Alexis is about to lose her 1st tooth.
She has a very small cloth case in which she will keep it. Says she isn't selling it to the Tooth Fairy - keeping it to be able to show her own kids in the future. Her grandfather said it would be worth a 'nickel' - a little voice echoed 'a nickel?' I think a $ figure came up! Times have changed.
It would be wonderful and enlightening
if we could have a visit this evening.

No paddling today JUDYE...arms almost fell of during practice yesterday. It was a taxing practice, the toughest yet this season.

Have a young 4 pt. buck on the corn---Liesl is out on the deck mesmerized with him. She has been sitting staring at him for 10 mins. Usually she barks at the does and fawns......she must be in love!
JudyE----it is often caused by vitamin deficiency---take a daily multi-vit. It can also be a little touch of fungus....like thrush. Eat some yogurt, and apply Vit. E (just puncture a capsule with a pin and apply often).

LYNN the seventh of August in the morning was the last time we saw them on th elive feed. The morning coffee group recorded their visit. Ofcourse the camera was down a few days in between too, we do not know if they visited then or not.
I think perhaps Grandma worked the scores in such a way she would bring happiness to a young heart...
We also played a game in which people shoot Styrofoam balls at baskets on each other's guns. Kind of hard to explain, but I had to crawl into this thing and have these balls bouncing off me.
It was kind of fun, but I would likely elect to invite Hunter's friend to play this game with him next time.
We played against a woman and a girl who were relentless at shooting us.
Wow! An eagle visit! Two! So happy for you that you saw them!
Jack and I are going to watch a movie. We NEVER do that, but Michael gave us a DVD to watch.

Grandma refused to participate in the water balloon competition. I told him that there are some games he can enjoy doing with his friends that grandma just won't do.
Hi all....just wanted to ask for extra prayers for Steve and me. My former landlord, for whom he has been working, told him today that he will be leaving for FLA this evening and won't be back for at least a week or so. Therefore, no income at the moment. He says he has jury duty next week, (he's actually a resident of FLA) and he's decided to go early because he needs to make sure his boat is OK with the storm coming. I feel it was pretty shabby of him to not let Steve know well in advance. It's not like you get your jury duty notice a day in advance. But it is what it is. Steve has made himself available to work for this guy in an effort to bring in some money, and unfortunately has let himself be sort of "bullied" into being there every day all day, leaving little time to look for a real job.
Anyway, your prayers are very much appreciated!

Lynne, sorry the landlord left Steve high and dry...it is obviously the landlords fault, not Steve's! Keep supporting him, he really needs it now. Try local papers, internet, .gov sites, craigslist, MD employment website, etc. He just has to keep plugging away. Ask friends, etc.

10 pin is the big ball with the holes...you get to throw 2 balls per frame. Duckpin is the little balls and you get 3 balls per frame.

LYNNE2 You tell that STEVE of yours that he is not to shoulder the blame for the economy not being strong. He is caught in it but it is not his fault.It is happening all around the globe and many in Canada are in exaclty his situation.Would he consider going back to school to upgrade and retrain? Is there governement help for those who do that? There is such a program here,so I presume there is one there also.Instead of spiralling down asking him to see the opportunity in all of this and see what that would mean for him.If he breaks through the thinking of the down cycle, it is my fault, I must be doing something wrong and so on, there is more of a chance that he will get his ideas to manifest into a job.It is harder when the mind is feeling beaten by the circumstances. At least it is harder for me when my mind is beaten by the circumstances...when I move through it things tend to manifest as I have imagined them to be...VERY difficult situation he is in and we all send love and prayer your way...

Hoda, big drawback to drawing unemployment is that you can't really go to school because you have to be immediately available for work---any days, any hours.

He came downstairs about an hour ago because he has a scrape on his foot. I put on some Neosporin and a Band Aid. He is a bit apprehensive about the new school. His dad called tonight. Good for Tom.
We have been planning to have a crab feast on Sunday night. Rus just called to say that his model airplane flying group is meeting down here this weekend as well. of course, these things depend on Hurricane Irene.

Lynne2, so very sorry about Steve's circumstances. Can only echo what others have said. Situation is not his fault. I know this is going to sound crazy but has he thought about work at a restaurant? Most do their own training and college students are leaving for school. Most employees work shifts leaving time to do more serious search.
