Belle up with a lot of wing flapping, Lib just dropped in...can see them calling to each other. Off she went. Egg cup looks nice and dry, just a couple little pieces of snow fell in when she got up. Lib doing doing an egg roll, he got the eggs away from the tiny snowballs that fell in.
Can ya tell it's him? He doesn't fill the nice bowl she made.
I'm lacking memory RAM (in my head) too ... Can't remember who said what a sweet Dad Lib is, think it was Margy or Megan, how delicately he rolls the eggs and does his sitting duty. Then I read where he was MIA yesterday! ☺
Belle is still sitting tight on her snowy nest this morning. And it doesn't look like she moved around much in the night either. She's so smart, keeping the snow off of her dear egglets.
Oh darn, playing catchup again. See that it is LIB and they've already made a switch. I'm already multitasking toooooo much. hahaha I see the foot prints in the snow now.
Well, I checked on TH this morning. She was spread eagled last night when the cam came on because it looked like a mouse had run across the back rock.
Then, last night at around 11:23PST she laid an egg outside the bowl! Steff thought she had 2 already. It took her over 2 hours to get the egg into the egg cup. She had trouble getting it over the edge of the egg cup that was built up.
Hey Paula I was watching a mouse in the TH nest the other morning and the adult didn't even go after it. Wow - poor Steff - that was some mission... Why would the female lay the egg outside the cup?
So she stood there for about and hour over the egg, then finally went back into the bowl and incubated the other egg...took her 2 hours to get the egg into the nest cup
Good sunny after-the-storm morning! About 5" here. Bill has already plowed driveway and brought in my papers. Mai did a couple of laps around the yard. Fire is built back up...and I'm thinking about what to eat!
All looks well in our nest, and so glad that K82 got her 2nd egg into that egg cup!
Lynne, I am worried about you. Like Andy said....meds should be making you better, not worse. :(
OMHeavens! Can we call her Katy Too??? Did they post the video or her getting it back in?
You guys are going to have to teach me how to enter links and write in bold on this blog -- and take pictures of the nest. Do we take pics from the still cam?
Andy, I hope you're feeling better.
I'm taking Kate to the Orthopedist today so he can read her MRI then we'll know what's going on.
Thank you Lord for minimal snow, K-82's egg, for our Belle & Lib and all who need your healing.
Good morning everyone. Stopping in to say Hi and then on with a busy day. Pulling up the pop up cam :-). Haven't even read to see if I will see snow. IF I do I will close the cam until its over. I don't watch it snow at the nest anymore.
LORI, I don't know the manufacture or maker of the eagle canes, but you can buy one at the gift shop at NCTC for $14.00. I love mine...get compliments everywhere I go. People tend to pay more attention to the cane than my infirmity...and that's the way I want it!
19° here in Nestville, going up to 32°....No, it's 23° now. We have 4 or 5 inches of snow and I need to take GG for a 'do' today and the Soup Kitchen looms ahead. Don't know what to do cause I DON'T drive in the snow! Gene has to go in to cook Chili and tend to other things, so he can't be my driver:( MTBR
Four Americans taken hostage by Somali pirates off East Africa were shot and killed by their captors Monday, the U.S. military said, the first time that sea bandits have killed U.S. hostages.
WHAT ON EARTH IS THIS WORLD COMING TO? Makes you want to just stay at home and not venture out anywhere!
Good Morning! Thought I'd see how Belle is doing while waiting for my coffee to do. Paula, thanks for the video of K82--it's awesome! Glad her egg finally got to the egg cup! Phew! Glad Megan's greenhouse made it through the night, and Megan too, for that matter! Golly, it's cold here this morning. Only 41 right now, and there's a breeze, so seems even colder. Sure is nice to see some sunshine at the nest, and an actual eagle, not an "eagle-shaped icicle!" Shirley, glad you have the day off today. Enjoy! Will be praying for and thinking of Luna today. Well, think my coffee is ready. Better go get it before it's cold. Will check back in here a little later, when it's a bit warmer. Computer is in the coldest room in the house! Oh--hope Lynne got some quality rest, and feels better today! If not, Lynne, please call the doctor! Later, alligators! :o]

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 252 of 252It is good to know that the snow has stopped. Thanks.
There was a split and I didn't even notice.
Howdy Ladies. It's good to know there's someone here making early checks.
That goes for you too MemaJo.
...and Lynne2 and Ms Bookworm.
Thanks Megan - I left last night at 9!
Hey BEagle - I didn't notice that split either - was kinda lost for a second.

OMG - your right Paula! He doesn't fill the bowl. Great clue!
You're awesome Madam Eaglelet Momster!

Actually, he wasn't as MIA as we thought, he was in in the morning, and late yesterday. Belle was fine on the nest.
Ohh just got a look at two babies at NBG... so sweet Third egg still not hatched. Suppose to be today.
Good morning eagle peeps. Lynne -- my goodness, get weel soon, honey. Hate to hear you are still under the weather.
Great view of NBG eaglets getting breakfast.
Good morning Beagle, Lori and Paula. I'll bet Lib was probably very close yesterday and we just couldn't see him.

Hi sUSAn!

LOL Susan, you do need new RAM. That's the BWE nest eaglets eating ☺
Lori -- you are always one of the EARLY BIRDS on the blog.
I've been off for a few days and this is my first day back to work. arrgghhhhhh At least we don't have snow here!
hahahahahahahahah Paula -- more RAM for my head. Boy, my coworkers are gonna love me today!!!!!
Yeppers, says Blackwater right up there at the top of the page ;-)
Hey Paula I was watching a mouse in the TH nest the other morning and the adult didn't even go after it. Wow - poor Steff - that was some mission... Why would the female lay the egg outside the cup?
Shower time. BBILW
Don't know Lori. They said she got up and looked uncomfortable, did a couple of poop shoots, then the egg just popped out!
Here's the observation.
TH ... 11:23pm ... Looks like K-82 just laid another egg.
She was very restless ... went potty twice ... then hesitated going back onto the bowl.
Had a bit of bother with the video feed not streaming ... and going Offline ...
Then an egg popped out!
But it is behind her tail ... and she is over the bowl .. looks exhausted.
So she stood there for about and hour over the egg, then finally went back into the bowl and incubated the other egg...took her 2 hours to get the egg into the nest cup
Oh my Gosh, we're lucky to have that egg - sure hope it's okay. Poor mommy k-82.
We really have to go out there sometime. Those nests are so beautifully located. Imagine if those eagles had to pay rent?!?! ☺
The sun is shining here, nice to see it on the nest.
Egg roll, wiggle wiggle
Here's the video of K82 laying the egg last night
Egg #2 for TH?

Gracias Paula for posting the K82 video link.
Have a great day everyone.
Lynne take care of yourself - get some rest.
Wanda - who makes the eagle canes? I may have to get one for Kate.
BBL - hopefully. ☺
Belle just arrived.
Beautiful Belle and here comes Lib.
Good Snowy Morning....
The snow blowers are clearing my deck and my driveway.......
Lib flew out, Belle wiggled down onto the eggs.
Good morning,
Looks like a changing of the guard.
Heard a chirp and saw both for a moment.
No school for me today. Hunter has a two-hour delay. My "no school" call came at 4:57 this morning.
Yep, someone at NCTC hit the sound reset.
So happy to see sunshine and only about 5 instead of 8 or 9 inches of snow. Once again Belle did good through the night.
Fantastic news or more so once in a life time news about the egg outside the egg cup at TH. Video was awesome.
Lori, thanks for the recommendation. Kathryn is taking Luna to an animal eye specialist in Fairfax.
Luna is not seeing this morning. We will have to wait and see what the doctor thinks.
Have to get ready to take Hunter to school.
Thanks for the TH link, Paula. Interesting.
I am hearing geese at our nest.
Good morning everyone. Stopping in to say Hi and then on with a busy day. Pulling up the pop up cam :-). Haven't even read to see if I will see snow. IF I do I will close the cam until its over. I don't watch it snow at the nest anymore.
GOOD MORNING...
WHAT AN IDDY BIDDY SNACK!
What great parents Lib and Belle are, and a loving couple:)
