Wanda - Maybe Belle is just like us. We don't know what happened to Lib and hope he will come back. In the mean time, maybe she is just keeping the peace knowing nothing will come of any HP or nestorations this late in the season. She hasn't abandoned her nest, that is for sure!

As far as who is gonna be the male here, you may have a long wait.Don't really know if anyone is out looking, or has anyone documented seeing Liberty, if he is still in an area, maybe 2-3 miles from this nest. So many questions left this year, and how can we be sure. Just a thought, and bless you all with God's love this Easter.
I gotta go for dinner in a minute. Hope someone else is keeping track of events. Belle is just sitting there, looking around and by my count, she has been on the nest for 1 hour and 6 minutes so far!!
Bless you BelleI wonder what you know that we don't. I am not angry at all at Belle. I am not angry at any eagle. I am still very dismayed at how nature took its course though. OK yes I remain pretty angry at how this played out on the nest, but not at any eagles. Our 4 year old hasn't been jilted "yet" MTBR as next season unfolds I guess. He is one of the 30% that has so far survived to reach almost adulthood.

Looks like rain in Kay's roost, Columbus...headed our way:( Not a very good Easter weekend. Probably a lot of Easter Egg hunts have been moved to indoors, if possible. We had an Easter Egg hunt indoors last evening for Jayden. I don't think I have any photos of him 'finding the eggs', was laughing so hard forgot to take pics. Each egg that he found was examined carefully, then placd back exactly where he found it...guess he didn't want to get into trouble:)
Leona - Glad to see you. I must have been "out of touch" when the news came in about your ankle. I am guessing it is broken? You must be on crutches - That is awful in and of itself.

Well Thank you very much for the wonderful reports and Belle and Truder's visit was long...I wonder why they have stopped in so frequently today. It is good to see her. I voted and they were very pleasant and they had to make a correction sheet for the voters list but it all got done and I cast my vote and am pleased. Yoga class went well also. People must be enjoying Easter meals with family and I wish you all a HAPPY EASTER.

The group over there seems to have lost touch with reality. Paula tried so many times to set them straight with facts, but it never worked. Jo and Shirley chimed in over there and it didn't work either.
They're running TOTALLY on emotions, or at least that is the way I saw it when I was over there. So many theories just don't add up.
Granted, some of them have done some research and are getting more knowledgeable about Eagles, but they're so new to the OC Cam that they don't even know how to recognize Liberty, even if they saw him.
I am one of those newer ones, and certainly wouldn't be able to tell you if I saw Lib or not. But I trust those who KNOW what they're talking about. Experience is key in watching this pair!! This group knows what they're talking about and I RESPECT that!
Anyone who has watched Liberty and Belle for a while can see the difference in the behavior of Belle and Truder towards each other. It's so obvious it's not Liberty. And watching Truder's hp efforts, it seems pretty clear that he is a novice at it. I think not accepting that Liberty is not the male we are seeing is living in a state of denial, or perhaps in a state of hans... Later- couch is calling- Dr WHO is coming on, finally!
DanaMo - I just looked it up on the internet! Wow!! Never heard of them, but what a wonderful experience to share with your children explaining the death and resurrection of Christ. I'm going to send the recipe to my younger brothers who still have young children in the home. It might be too late this year, but they can do it in years to come!!
They are really cool. When you take them out of the oven in the morning they are hollow inside. Love the way you use the Bible verses to go along with it.

Hi all! Has once again taken me forever to read the blog.
We had a great day. Went to Zach's soccer game, had lunch out, then Jack and I kept Zach while his parents went to the grocery store and Easter shopped. Zach and I practiced picking up tiny cubes with pinchers (fine motor skill therapy) Then we drew pictures of the whole family and wrote their names. Again, practicing holding the pencil correctly. After that we went outside and blew bubbles! Got lots of loving time in!
Can hear thunder in the distance here and have been glancing at the weather map on my laptop. So far it is still south and west of us. It may miss us, but it is slow moving and see they are indicating tornadoes.

Read all the comments about Truder's name. I have my opinions, but I want to say this first. To the newbies, this blog is so very close and tied together with sincere friendships. Disagreements and arguments do not happen and never will. We laugh, we tease, and we support. Yes, we have our differences and different opinions but we show respect for each other. So, do not be concerned about that problem arising.
Now, my opinion. I will not call him T____ bird again. I promise! ☺ LOL But, I smile when Sharon says Jerk!! (That is what he is, not his name!) And, he will always be Truder to me. Once I call someone or something by a name, it is just hard to change.

I think we all agree about our appreciation and love for nature and the creatures we watch every day.
I have talked about my blog friends with my other friends, especially the bridge group, and they say that there is something good about a group that comes together because of an appreciation of nature. I think so too.
As I said before, Bette called me to say thank you for your prayers for her. She was so touched that someone would do that for her.
When we got home we finished planting the bulbs. Then I came in and cooked and prepared approx 3 dozen deviled eggs for tomorrow. We are going back to Michael's after church. There will be 10 adults and 5 kiddos. I love it when I have all three of my grandboys together.
Funny thing, I went online looking for eagle names . . . yes, I found some. And at the top of the list is "Liberty." Bittersweet. Brings tears to my eyes.
We will have ham, potatoes and squash tomorrow. And what we used to call "walking salad"--carrot sticks, etc. with dip. Oh, I need to pick up a roasted chicken. Rus does not like ham, so I usually get a chicken for him.
Must still catch up. I don't like the name "turd" either.
I know most of us are loyal to Lib but we must accept the possibility that he won't return next breeding season. Since he is RUDE to Belle, I'd like to submit "Rudy" as an alternative.

We have had so much rain that we cannot get into the garden to plant anything. By the time the gound is dry enough, it will be too late to plant spinach and lettuce (the heat and bright sun of May and June will make them bolt). I don't know how Megan is able to get anything in the ground, she lives very nearby and gets nearly the same amount of rain. Whomever is doing the RAIN DANCE, Please stop! I think it may be Norma;)

That is gross, Judy ! I know the feeling. I missed many a holiday during my 20 years at Harrah's Laughlin Casino and Hotel. We always found another day of the week to celebrate and made it work.
Stan and I always had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner sometime Easter week. We liked having that menu a couple of times a year and thought Easter a good time for giving thanks !

What a beautiful EASTER morning! The sun is shining, birds are singing their little heads off and it is 65°, going up to 79°. We had our EASTER dinner Friday evening with most of the family...today, we hope to take GG to a restaurant, of her chosing, this afternoon, if she feels up to it.
went to Swinging Bridge to check on the Red-Shouldered Hawk's nest yesterday evening...did not see any action at all, but I heard them at another location, but could not locate any other nests... yet... and though I think my eyes were fooling me, I THOUGHT I saw a Bald Eagle fly over while I was driving..but cars were behind me and I could not really check it out !
Going to head out to Shepherdstown in a litle while, to catch up with grandson James and his Dad, maybe we will see some Eagles down there along the Potomac

DanaMo - I just looked it up on the internet! Wow!! Never heard of them, but what a wonderful experience to share with your children explaining the death and resurrection of Christ. I'm going to send the recipe to my younger brothers who still have young children in the home. It might be too late this year, but they can do it in years to come!!

Hi all! Has once again taken me forever to read the blog.
We had a great day. Went to Zach's soccer game, had lunch out, then Jack and I kept Zach while his parents went to the grocery store and Easter shopped. Zach and I practiced picking up tiny cubes with pinchers (fine motor skill therapy) Then we drew pictures of the whole family and wrote their names. Again, practicing holding the pencil correctly. After that we went outside and blew bubbles! Got lots of loving time in!

Can hear thunder in the distance here and have been glancing at the weather map on my laptop. So far it is still south and west of us. It may miss us, but it is slow moving and see they are indicating tornadoes.

Well, good grief, I went shopping and took the time to shampoo the carpet--yes, again, and a whole string of comments have appeared.
I see we've had another visit from our eagles.

Read all the comments about Truder's name. I have my opinions, but I want to say this first. To the newbies, this blog is so very close and tied together with sincere friendships. Disagreements and arguments do not happen and never will. We laugh, we tease, and we support. Yes, we have our differences and different opinions but we show respect for each other. So, do not be concerned about that problem arising.
Now, my opinion. I will not call him T____ bird again. I promise! ☺ LOL But, I smile when Sharon says Jerk!! (That is what he is, not his name!) And, he will always be Truder to me. Once I call someone or something by a name, it is just hard to change.
And, I still want a t-shirt that says TEAM LIBERTY!!!

I think we all agree about our appreciation and love for nature and the creatures we watch every day.
I have talked about my blog friends with my other friends, especially the bridge group, and they say that there is something good about a group that comes together because of an appreciation of nature. I think so too.
As I said before, Bette called me to say thank you for your prayers for her. She was so touched that someone would do that for her.
When we got home we finished planting the bulbs. Then I came in and cooked and prepared approx 3 dozen deviled eggs for tomorrow. We are going back to Michael's after church. There will be 10 adults and 5 kiddos. I love it when I have all three of my grandboys together.
Funny thing, I went online looking for eagle names . . . yes, I found some. And at the top of the list is "Liberty." Bittersweet. Brings tears to my eyes.
Glad she is doing well, Shirley.
Bette reminded me that she is "much older" (her words) than I am. She is one active lady. Swims regularly.
We will have ham, potatoes and squash tomorrow. And what we used to call "walking salad"--carrot sticks, etc. with dip. Oh, I need to pick up a roasted chicken. Rus does not like ham, so I usually get a chicken for him.
Must still catch up. I don't like the name "turd" either.
I know most of us are loyal to Lib but we must accept the possibility that he won't return next breeding season. Since he is RUDE to Belle, I'd like to submit "Rudy" as an alternative.

We have had so much rain that we cannot get into the garden to plant anything. By the time the gound is dry enough, it will be too late to plant spinach and lettuce (the heat and bright sun of May and June will make them bolt). I don't know how Megan is able to get anything in the ground, she lives very nearby and gets nearly the same amount of rain.
Whomever is doing the RAIN DANCE, Please stop! I think it may be Norma;)

That is gross, Judy ! I know the feeling. I missed many a holiday during my 20 years at Harrah's Laughlin Casino and Hotel. We always found another day of the week to celebrate and made it work.

Stan and I always had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner sometime Easter week. We liked having that menu a couple of times a year and thought Easter a good time for giving thanks !

We are going to Busch Gardens tomorrow took the day off Jordyn school is closed and Angie thought it would be a good idea -so I put in for a day off about three months ago and almost forgot about it until was reminded when I looked at my schedule I couldn't remember why I as for day off LOL until Angies reminded me Last year we had a year pass and was nice we went about 4 times wanted to go more but didn't work out We are going to buy another pass makes so much more sense to get on then can go all year long Gotta leave BBL at lunch

and though I think my eyes were fooling me, I THOUGHT I saw a Bald Eagle fly over while I was driving..but cars were behind me and I could not really check it out !
