Hope makes some of the weirdest noises sometimes! My dogs are starting to get used to hearing bears and eagles in the house! Used to make them bark their heads off!
somehow I remembered overnight that sometimes at NCTC they have training classes for law enforcement which might have something to do with what everyone was hearing last night....last year's exercise included some of that hollering, I'll let you know if I hear of anything else

well, that would make sense, Margy, but wish they would watch the calender....some people there at NCTC, make such a fuss about not going near the nest, at certain times of the year, like it is sacred ground, and they watch you like a hawk, so to speak. A few years ago we were told under no circumstances do they ever go near that nest for any reason when the eagles were getting nestorations done, and incubation, and of course till they fledge, and look how it has changed, even going up in the tree in January, to change the cam they way they wanted it...and they think a few people coming to the nest with binoculars are going to disturb them

Okay, had I remembered earlier I could probably have assuaged some concerns about last night's sounds at the nest, and I am sorry that I did not think about it sooner
Steve has informed me that it was a training exercise, far away from the nest, on another part of campus; the nest microphone seems to pick up and carry the sound but the nest and the nesting process are safe, no action was near the nest
There are serious and technical ongoing training missions at NCTC throughout the entire year, and I think we can be confident that the Nesting Eagles are very important to their wildlife missions as well

Another osprey at BWO
GOOD MORNING...
I'm glad Steve got back with Margy so quickly on the shooting last night, but, I'm like Lynn...poor timing. Belle was definately affected by those gunshots. She was nervous and restless. I do have movement in the nest, just no sound and the circling arrow. The movement is almost robotic, but still, it's something.
No JACK DANIELS for me last night, just iced tea, but I would not have used the frogs for bait, I would have had their legs for a snack!;)

My live feed is being a poop this morning...

Poor Jenn has a black eye in addition to all of the scrapes, bruises and lacerated chin. She looks awful....and probably feels just as bad. Kids shouldn't have to hurt!

Glad to hear an explanation for the gunshots near the nest last night. Sure hope they don't make a habit of it! The sound really seems to carry a long way. Don't understand how they can think all that noise is OK, and then be so skittish about folks with binoculars and cameras visiting the nest!

My Denise fell A** over Applecart on her bike, going down a steep gravel covered hill, when she was 11 or 12, darn near tore her knee cap off. Oh such bruising. Still has scars, many year later:(

Michael took a tumble too off his bike. We were on a family ride. I had Laurel in a baby seat on my bike. Michael was about 7 or 8. He lost control coming down a hill. I had to carefully park my bike and remove Laurel before getting to Michael. Scared me to death. He had a little scratch on his nose, that is all!!! Jack had to ride on ahead to home to get the truck and load Michael's bike. He was too shook up to continue on home.
Dana, I don't think anyone knows, yet, why we have so many of us that can't get the live feed the way it was meant to be. Hope someone is looking into it for us. Little Palmer will hatch tomorrow or Sunday and some of us won't be able to see or hear that event:(:(
Dustin took a bad tumble from his bike a year or two ago. He slammed into a huge boulder and as he lay there, a crowd gathered around him. As Karla was on her way home from work, she saw the crowd and wondered what was going on...stopped her car and there layed Dustin! Can't imagine the feelings she experienced.

Michael had a bike handlebar poke him in the eye when he was about 13-14, had a huge shiner, from eyebrow to middle of cheek, couldn't see out of his eye for darn near a week, looked like a black baseball on his face.

I guess we all know of bike mishaps. As a youngster I had a pretty bad spill downhill and not hitting the brakes! Ran right into the side of the barn/shed. I have been thinking of Jen and I hope the kids don't tease her too much at school and I sure hope she has a funny excuse for her facial injuries. I wish she could get up her nerve and go to the dance!
At least Outdoor is aware of it.. I refreshed but it didn't work either.

I did go out in the sun with my sunglasses I always have to wear--you know the ones they give you when you have catract surgery. I call them my "Hollywood Look" lol. It did not seem to bother me like it had...come on drops work please keep it up. I'm going to PRAISE GOD ahead of time for healing my eyes. Thank you LORD.

ADVICEDon't call Adobe for help. I've been on hold for 1 hour and 29 minutes now.
It says everywhere I go that I have sucessfully installed and have Adobe Flash Play 10..whatever version. Although in control panel and add/remove programs. It shows it there but does not show any space it has taken.???? Got Me By The Drawers!!

I wouldn't be worrying about my computer, the problem is definitely with the live feed itself. I agree with Paula, there's a lot of stuff running on the cam page, and the Sheptown weather is wrong even if you update it, it ain't 34° here.
Well the cam for me has gone from bad to worse! Just black now and a spinning circle...
Dana - it is an outdoor channel problem, not ours!
Maybe that means they are working on it!
OK, live feed up here now, got the ad, then with some clicking on the play/start button a few times got it going, but no sound.
It runs about a minute and a half, then stops again. I give up...

Remember falling off my bike in my grandma's alley----she asked me if I hurt the alley!! That really hurt more than the injury---too young to understand her approach! Will always remember sitting on the potty lid while she dug little gravels out of my knee with tweezers. She missed some---they are still there, 50 years later!

My live feed has been running 8:31 min.
I had left it on when it was doing nothing and ate pizza and now that I look at it - I think it just must have started.

At 1:00 in our nest - is it a shadow, some fluff or is it a large fish?
I can't see it on the still cam but there is something on the live feed.

Really confused - Timer on Live feed is still ticking away HOWEVER on the still cam our eagle is facing 1:00 and on the live feed is facing 4:00....
I think I am going to play solitaire for awhile! I give!

Good evening! Ran some errands today, then came home and worked in the yard. Thankfully there are areas of our yard that high and just muddy...not a swamp. Got a lot done.
My cam has been up and running for 33 minutes. Belle's eyes are glowing in the dark.
Good Luck Loretta - Answer me this - If I am facing the moon - and my direction said NNW - to the right of the moon - This was a steady light but pretty high up.. and it was traveling towards the north...... I don't really think that was the ISS....

ISS sighting for me, perfect, nice and bright....comes by one more time tonight but only for a minute, this was a 5 minute viewing

I refreshed my live feed and yepper I can see her shinning eyes just like on the still cam. I guess we are in business. Hope it keeps running

Guess we missed it, but lovely pinkish sunset, dark blue sky, moonie & one star below it.
Jo, moon was sort of at SW, so North would be to the right.
We did see a couple planes probably. Oh well, back to work.Other lady is having trouble w/stupid 'puter cutting machines, etc., so I'm waiting for stuff to prepare for banners. Will finish next week.
Keep an eye on OK tomorrow. Blizzard predicted in ok. Some areas might get as much as 10 inches. Hope not. Our temp is supposed to start dropping some time tonight, with chance of snow tomorrow afternoon and evening. Actually we should not get any accumulation. Laurel might get as much as an inch.
Talked with my sister, Sharon, they are in Amarillo this evening. They are headed to New Mexico in their RV. Said it was already cold and up to 4 inches on snow expected. Excuse me....IT IS SPRING!!!!!! %@$*^$##@#$%

Natalie has had a rough past 2 days. She is having some difficulties healing. In addition her sugar levels keep spiking up into the 300's. It has been very hard on her both physically & emotionally.
