Thank you, Shirley, I do believe I will enjoy it. Might even get out and do some yard work today. That is always good for the soul!!☺

Whoops! I did the split and survived!

Mema Jo said...

I think they were all visitors at the snowman and I didn't get to see the feeders getting filled.

Need to get my street clothes on - I'm not going into the street - too wet and foggy!

One guy left for a while and came back with a jug in his hand and walked around to several trees. It was the 4th guy who stood at the back facing the cameral. Think he had blue on his jacket.

Will do, Norma! Yes, a COWBOY win today would be good for Jack. lol
It will entertain him this afternoon, and that will be good!

Thanks for the Turkey Alert Shirley, they are hard to catch there - beautiful bird, was almost our national bird back in the day

I can't see the glowing chain today at Finland, maybe my clunker eyes

but I CAN SEE YOU MOMSTERS ! ☺

magpie said...

it would be funny to see what those turkeys do when a feed toss occurs

Lolly said...

Just pulled up the Sidney cam. Have to tell a joke on myself. I have several moving ornaments on our tree. One is a marionette Santa whose arms and legs move. It squeaks a little. Well, I had Sidney up yesterday and forgot it. The birds were making a lot of noise and I thought the ornament on my tree was really getting loud. Jack had to remind me the sound was coming for the laptop. AND, he is the one who is deaf in one ear. LOL

magpie said...

that is a goo lol Lolly...☺

Since we've learned about Darth Vader recently, reminded me of funny Xmas story!
A few years ago in TX at Xmas time, ran out of wrapping paper. Sent the Dad & SIL to Wallymart to get some. Sold out~~~they came home w/Star Wars paper!!!!We used it on SIL's presents!! And I took a piece home & used it the next year, too. I've also dwnlded pics of D.V. and printed them out to attach to his packages!

stronghunter said...

Thelma, so sorry about your family's loss.

Judie said...

Hello everyone,

Stopping by for a very brief visit.

Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers. Once again, the strength of our family has proven extraordinary.

Surgery was successful. Cleaned out the existing stents and placed a teflon coated stent inside -- gives new meaning to the words "no stick." Just hope no one wants to use my leg to cook breakfast. Leg and foot are very swollen and red. Maybe because there is blood? Walking is difficult.

I am sleeping most of the time thanks to percocet and keeping the leg/foot elevated.

Have final exams but will have help. Will be in a wheel chair but that's okay.

Go back for a checkup after Christmas. The new surgeon wants to work on the left leg early January so I can be ready for Spring classes.

I have really missed being with you all and plan to try to catch up over the next day or two.

Again, thanks so much for the love and prayers.

Love ya'all.

Judie

stronghunter said...

Judie,

It is wonderful to hear from you! Your hubby is a special guy. He did a marvelous job of keeping us posted.

Glad you will have help for your exams. Please do keep that leg rested.

We love you! We have missed you! (But some of us want to steal Darth.)

Judie said...

Oh, one last thing before I take more drugs.

Frank is quite taken with the blog. Keep telling him he has to be a "dadster" not a "popster."

Oh my, Thelma, so sorry. Sympathy for you and the family.

stronghunter said...

If you read back, Judie, we think "popster" is just fine.

magpie said...

Ditto that, Shirley ☺
about "popster"

do what you need to do to recover completely NOW Judie...please?
xo

magpie said...

I think Jo already did this but I sent an email to Steve about the FWS sites going down, coming up, and going down again...know he probably won't see that until Monday
just FYI

Mema Jo said...

Last time I sent email to Steve, Margy, it came back as not deliverable. It is the same address I have always used for him. Let me know if your email goes through. I thought maybe a Firewall had been set up.

magpie said...

okay Jo - they usually do and he frequently will send a message back, this one seems to have gone through...

now I remember what you said about that yesterday, mind is not doing well today ☺ or is it :(

Mema Jo said...

Judie Judie Judie
I missed you when you were on earlier.
Sure have been thinking of you and praying for you. Happy to hear you are resting! You have a very good caretaker there with you! So glad Darth communicates with us!

Mema Jo said...

You Redskin fans must be glued to the tube!
Hoping your team does as well in the second half as they have in the first half.

paula eagleholic said...

Howdy, all.

Skins are ahead! So far!

Haven't gotten near as much accomplished today as I wanted...brother and family called around 10 to see if I wanted to watch my niece in a cheerleading competition in Gettysburg. I decided not to go, cause I was trying to get all my Christmas decorations and at least the tree up...so they stopped by on their way back and hung out for a couple of hours...which was cool. Nice to see my brother without being at Mom's working on stuff.

So, I'll get done what I get done! Not to mention, I decided to move the furniture around in the living room to try to accomodate the tree a little better...the new vacuum has been put to the test!

paula eagleholic said...

I see our cam is still down :( Wonder what the heck is going on there?

Stoopid blog hung up the computer again when I tried to refresh it...had to close all IE windows and start over a few minutes ago.

magpie said...

Okay Momsters and Popsters, bed time here.
midnight to 6 am shift coming up then two 12's. I think.
Best wishes for a good evening,
Hope all is well or getting there, in all our Eagle corners...will have a look-see at the blog before I go to work later.

By the way: skies hereabouts are clearing and the Geminid Meteor Shower is overnight tonight into early morning, could be good ones...

God Bless Us, Every One
xo ♥

paula eagleholic said...

Hey, Lolly, that's cool about wearing the jersey and getting a discount on your groceries.

Judie - take it easy and get that leg better. Glad you have some help for exams. Glad you felt well enough to get on here for a couple of minutes, I know those percosets can do a number on ya!

paula eagleholic said...

Have a good rest and worknight tonight Margy. I think it's stopped raining here.

gotta go feed the doggies, someone is whining at my elbow!

paula eagleholic said...

WE cam is back on...batteries may have been low...

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Good evening Eagle Buds!! How is everyone this evening?

Lolly said...

Hello all! Bought my groceries, major discount with this jersey I have on. Jack is watching the game, not looking good. I look at it occasionally. I just have too much to do to sit and watch the game.

JUDIE......so glad you were on! We have missed you, but Darth did a GREAT job reporting. Oh, yes, he is now a DADSTER!!!

After grocery shopping I worked in the yard. Blew some leaves and then mowed. It is presently 60, but it got up to 70 today. It was fantastic! Loved being outdoors. Neighbor on one side was mowing, neighbor on other side is busy building his daughter's playhouse. Hammering and sounds of mowers, sounds of great weather.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

So glad to see Judie was on here!! Bless her heart, still praying for continued healing. So sad about Thelma's brother in law. I have made candy this whole day and I am so tired!! Still have peppermint patties to make but tomorrow is another day!!

hedgie said...

Hi ya', Sissy. Doing GOOD here....SKINS up 31-13!!!! WhooHoo!
And Judie was here for a few posts! Praise the Lord, she is doing so well. Sorry I missed you, Judie! Just heal and rest.
Wonder what Mits has been up to today? Hope everything is okay with her! Miss her!

hedgie said...

Sissy and Lolly, you have both been busy bees! Send your weather this way, Lolly, please!
Congrats to Ravens fans!!! BIG win!

hedgie said...

34-13!!! Under 3 minutes to play........I would say that it is almost impossible to lose this one! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!!!

paula eagleholic said...

Yay, Skins are gonna win one!

paula eagleholic said...

Oh, Lolly, that weather sounds luscious!

Sissy, you can send some of those peppermint patties this way! I'll bet they are a PIA to make!

paula eagleholic said...

High temp here at my house today was a balmy 34°!

T-Bird said...

Congrats Ravens, Chargers and the Skins.

Lolly said...

I would send warm breezes your way, if I could. It was just fabulous to get out and enjoy the day. Like I said earlier, good for the soul.

Time to go cook dinner. Tonight tacos and chili rellenos. Jack knows about the tacos, but does not know about the rellenos. He will be happy! COWBOYS did not make him happy.

BBL

Mema Jo said...

Congrats all you Redskins fans.
I know a Germany Gang that will be happy along with all of you here.

hedgie said...

Sorry, Lolly, Jack and Norma.....your 'boys failed you. :(

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Lynne2 said...

Hello all!
Just a quick note...
Thelma, my sympathies for your BIL and your family. Prayers for you and family.
JUDIE! So glad to have you back and prayers for continued healing!
My Mother in law and her hubby were here this weekend and TRIED to get back to Terra Alta....left at 6am. Got home at 2:30 pm. Sat and sat at the bottom of Sidliing Hill due to ice. Thank God they finally got home! A very kind Greyhound bus driver behind them let her use the bathroom!
We sure do miss Raven, it's just not the same here without her. But we are dealing. I got way behind with her being down, and I've got a lot of catching up on chores and shopping and cards and I want everything DONE by Thursday cause I go for my elbow surgery on Friday. We got quite a bit done this weekend and managed to make it to a family party as well.
Andy was that you that watched the Bishop's Wife? It's my favorite too!
Anyone have pictures of your trees/decorations yet on your blogs?
I will check back when I can...my prayers to all of you. I sure hope for all of us it is UNEVENTFUL for the rest of the year!!

paula eagleholic said...

Did they shovel out around the snowman cam or just trample the snow down when those guys visited?

stronghunter said...

I don't think they trampled it down the way it is now, Paula.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Everybody!
Whoa, today has been a rat race! Hit the road running at about 4 am, and haven't really stopped yet!
FANTASTIC to see that Judie has been here for a bit! Am THRILLED that you're doing so well! Lots of prayers for your continued improvement! Enjoy the medication--party on! That stuff can give you quite a buzz! ((((HUGS)))) for you!
Lynne, yup,I'm the one who watched 'The Bishop's Wife' last night. It just isn't Christmastime without it! ((((HUGS)))) for you, too--know your heart is still hurting. Hope being busy helps.
Well, dinner is being prepared, and Hubby will appreciate some help from me. I'll come back later after dinner. Have a wonderful evening, all.
Thelma, special prayers for you, your sister, and her sons in the loss of your ex-BIL. ((((HUGS)))), too. So sorry to hear the news. You'll be in my thoughts & prayers.
Hope all those pups that are with you give you lots of lovin'. They always seem to know when we're feeling down.
Well, gotta run for now--will BBL. Love all of you! :o]

Mema Jo said...

That was shoveled, Paula. The 4 guys didn't really walk around too much.
I thought they would have brushed off
Woody and Ms Goose's hats.

Deer is there now.

Mema Jo said...

ALERT: NCTC EAGLE IS

paula eagleholic said...

Wow, that is a big alert! About the same time as last night, too.

I like the snow on top of Woody's head :)

Mema Jo said...

Of course that is the Still Cam to which I am referring.

paula eagleholic said...

Sure wish FWS would do updates overnight instead of all day long, if that's what they were doing...

Don't they know they are messing with our viewing :)

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks, Jo, thought I was too late for the deet!

Mema Jo said...

Lolly, sorry to you and Jack & Norma about Cowboys. Wish we could get a discount here wearing Skins shirts!!

hedgie said...

Hi, Lynne. Know that your heart is still heavy, but staying busy sure does help. Sorry about your MIL's rough trek home. Glad that your surgery is rescheduled...... not the best timing, but sure that Steve is a helpful hubby and will get you through the holidays.
Andy, you sound like the energizer bunny! Slow down!!

stronghunter said...

Lynne, tell us about the elbow surgery. You are having quite a time right now.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

It is always great to be in Bluefield but it is all good to be back home!

stronghunter said...

Maybe I missed the explanation about the elbow surgery. I haven't been able to read everything on the blog.

NatureNut said...

Checked Snowman cam~~~the bench w/kitty looks like a Giant loaf of bread!
Saw Margy mentioned the meteor shower & I heard earlier on news that East Coast viewing time was around midnight. Fat Chance!!We have nothing but grey, fuzzy clouds!
As they say, gotta go do something, even if it's wrong!

stronghunter said...

The table does look like a giant loaf of bread. I think the snowman is anticipating eating it. That's the reason for the tummy rub.

It looks like the snow has melted a bit and is covered with a layer of ice.

stronghunter said...

Snowman is wearing a chef's hat.

paula eagleholic said...

I will Jo, just haven't decided which I like better, probably the bigger pic.

paula eagleholic said...

Lowreed, did you win your ZHU ZHU pet?

hedgie said...

Heard from Mits....all is well. Busy w/ holiday work and fun! And they went to the game!

Judie said...

Here for a quick goodnight before I climb back under the Sheetz.

So funny, Darth asked about why someone said something to me about Sheetz. He thought the person meant sheets. Had to explain. Good for a laugh again. Thanks Jo.

Okay, back under the Sheetz for more sleep and healing. Turning my light off but leaving the night light on for others. Andy, please set the alarm when you come in.

Love to all,
Judie

hedgie said...

Loretta, did you win the ZhuZhus????? LUCKY! Understand they are really hard to find!
Shirley, Lynne has a compressed nerve inher elbow which has been causing all of the pain and numbness and tingling down her arm into her hand. It was supposed to be a couple of weeks ago, but anesthesiologist wouldn't clear her because of the heart monitor she was on watching for irregular heartbeat.

stronghunter said...

Good night, Judie. Someday, you will have to tell us the real story about the Sheetz thing. I suspect you have been playing with our minds.

Rest well, good friend.

stronghunter said...

Thanks, Lynn. I know that I miss some messages, both here and on the e-mail.

Lynne2 said...

I have Ulnar nerve compression causing numbness and weakness in my pinky and ring fingers and my hand (left). The Dr is just going to move it to a different location, I'll be in a big bandage for a few days, but will have use of the arm. Just another "inconvenience"....another is a big lump that popped up in my breast literally overnight and it's the size of a golf ball. Probably a cyst as usual and I am NOT AT ALL worried about it, but have to back for a mammo and ultrasound tomorrow. AGAIN. Just had one about 6 weeks ago...would have been nice if this had popped up THEN!
Steve is the best...I don't know how I used to get along without him!
I was hoping for a good view for meteors as well, but NOOOOOO. Maybe some leftovers tomorrow...

stronghunter said...

About time for me to get between the Sheetz.

Sort of dozed through the football game, but was awake enough to know they were winning for a change. Finally.

hedgie said...

Love right back atcha', Judie!!! Glad you are doing well enough to check in. Bet Frank thought we were all crazy talking about sheetz!!! But NOW he knows the rest of the story!!!
Hope you have a really good night.
Shhhh, everyone, Judie's going back to bed!

stronghunter said...

Do get that lump checked out, Lynne. I am sure you are right, but play it safe.

stronghunter said...

Well, Frank probably doesn't know about deet, either.

Lynne2 said...

Oh I absolutely would never take a chance with a lump but I have lumps a lot and, well, thank GOD for mammograms, but my my they are a bit uncomfortable!
Wish I could chat longer but gotta hit the rack now. Hope everyone has a good night's rest and prayers for all of you!

stronghunter said...

Good night, Lynne.

Yes, they are uncomfortable. I need to schedule mine. Am a little bit behind, I think. So much else was going on this fall.

Mema Jo said...

Like I told ya Judie - I can't pass a Sheetz store without having a good laugh! And Sheetz are all over in MD...

hedgie said...

Sorry about the new problem, Lynne. But probably nothing too dire, for sure.
Shirley, the Sheetz story is Jo and Judie's---when Judie got a little lost in Shepherdstown, Jo used Sheetz as a reference point, and judie was not familiar with the name and was looking for a store that sold sheets!!

Mema Jo said...

Because of the games my TV show was late starting. Now I am looking over some ornaments I didn't use and trying to decide if I wish to Pitch them or wait to see if any of the children want them. Well one thing for sure is they can't just lay there on the couch!

You know for sure that us Libra people aren't to good at making decisions! lol

Mema Jo said...

Thanks for contact Helen, Lynn. Hope there wasn't too much rain coming down during the Raven's game. I wonder if Ceil was there also?

Mema Jo said...

Prayers are with you Lynne!

stronghunter said...

Yes, Lynn, I know about the Sheetz story, but I always wonder when Judie is playing mind games with us.

stronghunter said...

I left one ornament unhung because it had nothing to hang it with. It was pretty worn out, anyway. Everything else went on the tree. Even the Barbie one, and the one made from part of an egg carton. I suppose I will reach the point at which I will have to dispose of some or put up another tree.

We have so many one-of-a-kind. Someone who wants everything to match up would not like my tree. Many ornaments are gifts; some are the only remaining ornament of a set--probably survivors of puppy-dog attacks. Lots are made at school or at home. Remember Shrinky-dinks? I have some of those. I like my tree!

Mema Jo said...

Our tree is also a hodgepodge assortment of ornaments. All with special meanings!

Mema Jo said...

I am going to get ready to go down the hall.........

Good Night All!
Prayers for all!
((hugs)) ♥ ♥ ♥

stronghunter said...

I remember one time when Judie was playing mind games--she seemed confused, and I tried to explain and found out she was leading us on! Now, does that sound like our dear Judie? Do not remember the details now.

All the holiday festive stories on hear are great, very heart-warming and cozy.

I like our E-M home page but it sure was nice to bring up the blog with the favorites tab instead, thanks for the alert Jo ! ☺

I spent a lot of money at Michael's in Hagerstown Saturday...think I have a sticker collection to last a year, or, a whole bunch of Stocking stuffers...

magpie said...

Well, guess I have my typing fingers ready for work, now have to talk to myself to see if I have a voice.

See you Precious Pals sometime Monday....

Hope a few more Momsters and Dadsters check in, including Wanda the Tiger....

Hope all are well...

Margy, if you're going to work, be careful out there!!! ☺

Costume Lady said...

Oh, I am checking in, Margy. Long day. Spent part of it skating across the church parking lot...then skating on my Mom's driveway. Visited there for a while. Then took Dustin home to Berryville Moose (met Karla and Donny there)Drank a BIG cup of coffee and played a tip board game called LOW BALL. I won a basket of cheese, crackers, Summer sausage and a bottle of wine...sounds like a picnic, doesn't it?:) Always have fun over there, but the smoke in the room gets to me. When we leave there, I feel as if I had been smoking:(

Going to say nite now, don't want to be the LAST one;)

GOOD NIGHT MY DEARS
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

Forgot...what a treat to hear from Judie and that she is considering having the other leg done.

Love you Judie, but we ARE going to miss Dadster Darth:)

Margy, have a good night....glad it's short! Christie is on 3 twelves at Jefferson--7p-7a. Been a while since she's done that!

Shirley, I have alot of egg-carton ornaments,; don't use them anymore----gold paint has turned and looks like verde-gris (sp??). But lots of fun memories from making them with an art teacher neighbor back in '72!!!

I'm getting ready to hit the hay. Need to have the dog at the vet by 8:30 for her eyelid surgery---hoping the roads don't ice up overnight.

Good night all. Peace and Prayers!

Night Wanda!
Glad Judie is back but now under the Sheets!
Lynne, hope all your ailments are quickly remedied.
Altho it's foggy here, if you look straight up, can see some stars. I might check on anything dashing thru the sky~~~no, won't be Santa.
Yes, I won some Zhu Zhus on ebay. They have tons, altho most retail stores are sold out.
Nighty-nite to All
Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)

Cooked dinner then settled down to watch Slum-dog Millionaire. Interesting movie, I enjoyed it. Not my usual kind of movie, but it was good.

Going out in a minute to check the skies. Should be clear. It got up to 72 today and supposed to go up into the 60's tomorrow and then Tues an arctic front comes in. Brrrr! Would have liked to have shared today's weather with you.

I too have an egg carton ornament on my tree. Think Michael's picture is on it,. I have a hodgepodge of ornaments, but the majority of ornaments are Santa's. I have a collection of hundreds of Santa's and the last few years it has narrowed down to ornaments. (No more room for anymore Santa's)

Well...we bundled up and went outside for about 30 minutes or so. Left my post hanging. Anyway, I saw two good meteorites, we both saw several small ones and possibly one owl. LOL It is really beautiful out.

Tomorrow I am going to finish up my shopping. I am just down to the last few things and they are at scattered stores. Oh, well. Also, have Christmas letters and packages to mail. Then I am going to do some baking.

Margy, Jack says a first class ticket, and his usual consulting fee and he will stamp and seal your Christmas cards.☺

Nite all! Sweet dreams!

Oh, and GOOD MORNING earlybirds!!!!

Hi, Everyone!
I've got the movie 'Holiday Inn' on 'pause' so I can drop in here and say goodnight. Hope someone is still awake.
So glad to see that Judie has been back here to say hello. Imagine that the redness and swelling in your leg is a normal thing for that type of surgery--it's pretty invasive. Prayers that it clears up very soon! It's good to know that Frank/Darth is taking good care of you. Tell him we'd all get a kick out of hearing from him once in a while, too! He's been very good about updating all of us about you, and we really appreciate it. Bet it feels SO good to be able to get some deep sleep without the pain you were going through! You truly have some catching up to do.
(((HUGS)))! Well, think I'll say goodnight. It's been a LONG, busy day, and I'm tuckered out! Prayers for everyone, for all our needs. Dana, thinking about you tonight, too! (((HUGS))) for you!
The night light is once again visible over the nest, the porch light is on for late visitors, and the eye scanner is enabled. Don't slam the door and wake up Judie! Sleep tight, and will talk to you in the morning. Good night, and God bless! :o]
