I'll hit the hay and dream of waking up to great coffee then wait a few hours for eagles to come and make my day!
I'm so blessed to be part of this group of wonderful, beautiful people! Thank you all for all the many great things you are, individually and collectively. May the Lord bless you all abundantly with good sleep, good health and a beautiful tomorrow.
JudieI read your comment at 1:45:00PM today "Decided to do something useful. Read while laundry is in progress." Judie what did you read-----that way we can tell if it was "useful" lol (wink)
Paula seeing an Osprey catch a fish lucky gal.

Lori thank you for posting on your blog those sweet cute kitten. It is nice of you do take care of them until they are adopted.

WV_GAL DANA, I saw an eagle twice that I wrote of on the blog this spring. The latest was fishing from the lake and I saw him take a dive and come up with a fish...I was Dragon Boating then. I also saw an eagle the last time I went to the park, where I went today. It hung around for quite a long time and flew out a couple of times only to come back to where I could see him. There is an eagle I hear around where I live and sometimes I spot it while I am driving...I hear it more often than I see it.

wow that was messed up Jo was going to meet with FAMILY who had been to France, and they went to a French Restaurant last night back track to pre-Split and Jo has a full report Dana sorry can't go back to pick up what time the post was
It's me, JO and I have not seen a bear I sure am glad that Lolly's was 2 fields over and that Lynn's was running across the road and up the mountain! I know I really don't care to be the #3
Dana, now you know me well enough that if I tell you when I go to CVS, I certainly would have told you if I had gone to Paris! ((hugs))
I'm losing my grip turned Jo's FAMILY into Friends who had been Family, and kept calling Lori's kitten Allen instead of Alvin Think I got it right now
Neat ladybug show Shirley....wish I had some natural WV ladybugs... will have to see what my tomato plants look like in the morning and might see if the garden store has some ladybugs also
Lori, I'll take those kitties off your hands any time. I love cats and have 2 of my own (actually they own me). ☺
Loretta, your pictures are great. You have such a fantastic job and so close to nature.
Judie, aphids are a nuisance to rose growers and I have had my share of them. Dawn is for more than dishes.
Jo, please don't start to post in French. Only Hoda will understand. How different is French food? Don't think I've ever had any, except french toast. yum.
Margy, hi and sorry I missed you. It takes me sooooo long to catch up but I don't sit at the computer much during the day. That's why I'm one of the nightowls on here.
Wanda, hope you and the captain are well. GG too. Don't see you much on here. Love you latest trail cam video. Wish I could take those kittens, but don't tell Jim. He thinks 2 is enough. ha!
Hi Shirley! Your petcapades are great. Hope Kathryn gets help for the sore jaw soon.
Lynn, Liesl is adorable in her graduation cap. Who's her milliner?
I have mixed feelings about bear traps. I certainly don't like to see them trapped and I have been witness to at least two instances where a bear was trapped. They cry and the cubs cry and then they return to where the mother and the older siblings were trapped for several nights in a row...It broke my heart.
I have also read and heard first hand from people who had been mauled by bears and how they were charged.
The bears I have encountered were very peaceful and we had very positive encounters where they wanted their space and so did I so we crossed paths but did not tangle.
The park where I was this afternoon has a campground area. The bear trap was in this area. Also there were children playing.I saw it on my way to the car after my hike. We walked through the camp ground to get to the car.
In British Columbia they get one free helicopter ride to be relocated to the woods further away from people. We are however encroaching on their habitat there is no question. If they return they are then destroyed...
Do you see why I have conflicting emotions? I did say a prayer that the bear stay away from the campground and from the trap.
Hoda, maybe the bear trap was the cause of the bear scat. Glad you had a nice afternoon out.
The dish washing spray worked for today. I suspect, although Megan can educate me, that there will be a return.
Shirley, thank you for the aphid control link. Looked it over. Remember that the nursery up the street had lady bugs for sale. May make a visit up there tomorrow to see if they still have some.
Goodnight, JBudy and Lori.
Margy, better caffeine than lots of bad cholesterol. I'll take the caffeine reading. Maybe some French toast with your oatmeal? Glad you had fun at the movie and enjoyed it.
Dana, reading a book called The Anatomy of Evil. All about defining various perceptions of evil when analyzing homicides and other violent crimes.
Diann, when Darth was active duty we had to attend a dinner at the French Embassy. The salad was delicious...
Okay, time to say goodnight. The night light is on for anyone who needs to arise in the night, is headed back the hallway, up the stairs, to the bed, to the recliner, or just stumbling in from the West Coast. Restful sleep for all.
Understand all that Hoda...yes a mixed up situation wonder if bears ever feel like trapping people and relocating them...
here, DNR used to relocate them...if they could tranquilize them and get them moved...when they were a problem mostly because, people would not leave them alone when sighted and just let them get on their way on their own now, I understand, they are different procedures, and they might be relocated, but not always kept alive there is not much of a happy solution when bears and people habitats mix :(
went to a restaurant in Bethesda many years ago Crepes des Maison or something like that. very yummy crepes
I like the idea of French Toast with my oatmeal, Judie...thanks for the suggestion Good Night to you, and watch, don't stumble over any escaping aphids
Hoda, I would also be worried that a child could step in the trap and lose a leg......
MY bear was only about 30 ft. in front of us! I would say that it was about Hope's size. Sorry, Lynne-ie that you weren't the lucky #3...:(
Margy---iron is determined by the hemoglobin, which is a normal part of a blood test. Will they offer that to folks working 2nd shift, too?? Assuming the health department does the draw...right?
We had a large bear running all over town here in Martinsburg on Thanksgiving Day 2010 bear ran through our parking lot and back field area, trap was set up about 100yds from our office Bear successfully got away, OR else, it fell into a nearby quarry hole...never found out and never will know for sure another one was running around the West end of town a month ago including running through the yard of an elementary school it also got away
We go downtown for it Lynn, the Dunn Building, don't think Health Dept is part of it We could schedule our appts from between 0700 and noon notice was on the bulletin board since two weeks ago everyone is advised during training to check bboard, and mailboxes, every shift some, even the oldsters...don't
Read about bears being trapped in a big tube and located elsewhere, but don't believe our Game Commission uses the leg traps anymore. Gosh, I hope not!
so I guess a phone call could be placed in the morning about it I'll slip you the number via email Lynn and you can pass it on might not be any slots left I have to leave during worktime if we are not too busy
Lynne or anyone else who might know. Isn't there a website that gives bird calls? Jim and I have been hearing a bird and we're undecided if it's a Cardinal or a Wren. It's loud.
someone will slip you a link for it, Lynne2 has had it on here before I have a downloaded CD with lots of it but cannot transmit a link to that ! but, cardinals and wrens DO sound alike sometimes
heard a wonderful Wood Thrush at my grandson's today...so dreamy, that sound
I'm in heaven here... my backyard is full of feathered friends. Even had cardinal and chickadee families visit.
A hummingbird (female) visits daily so I have to keep a supply of "hummer soup" handy. She's very particular about her "soup." She won't drink if it's too long between refills. I try to change it every 3-4 days, depending on the weather.
Spent some time saying my prayers while going 35-40 mph in a 55 mph zone (couple of Sunday drivers, I guess) on the way to Berkeley Springs, earlier, (Better than Tail-Gating, for sure!)
will finish the rest here very soon....
Love to all, Good Night
God Bless This Nest, and God Bless Us, Every One xoxo ♥
Some very good questions about children and the bear trap...It is not the kind that would trap a foot...It is a long Canister shape large in size with bars covered with metal wiring...there is food hanging from the rafter. They had signs all over the camp ground and a baricade to not cross to the area where the trap was and on registering to the camp site I presume they warned parents to keep their children from there, I did not see the kids play near the trap...
Gwetting late again! How does that happen??DUH Love all the stories about bears, eagles, etc! Wonder if Lolly got pics??Have to read back & find Lynn's report!
Think Margy asked a ??about the Butterfly Weed pic I put on yesterday. It wasn't wild. I had seen some at Park & a HUGE patch at Merkle & found mine at Home Depot. It does spread pretty well---has thin pods like small milkweeds w/feathery seeds.None of the milkweed seeds I planted grew-Boo.
If I don't get back, Pleasant Feather Dreams and Good Health to all ;>)
Thanks, Diann, can't wait to get the kitchen organized next weekend...got plates and cups and such to put in those new cabinets! My brother was laughing at me last night cause I was just standing in the kitchen admiring everything!
The boy, (my 2 brothers and nephew) went fishing this morning, but didn't catch anything. My nephew is already asking his Dad when are they coming back down :)
Got all the major painting done...hurray!!! I do have some touch up to do in the kitchen...from where the old cabinets where removed and the new ones installed, but it's not a big deal.
Looking forward to doing a little relaxing on July 4th weekend!
Watching the news, but think I have had it. Time to head upstairs.
I am so weary of the commercials being so much louder than the programs. I can't control volume with the remote, so I have to endure the loud commercials if I want to hear the programs.
Hi, Everyone, Getting here a bit earlier tonight. We had fun today--took Emma to the doggy park, and she had a great time. Made friends with a Chiweenie named Sofia who was about Liesl's size and a pretty blue merle color. It was Sofia's first trip to the dog park, and she felt a bit overwhelmed, and kept hiding behind me. What a sweetie! Emma also made friends with 4 doxie mixes, a couple of scruffy terrier mixes (cute!), a sheltie, and a beagle mix. There was also the tiniest Yorkie I have ever seen--couldn't have weighed much more than a dust bunnie! I think it was still a puppy.
LOVE the pictures of the 2 kittens--are they Alvin and Bobby? They are just adorable! Kitties like those two are the reason I don't foster. I would HAVE to keep them all! I'm too much of a big softie!
Ceil, so very sorry to hear of your double loss! ((HUGS)) and heartfelt prayers!
DanaMO, how is the laundry room/Lab room working? If you need anyone to help with the "land mine" pickup, I will volunteer. Do your pups give lessons? So far Emma hasn't presented us with any money. Still hoping, though.
Gosh, there have been some really neat sightings this weekend--eagles and ospreys and bears, oh my! I am jealous!
Well, need to go water a few plants and feed Emma, not necessarily in that order. (You KNOW I'm gonna feed Emma first!) Oh--forgot to mention that on the big dog side of the park today, there was a dog (very sweet) that looked exactly like Hooch the movie dog! JUST HUGE!!! Think the breed is called a Dogue de Bordeaux.
OH--forgot to mention that the neighbors behind us (These are NOT the ones that shoot at the birds--these replaced them several months ago.)had a party last night, and their "boom-bada-boom" stereo was still going far into the night. They are pretty quiet neighbors, only having the occasional party, so we didn't call the cops on them, but didn't get much sleep.
Just in case I conk out in front of the TV, I'm making sure NOW that the porch light is on, and enabling both security systems. Saying prayers for everyone and every creature. Will talk to you tomorrow. Hope everyone (including Hubby and I) gets a good night's sleep in preparation for the dreaded Monday tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
Oh, Hoda...so relieved that it's the canister!!! Guess it is what they term a humane trap. I really thought you meant the metal jaws trap--whew! Guess my mind was working overtime!
Paula, I completely missed the new cabs---was just looking at the countertops! They are great, too!!! And I'll bet that next weekend will be fun in the sun with Nick!!!!
I have read most of the comments from today. No eagle vist this morning, but The Early Bird crew had some lively conversations going...what fun they are!
Sounds like a lot of you had a fun weekend...that's so good to hear:)
Busy day tomorrow with lots of appointments...need some sleep.
Well, I need to get to bed. Looks like most have already gone there!
We had a great weekend. Things are getting done slowly at MILs, and there was much discussion about getting serious about getting a plan together and make some decisions regarding the sale of the house. We took some nice walks with the dogs, and even stopped to walk at Deep Creek on the way home. I took about 100 pictures of wildflowers this weekend...there are SO many blooming everywhere!
Hopefully I can get some pictures posted this week. Seems like we have become very busy people lately! I think much of it has to do with the wacky work schedule I have at the moment.
Steve got 2 letters from UE yesterday. One said he is getting UE benefits, the other says he is denied. They are both dated the same day, both have the same ID codes. Boy, the just can't get anything right. Now he'll have to spend who knows how long on hold tomorrow trying to talk to a live person to see the the FUBAR is. Unbelievable.
Well, goodnight my friends, and prayers for you all!
Alvin and Bobby are playing away right behind me. They've said thank you for thinking they're so cute.
LYNNE - check out the kittens. I finally posted their pics last night on my blog. Sorry about the insurance mess. Dealing with govt can be very trying.
PAULA - I looked on your blog for pics of your new cabinets and didn't see them. Where are they? I'd do backflips for new cupboards!
Did this weekend go entirely too fast or is it just me? Whew!
PA NANA - LYNNE gave me this website for bird sounds a few months ago. www.birdjam.com
I can't believe how much the baby Vultures have grown. They are 3 times bigger this week than they were last week. And the pin feathers on their legs look like they would be painful. OUCHEEE! I'll post some pics later. It is fascinating.
KAY - I hope you and Seth had a nice Sunday. Any big trips?
JUDIE - Is the book you're reading a text book, or something for fun?
MARGY - hope your computer perks up. I did a full backup of mine this weekend. I guess you are gonna love all of Lynne's pics of wildflowers!
Time to roll into the shower and get outta here. Have a wonderful day everyone. Be safe.
pretty sure Dinosaur is going to be slow this morning
Ha Ha !! the Pin feathers comment, Ouch, ROFL
Paula's pics are on FB and she forgot her camera at the beach so it will be next wk before they get on her blog, I think so I have not seen them yet either !
empty nest so far and it is still plenty dark outside this morning "for real"
Aha, what a sight for sore eyes ! Brought the cam up to find Truder in the nest and within a sec there was Belle at his side. Some immediate "good morning dear" beaking.
Seems to me that Truder really is maturing, looking less spastic and more settled. What remains to be seen is, will he be a good provider ? So sad that the Finney2 Ospreys ended up in crisis because the dad was young and inattentive. Do I have that scenario right, MARGY ?
Kay that seems to be what Hedgie was able to determine from the forum site, but the translations into English are rather poor, but I thought she had also said a possible predator problem I haven't been able to do the translation link here It just seemed to happen quickly they did not seem to be thriving, though...
LORI, yes, Seth and I had a wonderful time Sat/Sun.. About noon yesterday Julie arrived with a Noodles lunch. Afterward she took off for her weekly grossery shopping, leaving Seth and Malcolm with me. She came back for Seth, but left the dog with me for the afternoon. The family went downtown to the Ohio Theater for the showing of "To Kill a Mockingbird", part of their summer classic film series. It's Julie's all time favorite movie--she knows every line by heart ! Seth's first time to see it and he was properly impressed. Malcolm and I had a rip snorting good time. Once he went home at 5:30 I was too pooped to even turn on the puter ! Had lengthy phone calls from both out of town kids and just settled in for a long restful evening.
KAY, I'm so glad they left Malcolm with you; however, I have to say it concerns me when you start ripping and snorting. Glad you weren't out in public! :)
DANAMO, good to "see" you, too ! Glad the dogs gave you a break by heading back for more zzzz's !
JUDYE, good coverage of the visit. So glad you and LORI were on tap from beginning to end. I just had a hard time getting started this morning !
MARGY, thanks for the heads up on PAULA's Paradise Pics. I'm not an FBer either and will look forward to seeing the latest renovations on the blog later.
LORI, grreeaat pics of Alvin and Bobby ! They are cute, cute, cute !
Kay I have not seen a whole lot of feeding going on at FinFerry either...but the chicks, look okay and pretty lively Finney1 chicks are big, the three out of the four remaining just not sure what occurred with the youngest Osprey chick :(
MARGY, perhaps you should call the City about the tree triage needed. I'm sure the police took pics and who knows they may even charge the drunken little lass for damage to City property. Just thinking they may have a plan for dressing the wound.
How exciting to hear of all the eagle and bear sightings ! Southern Ohio residents are seeing black bears frequently and dem bears are working their way northward as their numbers increase. The bear, deer and eagle populations are proliferating dramatically due to environmental protection. Wonder when the pendulum will swing back, at least where bear and deer are concerned. See no reason to ever lift restrictions where eagles are concerned !
I can "see" and read that FB seems to be great for staying in touch with Family... and Friends one, I would have to get a new computer, just to do that and two I don't think I would have the extra time am struggling to keep up here and with normal everyday activities also! It's very nice that some on here, accommodate us with added picture links to things now and then Thank You Eaglet Momsters for doing that when you can ! ☺
I have downloaded the second video of both in the nest and in process of the first one now ODD QUESTION the time is three hours behind up Shows that I posted the video at 3:15 am Odd that the EM albums has one day ahead and the video is behind time I wonder why Just thinking out loud again
Thanks Kay May check on that, about the tree... sounds like you had a nice Sunday... ☺ today is Housecleaning Day, going to need to get started on that soon, after a short rest period LOL need to check on the plants soon when daylight is really here and see about local ladybugs, and, maybe, tree doctoring
so ttfn Best Wishes for a Good Day, Everyone...Safe, Healthy, & Joyful xoxo ♥
LORI, good to read that Kate's mom enjoyed her visit and even made it out to see the Vultures ! Not to worry about failing to get your gold star this weekend, there'a a long one ahead and plenty of time to take care of all those to-do's !
MARGY, I went back a long way, but can't find WANDA's post regarding vital appts. for today. What's up ? Do you have to fast tonight in preparation for your blood screening ?
MARGY, your speaking of ladybugs brought a smile to my face ! Years ago a ladybug showed up at the switchboard where I worked. Someone made a motion to annialate it and I jumped up, scooped it up and took it outside. Told them "I love ladybugs, they do good things !" Well you know what happened, right ? For every birthday and Christmas I received Lady Bug stuff----jewlry, pillows, fly swatters,, plush toys, note paper, tee shirts..... Learned never to say, "I love ______" in front of that bunch !
Seeing the Decorah eaglet on the "raceway wall" is a heart stopper. He looks puzzled as he begins to explore the big, wide, wonderful world he's now a part of ! What is a "raceway" as seen here---part of a sewage treatment plant or what ?
JUDYE - thanks for the Eaglet on Raceway Wall link. So nice to be able to see the babies after the fledge. Thank you!
KAY - I don't know what that would be but the eaglet looked like he might be thinking it was easier fishing in that water than a big lake. Just so great to see them after fledging.
The phone conversation with my son was both good and bad. He wanted to touch base before flying to France for a week long Anthropology conference. The "bad" was that his MIL has just been diagnosed with Leukemia. Judy is not only his MIL, but one of my dear friends. She had breast cancer about 4 years ago and responded beautifully to radiation and chemotherapy. We were warned that the radiation can induce Leukemia farther down the road and it did. She'll now be undergoing more chemo and perhaps a bone marrow transplant---yet to be determined. Please include her in your prayers and ask the good Lord to protect Lee as he travels. Thanks dear prayer partners !
Gosh, that video made me sad...to see an eaglet out in the world, the great unknown, all alone. You just want them all to be safe and have an awesome life.

Hi Shirley! Your petcapades are great. Hope Kathryn gets help for the sore jaw soon.
Lynn, Liesl is adorable in her graduation cap. Who's her milliner?
Margy, your explanation was fine. I was about to ask about Jo's day, too. I knew there was something about a French restaurant, but that was it.
Result of my not having read everything. But you cleared it up for me.
well well well......I'm back. And I have read all of 6 posts. And in this time, I see mention of Lynn seeing a bear.
I WANT TO CRY!!!!!!!
LYNN, Leisl looks ADORABLE in her graduation cap.

Hey, Lynne. Welcome home.
Hi Hoda. I agree. They were here first.
Understand all that Hoda...yes
a mixed up situation
wonder if bears ever feel like trapping people and relocating them...
here, DNR used to relocate them...if they could tranquilize them and get them moved...when they were a problem
mostly because, people would not leave them alone when sighted and just let them get on their way on their own
now, I understand, they are different procedures, and they might be relocated, but not always kept alive
there is not much of a happy solution when bears and people habitats mix
:(
Welcome Home Lynne and Steve
Goodnight Judie. Just the salad?
Helloooo Diann!
went to a restaurant in Bethesda many years ago
Crepes des Maison
or something like that.
very yummy crepes
I like the idea of French Toast with my oatmeal, Judie...thanks for the suggestion
Good Night to you, and watch, don't stumble over any escaping aphids
Hi Margy. Thought I missed you.
We had a large bear running all over town here in Martinsburg
on Thanksgiving Day 2010
bear ran through our parking lot and back field area,
trap was set up about 100yds from our office
Bear successfully got away, OR else, it fell into a nearby quarry hole...never found out and never will know for sure
another one was running around the West end of town a month ago
including running through the yard of an elementary school
it also got away
Hoda, how do they protect children from the bear trap?
We go downtown for it Lynn, the Dunn Building, don't think Health Dept is part of it
We could schedule our appts from between 0700 and noon
notice was on the bulletin board since two weeks ago
everyone is advised during training to check bboard, and mailboxes, every shift
some, even the oldsters...don't
Read about bears being trapped in a big tube and located elsewhere, but don't believe our Game Commission uses the leg traps anymore. Gosh, I hope not!
so I guess a phone call could be placed in the morning about it
I'll slip you the number via email
Lynn and you can pass it on
might not be any slots left
I have to leave during worktime if we are not too busy
our trap here was a big round canister, Diann
Smelling a skunk! Eewww!
Yeah, Margy, that is a better description.
Lynne or anyone else who might know. Isn't there a website that gives bird calls? Jim and I have been hearing a bird and we're undecided if it's a Cardinal or a Wren. It's loud.
someone will slip you a link for it, Lynne2 has had it on here before
I have a downloaded CD with lots of it but cannot transmit a link to that !
but, cardinals and wrens DO sound alike sometimes
heard a wonderful Wood Thrush at my grandson's today...so dreamy, that sound
I totally love that BIG SMILEY FACE Diann ☺
waiting on laundry, then it's off to the pillows
missing some on here tonight, hope to find some more posts when I hop on in the morning
and will surely want more input from Megan on aphid control tips
Raining here.....
I usually check the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Diann, but there are several sites that have bird calls.
Spent some time saying my prayers while going 35-40 mph in a 55 mph zone (couple of Sunday drivers, I guess)
on the way to Berkeley Springs, earlier, (Better than Tail-Gating, for sure!)
will finish the rest here very soon....
Love to all,
Good Night
God Bless This Nest, and
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
Thanks Shirley. Have to check it out.
Goodnight Margy. Sure was nice to visit with you. God bless!
my downloaded disc, Shirley, is Thayer's Guide from the Cornell Ornithology group...Love it !!
'Night, now
xo
Some very good questions about children and the bear trap...It is not the kind that would trap a foot...It is a long Canister shape large in size with bars covered with metal wiring...there is food hanging from the rafter. They had signs all over the camp ground and a baricade to not cross to the area where the trap was and on registering to the camp site I presume they warned parents to keep their children from there, I did not see the kids play near the trap...
Evening, all!
Home safe and sound, bbialw.
Sorry, Margy. Guess I was speeding. I must watch the speed limit before I get a ticket. ♥♥♥
Hi Paula! Welcome home to you too.
Your kitchen is looking good.
Judie, I HOPE the bear trap was the cause for the bear scat and that it was smart enough to high tail it out of there... ;^)...
Time for local, late news. Hoda, hold down the fort, I don't think I'll be back.
Goodnight dear friends. Prayers for those in need.
God bless!!
Gwetting late again! How does that happen??DUH
Love all the stories about bears, eagles, etc!
Going to try to read back and get caught up!
I have read about no visit since Thursday...
Watching the news, but think I have had it. Time to head upstairs.
I am so weary of the commercials being so much louder than the programs. I can't control volume with the remote, so I have to endure the loud commercials if I want to hear the programs.
OH MY!!!! There but for the Grace of God go I...
The Hard Times Generation
And how I cry...what are the children doing over the summer???
Hi, Everyone,
Getting here a bit earlier tonight.
I'll try again to post The Hard Time Generation
There But For The Grace of GOd Go I
Diann:
Bird Sounds
Oh, Hoda...so relieved that it's the canister!!! Guess it is what they term a humane trap. I really thought you meant the metal jaws trap--whew! Guess my mind was working overtime!
On the osprey catching the fish, no, of course, I didn't have my camera! But I got to see it!
Margy, sounds like a nice day with James and your former SIL
Judie, I am near Crisfield, MD...Eastern Shore, south of Salisbury
Sharon saw an eagle! Lucky gal!
And Lynn saw eagles and a bear!
Andy, what is a Chiweenie dog?
Hoda, link doesn't work for the Hard TIme Generation.....was that the piece that 60 Minutes had on tonight?? Very heartwrenching...
Goodnight Judie, Diann, Loretta, Shirley......anyone else yet??
Paula, I completely missed the new cabs---was just looking at the countertops! They are great, too!!! And I'll bet that next weekend will be fun in the sun with Nick!!!!
I have watched my shows and the news so
it is that time of the evening for me to
head back the hallway.
Lynn earlier we had our 23 drops of rain
Saying prayers for Tori to keep getting
better... prayers for all those who need
His helping hand.
Hugs for All & Good Night
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Thanks, Margy for publishing my hearts
the other evening!
Goodnight, Andy! You did have a full day--as ALWAYS!
Hoda, 2nd link worked, and yep, it's what I watched this evening.
Paula---it's a chihuahua/doxie hybrid.....another example of designer dogs from a puppy mill production. :( ARGH! Don't get me started!
Hi, Jo.....goodnight, Jo!!!!
I'm right behind you! And imagine Margy will be behind me if she hasn't already turned in.
Sleep tight, one and all. Dream of eagles, and bears, and osprey galore....may tomorrow bring chances to see many more!
Prayers for all.
I didn't know they had canister type traps for bears,,,interesting information!
Thanks, Lynn. Never heard of one before.
Sissy has pics of the bald eagle on FB...
Oh and this week, when it looks like I might have had time to work on pics, I left my camera at the beach!
OK, reading back on this current thread...I'll never catch up on the others!
Judie, hope you were able to get rid of the aphids. I had them on my milkweeds late in the season last year and the did lots of damage.
Sorry to read the Kathryn is still ailing and I hope that the oral surgeon can get her fixed up FAST!
Paula, sounds like you all had another fun weekend at the beach and I'm glad the kitchen is just about done....time to RELAX!
Oh Margy, what a rude awakening you had! UGH!
Lori, I hope Kay's mom had a great time visiting! Did she get to the the vulture chicks?
I have read most of the comments from today. No eagle vist this morning, but The Early Bird crew had some lively conversations going...what fun they are!
Sounds like a lot of you had a fun weekend...that's so good to hear:)
Busy day tomorrow with lots of appointments...need some sleep.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Got to hit the hay!
Love you all!
(((Hugs to all ♥)))
Well, I need to get to bed.
We didn't see a bear.
We did see a male Bobolink!
Back briefly.
Thanks Lynn for the birdsong site.
Will check it out more later but I think we heard a Carolina Wren.
Goodnight to the rest of you. Peaceful rest. God bless.
Goodnight every one and God Bless.
Good Morning Eagle lovers!
Be safe.
OH HODA! Wish I had known you were up. Thanks for the 60 min link. I missed it last night. It's normally a Sunday night ritual. Sleep well, Hoda.
Lori, thanks for the birdsong site.
I've added it to my favs and will check it out later today.
I couldn't sleep again so thought I check in here to see if anyone is awake yet. I'm guessing not, but hey,it was worth a try.
Gonna try to get more zzzzzs.
Have a great day everyone!
Good Morning, again, lovers of Belle and Black Spot, or BS for short!
SOOOOO, so hoping for a visit this morning from both.

I doubt they come back
Good Morning DANA MO!
Good Morning Kay and DanaMo
So long Belle and Truder
leaf not such a big prolem unless Belle is hidden by it ☺
they both look healthy
being a doubting Thomas
That's a fine attitude JudyE. I like to think of the nest as half full. lol!
hey guess what is on the news HODA kitten in a pipe and they said that they named it Piper
me too, Judye, sort of...
I tried three times to type my letters INTO the box
kept hitting tab and shift keys and wasn't in the Box !
just so curious
what makes them come in
and then not stay long
I guess, just to make US all HAPPY
It was wonderful to see them! I think it's a good sign that they are here to stay and will hopefully get some HP going on during mating season!
Good Morning KAY!!!
I didn't even hear you come in.
((((Big, big hug))))
I was up before the pups this morning but was afraid to come downstairs. They heard me of course and now they went back to bed!
Seems to me that Truder really is maturing, looking less spastic and more settled. What remains to be seen is, will he be a good provider ? So sad that the Finney2 Ospreys ended up in crisis because the dad was young and inattentive. Do I have that scenario right, MARGY ?
Kay I was afraid you missed it, but you were here! Yay!
Kay
that seems to be what Hedgie was able to determine from the
forum site, but the translations into English are rather poor,
but I thought she had also said a possible predator problem
I haven't been able to do the translation link here
It just seemed to happen quickly
they did not seem to be thriving, though...
Just beginning to back track on the posts.
Hedgie gave me a translation idea but I am not smart enough to navigate it :(
wow
weather channel
talking about fireworks
lots of placing banning their sale or use
due to drought and fire hazards
If Paula gets Nick later this week
(the one-year old Golden Retriever...at the Rescue center in Capon Bridge)
she must borrow a camera !
Yah, no FB here...probably never...
but others sure "painted" an exciting picture of countertops and cabinets
sounds like the Paradise is really coming along nicely
I, too, prefer the blog to FB. Really, who needs 26,385 "friends" when I have you guys?!
Thanks KAY - glad you got to see the little cuddle-bugs! Having a blast with them.
Kay
I have not seen a whole lot of feeding going on at FinFerry either...but the chicks, look okay and pretty lively
Finney1 chicks are big, the three out of the four remaining
just not sure what occurred with the youngest Osprey chick :(
LORETTA, what lovely pictures of the Loon !
LORI, LOL the "ripping and snorting" ! Thanks for the big hug ! My favorite way to start the day !
I can "see" and read that FB seems to be great for staying in touch with Family... and Friends
one, I would have to get a new computer, just to do that
and two
I don't think I would have the extra time
am struggling to keep up here and with normal everyday activities also!
It's very nice that some on here, accommodate us with added picture links to things now and then
Thank You Eaglet Momsters for doing that when you can !
☺
Hoping that Wanda got a good, restorative night's sleep..
see that she has a Busy day today with appointments
(( hugs ♥ )) Wanda
hope all goes well today
xoxo
As long as you keep loving my vultures, flowers, dogs and cats, I'll post pics forever on this blog.
I am seriously contemplating "de-friending" about 80% of "friends" on FB. Or, I wonder if it would be easier to just use another of my many names!
I have downloaded the second video of both in the nest and in process of the first one now ODD QUESTION the time is three hours behind up Shows that I posted the video at 3:15 am Odd that the EM albums has one day ahead and the video is behind time I wonder why Just thinking out loud again
Thanks Kay
May check on that, about the tree...
sounds like you had a nice Sunday...
☺
today is Housecleaning Day,
going to need to get started on that soon,
after a short rest period LOL
need to check on the plants soon when daylight is really here
and see about local ladybugs, and, maybe, tree doctoring
so ttfn
Best Wishes for a Good Day, Everyone...Safe, Healthy, & Joyful
xoxo ♥
sure was good to see Jo's Six Hearts back on here last night ☺
wonder how Lolly and Jack and all the family are doing !
Just curious - what do JO's 6 ♥'s stand for.
KAY & I use 7 ♥'s for LIBERTY - the # of letters in Liberty's name.
The second video with Belle is 3:05 long and the lst is 2:05 long
Good Pic in the E-M Album Judy
of both birds !
12 posts or less from the Triple SPLIT
check out this video was on facebook EAGLE on raceway wall
Yes Lori
have to fast 9-10 hours
my appt is at 10 am Tues
BUT I can drink water and DECAF tea or coffee (doubtful !)
Wanda just mentioned "lots of appointments"
not sure what kind
Well, that last message was actually for KAY ☺
told you I needed a rest period !
okay, ttfn xoxo
It's okay MARGY. People get us - Kay and I - mixed up all the time!
Well looks like its time for me to bid a good day I have to go to work I don't want to go to work
MARGY, your speaking of ladybugs brought a smile to my face !
MARGY, yeh, LORI's right and we don't mind being mixed up at all.☺
JUDYE, sorry you can't stay n' play for a while, but do HAGD and please know how we appreciate your many contributions to the blog !♥♥♥
JUDYE - you are the video queen and I am grateful for all your work and recording history of the nest!
Godspeed little one!
