Howdyyyy hope everyone is bantining down the hatches and preparing for the huge snow storm heading our way on east coast starting tonight into Sunday morning... My son severly broke his ankle and foot and has temp. cast on cant get into Ortho til Monday hope eh doesnt need surgery to repair it :(
Glad Lynn is home and recovering.. Going to call Dana and check on her.. Everyone stay in stay warm and Jo i think were going to have a White Christmas..lol another storm is behind this one.. Hugs, Nilla
Hi Nilla! The storm behind this one is the one that has me worried unless it starts early am hours on Christmas day! My get together is always Christmas eve.
I wonder how close to home Sissy and Sharon are now? Their snow has started earlier than expected. I keep looking out the windows here expecting to catch the first flakes. Sure hope it's not until later. People need to get home from work! We pulled the grill up close to the Patio door in case needed. My one fear is loss of electricity. I have all my oxygen tanks filled + the very large emergency one. Guss I am good to go.
I have it up Paula and saw the exit.. That 1 branch sure is a big one in the nest.. Yeah doctors said it really abad break and that worries me as to having surgery to repair it.. Guess i should go out and get some groceries in..
Nilla get ready for the grocery store jam if you're going. Hope your son's ankle doesn't need surgery but I bet it does. I hope they wrapped it well until he can get it x-rayed and treated.
fortunately, we have a gas stove and plenty of wood for fireplace, just got a whole cord a few weeks ago, and have leftovers from last year....Jo, since snow is coming from the south, they will get it first down there.
Jo my heartaches when i think of Belle sitting in all that ice and snow on those eggs the other year we watched all night and waited :( Im with you i have candles ready.. Heard in NYC and Long Island they will have up to 50 MPH winds also so sad this time of year..
OK, somebody said the S word....I heard it... This storm looks to be a real doozy. Hello everybody:) Survived the grocery store, now time to batten down the hatches outisde.
Well my grandaughter Rosa who just turned 11 in Nov just came in from school and she announced to me she is now a little lady... Wow they grow up so fast :)) what a Christmas Present..lol
More good news grandson just came in and said his girlfreind of 4 years got her drivers license.. I knew she was good driver ilet her drive my car last night when we went to check on my son..
Been extra busy calculating grades and was really, really tired after the last police class last night.
Lynne, so happy you are home and hope the recovery will be swift and painless.
Nilla, a prayer for your son's ankle. Hope it won't surgery serious.
Okay, everyone take extra care with the storm heading in. Nothing here, yet. We have to go out tonight but do truly wish I could stay in. Jo, glad you're prepared.
Margy, love the picture of James. Please drive carefully and I hope the shift is quiet and uneventful. Hope the crazies will stay home and out of trouble.
Andy, hope you have a wonderful time away for a few days. Enjoy! You've earned it.
I just got home from PO & pharmacy!!---GOOD to see you NILLA!---WE have all missed you!!----Is that the son that was in a motorcycle a year or so back?
Hi all! First time today for me to get on. Have 8 coffee cakes rising. Was able to get 4 in the oven to rise as lite bulb will keep them warm. lol Put the other 4 out in the van parked in the sun. Up to 60 today and bright sunshine. No snow here!
I listen to you talking about snow and expect to look out and see here!
Margy, love James picture!
Paula, love the wreath avatar!
Has Lynne been heard from today? I scanned the blog quickly but did not see anything.
Well, Paula, I will be able to get out of there, if replacements can get INTO there, fortunatly I have vacation days and they can't mess with me too much.....
Right Paula. It is really coming down in Bedford. Sharon and Beverly are not far from home but it is hard to tell how long it will take them to move the last 20 min. of the trip.
Hey MagPie r u working tonight?? Just talked to Jill City Magistrate she said she will be busy hahaha all the you know whats will be turning themselves in for a 3 hots n cot with snow coming..lol Hopefully people will go slow and stay safe on the roads..
Hi again...I'm doing very well!! Have pretty good use of my arm and not too sore although tender at the incision site. Can't take the bandage off til TUESDAY and I forgot to ask how big the incision is. I'm just so glad that is over and done with now!
Home again, home again, jiggety-jig. Actually been home awhile, but had to put stuff away, and catch a runaway dog! Luckily, still had truck in driveway and she thought we were going for a ride! Open the door and she jumped up to be lifted in and I grabbed her---whew. She is TOTALLY DEAF when not on leash!! Before I catch up, just want to wish Margy a good shift, and hoping that she gets off on time and home safely.
Hahaha Hedgie i had the same here almost i was going out to turn car around so its facing out in drive way and Spike our Lab wanted to go along so he gets in front seat thinking were going to Micky Ds for Double Cheese Burgers.. But he was happy to ride in drive way..lol
Hedgie i just relized your tree is the same tree my daughter saw going to Capitol on trailor few weeks ago on Rt 81.. She called me and said it wa huge and covered with a tarp that people had signed from all over United States they passed though..
Happy Evening to Everyone! Just got home. Had Park Staff Lunch Party & the maintenance guys said they saw at least 1/2 dozen eagles in AM down by the further boat ramp. Checked there when leaving & didn't see any :>( & none by the nest. Got some greens and winterberries, & holly for my indoor deco. Stopped at grocery & went to Chelsea for a short time, went to shoe store & found those high suede & fuzzy lined boots & got some waterproof spray, just in case I go out. I guess they're what is called Uggs!? Our wonderful Park Dir. said don't come in tomorrow!Fubby said he wasn't letting me out anyway!
Just when I was wondering where Megan was hiding, there she is!! How is your SIL, Megan? Nilla, so sorry about your son.....been there, done that---stuck for three days before they would cast due to swelling. Ouch! Sure hope he doesn't require surgery. Stores were crowded (grocery and WalMart) but not too bad; check-outs a little slow. I am DONE from all angles. Don't NEED to go anywhere to get anything for at least a week or 10 days!
Margy, be careful. Will you spend the night if it's bad? Got all the out of town cards~~some with $ presents yesterday. Gotta do the locals & found some neat labels I was running out of at a Staples. Din din time~~~ ☺
That seems to be the area where most of the quakes occur in VA. THanks for heads-up, Lynne. Oh, so glad the girls made it safely! Sorry YOU didn't get to see all those eagles, Loretta. I got some fake Uggs a while back---wore them once already and feet stayed very warm!
Following Sharon and Beverly on FB Sharon is putting up pics along the highway - like a jack knifed tractor trailer The Jefferson cam shows like a white out and cars have slowed down (most of them have)
Glad to see you made it home safely.. Now have acup of coffee or hot chocolate and relax from your stressful drive.. I have ham bean soup almost finished need to make rivels an add them.. Now im thinking i dont kow if makeing bean soup was good idea being snow bound with ahouse full of people..lol
Well, it is so good to be safe and sound! What a trip that was. Now, I am going to drink a cup of coffee and type for a little while. A woman's work is never done! :)
Wasnt that neat to see Hedgie i have seen it before but this eruption was like 4000 ft down.. Have you seen the Hawiian Volcano flowing into the ocean?? Well i guess i better head out into the cold to brave the long lines at grocery store :((
On a quik note: Jon N Kate Gosselins divorce is final as of today.. She gets the house and primary custody of the 8 kids.. AND he will pay alot of child support and he will need to get a real job...lol
My coffee cakes are done. Like having money in the bank. Coffee cake is our breakfast Christmas morning, will give some away and the rest go into the freezer to be pulled out when desired! Wahoo!
Tomorrow I plan to bake cinamon rolls. They are Laurel and the boys as they LOVE cinnamon rolls.
Thanks Lynne, for the report. Glad you are doing so well.
Sissy and Sharon glad you are safe and sound. Hate traveling when the weather is so bad. Stay warm and snug! So strange, listening to your weather on the news....we are doing just beautifully! Nice weather here.
Nilla, I have only seen it on TV and in pics.....have never been lucky enough to go to Hawaii. Christie (the daughter you met) has been twice with dad and hubby. :(
Waiting for my eldest SIL to show up with a load of wood......better to have too much than to run out if (when!)we lose power. If I disappear tomorrow, you will know that either power is out or I haven't made it 20' to clean off the dish!! Thanks for reminder about the grill, Jo----just moved mine closer to the front door so I don't have to shovel an extra 15' feet on the deck! I'm sure Dana will be okay.....she has relatives who live very close who will look out for her. I think she said two and three trailers down.
Been running around again yep again today getting more papers together for Mondays meeting if not snowed in.
Tee Hee Hedgie you are so good to think like others on her about me and this snow. 3 down no help 4th down no help who then me me me then there is myself then I.
Decided to stay in and hope not to handle a shovel. Dreaming it will all be gone before Monday afternoon.

Weeweechu!
It's a romantic full moon, when Pedro said, "Hey, mamacita, let's do Weeweechu."
Oh no, not now, let's look at the moon!" said Rosita.
Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I do Weeweechu. I love you and it's the perfect time," Pedro begged.
"But I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon." replied Rosita.
Please, corazoncito, just once, do Weeweechu with me."
Rosita looked at Pedro and said, "OK, one time, we'll do Weeweechu."
Pedro grabbed his guitar and they both sang.....
"Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year."
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
Nilla how awful about your son!!! He must be in some kind of pain...prayers for him for sure!
Okay ! Was hoping to see Hedgie on here before I left !! ☺
Whoo, hear ya' Nilla, could be busy filling up the ERJ Hilton tonight...

Bev posted on Facebook about 45 minutes ago, they were in Princeton...how far are they from home are they? There are pics, too. Looks bad. PRAYERS
be careful Margy!!!!!!
VA Quake
small earthquake in VA...you can click on the MAP tab to see the location.
Map is already showing snow in Romney and Winchester. Getting closer. Sure hope Sis and Shar are home by now.
Margy, be careful. Will you spend the night if it's bad?
Got all the out of town cards~~some with $ presents yesterday. Gotta do the locals & found some neat labels I was running out of at a Staples.
Din din time~~~ ☺
Sharon and Bev have made it safe in Bluefield. Thank goodness!
Not sure how far Princeton is, Lyyne. Don't know much about this states' geography outside of the panhandle!
Hey, Lowreeda!!! Good to see you.
Good news Thelma!!! wheww....bet they are glad to be home. Thank God for their safe return!!!
Steve has dinner almost ready (I am liking this whole being waited on hand and foot thing!)
BBL
Now we need to worry about Shirl;ey getting home okay from Culpeper.....
Hi, Judie---good to see you on!
Following Sharon and Beverly on FB
Sharon is putting up pics along the highway - like a jack knifed tractor trailer The Jefferson cam shows like a white out and cars have slowed down (most of them have)
Evening, all!
Going to feed the dogs, of course they are starving, I never feed them!
Then going to head out to Wally world, then up to bar where John works for some dinner and a drink!
Catch ya'll later!
Thanks for the update Thelma! Just goes to prove that our blog is faster and more informative then FB. lol
You can say that again Mema Jo!
Wow Momsters and Dadsters!! That was the BIG adventure! Took 9 hours to get to Bedford and back. Two and a half hours down and six and a half back!!!
Cool deep ocean volcano eruption showed on CBS news....really neat!! Almost instantaneous cooling into rock!
Checking out some of our eagle cams..
Xcel Energy Eagle cam
They must visit their nest for nestorations. This is in the 8am
time frame
Nilla, you have mail!
Hi all! Snowing here. I stopped at the grocery store on the way home. It was pretty crazy. Have seen it worse, but still very busy.
I saw the first flake at the grocery store parking lot. Just one flake.
Can you all get the still cam? I have a message that says I'm "not authorized to view this page." Secret doings at the eagle nest?
I'm tired and happy to be at home. Hope everyone else is safe.
Nilla, so sorry about your son.
I got the same message, Shirley. They must have done a background check on us. LOL What else?
We have been to the BIG ISLAND once. I did NOT want a 60th birthday party. Jack took me to Hawaii instead. We hiked over the lava fields.
Does that mean they are doing hp?
Waiting for my eldest SIL to show up with a load of wood......better to have too much than to run out if (when!)we lose power. If I disappear tomorrow, you will know that either power is out or I haven't made it 20' to clean off the dish!!
Thanks for reminder about the grill, Jo----just moved mine closer to the front door so I don't have to shovel an extra 15' feet on the deck!
I'm sure Dana will be okay.....she has relatives who live very close who will look out for her. I think she said two and three trailers down.
Maybe we are too young to watch, Lolly.
Ok Lynn i sent you mail.. Now i am definatly off to brave the crazies at store!!! Hey i fit right in.. Jo dont answer that...lol
