Good Evening Steve and everyone else!!! I'm glad I checked for a new thread! Been trying to put together new and old pics for the Nook. 2 sets on there now---a tiny bit of nature & some local history, too! Need more food~~~☺
Haven't been told that my message was too long. I usually get worried that a long post might disappear somehow, so I stop and post and write another message.
I have had long e-mails get lost because I hit a wrong key.
Have seen your posts on OC, Hoda. Always very informative.
I am often mystified by goings-on over there.
Hmm, Hunter is in the basement alone talking away. He must be in the world of imagination. Kathryn asked him what he was doing, and he said that he's yelling. Now he is yelling louder.
Good Evening everyone who is here and to those that will join us shortly. Call Over from Hoda is greatly appreciated as is this Fresh New Friday Night thread from Steve!
I just watched Flash Point and I am thinking it is the last of the season..... My favorite officer was shot by a Road Rage Idiot. Did not like that!
Mema Jo You are so wonderful, you all might get a headache from my long winded descriptions of eagle sightings...I saw them fly to the Y branch this evening and it took me two entries to let you all know!!! LOL, good group to stick with I would say...Thanks DEAR LADY...
Night Judy - too many merry-go-rounds and monkeys for you today
Judie - Lynn - Margy: I wonder if Wanda was looking at that wild hairdo that we saw going to the wedding as far as what she is going to get. She had taken a pic of it - Wanda has enough length to donate to Locks of Love! Some little girl would love those golden locks ♥
If Wanda gets that hairdo, Jo, she will have to take a pic and post on Wild and Possibly Wonderful ☺ Definitely WILD Think she would also look good in what we used to call short haircuts in my youth:
Baldy Eagle Haircut ☺
James is here, enjoying a nice sudsy bath...we were here in time to see the Eagles, but, he predicted we would not... Sigh, guess for the most part, he was correct :(
Will try to get back on in a little while...want to see how everyone is doing !
I had a student some years ago who had a mohawk that stuck up about five inches. He eventually wore it blond one one side and black on the other. He used egg white to stiffen it. Sometimes we discussed strange things in class--for example, Mike's hairstyle.
Hoda until Margy returns - the Bird Watch is tomorrow morning hours that she and James is attending. That is why Margy is asking for it NOT to rain (At least in the morning hours)
I have not seen Flashpoint. Do not know anything about it, I am afraid. I will adjust eventually, but I am still adjusting to Kathryn's choice of television. She watches everything from Dog the Bounty Hunter to Shakespeare.
Okay, for Father's Day I have changed my avatar. This is a one of my favorite pictures with my Daddy and Toby. Toby was my brother's dog, but he was partial to Daddy. My daddy was a farm implement dealer and Toby rode to work with him. Daddy let him hang out in his office as it was air conditioned. There was a peanut machine and one for Boston Baked Beans. Toby loved both. Customers would buy them and toss them to Toby, who was great at catching them in the air.
Hoda - They are (not 'is') attending I reread my comment & grammar to me is very important! My 9th grade English Grammar teacher made me to be that way.......
Hmm, Lucky Kitty is covered in some kind of stuff. Kathryn's deodorant has cat hair on it. Whatever happened? Hunter is under suspicion. I know I did not put deodorant on Lucky. But Lucky scratched Hunter today. Wonder why?
It is funny to scan these old pictures and share them. Daddy died so long ago, 1969, but tears are rolling now. I had a very close relationship with him. Starting at 13 I worked for him. He was the one I could talk with concerning my problems. He was intelligent, kind, emotional, and just a fantastic person. In high school, he laid out one year to help his father on his farm, then he went back and graduated Valedictorian.
Kathryn sounds unamused. I have several sticks of deodorant because my last deodorant purchase was at Costco. I can help her out if she needs me to. She had to wash Lucky.
Hi all....just popping in quickly to say Hello and Goodnight. Haven't had time to read back. Worked all day, had to go to bank, gas station, stores, then eat, then pack, now shower and bed. Hoping to get out early in the AM. Guess it's not such a bad thing that we are not camping this weekend...fairly good chance of thunder storms tomorrow in that area. Daisy, tent, thunder.....not such a good combo!
Puppy update...after owner and tech took dog home to owner's house, only one more pup was delivered. The other was not. Dr Baker had to drive from her home 40 minutes away at 1AM this morning to tend to her back at the clinic. She got her stable, and then she had a surgery to remove the deceased pup, and get SPAYED. YAY for that at least...the owner said there was NO WAY that he'd ever breed her again after this mess. But mom and pups are doing well.
Hope you all are well, and hope everyone has a great weekend!
Lynn, saw where you asked what I vooked for dinner. I vooked meatballs and spaghetti. I repeated that new recipe that I did recently. Really, really good!
Thanks Mema Jo for letting me know Margy will do her Bird Watch tomorrow not today. Tomorrow I will go paddling in the morning and then from there go to the Relay for Life in Lakeside Park.It is for Cancer Survivors and they have various sports activities and the Dragon Boat team decided to give them an Honour Guard to CELEBRATE them. So we form an arch with our paddles raised high as the pipers pipe and they walk in under the arch.I think we have to wear pink and black. From there I will go to yoga. So by that time Margy will be back from bird watching and I can read her account. I hope she can tell us what other birds are flying aobut there and who can Belle be tracking...
emailed PA Linda yesterday since she hasn't been back on here yet.....remember, her brother was in ICU with the MERSA. She gives few details, but here is what she wrote:
Hey Lynne! Thanks so much for contacting me again. It has been a rough month! I am in Florida with my brother now. Will be in touch soon! Thanks again and I miss you and the eaglet momsters!!
I got a kick out of Hunter when we went to Culpeper. He got wound up and was talking away about a variety of things; the words were coming so fast they were tumbling over each other.
Then he would jump to another subject. Once he suddenly started up again in the middle of a story he'd been telling an hour or so earlier.
Took Annie to the vet today. She is doing great! He weighed her in at 10 lbs, down from 12 a year ago. However, her heart sounds great and he said she feels firm or solid. Can not remember which! But, he was pleased with her. He said he understood our decision.
hedgie/Lynn is Judie some sort of detective with the police department? People asked her about some of the witnesses from the trial today and she always seems to have answers to questions...
Found them, Lolly! How about that??? Lots of other old time goodies, too!! Yum, yum...
Lynne, do you take the dogs to Terra Alta with you? Does someone come in and check on the Bro Cat and Freakshow?? Hope you have a good trip. PLEASE be careful--hold the ladder when Steve climbs! Hope you have a nice weekend. Missing you already!
Good late evening, Steve. Thank you for the new thread and welcome home.
Thank you, Hoda.
I reread my words and want to make sure I have not inflated my importance. I attended two seminars presented by Dr. Lee on forensic investigations of crime scenes, evidence collection, forensics, etc. I was, on both occasions, invited to sit at the his lunch table. I was seated across from him the first time and next to him on the second. His wife, of course, was there, also. He would not remember my name but I can say he answered my questions with grace and tolerance of a novice. His most valuable instruction: "Always keep an open mind when working with crime." As for his English skills, if he has time to speak slowly he is very understandable. However, when he has difficulty, he has an amazing sense of humor and makes fun of himself to his audience. I learned much from him and he has my undying respect and gratitude.
Shirley, got to thinking about Rus having his street blocked off and remember something from long-ago training. One reason to cordon off an area is in case the suspect has booby trapped his residence so that there would be an explosion when police enter his residence. It is a precaution for innocent residents.
I agree, Jo. Wanda -- Locks of Love. Spikes? Oh what a sight that would be. I vote for Wanda's Spikes.
Shirley, you may need to have a quiet talk with Hunter. Cats do not like deodorant but they do like to scratch those who apply it. lol
Hoda, stick with us, kid. We're the best!
Margy, wishing you and James the Wise a wonderful outing tomorrow. Wish I could be there but will be in spirit.
Rats (no offense Andy) but the sandperson is getting impatient. Says I need to arise early to go to the Farmer's Market. Also going to pick up hair from my hair salon to put in the garden.
Night light is on for anyone headed back the hallway, down to the tub, up the stairs, to the recliner, or stumbling in from the West Coast. Restful sleep for all.
Lynne, thanks for that word from Linda. Poor gal.....kidsitting and now "nursing".....hope she had all of her tax work finished--or could take it with her!
Shirley, Jennifer talks like that, too----it must be the age!!!
Stronghunter and Hedgie...I would say so...very smart is Judie...now why do you suppose she is getting hair from her salon to put in the garden???It is all very mysterious...LOL
LYNNE 2 This is HILARIOUS!!! Say hi to Steve and have a great trip. WE will look for you back again on the blog by Sunday afternoon...Bye Lynne 2 and Steve...ROFL...
Human hair is somewhat effective in repelling deer who come and eat our tomatoes and vegetables. No mystery there. Just weird. Also put Ivory soap out.
Lynne2, if you sneak back, be very quiet and wear latex gloves so you don't leave fingerprints on the keyboard.
No, thank you, Shirley. I have enough of Annie's long hair. Besides that we do not have deer to chase away. However, doesn't hair keep slugs away, too?
LOL, Shirley, I think the slugs drink themselves to death:) The containers of beer really does attract the creeps and they do drown. Traps made out of soda bottles works very well.
Oh dear, it is Soooo Strange to sign off and not be caught up on the doin's since I last checked from work. Not sure what I have missed out on...
but I better get some sleep, and I wanted to say:
Good Night Moon (which is up in view now) and Good Night Precious Pals... hope I can write tomorrow that we got to make the Bird Walk, without rain interference and that we will have seen some wonderful things at NCTC, like Eagles for example !!
James says hello to everybody, wishes he could meet you ALL someday
Sorry to say that I did the hair bit the last year I planted tomatoes......it didn't help! Neither did mothballs! The deer ate the tops and Myrtle ate the maters!
Had a great ride down...all unpacked ...sat outside and enjoed the breeze...was behind the showers down here...didn't get wet....going to try to catch up...
Speaking of Locks of Love, I would love to donate my hair, but I think it is too damaged. It is my understanding that the hair has to be in good condition and not dyed. Not planning on a spiked hairdo and not getting it too short. I want to leave enough hair to pin it up off my neck if I don't want to wear it down.
Tell James hi back, Margy! Of course, he's met me! Hope you two have a great outing....and that you get to see Belle and what's-his-face!!!
Heading for tub. Will check back before I turn in. Diann and Andy will probably chime in soon! Hope Paula lets us know she arrived safely. To those turning in, peaceful sleep. Prayers for you all as well as family and friends on our list.
Speaking of deer eating the tops of your tomatoes, Lynn...I have a small patch of milkweed that I planted last year...went to check on them yesterday, and a groundhog ate the tops off of them. They are poisonous...hope it makes them deceased!
We were not "just we 3" having crab legs, tonight...Brandon brought Dustin over and a friend (Kids didn't go to OBX), so, they joined us at China City. GG finished her crab legs before I did...she's really becoming a pro:)
GG needs a NEW A/C....$6,000 to $8,000:(
Time for some sleep... Good night...see you tomorrow. Prayers and Blessings for all♥
MARGY & JAMES (GEORGE)... Hope you have a wonderful day at NCTC tomorrow. James, want you to tell us what you saw and what you enjoyed the most! Nite, Nite♥
MARGY and JAMES HAVE A GREAT TIME AT nCT and tell us what you saw...Rain rain go away come again some other day...
Yes Paula...The OC site no longer has an observation thread and I have no inclination to post on any of the other threads with the very closed mind set that is happening there...I am glad you made a safe trip and got there ahead of the rain.
Well, think I will say my goodnights to all. Bath was relaxing, and eyes are heavy. BTW---quinine pills are doing a fine job. No cramps during the night since I took the first one! And only two episodes while driving that were very mild and short-lived! What a relief!!!
Now I lay me down to sleep....I pray the Lord OUR souls to keep.....
Hi, Everyone, Well, Momster/Dadster prayers have worked again! Thank God! Not 20 minutes after I asked for you all to pray about the rat in the house, it got caught in one of the sticky traps! It was awful having to dispatch it with a shovel, but didn't want it to suffer. (Ewwww--still makes me feel a bit queasy.) Still have some sticky traps in the computer room, just in case. Lynn, I don't think the rat was IN the grandfather clock, I think it was UNDER it. There's a bit of a space, just big enough for it to get through. Once it's underneath, the space opens up so it would have room to move around. The way Emma had been acting, she must have seen it run under there. I'm so glad she didn't tangle with the critter!
About the transcription job offer--I have waited all day for the e-mail from the woman, and nothing yet. MTBR...but I promise I will be VERY careful. I am going to e-mail my Transcription teacher and get her input about it. It sure is frustrating to get such wacky job offers! Sigh....
Oh, Wanda, so sorry about the estimate for new A/C for GG! And so very sorry that your trees are gone. I know how you feel--our 3 huge Ficus trees are like good friends! We really do need to start saving as much as we can, though, so we can get them trimmed back next January.
Margy, hope you and James have a great time tomorrow! Can't wait to hear a full report!
Lynne2 & Steve, hope you have a good trip, and a productive weekend. Can't wait to have you back here again! BTW, glad to hear that the Lab is OK, and that she got spayed. Hope the surviving pups will be OK too.
Well, think I'd better call it a day. Busy day tomorrow. Prayers for everyone here, for all those on the prayer list, and for all creatures. Checking to make sure we have a porch light on. Enabling both security systems. Hope everyone has a restful night's sleep. I will talk to you tomorrow! Goodnight and God bless! Love every one of you! :o]
The Bird Walk, is sponsored by the Potomac Valley Audubon Society... and they did require advance registration due to the fact it is being held at a Federal facility... by the time I found I had the day off (had to switch with someone, am working tomorrow instead) I was already one day past the deadline, but was able to get cleared to go... so I would have made a bigger effort to rally some of us others close by...but did not have the opportunity to do that. Usually, at their events, you can just "show up"
ALMOST Time for me to go to work So SAD no visit. I missed the last three visits on my two days off and they didn't show last night or today Hope they show up tonight One can only hope. Odd how they change their routine without notification to us LOL HAGD
Everyone must have gone back to bed, JUDYE... and MARGGY has left to begin her Saturday field trip with James. That's another very fortunate grandchild!
LOLLY - great news on ANNIE and her 2 lb weight loss. My Frankie was diabetic and heavy. She was like BUDDY, would eat anything even the cicadas! One of mine that I have now, Parker, needs to lose a few, too...and his mother is working on it. lol. Coming off so slow this time - only 11 lbs so far. And this is only my second hard core attempt at dieting, so it's become my motivation to keep it off this time!
I'm sure KAY has been up for a potty break with Malcolm already but if I know KAY, Malcolm hates the computer and today is his last day with her, so KAY has decided to dedicate her entire day to her grand-dog! You're a good Grandma KAY! But I'm so happy we get you back next week! ((Big Hug))
It's not raining now so I'll go feed the Black Vultures, (didn't want you to confuse them with any of the cats or FloBear). :)
Here's the pictures I took of them yesterday. One of the chicks HISSED at me!!! I thought it was the parent (run!) then I could see the chick spreading its wings and craning its neck. Little Pipsqueak Hisser! Kate was laughing hysterically.
Well I did fill the bird feeder. It had to have some of good old West Virginia's "duct tape" lol Been looking for the right one to replace this one. Not having good luck. Will try Boltz's today. They are our old time, been around a long time too hardware store.
Trying to catch up on comments. Posted at the Park blog on Loretta's.
Yes Jo I too watched Flashpoint. Now I am wondering if they are going to show him on next week or will they just go around it. That then being the final. Oh my I can't stand it I need to see if he is ok on Flashpoint.
Better posted some of my comments from reading back comments:
Sorry Shirley but you comment about Lucky the cat having "a deodorant hairdo" has me laughing. Plus your comment about your suspisions.lol
Did read were Russ couldn't get to his apartment. Police had area taped off.
Lynne2 is going somewhere this weekend going to Terra Alta. Lynne2 glad Mom and the pups are doing good. Sorry about the one that didn't. That Dr. Baker is something else. Good person!! Lynne you are so funny acting like if you don't get off the computer. Steve will take a hammer to do LOL Hi Steve we know, we know it is hard getting that wife off the computer. HUGS TO YOU BOTH !!
Hode love you telling about our eagles...you keep that up ( : You have a busy schedule today. Love where you all will be holding the paddles in an arch for them to walk under. Sounds perfect !
Thanks Lynne2 for update about PA Linda. I have been wondering and praying for her and her brother.
Lolly so glad Annie has lost some weight and is doing good ( :
Glad we heard from Paula. She had a safe trip to "Paula's Paradise".
Margy bring James to one of our Dinners. Well James knows me don't know if he remembers.Hoping you and James have a wonderful day at the bird walk. Will be waiting to read your report.
Wanda sorry they couldn't fix GG's AC. Man the cost of things new AC 6-8,000. WOW!! Sounds like GG is champion crab crackers hee hee
Hedgie-Lynn glad the quinine pills are working that good for you. ( :
Andy I was so hopeful like others about the transcription job offer. Glad your going to talk to your teacher about woman not getting back to you. God will open the better door for you for a transcription job.
Lots of vehicles driving through development. Today is last day of community yard sale. This placed really get mobbed when they have the Community yard sale.
Paula has her new countertop down a the beach house and her one brother went down with her. Glad she has brothers that can help her. Nice having someone there with her too. ( :
Lori I know what you mean. I always felt when Open House came in October. That it was "Our Family Reunion Time". I am really going to miss that October Date. :(
Hedgie-Lynn I know it was Friday AM when your son in law Shannon. Had his colonoscopy and esophagoscopy. Praying that he gets good reports. I do hope they can come up with the right reason for his stomach problems though. Be in prayer for that too !
I have read where Kay is going to devote her entire day to Malcolm. Since it is his last day with her. Now that is such a sweet woman to give her grand-doggie a whole day of herself. Bless you Kay ( :
Sharon just read you comment "Train was performing tonight at THE INAUGURAL WASHINGTON D.C. STAND UP FOR HEROES". Thanks for posting that. You hooked me on Train..or Train hooked me lol love their music.
Jo I know your saddness when having to take down trees. That have been with you a long time so sorry. We have this BIG river maple. Really was a beautiful tree. I knew it was hollow and knew it was going to cause great damage if a storm hit it. We finally had to have it taken down. Yep it was hollow inside. Guy said it was the best thing we could have done. Still is was a sad day to loose that Big Old Tree.
Good dreary, drizzly morning from the 'ville. Trial underway with lots of fireworks....looks like judge is going to find defense atty. in contempt come the end of the trial! Dana, Shannon has ulcers....treatment underway. Relieved that it wasn't anything more serious than that.....tho' it COULD have been very serious----my Dad died from bleeding ulcers.
Kay mentioned that there is a Kim on the Sutton Center Ok chat now and then. She was wondering if that Kim is the same Kim that problems was had with.????
GOOD SATURDAY MORNING... We had a storm during the night, also. A very good garden rain! Also, had a good rain while we were at China City, then saw a beautiful rainbow. I seldom get to see a rainbow, due to the many trees on our property. Our little Tub Garden is loving the rains we have gotten the past couple of days...and...I know Megan is dancing in the rain:)
Wow---just saw on FB that Candy is on her way to see Kenny G!!! He has a concert in NY tomorrow---she is originally from NY! Safe travels, Candy a nd Jim---and ENJOY a great concert!!
Good morning! Happy Birthday to your Momma, Lynn. 92, that is fantastic!
Some of you misunderstood. Annie has a thyroid condition. We decided on no meds as it was changing her personality. We chose quality of life over quantity. She will continue to loose weight...lose of 2 lbs is not good, BUT she is doing great otherwise. I have changed her food and hopefully we can keep her from loosing more right now. Vet knows we are going on a trip, knows where Annie will be at camp, and he knows he is to keep her comfortable if she should get sicker while we are gone. We do not expect that, but have all bases covered!
I was up long enough around 3am to see lightening and hear thunder, but was back alseep before it got close and slept through it...saw on FB that Carolyn was awake for it---she LOVES storms. Paula, glad the screens were the only "damage" but hope the house didn;t fill with skeeters!
Worked in the yard for a short while and then we went and got the trailer. Yea! The boys will be excited when they see it today. Now I can start loading!!! Wahooooo!
Thinking of Margy and James. Wish I was them at NCTC today! Hope they spot an eagle or two!!!
Time now to clean up and get ready for Laurel and the boys. Expecting them sometime after lunch. They will want to play on the slip and slide but do not know if we can sit outside and watch them. May have to put on my swim suit and soak myself to do than. NOT going on the slip and slide. LOL Can you imagine running and diving on to the ground? Yikes!
Lori, looked at your pictures. Those little chicks are so homely that they are cute.
Also, forgot to tell you. I bought a new bird feeder yesterday. The doves were eating all the birdseed in just an hour or so. I think they spill a lot of it as the squirrels have been feeding on the ground. This feeder does not have the dish under it. Do not know if I am going to like it or not. Dern doves! I want my cardinals to keep on coming to the feeder, time will tell!

Good Evening everyone who is here and to those that will join us
shortly.
Call Over from Hoda is greatly appreciated as is this Fresh New
Friday Night thread from Steve!
I just watched Flash Point and I
am thinking it is the last of the
season..... My favorite officer
was shot by a Road Rage Idiot.
Did not like that!
Hoda advised all of us earlier that she is finished trying to help
the OC folks - She is sticking with
us! ♥
Shirley I am thankful Russ got into the apt! I am sure the police
were doing a very thorough search
of the house in his neighborhood.
No, Hoda, we never get tired of long descriptions of eagle landings. LOL
Just finished dinner and now finishing my glass of wine. Very good dinner, if I may say so myself$☺
Tomorrow Laurel and the boys will be here. We are having homemade pizza at Jack's request.
WEllll, I heard my name, Jo
If Wanda gets that hairdo, Jo, she will have to take a pic and post on Wild and Possibly Wonderful ☺
Definitely WILD
Think she would also look good in what we used to call short haircuts in my youth:
Baldy Eagle Haircut ☺
James is here, enjoying a nice sudsy bath...we were here in time to see the Eagles, but, he predicted we would not...
Sigh, guess for the most part, he was correct :(
Will try to get back on in a little while...want to see how everyone is doing !
Thanks for the Great New Friday Thread Steve....
hope you are, or will be soon, home at Your Roost
MARGY You have to write about what you saw at NCTC...did you not go today?
LOL, Hoda---describe your eagle sightings to your hearts content!!! FINE with us! So you saw a pair tonight??? Wonderful!
Greast pics, Lowreeda.....asked you a couple of ??'s in my comments!
Lolly, what did you fix for dinner tonight???
Oh, yes, Jo---wouldn't we all look just great in that spiky hairdo?? NOT!
Loretta - I love your Nook The
pics & their history are great.
I'd like another road trip down
there because there is much more
to see.......
Jo, not to worry---Flashpoint still has next week, too....and it doesn't say that it is a season finale, either!
I had a student some years ago who had a mohawk that stuck up about five inches. He eventually wore it blond one one side and black on the other. He used egg white to stiffen it. Sometimes we discussed strange things in class--for example, Mike's hairstyle.
Hoda until Margy returns - the Bird
Watch is tomorrow morning hours that she and James is attending.
That is why Margy is asking for it
NOT to rain (At least in the morning hours)
Thanks for the Flash Point program
You think he might not be dead??
I have not seen Flashpoint. Do not know anything about it, I am afraid. I will adjust eventually, but I am still adjusting to Kathryn's choice of television. She watches everything from Dog the Bounty Hunter to Shakespeare.
Okay, for Father's Day I have changed my avatar. This is a one of my favorite pictures with my Daddy and Toby. Toby was my brother's dog, but he was partial to Daddy. Hoda - They are (not 'is') attending
I reread my comment & grammar to me is very important! My 9th grade
English Grammar teacher made me to
be that way.......
No, Jo, I don't think he will die. He's the main character!
Lolly, great pic! Hey, wonder whatever happened to the Boston Beans??? I liked them!
Hmm, Lucky Kitty is covered in some kind of stuff. Kathryn's deodorant has cat hair on it. Whatever happened? Hunter is under suspicion. I know I did not put deodorant on Lucky. But Lucky scratched Hunter today. Wonder why?
Lucky Kitty smells like deodorant.
Too funny, Shirley!

I wonder if they are still available, Lynn. Think I will google them.
Lynn, I think they are still available. Found a web site! I really liked them too.
Kathryn sounds unamused. I have several sticks of deodorant because my last deodorant purchase was at Costco. I can help her out if she needs me to. She had to wash Lucky.

So by that time Margy will be back from bird watching and I can read her account. I hope she can tell us what other birds are flying aobut there and who can Belle be tracking...
ROFL, Shirley....don't think you need Judie on this case---you solved it already!!!
emailed PA Linda yesterday since she hasn't been back on here yet.....remember, her brother was in ICU with the MERSA.
Had me confused for a moment.
Lynne, you still here? Have something to tell you!
still here....clearing table of the mess I have made!
Took Annie to the vet today. She is doing great! He weighed her in at 10 lbs, down from 12 a year ago. However, her heart sounds great and he said she feels firm or solid. Can not remember which! But, he was pleased with her. He said he understood our decision.
Hunter applied deodorant to Lucky? Oh dear! Glad it got washed off...
awesome Lolly! So glad the HyperT hasn't affected her heart! That's great news!
We knew she was doing well, acting well. It was just fantastic to hear it from him!
hedgie/Lynn is Judie some sort of detective with the police department? People asked her about some of the witnesses from the trial today and she always seems to have answers to questions...
So glad to hear good pet news! I was thinking of Paula who is probably heading for the beach this weekend, without Nugz....
Yes, he said he has heard hearts that were racing, full of murmurs, but hers sounds great. I am so happy tonight!
Yes, I thought of that too. Glad she is going to have her brothers with her. Also happy to hear she will be getting another dog.
As far as I know, Hunter has not yet confessed, but . . . I know I didn't do it, and we were the only one with opposable thumbs around.
bad heart murmurs and tachycardia usually happen in HyperT cats.....Annie is blessed!
OK, really gotta run....table not cleared and here comes the husband out of the shower....
love you guys and miss you!
LOL Shirley!
Wow, she's planning on getting another dog....cool!
NO....STEVE
HELP!
DON't UNPLUG ME.......NOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Judie is a psychology professor at George Washington University. She teaches police officers about the psychology of criminals.
Have fun, Lynne.
Hoda, Judie is a professor of criminal forensics psychology at George Washington U in Washington, DC! One smart cookie, our Judie!!!
cats will be fine STOP IT STEVE
we'll be back....LET GO OF MY COMPUTER
on Sunday afternoon. HELP!!!!!
I'll try to check in from MIL's computer. PUT THE HAMMER DOWN STEVE!!!
gotta go.....OK I'm GETTING OFF HONEY
oh yes, the dogs will be coming with us!
ha ha Steve walked away!
I think Lynne has been unplugged by Steve. Too funny!
Lynne, Paula has her brother with her this weekend. They are taking down the new kitchen countertop! I'm very glad that she's not going to be alone.
We miss you, too, Lynne! But, your hubby wants your attention and we understand that. After all, you have only been married a couple years!!!!☺
Lynne, thanks for that word from Linda. Poor gal.....kidsitting and now "nursing".....hope she had all of her tax work finished--or could take it with her!
Shirley, Jennifer talks like that, too----it must be the age!!!
Stronghunter and Hedgie...I would say so...very smart is Judie...now why do you suppose she is getting hair from her salon to put in the garden???It is all very mysterious...LOL
ha....he's outside.....all he really wants is for me to get my arse in gear so we can be ready to march at 0500...LOL!
UH OH, caught again......BYE!
LYNNE 2 This is HILARIOUS!!!
Say hi to Steve and have a great trip. WE will look for you back again on the blog by Sunday afternoon...Bye Lynne 2 and Steve...ROFL...
roflmbo....you are full of it tonight, Lynne!
No TV on here. Jack has put on a CD of German beer drinking songs. Sounds pretty wild in here.
Dr. Henry Lee here - NOT.
Thanks Judie...
I hope Lynne2 also follows your advice.LOL
I will tell friends who have the deer problem what you suggest.
It seems that the FBI is still in Rus's neighborhood.
Yes, Judie, they went in looking for bombs without even getting a search warrant.
That is fine with me. I would not want any bombs blowing up.
To anyone who wants it: I could give you a whole bagful of a mixture of cat hair and dog hair.
I guess you can figure the FBI plans to stay awhile when they go in and set up a tent.
No, thank you, Shirley. I have enough of Annie's long hair. Besides that we do not have deer to chase away. However, doesn't hair keep slugs away, too?
Don't know, Lolly. I have heard you put out little dishes of beer if you have slugs. I think they drown in it.
I do know that birds like dog hair to line their nests.
Going to head upstairs. See you tomorrow. Rest well, everyone.
LOL, Shirley, I think the slugs drink themselves to death:) The containers of beer really does attract the creeps and they do drown. Traps made out of soda bottles works very well.
Oh dear, it is Soooo Strange to sign off and not be caught up on the doin's since I last checked from work. Not sure what I have missed out on...
but I better get some sleep,
and I wanted to say:
Good Night Moon (which is up in view now)
and Good Night Precious Pals...
hope I can write tomorrow that we got to make the Bird Walk, without rain interference
and that we will have seen some wonderful things at NCTC, like Eagles for example !!
James says hello to everybody, wishes he could meet you ALL someday
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
Sorry to say that I did the hair bit the last year I planted tomatoes......it didn't help! Neither did mothballs! The deer ate the tops and Myrtle ate the maters!
A line of salt is also supposed to repel slugs.....Margy might know if that works or not!
Hey a new thread!
Evening all!
Nite, Nite♥
Ya'll got me ~:[}?a:....Oops that is ROFLMAO!!
Oh wanda yuk on that ac cost....
Hoda, I read you are giving up on the OC....you tried just like I did...
Gonna go read the other thread...
Sorry I missed Lynne...have a good weekend!
Margy and James...HI and have loads of fun tomorrow
Guess you were reading Lynne's comments, Paula. She was a hoot tonight! Don't know what she had been drinking. LOL (I know she does not drink!)
Well, as usual, I fell asleep here in the chair. Time to call it a night.
Paula, have a great weekend. Here it is 11:00 and still 91. Yuk! Wish I had your cool breeze!
Night all! Sweet dreams!
MARGY and JAMES have a GREAT TIME AT NCTC is what the last post should have read...
Lynne2 and Steve have a great weekend and we'll see you Sunday. Drive Safely.
Good Evening and Almost Good Night
Paul so happy the showers didn't
interfere with your drive down.
Lynne - You had me laughing!
Wanda - so you did have some extra company! Great that the boys joined you.
Hoda - your day tomorrow sounds eventful!
Lolly - Hair ?? do you think the
armadillos could be repelled?
MARGY & James - Hoping you have
great sightings tomorrow.
No Lynn I was laughing at everythin Lynne, the deodorized cat, spiked Wanda hair!
I am pooped...gonna see if I can get a chapter in before my eyes close
Gnite all
(((Hugs for all)))
My turn to meet the Sandman..
Good night to all and prayers for
all those who are in need.
Hugs for all my friends ♥♥♥♥♥♥
I will one day get use to seeing my yard and the blue skies since there isn't any coverage of trees, beautiful trees, for me to hide under. :(
Well, think I will say my goodnights to all.
Hi, Everyone,
Well, Momster/Dadster prayers have worked again!
Mema Jo I am soooo very sorry you lost the trees in your front yard...I am sure you tried your best to save them.
Good night to all who have gone to bed God Bless.
I will say goodnight too now and see you in the morning God Willing.
Good Morning Eagle Buds
HEDGIE Boston Baked beans can still be bought I have seen then at all the Dollar Trees,Dollar Generals

Color on nest now where are our eagles
Good Morning JUDY and MARGY!
Just rolled out of bed.
I heard the storms last night and wondered if they would show up.
Thank you Lord for the rain!
Good Morning Eagle Pals...
well, the eagles might be flying around trying to get themselves dry...? Maybe
good moring Lori I have seen Margy yet only me so far
They probably saw what we were saying about them last week looking like crap all wet and decided not to stop in lOL
Yes, but I knew Margy was lurking. :)
cup is empty gonna cruise to the kitchen to get another cup EYES OPEN be back fast
OH I was hoping the would show up when I stepped away NO LUCK ;-{
Skies look pretty good, weather forecast seems okay
The Bird Walk, is sponsored by the Potomac Valley Audubon Society...
and they did require advance registration due to the fact it is being held at a Federal facility...
by the time I found I had the day off (had to switch with someone, am working tomorrow instead) I was already one day past the deadline, but was able to get cleared to go...
so I would have made a bigger effort to rally some of us others close by...but did not have the opportunity to do that.
Usually, at their events, you can just "show up"
I hope Lynne has a good trip to Terra Alta, should be some good flora and fauna to see there
We Expect Pictues, Lynne
MARGY are you lurking Just say hi Nest is foggy again looks so pretty
GOOD MORNING Margy
I read back through posts on this thread but but did not finish up on the old thread yet, so I hope to catch up on that later...
Hoda:
Hope the Dragon Boating goes well, and your mission preparing the Arch for the Cancer Relay
sounds very beautiful
Okay, have some coffee and my blood will begin moving in a min.
Went to bed at 8:30 so haven't read past that last night...
Did you guys see the new pictures I put on my blog of the Black Vulture chicks?
That sounds like a good name for a hard rock band, or a group of biker women. lol.
I see there are yet more wonderful Father's Day Avatars ♥
James and I appreciate all the good wishes on our Bird Watch....
THANK YOU....
hope to report back with lots of interesting sightings
By the way, I have seen NO slugs this year except one several weeks ago, Maybe the earwigs are eating them all !
Better start getting things together here or we will MISS the birdwatch!
Jo, I am thinking of your post about your trees...am so sorry they had to be cut down :(
Best Wishes for a Good Day, Everyone...
xoxo ♥
I guess it because there is no eagle in the nest but this this morning seems to be going so slow I can't believe it only 6
a pretty bird is singing at nest NICE
MARGY - have a great time at the event. It sounds like a nice time. Well, you always have a good time with James. Travel safely.
Beautiful nest this morning, but still no eagles.
Have a good day at work JUDY! See you tomorrow.
The 2 Black Vulture Babies
There's a squirrel in the nest now - hope the eagles aren't hungry.
TRUDER or Belle JUST LANDED IN THE NEST!
MUST BE BELLE NO BLACK SPOT ON THE HEAD AND SHE'S CALM JUST SITTING ON THE RAIL AT 9 WHERE SHE FLEW IN.
BOTH ARE IN THE NEST NOW. TRUDER JUST LANDED FROM 3. HE IS A SOAKING WET MESS AGAIN.
HIGHLY UNUSUAL THAT BELLE COMES IN FIRST IN THE MORNING. TRUDER IS ALWAYS THE EAGER EAGLE.
BELLE STILL SITTING THEN MOVES TO CENTER AREA WITH TRUDER AND BOTH BEGIN PICKING AT FLUG/
THEY ARE IN THE FACE TO FACE POSITION THAT USUALLY DOESN'T LEAD TO GOOD THINGS FOR THESE TWO. BELLE FACING 4 AND TRUDER FACING 9-10.
BELLE WALKS OVER TO TRUDER NOW NEAR THE LEAVES AROUND 4 AND THEY ALMOST BEAK, BUT NOT AGGRESSIVE.
THEY SWITCH PLACES. BELLE TRYING TO TIDY UP AROUND THE 4 - 5 AREA PUTTING FLUG INTO THE RAIL OR SOMETHING AND TRUDER GO TO WORK (?) OVER AT 10.
TRUDER ON THE SIDE AT 8 AND BELLE AT 5, EACH TRYING TO IGNORE THE OTHER. THEIR GAMES ARE SO FUNNY.
HERE WE GO...TRUDER WALKS OVER TO BELLE WHO HAS FLUG OR SOMETHING HANGING FROM HER BEAK... FACE TO FACE AGAIN.
POOF! BELLE IS GONE. TRUDER STAYING BEHIND.
TRUDER SITS AT 5 AND LOOKS LIKE HE WATCHES BELLE DO A FLY BY.
HE IS VERY WET AND SCRUFFY LOOKING AGAIN THIS MORNING. HE MUST SLEEP IN THE RAIN. BELLE LOOKED PERFECT, AS USUAL. NOT A FEATHER OUT OF PLACE.
SORT OF SAD. TRUDER SEEMS DEPRESSED THAT BELLE IS GONE.
POOF - SO HE LEAVES!
That was a nice suprise! An 11 min. visit.
Now, I'll go feed my little raptors in the shed barn! LOL!
Good Morning JudyE, Lori, and Margy.
I see I already missed the eagles this morning. Have to read comments.
First I'm going out to fill bird feeder.
Good morning!
I see leaves in the nest. Too bad the eagles aren't yanking the fresh leaves off the branch in front of the camera.
Good Morning Shirley ( :
Did Lucky survive his bath?
Better posted some of my comments from reading back comments:
Sorry Shirley but you comment about
Lucky the cat having "a deodorant
hairdo" has me laughing. Plus your
comment about your suspisions.lol
Did read were Russ couldn't get to his apartment. Police had area taped off.
Lynne2 is going somewhere this
weekend going to Terra Alta. Lynne2 glad Mom and the pups are doing good.
Sorry about the one that didn't.
That Dr. Baker is something else.
Good person!!
Lynne you are so funny acting like
if you don't get off the computer.
Steve will take a hammer to do LOL
Hi Steve we know, we know it is
hard getting that wife off the
computer. HUGS TO YOU BOTH !!
Hode love you telling about our
eagles...you keep that up ( :
You have a busy schedule today.
Love where you all will be holding
the paddles in an arch for them
to walk under. Sounds perfect !
Thanks Lynne2 for update about PA
Linda. I have been wondering and
praying for her and her brother.
Lolly so glad Annie has lost some
weight and is doing good ( :
Glad we heard from Paula. She had
a safe trip to "Paula's Paradise".
Margy bring James to one of our
Dinners. Well James knows me don't
know if he remembers.Hoping you and
James have a wonderful day at the bird walk. Will be waiting to read your report.
Wanda sorry they couldn't fix GG's AC.
Man the cost of things new AC 6-8,000.
WOW!! Sounds like GG is champion crab
crackers hee hee
Hedgie-Lynn glad the quinine pills are
working that good for you. ( :
Andy I was so hopeful like others about the transcription job offer. Glad your going to talk to your teacher about woman not getting back to you. God will open the better door for you for a transcription job.
Hi, Dana.
Lucky just got a little wiping down with a washcloth. He is okay.
Hope you are well today, Dana.
Good morning my eagle budlets!
Good morning, Sharon.
Shirley I am tired from yesterday. All that walking around in town. In stores plus errands I had to do.
Today I might have to make my trip to town again.
Oh I know I haven't had my pick me up yet. Although it is decaf I need my coffee.
Hi Sharon so glad to see you here.
Birds are loving the bird seed. Still only have seen one hummingbird. Although how can I see one if I'm in town right lol
You just reminded me, Dana. I need to get some birdseed today.
I am slam out of birdseed.
Lots of vehicles driving through development. Today is last day of
community yard sale.
Now that is such a sweet woman to give her grand-doggie a whole day of
herself.
EAGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Belle.
This is the first time in forever that I have seen an eagle in our nest. So glad it is our Belle.
2 eagles
Truder.
Awww, she is standing at Lib's favorite perch.
Nestorations.
Not sure what Truder is doing now.
HAPPY 92ND BIRTHDAY TO MY MOMMA!!
See our nest is no longer MT! Belle front and center!
Sharon, are you working today?? Or have you gotten back to a M-F schedule yet?
Getting to see Belle and Truder.
So glad that is was not more serious with Shannon but still stomach ulcers. Really need to be watched.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LYNN'S MOTHER
Happy birthday to your mother, Lynn.
Yes, saw that at the trial, Lynn. Interesting.
Peaceful activities at the nest, now. Is she bringing him around?
I think Truder has fleas--or mites.....keeps digging under that right wing.
Truder was preening. Belle looking out of nest at something. Like something is flying around.
Poof went Belle
Truder behind the leaves.
Saddness to read about the chicks at ?Finney 2.
Kay mentioned that there is a Kim on the Sutton Center Ok chat now and then. She was wondering if that Kim is the same Kim that problems was had with.????
At the trial--
That new witness makes me feel young. He graduated from college when was in elementary school.
Poof Truder.
Fly over.
Molrning all!
Had a storm blow thru during the night...blew out 2 kitchen screens ...waterb on the floor but its all good
Think I got a pci of one osprey chick head in the nest!
BBL.
Hi, Paula!! Hope there is not any more damage.
Paula good to hear from you at the beach house. Glad the storm didn't do anymore damage than that.
Keep checking for pics. I love seeing them ( :
GOOD SATURDAY MORNING...
We had a storm during the night, also. A very good garden rain! Also, had a good rain while we were at China City, then saw a beautiful rainbow. I seldom get to see a rainbow, due to the many trees on our property.
Our little Tub Garden is loving the rains we have gotten the past couple of days...and...I know Megan is dancing in the rain:)
JudyE good advice to give Angie's boss. Enclosed run for that little doggie!!!!!!!
Let us know when you go camping there. I just know you will take pictures to share with us ( :
Good Morning - a bit wet out there
Shirley - How could a Good Momster
as yourself run out of birdseed?
Glad you don't have any stinky
kitties around your home!
Happy Special 92nd Birthday
to Lynn's Momma
That really is special Lynn - hope you get to spend some time with her in the future.
Wow---just saw on FB that Candy is on her way to see Kenny G!!! He has a concert in NY tomorrow---she is originally from NY! Safe travels, Candy a nd Jim---and ENJOY a great concert!!
LOL----Shirley....me, too! He was in medical school when I was born! He's rather long in the tooth---but seems fairly sharp!
We do not expect that, but have all bases covered!
loss not lose
Yikes!
Glad Candy is headed for NY to get to see Kennedy Rogers in Concert. Have fun. I love to hear him sing. Safe travels.
Ok I'm headed to town.
Oh, forgot!
Hedgie - The Kenny G concert I think is at Ft Bragg where Josh is stationed. It is in
Fayetteville NC.
I bet James and Margy have had a
very good morning and I hope they
have sighted all kinds of birds - even an eagle or two... Just maybe
Paula hope the clean up from the
storm is a quickie. Just hope your
screens are not missing.
Well my backyard looks Bleak to say the least. Birds & squirrels still found their goodies!
Yes, Dana it a feeling of 'loss'
Whoops Truder is in the nest
Yo Yo Truder
He didn't Yo Yo - He is hiding
behind that darn leaf!

Police presence and the press have departed Rus's neighborhood. Peace reigns.

I really hope they are there for Margy and James.
