Thanks to STEVE for the new thread and thanks to HODA for the call over !
After a quick skim of all I missed since late yesterday afternoon, just a few comments re: stuff on the old thread.
Happy to see LORI is on her way out of hot n' humid Florida and happy to see that LOLLY and daughter are making headway on that icky poo classroom !
MARGY, thanks for relaying info on LYNN's whereabouts ! Thanks for sharing your beautiful deer pic.
WANDA, GG is amazing. I wouldn't be able to get up unassisted if I knelt down as she did--and I'm "only" in my 70's. Love the latest avatar---you are beautiful people !
JUDYE, fun video of the troops having a good time w/the Spear's song. Reminds me of one several years ago a bunch of servicemen did a parody of "Don't Worry, Be Happy". It was all about Kosovo and that part of the world.
That bird an OC viewer talked about seeing on our nest was a Snowy Egret, I believe. That sure stretched the limits of our imagination ! LOL
Hi, Everyone, Well, I'm finally home from the Doctor's office & pharmacy! I have gout! (They DID take x-rays of my foot, too, just in case.) I will get an e-mail from my Dr. about the x-ray results. She has given me a prescription for colchicine tabs, 0.6 mg. Now that I've read the side-effects, I'm scared to take the stuff!
Have to change my diet, too. Oh, my--look up "gout diet" online. Can seldom have asparagus, cauliflower, spinach, mushrooms, & green peas. Only limited amounts of bacon, beef, pork, lamb, and liver. No large amount of ANY meat, really. That includes scallops!!!!! (Rats.) And I'm sure this will get to some of you at least--no beer! I seldom drink any, so no problem. One GOOD thing--I can eat lots of POPCORN!!!
Well, I need to try to find examples of menus for this, and I NEED to put my foot up! It's hollering at me! Will be back after dinner--whatever that turns out to be! LOL :oD Oh--and I have to be more active, too. (Tell me something I don't already know, please.):o[ Later, alligators!
Ok I'm not complaining but it is so quit in blog land It is raining here once again when they said 70% they meant it I need to go read only the few comments since I was home for lunch only 16 in my mailbox and 7 for the new thread I am so disappointed eagle buds LOL Just Kidding
OK, Andy, I looked up gout...looks like green peas are OK to have...and they said cherries can help get rid of gout...interesting, never knew what gout was...hope the medicine helps...they do say that diet is important!
ANDY, Ah, so, gout ! Someone else mentioned the possiblity of gout the other day, LYNN perhaps. Cutting down on meat is good for anyone, just a portion about the size of a pack of cards per day is all that's needed for good health. I learned a lot about diet and nutrition when diagnosed with Diabetes II. Thankfully I can have all those veggies, but really I think both diets boil down to a few taboos, but most things in moderation. You will feel better for it ! Good luck. Oh, and never read all the side effects of a drug---it'll scare you to death !☺ If, after taking the drug you note something that isn't quite right, call the doc, but don't obsess about those warnings ahead of time !
LORI Tripod and timmers on camera can do the trick and even if you don't have a tripod a table will hold camera I will be the first to do it It was so funny to do because I am not use to the timmer and I got some odd shots odd ones for sure
Thanks for the new thread and Hoda for the call over.
Hoda That eagle owl landing is really something. Sometimes when the wings are back it almost looks like a cat.
Oh sorry I having been here. Wasn't feeling well took nap. Feel better.
Andy our dear dear Andy so sorry that you have gout. Sounds like even the good foods are bad for a person anymore. No No don't read the side effects. If something doesn't act right after you take the meds the read and call doctor. TAke care get BETTER SOON!!! AND EAT SOMETHING !!!
KAY thanks for your good memory of the egret I couldn't remember Sorry for your gout ANDY my mom had it and she didn't eat a lot of read meat the dr said it can come from others stuff also her's were her medications that she was on
Another silly question If the go to the nest will we be able to see them on the still cam? Just sitting here looking at nest think how it would scare the crap out of someone if you were to see a hand
JUDYE do we know for sure that when they fix the cam it is that they will go there? Are they replacing the cam this time or am I misunderstanding some of the posts...?
Good Evening! I am wheezing like the devil (if he wheezes - lol) I thought that the rain cleared the air - guess it really is just me and my lung!
ANDY - All the movies you go to see that is good that you still can eat all the popcorn you want! Take your medicine & just be aware of anything unusual! I wish our Nurse Lynn were here to voice her opinion - Remember that Capt Gene had gout and Wanda may be able to suggest some things. The best to you and the changes you need to make.
Judy E - I think you were the one who reminded us about voting daily for Dr Sharpe ( my sweetie) and Mr Ed. Thanks for tonight's reminder Dana. I'll go do it now.
Lorie may be home by now if her flight was 4:00 boarding.
Some members go here and this is the pro-active news alert Water activities prohibited at Cowans Gap: All water activities at Cowans Gap State Park, including swimming, wading, boating and fishing, is prohibited until further notice, according to the park's website. Pennsylvania officials are testing the water at Cowans Gap after six children who had spent time recently at the Fulton County, Pa., park contracted E. coli.
Hi there, Lynne! Enjoy your BLT's. You know any reason for the power outage? When I lost my Tigress, my bed buddie, well I know your feelings about their absence. ((hugs))
I talked to Barbara tonight, I had to call her about taking another pinkie in. I asked her about our squirrel friends and she said that they were doing well and had been taken to another rehabber in Stafford. She now has over 30 pinkies! She was very excited to tell me that she got a red squirrel. Red squirrels are not known to be this far south. She was delighted to work with such an interesting squirrel.
Angie says Jordyn is feel some better she took a picture of her mouth and tongue to show her the boo boo from strep she laughed and wanted to keep looking at the picture funny kid Odd what they have them swab her mouth with Maalox and benadryl numbs it WHO KNEW!!
I took a couple pictures of a wet squirrel in the parking lot at work on top of the fence He just stood there for a while I was so close to him I could have touched him I think he was expecting some food LOL
Just viewed the link you-Tube that JudyE gave us last night, the Brittany Spears Sing-a- long - at 6:58 pm..which is a Hoot! so I wanted to share this, it's several years old but a lot of fun ! I hope it opens up for you: British Aircraft Marshalling
Thank you Steve and thank you Hoda for the call over.
Hoda, hope you enjoyed yoga class and completed all your errands.
Jo, please stay in until the humidity goes down.
Hope Lori had a "sweet" flight home.
Lynne2, many of us can empathize with missing a foot, underarm, curled around the neck furry companion. After Lily died, I would sometimes wake and think I saw her shadow just outside the bedroom door. Koko would jerk awake and look toward the door. Then, after Koko died, I would wake and think I saw both shadows outside the bedroom door. It was as if they were watching over me but could no longer cross the threshold. We understand.
Andy, gout is a form of arthritis. The pain and inflamation results from a build-up of uric acid. Diet is important but medication is the key. There may be side effects. Darth takes Endocine which stops the pain and swelling but he has to tolerate stomach upset.
JudyE, never bad-mouth your company or co-workers. Focus on suggestions for improvement.
Great news about the pinkies, Shirley. Cannot imagine the work involved -- sure speaks to dedication.
Going to put my feet up. Did some errands today and ankle is protesting.
glad to hear the pinkies are getting along well Shirley
Andrea, well, now you know...Gout...and I hope relief will come along swiftly and easily and that you find lots of foods that you CAN eat. You will get lots of suggestion on here and the rest of us will learn about it also
Snail Mail? Did sombody say Snail Mail? It was Lori and JO discussing it ☺ ☺ My mother insisted on us youngsters sending thank you cards, and with brothers and sisters away at college, it was fun to send and receive greetings from them Not to worry, I am NOT keeping Hallmark in businesss, just the Goodwill stores! And the postal service and Sticker Makers
LOL. Kay, you are so right! Icky Poo is putting it mildly! Going to stay in Denton one more day. Classroom is shaping up! See you all tomorrow evening.
Hey LOLLY ! You and Laurel are going to have such self-satisfaction when the job is done. I'll bet you've had some good laughs while working on the room. I love those mother-daughter moments !!!!
A note on the cam....they have sometimes done work on the cam, and we can see them doing it. Other times, the cam died, and they put a new one up, so we couldn't see them doing it. I'm sure they will be trimming the branch! I surely hope they will put up a new cam this year, since the infrared is so lousy.
PAULA, I know you're right about the cam and the variations of fixes, etc.. I, too, feel sure they will trim that branch off if they are up there. "They" watch the nest, too, and are bound to find it just as irritating as the rest of us do !
Hoda, thank you so much for the eagle owl video. So beautiful to watch - several times over.
Bet the soup kitchen and clothes closet were both a huge success tonight. Wanda and Gene will be slam wore out.
Not waiting for the sandperson. It is to be an early night for me. Tired and need to rest.
The night light is on for anyone who may need to arise in the dark or for anyone with gout who may stumble in from the West Coast. Restful sleep for all.
Margy thank you for posting this British Aircraft Marshalling. I have seen it before but enjoyed seeing it again. I could watch it several times. GREAT!!!!
a RED SQUIRREL??? WOW Shirley, I've only ever seen them up in the mountains, when we camp. We, uh, take along a bit of "compost" (cough cough and insert guilty look here) and place it around the bottoms of trees and the RS and Chippies come!
Judie....oh I know that feeling. I have a comic of something to that effect and I'll have to take a picture and post it.
LYNN2 Siblings in Nashville I say this the other day I have BayNews9 on my feed so I thought I would post for you to read
this is the facebook link didn't know if you wanted to like the page and that way you also can get the info and news from the area just a thought BayNews9
Watching the coverage of the Chinook helicopters... I have another newphew, marine, helicopter pilot he has been overseas, several times, last tour included swooping in to rescue injured soldiers he was one day away from his next deployment two years ago; his commmanding officer ordered that he stay and train other pilots; he did, is in California now doing that he's the younger brother of the newphew SEAL
Evening to Everyone! Almost dozing in front of TV, but on America's Got Talent, saw an old ladders act we used to do at U of MD in Gymkana!! I missed the beginning, but it could well be the MD group. I hung from the middle right outside edge of the ladder~~was simple--everyone just has to move at the same time! The guys in the center keep it all together.
and the third brother in that family is with Border Patrol/Homeland Security. He worked with Momster Diane F's husband for awhile in DC she and I and her husband talked about that during nest visit 2008 Small World
I am finally back home in PA trying to pick up where I left off in my life.
I just wanted to say hello and thank you all again for all your prayers, support, LOVE, cards and that beautiful arrangement. It is here at home with me and I will cherish it for as long as it lives!
Looking forward to catching up with all of you once I get things back on track here. Have to check in at work, get some work done here, have a dental appointment tomorrow, etc.
Life goes on, but I'm still with Billy in my heart ♥
Just on the NEWS the siblings are in Colorado Springs I will see if I can find a link by tomorrow Ok Nite powering down just wanted to add that the link I sent earlier about Tn was from a couple of days ago
oh my, the dental appointment, you can do that, but NO FALLS TRIPS OR STUMBLES !!
Best wishes on a smooth transition back to things of the day xoxo ♥ by the way Linda, my avatar is the Travelers' Cloud Angel....has been here for you this week, she is here also for Lynn, and Robyn, Tori and the teen traveling pals
I'm doing okay.......most of the time. If I keep busy, I'm good. You know how that is. I talk to Billy's wife often, which is kind of tough, but she needs to talk to someone who loved him dearly like I did.
God is with me and will get me through this. I know he will reveal things to me that will be positive from this whole experience.
Right now, I am looking for those things, because there was so much to deal with.
It was good to see my other 4 brothers all together for the first time in a while and we enjoyed talking about memories.
One day at a time. I have the advantage of a magnificent support group here!!! I love you all!
When we drove up through Virginia and the DC area I wanted to stop and look up the list of momsters who lived anywhere close to there. If we only could have planned a visit.
I felt like I needed to see some of you face to face. How wonderful that would have been!
a while back Linda, I put out the possibility of a fall get together in Gettysburg. How far is that from you? Nothing has been planned, I just put it out there!
Back again for awhile. Kathryn has gotten Hunter all packed for his adventures.
Every summer that she can, Susan likes to take Hunter for a couple of days. She usually takes him to Kings Dominion or the zoo or something like that. Hunter is going to go to work with Kathryn tomorrow morning so that Susan can pick him up from there.
Susan is bringing her car down to Kathryn's shop because it was damaged recently. She was parked at the mall where she works when a kid crashed into her car and did a considerable amount of damage. Fortunately, the kid was seen by a police officer who got the necessary information and left his card for Susan.
It is at times like this that it is convenient to have a family member who works at a body shop.
Kathryn and Susan had made all of these plans when Rebecca contacted Kathryn about inviting Hunter to go with Rus to the Redskins pre-season game. So, Rebecca will pick Hunter up from Susan's and he will stay a couple of nights with Rus and Rebecca and go to the game on Friday night.
He will be brought back home in time to play in a scrimmage game Saturday morning with his own team and then spend the rest of the weekend with his dad.
And, Saturday night Kathryn and I go to see Wicked with Susan.
MARGY I did not see any eagles tonight, but when we went close to the RCMP building we saw the Osprey nest with two osprey in attendance. They took off one at a time and circled us. I do not think they liked that we came towards them with the speed that we were going...it was the end of a drill and we got to rest not too far from their nest. It was a very good practice.
Thanks PAULA for the explanation in regards to what happens in case of camera replacement...They do a lot and I am very grateful.
Wowser I snuck back on... 'cuz I remembered Lori is still taveling or maybe at her Roost by now...we'll know in the morning ☺ so this Angel was for her too and any one going this way or that
Hoda - sounds wonderful seeing those ospreys....!!
And Shirley - that's is a lot of excitement coming for Hunter... sounds great !
Kay, I was thinking the same thing about GG. I would have a hard time getting up from that position. In fact, I would have a hard time getting down there.
always tough to close the Dinosaur out for the evening...'cause more folks will be on...with more news... so I will look forward to the rest of the posts in the morning
Shirley - Pre season Redskin game this Friday evening - Patrick, Christine and Samantha (10 yrs old) have their tickets. That is great for Hunter to get with Uncle Russ!
I am home.....too exhausted to even attempt to catch up here yet. All I want to do is get in the tub and relax!!! May read some and comment some later if I feel at all refreshed after bath. If not, I'll see y'all in the morning.
Patrick, Christine, and Samantha will be there, too. I am sure they are excited, Jo.
Kathryn was a bit worried that Hunter would be tired for his first scrimmage game. But he will be okay, and it is a wonderful opportunity. He is fortunate to have his aunts and uncles so close by.
Hunter and I went bowling again this afternoon. At first, he did not want to go, but then he asked what I was planning to do instead. I said that I was going to go to the farmer's market and then we might go play miniature golf.
He said that he thought it was too hot for miniature golf, and I said that I agreed, and that was why I thought about bowling.
He decided that bowling was a much better idea. After 4 games, I was pretty tired, but he wanted to keep bowling. I think he would still be there if he'd been allowed to keep going. (I would have collapsed by now!)
Welcome Home Traveler Lynn! We have missed you and our daily blog has been a bit quite without you. Is Liesl home yet... We are anxious to hear about her reactions when she saw you - want to know if she wagged her tail off! We will all TTUT ((hugs))
Do any of you remember Our Littlest Eaglet - Maggie - Helen aka Mits' 1st grandchild - today is her birthday. It is Maggie's 5th! Time goes by so fast!
Shirley - For the next couple days it's going to just be you and the dogs at home! That is going to be an adjustment for you. One that you will enjoy for a little while no doubt
Time to close it down . I am just hoping I don't cough too much throughout the night. I have regular dr appointment Thursday checking out blood work but will certainly address my breathing and coughing.
It will be quieter around here for awhile, that's for sure. And I just bought another gallon of milk.
The visit with Susan had been sort of in the plans for awhile, but the Redskins thing just came up today.
Funny thing was that just after she heard from Rebecca, Kathryn got an offer of four tickets and parking passes from a car dealership. She is going to ask for a rain check on that offer because Rebecca had already bought tickets.
Do take care of yourself, Jo. The air quality can't be too good right now. On tonight's news, there was an item about a fire in the Dismal Swamp that is causing smoke and haze over a large area along the East Coast.
Hi, Everyone, Oh, my! HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY TO LITTLE MAGGIE!
A big WELCOME BACK HOME to Linda & Dennis! Love your avatar, Linda! o good to have you back here!
WELCOME HOME TO LYNN, TOO! It's pretty late back there--bet you have to wait till morning to pick up Liesl. Wishing you a restful night's sleep!
Well, I'm getting tired, and my foot is yelling at me, so better go watch some mindless TV for a while, with my foot up!
Making sure the porch light is on. Enabling both security systems. Prayers are said for everyone, and every creature! God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you! :o]
It is good to know that LINDA and LYNN are safely home. Have missed both of them!
I heard on the news tonight that a plane coming from Florida, hit some pretty bad turbulence and some passengers were injured...is it possible LORI was on that plane? I guess we will know tomorrow morning.
Soup Kitchen was really jumping this evening...such a happy bunch of people. We had 40 some guests They all took home their free bags of groceries. Don't know what our homeless people do with their stash?? Tonight, in addition to many blue jeans, T-shirts, and shorts, we had children's games, stuffed animals, toys and that great big, glorious box of undies along with bed pillows, blankets, throws. bed spread and sheet set. GONE...everything ,except, 2 pairs of shorts and a game and a stuffed animal. Unbelievable! So happy they found things that they needed:)
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS SLEEP WELL PRAYERS FOR ALL PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING~
LORI, I think you said you'd be on the air from the home station today, so I'm thinking you may show up any moment.♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Woke up and can't bet back to sleep. Had to "doctor" a couple of huge skeeter bites I got late in the afternoon. I went out to check on the work done by tree surgeons earlier in the day. Ordinaraly the bites wouldn't concern me, but the City just sprayed a bog about a block away early yesterday morning. Mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus were found in their traps there. Now I'm imagining one escaped and nailed me and as I think about it I begin to itch alllll over ! LOL
LINDA, glad you and Dennis are safely home. Beautiful Avatar of you and Billy !
LYNN, also pleased that you are home ! You were sorely missed. Can't wait to hear all about the trip and house hunt. It's clear we're all dying to hear from you after your Liesl reunion this morning, too !
MARGY, those nephews are remarkable men ! You are justifiably proud !
Oh, WANDA, that plane that was diverted to Charleston, SC was a Miami to D.C. flight. I'm pretty sure LORI was on an Orlando to Baltimore flight.
SHIRLEY, what a great week your kids have planned for Hunter ! Guess you're going to have to do some cooking with milk---potato soup and tapioca pudding come to my mind. ☺
LORETTA, a great pic of Hidey ! It brings a lump to my throat to see the memorable eaglet. As far as we know, the last of Liberty's offspring. Sniff, sniff.
JUDYE - you are so efficient! That's exactly what I had in mind. Now, we know where you blog from and I have this great pic in my head - better than a phone call! Very cool Judy. Thanks!
Thanks to JUDYE and WV DANA for putting up the Vote links for Dr. Sharpe and Ed Clark.
All caught up reading for the moment & it's time to get ready for work.
No bad turbulance for me -- got home safely about 8:45 last night. Plane took off an hour late - shut it down on the tarmac because of storms here. There I was in a sea of 10 children under the age of 5 and they were all so good! sure glad to be home.
Welcome back to our LYNN and LINDA!!!
LINDA so glad you checked in. We worry about you and know it's a difficult time. Nice that Billy's wife has you to talk to, and vice versa. Your avatar is precious.
HODA, I'm thinking if everytime you say you're off to yoga, if we stop and yoga with you, we'd all be better off! Maybe we can Skype yoga - that would be funny...we'll call it Yoga with Hoda, or Hoda Yoga! ♥
KAY, you have certainly had your share of storms. I hope you are okay after last night's round of boomers. Sure had a lot of thunder & lightening while I was in Florida. So glad to be home!
JUDIE, hope you're well rested. I'll write an excuse for you if you don't want to go back to school yet! lol
LYNN, have fun with Leisl! Bet you missed her.
No rain today so maybe we will see our eagles visiting the nest this morning! See you later. Love to all!
Oh, WANDA, love your Clothes Closet & Soup Kitchen. I hope to have a big box of great things for you when we get together - somewhere - this fall. In fact, I will label a box today with your name on it for nice/gently used things to donate. I'm a huge admirer of your work for the less fortunate.
WANDA, it's wonderful to hear how well served the homeless and needy in your area are ! God Bless you, Gene and the other church members ! I sometimes marvel at the amount of stuff folks carry out of the little "boutique" at our food pantry. There is one old woman who gathers up so much stuff I'm pretty sure she's dispensing it to her needy neighbors---or maybe she sells it, I don't know. We don't ask questions. Fortunately stuff comes in from the community faster than we can deal with it anyway, so no harm done if someone takes a little extra.
Were you on a plane with the Octomom or Kate what's her face ? LOL
A couple of storms did hit here, one about 9:30 and another about 2 hours later. Spectacular lightning ! Supposedly that clears the air for a beautiful today and tomorrow--temps to be in the 80's and humidity more tolerable ! Yeah !
Thursday Julie, Seth, Malcolm and I are latching on to a good day and heading for Buckeye Lake for a picnic lunch and some walking. It's about 40 minutes away. The lake is closed, as are many in Ohio this year, due to algae. We wouldn't have wanted to take a dip anyway.
Hope you aren't too tired and looking forward to hearing your voice a little later. If I don't konk out, that is ! ☺
Goodness KAY, you're up early! I hope you were able to get back to sleep. You sure have had your share of storms this summer, haven't you. Not too bad as long as you keep your power and there's no damage.
A trip to the lake! How fun. Does your grand dog get to go? :)
G☼☼d M☼rning gL♥RI ! Yes, I did get more sleep and will probably get even more before long. Guess I'm just going to give in to sleeping as and when I can and stop fussing with myself about how I ought to sleep from 11 to 8. Normal is apparently not for me.LOL
Yes, Malcolm will be going with us. Julie checked to be sure pets are allowed and they are. He's a good traveler.
It's good we at least have the still cam. Apparently a major fix or replacement is in the offing. Paula says she believes if they have to go into the tree, the offending leafy branch will be removed. Let's hope for that !
LORI, you mentioned the fun and camp like atmosphere amongst the group of broadcasters in Orlando. Were any from the Columbus market ? They're usually easily recognized---round on both sides and high in the middle OhiO.;o)
Good Morning One and all It doesn't look like we have no eagle again It is so hard to tell in the nest
LINDA Welcome home
LORI Welcome home to you also
LYNN Welcome back
LYNN2 this is the update for FOX13News- MyFoxTampaBay on Facebook Siblings in CO they sent a text to their mother we all have to dye sometimes That is so sad
JUDYE, those Dougherty Brothers are sure getting around if the reports of their being in Colorado are accurate. I'd hate to know they were in my hood---hope they are captured soon and without injury to anyone other than themselves ! Three brothers with the same bad blood, scary.
Drats, 97.1 went out on me--"this station currently not streaming, try again later". I tried again, but same message. Will wait a while and see if I can get it back.
DR LYNN A question Jordyn has whitish blister looking things on her tongue and posted a picture on my facebook wall well the Dr said it was strep and she did get a positive on the strep test but I have never as well as others have never heard of it getting on the tongue only on throat I thought it was thrush mouth but dr says strep

Hi, Everyone,

DANA I got the single chef too when I tried the eaglet on a branch link.
Vote for Ed Clark also
the Wildlife cam is so bright today can see both eaglets fine YEAH
Off to go watch the news I will use the start over feature BBL
I clicked on the Decorah link and the eaglet is on the branch still
DECORAH NEST lets see if this works
One of the eaglets is in the tub of water
Both eagles are in the tub now
ok now to go start over I said I was doing earlier and did I promise this time Hope LORI has a good flight home
I'll try it again Decorah Eagles. It does have a commerical on the video but you know it is a commerical. Here goes:
Dechorah Eagle on Branch
Of cource I had to mispell Eagle grrr I tried it it works
Huh no I didn't mispell it well good. ( :
The Decorah has turned and is facing the other direction but still on the limb.
I am wheezing like the devil (if he wheezes - lol) I thought
that the rain cleared the air - guess it
really is just me and my lung!
Judy E - I think you were the one who
reminded us about voting daily for
Dr Sharpe ( my sweetie) and Mr Ed.
Thanks for tonight's reminder Dana.
I'll go do it now.
Lorie may be home by now if her flight
was 4:00 boarding.
Evening all!
Not a great night last night missing my Mitzi. And then the dang power went out at 11:30 and didn't come on til almost 9am. UGH. Hot in here!
Hey JudyE, I haven't seen the news but I was wondering if there have been any developements on those 3 dangerous siblings on the crime spree?
ANDY....SO sorry about the Gout. I too have heard cherries are helpful, or 100% cherry juice, and I don't think you even need very much of it.
Getting ready to eat some BLTs with real home grown 'maters!
Sundown and the moon is up there
waiting to shine!
relief is on the way JoEllen, starting tomorrow evening! Drier air and cooler temps for several days!!
Some members go here and this is the pro-active news alert
Water activities prohibited at Cowans Gap: All water activities at Cowans Gap State Park, including swimming, wading, boating and fishing, is prohibited until further notice, according to the park's website. Pennsylvania officials are testing the water at Cowans Gap after six children who had spent time recently at the Fulton County, Pa., park contracted E. coli.
JO I am so sorry to read that you are wheezing because of the humidity...Do take care.
ANDY also sorry about the gout, it is possible to manage it from what I hear. Good luck with all the changes that need to happen.
I will be heading out to Dragon Boating in forty or so minutes so inbetween now and then I have to get ready so I will be in lurking mode...
I would laugh JUDYE if I saw a hand on the still cam all of a sudden and then try to direct things so the chap would trim the branch.LOL
Hi there, Lynne! Enjoy your BLT's.
You know any reason for the power outage? When I lost my Tigress, my
bed buddie, well I know your feelings about their absence. ((hugs))
LYNN2 They think they are in TN Their car was spotted but nothing else on the new
MEMA JO STAY INSIDE!!!!!!!!!!
Good advice Dana and I am heeding what you say!
I was watching OC Boardwalk cams to try and spot the Bragg Bunch! They called
to say that was tonight's activity & did I want any taffy brought home.
Oh they just did a close up on the eaget at Decorah. They are moving the cam around.
Eww nasty flies
I love the way they zoon to cool
THEY ARE SHOWING 3 BEAUTIFUL HORSES IN A FIELD AT DECORAH NOW!!!
I like the white one and OH I don't like it when in the middle of watching it goes to commercial what the heck it that all about anyway??
Do you have sound with it mine is not working
DUH I had the sound down I just clicked on it oops
The commerical it automatic..comes on every so often then goes right back to the Decorah Eaglet.
Just got this message from Susan on FB:
I talked to Barbara tonight, I had to call her about taking another pinkie in. I asked her about our squirrel friends and she said that they were doing well and had been taken to another rehabber in Stafford. She now has over 30 pinkies! She was very excited to tell me that she got a red squirrel. Red squirrels are not known to be this far south. She was delighted to work with such an interesting squirrel.
Gout--My ex had it, and it was caused by his blood pressure medication.
SHIRLEY Wow 30 - I admire her for her dedication with the pinkies that would be such a rewarding thing to do
SHIRLEY that is what caused my moms also
light is fading from our nest again and no eagle has blessed us with their presence
I would settle for a still cam visit come on eagles
Still waiting for Kathryn and Hunter to come home from football practice.
Hunter will be going to spend a couple of days with Susan and then will go spend some time with Rus and Rebecca.
Taking care of thirty pinkies must be exhausting. I hope she has help. I was afraid those little squirrels would not survive. They were so tiny.
I hear the garage door opening. BBL.
Angie says Jordyn is feel some better she took a picture of her mouth and tongue to show her the boo boo from strep she laughed and wanted to keep looking at the picture funny kid
Odd what they have them swab her mouth with Maalox and benadryl numbs it WHO KNEW!!
I took a couple pictures of a wet squirrel in the parking lot at work on top of the fence He just stood there for a while I was so close to him I could have touched him I think he was expecting some food LOL
Gonna go watch some mind numbing TV
I put the pictures of facebook

JUDYE, You have e-mail !
Hi everyone.
BBL
glad to hear the pinkies are getting along well Shirley
Andrea,
well, now you know...Gout...and I hope relief will come along swiftly and easily and that you find lots of foods that you CAN eat.
You will get lots of suggestion on here and the rest of us will learn about it also
So Andy what medications are you on. Check that out.
OH I LOVE IT I am dancing with it toooo cooool
Heading to tv
and I posted it on face book
JudyE
Your was a LOT of fun...I really enjoyed it
glad DanaWV made a post about it because I went back looking
Also loved that Eagle Owl landing in slow motion clip that HODA posted
Hope Lynn will be home soon
and hope to hear from Linda soon also
The moon is glorious hereabouts
hope Jo is watching like she was earlier
The President was at Dover when the two planes brought the soldiers home
said prayers over the 30 caskets
plants need water
back in a wee bit
Best wishes for a Good Evening to everyone in all our Eagle Corners
Prayers for a swift end to the terrible violence in the United Kingdom
and for safety of the peace-keepers and emergency workers
Snail Mail? Did sombody say Snail Mail? It was Lori and JO discussing it ☺ ☺
My mother insisted on us youngsters sending thank you cards, and with brothers and sisters away at college, it was fun to send and receive greetings from them
Not to worry, I am NOT keeping Hallmark in businesss, just the Goodwill stores!
And the postal service and Sticker Makers
Hope Hoda returns with reports of another Eagle Sighting
okay time to get wet with the plants
ttfn xoxo ♥
HODA, thanks for sharing the Eagle Owl landing. Spectacular !
MARGY, speaking of landings---oh, my, The Guide to Marshalling a Jet is terrific. What a fun guy !
LOL. Kay, you are so right! Icky Poo is putting it mildly! Going to stay in Denton one more day. Classroom is shaping up! See you all tomorrow evening.
Thanks Kay
My brother in law sent it to me in Feb 2008 - - one of the first You-Tubes I ever opened up on the Dinosaur ☺
And it was for a good cause, Cancer Research ♥
Okay Lolly!
Keep on getttin' it with Laurel !
Hi and Bye Lolly! Have fun with Laurel and the boys!
JO, sorry you have those darn wheezes, stay in, and out of those muggy wet breezes !♥♥♥
LYNNE, hmmmm BLT's with fresh homegrown tomatoes ! I love that meal, but want my tomato on the side, please. I hate soggy bread.
Did anyone watch the AEF cam this year??
News from AEF
Hey Lynne, I am having BLT's tonight, too!
PAULA, I know you're right about the cam and the variations of fixes, etc.. I, too, feel sure they will trim that branch off if they are up there. "They" watch the nest, too, and are bound to find it just as irritating as the rest of us do !
Lynne, I know what you mean about missing snuggling up with your Mitzi...
Oh, oh, here comes the rain, along with ominous thunder. Signing off for the night.
Praying for all in need !
♥L♥I♥B♥E♥R♥T♥Y !!!!!!!
Shirley...glad to hear the squirrels survived...and wow she has a lot to take care of!
Hoda, thanks for the owl video. Way cool.
It's nice to think of Mitzi reuniting with her past siblings, and meeting the Momster pets!
Wow JudyE...they have made it to Tennessee. That's not good.
Steve is listening to Blue Oyster Cult on the computer as I am blogging. My, they are noisy.
That's a sweet thought, Lynne
about Mitzi meeting other Momster pets and her siblings ♥
Would that make them Petsters?? ☺
LYNN2 Siblings in Nashville
I say this the other day I have BayNews9 on my feed so I thought I would post for you to read

he's the younger brother of the newphew SEAL
Evening to Everyone! Almost dozing in front of TV, but on America's Got Talent, saw an old ladders act we used to do at U of MD in Gymkana!! I missed the beginning, but it could well be the MD group. I hung from the middle right outside edge of the ladder~~was simple--everyone just has to move at the same time! The guys in the center keep it all together.
Hopev everyone had a good day ☺
and the third brother in that family is with Border Patrol/Homeland Security.
He worked with Momster Diane F's husband for awhile in DC
she and I and her husband talked about that during nest visit 2008
Small World
Well, Hello, Dear Friends!
HI LINDA! Welcome back...we missed you. How are you??
Welcome Home Linda and Dennis....we have all been looking forward to seeing you again...
and we're with you every step of the way!
(( Hugs ♥ ))
Don't have too many pictures of Billy and I. I seem to be the one taking the pictures most of the time!!
I found this one from about 4 years ago and it warms my heart. He sure loved his "Sis," which is what he always called me.
I think I will keep this as my avatar in his honor for a while.
oh my, the dental appointment, you can do that, but NO FALLS TRIPS OR STUMBLES !!
Best wishes on a smooth transition back to things of the day
xoxo ♥
by the way Linda, my avatar is the Travelers' Cloud Angel....has been here for you this week,
she is here also for Lynn, and Robyn, Tori and the teen traveling pals
It's a great picture Linda!
Thanks for the "welcome back!"
Ditto! A truly wonderful picture of you and Bill, Linda ♥ ♥
Oh, thanks, Margy! How thoughtful of you. I just love you. ♥♥♥
Is Lynn going to the b___ch to look at a place?
Have Robin and Tori arrived in CO? I pray for good news for Tori's possible lung transplant.
We Love You, Linda...
get some rest...
we will be here, every day
Good Night, Precious Pals
My prayers are with you
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
When we drove up through Virginia and the DC area I wanted to stop and look up the list of momsters who lived anywhere close to there. If we only could have planned a visit.
I felt like I needed to see some of you face to face. How wonderful that would have been!
Lynn left with Frank and Irene Sunday to check out some places in NC
She should be home tonight
It's a gathering we can work on arranging in the future, Linda ☺
a while back Linda, I put out the possibility of a fall get together in Gettysburg. How far is that from you? Nothing has been planned, I just put it out there!
'Night Friends xoxo ♥
Good evening,
Back again for awhile.
No visit, yet warm friendship on the bog tonight.
Thanks for those updates!
We're exhausted and are going to sleep now, but I just wanted to say good night for the first time in quite a long time to my dear eagle family!!
I have felt the prayers and love from the Momsters and appreciate it so very much.
May God Bless Each and Every One of You Tonight and Always ♥♥♥
Margy, what is you new email since you changed....I wanted to email you to say THANK YOU for my beautiful card!
Linda, welcome back, we've missed you. Love the picture of you and Billy.
Lynne - It doesn't matter how far it is. I'll make it, if at all possible.
I believe I am about 5 hours from the nest if that gives you any idea.
I'm heading to bed too. Tomorrow AM I am taking the "new" car back to the dealer for what will hopefully be the last time.
Good night and prayers for all!
Are you talking about Gettysburg, PA? That is about 3.5 hours. NO PROBLEM!
Thanks, Paula. It's good to be back.
I'm heading to bed as well.
Sweet Dreams....... xoxo ♥♥♥
Gettysburg would be closer than the nest, that's for sure!
Hi Linda,
Good to see you are safely home.
I figured you passed right through Fredericksburg on I-95, which is not my favorite highway. I hope it wasn't too traffic-filled when you were on it.
Very nice avatar.
I just had that thought pop into my head one night. Not too terribly far for most around these parts!
95 is to highways like Brother Cat is to felines.....
Welcome home LINDA. GREAT PICTURE OF YOU AND BILLY.
Gettysburg would be about 125 miles from here. No big deal at all.
Wowser I snuck back on...
'cuz I remembered Lori is still taveling or maybe at her Roost by now...we'll know in the morning ☺
so this Angel was for her too and any one going this way or that
Hoda - sounds wonderful seeing those ospreys....!!
And Shirley - that's is a lot of excitement coming for Hunter...
sounds great !
Just returned from watching Mystery
Theater - Need to read up to see what
I missed.
Kay, I was thinking the same thing about GG. I would have a hard time getting up from that position. In fact, I would have a hard time getting down there.
always tough to close the Dinosaur out for the evening...'cause more folks will be on...with more news...
so I will look forward to the rest of the posts in the morning
Sleep Sweetly, all
xoxo ♥
Shirley - Pre season Redskin game this
Friday evening - Patrick, Christine and Samantha (10 yrs old) have their
tickets. That is great for Hunter to
get with Uncle Russ!
Linda - So happy to see you back here
in the nest! You have been missed but
all prayers and thoughts have been with
you and the family! ((hugs))
Hi, Lynn!
Welcome home.
Welcome Home Lynn!!!
Shirley, sounds like Hunter has a great week coming up!
Pre season Skins game sounds like fun! I'm sure everyone will enjoy!
Welcome home LYNN.
We have missed you and our daily blog
has been a bit quite without you.
Is Liesl home yet... We are anxious to
hear about her reactions when she saw
you - want to know if she wagged her
tail off! We will all TTUT
((hugs))
We never did make it to the farmer's market.
Yeah, I was wondering about Liesl, too.
Do any of you remember Our Littlest
Eaglet - Maggie - Helen aka Mits'
1st grandchild - today is her birthday.
It is Maggie's 5th! Time goes by so
fast!
Happy birthday, Maggie!
Maybe Helen looks on here from time to time.
Shirley - For the next couple days it's
going to just be you and the dogs at
home! That is going to be an adjustment
for you. One that you will enjoy for
a little while no doubt
That moon must be bright - if you can look at the Still Cam......
As Paula said, I hope they do something
about the infrared light.....
I usually talk with Helen on FB on in email. She is doing well and still does
Zoo Cam on Wednesdays
Time to close it down .
I am just hoping I don't cough too much
throughout the night. I have regular dr appointment Thursday checking out blood work but will certainly address my
breathing and coughing.
Good Night Friends
God Bless and Peace to all
Hugs for everyone ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Do take care of yourself, Jo. The air quality can't be too good right now. On tonight's news, there was an item about a fire in the Dismal Swamp that is causing smoke and haze over a large area along the East Coast.
Hi, Everyone,
Oh, my!
Oops--almost forgot to mention, praying for the UK. May the violence end, and peace abound! Safety for our Chrissy and her family, too!
Amen, Andy. Really strange events in the UK.
Ready to head upstairs. I've started on an interesting book. Might read for awhile. It is nice to be able to sleep in after reading late at night.
I did get a very nice FB message from one of my students today. She was always such a nice girl, and I was so happy to hear from her.
Don't Forget My DadThe Son of The Chinook Pilot
Yea, the moon is pretty tonight! Can see it pretty good, no clouds here. Can see the nest, too.
Gnite for now.
(((Hugs for all♥)))
It is good to know that LINDA and LYNN are safely home.
We had 40 some guests
They all took home their free bags of groceries.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL
PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING~
Goodnight to all. I am signing off for now. God Bless and sweet dreams.
I think it is now tomorrow!!
Welcome home Linda! ☺ ♥
Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Lynn, Welcome home, too!!See you just snuck in the door. Bet there's a joyful reunion on Wed!!!
☺
And, (((((BIG HUGS))))
Aha, there you are LORI ! Yippee !!
Welcome back ! {{{{{{L♥RI}}}}}}}}
Goodness KAY, you're up early! I hope you were able to get back to sleep. You sure have had your share of storms this summer, haven't you. Not too bad as long as you keep your power and there's no damage.
A trip to the lake! How fun. Does your grand dog get to go? :)
No surprise, but the LIVE CAM is still down.
The STILL CAM is operational, and I'm so happy for that!
Beginning to see the outlines of some leaves obscuring our view of the nest! Praying for a visit from Belle & Truder!

That was my delete. Got mixed up and made a mess of it !
Okay, LORI, get those probs worked out and I'll be here, watching !
☼ now rising nicely, leaves becoming more distinct. Come on Belle n' Truder, the nest needs your attention !
LORI, you mentioned the fun and camp like atmosphere amongst the group of broadcasters in Orlando. Were any from the Columbus market ? They're usually easily recognized---round on both sides and high in the middle OhiO.;o)
