Susan There is possibly another Shake Off happening....... As though the nest were a clock look at the very top like noon. Eagle is mainly snow covered and will be hard to see Lib or Belle will be there all the time now.........
Susan the Live Feed - you do need to hit the play button every 10:29 on the timer.... it goes on up in increments of 10 until 50:99 So within an hour's time you will have started it up 6 times.
mine is not making it to the 10 minute refesh goes 1 or 2 seconds, then stops. have to start again, than might got to 7 seconds then stops, so guess whatever I did this a.m. did not work.

I have been trying to read today's blog to catch up on everything and it has taken me hours! Too many interuptions. I watched Belle for about 2 hours straight, praying that Lib would come with a shovel and dig her out, but she eventually flapped her way out. What an extraordinary lady she is! Hope she can continue to do that as the snow gets deeper. The wind is supposed to get up later...maybe it will blow some of the snow out of the nest:)
Good thing we decided to check on GG today. She was getting ready for her doctor appointment, but it isn't until NEXT Friday. She would have set there and waited on me and might even have driven herself there for nothing. Bless her heart. She was doing really well so Gene thought she might enjoy a G&T (actually he uses vodka instead of gin). Because she hears the word TONIC, she thinks it is some kind of medicinal drink. She knows there is alcohol in it, but still thinks it is to make her feel better...and it does!:) We took her enough food to last the weekend and she told us she would see us in church Sunday. Oh, Dear Lord, NO Mom...can't have her driving in this kind of weather! Had to fib a bit and told her we wouldn't be in church Sunday...she doesn't go if we don't. Who knows, maybe none of us will go if this snow keeps up.

No, Margy, didn't take her keys. Almost did when she hit the same car twice a month or two ago. But that is something that I have prayed about often...asked the Lord to take care of that matter. I don't want to be the one to tell her she can't drive anymore. Did the same thing with my Dad when he couldn't drive very well...prayed for the Lord to handle it. One day, Dad said he couldn't drive anymore and gave me his keys AND his car:) THANK YOU LORD FOR HEARING MY PRAYER.

Hello everyone! I hope all of you affected by the storm are safe and sound. I am worried about Belle and her egg. This is Mother Nature at her most unforgiving.
Sounds like some sleet at the nest from time to time...still all snow here...I am not venturing out tonight to do any shoveling...I have all day tomorrow for that. Most businesses in Frederick will probably be closed tomorrow, we made the decision a couple of hours ago to close...maybe we can open on Sunday.
We have the BEST neighbor. Plowed our driveway earlier. He knows GG needs help from time to time so he makes sure we can get out if needed. Years ago, when GG had her second battle with cancer and I had to take her to get her radiation (Gene was still working), my car wouldn't start, so neighbor took me into her house, came back home and fixed my car and he and his wife drove it into GG's for me. Hows that for a good neighbor? Never would take any money.
Wow, that snow is getting heavier weight-wise...wetter, I guess. Huff-puff....It won't be too long before what I push off deck will be as high as the front part...then what will I do?? I HATE SNOW.

I'm also hoping our porch roof doesn't cave in...it's one of those flimsy corrugated plastic jobbies and I have serious doubts with how heavy the snow is. We'd have to use a ladder to try to get the snow off, but NO WAY JOSE!

Hello everyone! I hope all of you affected by the storm are safe and sound. I am worried about Belle and her egg. This is Mother Nature at her most unforgiving.

I, like a lot of you had to give up the live feed for a while as it was acting strangely. Hope the snow and weather does not knock this camera out.
Sounds like some sleet at the nest from time to time...still all snow here...I am not venturing out tonight to do any shoveling...I have all day tomorrow for that. Most businesses in Frederick will probably be closed tomorrow, we made the decision a couple of hours ago to close...maybe we can open on Sunday.
Just heard the snowplow going by the nest....our snowplow is here again, too. Second time tonight.

We have the BEST neighbor. Plowed our driveway earlier. He knows GG needs help from time to time so he makes sure we can get out if needed. Years ago, when GG had her second battle with cancer and I had to take her to get her radiation (Gene was still working), my car wouldn't start, so neighbor took me into her house, came back home and fixed my car and he and his wife drove it into GG's for me. Hows that for a good neighbor? Never would take any money.
Wow, that snow is getting heavier weight-wise...wetter, I guess. Huff-puff....It won't be too long before what I push off deck will be as high as the front part...then what will I do?? I HATE SNOW.
Eggcited, I have been thinking the same thing about the cam...didn't want to bring it up. Maybe that would be a good thing, then we wouldn't have to watch the eagles struggling! No, I don't mean that!
Hope it stays on and we can see that valiant pair have success with this storm.

Cam seems to be working okay for me. Watched House. They had on one I had not seen. Jack was surprised I did not have the cam up. Told him it was really bothering me. And, it is!

To answer someone's question, we only had about 5 inches so far but my Hemlock and pine trees boughs are almost to the ground. The wind has picked up too.

I have to refresh at odd times too, so I'll just shut it down for now and check back tomorrow.

It is getting windy here, Jo, that may be what you are hearing. It is blowing the snow off the trees. Maybe it will blow some of the snow out of the nest:)

Wind is really picking up....don't know how much drifting will happen with such wet, heavy snow....hope not much. And sure hope that Asplundh has done a ggreat job of tree-trimming so that we don't have trees/limbs coming down and snapping the lines.

Ditto what Wanda said....if I disappear without saying goodnight, you will know the power went out. Cell is charged, but landline usually works fine in power outage. I always have one regular phone; cordless, of course, doesn't work if power goes.
Lynn, our BGE tree contractors just did this whole entire area about 2 months ago, and I am hoping the same thing.
I'm also hoping our porch roof doesn't cave in...it's one of those flimsy corrugated plastic jobbies and I have serious doubts with how heavy the snow is. We'd have to use a ladder to try to get the snow off, but NO WAY JOSE!

Hedgie I have one cordless but 2 land line. And our cells are charged.
And yes all my oxygen tanks are filled and I have the huge one for emergency use (when electric goes out)
