he eagle shake off a few times and leave. Just sort of came back but either blew off or left again. Lynn had posted on FB that sun was coming out so I turned on the cam.
OMG, just saw eagle wings at back of nest & big gust seemed to blow to the right. Was in well when I turned on about 1/2 hour ago! Haven't been on all day, 'cuz didn't wanna look. We can't see out our windows. Kepp going out & sweeping one I can get to!
I meant she in relation to eagle. I don't know if it got blown back as it tried to approach nest or just chose to not land back in there. I did see stick fall a minute or so ago so could be up on limb. Egg is obviously cold and up protected right now though.
picking at snow thinking for sure about the mess Mother Nature has sent their way. Appears to be watching somethign else in area has not sat down on egg but is hovering over it. Back up and out of nestbowl :-(
picking at snow thinking for sure about the mess Mother Nature has sent their way. Appears to be watching somethign else in area has not sat down on egg but is hovering over it. Back up and out of nestbowl :-(
Hi snowbirds!! Home from the doctor and grocery store. Been reading the blog and watching the nest. Saw the big flopping and hopping, but then Belle left and has not come back.?????
Muscle in my back is still sore and threatning to spasm, but it is better. I think it is the working on the slides that does it as I feel it after a while when I am working.
Great doctors visit....all numbers and counts are great. Walking is really helping with that. Now a bone density test in a couple of months, but that should be good too. Never had a problem there.
What's up eagle came and is gone again. Whoops another, Belle, I think just came back. IN and OUT, can not keep up. But the cup looks good.
Shirley - that's a most accurate description of our nest...mashed taters, with a hole for gravy...just wish it was all as easy as gravy for our eagles.
So how many inches of snow total has fallen on this Mother Bird while she tries to start a family this year. This is so rediculously sad. I would just like to see 2 adults now that I have cam back on. I need to know our pair is safe in all this wind I hear :-(
Wasn't quite as bad outside as I thought, but I pretty much had my back to the wind. Refilled 2 feeders and threw some seed in the snow and under the table on the deck.
3 ft drift or more at the front door...got the walk shoveled, just a one blad width.
Megan, sure hope you gh can withstand this storm, I so enjoy looking at your beautiful flowers on your blog. I'm especially fond of the pink peonies, though they usually are underground over the winter. I have a few, but none of that shade of pink.
Jo, hubby asked me if I wanted to go out for supper and of course I said YES!! Don't get out much and so look forward to someone else's cooking and clean ups. Guess we'll have to wait for this crap to go away.
Judy and Ceil in the slammer? At least they'll get 3 squares and Ceil will decorate their abode. ;o)
Going to try to warm up by moving away from the screen. bbl
Building collapses are mounting everywhere........bad news. Heard that all area Food Lions have been shut after newest one here started sagging (roof). Also heard that there was an evacuation of out little town of Hedgesville, but don't know why......MTBR.
so can anyone answer my question. I don't know how much fresh snow you got but know you got 20 to 30 inches last week. Just really was seriously wondering how many inches of snow Belle has shaken off tryign to keep her nest ready for a family.
Well said, Paula. I wish it could be gravy for our eagles. Life in the wild is usually not gravy for sure. It hasn't been gravy for the humans, either.
Have you seen the egg? It seemed that they did not give up before until the eggs disappeared. Somebody said there was an egg roll awhile ago, so maybe it is still in the cup.
Glo, we have gotten about 12 to 14 additional inches of snow since yesterday, and the nest area may be very similiar, cause it's not that far from us. That's unofficial, of course, cause when we go out we have shovels, not rulers.
Ok so like 4 feet or so of heavy snow as you describe it for her to lift off with her wings . I just can hardly believe what is happening out there to all of you and tho the wildlife and this pair of eagles in particular. It is all so very hard to comprehend. Now i start to worry that with grocery stores closing food will even become an issue. Do you all have any 4 wheel drives so you can get to and help each other with food and firewood if needed. You got to have food and heat of some kind in all of this.
I know you don't have rulers I don't take mine out when I go to shovel either but I do know the weather folks give you some idea of the measurable snow as it falls.
I hope your GH is holding up oK Now the wind makes me nervous for that too unless you have been able to get most of the snow off.
It must be awfully close to hot chocolate and cookie time.
And yes, how did you know, I just made chocolate chip cookies. Gh is fairly snow free, we are letting a little lay on it, to keep some weight to protect it from wind gusts. We are definitely out of the time when we have to worry about it collapsing from snow. It's still snowing here, but much lighter.
I quite imagine your are, Megan. We have been so concerned for you. It is frustrating knowing how much work you are having to do to save the gh and we sit here and can do nothing.
Megan, love those beautiful peonies! Makes me temporarily forget what's outside. I can almost smell them. Thanks for reminding me this too will pass. God bless!
Okay, so Tom was trying to get the truck up the hill, slid back off and got hit down on the avenue. He was okay, he is the one who called Sissy. She has gone down there now. I will let you all know more when I do.
Wow Sharon - I was wondering if you even tried to make it. So glad you are there and hopefully the roads will be much better when it comes time to travel home to Bedford.
Got a typical snow story. Son of our friends in Paw Paw lives in No VA. After the first storm the other day, all of the homeowners on the block came out to help each other shovel the sidewalks. THEN, the plow truck came down the street & dumped the snow over onto their walk! Someone asked why?? Driver said that's what we're told to do!! Think I'd be calling somebody!
Jo I see some of the yellow snowplows in Frederick Md have smiley faces on them Wishful thinking also see funds are low to allow for hired on outside contractors :(
hi ya, been watching TV, panda napping, eating lunch, taking some pictures....if I had to escape from the house, the back door is completely impassible onto the deck, snow drift up to my chest, and unfortunately, part of the cord of wood we got back in December is there...so it is what it is....but have my eagle blanket, so I'm snug...as a bug in a rug....
Margy, I joined facebook, but only check it once every couple days, I'm just not into it...just keeping up with this blog and the cams I watch, take up more time then I should be allowing .
I understand completely Helen, I cannot keep up just with what you just mentioned. haven't been able to open the many links posted here the last few days.. might backtrack and pick them up - sometime, in the spring!
well, I'm sure they will be higher this year than last....this is just so incredible to me, I'm seeing it, but like a weird dream, as the storm pulls up the coast I can see the winds picking up alot here.
Margy, I read all the posts thru my emails, makes it faster, but I don't use a cheat sheet, so alot of times I don't commet on something because, by the time I catch up, I have forgotten...
just found this on the Deadliest Catch condolence page for Phil Harris, thought it was pretty....
Fisherman's Prayer
God grant that I may live to fish, until my dying day, And when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray, When in the Lord's safe landing net, I'm peacefully asleep, That in his mercy I be judged, As big enough to keep.
WV sUSAn, thanks for reminding me about the mojito, might be a good way to relax, I get I guess like everyone, kind of stressed, when there is a threat of power-outage, or that if someone gets sick on our block right now, there is now way in...I would have been a terrible pioneer.
Yeah, we are back in some heavy bands of snow here and at nest. Bob Ryan channel 4-says several more hours before it's over. We are going to use every drop of kero we have.
Sharon, glad you got there OK, sorry about Tom's truck.
Margy so sorry you have to go to work tonight, please be careful!
Not sure what we are going to do about work tomorrow, it's still snowing and blowing here. Finally saw the neighbor 2 doors up get out and snowblow, but that's been it, other than earlier this morning.
Will went back out to shovel snow. I hope it is worthwhile. The wind is blowing snow all around. I thought maybe it is snowing again, but I'm not sure. It doesn't really matter because snow is going up, down, and sideways.
I amuse myself by watching the counties' DOT cams, can tell there is a power-outage right up River road close to the beltway, and see people walking and driving, don't know where they are going, from what I see on the cams the businesses and restaurants are closed.
Well either the gorilla tape worked or my thread but Jim is still in the house. Jo next time you see him bring your eagle can I showed him the cartoon you sent about who is tired of snow and he asked who sent it. I said Jo. He said Oh she is on the computer all day like you
Mits - I bet they are walking to Sheetz or 7-11 or Highs Or it could be that cabin fever really settled in. Catonsville family is going to a Blizzard Party a few yards across the street! They are snowed in good as their street is a dead end and no where to put the snow!
well the streets they are on, don't have any of those stores....the McDonald's on River Road was closed, which is a pretty big street near me running into the District...
Topper (weather guy on DC channel) just said that if you have power now, chances are you won't lose it!!!! Sure praying that he knows what he's talking about!!!
Hi, Thelma. You dog-sitting???? Hi, Buddy! Thanks for info, Dana. Carolyn said a friend posted it on FB, but had heard it from someone else.....bet someone misunderstood; they were probably referring to the high school being used for evacuation center.
This storm is relentless the way it keeps circling back. We are back in some heavy bands of snow. Coming down fast, 1" an hour kind of snow. Wind is gusting.
These big guys of the street decided earlier to dig out. Well they finally made it....you know 4 wheel drive..now he is stuck into a snowbank. Oh I am so smart me move snow and me just get in 4 wheel and drive anywhere >>DUH NOT!
That's my dog Buster and that picture was taken on Crystal Beach, TX, which got wiped out by Hurricane Ike (see, we have our fun disasters and weather here :) ). Buster's awesome and awfully spoiled.
I guess I'm just hoping that anything can help right now. Prayers, I think!
Going to be headed in to TV show soon but wanted to let you know that today our 24 yr old Tigress (cat) passed on while in her sleep! I kept praying for St Francis to take her while she slept and he did. It was her age and she was not in any pain - she has just be failing for the past month. Tigress was always with us but was really Aaron's pet when he was about 7 or 8. We still have Scar and Marvin to give us joy. They will miss her also I'm sure just as we will.
Looks so cold at the nest. Only prayers will help.
Not shoveled out. Will call a local teen tomorrow, I guess.
GW classes canceled tomorrow. Unheard of in my 20+ years there.
Paula, too late I suppose. Left over beef stew, salad, buttered toast. Now will be down to non-meat dishes like eggs, pizza, taco salad. No way to get to a store.
Sorry you have to work Margy. Please be careful.
Hi Becky and Buster.
Ceil, this is too much! Darth makes comments about blogging all the time yet he watches old movies all day (often through his closed eyelids) so he replays the same scenes a gazillion times. He could probably be a very successful understudy for most movies stars after 1930.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if Belle has been rolling an egg and NOT a snowball. Most of us have given up on these 3 eggs but there could be just a small miracle..... Please!
I used to be able to tag friends' videos or photos on FB and bring them to my page, but I don't know how to do that with this new format. Aaron recently placed 2 pics side by side on his page - A 7yr Old Aaron with his new kitten and then a 30 Yr Old Aaron with his older cat.
Good evening everyone - may I ask anyone in the WV area - do you normally get this much snow. How is Belle/Liberty - haven't looked at the cam tonight.
Mema Jo, read about your pet - very sorry to hear that, but sounded like Tigress had a good long loved life.
Hi Jo, so sorry to hear about your cat Tigress. Our pets are so unique and wonderful and it's tough when they go. Glad to hear she went peacefully, though.
Thanks Paula - I wondered because there is so much snow in a very short time - more like the winters north of the border. Checking the cam, wind sounds very strong - maybe blow away some surface snow from the nest. Checked the weather report supposed to be windy Thursday & sunny for Friday,Sat, Sunday. Belle/Liberty are the best example to us all about the value of perseverance & not giving up.
Commercial - Thanking all of you for your thinking of our Tigress. You're right that she had a good long loved life! Good way to put it Safire. Thanks everyone ((hugs))
and to dear Mema Jo and Ed and all the family, I am sorry that Tigress died, and know with all certainty that she enjoyed her time on the planet with your family so very much. She has crossed over that Rainbow Bridge peacefully...her illnesses and frailties are over xo ♥ (( hugs ))
I'm glad that it seems the Hedgesville evacuation was probably not a truism... maybe someone just said it seems like a ghost town and then someone assumed that it had been evacuated.... and it went from there hope so
have to tell you all about the sexiest pair of Camo Bibs I have on......have zipppers that go from the ankle all the way up to the Hip! lol....sexy, my butt !!
What you need is warm, Margy. Did I tell you that Kathryn said you didn't seem like the bib overalls type . . . that was the first night we met. You were all dressed up that night at dinner.
MeMa Jo Sigh I feel sorry to read about Tigress. I am sure she had the best home ever. I am glad she passed peacefully in the home she loved. That would be my wish for any of my pets to be honest with you. I surely pray for some good times on here. Tomorrow has got to be better in oh so many ways.

We are still stuck in a band of snow, wind is fierce as you can hear if you have live feed up.
Nest is MT.
Nest looks like a serving of mashed potatoes with a spot dug out for gravy.
Eagle off egg about 5 minutes now
eagle back sort of floated in Heading for nestbowl. Appears to be rolling egg.
picking at snow thinking for sure about the mess Mother Nature has sent their way. Appears to be watching somethign else in area has not sat down on egg but is hovering over it. Back up and out of nestbowl :-(

eagle in from left headed right to bowl area. Tush push from wind back up and out hmmmm

What???Off the egg again?
Eagles are getting blown off the nest. One left for 10 min. if my timer is right and saw one come from the right and go upwards.
Can that egg be viable left alone that long? Anyone?
Still trying to catch up .. bble
Eagle seems pensive but not on egg in bowl Just getting blown around in cold and possibly deciding what to do now.
up out of bowl sitting on side of nest. Doesn't look to good for our pair once again
Eagle off, standing to the right of the bowl.
Shirley - that's a most accurate description of our nest...mashed taters, with a hole for gravy...just wish it was all as easy as gravy for our eagles.

Oh my! This isn't good. Oh how I feel for our eagles.
Hope they are not giving up on# #3, but it looks that way. I was beginning to be hopeful.

Unofficial estimate here is 18-20".
I wonder how Megan is doing?
Dana, please stay upright and don't get hurt.

Glo - 6" last Tues, 24" Sat, probably 14" this time = about 4 ft of snow or so
Glo, we have gotten about 12 to 14 additional inches of snow since yesterday, and the nest area may be very similiar, cause it's not that far from us. That's unofficial, of course, cause when we go out we have shovels, not rulers.
Mits, Mits....wherefore art thou, Mits??
Know you aren't at the zoo!
Sun did not last long, but temp did go up to 21.
Wondering what the evacuation was at Hedgesville. Prayers for those involved.
I saw an egg roll earlier this morning, and a wiggle wiggle around 1:30, but that's all. Eagle has just been protecting egg. I haven't seen the egg.
Eagle gone again...egg may be down in the snow :(
Ok so like 4 feet or so of heavy snow as you describe it for her to lift off with her wings . I just can hardly believe what is happening out there to all of you and tho the wildlife and this pair of eagles in particular. It is all so very hard to comprehend. I hope your GH is holding up oK Now the wind makes me nervous for that too unless you have been able to get most of the snow off.
It must be awfully close to hot chocolate and cookie time.
It's 22° here, with the wind chill it feels like 10°.
Thanks for all the kind words about my gh, so far so good.
Good Afternoon NCTC friends and fans.
I've not watched this nest a lot before this season.
I love the sounds and the new cam ...but oh so bitterly saddened by the weather and conditions. What a heartbreak to see the nest buried in snow
Let's hope for the best for Belle and Liberty.
Megan - glad you can breathe easier for a little bit...
Lol, Glo, every person I see on tv has a yardstick. I think I lost mine in a snowbank earlier in the week.
Glo, haven't heard S'town totals, but Martinsburg is at 46" since friday. 15 miles distance.
Thank you all for the kind words:) Ya gotta be tired of hearing about my gh. I'm tired of thinking about it myself:)
They are still saying we will be getting snow tomorrow. Just trying to keep up with you! ha We might have an accumulation of an inch or two.
Think I need to wake up Jack to walk. He is snuggled under a blanket asleep. I have my heated lap blanket on.
Well all I can say is 2 things. I am glad there are chocolate chip cookies and I hope you never ever have to measure snow with yardsticks again.
Our eagles are somewhere safe and out of the wind I hope.
Hello, Joyce.
I quite imagine your are, Megan. We have been so concerned for you. It is frustrating knowing how much work you are having to do to save the gh and we sit here and can do nothing.
The greenhouse is your livelihood. Very important.
Megan, love those beautiful peonies!
Makes me temporarily forget what's outside. I can almost smell them.
Thanks for reminding me this too will pass.
God bless!
I put those peonies up cause I know they are snugly tucked under the snow now, it's quite good for them, like a warm blanket(or several blankets).
I am here safe and sound. The weather sucks but I am here. It was blue skies in Bedford and a whiteout in Bluefield.
Want to see a nest without snow and two eagles working on the nest. Go to Xcel Energy cam
Megan you know our prayers are with you and your gh and flowers.
Dang!! Sometimes words just don't seem like enough.
Megan, hope that you can rest in body and mind now. So much work....you've done good!
Going to take a Panda nap.
BBL.....I usually do not nap, but it is coming today!
Sharon, so glad you made it safe and sound---bet you are exhausted.
Looks like Belle is back
She is back down in the bowl
Okay, so Tom was trying to get the truck up the hill, slid back off and got hit down on the avenue. He was okay, he is the one who called Sissy. She has gone down there now. I will let you all know more when I do.
Wow Sharon - I was wondering if you even tried to make it. So glad you are there and hopefully the roads will be much better when it comes time to travel home to Bedford.
She sure is a die hard - love her!
Back in that bowl again..
My little junco flock is chowing down :)
Okay, so Tom is okay. The car hit his truck's tire so it didn't damage the truck, just the other feller's car. So . . . good ending!
Night light is on at the nest.
Good to know Tom is okay, Sharon.
Sharon, glad you managed your driving. Hope Tom didn't get too much damage! Guess you can't go anywhere!
We just put out more seed on snowbank, & everybody swooped down!
I keep trying to take pics thru frosty windows. Maybe will be modern art!
Is the truck driveable, Sharon?
Jo
I see some of the yellow snowplows in Frederick Md have smiley faces on them
Wishful thinking
also see funds are low to allow for hired on outside contractors
:(
Question, has anyone seen Liberty today? Isn't it the norm for the partner to sit on the egg while the other one is taking a break? Not so today here.
Just wondering.
I think our MaMa is dozing. She must need at least one panda nap herself.
at least there is no snow clinging to the gorilla tape on the nest tree trunk
I have seen lots of snowbirds around here the past week. Right now, there's a woodpecker out there.
hi ya, been watching TV, panda napping, eating lunch, taking some pictures....if I had to escape from the house, the back door is completely impassible onto the deck, snow drift up to my chest, and unfortunately, part of the cord of wood we got back in December is there...so it is what it is....but have my eagle blanket, so I'm snug...as a bug in a rug....
am very interested to hear more about the town of Hedgesville's evacuation...Hedgie ?
could it be no electricity in the entire town ? just a guess...
Hi Glo and all afternoon folks...
I need to get some shuteye soon..
had a small showing from the sun here, and a big showing from the parking lot snowplow guy ☺
Lady Belle is scootched down in the nest
you're short like I am Mits but that's still an awful lot of snow!
glad you are doing okay
wondering what our beloved electricity bills will be like during all this
Margy, I joined facebook, but only check it once every couple days, I'm just not into it...just keeping up with this blog and the cams I watch, take up more time then I should be allowing .
Loretta I haven't placed any comments but I have viewed and enjoyed your many pictures of the last few days
Margy, I read all the posts thru my emails, makes it faster, but I don't use a cheat sheet, so alot of times I don't commet on something because, by the time I catch up, I have forgotten...
Wind is whistling in my chimney. George is almost sitting on the keyboard. Five o'clock is feeding time. I am 25 minutes late!
I am going to put some dents in some pillows now
need to get back up around 930p to get things cleared out to drive to work, will check in later
taking prayers to bed with me for our many many needs here, and we get new ones by the moment
xo
just found this on the Deadliest Catch condolence page for Phil Harris, thought it was pretty....

Joyce, I have seen Lib today, but he does seem reluctant to incubate the egg in the snow.
The is really beautiful Mits.
Sun is shining here, but the wind is blowing big time and snow is drifting across the yard. I don't even want to open the door.
Nice poem, Mits.
WV sUSAn, thanks for reminding me about the mojito, might be a good way to relax, I get I guess like everyone, kind of stressed, when there is a threat of power-outage, or that if someone gets sick on our block right now, there is now way in...I would have been a terrible pioneer.
Sharon, so glad you're safe and Tom and his truck are undamaged. Stay warm, please.
Local news: evacuated a frat house at GW because of the flat roof and snow load. It's an old row house.
Can't get to feeding stations so just threw out some bread and seeds on top of the snow.
Just so grateful we all, so far, have heat and lights.
Grateful indeed. Wind is really gusting here and we are back in some heavy bands of snow.
Glad Tom is okay, Sharon, and you made your trip safely.
Margy, haven't heard anything about the evac....will watch Ch. 25 news at 6 and see if they say anything.
Thanks Paula for the info. Glad to see Belle back on the egg. I sure hope the snow lets up soon.
Poor Belle, she is zonked out.
3 Beautiful deer on the PIX PA woods
I thought they were so short looking but it is because the snow is so deep.
So glad that Tom did not get hurt, and that truck was spared, too.
I saw that post poem, Mits....it's truly lovely.
Watching poor Belle makes my heart hurt.
Yeah, we are back in some heavy bands of snow here and at nest. Bob Ryan channel 4-says several more hours before it's over. We are going to use every drop of kero we have.
Love the poem Mits.
I doubt we can even get into our parking lot at this point...don't expect our snow guy has been there yet...will call him after we decide.
Megan, that's what I've heard...snow until 9 or 10 tonight.
I think poor Belle is looking for a break.
Will went back out to shovel snow. I hope it is worthwhile. The wind is blowing snow all around. I thought maybe it is snowing again, but I'm not sure. It doesn't really matter because snow is going up, down, and sideways.
Very tired of nothing but Snow news.. I realize it may be necessary to get the info out but not all day long.
I have Criminal Minds new episode at 9
Hubby and I ate a very early dinner - wasn't even 5:00 I am trying to think of a snack for later.
Belle's head is raised - looking around - looks like snow on her beak.
Anyone cooking anything good for dinner tonight?
Making tater tot casserole here.
Nothing said about Hedgesville, Margy.
Don't know who gave that report to Carolyn.
Hello my fine eagle momsters and dadsters.
I amuse myself by watching the counties' DOT cams, can tell there is a power-outage right up River road close to the beltway, and see people walking and driving, don't know where they are going, from what I see on the cams the businesses and restaurants are closed.
just having a salad here, and some Light Ravioli with Spaghetti Sauce...:)
Hedgie and Margy I hit up all the people I know. They have nothing on anything happening at Hedgesville.
Well either the gorilla tape worked or my thread but Jim is still in the house.
Jo next time you see him bring your eagle can I showed him the cartoon you sent about who is tired of snow and he asked who sent it. I said Jo. He said Oh she is on the computer all day like you
Not cooking Paula, had Taco Bell, you?
Mits - I bet they are walking to Sheetz or 7-11 or Highs Or it could be that cabin fever really settled in.
Catonsville family is going to a Blizzard Party a few yards across the
street! They are snowed in good as their street is a dead end and no where to put the snow!
yeah, well just tell Jim you are on the computer to keep him off of it, cause he messes it up everytime he gets on....off to dinner..bbl, hopefully
BW update
02/10/10:
Weather Update
It appears our computer (that controls the cams) may have lost power at the Visitor Center during the storm.
Ceil I bet I'll get my cane out for that remark! lol
Shake off
Makes my heart hurt too Hedgie.
well the streets they are on, don't have any of those stores....the McDonald's on River Road was closed, which is a pretty big street near me running into the District...
I'm glad to hear that Dana. Thanks for investigating. Maybe Carolyn will know more later.
Hello T-Bird Hope all is well as can be expected down in Bedford!
Topper (weather guy on DC channel) just said that if you have power now, chances are you won't lose it!!!! Sure praying that he knows what he's talking about!!!
I might be on the computer all day but I learn alot. He watches old reruns of a show. He has had to see them all many times.
Things are okay here in Bedford Jo. The wind is gusting up to 60 mph. Wind chill is 0 to -10. Sure sounding scary out when the wind gusts.
Left for a couple of hours as I was so disappointed to see Belle off the nest.,
Was surprised to see her back on. She was just turning the egg.
We have already has some snow flurries here. Laurel called and the boys yelled "SNOW" Guess I should tell her not to let them say such nasty words.
Can not believe the wind on the cam.
Hi, Thelma. You dog-sitting???? Hi, Buddy!
Thanks for info, Dana. Carolyn said a friend posted it on FB, but had heard it from someone else.....bet someone misunderstood; they were probably referring to the high school being used for evacuation center.
Heading for sofa....optical migraine. Getting hard to see to type. BBL.
Hedgie hope it lets up soon hum am I talking about your migraine or the snow OK BOTH...
Hedgie - That is such a broad statement. Especially with the winds starting to increase. Easy to have falling limbs now.
Ceil That is what happens when you are married 46 years! Been there & Done that! But I wouldn't trade it for any lol
Another snow day tomorrow...just can't see trying to open...
It just looks and sounds so cold at the nest! This may be a naive question, but could the snow act as an igloo of sorts and help keep the egg warm?
I just hope the snow stops and you get a little warmth soon! Sounds like everyone's hunkered down pretty well. Stay safe and warm!
This storm is relentless the way it keeps circling back. We are back in some heavy bands of snow. Coming down fast, 1" an hour kind of snow. Wind is gusting.
Becky, I am not an expert, but I don't think the snow can help the egg. The other two eggs got lost in the snow.
Becky - we aren't sure whether the snow is insulating or freezing the egg..
Belle has her head tucked back.
Lolly - it's Ok for the boys to be excited about snow :)
Bless you Belle, she just sneezed.
Megan - it's that low off the coast, sending the snow and winds our way
Not sure what I am eating for dinner...been snacking a lot today, probably just snack my way to bedtime...
These big guys of the street decided earlier to dig out. Well they finally made it....you know 4 wheel drive..now he is stuck into a snowbank. Oh I am so smart me move snow and me just get in 4 wheel and drive anywhere >>DUH NOT!
Yeah, I see that on the radar, Paula. What a drag.
Paula knows more than I do, Becky.
The snow has stopped here....the wind isn't bad at all. The electric is still on, the porch roof is still holding.
We have Daisy locked in a padded cell....
LOL!
Welcome Joyce and Becky! Nice to see new faces! Love both of your dog pictures!
Going to elevate foot a little higher see if that will help more.
Be safe out there if you have to go out. Hopefully you don't.
oh Dana, I pray you are feeling better....(((HUGS)))
Back out we go...@%#@*&#%@$#%#%#
still snowing here:(, yeah Topper, hope you are right, I still have Pepco number right by the phone. and a flashlight.
I asked hubby how much snow up in Philly, he says he does not know, he is 36 floors up.
Megan, you should have especially beautiful flowers after all of this effort to save the greenhouse.
yeah, Becky, we have hurricanes, tropical storms and tornadoes here in addition to snow storms and ice storms,,,,we accept all kins of weather...:)
I think we are living in that expression, "when hell freezes over", this winter.
Oh Jo, so sorry about your Tigress
(((hugs)))
Jo, that was one old cat!
Lynne, glad the porch roof is holding.
BBL
:(, sorry, Jo.
Jo, I am so very sorry about Tigress. I know she brought much love and happiness to you and your family. Hugs of sympathy.
That is very old for a cat. Thankful we had her so long.
((((((((HUGS))))))))) To Mema Jo and the Lennox family! Love you!
Off to the TV bbl
George and I send our sympathy, Jo.
So sorry about Tigress, Jo. ((HUGS))
Good evening everyone - may I ask anyone in the WV area - do you normally get this much snow. How is Belle/Liberty - haven't looked at the cam tonight.
Mema Jo, read about your pet - very sorry to hear that, but sounded like Tigress had a good long loved life.
Wow, I think it's stopped snowing!
Yes.....it has finally stopped snowing here too.
Safire - this is an unusual amount of snow!
Hi Jo, so sorry to hear about your cat Tigress. Our pets are so unique and wonderful and it's tough when they go. Glad to hear she went peacefully, though.
Aha, just dug up some pot roast from the freezer...
Belle/Liberty are the best example to us all about the value of perseverance & not giving up.
am going to do a few chores - bbl
Safire, this is the most snow in recorded history for this area of the country.
Commercial - Thanking all of you for your thinking of our Tigress. You're right that she had a good long loved life! Good way to put it Safire.
Thanks everyone ((hugs))
Okay, that's it for me...grateful here for electricity and Advil...every muscle in my body hurts. nite all.
Bless you Megan. Good night.
Good Night Megan...I just missed you...
♥
I hope you dream of beautiful flowers of all colors
Jo so sorry to hear about Tigress.
Megan good night. I am going to call it a day. wishing all restful sleep
and to dear Mema Jo and Ed and all the family, I am sorry that Tigress died, and know with all certainty that she enjoyed her time on the planet with your family so very much.
She has crossed over that Rainbow Bridge peacefully...her illnesses and frailties are over
xo ♥ (( hugs ))
calling all Wandas, calling all Wandas...
I'd ring her up but I usually don't call people after 9 pm...
Helen -
have you seen the contest to come up with Topper's REAL name?
I'm glad that it seems the Hedgesville evacuation was probably not a truism...
maybe someone just said it seems like a ghost town and then someone assumed that it had been evacuated....
and it went from there
hope so
Good Night Ceil...signing off from your roost and not the pokey, eh?
And Judie... sure hope some industrious kid does the shoveling at a fair price !
I'm sure we ould have heard by now if something major had happened in Hedgesville.
I see where our county sheriff told everyone to "Stay Home."
I wonder if that applies to me ☺
doubtful, so I am going to go do the unthinkable....clean off the car and see if the doors are frozen
be back after some very cold minutes to come....
would have heard
I see Belle is all tucked in, what a Gal !!
yeah Shirley, we oulda probably ♥ ☺
have to tell you all about the sexiest pair of Camo Bibs I have on......have zipppers that go from the ankle all the way up to the Hip!
lol....sexy, my butt !!
ttfn
Watch for the Upcoming Split
You take care out there, Megan!
What you need is warm, Margy. Did I tell you that Kathryn said you didn't seem like the bib overalls type . . . that was the first night we met. You were all dressed up that night at dinner.
love you Shirley, but Megan thank good ness is done for the night...☺ but you can call me Megan if you want to
(you know, like the Thumper thing )
Well, both of you take care!
Yeah, I remember Thumper and Bambi.
☺
I think Belle just shook off anmd rearranged herself
MeMa Jo Sigh I feel sorry to read about Tigress. I am sure she had the best home ever. I am glad she passed peacefully in the home she loved. That would be my wish for any of my pets to be honest with you. I surely pray for some good times on here. Tomorrow has got to be better in oh so many ways.
Oh thats cue what Kathrryn said can you tall I am typing with bvloves on
