Judy, when you are talking about British Columbia, I don't think that the difference between where many of us live and Florida is that big of big deal, especially for our pretend road trips. Hop on!
I got a glimpse of the squirrel, too. He was in a hurry.
Yes, there does seem to be a different relationship between Casey and her parents than between her and her brother.
Probably Casey has not matured yet, so that she still has a rebellious-adolescent relationship with her parents, even though she is supposed to be an adult.
Sharon, thank you for stopping by so early. Thoughts will be with you for good test results and some very good and consistent medical answers. Hi Thelma. Thank you for keeping us updated also.
Deer, turkey, racoons, squirrels, birds all use it.....even the bear when it was around!! Yes, trail cam is aimed at it. Nearby---also in cam view---is a salt lick and a mineral lick.
Morning friends! They took Sher down for the stress test a minute ago. I sure do pray they find out something so we can start getting in the solution. This anemia and high blood pressure is worrying me to death!!!
Two male Gold Finches having a wing battle outside the window. They are such pretty birds.
Jo, safe trip and have fun. Will be watching for you to walk in the door once or twice, please.
JudyE, time and distance are not relevant sometimes. We take road trips several times each year. All are welcome.
I see questions for me. Psychopaths have the ability to compartmentalize (mentioned by prosecutor) meaning they have a mental compartment for those they truly care about (Lee) and those who are expendable or are needed only as a means to an end (parents, almost all others). Explains variations of emotional responses seen in court. They are able to express or suppress emotions as needed to achieve a purpose (nice and pleasant in jail - she needs the jailers to like her. Psychopaths, in general, have a total disregard for the rights and feelings of others and they typically are without compassion and remorse for the pain they cause. The grief expert, IMHO, was a joke - insufficient professional training. Finally, IMHO, Ms. Anthony is guilty of aggravated manslaughter and I believe that is what the jury will return. The evidence that she premeditated (First Degree)simply has not been established but evidence that she dissociated from the child's death (as a defense mechanism) has also not been established.
WCV cam outdoor wiring (strung from trees) broke....the fixer guy can't come until tomorrow...so a bit longer to wait!
Hi, Sharon.....how are you feeling this morning? Nope---no rest in the hospital. Insane to wake ill people that early.
Kay....Lori.....Casey is guilty as far as I'm concerned! Good news on Amanda Knox case----DNA evidence thrown out---bodes well for her appeal. I do not think she is guilty.
Correct Lynn. Narcissism is one of the personality disorders associated with psychopaths (and sociopaths). The other, of course, is Antisocial Personality Disorder.
Lynn, Rus definitely got over the fear. He is a typical male-who-likes-to-blow-things-up kind of guy. I am not sure how old he was, maybe two. Really young. We got him out of there when we saw how afraid he was. We were a bit close for me, too. Stuff from the fireworks was falling on the car.
I am in the city proper. I love to see the deer but worry about them and their safety. I have only seen one hurt by a car in the years since the deer arrived.
But then I worry about the children that play in the road too. There's always something.
I may need to get some "CAUTION: Deer Crossing" signs.
BEagle, I think Judie explained the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath a day or two ago....not sure when it was....just google it!!
I often put "deer" apples out in the fall....they are basically the groundies that aren't good for much else--the orchardists sell them by the truckload. BUT.....they DO attract bees and the fermentation odor gets quite pungent---in an unpleasant way---if the weather is warm!!
Yes, DanaWV, it is beautiful weather. But it's supposed to be a very hot weekend. Did you see where I mentioned yesterday that Lake Tahoe had 4" of snow, and that Lolly said it was very cold in CO....hope they didn't get any of that snow!
Well Hedgie-Lynn about Lolly and snow in Colorado.
Yes everyone I am here is Colorado visiting my daughter. We went yesterday evening to Black Hawk. The city with all the casinos. As we were driving I could see snow on the Rockies. So it is possible Lolly got some snow. The ride to the Black Hawk casinos and many other casinos was beautiful. Due to the rain they had the trees are usually brown they were are beautiful green. Oh I'm a BIG loser $1.00 we ate the buffet there very good food.
There it is out ( : boy Lynn-Hedgie tell Mema Jo I said "it feels good to say it on here". I'm not worried who knows anymore. I am having fun and lots of laughter.
Good Morning Friends - almost ready to start down the road to the beach. Our Sharon is too busy this morning to be concerned about the 'b' word. Prayers for her to find some answers and then have them healed!
Dana, I heard you and I think I win the bet I made with myself that your life is too good right now to keep it a secret from all of us! Do enjoy your time with your daughter! ((hugs))
Remember it wasn't to keep from all my friends Mema Jo here on the blog. Plus those Eagle Momsters and Dadsters. Remember I didn't tell it on here because of the certain people in Ed's family plus my sister spying in here on me.
But yes I am thrill and happy to tell all my Eagle Friends -- I am in Colorado!!!!! It is beautiful!!
Oh Hedgie-Lynn where about in the yard was the fawn awwwwww?
I am very excited as I know Paula is. That today is the day you and Paula head to Capon Bridge to see NICK and hopefully bring him home to his and Paula's roost.
Hedgie-Lynn reading your comment abut the Diamonback Terrapins on the tarmac at JFK in NY...people helping by putting them in trucks and helping to get them moved ( :
So fun to have deer make a visit with the spotty ones. Wish I could be in a more secluded area to enjoy the pleasures of wildlife.
Two basic distinctions: 1) sociopath is more often used by psychologists who consider social/environmental/medical influences on behavior while psychopath is more typically used by psychiatrists who prefer a medical explanation for human behavior. 2) Psychopath is used to describe a sociopath who has gone beyond antisocial narcissistic behaviors to actual criminal behavior (hence my reference to Ms. Anthony as a psychopath).
I was looking at a comment Wanda had made Wed. June 29 9:32AM. I am cracking up I must have mispelt a word (not unual for me) but this was cut "DANA WV...you are so right, we will all be glad when Sharon is back at her ROAST. Roasts are fun and I am sure we could have a good one for SHARON;)" lol Hugs Wanda thanks for the laugh ( :
They did the stress test chemically and Becky said she got some symptoms from it. Pain in the back of her head and sick. So, I don't know if that is a positive study or negative. Hedgie, do you reckon maybe her thyroid could be out of whack or something causing all these symptoms?
Hunter and I are dressed and ready, so that when Kathryn gets home, we can head out to get him registered at his new elementary school. I have to take proof of residency and sign the papers saying that they live with me.
Then we'll go to Culpeper for Kathryn's appointment.
Lynne2 praying a job opens where they have nicer people. You are such a good person. I can't believe those people. Although lots of times things come through people being jealious and maybe they are jealious of you. WHY you say???? BECAUSE YOU ARE GOOD!!! ( :
Hi all...been running around like a MAD WOMAN since 7am. Working full time SUCKS!!! LOL!!! Actually, just trying to get things done as we are probably heading to MILs again this weekend and therefore things won't get done here unless I cram them in.
you won't believe this....my right arm is COVERED in POISON IVY. Not sure where I got it. Steve had some a week or so ago and maybe some residual oil on his clothing. I truly, really didn't see any outside yesterday when I was weeding, but I was weeding the front yard area up til dark so, maybe?
Dana in CO???? WOO HOO!!! I sure hope you got a CAMERA lady! Not having pictures is not acceptable!!! Hope you have a fantastic time!
Prayers that Sharon gets some answers today.
Cool you saw a "spotty" Lynn!! We have a single doe that comes every day to eat the apples that are falling out of the tree. A doe came last year, too, all alone. Can't help but wonder if it's the same one! But no babies, and she doesn't LOOK preggers.
LYNN, thanks for the pick and explanation of the corn feeder ! One of the nice things you can do when enjoying country living.
SHIRLEY, glad Rus wasn't scarred or scared for life by his Gahanna 4th of July experience !☺ Gahanna is another suburb that has changed dramatically since I left in 81'. Now that you're retired you should come on back to Columbus for a nostalgia tour ! The welcome mat is out !
Thanks to SISSY and THELMA for keeping us in close touch with SHARON and the testing. Here's hoping a clear picture and diagnosis emerges soon so treatment and prevention can begin !
Best wishes to all Momsters and Dadsters enjoying a Rocky Mountain High this week ! LOLLY and JACK, safe travel as you head home tomorrow. Looking forward to details and pictures !!!!
JUDIE, thanks so much for sharing your criminal mind with us---er, uh, let me rephrase that---for sharing your legal expertise and insights into the criminal mind. The amazing thing about this blog is that we have experts in almost every topic that comes up.
Good golly, Miss Molly, trial on 2 hour lunch break with speculation that Casey is insisting on taking the stand at 1:30. This could be a very interesting afternoon.
LYNN, that should have been "thanks for the pic" !
JO is out the door and on her way to having a wonderful holiday weekend. Praying for travling mercies !
LYNNE, so glad you're at the Happy Job today. Will be glad for the day when you can say you have one full time or two part time Happy Jobs !
NICK, you lucky dog ! You will be meeting two beautiful women this afternoon. One will take you home for the first evening of what will be a wonderful life for you. You will be loved by a large group of people known as Eagle Momsters, too ! Welcome to our world !!!!!
Sissy, the chemical stress test can cause a lot of side effects that have nothing to do with the heart....so here's hoping that is the case! Thyroid always a possibility but doubt that it would cause the anemia (cause may never be determined for that) or chest pain.
Happy TH!! Weather much better, but still no rain! Read that some of Sharon's tests are done. Hope the pinpoint problem ASAP! Thank you Sissy & T-Bird for keeping us up to date. Prayers for all of you! ☺♥ TY Judie on your definitions. We've been watching trial also.I didn't like the ?? on pet burials, but guess they are trying to show a pattern over the years.
So happy Beagle & Lynn have seen fawns. My daughter is waiting to see some, too! She thinks theirs come out late, especially for TX. Happy trips for Jo to B---H & Paula and Lynn to Doggyland!!!! Dana, you tricked us---CO, too!! Too bad you can't hook up w/Lolly & Jack. I know, it's a Big state!!
Interesting....substitute weather person on tv is named Olga Breese. Appropriate last name for a meteorologist. Which reminds me of a lady we used to get in the hospital back in the 70's named Icey Rhodes!
Shirley, praying for some good results for Kat!
I can well imagine that Paula is as antsy as can be to get out of work and hit the road!!!! Nick is surely a lucky dog!
Lynne, sorry about the P.I.---miserable, especially in summer heat.
Stress test and echo is over but no results yet. Stool tests negative and my hemoglobin went from 8.7 yesterday to 9 today. Still don't know anything yet. Love you.
Peanut butter cookies made. I must have some deficiency as I seem stuck on PNB cookies.
Lynne2, sorry about the PI. Hope it clears quickly.
Hi Lorwreeda. I also did ndot like the pet information but, yes, looking for a pattern. Problem is I see a pattern that would be comfortable for Ms. Anthony would be comfortable with. Criminals of all types will almost always resort to methods that are most comfortable for them.
Oh, meant to say Sharon, you should be feeling okay from the tests. Side effects of the chemical stress scared the poop shoot out of me but only lasted about 20 minutes. Hugs for you!
Judie I really wasn't trying to trick anyone. I really wanted to just put it on here. Mema Jo, Lynn-Hedgie and Lolly knew I wanted to share it here. I am so HAPPY I took that part of control back over in my life.
This is so much fun sharing with my "family" Eagle Momster Group. I now have the smile on my face and laughter in my heart. To release that burden I carried on my shoulders.
Jordyn down for a nap and I should clean but no instead I head to the puter to say hey and Both Jordyn and I got soaked in a down pour at the park I picked her up and was running to the car and she just busted out laughed "so funny OMA so funny" she kept saying I don't know if it was us raining or her getting wet but she had a blast in the meantime Got home and changed our cloths and then we went to McDonalds where she could play with other kids there There is always some one there playing so now she is out like a light
Almost time to head out to meet Paula! Need to put Liesl in her crate and change my shirt. Will catch you all on the flip side of our grand adventure!!!!
So nice to have wild life in our lives so sad that we have taken up their habitat though We had a fox attach the other day a couple car broke down on the road and a fox attached them both yest it had rabies they said poor couple now have to do all those nasty shots and we have coyoteee issues here also but no deer that I know of
Wow your deer show up early My mom would get them in the evenings and early mornings at her place It was always so nice to see them She had such issues with groundhogs also living under the cabin they had where the root cellar was. Ok now I got to get busy BBL LM and listening to trial really don't need to watch only if I want to see the expression on her face
Oh BOY Oh BOY Paula and Hedgie-Lynn are on their way.....NICK your about to get the greatest vistor you will ever have coming to see you. Hopefully will be taking you to the home she and you will be living in. ( :
I love it when we can travel in our virtual world on the blog I'm going to see HODA row and some people went to CO we have the best imagination in the world I say so who would know if it was real or pretend since we pretend on the blog I can tell you of my travel to see HODA in Canada while I'm still in Fl LOL We are a strange bunch we are But it is a good kind of strange Dare to be different I always say don't go with the flow make your own waves If you all know what I mean Ok it is BBL for sure I have got to step away from the blog and do something But I don't want to
Hi, Everyone! YAY! I'm able to get here! Last night, had a crazy "Error" message, and although my comment got posted, I was dumped, and unable to get back here. More of the same this morning, but now, all of a sudden, I'm BAAAAaaack!
Praying for Sharon, and hoping that her doctors figure it all out.
All excited for Paula & Lynn, and of course, Nick! Can't wait for an update!
Haven't watched the trial at all, except for what's on the evening news about it. Judie, I think you've explained it perfectly.
Have been working feverishly on the transcription I need to turn in tonight at school. Although it's legal transcription, I'm just about sick to death of the CD I've been working on. It's really hard to hear with volume at 100%, so must keep replaying and replaying.
Will have more time to talk later tonight or tomorrow. Haven't had time to catch up here yet. Praying for everyone, though! Will check back later tonight after school. HAGD, everyone! :o]
did you notice I am now doing housework I am uploading a few video on FB and going to play with some pictures making them in to collages on the internet like I like to do
Judy E I alughed about the virtual travle blog...you are funny. Are yo going to the park with Jordyn today?
I am off to yoga and to the book shop and the health food store...Lots of rain this morning too but it is in the comfortable seventies again this morning...
I hope Lolly's and Jack's lawn is OK and that the water sprinklers worked while they were gone. She was so worried about the front lawn.
HODA Yep we went to the park and got caught in a down pour Jordyn laughed when we had to run to the car we got soaked came home to change in dry cloths and then headed to play at McDonalds I like it that she like to play there also now she is napping and I am playing with pictures on the internet
Well TRH are here...they arrived to Ottawa and looked well...That would be the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. We made him a special flag and it looks good flying on the car they took to leave the airport...BBL
Peanut butter cookies????? Kathryn wants to know when they will be ready. Hunter thinks you should put miniature Reeces Cups in the middlesbrough and let them melt.
Let me know if anything major happens at the trial.
All the talk about "the trial" has piqued my curiosity so tuned in, but it's like reading a book starting at the middle.
Thanks Judie for your professional input. That helps.
DanaWV, you surprised us. Way to go, girl. Have a good time.
Paula & Lynn, safe travels. Nick is waiting for you to arrive and take him home.
Oma, glad you had a good time with Jordyn. Is a German grandpa Ompa? ☺☺☺ Ompa, Ompa goes the band. My baby sister's mother-in-law is German and her kids call her Oma.
Another ?? for JudyE. How many 'puters are you working on? I see you can post 3-4 times a minute. How do you do it? It takes me scrolling up and down the list to post and then read. Or am I doing something wrong?
Sharon, prayers for you to finally get answers and start recovery. Thanks to Bev & Thelma for keeping us up to date.
Shirley, we know you'll do great on your transcribing.
Hi Lori & BEagle too. Hope I didn't miss anyone, I didn't read back too far.
I have a window open with the blog to post my comments to and another window open with my EMAIL because I get the blog emailed to me so much easier to read that way NO REFRESHING OF any page so much easier I think Just my opinion and I also have a window open for face book I am doing pictures and a window for the picture PIC joke net This is my favorite site to do my picture in frames DOES that explain it good enough
I have a total of 7 windows all separate not tabbed open of course two are the nest one still and the other live that why I want to get a bigger screen I m looking at a 24" on the Internet through walmart.com for 179.00 and my 10percent off that also
Duh! I knew that. Andy, that post was meant for you.
Sorry Shirley. I've mixed you two up before. I sometimes overlook the name, just like recognizing faces but forget names. My bad.... I know you just retired from teaching. Hope you're enjoying the "freedom."
I've been watching the triplets at West End this afternoon. They are so funny. K13 keeps flying off to who knows where ... big girl K12 wings off the nest down to the ledge and back up to beat up on the camera...and little guy K14 gets excited and does some wingercizing when K13 lands in the nest, but for the most part I think he wants everybody home again. He's spent the day preening and winging, back and forth. Gonna miss those three.
Hey I got to tell you a story that happened this week I know I told everyone at work but I don't think I did you all We are going to a concert this weekend on Sunday which is FAMILY DAY and Night at the Rays Baseball game after the game is a concert Well Angie put on facebook about it and one of her fiends works were they sell tickets and offered to get us some kick butt seats for the concert OK the funny thing is that when Angie went to pick up the tickets from her Now remember they are also going and have no KIDS at all Well Donna the lady that got tickets asked Jordyn about the song Mashed Potatoes and Mashed Bananas and just all of a sudden started singing that goofy song And Angie laughed and said how doe you know that kids song and she said that since she was going to the concert she thought she should know the songs to sing along Now is that a true friend of what Angie and her worked together years ago and finally found each other on facebook and began the friendship all over again after not seeing each other for a while
I actually can't wait I want to see see Jordyn face when she see them in person that is all she watch when she is here made a 6 hr DVD from the TV of different ones
Well, I expended so much energy baking PNB cookies and watching the trial, there is no more energy to cook. Darth and I are going out to dinner at a local place.
Y'all try to stay in the far right lane and don't exceed the speed limit till I return.
Jerry Blankenberg A small update on a local symbol of American pride: the male bald eagle that has nested at the Norfolk Botanical Garden for several years was recently sighted with a female eagle! Happy news for NBG! 3 hours ago ·LikeUnlike · ·SubscribeUnsubscribe
HURRAH Nick spends the fourth of July with Paula...GREAT. Paula and Lynn you must have enjoyed the drive and the visit. I am off to put some music on to celebrate the new canine member of the blog and to have a bowl of ice cream...Safe trip Paula and Lynn and Nick...I presume Leisl is at home???
Sharon I am glad you are going home...could the high blood pressure have caused all of this to happen. Two medications for blood pressure sounds serious. I hope they work. How do you feel?
SHARON - so happy you get to go home. More prayers coming at you!
PAULA - and baby NICK! So cool. Welcome to your new Momsters buddy!
And Papa Eagle finding a mate at NBG. JUDYE thank you so much for sharing that. You made my day. (Big Hug)
Off to bed for me - no nap today and a long day tomorrow. Get well wishes for everyone under the weather, and Prayers that Sharon gets a diagnosis soon. For KAY's friend KF-Judie and her treatment. For her husband Keith watching his wife go thru cancer again, and for KAY's son Lee on a business trip abroad.
MORE PRAYERS that our Heavenly Father will keep our Momster Travelers, LOLLY & JACK, WV/DANA/CO, JO & FAMILY, EVEN JUDYE on our virtual trips SAFE!
SHARON, leaving the hospital with two meds that should put her in the pink again.
PAULA and Nick hit it off and are heading home. LYNN now on her way toward dear Liesl. Can't wait for word from one or both of these Momsters---pics, too !
Norfolk Daddy struttin' his stuff with a new babe ! Yeah ! Thanks fro sharing, JUDYE.
LORI getting her beauty sleep so she can open SSCC up bright and early in the morning. Thanks for remembering my dear ones in prayer, LORI !
How wonderful to return from a nice dinner to find:
Paula has a new boyfriend - congratulations to both on finding each other; Sharon is home with meds that should help; and the NBG stud muffin has a new sweetheart.
Now need to find out how Shirley's Kathryn is doing and how Liesl managed without her mom.
Thank you all for not exceeding the speed limit by posting a gazillion messages a minute.
Home and fed! Liesl, too. What a nice jaunt Paula and I had. Saw some of "my" lovely Virginia countryside, as well as some wilder parts of WV, too. And NICK is just the sweetest, loveliest G.R.....
Wahoo ! Nick is just settling right in and must sense the fact that "this is home" and "I'm in good hands with this wonderful woman !" PAULA, so happy for you !!!
LYNN, what a happy day for you, too ! Thanks for checking in. I'll bet Liesl is picking up a bit of Nick scent and wondering what the heck you've bee up to !☺
Paula, so happy Nick apparently feels he's just to home with you. Wonder if you'll get any sleep or just stay awake from excitement.
Lynn, glad Liesl survived without her mom. PNB cookies are good - flourless.
A quick note on the Anthony trial. Just saw a discussion on an event I missed today. Young man who worked in a restaurant Casey used to frequent flipped off the prosecutor, someone got a picture, the judge found the flipper offer person in contempt + 6 days in jail + $400 fine + court costs. I really like the judge.
Lynn, thanks so much for making the trek with me! It was so nice to have you along!
The lady brought Nick out, and he laid his head in my lap...and I was sold! But I knew he would be coming home with me...couldn't think of a reason why he shouldn't!
He is a little timid and afraid, but very sweet and gentle. I think he will settle in when he finally realizes this is his furever home! He already loves the backyard! He does know some commands, like sit, lay down and come, which is a good start! And he's already hopped up on the bed twice ☺
Sharon, I am very happy to hear that you are headed home! It will take awhile to get used to the BP meds, the worst thing from what I understand is not taking them on schedule.
DanaCO, so glad you are in CO visiting with your daughter! HAVE FUN FUN FUN!
What wonderful news for Norfolk Dad! Hope it's a match!
Paula, I sent the pics to your email! So glad that Nick settled right in....he's a smart boy---knows that he's got it made now!!!! I know you two are going to be SO happy together. Please send Shar an email about the tea!!!
LOL Lynn. I know about Opa. Was trying to be funny with the oompa, oompa band. Guess it didn't work.
Anyway, Shirley corrected me earlier and I posted an apology. My bad.... sometimes confuse those 2 though I know the difference. Just didn't look closely at the name.
Going to take Jordyn to the the monkeys again tomorrow per her request they don't open till 10 so we probalby do the park for an hour and then go or maybe just come home and she can play for an hour may be better idea that way she won't be to worn out
Well it's turning out to be a great day! Sharon goes home!!!Pray you'll soon be shipshape!! Nick is home with Paula & Lynn was copilot!!How wonderful he put his head in your lap, Paula! Must have known you were coming!!
Re:trial, Fubby saw the flipper. I had a Panda nap & have been on the phone w/good friends who have new house in NC & will be moving soon. She has an unhealthy robin in her front yard. It's too late today to do anything, but I gave her some rehab places to call. If it's still around in AM, maybe they could drop it off on their trip S, for the weekend.
Got to look at Paula's pics & eat rest of din din! BBL
NICK - Welcome to a family of momsters and dadsters that all love you already!! Thanks so much for adopting a human today. I think you will just love our PAULA!! We certainly do!
SHARON - Glad to hear you're home and hope you don't have any more scares like you had this week.
LYNN - Sorry I got confused with whom you were speaking to last night! My bad! Will try and post a pic of our red barn soon - maybe to FB would be easier for me!
JUDIE - Thanks for all your insight into what may be going on in this trial. I'm with most of you in that I believe Casey is guilty, but don't know if they will be able to come to that verdict based on the little I have seen in the trial.
WV DANA - Hoping you're having a great time with your daughter ☺
Oh, Nick, you are a handsome Golden Retriever and your life with PAULA will be golden as well ! I'm glad she likes the story and we thank you for rescueing her today !♥♥♥♥
Night, night JUDYE. Sounds like the usual fun day with Jordyn is ahead. You should both wear RED !
Paula, Thank you so much for putting Nick's pictures on your blog and I loved it that you had KAY's poem to introduce us to his pictures. HEART WARMING POEM KAY. THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH. Paula if I remember correctly you said you were not going to the beach house this weekend...am I rihgt? So Nick is going to have to wait before he sees what fun it will be at the beach. I hope he is able to settle down and have a good rest tonight. Very exciting day for the both of you...
Dragon Boating was cancelled tonight for the storms that we are having. I did go down to the beach however and saw a duck with five chicks...so very cute. I'll see how I get along with video feature of my camera tomorrow...the Dragon Boat will be out for Canada Day. I did not sign up for it as it conflicted with yoga, but it gives me a chance to see if I can video them.
I do not like the new yahoo email format at all! Once you open a mail, there is no indication who it is from until you hit respond or forward......and page just shifts right and you can't see the left column at all. ARGH!!
LOL, Diann....I get it now!!! Oompa!!! Don't mind me----I'm tired! Liesl had me upa t 5:15 again this AM....even tho' she did go back to sleep until almost 7...just when I started sleeping good again!
Yay, Paula. Nick is home! So happy that Lynn could go with you.
Kathryn is sore tonight because of all of the manipulation the doctor did. She really liked him, though. He wants her to take ibuprofen for two weeks. He explained all of the various surgeries that he could do, but said that he did not think they are necessary.
I made a grocery store run for soups and other soft foods. She is doped up tonight, as she took medications when she got home. (She still has a supply of stuff from her previous trip to the doctor.)
He said the problem is muscular. Her joints are okay. They did an x-ray.
If she needs a mouthpiece for nights, she will get that from her regular dentist.
Lynn I bypassed the new Yahoo thing...so I have the same old thing. Works for me...so far
Thank you ... for being the chauffuer (or passenger, navigator) extraordinaire once again...the precious journey to Capon Bridge and back with Precious Cargo !
Yes, Nick...is right exactly where he belongs now !!
Love the pictures, love the story from Kay....on your blog, Paula
We Love you Paula !!! ♥ This is Joy, personified...or would that be, caninified ☺
He made himself right at home, didn't he, Nick that is !
oboy, more pictures to look forward to! Okay, Shirley, sounds like a plan...for Kathryn...and a good Mom you are being, always...and grandmother as well...loving and caring...
just a quickie: James and I both slept in this morning ! could take Wed and Thur off but not Friday we went down to Nana-Judy his maternal grandmother "for real" in Shepherdstown and were treated to many treats, both of us ... he's back in his roost now, and I in mine...but we had a stellar two days, always hard to give him back ! xoxo ♥ Thanks everyone, for caring...
Wanda James returns the hug, and it is a BIG ONE !
Lynn, Today we were in the mid sixties...listen to this though....for the next five days it is supposed to be sunny with temperatures between mid seventies to ninety degrees F...SHHHHHH don't tell any body we will keep it a secret. I do not know where the skies could have more rain. In the upper elevations the rain was snow today which contributed to the mid sixties temperatures. It would be nice if for Canada day activities tomorrow the sun was out...
Prince William and Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge, are a great success on their first day in Canada. He gave a speech in English and French and joked about how by the end of the trip his French should improve. He is so sweet really.
aaah, good report Hoda ! Won't tell a soul about the Weather Forecast
French, somewhat of a universal language. One time my mother was able to communicate with a Chinese Catholic Priest...she surprised everyone on that one !
Playing a little 52-pick-up here, plants need water and THIS BIRD needs a shower. Will return in a little while (( hugs ♥ )) in the meantime xo
LYNN, I'm in full agreement w/you on yahoo mail format. I was not given an option to stay w/the old. Spellchecker doesn't yet work, guess there are some kinks still being worked out.
SHIRLEY, sure hope Kathryn can get the correction and relief needed without surgery. Sounds hopeful !
MARGY, so glad, but not surprised you had a great couple of days with James ! You are each such a blessing to the other--sweet !♥♥♥
Paula how lucky for Nick to be introduced to swimming this weekend...a charmed life he is going to discover...Does he follow you about from room to room when you move about the house? I wonder what it will be like for him to get in the car for a long drive tomorrow. You said he liked the drive today so it speaks well to his being a good travelling companion...Woof Woof Nick = Good Do Nick.
Hunter visited his new school today and met the secretary and the principal. He also visited his Aunt Sandy, who teaches there. She is teaching summer school.
They found out that I am a retired teacher and immediately invited me to volunteer.
Kathryn suggested that Hunter might want to help his aunt--she teaches special education--and she thinks that he can help her as a buddy to one of her students. Hunter is a little reluctant, but I think it would be very good for him as well as for the other child.
I saw "The Flipper" segment today. The young man was, and wisely so, contrite, apologetic and respectful. Had he been the impudent smart aleck his gesture would indicate I'm sure the judge would have come down even harder. He did that with the jury in the courtroom and could well have caused a mistrial had any of them seen it. Good judge and doing everything he can to make sure this thing winds up and gets to the jury before something can go wrong.
Paula, I was not given an option on the mail, like Kay said, either. I could not get into it at all until I clicked on a specific thing and it came up this way. It is all in greens....page seems broader....ARGH!
Shirley, my son's name is Dr. Lee F. Cronk. Do ask her ! I plan to tell Lee about this "small world" thing with Virginia when he returns. I feel sure they know of each other and who knows ? She may have been one of his own grad students.
I don't understand why the guy flipping the bird would cause a mistrial.....Judie---any idea why? The way I heard it was that if it had been directed at defense, then it would have. COnfusing.
Margy, glad you had a fun two days with James!
Hoda, great sounding weather forecast!! Hope it holds true! What day is Canada Day?
Shirley, good to know that Kat is not truly afflicted with TMJ syndrome. Wonder what has caused the muscular problem? COuld she be clenching when sleeping from stress? If so, the mouthpiece should help a lot.
Paula, options only lets me change page color/motif. No stationary option available. The other options are just usual things like keeping a copy of sent mail, signature, saving new contacts, etc.

«Oldest ‹Older 601 – 800 of 1141 Newer› Newest»Judy, when you are talking about British Columbia, I don't think that the difference between where many of us live and Florida is that big of big deal, especially for our pretend road trips. Hop on!
Hi BEagle!
SHIRLEY - LOL, virtual road trips!
Love it!
Good morning, everyone.
Sharon, thank you for stopping by so early. Thoughts will be with you for good test results and some very good and consistent medical answers. Hi Thelma. Thank you for keeping us updated also.
We are a well-traveled bunch, Lori.
If I disappear, I am having problems with my Internet connection for some reason.
We are thinking of you, Sharon. Keep that in mind today.
Good morning, Judie!
BEagle! BEagle! Are you still out there???
Good morning. A cool 65° here and lovely again. Not to last---heat and muggies to return today.
Kay---here is what my corn feeder is like---but mine is painted in camouflage colors:
Feeder
Deer, turkey, racoons, squirrels, birds all use it.....even the bear when it was around!! Yes, trail cam is aimed at it. Nearby---also in cam view---is a salt lick and a mineral lick.
Morning friends! They took Sher down for the stress test a minute ago. I sure do pray they find out something so we can start getting in the solution. This anemia and high blood pressure is worrying me to death!!!
Prayers, Sissy.
Guess it would shake me up a bit to attract a bear to my feeders, Lynn.
Checking out some of the nests. Seeing who has fledged and who has not. The Windows forum helps.
Good morning, again.
Good morning, a third and final time this morning.
PAULA, I am so excited for you today. I truly hope you and Nick will be an instant furever pair. So happy Lynn will be with you to help.
Hi BEagle, nice to have you visit to morning. Don't be such a stranger.
Okay, off to get some coffee, the newspaper, and to watch the trial. Hope we hear something about Sharon sooner rather than later.
That is an interesting report on psychopaths. It explains things..sorta.
Hi, Thelma. Are you at the hospital? Yeah---if they are on schedule, she should already be in the EKG lab.....keep us posted, please!
Wow, Shirley....did Rus get over that fireworks fear?
Also....re: Casey.....her emotional reactions are part of her narcissism...she reacts only when it's about HER....
Hi, BEagle! Good that you popped in for a visit!!
Hi BEagle! Nice to "see" you!
JUDIE, thanks for weighing in on the CA trial. It's so nice to have a resident expert! Enjoy your coffee.
SISSY, Prayers for the entire Sharon brigade at the hospital. Take care.
Correct Lynn. Narcissism is one of the personality disorders associated with psychopaths (and sociopaths). The other, of course, is Antisocial Personality Disorder.
Bye
Lynn, Rus definitely got over the fear. He is a typical male-who-likes-to-blow-things-up kind of guy. I am not sure how old he was, maybe two. Really young. We got him out of there when we saw how afraid he was. We were a bit close for me, too. Stuff from the fireworks was falling on the car.
Narcissism: Hmm, I think I have met a few people with this condition.
I have a doe and two fawns roaming my neighborhood. They have a calming effect.
People in cars are slowing and some stop when they see the deer.
My apple tree was ravaged by frost. What few little apples were left are dropping. The deer keep them cleaned up.
I will check in later to see how Sharon is doing.
I'm not sure of the difference between a sociopath and a psychopath.
Good question, BEagle.
Deer in your neighborhood. I hope they are far from major highways.
It would be nice to see so peaceful a scene.
I am in the city proper. I love to see the deer but worry about them and their safety. I have only seen one hurt by a car in the years since the deer arrived.
But then I worry about the children that play in the road too. There's always something.
I may need to get some "CAUTION: Deer Crossing" signs.
Sounds like a good idea to protect both the people and the deer, BEagle.
Good Morning Everyone ( :
I hope when I read comments I find that some that were not feeling well are feeling better.
Nice weather here.
Hoping for a baby panda.
Oh I'm a BIG loser
$1.00 we ate the buffet there very good food.
There it is out ( : boy Lynn-Hedgie tell Mema Jo I said "it feels good to say it on here". I'm not worried who knows anymore. I am having fun and lots of laughter.
Thanks for the apple idea Hedgie.
Will check into it at the local market.
I'll tell you all later about the flight out here. lol
Praying for Sharon and the worried family and for them to be able to help Sharon and get her healthy and back to us.
Good Morning Friends - almost ready to start down the road to the beach.
Our Sharon is too busy this morning to be concerned about the 'b' word. Prayers
for her to find some answers and then
have them healed!
Dana, I heard you and I think I win
the bet I made with myself that your life is too good right now to keep it a
secret from all of us! Do enjoy your time with your daughter! ((hugs))
I have been on FB and have been viewing
all the pics that Steve has placed on his page of the Youth conference that
was held at NCTC. Looks fabulous!
Just saw my first new fawn!!! Or as Loretta calls them, Spotty! So pretty.
LOL, DanaWV....so glad you spilled the beans! And glad that you are having a great visit!!!!
Quick visit.
So fun to have deer make a visit with the spotty ones. Wish I could be in a more secluded area to enjoy the pleasures of wildlife.
Two basic distinctions:
1) sociopath is more often used by psychologists who consider social/environmental/medical influences on behavior while psychopath is more typically used by psychiatrists who prefer a medical explanation for human behavior. 2) Psychopath is used to describe a sociopath who has gone beyond antisocial narcissistic behaviors to actual criminal behavior (hence my reference to Ms. Anthony as a psychopath).
Bye Jo.
Continue having great fun, Dana.
BBL
Stress test went well. Having echo now.
Dana, mom and fawn were about 100 feet out in back. They didn't come in to the feeder, since it's not dropping corn yet.
Thelma---was the stress test on the treadmill or was it chemical?
Echo is a breeze....I've had it done.
Thanks Thelma for the update just now on Sharon.
Whoo Hoo, Dana is in CO with her daughter!!!! Enjoy Dana!!
Another Whoo hoo, good stress test for Sharon.
Lynn, gotcha on the exit!! Thanks.
I'm gonna get a doggie today! ☺
Gotta get back to work, busy work will make the time fly...
They did the stress test chemically and Becky said she got some symptoms from it. Pain in the back of her head and sick. So, I don't know if that is a positive study or negative. Hedgie, do you reckon maybe her thyroid could be out of whack or something causing all these symptoms?
DanaWV is DanaCO for the present. Good for you, Dana!
Hunter and I are dressed and ready, so that when Kathryn gets home, we can head out to get him registered at his new elementary school. I have to take proof of residency and sign the papers saying that they live with me.
Then we'll go to Culpeper for Kathryn's appointment.
Shirley, Beagle, Judie, Lori, Hedgie-Lynn, JudyE, Thelma, Kay, Sharon, and Lurkers.
Lynne2 praying a job opens where they have nicer people. You are such a good person. I can't believe those people. Although lots of
times things come through people being jealious and maybe they are jealious of you.
WHY you say???? BECAUSE YOU ARE GOOD!!! ( :
Mema Jo enjoy the beach house.
Shirley your Rus almost blew up WoW!
BEagle aww two fawns and a momma.
But no babies, and she doesn't LOOK preggers.
gotta run....off to HAPPY JOB today!
Glad you are off to a HAPPY job Lynne2 ( :
Thanks for the explanation Judie.
Can someone tell me. When did George Anthony have an intimate relationship With Krystal Halloway?
I never knew that.
Out the door
Love you all! ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Danawv/co---defense claims that George had affair around the time that Caylee's body was found.....he denies it. Just woman's word against his.
All I csn say is that truTV and HLN better NOT break to any ads if Casey takes the stand!!
Happy TH!! Weather much better, but still no rain!
Read that some of Sharon's tests are done. Hope the pinpoint problem ASAP! Thank you Sissy & T-Bird for keeping us up to date. Prayers for all of you! ☺♥
TY Judie on your definitions.
Local Briggs Animal Adoption Center has a precious doxie mix on DC tv station right now....cute boy!! They are a no-kill facility, and do great work!
Stress test and echo is over but no results yet. Stool tests negative and my hemoglobin went from 8.7 yesterday to 9
today. Still don't know anything yet. Love you.
Just saw another doe with two tiny fawns....one smaller than the other. So cute!! Of course, too far back to get pics.
Yea, Sharon. Going the right direction now! Glad the stool was negative. So what's next?? WHen will you get the stress test and echo results?
Taking a quick break.
Lynn, at least she isn't called Wendy Breese.
Off to do some stuff. BBL
Good Morning...
LORI,KAY JUDY E you are invited to come to BC and we can tape the Dragon Boat then.LOL
No eagles this morning.
Safe travel JO , PAULA , LYNN and LOLLY
Jordyn down for a nap and I should clean but no instead I head to the puter to say hey and Both Jordyn and I got soaked in a down pour at the park I picked her up and was running to the car and she just busted out laughed "so funny OMA so funny" she kept saying I don't know if it was us raining or her getting wet but she had a blast in the meantime Got home and changed our cloths and then we went to McDonalds where she could play with other kids there There is always some one there playing so now she is out like a light

Casey Anthony will NOT testify.
CNN says "Prosecutors to call rebuttal witnesses."
I know they just posted it on FAcebook my BAY NEWS 9 did

Well TRH are here...they arrived to Ottawa and looked well...That would be the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. We made him a special flag and it looks good flying on the car they took to leave the airport...BBL
Another quick break.
Hoda, I am sure the royal couple will enjoy their visit. Wish them well, of course. Also hope that Dallas area gets some helpful rain.
Andy, hope you get all that transcription done for tonight. Hate when I have to rush to get work done.
JudyE, sometimes rain can be fun. Glad you and Jordyn had a nice fun morning.
Called Lynn to let her know Ms. Anthony will not testify. Knew her inquiring mind would want to know before tonight. They are on their way.
BBL
Peanut butter cookies?????
Kathryn wants to know when they will be ready.
Hunter thinks you should put miniature Reeces Cups in the middlesbrough and let them melt.
Let me know if anything major happens at the trial.
That's middle. The phone thinks it should take over.
Good afternoon everyone.
I missed Hoda - Howdy Hoda!!
Andy is the transcribed.
I have a total of 7 windows all separate not tabbed open of course two are the nest one still and the other live that why I want to get a bigger screen I m looking at a 24" on the Internet through walmart.com for 179.00 and my 10percent off that also
I can't believe she is still sleeping Wore her out and Angie said she had a belly ac-hey night last nite
Transcriber.
Shirley, after you finish Andy's transcription, you and Kathryn and Hunter need to head North to the PNB cookies.
Duh! I knew that. Andy, that post was meant for you.
Sorry Shirley. I've mixed you two up before. I sometimes overlook the name, just like recognizing faces but forget names. My bad.... I know you just retired from teaching. Hope you're enjoying the "freedom."
Sounds like a plan, Judie!
Pb cookies are easy to chew. Kathryn can enjoy them even with TMJ.
JUDYE - sorry I'm having Monitor Envy!
You have a 24" monitor? Holy cow!
Think Lynn and Paula are at Nick's house yet?
NO NO I have a 19 now and want to buy the one from walmart.com
Well that's a good price! Geez a 24" would be TV size for me. lol.
Excuse me, I hear a hairball about to come up from someone. Ah, it's Freddy.
BBIALW
Yesterday the eaglet showed up at TwoHarbor for a while also
Hey I got to tell you a story that happened this week I know I told everyone at work but I don't think I did you all We are going to a concert this weekend on Sunday which is FAMILY DAY and Night at the Rays Baseball game after the game is a concert Well Angie put on facebook about it and one of her fiends works were they sell tickets and offered to get us some kick butt seats for the concert OK the funny thing is that when Angie went to pick up the tickets from her Now remember they are also going and have no KIDS at all Well Donna the lady that got tickets asked Jordyn about the song Mashed Potatoes and Mashed Bananas and just all of a sudden started singing that goofy song And Angie laughed and said how doe you know that kids song and she said that since she was going to the concert she thought she should know the songs to sing along Now is that a true friend of what Angie and her worked together years ago and finally found each other on facebook and began the friendship all over again after not seeing each other for a while

Love you all, dearly! ♥
Howdy all!
Just dropping Lynn off in Mburg....Nick has been a great car rider....heading home...probably won't post till after 7
Hooray! Great weekend ahead for the momsters & dadsters.
Paula has a new 4 legged traveling companion. Waiting for pix.
And Sharon is coming home and on the road to recovery!
JudyE, have to digest what you posted about your speeding.
This is a RED letter day for us !
My wish list:
To hear all about their day from MARGY and James the Wise !☼
To have DANAMO drop by, at least for a quick hello !♥
For BELLE and TRUDER to drop by for a welfare check !☺
How wonderful to return from a nice dinner to find:
Paula has a new boyfriend - congratulations to both on finding each other; Sharon is home with meds that should help; and the NBG stud muffin has a new sweetheart.
Now need to find out how Shirley's Kathryn is doing and how Liesl managed without her mom.
Thank you all for not exceeding the speed limit by posting a gazillion messages a minute.
BBL
Home with Nick! He has already chased a rabbit, a bird, been to the bathroom...now eating dinner! Life is good! ☺
Heading back outside. BBS
That's great Paula.
I'll bet Liesl is picking up a bit of Nick scent and wondering what the heck you've bee up to !☺
PB Cookies!!!! My favs!!!! Judie, nothing wrong with being hooked on them!
LOL, Shirley....middlesbrough....wondered what that meant!!
What did Kat find out??
It is AWESOME PAULA...Nick is settling in fine and what a delight to read how he came to explore his new home...
Glad Leisl was well when you got home Lynn and she must be pleased to have you back.
Been up to !
Diann, have gotten as far as your question....German grandpa is Opa.
Diann---it's Andy doing transcription! (along with Sissy, and Sharon when she's well!).
Time for Jeopardy....BBIALW
Hello again...trying to catch up on posts while I grab a bite to eat. Nick is laying here on the floor....he sends greeting! woof!
BBL
I put a couple of Nick Pics on my blog, and a little story that Kay emailed me. I think plenty of you can relate to the story!
Hurrah for Sharon! Hope the BP is the only problem....tho' Paula has some advice for you---will let her tell you; I had never heard about it!!!
WOW-----guy in court gallery sentenced to 6 days in jail for contempt for flipping prosecutor the bird!!!!
Liesl had a nice snooze...hated to wake her up! She must have stayed awake the whole time I was gone!!!
So cool about the NBG male.....hope he has selected a good fertile gal!!!
Paula, I sent the pics to your email!
So glad that Nick settled right in....he's a smart boy---knows that he's got it made now!!!! I know you two are going to be SO happy together. Please send Shar an email about the tea!!!
Oh my.....what a beautiful poem, Kay....I saved it for my group!!!
Lights are fading from our nest is never a good sign Come on eagles we need a fix for our addiction
LOL Lynn. I know about Opa. Was trying to be funny with the oompa, oompa band. Guess it didn't work.
Anyway, Shirley corrected me earlier and I posted an apology. My bad.... sometimes confuse those 2 though I know the difference. Just didn't look closely at the name.
Paula, that's an adorable Golden.
How do you do, Nick

Judie, Love the flipper offer story! LOL
Yes, where's our Margy? Want to hear about her day with James.
I put Kay's story on my blog and FB...I'm sure some of you have read it before, if not, please do, I love it!
There she is...Hi Margy!
BBL
Evening Friends!!
MARGY, what did you and James do today ?
Hoda, how are your temps today? Sorry the storms messed up your row!
I think Paula IS going to the beach house this weekend.
Lynn, they haven't changed my mail format yet...wonder if there are options that you can adjust?
Hoda, I am going to the beach this weekend! Told Nick he could go swimming this weekend ☺ Not going the following weekend.
OK, gotta try and get some stuff done so I CAN go to the beach tomorrow night!
Thank you all for all your wonderful wishes and comments!
Oh Lynn, got the pics, will post those on my blog too!
BBIALW
Hi,
Lynn
I bypassed the new Yahoo thing...so I have the same old thing.
Works for me...so far
Thank you ... for being the chauffuer (or passenger, navigator)
extraordinaire once again...the precious journey to Capon Bridge and back with Precious Cargo !
Yes, Nick...is right exactly where he belongs now !!
Love the pictures, love the story from Kay....on your blog, Paula
We Love you Paula !!! ♥
This is Joy, personified...or would that be, caninified ☺
He made himself right at home, didn't he, Nick that is !
xoxo ♥
Flipper-offer. That was pretty dumb. Sounds like he got what he deserved.
oboy, more pictures to look forward to!
Okay, Shirley, sounds like a plan...for Kathryn...and a good Mom you are being, always...and grandmother as well...loving and caring...
xoxox
just a quickie:
James and I both slept in this morning !
could take Wed and Thur off but not Friday
we went down to Nana-Judy his maternal grandmother "for real" in Shepherdstown and were treated to many treats, both of us ...
he's back in his roost now, and I in mine...but we had a stellar two days, always hard to give him back !
xoxo ♥ Thanks everyone, for caring...
Wanda
James returns the hug, and it is a BIG ONE !
Cool news about a possible new gal for NBG Daddy...thanks JudyE for posting !
and way Cool, literally, DANA being in Colorado,
and yes, Shirley, she is
DanaCO now for a few days, cool catch on that !
Thanks for posting the poem and pictures, Paula. I am sure Nick realizes how lucky he is. Such a beautiful dog.
Tried to post under your pictures, but something was not working.
He is so sweet really.
oh by the way:
RED FRIDAY
coming up...
am sure that Jo took her Red Shirts to the OCEAN with her...
glad to hear the NCTC Youth Conference is going well, thanks for that post, I think it was Paula...
thinking of Robyn's Tori and Nilla's Dawn...hope both are improving by the minute...
xoxo Prayers, Moms and Daughters ♥
aaah, good report Hoda !
Won't tell a soul about the Weather Forecast
French, somewhat of a universal language. One time my mother was able to communicate with a Chinese Catholic Priest...she surprised everyone on that one !
Playing a little 52-pick-up here, plants need water and THIS BIRD needs a shower.
Will return in a little while
(( hugs ♥ )) in the meantime
xo
Woof Woof Nick = Good DOG Nick sorry about the typo
I saw "The Flipper" segment today. The young man was, and wisely so, contrite, apologetic and respectful. Had he been the impudent smart aleck his gesture would indicate I'm sure the judge would have come down even harder. He did that with the jury in the courtroom and could well have caused a mistrial had any of them seen it. Good judge and doing everything he can to make sure this thing winds up and gets to the jury before something can go wrong.
Kay, I was thinking that I might ask my cousin Virginia if she knows your son. I can't remember if you've given us his name.
Virginia might be surprised that I am talking about her.
Paula, I was not given an option on the mail, like Kay said, either. I could not get into it at all until I clicked on a specific thing and it came up this way. It is all in greens....page seems broader....ARGH!
Kay, I was thinking that I might ask my cousin Virginia if she knows your son. I can't remember if you've given us his name.
Virginia might be surprised that I am talking about her.
Shirley, my son's name is Dr. Lee F. Cronk. Do ask her ! I plan to tell Lee about this "small world" thing with Virginia when he returns. I feel sure they know of each other and who knows ? She may have been one of his own grad students.
Oh my, we are about to split.
Are TRC coming anywhere close to your town?
Lynn, I meant changing some options in the yahoo mail program might make it display differently. Look for an options button...
Shirley, good to know that Kat is not truly afflicted with TMJ syndrome. Wonder what has caused the muscular problem? COuld she be clenching when sleeping from stress? If so, the mouthpiece should help a lot.
Nice that Hunter got a preview of his school, and even better that he may be able to mentor another student!
All of the Anthony pets....many names the same as ones I have had. May they all RIP.
Paula, options only lets me change page color/motif. No stationary option available. The other options are just usual things like keeping a copy of sent mail, signature, saving new contacts, etc.
Split!
Hay-Hay-Hayey!
