Had to search for a "cooling" pic! Just found the Chelsea (mule) deer on a backup disc. Don't have the whole stable & collection of other animals I was using for a manger scene. Guess I'll have to fork out $$$ to Staples to do hard drive recovery. :>(
Paula, sorry you got stuck at workplace. I think I did my knee in when ankle got caught in keyboard cord. I had mammo done at Hosp. radiology & they asked if I had fallen in the past few months! I told them yes & I got a bright yellow wrist band that said "Fall Risk". I saved it--could come in handy!! LOL
OMG...all that wind and rain and hail in Hedgesville, and we only got 22 drops of rain, and very little wind. We are only appx. 12 miles from Lynn's neck of the woods. You'd think we would have gotten some rain, also...but NO!
I started watering everything that needs to be watered around here, early this morning when it was 69 degrees. Glad I did, cause we aren't getting anything from this stormy evening:( I'm beginning to feel like LOLLY, now...everything is looking puny or dying.
NO NO NO to a goat, Shirley. Our neighbor put goats in the woods in back of our house (where the Trail Cam is) put an electric fence up to keep them from coming too close to the house...they came on through the fence more than once. Destroyed many flowers and shrubs. In the area where they were put to keep down the weeds, they killed every fern, evergreen and shrub that I had planted. I thought they only ate grass...DUH!
Paula, welcome to the TRIP AND FALL CLUB! Hope your ankle will be back to normal tomorrow. Must have something to do with watching eagle cams too much:) How many of us does that make now, that have fallen?
Wanda, can't believe you didn't get the storm! It was sure not the kind of rain we need.....but I guess any helps---even if it's running off. Trucks can't get through on the far end of Melissa's road.....small cars can get around the trees they are saying.
Well now I feel guilty that I did not make PAULA an HONORARY CITIZEN OF CANADA for the day so she would have not gone to work...LOL KAY!!!
Cheque Book reconciled, and I feel gratitude for having all bills paid and money enough to cover my daily expenditures for the month.I always smile and feel gratitude. I had something to eat as I had forgotten about lunch, and now the computer and I are not getting along. It is slow and when ever I refresh it tells me it can not find the blog!!! UGH GEESH and so on...I also spoke on the phone with a friend and it was good to catch up to news...
PAULA so sorry for the desk episode hope foot get better
LYNN2 loved the picture love BROTHER CAT he is so cute
SHIRLEY I also agree just spray the ivy and the tree should be ok
LYNN so good to here that everyone is ok with the tree in skylight Scary for the kids I bet
I should have told LINDA to stop in but I know she has other things on her mind Well you all know if you are ever in Fl look me up my address is on the list the email list we got from LYNN I need to add my phone number is it to late LYNN? didn't know you wanted phone number also
I had the best Cheddar Broccoli soup I love the soup there I know its frozen but still good
...and another thing, Shirley, there are poison ivy sprays that will NOT kill a tree. That salesgirl must have been a DINGY! We use it all the time around here, we have lots. Spraying over the years has it pretty well under controll in our living area, but the woods are still full of it. The goats ate it and after we took them out of the woods, it grew back!
BREAKING NEWS: Gabby Gifford was on the Hill today!!! No confirmation that she voted. Walking with a cane. Appears to be talking with her comrades.....looks good! Hurray for her!
Oh, Lynn, glad you and your house didn't suffer any harm. Hope Melissa and the children are all safe and sound! Was Leisel barking at the sound of hail falling?
Bill has his profile wall as public so anyone can go on his page and view it not comment on it thanks for pointing it out MEMAJO LINDA should also know that Facebook has a special thing as when some one pass that the page can be left up for a tribute not forsure all details on it
No, Wanda, Liesl didn't seem to be upset...just curious---looking up at the sunroom roof! A couple of days ago, a really loud military jet was going over when we were out, and she was smart enough to look up at the sky, too!
Jeopardy is repeats, Diann! Alex said for 2 months! Guess he had his injury at a convenient time, huh?? Just messes up his vacation plans, I'm sure. Had to laugh---in his re-telling of what happened, he said when he jumped out of bed to chase the thief, he had to take time to put his shorts on! Unusual for a man his age to sleep naked! But his wife IS much younger!!! LOL!
Speaking of military planes...when Gene was stationed at Ft. Meade, Denise (2yrs. old) and I had an apartment near the base and when a plane would fly over, she would duck under the kitchen table. Thought they were going to bomb us. I guess it was something she saw on TV!
I have posted some DECK PHOTOS of my Tub water garden which Kay and Lori had asked to see. Nothing is as pretty as it should be this time of year. I really neglected everything. Even my water hyacinths aren't blooming...they should be jam-packed full of blossoms:( The first two photos are of the flowers 2 years ago. The last ones are from this morning. For SHIRLEY and LYNN...you can see how Gene has planned the shelter...just needs to find the time to put a real roof on.
PAULA do you think it a good idea to have a doctor look at your foot to just make sure things are OK...?You said it is swelling even though you have it wrapped...is it swelling in the wrap or was it swollen before you put the wrap? Are you able to drive? Is it your left foot?
WOW youo WV gals had some storms - nothing in Frederick...was hoping for at least a little. Glad you're all safe.
Also, hoping to see word from LINDA and an eagle in the nest. No to be yet I guess. KAY thanks for remembering that she's driving to FL.
LOLLY, any word on the MRI yet. Sometimes at bigger hospitals there's a radiology doc who writes the reports on the MRI and if that person is there sometimes they will let you know if it's nothing. Just impatient.
KAY! That is an absolutely gorgeous hibiscus...truly the prettiest I've ever seen. What a beautiful yellow.
Thanks JUDIE and MARGY for letting me know those are Tiger Swallowtails I have seen flitting around my purple cone flowers and butterfly bushes.
I'm going to check pic links in just a few mins got a pretty good storm here but no visible damage, thunder and a lot of rain then a rainbow young mom and Blessed from upstairs came down here for awhile we had a nice visit she offered to bring me spaghetti when she saw I was eating my bowl of cold cereal for dinner ♥ then Tom Sweetie showed up with a baked enchilada ☺
Lynn sorry to hear of that damage with limbs and debris strewn around and tree on skylight at Bill's daughter Prayers of Gratefulness, no one hurt there
Hello there Lori did the storms wake you up? Lolly was going to take Jack to dinner after the procedures today... hope to hear from her here soon also !
ECHO Paula: Yay for Gabby Giffords! What a strong and admirable woman she is.
HODA, I loved being called Lady Lori for the day! Gracias Seniorita!
WANDA, I am so excited to finally get to see you tub garden on your deck. Think it's too late for me to set one up now, or wait until next hell, or uh, summer? LOL!
bearded man almost looks like he has walrus teeth! He is quiet handsome ☺ he is almost facing straight down on the large branch at 5 o'clock leaves sometimes get in the way
PAULA hope your ankle is going to be alright. We are a group aren't we? Thanks God for Nurse Lynn.
LYNN, great to see the news of the juvie rescued in Ohio. They're so darn cute. I haven't been on WCV, is there any word on the eaglets besides NX being re-admitted to flight school?
Margy - shake and shake those eggs I think is what Wanda said! Any which way you can crack them! Well, you sure had a good dinner !
I am waiting for an email from trail cam of sil - another bear sighting and it must have been around 4 in the afternoon. Kristen is sticking close to home - no dog walking for her!
No MARGY, no storms here. Did hear some distant thunder, but no rain.
WANDA, your deck is gorgeous! All the plants and pots make it even prettier. Is that a canvas or nylon roog you have on it? I would love something like that here. Patio table umbrella isn't enough ... buy yours looks beautiful!
Sorry friends but I can see beautiful pics in the clouds but I can't read the leaves. Except for the one leaf shadow that looked like a horse - anyone remember that one on the tree trunk?
Jo, sure can see what a wonderful brother/uncle/friend that Billy must have been...and husband, too. Don't know if he and Lil had kids or not....guess we'll know tomorrow when the obit comes out. He was a good looking guy, too---- all the Cochran's are!! So many put it in a good perspective.....birthday/death day....all part of God's plan.
Paula, sorry about the sprain. Hope it heals very quickly after RICE.
Lynne2, love the pictures of Brother Cat. Love cats. Well, love most all animals.
So happy no one was injured at Bill's daughter's home. Hope the tree removal and repairs will not be too involved and expensive.
Shirley, if you get a goat I will drive south to take a look. Spray the poison ivy and then decide where to plant a tree.
Storm here earlier. Lots of heavy rain and wind and thunder. Sky bright now.
Shhhh! Don't tell. Decided to have spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Used 4 meatballs from the batch for tomorrow night's pot luck. Hope no one notices!
Goats - My one experience with renting a goat was years ago when my in-laws had a hill to0 treacherous to mow. Goats cleaned those weeds out lickety split. The goat was chained to a stake that didn't allow him anywhere except the hill I love 'kids' - my childhood friend raised goats - Did not like the Billy goat and did not care for goat's milk on my oatmeal..........
LORI I saw pictures of one of the released Norfolk eaglets a couple of days after it was released. It was recognizable by the purple band it has. In one of the pictures it was perched well in view and seemed healthy, with a view of the water I think. Another two pictures it was flying and again the band was visible. I am trying to think where I saw the pictures and I can not recall. The comment was made that the photographer had a very powerful camera...maybe it was on FB. Did anyone else see those photos?
Judie - you reminded me what it is we have to fix this Wed for dinner - Last Wed we were eating a delicious roast beef dinner when I little voice said "I wish we were eating spaghett" :( You know who!!!
WOW interesting story of the baby bird and the mom being fined 535. If you all hear any more let us know They should be able to bend the rules in this case she did let it go and was just trying to help it doing a good deed shouldn't be a bad thing.
WOW The eagle rescue is neat I love how he just sat there with her I would have loved to have been her
Cute Seagull story
No wonder my mom skin was so nice she did her nightly WINE being German we had wine with meals, all but me I would get sick every time I would drink it Think I am allergic to the sulfites
Looks like the sun is going down on the nest and no visit Bummer
MEMA JO Just read you question I always get the pick 2 I get the cheddar broccoli soup with bread and the sandwich is The Italian with tomato basil bread I love the tomato basil bread one day I want to buy a whole loaf Have any of you had it It is to dye for ok back to the rocking chair
No problem JUDIE! Your secret is safe. JO & JUDIE, you're making me hungry!
HUGS for MARVIN, JO!
HODA, thanks for the update on the Norfolk eaglets. It's so wonderful to think at least two of them are free to be eagles again. Big thanks to Wildlife Center Virginia!
WANDA, I was wondering if it was a canvas, or nylon ROOF on your deck, not roog.
need to start put everything to bed here then myself will check back before the journey to the pillows... maybe find an update from Lolly oh forgot I have to shake and break some eggs ttfn xoxo
Well, the thing is, of course, that the head of Neighborhood Watch ate 3 of the meatballs. Thanks for the tip about Sheetz meatball subs. I'll roll by there on my way to your place Wed. night. Thanks, Lori. We gals need to stick together.
Typical Darth story. Fixed the meatball recipe last year. He said no one would eat them. Every last one was gone in ~15 minutes. He was truly amazed.
OK, you ladies have me ROFLMBO! Started off with LORI'S ROOG. Of course I knew what she meant, but I snorted 3 times before I could read on. Somehow, typos this time of the evening are soooo funny! MEATBALLS...I'll never eat another plate of spaghetti without counting the meatballs:) Jo, you haven't fixed Alexis spaghetti in so long! Tell her it will make hair grow on her chest...my dad's words to me and I wanted hair there because he had it:)
The old man that everyone is seeing does he have a full beard if so I see him and he is looking down right?? and you can only see his one eye and his nose and his full beard he has short black hair also JUDIE we on the blog will go to our graves before we tell anyone about the meatballs What meatballs LOL
MEMA JO I do have a neck pillow from my Dr years ago I love it
MAGPIE I loved the Good Nighty Jude I would have known it was me
I had to look before I shut her down for the night so I finished reading see ya in the am bright and early YEAH WE HAVE LIVE CAM back even though a new resident has taken over the Leaf family LOL
Sweet dreams and ditto from earlier on the prayers
Lynn, so awful about that sunroof but thank God no one was hurt. And so sorry about the mess in your yard. We had really creep yellow skies for a while, thunder and still lots of lightning but no rain.
so, Margy....Tom Sweetie paid a visit, eh?
ARRRRGGHHHHHH!!!! Kristen has another bear sighting??? I'm just NEVER gonna see a bear :(
That baby bird story is just about as insane as the people getting fined for having a garden in the front yard.
LORI, you are probably back in dreamland...will repeat this is the morning hour. The ROOG is a silver, fairly heavyweight, tarp. Gene put it up last summer due to lack of funds and time to put the real thing up. It was up all Winter and withstood all the snow because he slanted the roofline. It will probably be another year before time allows a permanant roof. Will be putting up the same kind of roof that is on my old shop, directly out from the deck. Looks nice and keeps the building cool. I forget what it is called.
The remaining NBG eaglet is scheduled to be weighed in the morning. Hoda, I didn't see anything about the one being sighted and photographed....did they have a pic??? Cool!
Wanda Too Funny! The hair on the chest story! Uh...do you?? ROFL !!
Yes, shake shake shake shake worked great, only had one egg that a small portion of the boiled yolk came off too ! Thank You, and Thanks to Jo for remembering what I forgot !
JudyE described well what I see when I look for the handsome bearded man that Shirley discovered for us Who needs eagles, we have a nice doggy and a handsome man !
I am sad for Linda....sad for the family....sad for their sudden loss. I appreciate all those on here posting information that is on Facebook that I cannot see (( Hugs and Prayers across the Miles,Linda ♥ ))
Good Grief, Margy!! What appt. did I miss today?? Only thing somewhat medical here today was surgery on broiled steaks!! ☺
Answering emails---got note from gal who is now in charge at Chelsea. She said she feels as if she's grieving.Been dpressed this weekend, but after I read that all of a sudden I got mad & now I will try to be Maxine! From defense to offense!
Wanda, I am so happy you have a silver roog, but I was wondering about why you installed such a thing due to lack of funds. Silver roogs are quite valuable.
I just gave Marvin his hugs and told him they were from you, Lori. I'll need to give Scar scratches behind his ear and tell him it's from you too - don't want any jealous cats around here.
I miss Megan
9:00 show was good - just don't know what next week will bring...
I meant to ask if those of you w/hummingbird feeders are having pesky yellow jackets come around?? I don't remember this problem much in the past & the ant trap takes care of those, but don't know what to do for bees. My daughter in TX had to take feeder down because of so many bees & she's somewhat allergic. I refilled my feeder and this afternoon little Ms. Hummer who hardly gets to stay there, sat and 2 yj's popped up and scared her away.
Lorretta, I posted earlier for Lynn....I have a HB feeder with "wasp/bee" guards. Little things that cover the ports enough so that the bees can't get to the nectar, but the hummers can. They get discouraged and leave.
BTW...is anyone still seeing any Lightning Bugs? Tonight I saw 2, but those are the only ones I've seen in just about 2 weeks. But then coming home along 70 last night, we saw LOTS of them.
I miss Megan, too, especially everytime I fuss with my beautiful Megan flowers....which is often, daily! haven't been able to make it to market. Know how busy she ALWAYS is... and Maddie is probably busy making her fall plans also
Loretta I guess I thought you had blood drawn and a mammo today was pretty schitzy working on different things today so probably just simply mis-read sorry about that Glad you did NOT have medical things
I just finished my emails, and now I am really going to bed I can't say about lightning bugs, Lynne...have seen them at night up near James's but not lately thought I was seeing them on the still cam the other night also
Sorry, Margy, I probably confused you when I mentioned getting the wrist band at hosp---but that was last week. Boy, Jo is right! I'll have to smuggle some more of them out---"Fall Risk"!
Lynne, thx about the hummer info! Love Bro. Cat!! Binky looks almost the same but has a little more white on her face. She also likes heights---top of china cabinet, closet shelves, etc. Gotta do the do for work in AM, so if I don't get back, Pleasant Feather Dreams to all & prayers for inda & Family and all ailing ;>)
Lynn, Kathy is a coworker at Chelsea and we have one other part time girl, Jenn. A year and 1/2 ago, when our leader, Jan, retired, no replacements are hired anymore and Kathy who is an artist and does the computer graphic exhibit work, etc. took over ALL the admin/financial work as well. She is part-time career which means she does get some benefits, but not one penny extra for stepping up to the bat and being in charge! She did hours of work on her own 'puter at home & in Albany over Xmas. She had to take 2 weeks off (w/pay) in order to put in the extra hours. Altho she wouldn't mind losing all those admin duties, no one wants to leave our lovely farm. I had sent her the new Ms. Hoppy/Spotty pics, as she was gone when that happened.
Speaking of Yellow Jackets, a member of our church was stung 50 times, last week and nearly died. Now he is suffering from anxiety and is fearful of going outside.
Maxine, do not be concerned about Margy being confused about your medical appt. as she's been into the sun screen.
Wanda, there is significance in having an expensive silver roog. Today's mystery: Google John List and look at the importance of the ballroom roog.
Have nice lightning bug displays this year. Much better than last year. Stopped hummer feeders a year or two ago. Bee guards useless and sugar water dripped all over. Now trying flowers but bees also like those.
Wish we had an update on Jack.
The sandperson is attempting a stealthy walk down the hallway so I will turn the night light on for anyone who needs to arise in the dark and for anyone coming in from the West Coast. Restful sleep for all.
Hellooo! Jack survived though he was not sure he was going to. LOL I tried talking to him but it was useless. He admitted to being irrational!
It took 20 minutes but did not start until late. They had an emergency....really apologized we had to wait. He took his pill and did fine. Now it is wait until tomorrow or Wednesday. And, tomorrow he starts the work for his crown on his tooth that was bothering him.
Yes, the sandperson departed for WV. So it is Darth sneaking around. He's trying to get to the meatballs! Little does he know that I booby-trapped them with sunscreen. Bye
Lynne, Bill won't have more time for me---he's going to have to try to find a job; hasn't had a paycheck or draw from the carpet store in many months, and sure can't make up that salary at the video lottery places yet. A real shame to be 67 y.o. and still having to work so much to support a bunch of adult children/grandchildren, isn't it? Wish I had a "stupid" or "sucker" sticker to slap on his head.
Goodnight, dear friends. See you tomorrow. Will post the obit in the morning---assuming that it's a morning paper, that is. Hoping that Linda and Dennis don't try to drive straight through. Holding them in prayer, along with all of you.
Thanks for sneaking in on me Lolly and giving us the news about the MRI test being bearable for Jack. I bet he wishes that pill would last until after the crown work is done!
LYNN, LOL re:sleeping--I took my Honorary Canadian for the day status very seriously. It was too much work to stay awake so I fell asleep about 8pm while watching the silly CBS Monday night comedy line up. Surfaced about 11 and have been anjoying catching up on the evening chat ! I have only 20 minutes left on my Canadian citizenship, but it's been fun !
Wish the pill would last longer. He was himself and enjoyable when we went out to eat. LOL Took the Grump to Grumps Hamburgers. Talked with Laurel and that is what she said. She had noticed his behavior recently!
Yes, I will see that he has some sunscreen tomorrow. roflmbo
LYNN again, so glad you and the others in the area are okay after that violent storm. Buildings, trees, cars....can all be repaired or replaced, but people are a different story ! The article about the girl saving the woodpecker is disgusting--greed getting in the way of sanity and reason. Watched "raw" video of Gabby on the House floor and bawled like a baby !
Have been reading the blog but actually just scanned it quickly. Sounds like a lot of fun on here tonight.
Paula, so sorry about your injury! Hope it is better tomorrow. Loweeeda needs to get us all those bracelets. Though it has been a while since my last fall. (Knock on wood!!!)
For the record...I am not having any problem with my hb feeder, no wasps, ants, or yellow jackets. I do spray the top with Pam to help keep the ants off and it works great. Do not have a lot of hummingbirds, just a pair visit frequently. With this heat I have to change the food almost daily...it ferments!
JUDYE, I do sooo love Panara Bread's broccoli cheese soup ! That or their mac' n' cheese and half a sandwich or a salad, hmmmmm good !
WANDA, your deck, the tub water garden, entire yard---all gorgeous !
MARGY, Ay, yi, yi, yi, enchilada ! Ole' ! Tom Sweetie is a keeper !
HODA I saw the pics of the NBG releasee, thought to be NZ by most, on the Wildlife blog where we now watch NX and KS. There is a link in the moderated chat area that will access it.
LOLLY, thanks ! Time to put the tiara back in the vault and get back to being productive tomorrow ! So glad Jack survived the ordeal and will be anxious to hear the results ! A man admitting he was "irrational" ? Amazing !☺
Yes, Kay, he said "I know it is irrational". I thought of several come backs but kept my mouth shut. Jack is usually the most rational, common sense person...EVER! But, the last few days....OH MY!
You have my permission to put your tiara back on any day that you want. LOL
I am heading to bed now. Jack has been zonked all evening and now he is heading that way....so off I go.
Thanks all for letting me sound off today. You're the best! Love you all!
Hi, Everyone, Have been, well, beyond busy today. Have been revising reports that I did for the doctor's office. Got a copy of the first report I sent back to them over a week ago, with all sorts of revisions on it. The original I got from them was done in a large font--about 16-point, so that's how I did it. I followed their format exactly. Now they want it in 12-point, and have changed the format entirely. Got it revised and sent it back today. Hope they don't find anything else they don't like! Sorry to be whining about it, but why didn't they tell me about it in the first place?! Guess what bugs me most is that they're calling their revisions "design CORRECTIONS." gRRRR.
...Okay, I guess I'm over it. Just had to vent. Thanks for listening!
Have been thinking of Linda and her whole family all day today. My heart just aches for them! Prayers continue. Sending (((HUGS))) across the miles!
Lynn, prayers of gratitude that nobody got hurt at Bill's daughter's. Sorry the skylight got broken, and the tree fell.
Lynne2, love the pictures of Brother Cat! He is a true character! Hope you and Steve can get the cars fixed without too much expenditure! Prayers!
Boy, it's been unbelievably humid here today! Tomorrow is supposed to be hotter. Wish we had a/c. Emma has been really dragging today. I've made a vet appt. for her tomorrow afternoon, just to be sure she's O.K. She just hasn't been as endlessly frisky as usual, and I have to coax her to eat. She doesn't quite have diarrhea, but has sort of sloppy poop. The vet tech thinks she may have picked up something going around at the dog park. I wonder if it's a side-effect of the Revolution we have been using on her. Want to get to the bottom of this, for sure. Want her to feel 100% fine, not just 80%!
Guess what! I have a cute little hummer who likes the lantana bush out front, and she spends all kinds of time sipping from it while Emma and I are out front. She gets really close to us, maybe 3 feet away! I've seen her on the hummer feeder out back, too. Mighty grateful we don't have a problem with bees or yellow jackets here. As a matter of fact, we have way fewer honeybees here than we used to have. That worries me some! Hope they make a comeback.
Sorry to hear about Paula's sore ankle! Hope the RICE works, and it feels better tomorrow! Prayers!
Think I'm going to go watch some mindless TV for a while. Prayers are said for everyone, and for every creature. Making sure the porch light is on. Enabling the eye-scanner and thumbprint-scanner security systems. Sleep well, everyone! God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! Emma says goodnight, too, and "y-a-w-n!" :o]
Well I gotlost in a movie, a DVD actually called The Visitor. It was a good movie.
LOLLY I am so glad Jack managed alright and I pray that the results come back sooner than later and that only minor manageable reasons are give.
KAY seeing as how you enjoyed your Tiara and being an Honorary Canadian, I think you should become one when ever you want to...It is how I feel about being an Honorary US citizen.
I think most everyone has already gone to bed so I will wish you all sweet dreams and God's Blessings.
I have tried to keep up with the doings here. I finally figured out the references to sunscreen.
I hope Jack is sleeping soundly now and will awake tomorrow in his usual rational frame of mind.
I, too, have had the MRI experience. It was not that bad.
And I hope the doctor's office will appreciate Andy's hard work. Good grief, people.
Have not seen any local news stories about the woodpecker incident. Surely law enforcement has better things to do than to go after these people who were only trying to do the right thing.
I think I will experiment with tackling the vegetation in the back, but might just avoid the woman at Home Depot. I had to think over the matter, but do not want all of that stuff growing on my new fence.
Spent a good part of the day obtaining football equipment for Hunter. I have learned more about jock straps, etc., than I ever knew before. Bought something called "Under Armor," but Hunter is still not happy. Have to get a jock strap, too.
His practice today was cancelled after lightning strikes were spotted in the area, but not before we got there and had to wait in the car for awhile.
Not much rain for all the lightning and thunder, though.
Will be taking Luna up to Kathryn's work later on today. (It is now Tuesday here.) She (Luna) has an eye doctor appointment up north. So, it will be a busy day with lots of travel.
Lynn, I hope your girls are happily enjoying their vacation now, and that you will hear about the side trip to Cuba in detail.
Shared the picture of roof-climbing Brother Cat AKA Freakshow to Kathryn. Gotta love that kitty.
Goats--I once had to prevent one from eating my dress at a petting zoo. And another time, watched as one nibbled on a woman's straw purse.
Oh, sorry the link for the eagle rescue did not work. Thanks for posting, Lynn. Susan said something about a problem with her posting, but, for some reason, I did not see anything wrong. Odd.
Thought of you, Kay, when Mrs. Gifford showed up to vote. I hope this budget situation is soon resolved, but I also hope that those of us who have counted on getting something from our investment in Social Security are not hurt. And that others who count on the government--the military and others who work hard every day are taken care of properly.
Computer froze for a moment. Guess it is telling me to call it a night.
Loretta, hope they make a more reasonable decision about your workplace.
Diann, good to see you on here today. We do enjoy the cat stories, don't we? And have plenty of them.
JudyE, I agree, I think I can kill the ivy without damaging the tree, and I do want that tree in my yard, even though it spews maple helicopters in the spring.
Did I miss how this "sun-screen" thing got started? Too funny.
Sure hope Lolly's Jack is better today now that the MRI is over. LOLLY let us know the results as soon as you hear. We'll be waiting and praying for good news!
Hi, Lori. I am just about to quit for the night. I thought it was about time for you to show up, but I will have to pass the baton off to you and go get some sleep. I do have some things to get done later on today.
SHIRLEY, if you're going to spray any of that weed killer or brush killer-- and make sure you sue brush/poison ivy killer if that's what you have -- spray it during the hottest part of the day. Better to spray it earlier than after the heat which will help the plants to take in the poison and kill the weed.
There's a picture of Gabby Giffords walking into the House chambers last night beside her husband, retired astronaut Mark Kelly. What a handsome couple. To see him helping her walk and knowing all they've been through. What an extraordinary couple.
WOOT WOOT I did one of the credit things last night and my score and I am 793 Not bad I say this is the link that I use and I do it 3 times a year I just use a different one each time that way you are check it three times instead of just once Credit report FREE I did decided to pay the 795 to get the score WARNING if you print it it will be about 20 pages I did print mine and I guess the lengths will depend on how many creditors you have

this is odd I have to ie open I typed the one message in the open one and it is still sitting there in the comment box but it has already posted and the little blue circle is spinning around and around as if wants to go but it has already twice What is up and I noticed it was ghost writing also I can't get it to close at all
HODA was the movie The Visitor a scary one about a hospital visit If it is I loved that one LOLLY so glad the Mri ordeal is over KAY how you had a great day of wearing the crown for the day
I was wide awake last night at 10:30 when I finally got in bed. It's frustrating to have to try to sleep when you know you're only going to get 2 1/2 hours!
so funny that the other IE is still sitting there and the green bar is at bottom moving and the little blue circle circling I guess I will have to power down to make it go away but I want to wait to see if we get a visitor first

Yes, Jo, it sure does send the wrong message to the kids.
LOL
911 is SO busy. Carolyn is sure earning her pay tonight,
RENT A GOAT
Rent A Herd of Goat
RentA Goat
I'm at the point of the blog about the goat boy much to my surprise how many there are out there I love Google
back to reading
Just got back from Panera Bread
Hoda - congrats on doing nothing this morning ☺
Lynn, thanks for the gull story...pretty gull. Bet that was funny watching the paparazzi trying to get pics
Lynne, glad the car has a warranty...
Severe thunderstorm watch around Diann's area.
Oh, I did see a monarch at the beach.
Lynn and Margy, love the moth pics!
Lynn, guess Christie will have a story to tell you! Oh and thanks for the advice, was wondering about the compression! Thanks for the update on Linda.
Shirley, I think as long as you don't get the spray on the tree, the tree should be alright!
Weatherbug says winds were clocked at 70 at airport. I'm so thankful that Charlie and Donald got my dead trees dropped!
HODA I hope you had a great day of relaxation
PAULA so sorry for the desk episode hope foot get better
LYNN2 loved the picture love BROTHER CAT he is so cute
SHIRLEY I also agree just spray the ivy and the tree should be ok
LYNN so good to here that everyone is ok with the tree in skylight Scary for the kids I bet
I should have told LINDA to stop in but I know she has other things on her mind
Well you all know if you are ever in Fl look me up my address is on the list the email list we got from LYNN I need to add my phone number is it to late LYNN? didn't know you wanted phone number also
I had the best Cheddar Broccoli soup I love the soup there I know its frozen but still good
WOW the nest is almost gone with that branch
...and another thing, Shirley, there are poison ivy sprays that will NOT kill a tree.
Wanda, if you didn't get hit, then hopfully the fair grounds didn't either! Poor kids. et al, if it did.
WOW!!! 500 dollar bill for doing the right thing!!! They even reported it. I hope they can appeal.
Good stormy evening. It's still booming and raining after the second storm and this time the rain wasn't a "gully washer."
Paula, Paula, Paula!! You don't want to join the trip and fall club! It's no fun. Take care please.
Lynn, I know the type of storm you had - bad! Those are the ones that drain into our cellar and laundry room. Sump pump runs constantly.
Jeopardy time. Will talk later about the day with the cats.
In my last post I was talking about the kid who saved a bird from her pet...it was not clear what I was talking about.
Good on Gabby Giffords...she has spunk that woman!!! Godspeed Gabby
Bill has his profile wall as public so anyone can go on his page and view it not comment on it
thanks for pointing it out MEMAJO
LINDA should also know that Facebook has a special thing as when some one pass that the page can be left up for a tribute not forsure all details on it
Diann, did you get your yellow columbine seed, or did I send it to the wrong Diann?
No, Wanda, Liesl didn't seem to be upset...just curious---looking up at the sunroom roof! A couple of days ago, a really loud military jet was going over when we were out, and she was smart enough to look up at the sky, too!
I'm giving my neck a break away from puter BBIALW
Gabby Giffords actually voted on the Debt Reduction bill...You all must be very proud of her...
LOL!
Yay for Gabby Giffords...
Sitting outside, nice breeze here and temp isn't too bad. Did the icing, now foot it wrapped and up.
I even saw the male hummer!
Speaking of military planes...when Gene was stationed at Ft. Meade, Denise (2yrs. old) and I had an apartment near the base and when a plane would fly over, she would duck under the kitchen table. Thought they were going to bomb us. I guess it was something she saw on TV!
Lynn, that was all the joke about Alex on the late night shows...
Paula, has your foot swollen any?
I have posted some DECK PHOTOS of my Tub water garden which Kay and Lori had asked to see. Nothing is as pretty as it should be this time of year. I really neglected everything. Even my water hyacinths aren't blooming...they should be jam-packed full of blossoms:( The first two photos are of the flowers 2 years ago. The last ones are from this morning.
For SHIRLEY and LYNN...you can see how Gene has planned the shelter...just needs to find the time to put a real roof on.
The photos are on WANDA'S WISHES.
You all in Hedgesville really did have a storm. We in Frederick county were
suppose to get the other one but it blew
the other way
Loretta - you should have asked for about a dozen of those "Fall Risk"
bracelets for your friends!
Funny NOT.
Judy what did you get from Panera's?
Love that place! Soup and sandwich is
my choice - AND a sugar cookie.....lol
yes, Wanda, foot is swelling, the wrap feels good!
The hummers have really been hitting the feeder, gonna have to refill it for the second time in a week.
Jo, I like those chocolate cookies at Panera. They took them off the menu for awhile, but they are back now :)
You're so right Hoda - Gabby has Spunk!
JudyE - you can learn a lot about Linda's brother Bill from reading those
wonderful comments on his FB page.
Going to check out some of your profile
blogs.
Weel, I don't see the old man on the trunk at the nest, but I do see a bobble head doggie on the far side of the nest, LOL
Hummer wars again!
I'm looking for bobblehead doggie Paula...
What was in that ice ?
LOL
I do still see the bearded man
so sorry about the boo boo
Please be careful and don't do any walking you don't need to do for awhile
I think I DO see bobblehead pup, just a couple of minutes before straight up 12 o
clock?
Wanda:
Help!
My hard-boiled eggs are in the ice water, what do I do next?
I'm going to check pic links in just a few mins
got a pretty good storm here but no visible damage,
thunder and a lot of rain
then a rainbow
young mom and Blessed from upstairs came down here for awhile
we had a nice visit
she offered to bring me spaghetti when she saw I was eating my bowl of cold cereal for dinner ♥
then Tom Sweetie showed up with a baked enchilada
☺
interesting sun shadow play on the leaves
would like to see an Eagle Bobble-head!
Lynn
sorry to hear of that damage with limbs and debris strewn around and tree on skylight at Bill's daughter
Prayers of Gratefulness, no one hurt there
Hello there Lori
did the storms wake you up?
Lolly was going to take Jack to dinner after the procedures today...
hope to hear from her here soon also !
Paula---elevation should be higher than your heart. Sorry it is swelling.....if not significantly better tomorrow----x-ray time!
Still reading but wanted to break in and say,
ECHO Paula: Yay for Gabby Giffords!
LOL!
Love your pics, Wanda. How come we can post comment on yours withut having to do all the security stuff???!!!! Cool---and easy!
I see the bobblehead doggy, too, Paula! Too funny!
bearded man almost looks like he has walrus teeth!
He is quiet handsome ☺
he is almost facing straight down on the large branch at 5 o'clock
leaves sometimes get in the way
PAULA hope your ankle is going to be alright. We are a group aren't we?
Thanks God for Nurse Lynn.
LYNN, great to see the news of the juvie rescued in Ohio. They're so darn cute. I haven't been on WCV, is there any word on the eaglets besides NX being re-admitted to flight school?
Margy - shake and shake those eggs I
think is what Wanda said! Any which way you can crack them!
Well, you sure had a good dinner !
I am waiting for an email from trail cam of sil - another bear sighting and
it must have been around 4 in the afternoon. Kristen is sticking close to
home - no dog walking for her!
Sorry friends but I can see beautiful pics in the clouds but I can't read the
leaves. Except for the one leaf
shadow that looked like a horse - anyone
remember that one on the tree trunk?
Jo, sure can see what a wonderful brother/uncle/friend that Billy must have been...and husband, too. Don't know if he and Lil had kids or not....guess we'll know tomorrow when the obit comes out. He was a good looking guy, too---- all the Cochran's are!! So many put it in a good perspective.....birthday/death day....all part of God's plan.
my memory fails me on the leaf horse shadow, Jo :(
Clouds are pretty spectacular here, Jo...
But I would like to know about what a roog is, Lori ☺ LOL
never had a baked enchilada, Jo...having it NOW and it is very good
Going to watch The Closer this evening
at 9:00 - Nothing else in my plans.
will look forward to more news about the bear at Kristen's...
first I was thinking Melissa !
wow that would have been something too
Paula, sorry about the sprain.
Off to watch some tv.
Goats - My one experience with renting
a goat was years ago when my in-laws had
a hill to0 treacherous to mow. Goats
cleaned those weeds out lickety split.
The goat was chained to a stake that
didn't allow him anywhere except the hill
I love 'kids' - my childhood friend
raised goats - Did not like the
Billy goat and did not care for goat's
milk on my oatmeal..........
JUDIE - LOL on the meatballs! :)
No one will notice.
Look at Lori's post. Bet she's been into the "sun screen". lol
Jo
Thanks, about the eggs
Am going to go shake shake and shake here shortly...
after I go see Lynne's pics !
Loretta....glad your medical things today went okay !
Judie - you reminded me what it is we
have to fix this Wed for dinner - Last
Wed we were eating a delicious roast beef dinner when I little voice said
"I wish we were eating spaghett" :(
You know who!!!
You just keep quiet tomorrow morning, Lori. Your listeners don't need to know everything. lol
Jo, I have lots of meatballs if you need some.
JUDIE I am going to tell the head of
the Neighborhood Watch detail to count
those meatballs! ROFL
No wonder my mom skin was so nice she did her nightly WINE being German we had wine with meals, all but me I would get sick every time I would drink it
Think I am allergic to the sulfites
Looks like the sun is going down on the nest and no visit Bummer
JUDIE I'll tell them if any are missing that they can run to SHEETZ
for a meatball sub!
only 41 more comments to read will I ever get caught up LOL

No problem JUDIE! Your secret is safe.
JO & JUDIE, you're making me hungry!
HUGS for MARVIN, JO!
HODA, thanks for the update on the Norfolk eaglets. It's so wonderful to think at least two of them are free to be eagles again. Big thanks to Wildlife Center Virginia!
WANDA, I was wondering if it was a canvas, or nylon ROOF on your deck, not roog.
Sure wanted to see an eagle tonight. Sad face.
I was just ribbin' ya Lori,
the typos here are fun!
I really enjoyed listening to your radio station today
Good Night JudyE

Rest your neck Judy.
I am headed for the TV
Yah, you sure did, LOL
Enjoy your show at 9, Jo...
xoxoxoxox ☺
Oh, the foot was swelling before I got the wrap on it..It's not that bad, really. But ice and the wrap do help!
Yup, margy, that's where the doggie is...black head, white body...right at the base of the branch going up.
Getting some sprinkles here now...but that's all...hmm, not enought to wet the deck
Oh, Margy, baked enchilada ☻
Jo, I think that was the peeling tree bark that looked like a horsey on the trunk a couple of years ago.
I think a benefit of the goat would be goat cheese! If you wanted to milk it, etc.!
LOL Judie, yea, I think Lori has been into the sunscreen!!
Oh, they are checking the feathers of the NBG eaglet at WCV tomorrow
Margy, I will try and look for that man again tomorrow!
Bye
Jo, the broccoli cheese soup is good too...my fav is the potato
Hmmmm. Looks as if Margy had some sun screen also.
Okay, really bye this time.
OK, you ladies have me ROFLMBO!
Started off with LORI'S ROOG. Of course I knew what she meant, but I snorted 3 times before I could read on. Somehow, typos this time of the evening are soooo funny!
MEATBALLS...I'll never eat another plate of spaghetti without counting the meatballs:)
Jo, you haven't fixed Alexis spaghetti in so long! Tell her it will make hair grow on her chest...my dad's words to me and I wanted hair there because he had it:)
Yes, MARGY, shake, shake, shake until the eggs are looking like mosaics...shells should fall off.
The old man that everyone is seeing does he have a full beard if so I see him and he is looking down right?? and you can only see his one eye and his nose and his full beard he has short black hair also
JUDIE we on the blog will go to our graves before we tell anyone about the meatballs What meatballs LOL
MEMA JO I do have a neck pillow from my Dr years ago I love it
MAGPIE I loved the Good Nighty Jude
I would have known it was me
I had to look before I shut her down for the night so I finished reading see ya in the am bright and early YEAH WE HAVE LIVE CAM back even though a new resident has taken over the Leaf family LOL
Glad everyone has ANJOYED my pictures!
Always enjoy your pictures, Lynne. You have an interesting eye!
Margy, enchilada sounds good!
Nice Tom Sweetie!
JudyE---I love that bread, too!
Charlie says he and the girls will come clean up my mess tomorrow.....we shall see if that really happens!
Judie, your meatball secret is safe with me!!
LOL, Jo---Miss Meatball told you, didn't she???!!
The remaining NBG eaglet is scheduled to be weighed in the morning. Hoda, I didn't see anything about the one being sighted and photographed....did they have a pic??? Cool!
Wanda
Too Funny! The hair on the chest story!
Uh...do you?? ROFL !!
Yes, shake shake shake shake worked great, only had one egg that a small portion of the boiled yolk came off too !
Thank You, and Thanks to Jo for remembering what I forgot !
JudyE described well what I see when I look for the handsome bearded man that Shirley discovered for us
Who needs eagles, we have a nice doggy and a handsome man !
WE need eagles, that's who!
hope the meatballs disappear impressively quickly Tuesday night also Judie...
as they did last year !
I am sad for Linda....sad for the family....sad for their sudden loss.
I appreciate all those on here posting information that is on Facebook that I cannot see
(( Hugs and Prayers across the Miles,Linda ♥ ))
I just checked my pics from this past weekend. Thought I got a really good shot of a Hummingbird Moth, but it didn't turn out.
Lynn, very sad that Bill and his partner had to close the store, but hopefully now he'll have some more time for YOU!
Prayers that the ankle and foot are A-OK in the morning, Paula, better yet, BEFORE that.
Need to finish up with a couple of family emails, going to say my Good Nights and look forward to some Early Bird time Tuesday
Prayers for Wellness, and Comfort....
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
9:00 show was good - just don't know
what next week will bring...
Hummer who hardly gets to stay there, sat and 2 yj's popped up and scared her away.
yeah, why is it Megan never visits us here anymore? She didn't even show for the full July moon....
I miss Megan, too,
especially everytime I fuss with my beautiful Megan flowers....which is often, daily!
haven't been able to make it to market.
Know how busy she ALWAYS is...
and Maddie is probably busy making her fall plans also
Love you Megan....
Loretta
I guess I thought you had blood drawn and a mammo today
was pretty schitzy working on different things today so probably just simply mis-read
sorry about that
Glad you did NOT have medical things
I just finished my emails, and now I am really going to bed
I can't say about lightning bugs, Lynne...have seen them at night up near James's but not lately
thought I was seeing them on the still cam the other night also
Good Night, Precious Pals xoxo ♥
PS
Go for it, Maxine-Loretta!
Woman Power !!!
YOU GO LORETTA.....Maxine!
heading for bed now....good night and prayers for all!
Time to say good night here. I will see you tomorrow. Rest well, friends.
Loretta----bad byj's here----and then ants. Took my feeder down yesterday.
Lynne....no lb's here anymore, either.
Lowreeda----lady at Chelsea.....what is SHE grieving for? Is she the one giving you others the boot??? Yes, go on the OFFENSE, Maxine!
Linda. So sorry
Loretta...you must over-look Margy, this evening...she has been into the sun-screen a little too heavy:)
JUDIE, that's not the sandman walking stealthily down the hallway...it's DARTH...wonder what he is up to?:)
The sandman is HERE, so I know Darth is there:)
Wanda, hope the man has an Epipen to carry in his pocket!! Scary---but he can't let it rule his life.
Yes, Lynn, he does have an Epipen, but has not been outside yet. I'm certain that he will go out, in time.
Think I will excuse the sandman and go on to bed. He needs to go to Judie's.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Yes, the sandperson departed for WV.
Lolly, so glad Jack managed a successful MRI. Sorry he has the crown work tomorrow. Seriously, give him lots of sun screen. Bye
P.S. Kay and Hoda seem to have gotten lost! Hope they are sleeping well!
I will be heading back to the pillows
3hrs ago Lolly was at Grumps Burgers Burleson. I hope Jack was with her!!
No word from Linda on FB - praying for
her to be with family
Good Night All
I think I forgot to say something but sure can't remember what it was....
Prayers for all and may Peace be with you. Hugs ♥♥♥♥♥♥
I think I was going to mention that it
was very very pleasant outside and I
wish it would last a day or two...
Night
Thanks for sneaking in on me Lolly and
giving us the news about the MRI test
being bearable for Jack.
I bet he wishes that pill would last
until after the crown work is done!
Good night
Kay, glad you had a great do nothing day.
Amazing !☺
Finally made it back....
Had a bit of rain, thunder & lightning. Really needed the rain but wish it would be a nice steady rain instead of a downpour.
It's too late for me to go into detail about the day with our cats. Suffice it to say, it was
interesting and tiring.
Will say my goodnights and prayers for all needs and wants.
God bless!
P.S. Wanda, yes I received the seeds. I sent you an email at the time I was having 'puter troubles so you may not have received it.
Thank you very much!
Thanks for all the good chat--meatballs, sun screen, weather, medical, cats, goats, birds, dogs, old men, bobble heads...the list goes on.
Prayers continue for all in need. Have a good night all !
♥L♥I♥B♥E♥R♥T♥Y !!!!!!!
Sweet dreams!
Hi, Everyone,
Have been, well, beyond busy today.
Emma says goodnight, too, and "y-a-w-n!"
:o]
Well I gotlost in a movie, a DVD actually called The Visitor. It was a good movie.
LOLLY I am so glad Jack managed alright and I pray that the results come back sooner than later and that only minor manageable reasons are give.
KAY seeing as how you enjoyed your Tiara and being an Honorary Canadian, I think you should become one when ever you want to...It is how I feel about being an Honorary US citizen.
I think most everyone has already gone to bed so I will wish you all sweet dreams and God's Blessings.
THANKS KAY for letting me know where I saw the picture of NZ...I should have remembered the WVC new site...
...that would be WCV...
Hello again,
Not able to sleep, so here I am.
Thinking of Linda and her family.
Sorry about the accident, Paula. Hope everything quickly heals for you.
Oh, sorry the link for the eagle rescue did not work. Thanks for posting, Lynn. Susan said something about a problem with her posting, but, for some reason, I did not see anything wrong. Odd.
I figure I am filling in the time until Lori will be up and about. Good morning, Lori, whenever you show up.
Just missed Hoda.
And it was nice to find the night light shining for me when I came downstairs, Judie. Would not want to fall down the steps in the dark.
Jo, let us know when the meatballs come rolling down the road.
See you later. I hope I can sleep now.
Goodness, just refreshed and you are still up Shirley!
I think the sunscreen thing has to do with a comment someone made about wine preventing sunburn.
Don't think I would want to test the theory out, though. I burn much too easily to take a chance like that.
Sleep well, Shirley.
Maybe you can try counting eagles to nod off and that will encourage Belle and Truder to come see us this morning. ♥
Brush/poison ivy killer is what I was looking at.
Yes, I do remember the story about wine and sunscreen...leave it to Kay and Judie! LOL
Will see you later, Lori. Have a good morning.
You too. Night Shirley. Big HUG!
There's a picture of Gabby Giffords walking into the House chambers last night beside her husband, retired astronaut Mark Kelly. What a handsome couple. To see him helping her walk and knowing all they've been through. What an extraordinary couple.
Great Morning Eagle Family!
It's dark out there!
Wish MEGAN was here to let us know what kind of moon it is. :)
SUNRISE THIS MORNING AT 6:10.
SUNSET TONIGHT IS 8:18 WHEN HOPEFULLY BELLE & TRUDER WILL APPEAR.
GOOD MORNIN EAGLE BUDS
Good Morning JUDY!
How is your neck?
Did you get all your liquor price changes done yesterday?
WOOT WOOT I did one of the credit things last night and my score and I am 793 Not bad I say
this is the link that I use and I do it 3 times a year I just use a different one each time that way you are check it three times instead of just once
Credit report FREE
I did decided to pay the 795 to get the score
WARNING if you print it it will be about 20 pages I did print mine and I guess the lengths will depend on how many creditors you have
Surely we have someone among us who is a good aim with a slingshot that could blast some pebbles up there to obliterate those leaves.
That is good JUDY. You could get a decent interest rate.
Good morning LORI yep got them done and will probably have more today

It's a little windy at the nest!
Know how I can tell? Those darn leaves that are blocking the view of 3/4ths of the nest are shaking like crazy.
this is odd I have to ie open I typed the one message in the open one and it is still sitting there in the comment box but it has already posted and the little blue circle is spinning around and around as if wants to go but it has already twice What is up and I noticed it was ghost writing also I can't get it to close at all
It is getting darker in the am at the nest I may be able to set my clock up some more and get some more beauty sleep lol
The only thing beauteous about beauty sleep is the sleep itself. I'd love to have some of that.
Our KAY is getting some of that sleep right now. We miss you KAY, but understand you need rest on your schedule. ((BIG HUG))
HODA was the movie The Visitor a scary one about a hospital visit If it is I loved that one
LOLLY so glad the Mri ordeal is over
KAY how you had a great day of wearing the crown for the day
I'm still reading the blog from last night
I was wide awake last
night at 10:30 when I finally
got in bed.
It's frustrating to have
to try to sleep when you know you're only going to get 2 1/2 hours!
Guess that was ugly-circles-under-my-eyes-sleep.
so funny that the other IE is still sitting there and the green bar is at bottom moving and the little blue circle circling I guess I will have to power down to make it go away but I want to wait to see if we get a visitor first
and you probably feel worse after sleeping a couple of hours
colors on the nest aw so pretty
Color on the nest at 5:59AM.
doesn't look so bright at the nest this morning is it cloudy?
Well I better get my butt in gear and finish getting ready sitting her half dressed bottom done now just the top
Go ahead JUDY - power down. You know if you do, they will be sitting in the nest when you get it back up...
It's like washing your car to get it to rain. Funny how those things always work!
So sad we got no visit this am and when are you going to go shoot the branch down LORI I want to ride along LOL
Well I better get my but in gear step away from the puter Judy
I put in for my vacation yester day for OCT
Oct 13 to Oct 30 returning to work on the 31
