Cape Coral Osprey Nest
No daughter to pass things down to...but will have a GD to pass them onto. I just called DIL and asked her if she wanted my Grandmothers china. She took one of my Mom's china cabinets, actually they took the whole dining room set, buffet, china and table. She needs something to put in her china cabinet. I'm trying to get Mom's china all clean and into my cabinet today.
I am going to help John and Ajay recover the chairs....I bought her the foam for the seats and gave those to her for Christmas...now she has to pick out the fabric and I'll help them recover the chairs.
I did Paula...it was a Christmas gift from Donna ☺ ♥
Paula, that sounds wonderful, having your Mother's things stay in the family like that....just wonderful.
When my former husband was married the first time, his mother-in-law had a serious drinking problem.
He and his wife (that woman's daughter) -
helped her to get into miniature collecting as a hobby to help her through recovery. She had the most beautiful houses, lighted and papered, and that's when the two of them began doing the miniatures.
The mother-in-law was very well to do and money was no object, and she had the most wonderful things.
She has since passed away...clean to the end.
Now all in boxes in an attic also.
She would get up in the morning and dust and re-arrange the houses.
It was a beautiful act of love from her children....

I guess I better think about figuring out where everyone is and if anyone needs a ride to or fro, James is with his maternal grandmother in Shepherdstown too.
