loooong day at the zoo this past Wednesday, Sharon, so I goofed off yesterday and today..hubby on his way back home form being away all week, so have to hurry and make it look like I have done something around the house:)
The National Zoo lost its senior female lion, Lusaka, last evening. A final pathology report will provide more information, but her health had been in decline for several months.
In early 2009, Lusaka developed a mass under the skin on her back. When the mass began to change shape, National Zoo veterinarians performed a biopsy. The test results revealed that the mass was a fibrosarcoma, a cancerous tumor that occurs not just in lions, but also in domestic cats. The tumor was removed by outside veterinary oncologists, and the lion had been on oral medications to slow potential regrowth of the tumor. The Zoo’s animal care staff trained Lusaka so they could collect blood from her tail while she remained awake, which allowed them to better assess her condition.
Lusaka, named for the capital of Zambia, arrived at the National Zoo’s Great Cats exhibit in September 2003 from the Wildlife Waystation, an animal sanctuary in the Angeles National Forest near Los Angeles. Her origin is unknown as she was rescued from a private breeder. Veterinarians suspect her birth year to be 1991, an estimate that made her 18 years of age by the end of 2009. The lifespan of a wild lion is usually about 15 years; for a zoo lion, that number can be 20 years or higher.
Most zoo animals participate in a breeding program called the Species Survival Plan. The SSP scientists determine which animals breed by considering their genetic makeup, nutritional and social needs, temperament and overall health. Because her genetic history was unknown, Lusaka never participated in the SSP for lion management. Rather than breed, she served as an educational ambassador for her species, illustrating the social nature and behavior of lions to scientists, keepers and Zoo visitors.
African lions are listed as vulnerable on the World Conservation Union’s (IUCN’s) Red List of Threatened Species due to pre-emptive killing by farmers as well as prey depletion and habitat loss. However, many populations are thriving in protected reserves. It is estimated that between 6,000 and 10,000 lions currently live in Africa. They are found from the Sahara’s southern fringe to northern South Africa, but are absent from equatorial areas dominated by moist tropical forest. A small population of Asiatic lions, which are endangered, live in the Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary in Gujarat, India.
The Zoo has three young lions: Luke, a male, and Shera and Nababiep, two females.
sure the keepers and visitors' will really miss her:(
well I am back from an hour long hike with Daisy....and now, time for her first bath!!! She has to be pretty when her new grandma comes on Sunday!!
Megan, if I still don't have a job in Feb. maybe I'll come and volunteer my help!
So sorry about Lusaka....fibrosarcomas are very common in domestic cats, and some research has linked them to vaccinations, in particular ( I think, I am a bit rusty ) to the feline leukemia vaccination. Do they vaccinate animals at the zoo Mits?
from Lily's site on FB for those who don't have it...
I hope you're enjoying watching Lily and the building anticipation as much as we do bringing this to you! Regular viewers might have noticed some changes over the last days and wonder about them.
These changes (and one or two more to come) are to gear up for the birth of Lily's cubs which will hopefully happen soon (although also not too soon, as there are still some last preparations to be finished.
Today we changed the way we stream the live video to you to make it more secure and reliable, but lost the 'viewer count' as a result of this change. It will be back, but only next week.
Also you will have noticed the home page looks different. This is temporary, as tomorrow new website will be up, to make sure that if Lily decides not to wait for that we stand the best chance or sharing this with all of you.
Also, thank you for all the great feedback to the team, we are looking forward to sharing many great bear moments with all of you!

gee Lynne, I don't know. they have a hospital and a staff of vets that tend to the animals....I ask someone if I remember...don't ever really have the time to go see other animals when I am there.
Mits, I was always curious about that... I got to go "behind the scenes" at the Baltimore Zoo last year. My friend Tracey (the vet tech I have mentioned before) and her husband have both worked and/or volunteered there. It was amazing to see the hospital and all of the special equipment they have! No surgery was going on that day though. And I also got to go see some of the penquins that were inside in their pool! It was a great experience all around to see the "back of the zoo". I'll have to ask Tracey about the vaccinations....I never seem to think of it when I see her!
Lost you all! Bringing over: All you gals sharing Marie for a middle name have great combos. Jo and I share Ellen for ours!
Really sad about Lusaka. I have heard that about the vaccine, too, Lynne, now that you jogged my memory. It WOULD be interesting to know if they vaccinate the zoo animals.
well, that went BADLY. She really freaked out when I turned the hose on, even though it was a soft spray. I had a leash on her and was prepared, however, she managed TWO flying leaps out of the tub. Can't believe the shower curtain isn't ripped...it took every ounce of strength I had to keep her in. But she calmed down enough to get the job done. In hindsight, I should have waited for Steve to help me. I'm soaked and the bathroom is TRASHED! But she is OK, and once out of the tub she started to play so I guess no hard feelings! Now I have to go clean the bathroom....
Thanks for the pictures. Trying to decide if I am going to like the new view....I think so. You can see more even though it looks smaller since it is further away.
I guess tomorrow I am going to WV to see my brother. He sounds awful on the phone and said his face hurts really bad. They still haven't found out the cause of him passing out but I suspect it has something to do with his sugar. He ate a half a bag of conversation hearts before he went to bed so. . .
So sorry,Sharon, for your brother. What a horrible accident.
Forgot to tell you. My brother called this afternoon. I am once again a great aunt. His middle son had a son this afternoon. Do not know his name yet, but he weighed in at 9 lbs 3 oz. A big boy! My brother, Larry, was very excited!
Congratulations Great Auntie Lolly. That new boy will fit right in with all the other around your home. Where is your brother and son located?
Sharon a bag of hearts surely would do it! I assume the ER monitored his blood sugar count. I bet he is breathing through his mouth! You best take him some sugarless lozenges (sp?) to get rid of the dryness! lol
Just checked Mapquest. It has me going west around the beltway, so I think I'll be taking pretty much the same route as the Eagle Express. Our trip will be about 3 hours.
I think you said you would plan to arrive about 11:00. What time are you leaving?
Shirley in case Wanda isn't lisening... should be about a 2 hour trip for us coming from WV & MD. Eagle Express is probably getting me around 9am and then we should be hopping right onto I-70 and from there on Capt Gene will need to fill you in. I'm just along for the ride! lol
Is Hunter and Kathryn coming. Are you going to let Kathryn navigate this time? I bet she comes after me for saying that! lol Just tell her she can't hit an old woman on oxygen! That'll stop her!
Well plans for what to eat seem well underway for tomorrow :-). I surely wish all of you a wonderful time. I hope those eagles are there for you putting on a show. I know you all will enjoy each others company. What a special day is in store. Be safe and enjoy.
Well, I don't know what's wrong, but I can't get the pics to show when I paly the slideshow, and I can't view an individual pic, either. If I click on one, it gives me a film strip of thumbnails. Maybe puter is tired tonight. congrats, Lolly, on another nephew---big boy, indeed!
It will be about a 3 hour trip for us. I was figuring we would leave about 8. Kathryn went out shopping for a new smart chip or whatever it's called for her phone and some snacks for us to take along.
Really, Kathryn is a good navigator! We were following the Mapquest directions that I had gotten when we went to open house. We made a much more direct trip home that weekend.
And, yes, I just went to Mapquest again. The directions look reasonable, but I think we probably need to look at a good old roadmap.
. . . . .
Just called Tom and told him to get a roadmap.I also told him what you said, Jo, and that you commented that Kathryn wouldn't punch a lady with oxygen. Tom said, "You might be surprised." (Somehow, I don't think you are in any danger. Besides, I wouldn't let her hit you! And I'm her momma!)
E_M Click on the first photo and then go up and click on the word Slideshow.
When viewing individual pics with the film strip below - you can move to the next one by clicking on the word NEXT or by clicking on the next pic on the firm strip.
Well those who have visited Glo's Glimpses know that occasionally I take a picture of folks who are taking pictures of eagles. I remember in my minds eye the photo of many of you when the first young uns soared for you on that June Day as you all went to the sycamore tree.
I hope someone will take pictures of some of you as you get to watch the eagles at the dam. I wish I could see your faces and hear your comments. I will be alongside in spirit for sure. I am very excited for all of you who are going.
Too funny! The last comment on the old thread was Paula's comment "Whoo Hoo Eagle in the Nest" then it switched over to the new thread... was wondering why no one was talking about it, until I finally caught up to Paula's same comment on the new thread. Nice to open up the E-M Page and see the words "18 New Photos." Great pictures, eagle-eyed people xo
On the other side of the pond (UK) it is now Jan 16 - the birthday of a dear friend who loves the eagles and pandas as much as all of us here in the States Happy Birthday Chrissy Have a good year ahead of you!
If I disappear, I am having trouble with my computer. I got a message that a virus had been deleted by my security system. Since then, the computer has frozen up several times and has made strange sounds once. I do not have a way that I know of to do a manual scan on this computer. It is all set up by the IT department.
Grrrr hate that, Shirley, when that happens....Are you getting these from Microsoft? Don't fall for it.... hope you can figure out a way to scan it. And more so that you don't disappear.
I think the security message was for real. I looked at my security system and found a message just like it. It did not ask me to do anything. It was just a notification.
Lynn, without my trusted Chaueffeur, I hope I don't get lost on the way to Wanda and Gene's - I am sure you can make a last minute change in plans if a miracle occurs overnight, which I will pray for !
Hi Lolly, hope hubby Jack is home now ♥ and Helen's jubby too ♥
I'm zonked from the past work week, going to head to bed soon, and get up early to get my things together. Hope the evening goes along well for everyone... Good Night, and God Bless Us, Every One xo ☺ ♥
Margy, you are sweet enough without eating ONLY dessert food tomorrow! You KNOW that Gene and Wanda's meal will be delicious, and you have to eat enough of it for me, too!!!
Megan, Jo, Dana, Margy, Gene and Wanda from this area.... Diann and Mr. Diann were going to come down, not sure now as Lynn mentioned illness Kathryn and Hunter Shirley Paula...maybe a pickup along the way so she can hop onto the Eagle Express with Jo, that's all that my memory holds right now. Maybe Wanda's grandson Dustin... Who else from your family Shirley also, maybe Lynne2 - gosh hope I am not missing anyone... would like to add LYNN to this list!
We're home from our day with Hubby's Sis--lots of fun! Went to a good movie (The Book of Eli); review to follow later tonight--MTBR. Need to get some dinner! Will be back later--Hubby wants some company watching Criminal Minds. Take care, everyone! :o]
Just checking in to say goodnight, and I hope everyone has a great time tomorrow! Sure wish I could be there....Prayers for safe travels for everyone and I will look forward to seeing lots of pictures!
Nite Shirley! Nite Margy! Have fun tomorrow. I smile when I think of all the women unloading for the EE. Sorta of like clowns out of a car at the circus.
Oh, yeah....good capture at BWE!!! Thanks for that alert. Lolly, I wish I was feeling up to going, but just not quite there yet....as I told others, when we get to talking and laughing, I would start coughing and then end up with a splitting headache. Not much fun for me, and certainly not pleasant for the gang to listen to me cough, either. Dana can attest to how I sound, as she called earlier and heard me!
Eyeballs want to close. Gotta get up early anyway. Everyone going on field trip, have a wonderful time!!!!Hope birds will cooperate and let you get pictures!!!Film at 11!!☺ HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHRISSY!!!
Hello everyone that hasn't turned in. I'm headed there shortly. Dinner was good...crab legs were good...6 family members was wonderful!
GG's Dr. appt. was a little un-nerving for me. He thinks we may have to go the route of GB removal. It scares me (her age and she is a bit fragile).
Eagle Express is ready to go...taking Dustin with us. He is excited at the thought of seeing a real live eagle!
Lunch is ready...just needs to be heated up: CHILI DOGS....CHEESE DOGS...HAG-MART SAUCE. PASTA CASSEROLE POTATO SALAD FRUIT SALAD MEGANS COOKIES WILL BE GOOD WITH FRUIT SALAD:)
LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL TOMORROW...IT'S GOING TO BE A WONDERFUL DAY! Should get home around 3-4pm.
I will bring the bagels and pastry ring for the trip down before lunch. That way we won't eat all of Megan's delicious (no Chocolate Chop ones) cookies and spoil our luscious lunch. Call after getting Megan... I'll be waiting at the High's!
Alright!!!! You know what I meant! Not looking like clowns, but piling out like clowns. But, then again....maybe you will look like clowns....with cookies clutched in your hand, eagle beads around your neck, along with your binocs.cameras, etc!!!
Wanda--------please save me some HagMart sauce!!! Paula, once upon a time, before Martinsburg had a McDonalds', they had HagMart. It was a drive-up with delicious chili dogs with their special sauce, the most wonderful cheeseburgers, and rootbeer in frosted mugs (can't remember if it was B&W or Hires!). Sometime around 1973, they sold out to Mickey D's, and it was torn down to make room. Boo!!!
Lolly, the only time it bothers my stomach is when I'm laying in the bathtub---guess it's just the angle; I can feel it pulling on adhesions! I fear breaking a rib again like I did a little over 2 yrs. ago from coughing! THAT was a truly awful experience.
Lynn are you using any cough medicine at night? Lying on my back on an incline helps me not to cough.. But I sure sleep better on my side. Going to miss you tomorrow..I'll tell Wanda about the Hagmart sauce. LOL Lolly doesn't Hagmart Sauce sound like it should be in Harry Potter?
I have finished my shower and set my alarm (hubby) for 7:30am. Hey there! maybe I will catch our Regal Couple in the nest. I'll take my camera for people shots - not enough of a zoom for eagles unless I can get as close to one as Glo did!
Well, my jealous/envious butt is going to bed now! Hope you all have a blast tomorrow. I was going to say that I will be watching the Sycamore Palace for everybody but I am going to Bluefield so. . .
Good Night Sharon and Lynn and any others not yet on the pillows.
I hope that when I close my eyes I will immediately drop off into slumber...My mind usually goes 70 mph when I am excited. I will miss you all and I will be thinking of you.... Promise!
Good Morning.... The BWE Eagles have been together in the nest for quite some time now. Not there at 2200 when the camera stopped, but one first when I opened up at 5:45 and two for about 30 minutes now.....
OK, I don't know about Hag Mart, I thought it was a new name for the Hagerstown walmart... I don't like or resemble clowns...I hope... And, sorry, I hope the Colts destroy the Ravens....
WHOA!!---That is the most BEAUTIFUL photo that I have seen for a LONG--LONG time!!!----Makes one feel that if we went to the TREE---THEY WOULD RECOGNIZE US!!!
And poof. Got a pic. Will post to album in a little while! Know you Conowingo-bound folks are SO excited! Wish I was able to go, too! Cloudy here----I think that it might be better if it's cloudy there so that photogs don't have to worry about glare!!!
Norma, Lynn and Glo There is HP going on in our nest. I got some photos also Lynn - Won't post until my return. I think the camera view is going to be ok for us.
Well darn, would you look at the time, gotta walk away from this computer and get ready to go...now where on earth did I leave those clown shoes.... Have a great day everybody!
Just saw Megans' football comment: gotta respond to that!!! Hope the Ravens beat up the Colts!!! Remember....the Colts snuck out of Baltimore under cover of darkness, deserting the city and the fans. Irsay should have lost his franchise when he pulled that stunt!!!

Where have you been Mits?
Well it will certainly be a sight for sore eyes when an eagle appears in that nest.

Thank you Mits & so glad to hear from you! Wasn't sure if Wed was a Zoo day
Thanks Steve - let us know if anyone spots our eagles up on the branches.
Mits - I had you down at the ocean when you hadn't been on here for 2 days.

Elderly Lion Dies at Smithsonian’s National Zoo
The National Zoo lost its senior female lion, Lusaka, last evening. A final pathology report will provide more information, but her health had been in decline for several months.
In early 2009, Lusaka developed a mass under the skin on her back. When the mass began to change shape, National Zoo veterinarians performed a biopsy. The test results revealed that the mass was a fibrosarcoma, a cancerous tumor that occurs not just in lions, but also in domestic cats. Her origin is unknown as she was rescued from a private breeder. Veterinarians suspect her birth year to be 1991, an estimate that made her 18 years of age by the end of 2009. She was a very beautiful lioness.

Well, crud, I didn't take a picture, but I think Loretta said she did. Sorry, I was cooking and watching at the time... can you ever forgive me....
Of course I will forgive you Megan as long as you bring lots of cookies tomorrow.
Thank you Sharon Thank you! I'll go look for them now.
I remember Loretta saying she took some and email them to herself so we should see them later.
Next time someone else is going to be the one to leave in order to trick them to come in the nest. lol
Well, dern!!! Missed the visit. Oh, well, how exciting that they came back. Anxious to see the pics.
Jack is home, we have a fire going, and chili on the stove. All is well in our home!
Spent the afternoon transferring more slides and occasional lurking.
I am loading some pics in the eaglet momsters yahoo album now.
I have some pictures I will send MeMa Jo so you can fill in any blanks if you need them. If not well np
Whoo Hoo! Sharon those pics are great!
I need to get use to the view.
Did you email one to Steve to post?
Thank you so much! Love ya!
Okay, they are there, but not in order. One of them may have been some HP happening or least getting ready to happen.
Hi!
Home from work. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Thanks for the pictures. Trying to decide if I am going to like the new view....I think so. You can see more even though it looks smaller since it is further away.
What do y'all think?

Glo, you're one heck of a photog!
Lynne 2, your avatar will shake those antlers off if he doesn't soon stop or slow down. ;o)
For those who've had bad days/week, my sincerest condolences. May the next day/week be one of many blessings.
Wanda, you have mail.
Between you & me, should he get up tomorrow much better we'll see ya there. ;o)

Oh Megan - so you chopped the chip!
Oatmeal raisin sounds good to me.
Lolly - when would you like to schedule the painting of my rainbow ceiling! I'm still hanging! lol Thank You Much!
Glo - when I see that 1st eagle I am going to think of everyone who isn't there with me to see it. When we all bonded - we did it good!
Well, I don't know what's wrong, but I can't get the pics to show when I paly the slideshow, and I can't view an individual pic, either. If I click on one, it gives me a film strip of thumbnails. Maybe puter is tired tonight.

You all are making me hungry with all these yummies I'm going to miss!
Oh, no----sounds like Diann's Jim is sick????
Saturday forecast for Conowingo-
Mostly sunny.
Highs in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph...becoming west in the afternoon.
Wanda had to take GG to her drs. apptmt. today, and they probably went out for crab legs this evening!!!!
Hi Jo,
It will be about a 3 hour trip for us.
When viewing individual pics with the
film strip below - you can move to the next one by clicking on the word NEXT or by clicking on the next pic on the firm strip.
Hope one of those ways works.
Lynn Do you watch the Medium and Numbers?
Well those who have visited Glo's Glimpses know that occasionally I take a picture of folks who are taking pictures of eagles. I remember in my minds eye the photo of many of you when the first young uns soared for you on that June Day as you all went to the sycamore tree.
I hope someone will take pictures of some of you as you get to watch the eagles at the dam. I wish I could see your faces and hear your comments. I will be alongside in spirit for sure. I am very excited for all of you who are going.
Hi everyone,
For those who are off for a big Conowingo adventure tomorrow, please have a marvelous and wonderful day.
Thank you, again, to Steve and all the NCTC supporters who have made the nest cam available to us.
My day is over so turning off my light. Will leave the night light on for others. Best to all. Enjoy the weekend.
Hello and Good Night Judie, hope your Saturday is special....and in some way makes the rest of the week behind you, more or less, disappear.....
xo ♥
Too funny! The last comment on the old thread was Paula's comment "Whoo Hoo Eagle in the Nest"
then it switched over to the new thread...
was wondering why no one was talking about it, until I finally caught up to Paula's same comment on the new thread.
Nice to open up the E-M Page and see the words "18 New Photos."
Great pictures, eagle-eyed people
xo
On the other side of the pond (UK) it is now Jan 16 - the birthday of a dear friend who loves the eagles and pandas as much as all of us here in the States
Happy Birthday Chrissy
Have a good year ahead of you!
Jo!
I just double checked the Birthday Alert and was about to post the very same thing!
Yes, indeedy:
Happy Birthday to our Lovely Chrissy, our all-time favorite Overseas Pet !
Good night, Judie.
If I disappear, I am having trouble with my computer. I got a message that a virus had been deleted by my security system. Since then, the computer has frozen up several times and has made strange sounds once. I do not have a way that I know of to do a manual scan on this computer. It is all set up by the IT department.
Heading out of here for about an hour and then get things in order to grab in the morning.
BBILW
I wonder, would Chrissy be awake ?
Might just zip over to another program and send her an e-card.
bbs
Grrrr hate that, Shirley, when that happens....Are you getting these from Microsoft? Don't fall for it....
hope you can figure out a way to scan it.
And more so that you don't disappear.
Sounds like I can eat dessert all day long Saturday. Unfortunatly the only thing I might be bringing is my appetite !
Take a look at the PIX PA Woods
What in the world is it Jo ??
Looks like a deer to me, Margy.
I think the security message was for real. I looked at my security system and found a message just like it. It did not ask me to do anything. It was just a notification.
I'll try again, Jo.....pics are just so small.
No, I watch Ghost Whisperer, but not the other two.
Sounds like to me that you all are going to be eating your way to see the eagles! Wahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! I wanna go too!! Have fun!
Lynn, you still not feeling well enough to go? I am so sorry!!!
Jo, my brother lives in McAllen, that is 500 miles south of me in the tip of Texas on the Mexico border. Brett, his son, lives in San Antonio.
See the deer, Jo. Also, hear something crunching in the leaves. lol
Sorry to hear of Sissy and Sharon's brother's fall and broken nose overnight, hope healing and wellness will come along quickly.
xo
Okay, got the pics up okay that time!! Hp.....sure looked like it could have been! Hope it was "competent'!!!!
Lynn, without my trusted Chaueffeur, I hope I don't get lost on the way to Wanda and Gene's -
I am sure you can make a last minute change in plans if a miracle occurs overnight, which I will pray for !
Hi Lolly, hope hubby Jack is home now ♥
and Helen's jubby too ♥
I'm zonked from the past work week, going to head to bed soon, and get up early to get my things together.
Hope the evening goes along well for everyone...
Good Night, and God Bless Us, Every One
xo ☺ ♥
lol Lily is giving us the eye!
Computer froze up again.
Somebody tell me again who is going to Conowingo.
speaking of HP - I trust you all have checked the underlined purple like on BWE for a nice nest mating shot there ♥
Margy, you are sweet enough without eating ONLY dessert food tomorrow! You KNOW that Gene and Wanda's meal will be delicious, and you have to eat enough of it for me, too!!!
Sure enuf: Sat. across the pond already!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR CHRISSY,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!
Megan, Jo, Dana, Margy, Gene and Wanda from this area....
Diann and Mr. Diann were going to come down, not sure now as Lynn mentioned illness
Kathryn and Hunter
Shirley
Paula...maybe a pickup along the way so she can hop onto the Eagle Express with Jo,
that's all that my memory holds right now.
Maybe Wanda's grandson Dustin...
Who else from your family Shirley
also, maybe Lynne2 -
gosh hope I am not missing anyone...
would like to add LYNN to this list!
Thanks Lynn...and yes, will eat enough for both of us. Guess I better pack some cranberry juice.
Which I WILL NOT Spill.
Wish we could add ALL THE MOMSTERS AND DADSTERS TO THIS LIST FOR CONOWINGO.
My eyesight is done for for the night.
Sorry about the Virus Alert, Shirley...just don't YOU get sick
xo TTFN xo
I sure wish Lynn was going with you, too.
Margy, I KNOW you know the route to Gosling Marsh Rd.!! Sleep tight!
Good night, Margy. I am pretty tired, too.
Hi, Gang,
We're home from our day with Hubby's Sis--lots of fun! Went to a good movie (The Book of Eli); review to follow later tonight--MTBR.
Need to get some dinner! Will be back later--Hubby wants some company watching Criminal Minds.
Take care, everyone! :o]
Me too, Lolly. I would love to get to see Lynn again.
Just checking in to say goodnight, and I hope everyone has a great time tomorrow! Sure wish I could be there....Prayers for safe travels for everyone and I will look forward to seeing lots of pictures!
Going to go upstairs to my comfy bed. I'll see you tomorrow.
Good night.
Nite Shirley! Nite Margy! Have fun tomorrow. I smile when I think of all the women unloading for the EE. Sorta of like clowns out of a car at the circus.
Well now, who exactly are the clowns....
Lynn- sorry you are not going tomorrow! Still not feeling up to par?
I am heading to Conowingo from here...kinda out of the way to head to Frederick for a pickup, so I'll meet you there...
I'm bringing some cheese and crackers and sausage. Ya'll better save me some cookies!!!
BTW, I finally found the CD that Deb had sent me with the picture of Liberty and Belle...I will get it emailed out to everyone tomorrow!
Oh-oh, Lolly......didn't realize we looked like that!!!
Good night, Shirley! Enjoy tomorrow. Too bad you can't talk Judie into going.
Eyeballs want to close. Gotta get up early anyway.
Everyone going on field trip, have a wonderful time!!!!Hope birds will cooperate and let you get pictures!!!Film at 11!!☺
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHRISSY!!!
The Medium was really good show tonight
Had a very dramatic unexpected conclusion. I like a little surprise once in awhile.
I am going to hit the sack soon.
Earlier tomorrow than this morning..
Got to get up and get moving.
I'll check back around 11:00.......
Lunch is ready...just needs to be heated up:
CHILI DOGS....CHEESE DOGS...HAG-MART SAUCE.
PASTA CASSEROLE
POTATO SALAD
FRUIT SALAD
MEGANS COOKIES WILL BE GOOD WITH FRUIT SALAD:)
LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL TOMORROW...IT'S GOING TO BE A WONDERFUL DAY!
Should get home around 3-4pm.
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL
BIG TIME PRAYERS FOR THOSE SUFFERING HAITIANS
Hi Wanda - Glad that Dustin is coming.
I will bring the bagels and pastry ring for the trip down before lunch.
That way we won't eat all of Megan's delicious (no Chocolate Chop ones)
cookies and spoil our luscious lunch.
Call after getting Megan... I'll be waiting at the High's!
Wanda - glad Dustin is coming along. He will surely see an eagle!
Hag mart sauce???
Alright!!!! You know what I meant! Not looking like clowns, but piling out like clowns. But, then again....maybe you will look like clowns....with cookies clutched in your hand, eagle beads around your neck, along with your binocs.cameras, etc!!!
Love you all.....and I am soooo jealous!
Lynn, I understand if you are coughing your head off. I sure hope you do not get as sore as Sharon did.
Heading to bed, up early tomorrow...
See ya'll later tomorrow evening!
Hugs to all ♥
Wanda--------please save me some HagMart sauce!!!
I was going to say that I will be watching the Sycamore Palace for everybody but I am going to Bluefield so. . .
Jo, I don't cough at all laying down. Only reclining in tub or chair, and talking/laughing! Taking cough med and Mucinex. One more day of antibiotic.
Sleep well everyone. Safe travels for everyone who will be on the roads tomorrow. Will be thinking of you all!
Love and prayers. G'night!
Good Night Sharon and Lynn and any others not yet on the pillows.
I hope that when I close my eyes I will immediately drop off into slumber...My mind usually goes 70 mph when I am excited.
I will miss you all and I will be thinking of you.... Promise!
((hugs)) ♥ ♥ ♥
Hey There All You Raven Fans
Paint the town PURPLE
As my grandson says:
C.O.L.T.S.
Count On Losing This Saturday
LOL You are right Jo, Hagmart sauce does sound like it came straight from Harry Potter. Love it!
Heading to bed. Night all! Prayers for all needs!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
GOOD NIGHT, aLL
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I'm glad you got a look at
Liberty-Belle this evening.

In case your are wondering. I am having trouble sleeping. Mostly thinking about a meeting with a student and his mother this afternoon.
I need tomorrow's (or at this point, today's) excursion to clear my mind of school issues.

Good Morning....
The BWE Eagles have been together in the nest for quite some time now.
Not there at 2200 when the camera stopped, but one first when I opened up at 5:45 and two for about 30 minutes now.....
soon we can start watching for OUR EAGLES to start spending the night in the nest....
throwing things together....
including Eagle Beads....
I noticed the BWE eagles in the nest so early this morning.
And Lily is sleeping soundly
OK, I don't know about Hag Mart, I thought it was a new name for the Hagerstown walmart...
I don't like or resemble clowns...I hope...

HP IN OUR NEST!!
And poof. Got a pic. Will post to album in a little while!
Know you Conowingo-bound folks are SO excited! Wish I was able to go, too! Cloudy here----I think that it might be better if it's cloudy there so that photogs don't have to worry about glare!!!
Someone is back in nest.
And now there are two!
Norma, Lynn and Glo There is HP going on in our nest. I got some photos also Lynn - Won't post until my return.
I think the camera view is going to be ok for us.
MISS YOU ALL !
Now only one again.
And then there were none!
SPLIT happens......
Love seeing this lovely eagle this morning!
