Oh Wanda.... I am so sorry...this could be very uncomfortable for Gene......

but you will be just as beautiful to him through his fully open eye and partly closed shut one

Please tell him, that I hope he gets relief quickly with the medication...which he MUST take as prescribed

xoxoxox ♥ to you both

magpie said...

oh dear, that is serious too, about Nilla's Dawn...uncomfortable and miserable...
thank you for the difficult news, JudyE, and yes

two more on the prayer list tonight to add to the ones already mentioned earlier today

Check this out was on facebook so cute

magpie said...

but she gets to come home?
Sometimes...it means having to stay

Nurse Lynn will have some things to say about both of these ailments, Gene's, and Dawn's

magpie said...

Lynn
the way things are, especially with Carolyn working at same place as I...
you would probably be the one to get the alerts out on ME but I will get with my sister, Roanoke Mary on this also
what you mentioned, about someone being able to communicate with the rest of us
She knows about my Blog Family ♥

I posted on her post Momster and Dadster Prayers and (((Hugs)))

vacuum cleaner broke, belt, could still use the hand attachments

"him" brought dinner down in the middle of all that, (pork rib, corn on the cob, and potato salad)
and then showed up with a vacuum I could borrow
but I had already used the hand attachments and the Stick Vac
that's enuf clearing for tonight

magpie said...

cleaning not clearing

magpie said...

Like what you said, PA Linda...about the Instruction Book!
Yes indeedy, good to be reminded about the way things should start out on a daily basis

magpie said...

garden store did not have ladybugs but they did fix me up with an organic spray....
which I think might work better than my concoction
they also said the Ash tree would probably survive the skinning okay, but if it starts ooozing sap, then to take some action
Boltz's Hardware for those here in the area

magpie said...

Wild Orange Butterfly Weed is out in droves hereabouts!

Looking forward to Lynne2's wildflower report and pictures !

Pink bachelor's buttons are out too, so pretty and delicate

magpie said...

Thank you JudyE !

hedgie said...

JudyE---she has been flirtatious and giddy all along. Nature vs. nurture has always been a dilemma....the fact remains that there ARE bad seeds......and she IS one! Remember that there were also implications that she was planning on killing Cindy and George based on things she had told a girlfriend??

Oh, Wanda...poor Gene...that can be very serious. Sure glad they caught it and started treatment right away! Check your email, please!

Linda, I have had VERY LITTLE trouble falling asleep since I retired! Shirley will probably know that feeling soon!!

Shirley, NSAIDS reduce the swelling by reducing inflammation.....if it doesn't go down, you may have fluid! So don't ignore it!

magpie said...

can't stay for the nest viewing tonight and maybe not in the morning either....
can't have coffee! Not sure I should get up that early
Well, I can have Decaf...
like I said, not sure I should get up that early !

will be back in a little while, more things to do here

stronghunter said...

Can't really watch the trial in the evenings. Time for family tv. Hunter has seen some parts of the trial, but I am not really comfortable with him watching it.

stronghunter said...

So it's NSAIDS, not whatever I typed. And I even looked it up.

hedgie said...

Linda, I hope we don't have sick hummers! Never saw anything like it before. No red flowers here for them to feed on---but could be getting red at a neighbor's, I guess.

stronghunter said...

Nancy is probably a bit much for Hunter. He is having trouble understanding how a mother could kill her child.

He is convinced that Casey Anthony is innocent just because a mother could not kill her child. I am simply not ready to see that innocence destroyed.

Hunter may be a rough, tough football player, but I happen to know that he still sleeps with a Teddy bear.

JudyEddy said...

Ahhh So Sweet let him be a little boy but don't tell him we know I know its hard to believe that there are monster out there so sad the world we live in my MOM truly believed for every birth there must be a death for that is how our soul live on in others and sometime there just isn't enough people dying like years ago and kids are born with out souls and are just bad so sad to think about it but I do believe that also because of my MOM

hedgie said...

Margy, PSST....shhhh..if we are going to fold sheetz, I really think we should include that Judie person!!

hedgie said...

Too bad about Nilla's daughter. Diverticulitis is a nasty condition. Hope she gets good relief. Hard to avoid many of the aggravating foods. ANYTHING with seeds is verboten!

hedgie said...

Okay...soap box time....sorry! Used to love Boltz's. BUT....won't go there anymore. After they changed ownership they treated a long-time employee (25 yrs.+) very shabbily and basically ended up contributing to his premature death.

hedgie said...

Shirley...yes, it's an acronym for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs!

hedgie said...

Margy, "him" is looking after you!!
Sounds like a nice guy!

JudyEddy said...

What is Boltz???

JudyEddy said...

Color leaving from our nest LIGHT ON

Hoda said...

MARGY, since Lynn brought it up, I think "him" is pretty OK...Now should we give him a name or are you going to tell us his name? It seems to me he is trying very hard. Meals delivered on a regular basis, need I say more???Give us a name...

JudyEddy said...

I think the light came on prematurely it was still green Looks like no eagles so sad

Judy E Boltz is a hardware store from what I can figure. Margy went there today and she got very good service, but apparently the change of ownership caused stress to an old staff member {25yrs +} and he died...

Wanda prayrer for Gene having Ocular Shingles.
Give him a Hug. So sorry for him. Prayers for healing.

Thanks Kay now I can put Keith into prayer.

Shirley sorry about your knee. Yes ice and the recliner.

I heading for the shower !!!

wvgal_dana said...

Judie good luck tomorrow for broken cap replaced.

My Fireball Red Hibiscus has many buds on it. Today one fully opened and God let me see it.
Showed it to next door neighbor. She said she never seen a flower that BIG lol
It is BIG and BEAUTIFUL...first picture with new camera.

Could be the hummingbirds ate at someone's feeder that is using red mix or red food coloring. Then
it gets to your place and does the poop shoot.

Now shower time....

Linda said...

Yes MARGY - I feel blessed to have the time most mornings to start my day in the Word.

Lynn - My Hummers are circulating around the house drinking from all the feeders, so I am guessing they are ok.

We had a female rose breasted grossbeak crash into the front window. Poor thing didn't make it. Of course it happens, but we never get used to it and those birds are dear to my heart!

wvgal_dana said...

Good night dear friends.

Prayers for all that need them. Lord including those I may have missed but you know of them. Prayers also Lord for your animals that you have given us to care for.

Amen

Linda said...

Oh WANDA - So sorry to hear about Gene having ocular shingles. How awful that must be.

Is it painful for him? Please let him know he is on our prayer list and I will say special prayers for quick healing for him.

Same goes for Nilla's daughter Dawn. That is a tough one to deal with and one that will be a life long thing to deal with as I understand.

Linda said...

Good Night JudyE!

Good Night WV Dana. Sweet Dreams!!

Judie said...

I am NOT going to try to fold SHEETZ. I AM about to slide between the sheets.

Hi to Janet (Nilla). Wishing quick relief for Dawn.

Wanda, Margy has a good perspective on Gene's ailment. You will be beautiful to him regardless and he won't notice Blond roots.lol Hugs and love to you both. Oh, Darth says if Gene has trouble seeing how to take care of you, he is first in the volunteer line.

Um, Margy? Don't know 'bout WV friendships but a "him" bringing food twice in a week AND a vacuum? Well dang, I just want to make a real good story out of that! I think "him" is called "sweetie" as in sweet on Margy.

I heard SHEETZ again. I know you all are talking about SHEETZ when I'm not here. Well, SHEETZ!

magpie said...

Him's name is Tom...
the first promised tomato could be in jeopardy with the aphid problem, hope there will be at least one to give him

Lynn, might have know but had forgotten about a problem with Boltz's -
very nice young man working there, biology major at Shepherd...lives on the Other side of the Swinging Bridge....
but I can do my shopping somewhere else
I try to get most of my plants from Megan or another vendor at Market

Judie said...

Ooooh! Tom Sweetie.

magpie said...

Now, if he would offer to USE that vaccuum cleaner, I might have other thoughts on all this
and then again, also someone to hold those two other corners of the sheetz...
I better get outta here

Judie said...

Ooooh! Oooooh! Margy and an older man named Tom Sweetie!

stronghunter said...

Thoughts for Gene and the ocular shingles. He thought it was a bite of some kind? Was his eye swollen? I hope he heals quickly.

hedgie said...

JudyE---Boltz is a local hardware store that's been around forever!

Margy, Tom will understand if the tomato doesn't mature. There will be plenty at market to share!

Judie, may be the sheetz be with you!

Goodnight to all turning in!

Danawv---did you get a new camera???? Did you win the amazon contest??

stronghunter said...

Six months older sounds perfect, Margy.

Mema Jo said...

Margy - Him is ok but it would have made him Great had he offered to do
the vacuuming for you! Ya know! ♥

stronghunter said...

Really have to go computer shopping now. The school people are bugging me because I still have their computer.

I do need to get my stuff off this one and then clean the info off the disk. I will probably need help from my computer-savvy sons.

I was asked what day THIS WEEK would I be bringing the computer in.

Judie said...

Not going down the Tom Sweetie holding the Sheetz for Margie road.

Speaking of sheetz, headed that way now.

The night light is on for those headed back the hallway, up the stairs, to the tub, to the recliner, using ice packs, or stumbling in from the West Coast. Restful sleep for all.

Mema Jo said...

Gene - I am so thankful that he went to get checked out! Painful - oh yes!
Wanda you are going to have to have a
very tender touch.

Nilla, once again to the rescue! Dawn is
very lucky to have her.

stronghunter said...

Hmm, I hope I don't have big foot nightmares.

Hoda said...

MARGY watch out, that JUDIE is starting roumors again...Tom Sweetie an older man interest of Margy and all that...LOL I do like the name TOM SWEETIE, he is a sweetie indeed for bringing supper and being so helpful. I understand he helped you fold SHEETZ....hmmmmm...LOL

Linda said...

Lynn - I'm looking back on posts trying to catch up and see your question on my chores Saturday.

Hubby is great at the "macro" cleaning. I'm the "micro" cleaner!! He does most of the vacuuming for me, which is a huge help, puts the sheets out on the line and helps a whole lot with cooking and dishes.

I do the laundry, the dusting, bathrooms, windows and all the other stuff. He'll even do the outside of the windowsif I ask him to! He's definitely a keeper!

stronghunter said...

Definitely a keeper, Linda!

stronghunter said...

Now I am watching Nancy Grace. I have sent Hunter up to bed.

stronghunter said...

Oh, how exciting, Paula.

Linda said...

I'm still catching up and have made it to Sunday morning's posts and.............

SHIRLEY - I am cracking up at your posts about breakfast Sunday morning and wondering if somehow letting Hunter have pickles for breakfast would constitute some form of child abuse!!!

Too funny!

hedgie said...

DId you record NG, Shirley? I forgot---have to wait for 1am...hate that it no longer repeats at 10.

stronghunter said...

No, I did not record anything. I was watching HLN. It is on right now.

hedgie said...

Time for ice cream here!

stronghunter said...

I should say I am watching HLN.

Hoda
watching the Kootenay Osprey nest
found this very interesting about that cam:
"The camera was installed in early April of 2011, prior to the ospreys’ return. The design allows the camera to be swung down on an arm to enable easier cleaning. Being so close to the nest means the camera lens can come under direct fire, mostly from flying remnants of fish! "

Neat !
Adult on the chicks now, and cheeping loudly !

Hoda said...

It is wonderful Paula that you went shopping for dog food and toys. Is Nick going to come home with you and Lynn on Thursday?

Wanda I send prayers for Gene's healing and strength to go through this eye situation.

COOL that MARGY and JO agreed on what would make Tom Sweetie even sweeter...Inside Track: use the Vacuum Tom, no good to just loan it...LOL

All the Ice Cream Talk almost sent me shopping for ice cream...oh YUM ...My American Dad used to have a bowl of ice cream always before he went to bed or when he woke up in the middle of the night.

I have been very fortunate with my life Paula and Blessed to have had the opportunities to travel.

I wrote this morning about going to the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mom and Dad bought me Cowboy boots and a cowboy hat from there. I was so very proud to have them that when I flew back to Cairo after my AFS year and after the 1967 war I wore them both as I got on and off the plane. They were so worried about it and wanted to ship them to me and I would not hear of it...A few of the Police and the customs officail turned their heads but my family greeted me with hugs...

magpie said...

would that be another term for Poop Shoot:
"flying remnants of fish"

Hoda said...

I thought the same thing Margy about the Osprey Cam quote...the road under the cam is part of the Wild Life sanctuary and I have been on it...

Mema Jo said...

Last day of June and Nick will come to

Hoda said...

Hi Pa Nan how was your day?

Kay said...

Hello night owls ! Here for prayer request collection and have added those that are new today. Guess we'll never whittle the list down, but that is life.

WANDA, I feel so much empathy for Gene ! About a month after Stan died I got Shingles, completely surrounding the left eye and across the brow on the right. My primary doc was alarmed and sent me straight to an Opthalmolgist to be sure the eyes were okay and to get instructions for care. A very serious problem if it's in the eye. Be sure he follows doctors orders to the letter.

JUDIE, let's see if I've got this straight, you're sayin' Ms. Anthony is a nut case, right ?

GALS, who has she been flirting with ? Every time I see her she's glowering.

MARGY, I like "him" ! The world needs more of his ilk. By the way, the tomato on the vine is not the tomato he's interested in ! Isn't Tom short for tomato ? You two were meant for each other !

Time to head for the bed. HAGN !!!

Hi Hoda; Hi Margy.

The day was so-so. Forgot about ISS flyover tonight until it was too late. Haven't seen it for a while and now that the tree is trimmed it should be easier to see.

Hoda, would you please send the link to your osprey nest cam? I have it on my netbook but not on this computer. Thank you.

Hoda, bet you were the cutest Egyptian cowgirl your family ever saw!!!! Have any pics??

Liesl is sleeping soundly. News is almost over. Listening to my kid on the scanner. Need to get to tub so I can talk to her when she gets off at MN. Early AM ahead for me. Have a drs. apptmt. at 1 tomorrow---stupid Medicare demands that I see dr. to be re-assessed for O2 need. Duh---like I would have gotten any better? That's the stupid gov't. for you.

Goodnight dear friends. Peaceful sleep, and prayers for all.

Hoda said...

I do have a picture in photo albums in boxes in this little flat. Not easily accessible.

I too would like to meet Geula. It would be perfect to chat on this blog as there is so much compassion, peace, and understanding with good humour amongst us. In Alberta I sometimes joined the Women In Black where we stood in silence with our placards for peace in the Middle East. It was a group of Jewish and Moslem women all seeing the importance to go beyond war and that peace works only if it is given a chance. I send her a SHALOM from here and maybe soon she will join us.

PA Nana said...

Guess, I'll close for tonight too.
Prayers for all of today's requests and those on our list.

I'd like to add prayers for a family that just lost the wife and mother. They're members of our church and very active locally.
Thanks.

Goodnight friends. The last one out please lock the door. ♥♥♥

Hoda, if it's a fit, which I can't think of why it wouldn't be, I can bring Nick home on Thursday!

Was trying to find out about fireworks for this weekend...Michael and Laura coming down for the weekend..plan on having some fun, and getting some fun stuff done!

Ms Bookworm said...

Good Evening, Everyone!

Dropping in to say goodnight. Golly, I see there are more folks that need to go on the prayer list!
SHIRLEY, so sorry about your knee! Sure sounds familiar to me and Hubby. His knee is much, much better, BTW.
Prayer that yours will improve quickly.

Prayers for Capt. Gene, too--shingles is NOT fun, and can't imagine how painful ocular shingles must be! His situation sounds familiar to me, too. When I had shingles, I thought at first that a spider had bitten me!

Prayers for Nilla's daughter Dawn. Diverticulitis is painful, too. Hope she improves quickly.

Margy, sounds like you have a very good neighbor, indeed!

paula eagleholic said...

Oh Yes, Margy's friendly neighbor ☺

Hoda said...

Paula, so glad that things look like they will work for you to come home with Nick on Thursday...I might just have to buy some ice cream to celebrate...

Ms Bookworm said...

Paula, I'm getting excited for you! Bet you can hardly wait to meet Nick on Thursday!

Well, getting kinda tired. Think I'll call it a day. Prayers for everyone on the prayer list, and for those who aren't. Prayers, too, for all creatures. Checking the porch light to be sure it's on. Enabling both security systems. Sweet dreams, everyone. Will talk to you tomorrow.
God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]

Hoda said...

I think I will sign off now and do some reading and writing and call it a day. It was good for me to visit with you all today and God's Blessings come your way...

Costume Lady said...

HODA, what a WONDERFUL idea: buy some ice cream to celebrate when Paula brings Nick home;) I saw and advertisement for Blue Bunny ice cream and thought I'd get some the next time I splurge (can't remember what was in it, now?)

Gene's eye looks a little better now and he is not having very much discomfort, yet.

Didn't get GG's flowers planted...I was in the dentist chair for nearly two hours and had to fix her some supper. So, by the time vooking was done, it was too late and too tired to do flowers:(

Here I am, up late again, and Soup Kitchen is tomorrow. Need lots of rest to handle all that.

GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS

PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS FOR ALL♥

Lori O. said...

Good Morning Momsters!

I hope we get another visit from both Belle and Truder today. That was so great yesterday!

WANDA - How's Father Capt. Gene feeling? And your tooth? Did GG already get her A/C. The in window A/C sounds like a good solution for now. Some of them are huge!

Thanks WANDA for putting PAULA's cabinets on your blog. It's like having our own version of HOUSE BEAUTIFUL or Better Homes & Gardens! I will look when I'm done here.

JUDIE - thanks for the info on your book. I've always loved true crime stories. One fave is Darcy OBrien's "Hillside Strangler: Two of a kind," which they titled like that because at first they thought there was just one strangler. Ugh. I lived in LA at that time. Nightstalker, too.

KAY - My heart aches for your friend KF-Judie and her family, especially her husband. So many of us know that it's very tough to watch a loved one go through a life threatening condition. Prayers for KF-Judie, her husband Keith, and your son Lee and his family. ((BIG HUG))

Lori O. said...

Interesting to see that our little MARGY has a b-day coming up on 7/1. Hmmmm.

Thanks to everyone who commented and clarified about some of the names on the birthday list.

JUDYE - I pray Dawn is sent home from the hospital in less pain. I understand it's a tightrope managing the condition. Hope we see you this morning, but get some rest first.

Casey Anthony? Definitely a Sociopath!
Pathological liar with a flagrant disregard for the law and others who get in the way of what she wants...and there's not a thing you can do to help them. They don't think they need help and Dr's refuse to treat them because they lie their way through therapy. Very sad for everyone.

HiHo HiHo, IOTWIG... and it's only Tuesday. I know I've missed to many things this morning -- my apologies. You are all very important to me! ♥

Lori O. said...

Hello Early Birders...the SSCC is open and awaiting you!

Waiting on son John to come pick me up and take me to City Hospitol to be with daughter Dawn.. she has Diverticulistis (spelling) and in alot of pain once again.. So i can drive her home... Please pray for her

Lori O. said...

Oh, I'm sorry. I see now where I got confused! Thanks for the sort-out KAY!

Kay said...

Looks like we're alone LORI. I'm planning on a great day as Seth and Malcolm will be here for lunch at 1 and to spend the rest of the day. Seth started his computer job yestderday---had jitters ahead of time, but called in the afternoon with nothing but joy in his voice ! Yeah ! He'll be working from 8:30 to 12:30, Mon.-Fri, for the next six weeks. He said, "can't wait to go return tomorrow. I really like it !"

JudyEddy said...

I had to sign back in with google with that comment I wonder how we get signed out when I never do DARN BLOGGER GOOGLE COP

Lori O. said...

Thanks JUDYE. My apologies for getting things all twisted.

JudyEddy said...

On facebook this was from PAMMY SUE

Pam Haines
It has been a crappy couple of days. My friend Sandy Showalter- Keller just found out she has lymphoma, my Grandma is in the hospital, and Buddy the cat has diabetes.
Grandma was SO confused today. She doesn't know where she is or how she got there.
Buddy is not doing well at all. I have a feeling we will be going to the vet tonight

JudyEddy said...

I wonder why Pam and Janet no longer come to Sycamore Palace

Kay said...

Aha, we weren't alone ! Good to "see" you JUDYE !

MARGY may be sleeping in, I think this is her second day off ??? She went to bed with a satisfied tummy thanks to "him" and hopefully with a dream in her heart !

Lori O. said...

Truder showed up yesterday at 5:26AM.

Kay said...

I don't know about Janet, but Pammy Sue has been away from her puter for weeks and weeks. She's helping her mom take care of grandma who is very ill. I guess she FB's through a blackberry or some such. I miss her here, too !

Lori O. said...

Help. Why do I not remember (CRS?) Janet?

Poor Pammy. That's too much going on.

Speaking of something going on, what have I missed -- and I read the posts -- that MARGY has a "HIM" in her life? Dinner and a full belly? Wooooo-hooo!

JudyEddy said...

Yep Margy said something about maybe not being here this am She is probably dreaming about Tom HMMM Ok did she post a picture of him on her blog just maybe for us to see and she wants to give him her one and only tomato Wow sounds serious LOL

Kay said...

WANDA, I think, but JUDYE will know, Blue Bunny is a WalMart brand. You can get it in many flavors. Haven't had it since leaving AZ, but thought it was good.

Lori O. said...

I need to do something with my hair! Need something shorter with less gray and no demands like styling! Wish we all lived close so we could get our do's done and have some help and fun. Like Steel Magnolias. I loved the beauty parlor scenes in that movie!
Let's recast the movie!

JudyEddy said...

NILLA five hours ago posted this

Dawn was admitted.. She was in horrible pain but now feeling alittle better thanks to Morphine.. Going to give her strong antibiotics so hope they work.. Thanks for all the prayers from everyone..

Kay said...

NILLA is the Blog name for Janet of WV, according to the cheat sheet. Guess she's too busy for frequent blogging, but hope she knows we're all pulling for her and her daughter !

Lori O. said...

JUDY aka EAGLE EYES what's that little round thing in the middle of the nest?

JudyEddy said...

colors on nest

JudyEddy said...

now all we need is the eagles

Kay said...

LOL, recast Steel Magnolia's, I love it. LORI, does your hair have natural curl to it ? You do know, I'm sure, that grey is currently chic. Julie has stopped coloring her hair, just as I did at about the same age. I love the grey highlights in her hair. I'm sure I'd love them in your hair, too ! It's so nice not to have the expense and hassle it takes to keep the grey away.

JudyEddy said...

I can't make it out at all even it I enlarge my screen It will remain a mystery unless some else can make it out

Kay said...

Beats me, LORI, there are so many optical illusions with the nest and they vary hour by hour as the light changes. Looks like a leaf all smushed in to me ???

JudyEddy said...

This is not looking good for us

Just my opinion
LM gonna watch news since I missed all the news yesterday with the trail

Kay said...

Did you see the pics LYNN posted a couple of days ago which showed a eagle family with a little white beanie baby type bear in it. The gals say there was a small blue bear in a nest a couple of years ago. I think it's cute that some eagle parents love bringing home things for the kids to play with !

JudyEddy said...

and we always wondered where our children lost stuffed animals were The EAGLE borrow them LOL

DanaMo said...

Not seeing any uppercase writing, guess we haven't had a visit this morning? :(

Kay said...

Okay, I'm going to fess up. I haven't had any sleep. Can't imagine why, but I haven't been sleepy and I didn't nap the evening away either. So, I gave up on the tossing and turning about 2 a.m., dusted Seth's room aka my den. Didn't want to run the vac in case the neighbors could hear it, so used the dust mop. Pulled the trundle bed out from under the day bed and found a nice little group of dust bunnies. Just moving stuff around put me in the mood to change the room to the second of it's arrangement possiblities. Seth doesn't like change and may protest, but I love the new look. Now I have to hope I don't get sleepy about the time he and the dog arrive !

DanaMo said...

oh don't you hate when you can't sleep. Sorry you had a sleepless night. Hope Seth likes the new arrangement. What time do they come over? How old is Seth?

JudyEddy said...

Hey I came up with a brilliant idea last night Don't know why I didn't think of it before. I am going to start using my neck brace when I set at the puter I just remembered it last night The Dr had given me on to use just in case I have bad days I use to use traction which I loved it made my neck feel so good after doing it.

Maybe using the brace will help I hope I just skimmed last nights comments Don't want to go to work hurting bad way to start the day I say

Didn't I say I was going in the LM ok Now I am

Kay said...

Hi DANA ! Belle and Truder are not coming around as often that's for sure. Guess that's a good reason NOT to set an alarm and get up way too early.

Lori O. said...

Good Morning DANA MO!

KAY, so sorry you didn't get any sleep. It's hard when you have neighbors so close. Next time just hop in the car and come on over!

Lori O. said...

JUDY - why did you have to wear a neck brace? I know you're in LM but I'm just wondering. You don't have to answer. :)

Kay said...

JUDYE, brilliant idea on the brace and I hope it helps.

DANA, the boys will be here at 1 so if I'm going to crash I have time to do it before they arrive. Read back a few posts for my news about Seth's job. He'll earn 1000 bucks and 30 community service points for it. His H.S. requires 130 points by graduation time. Seth will be 17 on Saturday, July 2. I'm sure that sometime over the weekend we'll be enjoying a poolside dinner with cake and presents. Not sure if it will just be family or if some friends will be invited as well.

Kay said...

Seth is, of course, able to stay home alone with the dog and he will on a lot of summer afternoons. However, he likes to change it up by coming here a time or two a week. Julie is only teaching an on line course this quarter, but has department duties that take her to the campus a couple of times a week. Actually today she's taking care of an adorable 1 year old girl who belongs to a young woman she mentors. This is moving day for Sara and hubby as they graduate from a small condo to a nice sized home for Darcy to grow up in.

DanaMo said...

Thanks for refreshing my memory! I remember you talking about the service hours now...my memory is awful. Speaking of which, did anyone see the adorable commercial about some "brain" pills that help with your memory? There's a lady looking for her sunglasses and she walks into the living room and asks herself what she came in for, there's a beautiful golden retriever on the couch who tells her she's looking for her sunglasses and that they are on her head. It's hysterical. At the end he "says" she never listens to me. It's so cute! Sorry...I had to share that.

Kay said...

Yikes, JUDYE, it makes me hurt just to think of the pain you went through with those two neck injuries. No wonder your neck hurts at times !

DanaMo said...

Ouch..JudyE that sounds painful.

Kay said...

That is a cute commercial, DANA ! Put a dog or a baby in an ad and you've got it made. My favs are those with the Geico Gecko, however. I turn the sound off on most.

Kay said...

What's the weather outlook there, DANA ? Afraid some more storms are headed east on the I70 corridor. Columbus has had light rain only off and on since about 5pm yesterday. However, Southern Ohio was slammed with severe storms and tornado warnings all evening.

DanaMo said...

A light rain when I got up this morning, but that's it. The news said slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms, but not severe. Very humid and 90 today. It's not raining now.

Lori O. said...

OMG JudyE, I thought a microwave came crashing down on your head, though it sounds like it almost did. GEEZ! You must be in chronic pain. I'm so sorry.

DanaMo said...

Hey Lori, I get my new counter tops this week. Old ones come off tomorrow night, new ones' on Thursday! Whoo hoo! Can't wait. We ordered them in early May. Never thought we would be waiting this long.

Kay said...

Thanks, DANA ! I don't think it's raining, even lightly, at the nest. Looks very calm.

Lori O. said...

DANA MO - how exciting. Just hearing about PAULA's kitchen re-do, I've een thinking about my own constantly! You must be over the moon! What type of countertop did you decide on?

Kay said...

Once those counter tops are installed please put a pic or two on your blog. Okay, DANA ? That has been a long wait.!

DanaMo said...

I decided on quartz over granite because apparently there is no maintenance that needs to be done on it. It's beautiful. Beige color with specks. I can't wait!!! I will post pics.

DanaMo said...

The rain here was very brief.

Lori O. said...

KAY - if you get to take a nap before I sign off - have a grand day with SETH and Malcolm. Take a warm bath and that should melt you into bed. Ahhhhhhhhh.

DanaMo said...

I'm going to go weed. "See" you later. Have a great day!

Lori O. said...

Ah, the Quartz is awesome! I think I would make the same choice. I can't wait to see the pics! I'm thrilled for you!!! You too, PAULA!

Kay said...

DANA, I have Lowes granite counter tops and love them. What maintenance should I be doing ?They look good as the day they were installed four years ago.

I guess when you don't have eaglets in the nest. You have more time to frolic and play all year round or fish.  Or hunt.
