My gbaby Jenn took an over-the-handlebars spill on her bike----pretty banged up. Loose tooth and laceration on her chin. Lots of abrasions and bruises. Bringing her to me to assess.....phone pic looks like chin needs sutures or glue---steri-strips aren't going to do it. My heart is crying.

I just got on Eagle Friends and haven't read comments, not even this am'ers.
Went to Eye Doctor (isn't there a song that has something about eye doctor) Oh well, anyhow went to eye dr. and 3 times a day on a new type of eye drops for both eyes. I go back in a month. Told him if my eyes were NOT better by then. I want him to give me back my own eyeballs from whomever he gave them too. He seems to think both eyes being so dry are blocking whatever it's called that makes the tears. We will see????
I do remember years back my family doctor thought I had Lupus and gave me something to make tears.
OH Lynn-Hedgie prayers for Jenn...those early riding days can be a bummer.

Wishing a successful ISS sighting tonight.
Had a not great day. Off to do dry cleaner, groceries, etc., flat tire on highway, Darth arrived to save the day. So, after a 1 hr delay I was back on the road. Got home at 6:15 (4 hours after leaving), made dinner, cleaned up, and now trying to catch up with all of you. I think grading papers would have been less provoking.

WOW!!! Just checked in to see about ISS. Was outside & saw a smallish white moving object (not blinking) that came from the north (heading south) & as it got higher in the sky, disappeared! Maybe that was it! I thought I was too late.
OK that's 2 of us that saw it disappear....I hope there is a logical explanation for it.

Loretta, I just saw it a few minutes ago, too! It was scheduled to fly over at 8:58 and it did...exactly. WNW in our area. It just disappeared into thin air and saw it no more. Gene said the sun wasn't reflecting on it anymore.

ISS was only scheduled for about a minute....it will just disappear all of a sudden, even if the sky is crystal clear...tomorrow should be a longer sighting, I think...I was watching a new show on HGTV, and wanted to see the end of it so did not go out....
There have been about 4 different times that gunshots have been heard.
This is very concerning! Don't like it at all. Been going on from 7:00 to 9:00...and not sure if it has stopped yet or not.

BTW at the zoo meeting last night, we got a report from Tai's keeper of how well he did on the trip to China..he ate all 50 lbs of bamboo in the 14 hour trip...she was getting ready to ask for some of Mei Lan's bamboo, since she was not eating it, but they were getting ready to land. Once they were on the tarmac, her responsibilities for him ended. Mei's keeper staid longer since Mei was having adjustment problems.. Poor thing was just
settling down when the Chinese New Year started and all the fireworks, but she is doing much better now....Nicholle was happy about the car endorsement, it will mean he will be taking care of for a long time...

I made the mistake of turning on Live cam---got the property ad, but no nest~~~froze up everything again even when I deleted the Error windows.
That will be last on my techie list. Talked to Dell again today from Monday's call & now can burn CD's, howevcer NOT thru my Corel photo which does all the back-ups. I think that system may have been blocked by what Dell fixed.They transferred me to a software techie, but he wanted $89.I could buy a whole new program for less than that I think! No Way. I'm gonna email Corel.
The next techie trick will be to try & get cucckoo to stop singing at 20 min of the hour! We might just leave it alone---have other bongers going on the hour!Thx for listening ☺

Nice thing about ISS, it keeps coming back around pretty often....four of five days to watch, a week or so no sightings, and so on like that. I think it actually orbits the earth 23 times a day or something like that...I think....

I heard AND saw the most beautiful Eastern Meadowlarks at Swinging Bridge, (lots of yellow on them, my favorite color) -they were actually perched on tree branches, where usually I see them in fields or on hay bales.
Also red-winged blackbirds. Funny usually I think they are saying Congareeeeeee but tonight it sounded like Burger King....
also lots of peepers out there at SB -
and maybe that one osprey, which I have seen there before

He really could have hit the river which would not be good... Bad thing was that his expensive camera lens bit the mud along with him... He said he had to laugh the whole way back home but I bet he was crying over that lens.

Can't remember who asked aobut flooding but Yes the rivers are all pretty high and of course with melting snow and rains flooding is always a concern. Snadbagging in advance of the threat seems ot be what many folks and establishments are doign. Then hoping they really didn't need to do all that work. I live up 22 blocks from the river so for me all is safe enough.

I remember a few years ago, when Donna was still alive, Mattie was on a trick bicycle that had no breaks. Her mother and I told her not to ride the bike, then we went to Wal-Mart. After getting in the store (we didn't have a cell phone at the time) I got paged by Donna. Mattie had wrecked on that bike and broken her arm.
Well, I fell asleep. Bad thing to be on the computer in a comfortable chair.
Margy, sorry you fell in the mud. When I go out I have to walk very carefully. We have a sidewalk that goes all around the house. In back, where the water is flowing over the sidewalk, it is underwater and green with slime. Has caused to me fall before.

Went fishing this morning but after a short time I ran out of worms.
Then I saw a cottonmouth snake with a frog in his mouth. Frogs are good bass bait.
Knowing the snake couldn't bite me with the frog in his mouth I grabbed him right
behind the head, took the frog, and put it in my bait bucket.
Now the dilemma was how to release the snake without getting bit. So, I grabbed
my bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a little whiskey in its mouth. His eyes rolled
back, he went limp.
I released him into the lake without incident and carried on fishing using the frog.
A little later, I felt a nudge on my foot. There was that same snake with two frogs
in his mouth.
Life is good in Tennessee.

Tom and I watched Precious last night. That was such a powerful movie. Lots of profanity and ugliness, but a real message. I don't know if a movie has ever touched me like that one did. We never know the path others have taken in this life and sometimes we can be so quick to judge others. Not for kids for sure but I highly recommend it!
