Well, once again the cam has been on for an hour and a half with no "refreshment" needed. I guess Belle and Truder have gone fishin'. I'm moving for a catch up on e-mail, news, etc.. HAGD sweet Early Birds ! BBL
No prob, LORI, we do have several Judy,ie,E's to keep track of ! Everyone one of them a delight to know ! KF-Judy's husband, Keith, is a dear friend and fellow birder. He and I exchange bird pics and articles frequently. Every year he spends about a week in Nebraska, his home State, sitting in blinds and observing the annual migration of Sandhill Cranes. Can't seem to bring him into the wonderful world of eagles. He loves his cranes as well as the many birds he feeds and observes at their MN home. Good people ! All my kids married into wonderful families and what a blessing that is !
Ladybugs--You do not have to say "I love ladybugs" to get tagged. My daughter Susan has a reputation for taking all kinds of little critters. Recently her boss brought her a ladybug that was sitting on his shirt because he knew she would take care of it. She gathered it up and took it outdoors and released it.
Susan has been known to do the same thing with mice. (I have a feeling that the mice come right back in the store.)
To Kill a Mockingbird--one of my favorites, too, Kay. One of the books I taught when I had ninth graders. I kept my personal copy of the movie.
When we lived in North Carolina, we had chinaberry trees in the front yard and scuppernong vines in the backyard, so when they are mentioned in the book, I feel a special connection. And the expression "what in Sam Hill?" goes right back to my childhood, too.
Morning all:) Today's nest weather-Mostly cloudy this morning... then partly sunny with a slight chance of showers this afternoon. Highs in the mid 80s. East winds around 5 mph...becoming southeast around 5 mph this afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent. Judie you may have to spray your milkweed more than once until the aphids are gone, often I just spray water from a hose or spray bottle. Ladybugs are great, but they will eat aphids and also butterfly eggs, so you want to avoid them if possible if you want monarch caterpillars on your plants. Gotta go throw some plants in the ground, later gators... Have a great day everybody!
You have to work at that awful hour, but if you could get up and enjoy the quiet morning and still have time in the day to get things done, you'd agree with me, right??
Some days I feel like I don't get started until darn near noon!! That's terrible!!
I guess I do well with 12 hours upstairs and 12 hours downstairs!
I like to stay in bed in the morning and read my Bible before my feet hit the floor, because once my day starts, I never get back to that gLORIous reading!
GOOD MORNING... Linda, wish I could sleep at least 8 hour. I usually sleep only 6 hrs. no matter what...that's seems to be the best I can do.
Having a window A/C installed today, Capt. Gene was bitten by something and is at ER at the VA, I have appt. to get tooth capped and then plant some flowers for GG. Need to get busy.
Those of you who don't have facebook, I posted Paula's cabinets on my blog, SMILES. Kitchen is looking good. Love her new counter tops...brings out the cabinets. We are having fun right along with her as she redecorates her Paradise:)
WANDA - I guess if 6 hours gets you rested enough, that is good, but for me 9 hours seems to be the best and if guilt didn't set in, I could go for 12!!
But honestly, if I sleep more than 9 hours I am sluggish and can't get my act together for the day!
Hope Gene is okay. I got some nasty bite on my ankle about a week ago. It's nasty looking, but no further swelling or symptoms.
Sounds like a busy day, Wanda. Best to you for a good one and prayers for Gene's bite.
Just posted a picture of what is happening at my new seed block. It is popular with the squirrels.
I think there is enough to share, but the squirrels seem to disagree! They are playing King of the Mountain with the seed block.
Someday I will get a better camera so I can take good pictures, but it hasn't been too long ago that I was beginning to learn how to manage this one. And I still haven't really mastered it. Probably should have adjusted the setting.
Wanda You are probably already out the door... Healing prayers for Gene and the something-bite good luck at the dentist and this seems like it could be a pretty good day for planting
July is nearing and I want to post the birthdays/anniversaries for the month Let me know by email if there are others then those I post............. Anniversary ♥ 4th Bev & Tom Riffe Birthdays 1st Margy Hoogland aka Magpie Janet Kolb aka Nilla 11th Donna Thompson 16th Judie Vajda 17th Jack Ellis (Lolly's hubby) 21st Deb Schneider 23rd Diane Flanagan 25th Pamela Haines 30th Vicky Connell
As you can see from the list we have a full month of celebration! Most of the above are Momsters (Some are not bloggers but you see them in emails) I encourage all of you to belong to the E_Momster/Dadster group so that these addresses will be sent to you for sending best wishes. Let me know if I missed you
Home for lunch I see no new thread to click on to KAY I love your lady bug story thats how my eagle and Nascar collection got so BIG I only have 67 emails to read so let get to reading then before I go back to work
PAULA, the kitchen is lookin' good ! Looks like a plan that makes it possible for more than one person at a time to work in it and that's a good thing. I think excitement is building for all of us as we look forward to Thursday and your first look at Nick ! Lynn may be able to take some pics of you with him, glad she's going along !
JO, thanks for the July celebration list ! It was LORI who asked what the six ♥'s symbolizes, but this inquiring mind wants to know, too. She and I use 7 ♥'s for the number of letters in Liberty.
SHIRLEY, it's going to be interesting to see how long the seed block lasts and how many varieties of creatures it attracts. We have so many squirrels and birds in this neighborhood, I swear it'd be gone in a day ! I have the perfect spot for a block behind my unit, but am sure it wouldn't fit in with condo rules n' regs.:( There are some drawbacks to this "carefree" life style.
KAY adding Judy to our prayer list so sad after fighting one battle just to get something else. SIL just text ed me back he will stop by while I'm at work to check the thermostat want new batteries
just checked the injured tree....BIG scrape on the inner skin of the tree...where the bark has been torn off, and loose bark as well.... have to see what can be done on that....
MARGY, LOL, I can see why you thought John was a backpack ! His backwards cap sort of looks like a handle ! Thanks to you and all who are remembering KFJudy in your prayers.
WANDA, do so hope that bite Gene has is not a serious poisoning and will be easily remedied. Meantime, good look with the capping to improve your own bite ! Don't be too hard on your bod as you plant flowers at GG's ! What a beautiful daughter you are ! What room does the new window A/C go in ?
I am SO late getting out of LM--sorry. Have not been ignoring you. Needed to get some housekeeping chores done.....laundry still in the works. Trial is back in session today....but lunch recess now.
Great that you all saw eagles in our nest! Good reports.
Nice video from Decorah, JudyE---as for the raceway.....maybe there is a dam there....I don't remember for sure.
Kay, SO sorry to hear about your friends and son's MIL. The perils of treatment for sure---always the possibility of it causing something else. :( Prayers for successful treatment again for her.
JUDY, I see you have the same kind of SIL I have in Julie's Hugh. He's my computer guru and fix-it man. I may be calling him later today--the TV flipped off during the View and I can't get it to come back on. Perhaps the HD box needs a new battery, but I can't see how to take care of it. I remember my son mentioning it had a battery(s) when he installed it a year and a half ago. Anyway, bottom line is we both have super SIL's !
See where Thelma came in! We heard the eagle announcement, kiddo, but no details....how close? any pics???!!!!
And Megan had a few minutes to stop in, too! I emailed Judie about the ladybugs, in case she doesn't see Megan's advice cause I think she may have been planning to go buy some today!
tree is some sort of ash but not sure which checked with City Police, tree damage probably not on their report for insurance called Landlord, left message... so, wait and see it is it's a big tree, on corner of property provides good shade but more dear, privacy from across the streeters
aphids have really done a nasty chewing job on many of my tomnato blooms! I am zapping them when I see new ones think I might have overdone treatment on some of the leaves, they are looking shaggy and yellowed going shopping for ladybugs after some housework which has to come first
Poor Gene---wonder what nailed him?? Where is the bite, Wanda?? Hope the rest of your day goes well.
Linda, I have a hard time doing mornings, too. I am a nightowl, but onky sleep 6 or 7 hrs. I like my mornings calm and slow. My "whirling dervish" activity is afternoon/evening!!
Jo....Donna Thompson....??? Is that Mauley Donna?? I think Deb Schneider flew our coop. Never got a word from her about OH last fall after she said she had made reservations, and never responded to any emails sent. Hope that all was okay with her...which reminds me that I hope ALL MOMSTERS and DADSTERS have made someone in their family aware of their link to us so that someone will contact us if anything happens to them!
I first want to say thank you for all your prayers, it sure seemed to work. Tori is sitting in a chair, on reg O2 and eating reg food. Today she goes to the 7th floor and there is a chance she may be home before the 4th, I will know more when I get back to the hosp today and talk to the doctors. Her dad flies out tomorrow and today I am bringing her 2 best friends up. Tori's main doctor said they can take turns spending the night in her room, her reasoning was anything that raises her spirits will be good for her.
I will know more today but after last monday when they were talking there was a chance she can die and to see her today makes one believe in miracles.
I'll stay in touch but will be spending the next 4 days in dc and staying the nights in baltimore so the girls can take turns spending the night...
The eagle was in a tree right on the water and we were sitting right in front of it. Watched it fly off to the right and circle back around and into the woods. Kelsey's mom got some pics in flight so I am waiting on Andrew to send them to me.
Oh, Robyn, what glorious news! So very relieved that TOri has turned the corner....and great that her friends will be allowed to stay. GOod that her dad stayed for the week....I'm sure that it was a little bit easier on oyu to have someone else share the burden of anxiety and fear. Tell Tori how much we love her!!!
Robyn, thanks so much for the great news on Tori!! Will still keep her in our thoughts and prayers. I am sure you are doing a happy dance! Glad they are letting her friends in, that should really pick up her spirits.
Sharon, there is nothing more glorious than watching an eagle in flight!!
ROBYN, the news about the way Tori is responding to the care given at Children's is, to say the least, thrilling ! It's wonderful that she can even have friends stay over ! She's a trooper ! Our prayers will continue, of course.
Miraculous news about Tori! I think we were able to do it again with prayers. Robyn it really is so uplifting for all of us and to you especially. Great doc to suggest such a good thing as having a best friend overnight! Hope they like hospital nightly snacks.
Know that you are very relieved, Robyn. It is so hard to have your child hospitalized at any time, even worse when it is so serious. God bless you, Tori, and her father.
Having friends over sounds like the best medicine possible.
Lynn I think you are thinking the same as I am concerning Momsters Deb and Donna. I really have not way of updating who to take off of our list unless I go ahead and email them first or when someone notifies me.....
I'll try to find out more before publishes the list on the email from Momsters.
Have tried to catch up on the blog this morning. YAY! Our eagles showed up!!!! SO good to see Belle has been here, and Truder, too. Thank you for the wonderful accounts of nest happenings!
I see, too, that more prayers are needed. Adding Kay's son Lee, KF Judy, and Keith to the list. Father Captain Gene, too! Gosh, do you know what bit him? Hope he gets better swiftly!
Will be in lurk mode all day. Have TONS of transcription to do for school. Oh--someone asked about the transcription job offer. After giving them my e-mail address and double-checking to make sure they had it correctly, I never heard back from them. I had prayed and asked for a sign whether to work with them or not, and I take their lack of communication as a "no." I have checked my incoming e-mails several times every day, even my "junk e-mail" file, and nothing at all. I figure that if their situation was so desperate that they needed help immediately, they must have found someone else.
Say, good to see T-Bird here today! So excited about your eagle sighting! Hope the pictures turned out well!
Margy, I would think that the injured tree from the weekend accident would need the injury painted over with some of that stuff they use when branches are trimmed off. If the injury doesn't go completely around the trunk, it will hopefully recover.
Well, better get moving here. I'll check in later tonight. HAGD, everyone! :o]
WV DANA, ANDY picked up on the fact that KFJudy's hubby is Keith. I'm sure some prayers for him will help, too. Such dire medical problems effect mates more than we realize. Judy and Keith will have been married 52 years on July 23---one of the most wonderful marriages I've ever seen.
WANDA, in my noontime post to you I said "good look" where LUCK was the word I wanted. Could be a good look, too, depending on which tooth is being capped. ☺ I know you're probably on hands and knees as you plant flowers, but hope we'll hear about Gene's VA visit soon.
My delete, more typos. I must need a nap and a fig newton. I meant, such dire medical problems Affect mates....
My nerves are jangled. For several hours there have been horrendous noises emanating from our basement. Jack hammers, drills... There is a water leak under cement so a hole is being drilled in the flooring. The sounds reverberate thoughout the building making it sound as if they are coming right through your own walls. Poor neighbor Puggle, Kobe, can't figure out what's wrong ! If I'd known what was up I would have left for the day !
Been busy today watching the trial and doing advance cooking.
Lori, the book is not a textbook but I often read books that help provide insight and ideas for use in lectures and critical thinking assignments. This author looks at how we assign evil to various categories of crime; e.g. we tend to perceive as less evil a long-term abuse victim who kills the abuser versus a sexual sadist serial killer.
711-that's a good number!! Been doing a few things around the house, boring! We had a tiny bit of rain last night & very cloudy here now. Threat of rain today & TU. Yea, right!
Kay, I am sorry about your friend and son's mother-in-law. I do hope the treatment will be successful Prayers for healing.
Lynne2, I sure am wishing the best outcome for Steve and the UE. You two really need a dose of good luck.
Thank you Paula for the location. Crisfield's is a favorite place to eat and we are planning a visit to the Bathesda restaurant soon. Lovely area. I can understand how happy you are.
Diann, salad yes. Snails, not. It's been a long time ago so will say that it is difficult to ignore an armed body guard disguised as a dinner guest.
Megan, thank you for the information. I love lady bugs and did not realize they would eat butterfly eggs. Glad I got too busy to get to the garden center. I will check daily and spray as needed. Again, thank you.
Glad you got that info, Judie. Would hate to have had you go to all of that trouble and then have ladybugs eat your little butterfly eggs. I would have felt awful.
been avoiding making this post but I know Captain Father Gene would appreciate it: nothing quite like fresh venison liver, and onions especially if cooked at the campsite
Kay sounds, very noisy and irritating, kind of like it is here when bowling balls sound from the floor above or people arguing in the parking lot and crashing into trees at 5 o'clock in the morning
Thanks Andy for the info about tree paint: have to wait for call back from landlord in case they want to pursue an insurance claim and sorry about no contact back on the transcription job... yes, you have have the right idea, that was a sign there must be something better waiting on you ! xo ttfn Eagle Pals xo
I would eat liver and onions. I've never had venison liver and onions. I am kind of like Kathryn. I am happier if the meats I eat come wrapped from the grocery store.
Have tried to do a quick catch up of the most recent 100 posts.
Wanda, please give Gene my best for a quick recovery. As for you, I guess you are just jealous because I'm having a broken cap replaced tomorrow so you had to do one the day before. Seriously, hope you also are doing okay. Hugs for GG.
Hi to all I've missed along the way in catching up. I must say I got nervous when I saw Lori say something about Judie and Lee -- sure hope Darth doesn't see the Lee part.
I have a few kind friends that have kept me well-supplied with wild game for several years now sure has saved me some money, and been some goooooood eating
Shirley, if your talking about osprey heads bobbing from side to side, they are usually watching something else flying or maybe in the weatewr, like canoe, etc. I've seen that on monitor in Vis. Ctr.
Was checking forums from overseas and saw that the white-tailed sea eagles didn't stay at nest. The (somewhat nasty) lesser spotted eagles only had one egg hatch, so viewers were happy they wouldn't see anything sad.Didn't check the storks, but Finney,Saaksi, has it's own forum and they think the 4th tiny chick just perished from lack of food. There were pics of it in nest on 23rd. And I said I would never go back there! 4 chicks surviving is very rare. At Park here, a 4th is usually taken to another nest that may have 2 about same size. They foster very well! Back to washer!!!!
Margy, lol and more lol. There really was an armed body guard disguised as a dinner guest. High risk visitor to the U.S. Snails and other unfavorite items were on the dinner table.
Shirley, not to worry. I would not have blamed you. None of the sources I looked at, including the one you sent, mentioned lady bugs eating butterfly eggs. May good weather days smile on our Megan.
Blagojevich won't be laughing now, will he??? Hope that Casey Anthony won't be soon.
Jo....did you miss the PAX cam when I posted it a couple of weeks ago? Sorry.....we've been watching it. I also shared it with Suz at the time, and with Mits and Ceil when they returned from Oregon.
Another load of laundry ready to come out of dryer....I hate folding/hanging clothes!!
Hedgie - sometimes the PAX can is not up/running. I was just alerting all that it was up so that they could log into it. I bookmarked into my favs when you gave it out the first time.
One thing I have always thought about Casey Anthony--and maybe I have missed a discussion of this somewhere, but I do not think she just suddenly started telling so many lies.
I expect that she has a history of lying and that her parents are aware of it. Wonder if they haven't covered for her in the past?
Judie was speaking of armed guests, not armored. I wasn't paying attention. Now I understand.
Not sure I could eat snails, either.
My two oldest children had a wonderful trip to France. Most of the French people were very polite. There was just one negative incident that surprised me.
When they checked into a hotel--I think in Nice--they were told that they could only have two towels for each room, even though there there were three people per room. It seems that the management was unhappy about towel thefts.
Their teacher/chaperone went into action, finding the linen room and purloining the needed towels and delivering them to the kids. Not sure what the management expected to happen.
IMHO Ms. Anthony is a classic case book example of a psychopath. I have no doubt her family is well aware of her pathological lying. I am also sure that Ms. Anthony has engaged in many behaviors, beginning in childhood, that have caused pain and suffering for others, other than her immediate family, and that her family shielded her from negative consequences. I believe she is now 25 years old.
Yes, armed not armored.
Glad there was only one unpleasant incident, Shirley.
OH MY 167 comments to read Chatty Kathy was here today I see!!!
SHIRLEY OK I can see rescuing a ladybug but a mouse NO no trap it. They are nasty!! YUK
T-BIRD I am so jealous of you see a eagles But am happy that you got the opportunity to see one
OK I'm now down to 86 to read so I'm going to take a neck break and send this on BBL LM
If you watch video I forgot to turn off camera sound so there is some noise thank goodness I didn't talk to myself or that you couldn't hear the keys clicking as I was typing the whole time also
SHIRLEY Looks like he think its all his and I like your virtual cat.
LORI I want to be able to have GRILLED CHEESE to I am so tired of that damn worm LOL
Sleep is something I am great at so problem with it at all When I use to have days off I would sleep till 10 or even later Yep I did feel guilty about it but still did it any way I love my BED I usually go to bed 11 and up at 6 BUT with our early birds I now get up at 5 I like to watch the 10 news. Although nothing has changed on it from the 5 or 6 news that I usually watch but with the trail I have been watching or listening to it every waking moment I have so much still to watch The past couple of nite its been about a little after 10 I take Tylenol PM every nite also The only way I get to sleep!I could sleep 8-9 hrs a nite but only get the 6 now No wonder I am tired and not drinking caffeine coffee also make me more tired I had bought 6 cans cheap decaf hazelnut and hate to waste it so I decided to use it instead of the HIGH TEST stuff as my DAD would call it
I just realized that my ending of the last thing I typed right in the middle of it I had hit spell check and then decided to take a break well at the end of spell check it doesn't put you back where you ended just at the end of the comment box so that explains why it is in the middle
SHIRLEY Hey you need a trail cam near your seed block That would be interesting to see who show up Just a idea.
I saw a raccoon at my garbage can this morning scared the poo out of me
KAY My SIL is a air conditioner tech he installed the thermostat for me its digital He came out and said I didn't need the batteries funny I was on the way home just a block from the house and he was leaving my house as I was turning the corner he was at the stop sign so we sat in the middle of the road and talked for a bit No traffic residential neighborhood
I don't have SISSY on FB ;-(
ROBYN so nice that someone can spend the night with TORI That is one great doctor and hospital Hope her progress keeps going great and she will be home soon.
OK stepped away and now came back to only 56 to read But got to stop again My neck is really bad today not for sure if its the weather also with Arthur taking up residence in it since surgerys
I was carrying a load of clean laundry upstairs and tripped. Probably on the bottom part of the baby gate we have there to prevent the dogs from going upstairs.
I hit the carpeted floor with my knee, so I did not think it was a big deal. Then I took a look, and there is a big lump rising on my knee, so I thought I had better tend to it.
I had put items for supper on the stove--uncooked at present. Kathryn will need to tend to that. I called her and informed her. I really wanted to have supper ready when she got home. But I think ice is necessary.
Thanks for the age info on Casey. I figured mid-twenties.
I have had plenty of experience with parents covering up for their kids when they should let them face the consequences. I really think this is an extreme case of what can happen, although if she is a psychopath, perhaps it would not have made any difference.
SHIRLEY, I thought we all agreed we will try to not do the falling thing!!! I am sorry you got hurt and I think it is wise to ice to keep the swelling down.
It is a pretty steady day today in terms of chores and errands and I took a break and went to yoga...another low 70's day and it is overcast...I expect we will get rain in a few hours.
With the Anthony case I have such sadness...that is at least two lives ruined, hers and her daughter's.
Good postings from our Detective Momster Judie.
It is so funny when I took students to the south of France we also had an issue with the number of towels per room...we were sleeping four in a room. I got extras and they charged me for them at the end of the stay!!! In China however, they do not change towels on the sleeper cars when occupants change...It was pretty difficult to find that the towels were not fit for use especially since the train ride was a 14 hour ride...I had never felt so tired in all of my life...
folding sheets is okay, if someone else is also taking two of the corners
JMHO
Hi Folks Shirley, so sorry to read you fell and hurt your knee :(
(( hugs ♥ )) for the ice, that it does the trick, but then again, hugs will melt the ice ! So (( hugs ♥ )) for you also and I hope the supper turns out ok!
♪♪♫♫♪♪♫♫Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer Those days of soda and pretzels and beer Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer ♪♫♪♫ This is for you movin the song popped in my head when I read your comment you may just stop in just once a day but you leave a big foot print See ya tomorrow
Yeah I'm at the 1:38 mark on blog I will not get a speeding ticket LOL
JudyE---Tori is 17. Shirley.....that gate sounds dangerous if it's not totally out of your way when open! ICe should only stay on for 20 mins. at a time---has the swelling gone down?
Yep, Margy, sheets are easy with help---but none here....it is what it is....
Love that song, JudyE.
Hoda...Cindy's and George's, and even son Lee's lives have all been ruined, too. Too late for them to realize that they essentially aided and abetted--unknownst to them--by enabling her for most of her life.
I never caught up this morning and ow find myself lagging behind again. Ugh.....lots going on.
First and foremost....Praise God for TORI's healing!! ROBYN, we are so thankful and happy she is recovering and improving with every day. May God continue to give you and your family strength throughout her healing process.
PAULA - My flower avatar is a pink clematis that comes up over our railing on our deck every year! It does look like a lily!
MARGY - If I don't start my day with my instruction book, I just might do things on my own....which could be a disaster!! I need HIS help!!
LYNN - Good point on letting our loved ones know about the blog so if something does happen, those near and dear to our hearts are notified. We're so close here.
LYNN - Strange that you mentioned red drops near your hummer feeder, without using food with red dye. The same exact thing happened to me yesterday and I wondered if it was blood on the railing.....
JUDY- Glad to know someone else LOVES THEIR BED!!! I do love to sleep, but I don't need any help getting or staying asleep.......most of the time. If I get a bit upset or get my mind working overtime just before bed, I might have trouble falling asleep, but otherwise sleep is no problem. Wasn't that way AT ALL in my 30's and 40's. I spent many hours in the middle of the night awake in those days!!
SHIRLEY - Is the ice helping?? So many times I trip over things when I have a handful of laundry or other things in my arms. Because of my knees these days, I am extra careful. Last year I had my laptop open in my arms and went down 4 steps from the LR to the DR to plug in my laptop to keep a video going. Well I missed the last step and took a pretty bad fall onto my knees. NOT FUN!!
KAY - Will keep your friend and son's MIL in our prayers.
I made it back just went up and picked up Sonny Baby Back Ribs Mm good sweet potato, baked beans and corn bread I am not full and will begin to read again 47 to read see ya in a bit hope by the time the eagles show up OH I know that what they are waiting for LOL later LM while reading and listening to trial
Oh I forgot to say something while it is fresh on my mind or I should say lip Odd I was just done eating my ribs and my lip felt funny being I had sticky finger went to wash and looked in the mirror at my lip and guess what it is purple in the lower corner I suppose I ravished the ribs and poked my lip and didn't know it OH MY almost looks like the purplish splotches for thin skin or soft skin like Angie says LOL ok back to reading or I will never get caught up
Report on Father Capt. Gene from the VA center: He has Ocular Shingles...eye is nearly closed shut. He was given pills to take 3 times a day and is to report baCK To VA center Friday...Not quite the diagnosis that we expected!
I was given a temporary crown, permanent one will be done in 8 weeks. So tired of appointments!! Met with GG's A/C repairman and perhaps they will begin the repairs and new unit, next week.
Every time I expand my window on the blog comment area I have to remind my self what day of the week it is It is not Sat It is Mon I am going to minimize it so I don't see the day like a usually do
Just as I suspected I get caught up and you all vanish OK LM BBL
As for Shirley's banged up knee...Shirley is no dumb retiree...she knows how to get some relief from caregiving chores. You go, girl and stay on your recliner.
Parenting alone would not have made a difference Shirley. What is known is that a child is born with a predisposition and parenting then either fosters or buffers the genetics. Ms. Anthony is an example of Antisocial Personality Disorder and, probably, a secondary personality disorder.
For Robyn: The news of Tori's improvement is wonderful. She will surely benefit from having her friends with her. May the Momster's prayers continue to help with her improvement. Thank you for taking the time to keep us informed. Love to you both♥
Jo, enjoy the family dinner. Probably over by now so hope it was yummy.
Jurors would not be punished. Perry would not allow. He is extremely sensitive to the inconvenience to jurors. Just imagine...already four weeks without family, job, t.v., computer, newspaper, and confined to a hotel room. Additionally, the longer this drags on, the more likely the jurors to become angry and that can bias a verdict.
Wanda, so sorry for Gene. Although I've had shingles, I cannot begin to identify with the ocular discomfort. Please give him a huge momster hug. I'll catch up with you tomorrow on the crown thing -- don't we wish it were a crown on our gorgeous red heads instead of in the mouth?
Correct, Shirley. Nature gives a predisposition and nurture provides environment to either act on the disorder or not. Glad you had some assistance tonight. Maybe you and George should retire to the recliner.
WOW on HLN the commentators and others think that the jury will have the case at the end of this week and the judge will probably keep court until 6 or 7 each nite
Waiting on son John to come pick me up and take me to City Hospitol to be with daughter Dawn.. she has Diverticulistis (spelling) and in alot of pain once again.. So i can drive her home... Please pray for her.. 3 minutes ago ·LikeUnlike ·

Sorry, I misspelled her name - should be KF-Judy? Kay's Friend Judy? Good thing God doesn't count spelling against me.
((BIG HIG)) Kay.
Okay, like I said, movin' on. Will go into LM so may be in and out of here every now and then.
Good morning,
No visit to the nest this morning?
Ladybugs--You do not have to say "I love ladybugs" to get tagged. My daughter Susan has a reputation for taking all kinds of little critters. Recently her boss brought her a ladybug that was sitting on his shirt because he knew she would take care of it. She gathered it up and took it outdoors and released it.
Susan has been known to do the same thing with mice. (I have a feeling that the mice come right back in the store.)
Yes, SHIRLEY, we did have a visit, a full 11 minutes of both Belle and Truder! It was gLORIous! :)
Oh, I didn't read back far enough. Will have to do that.
Forgot my manners, Good Morning Shirley!
Hi Lori!
Good Monday Morning, Peeps!!
I'm sure you have all heard about the eagle we saw at the lake this weekend.
It was great.
Morning all:)
Today's nest weather-Mostly cloudy this morning... then partly sunny with a slight chance of showers this afternoon.
I wish I could wake up with the sun like you early birds......
I'm on my first cup of coffee trying to ease the pain in my head and neck. Unfortunately that is the way I wake up most mornings. :(
I think I missed ALL of yesterday, so I have a lot of reading to do this morning!!
First I'll hit my "instruction book," then the blog!
Wow Thelma, that is so awesome you saw an eagle at the lake this weekend!!! How exciting!
Hope you had a great weekend!
Hello T-BIRD, did hear about the eagle and the whole blog is green with envy! That's so awesome. That'll be a happy memory for a long while.
Hi PA LYNN! So, you're not an early bird...what do we early birds get? WORMS! I'd much rather wake up later and have a grilled cheese! :)
LORI - You're funny☺☺
You have to work at that awful hour, but if you could get up and enjoy the quiet morning and still have time in the day to get things done, you'd agree with me, right??
Some days I feel like I don't get started until darn near noon!! That's terrible!!
I'm also not one to stay up real late and get things done either!!
Once 10pm hits, I'm usually wanting to head upstairs to get ready for bed!!
Ladybugs eat monarch eggs. Hmm, had not thought of that. Judie--don't get any ladybugs!!
Hope Gene is okay.
Wanda, best wishes for your visit to the dentist.
Those squirrels may take that block down to nothing. They are ravenous in our back yard, Shirley!!
I'm off to get some things done before my afternoon CPE courses today!! Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!! ♥♥♥
Good Morning Hoda, Lori, Diann, Margy, JudyE, DanaMo, Kay, Shiley, PA Linda, Thelma, Megan, Wanda, and Lurkers.
Diann seen you finally made that
early time with the earlybirds (:
WOW what a group already in here.
I seem comments where Truder and Belle have already been in also.
Will have to read comments later. Hope when I do read I find everyone doing ok. Busy doing
something at the moment.
Good Morning - raining a bit in my backyard. Pray all is well today for all
Shirley the seed block is a great idea
The squirrels planted my sunflowers for
me - 6 sturdy plants!
I am an 8 hr sleeper but with a nap in the afternoon! Not a good practice but
I need to listen to my body!
Hi Jo and everyone else
Jo:
Kay or maybe Lori her twin had a question about hour six hearts
Wanda
You are probably already out the door...
Healing prayers for Gene and the something-bite
good luck at the dentist
and this seems like it could be a pretty good day for planting
Good Morning Eagle ♂ and ♀'s
Listening to your body is a good practice, Jo.
I did read back and found the account of the visit by Belle and Truder to the nest this morning.
Speaking of sleep. I am beginning to wonder when some of us sleep--Lori, for example.
and I'm already making typos
"hour" = "your" Jo
Kay
am adding yor friend Judy, your son Lee's mother-in-law, to my prayers...for wellness from the Leukemia (( hugs ♥ ))
I would not mind sunflowers in my yard, Jo. Just hope that they get planted in good spots.
Shirley
your pictures have always been wonderful, and I am going to visit your new ones NOW
good to see that Megan
stopped in...
with some aditional advice for Judie on aphids
Kay
just say in front of your gift-giving friends:
I Love Eagles
tender remarks about your Susan,

Read what you said about starting your day with the Bible...
a Blessed way to get the day going
about to tackle my to-do list
Hope everyone has a good day

forever to disappear. Glad the Capt Gene

Thank You Jo, as always!
On the July Listing...

Will download my cabinet pics from FB and put on my blog...Thanks, Wanda, saw you shared them as well. Hope Father Gene is OK
PA Linda, love the flowers in your pic...are those lilies? Mine just started blooming
Morning, all!
Kitchen pics on my blog.
OH, and I'll be able to take some pics of Nick with my phone!
Oh, Paula, you are going to enjoy that beautiful kitchen.
Awesome Paula !
and oh yeah, glad you will be able to get pictures of Nick on Thursday !!
I think you will find the ride to Capon Bridge, to be a pretty one
xo
cabinets look identical to the ones I have here !
Now I would like to have the blue (or gray?) countertop and the stainless steel sink also
LOL - Dana WV pointed out she could see your Eagle Mug!
And that Eagle [Biker Week]...backpack?
Nice !
Have a good day....you deserve it !!!
Hmmm, that regrigerator looks ripe for magnets !!!
Margy, the countertops are a blue/gray/black/white mix...but main color is blue. Those are in stock cabinets from Lowe's!
OH, that bike week T-shirt is on John!
Home for lunch I see no new thread to click on to
KAY I love your lady bug story thats how my eagle and Nascar collection got so BIG
I only have 67 emails to read so let get to reading then before I go back to work
HMM I have to call or text my son-in-law my digital thermostat says to replace battery I didn't know it had batteries HMMM
Too Funny Paula!
I never realized that was a handome fellow inside that Red thing that I thought was a back pack!!
ROFL
Hi JudyE
Hi Kay !
SIL just text ed me back he will stop by while I'm at work to check the thermostat want new batteries
just checked the injured tree....BIG scrape on the inner skin of the tree...where the bark has been torn off, and
loose bark as well....
have to see what can be done on that....
and try to ID it as well
OH CRAP the heavens just opened up again and here comes the rain and wind
I'm interested in seeing how long the block will last. It is certainly getting eaten.
Back to work You watch a new Thread will be after I leave its always they way it goes And I have to leave in the deluge of rain and storms YUK
I posted picture of the retention pond on my beach and nature blog
SWOLLEN RETENTION POND
there are three picture the last one was just taken at lunch and the others at lunch yesterday thank goodness it drain with more comin now BBL
Lynn, Sissy posted a couple of eagle pics on FB
tree is some sort of ash but not sure which
checked with City Police, tree damage probably not on their report for insurance
called Landlord, left message...
so, wait and see it is
it's a big tree, on corner of property
provides good shade but more dear, privacy from across the streeters
aphids have really done a nasty chewing job on many of my tomnato blooms!
I am zapping them when I see new ones
think I might have overdone treatment on some of the leaves,
they are looking shaggy and yellowed
going shopping for ladybugs after some housework which has to come first
Hi Lynn and Liesl
Remains cloudy and cool here...only 70° so far. A few sprinkles off an on last night, but nothing yet today.
Good Morning Mema Jo, Paula, and Hedgie-Lynn and
Liesl (tummy rub please) ( :
Kay I will add your son Lee's
MIL Judy to my prayer list.
Hugs to you and Lee & wife.
I will have to check out Shirley's
pictures.
Hoping our Dadster Gene is going
to be ok.
Paula I think I have your countertop in my kitchen. Yep got it from Lowes. I really liked it, of course I love yours too lol
Yes please put on your blog pictures of Nick and have Lynn take a couple of you and Nick..I'll be watching. I am so excited for you and Nick. ♥
Have always been pretty much a night person myself, Lynn.
Hello momsters and dadsters,
I first want to say thank you for all your prayers, it sure seemed to work.
Not to worry, Paula....I'll bring my camera and take pics of you and Nick!!!!
The eagle was in a tree right on the water and we were sitting right in front of it. Watched it fly off to the right and circle back around and into the woods. Kelsey's mom got some pics in flight so I am waiting on Andrew to send them to me.
LOL, Paula....yep, I saw those pics...even commented. Duh---brain still not in gear....need food!!
Thanks for updating us Robyn. Good news!
Yes, I would think having friends sleep over is a good plan. Nice that the hospital will allow that.
Prayers continue.
Robyn so wonderful to hear this news about Tori. Prayer is wonderful. I will continue to keep Tori in my prayers you and Bobbi too. Thank you God and continue to bring Tori through this. Oh her friends spending the night certainly should raise Tori's spirits. lol
Thanks, Lynn! Camera is definitely needed! I keep mine on top on the buffet, and packed it all up, but forgot to set it by the door!
Sharon and Paula I would love to see some soaring eagles. Oh my would that "lift my spirits"!!!!
ROBYN, the news about the way Tori is responding to the care given at Children's is, to say the least, thrilling ! It's wonderful that she can even have friends stay over ! She's a trooper ! Our prayers will continue, of course.
Miraculous news about Tori! I think we
were able to do it again with prayers.
Robyn it really is so uplifting for all of us and to you especially. Great doc to suggest such a good thing as having
a best friend overnight! Hope they like hospital nightly snacks.
Know that you are very relieved, Robyn. It is so hard to have your child hospitalized at any time, even worse when it is so serious. God bless you, Tori, and her father.
Having friends over sounds like the best medicine possible.
In celbration and with gratitude to Robyn for Tori news. I sing praises.
Good morning...
Lynn I think you are thinking the
same as I am concerning Momsters Deb and Donna. I really have not way of
updating who to take off of our list
unless I go ahead and email them first or when someone notifies me.....
I'll try to find out more before
publishes the list on the email from
Momsters.
Howdy, Hoda!!!! Speaking of Howdy---have you ever been to Calgary for the great rodeo stuff??
Howdy Hoda! How about that - we are both on here at the same time!
My typing leaves something to be
desired. I know all of you know what I
am saying even though it's not the word
you are reading. lol
Sharon is getting her 'Iron Infusion'
today! I need to convince her to eat
liver & onions!
ROFLMBO Lynn we both addressed
Hoda with our Howdy!
Anyone know what hummer poopshoots look like? 3 wet spots on deck carpet very near feeder with red stuff in it! My nectar is colorless.
JO and LYNN, Howdy y'all!!!LOL
It is funny I have been to Calgary several times and yet never to the rodeo...I have been there when the rodeo was on and the whole city takes on the cowboy characteristics...themes in stores and restaurants and cafés and so on...I attended Rodeo and the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma but not the one in Calgary.

ANOTHER GOOD
MORNING TO YOU
ALL ON THIS BLOG
PAGE.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Good and warm, if hazy, day again in So Cal.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Hi, Everyone,
Have tried to catch up on the blog this morning.
Check it out...two out of 3 of our Californian's posted together!!!
Good your morning/our afternoon to you both, Jim and Andy!
Andy good to hear from you this day. I have to find out who Keith is that needs prayer.
Nice information for Margy's tree. Just maybe it can be saved...I hope.
I'll be in LM have things to do.
Taking a break
BBILW
My delete, more typos. I must need a nap and a fig newton. I meant, such dire medical problems Affect mates....
My nerves are jangled. For several hours there have been horrendous noises emanating from our basement. Jack hammers, drills... There is a water leak under cement so a hole is being drilled in the flooring. The sounds reverberate thoughout the building making it sound as if they are coming right through your own walls. Poor neighbor Puggle, Kobe, can't figure out what's wrong ! If I'd known what was up I would have left for the day !
Osprey Nest down at Loretta's Patuxant
Hi everyone.
Yea, right!
Hi again.
Loretta's nest is full of lively ospreys. What is with the head movement thing?
Megan, thank you for the information. I love lady bugs and did not realize they would eat butterfly eggs. Glad I got too busy to get to the garden center. I will check daily and spray as needed. Again, thank you.
Glad you got that info, Judie. Would hate to have had you go to all of that trouble and then have ladybugs eat your little butterfly eggs. I would have felt awful.
Mema Jo, you will NEVER convince me to eat liver and onions!
I don't think Sharon will be eating liver and onions, Jo.
I'll take her share
as long as someone else would cook it for me
xo
been avoiding making this post but I know Captain Father Gene would appreciate it:
nothing quite like fresh venison liver, and onions
especially if cooked at the campsite
doubt if I will get many takers on THAT !
time to head to the garden store to see if they have ladybugs
don't have any buttefly eggs to worry about :(
Awful motel fire in Kissimmee, FL this morning.....sounds like it was a tenant motel.....huge from the pics....so far no deaths.
Kay
sounds, very noisy and irritating, kind of like it is here when bowling balls sound from the floor above
or people arguing in the parking lot and crashing into trees at 5 o'clock in the morning
Thanks Andy for the info about tree paint:
have to wait for call back from landlord in case they want to pursue an insurance claim
and sorry about no contact back on the transcription job...
yes, you have have the right idea,
that was a sign
there must be something better waiting on you !
xo ttfn Eagle Pals xo
BBL
Judie:
I don't think you have missed your calling, but maybe missed out on cashing in on it $$$
Love your reference to snails as a meal as an "armored body guard disguised as a dinner guest"
You certainly keep the endorphins flowing on here !!!
okay, bye
understand Shirley
I have a few kind friends that have kept me well-supplied with wild game for several years now
sure has saved me some money, and been some goooooood eating
I hope the tree assault and battery issue can be worked out soon, Margy.
Hotel fire in Florida sounds terrible, Lynn.
Rob Blagojevich has just been found guilty on 17 counts.
And I confess that I copied and pasted that name--Blagojevich. It is not one that I usually have to spell.
Yes, it was side-to-side head bobbing. It did look like they were watching something. It was interesting to see them doing it in unison.
I need to tear myself away from this blog for awhile and do a few chores.
I'm with you , Sharon! Onions yes. Liver NEVER!!!!
Back to the trial.
Good news about Blagojevich. JMHO
Easier to fold than iron.
Hedgie - sometimes the PAX can is not
up/running. I was just alerting all that it was up so that they could log
into it.
I bookmarked into my favs when you
gave it out the first time.
I agree on Blagojevich, Judie.
One thing I have always thought about Casey Anthony--and maybe I have missed a discussion of this somewhere, but I do not think she just suddenly started telling so many lies.
I expect that she has a history of lying and that her parents are aware of it. Wonder if they haven't covered for her in the past?
How old is Casey Anthony?
Yum, escargot
Shirley, Casey is now 25. 19 when Caylee was born. Oh, yeah, I don't you can believe a word that comes out of her mouth.....
Okay, Jo---glad you didn't miss watching the cam!!!
That should be don't think you can believe.....
I agree with Judie's assessment.
BBL LM still have 86 to read
Having family for dinner at 6:00
Will BBL
Fell and banged up my knee, so I am resting on the recliner with an ice bag. Geesh.
Interesting witness on the stand. Sleazy private investigator. Watching him trying to squirm out of the mess.
SHIRLEY.....WHAT are you trying to do to yourself????? HOW did you fall?? Are you okay???
He's a worthless witness...what a jerk.
Shirley - did you trip over one of your 4 footed critters~
SHIRLEY Hey you need a trail cam near your seed block That would be interesting to see who show up Just a idea.
I saw a raccoon at my garbage can this morning scared the poo out of me
KAY My SIL is a air conditioner tech he installed the thermostat for me its digital He came out and said I didn't need the batteries funny I was on the way home just a block from the house and he was leaving my house as I was turning the corner he was at the stop sign so we sat in the middle of the road and talked for a bit No traffic residential neighborhood
I don't have SISSY on FB ;-(
ROBYN so nice that someone can spend the night with TORI That is one great doctor and hospital
Hope her progress keeps going great and she will be home soon.
OK stepped away and now came back to only 56 to read But got to stop again My neck is really bad today not for sure if its the weather also with Arthur taking up residence in it since surgerys
I forgot to ask How old is Tori I had asked in the past and don't remember if I got a answer
Sissy is aka Beverly Riffe
Tori had just turned 16 (I think)
I was carrying a load of clean laundry upstairs and tripped. Probably on the bottom part of the baby gate we have there to prevent the dogs from going upstairs.
I hit the carpeted floor with my knee, so I did not think it was a big deal. Then I took a look, and there is a big lump rising on my knee, so I thought I had better tend to it.
I had put items for supper on the stove--uncooked at present. Kathryn will need to tend to that. I called her and informed her. I really wanted to have supper ready when she got home. But I think ice is necessary.
My neck issues is all contributed to
Arthur, Judy! I'd like to tell him where to go!
Time to turn on the stove's burners and get this meal underway
BBL
Yes, Shirley - Ice is necessary..
Thanks for the age info on Casey. I figured mid-twenties.
I have had plenty of experience with parents covering up for their kids when they should let them face the consequences. I really think this is an extreme case of what can happen, although if she is a psychopath, perhaps it would not have made any difference.
Glad I did not fall over one of the four-footed family members. Hate to think what might have happened if I had fallen on one of our pets.
Laundry done, except for sheets in dryer---where they can stay for awhile!!! HATE folding sheets the worst of all!
Sheets should be okay in the dryer for awhile.
JMHO
Hi Folks
Shirley, so sorry to read you fell and hurt your knee :(
(( hugs ♥ )) for the ice, that it does the trick, but then again, hugs will melt the ice !
So (( hugs ♥ )) for you also
and I hope the supper turns out ok!
Truly beautiful and encouraging post from Robyn earlier regarding Tori

Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer ♪♫♪♫ This is for you movin the song popped in my head when I read your comment you may just stop in just once a day but you leave a big foot print See ya tomorrow
Gonna step out to eat No eagles till I get back Ya Hear!!! With only 40 more to read plus what ya all do while I'm gone
Yep, Margy, sheets are easy with help---but none here....it is what it is....
Love that song, JudyE.
Hoda...Cindy's and George's, and even son Lee's lives have all been ruined, too. Too late for them to realize that they essentially aided and abetted--unknownst to them--by enabling her for most of her life.
you and I should work out a plan for Sheetz-washing day Lynn
Maybe Judie has an idea ☺
Howdy HODA and the rest of my Eagle Buds!!
Any word on GENE yet?
Wonder how much longer they are going to be in court today?? Poor jury!
Yeah really, Lynn! Just turned it on and see that it is really dragging it out.
Maybe the Judge is making them pay for the delay on Saturday!
I think I will go and find my husband so we're not eating after dark!!
Sometimes he gets busy outside in the summer and it makes for a very late dinner.
Off to finish cooking dinner.
BBL
I made it back just went up and picked up Sonny Baby Back Ribs Mm good sweet potato, baked beans and corn bread I am not full and will begin to read again 47 to read see ya in a bit hope by the time the eagles show up OH I know that what they are waiting for LOL later LM while reading and listening to trial
777 was the comment I likie that number
SHIRLEY I hope your bang up knee feels better ice and elevate as we all agree on
I got caught up on all the comments so the eagles can now show up LOL We would s--t a brick if they did LOL
Love to you both♥
Finished supper and got the dishwasher loaded. I managed to get up and do some things with Kathryn's help. And Hunter did a bit as well.
Took some insed pain pills. That is what Kathryn recommends for swelling.
So it is more nature than nurture, Judie? I was looking that up awhile ago, but didn't have time to do in-depth reading.
It does not sound like Ms. Anthony should be let loose on society.
The article I was reading was on Gary Gilmore. Too bad he got turned loose on society.
I will restate that: Ms. Anthony should not be turned loose on society.
Well, now we are settled down to watch a search for Bigfoot in North Carolina. Yikes! My home state.
SHEETZ? Did someone mention SHEETZ? I know I heard SHEETZ.
I think the ice is helping. I am glad I landed on a carpeted floor.
Am in the recliner as I write.
Let's just hope Hunter doesn't have nightmares about Bigfoot.
WOW on HLN the commentators and others think that the jury will have the case at the end of this week and the judge will probably keep court until 6 or 7 each nite
Judge Perry is trying to wind things up. I would not want to be sequestered for this long, that is for sure.
Don't try to fold Sheetz, Judie!
Did you all think she acted to giddy today in trail almost flirtatious Just odd
quadruple SPLIT is upon us !
Wow Nancy Grace is tearing her apart right now
This is from Nilla on facebook just a few min ago
