and bowl if he wants to.
Laurel called, she wanted our input on a form she is filling out for Jacob. He was tested for Expo, the name for the talented and gifted classes in Denton. Now she is filling out her form. Interesting...we answered the same, so we feel good about it.
Love Linda's bluebirds!!!!After several tries, Blogger let me comment! I have a photo taken by Michael Smith of probably a record 13 BBs huddled together on a cold winter's AM in what looks like hole in a tree, not BB house. Love them & we do see them in winter.
Lori, so sorry about the collision. So glad you are OK. What irony that a vet tech could help the deer from suffering. I would probably be too upset to drive again. Take care.
Lolly, read about Zach. I'm sorry this has happened but so thankful you are aware of situation. Your help will do wonders. Prayers for him, tho from stories you tell, he seems like a normal, bright boy.
Sorry, I've gotta go---early AM work. Maybe I'll see a big bird in a nest at Park someday soon!☺ I can almost see nest pretty well now.
Prayers for good health and Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
I just hope that Hunter has a good time, and that I do not find out I have broken some rule by taking him with me.
He is old enough that I can just buy him some food, rent some shoes and let him bowl at another lane. We suggested taking a friend for him, but that hasn't worked out so far.
I don't think so either, Paula and Lynn. I think I remember reading a requirement that he is expected to stay in a certain area--in other words, children aren't supposed to get in the way of the bowlers. He can handle that.
Moon goes Full Thursday Nov 10 3:16 pm Eastern Standard Time
Thanks Lynne for the Full Moon names....I like Frosty Moon...
I have NOT gotten the alert from my naturalist friend in NY that the Tundra Swans are heading South yet..but some might be sneaking away when he is not looking Listen and Watch for Them !
I've read everything but missed mostly everyone... and it's late...workday Tuesday
I had a very nice evening with James the Wise Kidster...he was all about his homework tonight and did very well. Some of the Math things are starting to Click ☺
I offer the Standard: I care, and I am praying for our needs here
Good Night, Precious Pals... God Bless This Nest, and God Bless Us, Every One xoxo ♥
Thanks for your comments, Margy. For a long time now I have felt I wanted all of you to know. That way when I make comments about my Zach you will understand. We took both Joseph and Jacob to see the balloons in Albuquerque the year before kinder. Zach was not able to go with us. He does not adjust well to being away from his parents. (It all about routine!) That is partly due to them as well as his condition. We want to take him and have not ruled it out, but it is still in the future. We are really hoping to take him this next spring on a two night trip to east Texas. As it is now we have not kept him here in way over two years. Do not like that!!!!!
Time for me to say good night and to head to the shower.
Sweet dreams!! I am very thankful for my eagle pals!!! Love you!♥
Well, I've successfully gotten both Kubby & Emma tucked into bed. As soon as I got Kubby off to bed and returned to my recliner for more TV, Emma jumped up into my lap, snuggled in, and immediately fell asleep for over an hour! She was SOOOO busy all day today, that I guess she wore herself out! When she finally woke up I had to coax her into her crate, where she spends the night. She fell right back to sleep, and is snoring away.
Lolly, that's FANTASTIC that you've gotten so much rain today! YIPPEE!!!!! More expected tomorrow? WOW!!!
Golly, I got 2 more batches of work from the doctor's office today! They're sending bigger batches, too! YAY!!!
Saying some prayers for Linda to find just the right ENT doctor. Hope he/she can find out what's causing all that miserable pain!
Prayers for WV Dana's Mom, too. Hoping the doctor appt. tomorrow results in some major pain relief!
WV Dana, saying prayers for you, too! Hope your aches and pains go away, too!
The work gets easier with each report--guess practice makes perfect. I'm splitting up the reports so that I have the same number to do each day. They give me a full week to get them done, so not a problem so far. I've made templates to use, so they help, too.
DanaMo, would love to see a picture of your completed quilt!
Lori, saying some prayers that you won't be too sore and creaky tomorrow!
Paula, you've done a great job with the polls! I voted.
Well, think I'll call it a day. Can't get used to this time change. Have said prayers for everyone, and for all creatures. Making sure the porch light is on. Putting both security systems on night mode. Sleep well, everyone. Nothing but sweet dreams allowed! God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you! :o]
Feeling a little "creaky" today, but nothing unbearable. I should find out today how long my car will be in the body shop. Several years ago I hit black ice on I270 and this same shop did a quick, stress free and fast job.
Lynne, I love your avatar you clever, clever girl!
Lynn, praying for your health and Dr. appointment tomorrow - 2pm right? :) You are bathed in prayers and healing light.
My polling place gives out "I Voted" stickers which usually go on my purse until they fall off in a week or so.
Paula, thanks for the poll. I'm sure it's not as easy to put together as it appears.
gLORI, Loo just reported on a dead deer along one of the highways---someone else had a bad experience, too ! Glad you're only a bit creaky and hope some Ibuprophen or Tylonal takes care of that. Whew, close call ! So, are you digging back into the Christmas Room today ?
DANA, I must have missed something. Why must AnneMarie be at McDonald's right about now ? Surely not in order to make sure she has her daily allotment of salt, sugar and fat in one fell swoop.LOL ! You have to read SHIRLEY's post re:a meal at McDonald's yesterday for that to make sense.
Kudos to PAULA ! I am in awe of your ability to create the polling places ! Cool beans, huh, JUDY ?
LYNNE, neat avatar ! I voted in our poll late last night and in our Columbus and Ohio election by absentee a couple of weeks ago ! Feels good to exercise that right !
J.R. is THE reason to watch DWTS this season ! What a ray of sunshine that war hero is ! Good on the Rose Parade committee for their wise choice !
Just noticed my post is about 1 hour after either of you last "spoke". I may be all alone here. Guess it's also about an hour before daylight hits the nest. I'd better find something else to do for a while.
Fox News is interviewing the Bridging the Wastershed program and 10 students from St. Mary's are conducting a stream study at the Monocacy Battlefield and being filmed live! Programing starts at 6:30ish and they will be doing teases and then 4 minute segments about every hour about the program with hour students doing the "work".
Guess I didn't post that I finished the Christmas room yesterday before I took off and, well you know. Not only did I finish the room, but I wrapped several of the Christmas presents I already bought!!!
This is a good time to apologize for my station beginning to play Christmas music next Friday, the Friday before Thanksgiving as we do every year. I love it, but I know some think it's just too early. I can understand that position, too.
Oh too funny that you mention that Lori. My classroom aide loves your station for the Christmas music and told me to ask when Lou and Lori were going to start!
LOL, DanaMO! There are a lot of us who like it as soon as we can get it. It, the Christmas Music, just puts a skip in my step and a smile on my face. :)
DANA, that's a big Duh on my part. I now recall your telling about the Fox 5 thing yesterday. Sorry to be so forgetful !
LORI, good on you for finishing the Christmas room clean up and even getting a head start on present wrapping. I won't object to holiday music, I love it and always feel the season for it is too short ! I'm a bit of a Scrooge in some ways, doing only minimal decorating and taking the easy route with money and magazine subscriptions when I can. However, I love the season and the music !
Remember how we used to make fun of his feet ? Their feet look a lot alike now. Guess he's grown into his as he leaves his teens and reaches adulthood.
ok on the voting we are narrowing it down to 10 right and then what is the next goint to be the winner one or is there going to be another narrowing down vote??????
JUDY, if I'm reading your shorthand right, you're referring to the fact that our computer clocks and the cam clock are not in sync. Yes, that is normal.
and Best wishes to DanaMo's Annemarie on the Watershed Project...not sure I will get home in time to see the show at 5 Bravo and Clap Clap Clap in Advance to all the Students !
Lori: Hope you will feel all better soon and that the buggy gets fixed Pronto! Cute, "Margster..." has a nice ring to it ☺
Okay, off to take a shower and get ready for a routine doc appt today. Prayers for DanaWV's Mom for her doctor visit today... ...and for LYNN for her big appointment, which we are all praying about, tomorrow at 2PM. Positive thoughts today, Lynn...we'll send lots of them your way with the prayers.
I think I will try to burn pictures to disc again to see if it shuts down Because so far I have been up and I would rather it shut down and me take it it instead of waiting till this evening I don't know why it is being good this am It did go down 4 times last nite 605 720 745 1015 I wrote the times down
Morning all eagle watchers. Note to JudyE re: 'puter shutting down. When I had that, tech's couldn't find problem. Finally determined it was simply overheating. Now have it set on a fan cooling base. No more sudden shutdowns. Don't know if that could be your problem, just thought I'd throw it out there. Take care all!
OMGosh I am so tired. Just ordered pizza for dinner. And I still need to work on the quilt. YAWN!!!
I posted the link for the video of Annemarie at the Watershed on my picture blog! She actually got to speak. Great day. She is exhausted, fell asleep in the car on the 10 minute drive home!

Thanks, Paula! You done good.
The polls are up!
I split the names into 2 alphabetical lists, with the similar names split between the polls.
You can vote for 5 names on each poll....and you can change your vote until the poll ends.
Poll ends this Saturday night at Midnight, PST, or until I get up on Sunday and close the poll!
You must sign in with your Yahoo id and password to vote on the group site.
Sorry, the first poll is out of order! Don't know what happened there!
I voted! Very well done, Paula. Thanks for your work on this!
Hmmmm...well, maybe JR will win DWTS!
Definitely the two to be beat: Ricki and JR!
oh brother....he is now coming up with names. Fishface. Troutlips. His idea of good eagle names. We are going to need to have a talk. On the other hand, I suppose as fish eating birds these names are, uh, eagle like.
Oh I heard Christmas music this weekend on the radio...changed the station...I'm not ready yet!
I sent an email out about the polls and names, please check your EM mail
Gotta grab some dinner...
Hey Lynn, we get I Voted Today stickers at our polls here :)
LOL Lynne, glad the time for submitting names is over!
This is awesome...it is possible to change the choice I made and press vote and it changes the information on the calculation/tabulation section. Very efficient indeed. Lots of fun too I see it is going to be an exciting week...THANKS PAULA
yeah, me too Paula! LOL!
thanks for setting up us. Will be fun to watch the progress!
OMG you heard Christmas music already? What station?
Hoda, thank you for sharing with us today. I really appreciate that. (((Hugs)))
Christmas music was playing at Kohls when I was there today. However, it was very soft and I sorta blocked it out.
too early for Christmas music. However, we have cleared a place on the top of the file cabinet in the reception area at work....one of my coworkers is bringing a CD player so we can listen to it after Thanksgiving!
I will likely watch the Christmas movies on Hallmark each weekend though....LOVE THEM!
going to hit the shower....
Lynne, it was on the Delilah show on 101.9...heard it Friday night and Sunday night too.
You are welcome LOLLY. I felt like I was writing to family. Blessings...

DanaMo----I've set the DVR for Fox 5!
Can't wait to see the finished quilt. You go gal!
It's interesting to see how autism touches so many lives.

Another earthquake in OK and felt here in north Texas....didn't feel a thing.
Tornado in OK today, too. Hope we do not get that weather tomorrow, but there is a chance apparently.
Lolly, I wish we had your 70° this time of night. Down to 44° now--which is sure better than the 20's!!!
Is it still raining??
Shirley, bowling alleys are family friendly! Ours even has a kids room with all kinds of things to amuse them, and an "overseer."
Enough with these crazy quakes and tornadoes!!!! Geesh----too much weird weather phenomena for one year.
No more rain, but expecting more tomorrow when a front comes through.

Thanks, Hoda!
I'll sign off.
Very happy with the way the vote is set up and for being able to track the progress.
THANKS PAULA.
Good night sweet dreams and GOD BLESS.
Wow this is early!!
Gotta have Annemarie to the McDonalds at 5:30!
Dang Blogger ate my post...
Good Morning DanaMO!
JudyE hope you get to stay online without any anxiety this morning. ♥
I like the Going Geese Moon. What a cool name, Margy!
DWTS fans - did you know that JR Martinez is going to be the Grand Marshall for the Rose Parade this year?
DanaMo, I'll be watching Fox 5 this morning. Hope your quilt is coming along.
Morning Lori!
The quilt is coming along. Hopefully it will be finished tonight. By Thursday for sure.
That's what deadlines are for, right? :)
G☺☺d M☺rning LORI and DANA !
gLORI, Loo just reported on a dead deer along one of the highways---someone else had a bad experience, too !
Annemarie is going to be participating in a Fox News 5 segment this morning.
Good morning, Kay!!!
No they didn't get food, although it may be a stop on the way home. It was just the rendezvous point.
Oh too funny that you mention that Lori. My classroom aide loves your station for the Christmas music and told me to ask when Lou and Lori were going to start!
Frisbee wants to go to school with me today. He wants extra loving this morning!
Plenty of light at the nest, so come on Belle and you soon to be named male, you !
EAGLE IN THE NEST!
when did he get there
HEADS STRAIGHT TO THE EGG CUP AND PICKING AT IT.
good morning
looking up as if another eagle
JUST SITTING AT 10
BOTH EAGLES ARE NOW IN THE NEST.
ANOTHER EAGLE
Oops, went over to e-mail for a moment and of course, that's when the eagle landed. NOW ANOTHER !@
Good Morning, JUDYE!
Eagles ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺
my puter wend down only one time last nite 1015 I don't know what to do I hate to give it up
but I guess I must lets see if it goes down this am
Too much light for easy i.d., but judging by tail feathers it's the mail at 12 spot and Belle in the middle.
ONE EAGLE SITTING ON EDGE LOOKS LIKE ABOUT TO POOF
We need daylight colors!
What is the tail feather rule/difference, Kay?
FUNNY BOTH LOOKS LIKE THEY WANT TO BE IN SAME SPOT ON EDGE OF NEST
So good to have you back, JUDY ! Hope that puter continues to behave itself !
BEAKING
BOTH TO LEFT OF EGG CUP AT 10. ONE IS STANDING ON THE RAIL AT 10.
OR GET OUT OF MY FACE
The nest looks so messy!
COLORS
i STILL CAN'T SEE THE SPOT
Belle has a distinct crossing of black feathers showing against the white feathers. The male doesn't have that criss cross effect.
GLORIOUS COLOR NOW !
JUDY, he still has some of the spot, perhaps now a bit smaller, but it gets washed out in the early morning light. Shows up more later in the day.
Gracias, Kay!
There seems to be white spots on back also still below neck line
one is at 11 and the other at 6
STANDING ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE NEST NOW, AT 4 & 10. STILL CANNOT TELL WHICH IS WHICH.
looks like beaking again
POOF!
poof
Remember how we used to make fun of his feet ? Their feet look a lot alike now. Guess he's grown into his as he leaves his teens and reaches adulthood.
Belle remains, see the criss cross of black feathers ?
You know what they say about guys with big feet, Kay!
PAULAthanks for all the hard work on the poll
Sure will be glad to get the other camera back. Even if you refresh every 5 seconds you can't really keep up !
LOL, LORI ! I've had enough experience to tell you, it ain't necessarily so !
I See the Eagle
Not that Makes for a Good Morning Eagle Pals ! xox ♥
BELLE REMAINS ALONE IN THE NEST STANDING AT 10 -11...DOING HER USUAL MOSTLY STILL ROUTINE AND LOVING HER TIME ALONE IN THE NEST!
ok on the voting we are narrowing it down to 10 right and then what is the next goint to be the winner one or is there going to be another narrowing down vote??????
Happy to "see" you, MARGY ! Also happy to hear that the Kidster's math is beginning to sink in !!!!
BELLE IS NOW STANDING ON TOP OF THE RAIL AT 10:30...THEN SHE HOPS BACK DOWN AND BEGINS MOVING STICKS AROUND IN THE NEST CUP.

I will be off the puter again I am so PO'd
So sorry, Judy. You are having a tough time with that computer.
Helllooooo
NEW THREAD....☺
Gotta catch up on the news of the day.
Maybe an evening visit?
