Looked at your various pictures, Wanda. So many nice ones. Love all of the beautiful plants on the deck.

Having trouble typing. A cat is in the way.

Good Grief. Started dozing & now many have hit the hay. Pleasant Feather Dreams to all ;>)

Wrote lots of emails, & had phone call from TX. Both daughter & hubby are flying out to different places tomorrow. Kitty packed herself in both their suitcases!!She goes back to Albuquerque & he's been summoned across the pond to Wales! I had asked about her bee problem & since she took down hummer feeder, they are gone. They're having problems with cutter ants. Her gardenia that did poorly end of last year got cut back & was great this year. Now it is almost leafless as are the red tip shrubs! Jimmy was out w/a blow torch following their trails & blasting their hole, but being careful due to burn ban!!!!

Suzan - Miss hearing from you and I am very happy when we do! I can tell you are keeping up with the blog news!
I have been mainly staying inside in the
AC and hope you are doing the same. This
humidity does me in and I'm sure you'll agree with our lungs as to what I mean.
Stay Well - prayers for your health.

Shutting down. Have to hug a cat to type. He's almost on the keyboard. Good night all.

Costume Lady said...

Yes, Jo, that was an exciting catch. I don't know if Andy has ever caught one that big before or not. I understand that shark is a very tasty dish. Hoping Andy and Brandon will give us a sample:)

Costume Lady said...

Yes, it was good to hear from Suzan. Miss hearing about NC from her and Candy. Come and stay a while ladies:)

NCSuzan said...

Thank you everyone for your concern. Actually I am doing much better that I have in a long time. Makes me wonder why my doctors werfe not more pro-activ. I just hope it lasts! But yes, staying inside is a must. They are keeping me busy with physical therapy trying to build my strength back up. I feel very fortunate. I am so sorry that the dogs are having a rough go. I tend to agree that maybe hot weather is giving them a fit! I have to go for now. My brother, who lives in Mexico, calls me everyday and it is about that time. I know how close we are and my heart breaks for Linda. Will try to come on more but know that you are all very important to me. You have helped me keep my sanity in darker times! Have a great evening all.

Hi, Gang,
Well, the vet says Emma will be OK. He's treating her for Giardia. I have 5 packets of Panacur deworming granules that I have to moisten and mix in her food once a day for 5 days. They are sending out a stool sample for testing, too. Vet says Giardia is easy to catch at a dog park. It's a protozoan. Can get it from water, from dog poop, or from soil where dog poop used to be. Can cause loose stools that are lighter colored and look greasy or slimy. Can be intermittent or chronic, or even asymptomatic (no symptoms at all). Our girl was such a good puppy at the vet's! They all love her to pieces! She is quite fond of all of them, too. I'm sure she will be fine. She ate her dinner tonight with no coaxing needed, and her poop looks normal. YAY!!!!! Thanks to all of you for your concern, prayers, and thoughts of Emma! She says "WOOF, WOOF!"
Paula, I hope that Nick will be OK. Hopefully it won't be what Emma got. Maybe he just drank a HUGE amount of water-? Prayers that he's better soon!

Judie, sounds like your meatballs were quite a hit with everyone! I'm not a bit surprised that none are left! Glad you and Darth had a good time.

Lori, I'm so glad the yellow jackets are gone! That's wonderful news!!
Hope FloBear and Dalai are OK. Gosh, Emma has really started something!

Shirley, that's great that Luna is down to just one medication now! I'm sure it makes life MUCH simpler, and I'm happy that she's doing so well.

It is raining lightly here.

More Q pics? Oh, my....Margy will be drooling all over the puter and then blame its problems on Frontier!!

Suzan, so glad you stopped in---please don't be a stranger! Hope you are feeling much better. How is the weather for you? Hope it's cooler where you are than it is up here in Wild & Wonderful(?) WV.

Hoda...SO glad you saw the eagle and that she put on a good show for you!

Wanda, did Brandon let the shark go?? I mean---shark meat isn't edible is it??

Shirley, hoops was the only sport I ever played or was good at! Last time I shot some baskets was at SIL Shannon's fire hall----they have a perfect space for doing it when the trucks aren't in there!

paula eagleholic said...

Just heard some thunder, looks like we might get a little rain.

Goodnight Paula and all those who have gone to bed. God Bless and sweet dreams...God's Grace also goes to LINDA and her family.

hedgie said...

Okay....I made the split---Andy IS Q----I missed that somewhere along the line! Great pics!

hedgie said...

Oh, Hoda....you have really started something with the Canacians! You have such a great sense of repartee---along with many here! Our American Cousins phrase made me think about ol' Abe Lincoln.....watching Our American Cousin when John Wilkes Booth assassinated him. I have never seen that play. Anyone??

Ms Bookworm said...

Lynn, how is Liesl doing? I noticed that you mentioned she had some runny poo too! (My, what IS this?) Hope she is OK tomorrow.

Well, I need to go and veg in TV Land for a bit before hitting the hay.

Making sure the porch light is on. Prayers have been said for everyone, and every creature. Enabling both security systems. Sleep tight, everyone! God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]

hedgie said...

Paula---you have email.....:)

hedgie said...

Andy, so glad that treatment is underway for Emma.....if test comes back negative, assume that you don't have to give the med, right? Hug her for me.
Liesl is good....sleeping soundly!

I'm right behind you, Andy....and everyone else who has called it a day. Tub and book time for me.
See you all tomorrow. Prayers for all. Just a reminder that I love each and everyone of you. Thank you for being part of my life.

P.S. JUDIE: recap of the evening from a lost pet group leader in Waterford Lakes, FL:
Well... the National Night Out this evening was short lived. The good 'ol Florida weather reared it's brutal head, and it was called off before it even began. We're home, we're dry, we're letting the skin-pruning unwrinkle from the good torrential soaking, and Smudge is dry and nestled in his bed. What we do for the lil' Loveys.

You were SO lucky to have had dry weather!!!

PA Nana said...

Stopping by to wish everyone a good night. I'm too tired and sleepy to read and post tonight.

God grant you all a restful sleep.

Goodnight & God bless!

Goodnight to you and all who have gone to bed Sweet Dreams and God Bless. I think I will soon be logging off, hoping LOLLY will check in before too long...the grand kids must soon be heading to bed and her computer will be free...LOL...we have such a wonderful collection of Grand Parents here...

Costume Lady said...

Haven't gone to bed yet. Watched some program with Gene, about the plane crash in the Alps in l972. It was believed that the survivors ate the flesh of the dead to survive. They were critisized for doing so, but, hey...just sayin~

I told Megan that we missed her on here and were wondering what the next full moon will be called. This is what she said:

Megan wrote: "Full corn moon is probably the name most often used for August, also called sturgeon moon, moon when all things ripen, fruit moon"

I like THE FRUIT MOON.
Think I can sleep now...

Have been sitting here talking with Laurel. Great day today! Very good shopping for the boys. We went to one store...Kolhs and found all that we needed.

Jack got his tooth worked on and in 2 weeks the crown. No word from the doctor's office about the MRI.

Kay, you had all the facts correct! Good for you! LOL

Heading to bed now.

Good Wednesday Morning Wonderful Eagle Family!

I was up late last night so didn’t have a whole lot to read this morning.

JUDIE, so glad the party was a success with lots of big wigs and whirlybirds!
Sorry, I’ll miss the meatballs, though.

KAY, glad you survived the invasion of the Canacians! I saw that on Hoda’s post and knew the word would be bantered around like a tennis ball at Wimbledon. You and Judie did not disappoint! ((Big HUG)) first of the morning for you. Love those seven hearts and LIBERTY!

Thinking about LINDA. Need to go back and find the link that LYNN put up so I can write condolences. I guess they should be there by now, in Florida, and the funeral is tomorrow, Thursday, to summarize the info LYNN posted. Thanks for that LYNN.

Wanda, I loved your deckside water garden. Think it's too late to try one now? Do you leave water in over the winter? Have any fish in it?

ANDY, Emma, has exactly what my first Bully, Maffie, used to get – giardia. There’s a very good product on the market that will also help her tummy return to normal. It’s from Jarrow & called PetDophilous. It has all the good bacteria that dogs and cats need for their tummies since they are not the same as what humans need. You can also feed pumpkin to help loose poo. Just a big tablespoon of pumpkin in their food is enough.

LORETTA, sorry I forgot to comment earlier, (need one of those James Memory Pillows, too), how happy I am for you about the latest GOOD news on your work situation! Don’t know how you got tied up with Maxine (whom I love) but she kicked booty for you! 

NC SUZAN, GREAT to hear you’re feeling better. That’s not easy when you’re feeling bad. I think of you often, too, and will do my best to remember that you’re lurking…but you remember that not much will make you feel better than this wonderful family, so stay close. ♥

JO, so sorry about our loss of the meatballs to JUDIE’s hungry neighbors. Oh well, we tried.

The good news is that JO & SUZAN should feel better soon. Humidity and temps supposed to drop tomorrow after some possible big storms today. Bring it on!

PAULA, hope Nick's tummy is better. Not much worse than coming home to a doggy poo disaster and that smell. Where's the Lysol?

GLO, if you're lurking, I miss you, too! Belly rub for Dex.

Lori O. said...

Ya, really muggy here and 84 degrees. Expecting possibly severe thunderstorms & isolated tornados possible today, but it will break this hot spell and dry up some of the humidity. Great news for JO and SUZAN who both say the high humidity makes it more difficult for them to breathe.

They just had on the news that stingrays will be helping our soldiers That when a ray is wounded that the heal fast right away. The defense dept is studying them to see what can be used with treatment from the rays ( a mucous that they secrete) WOW 1.3million budget to study them wouldn't that be great

Please, please do it! Maybe then Kay and I will be able to see this elusive man!

Lori O. said...

JUDY, is the man just in the bark on the tree between the leaves?

Because I've been using the leaves to make my picture of this guy!

JudyEddy said...

Hi Suzan. Try to stay in touch when you can. So nice to hear from you.

Need to make myself presentable for the outside world. Will be back this afternoon. Wishing everyone a lovely morning.

Oh, about the sting ray -- nice to know how they heal so quickly but suspect it will be typical research where rays are intentionally injured to varying degrees to find out what happens☻
