Good morning! Whew! What a chatty group! Takes me forever to get here. Have to go back to last night where I left off. lol
Thanks Steve for the new thread. When I first got on the time was stuck, or whatever, but was thrilled to shortly see we were back in working order.
Thanks for the list of diners, Jo. Wow! Paula, Loreeeeeeda, and Suz get to attend. Sometimes they don't because of work. Guess Suz does not have a new job yet.

Well good morning everyone. No cam :-( Dex and I are off for a walk with his chariot since its finally not raining..
Receiving H1N1 today and giving them out to all residents in shelter as well. I sure hope no side effects as I get to see my family in Springfield next week for Thanksgiving. It will be the first Thanksgiving with family in many many a year. So of ocurse I am excited. Also grateful to have access to the shot do to the type of facility I work at.
If someone would email me a copy of Debs tributeI would be very grateful I can never open attachments fromt he Momster group. Have no clue why not must be a setting. But i would so love to see and read it. Thanks in advance.
Oh thank Sharon Read teves intro and didn't even try as I am so late even being able to get here. Good thing I am retired. I do have an interesting schedule. And you bet I do make time to play everyday. We are back from our stroll. I will turn on the cam.
I'm going to put on a nice bright yellow sweater, grab my yellow scarf, my camera, carry my work beeper and get OUTSIDE in the local Wild..maybe the city park, and have some quiet time. Will check back later on things...xoxo
Hi, Everyone, Getting here later than usual again, but want you to know I'm thinking of all of you, and Deb. 1:30 PM is approaching back there, and will be joining you in the toast to Deb. Take care driving home--just in case the weather doesn't cooperate. It's bright, sunny and crisp here. Got down to 45 last night, but will warm up to 77 later. Going now, to read Deb's Tribute. :o}
thunderstorms here too. just as I entered city park at a little after one, thunder rolled, there I was with my umbrella so I ducked under shelter. Right at 1:30 it absolutely poured. It was a really nice lunch with great company, of course. Lynn's tribute was printed out and given to some...Jo read Lynn's poem at 1:30 and we all toasted to Deb.
Pictures of Deb and Koo (done by Loretta), and Belle and Lib pic taken by Deb were also given to all in attendance.
I brought the South Dakota magazine with the article about the osprey reintroduction program and the pictures taken by Deb.
And lots of hugs and good spirit in memory of Deb!
Everyone is headed back home now...raining pretty good here, so safe travel wishes going out again, I'm sure it will take awhile for everyone outside of Frederick to get home.
And it was super nice meeting Lynne2 and seeing Lori eagleicious again.
Good Afternoon All! Our luncheon gathering was fantastic. All 13 that I mentioned before arrived by 1:00. It was so great to see them all. We had very good service!! Loretta gave everyone there a laminated photo of Deb & Koo and Jo gave everyone a wallet size photo of Deb's Photo of Liberty & Belle! Paula brought the magazine with Deb's photos & Janie's osprey article from South Dakota last season. At 1:30 we raised our glasses to Deb and read Lynn's final words that she had printed on the blog. NO ONE GOT ANY DESSERT ! Lynn, Wanda and Mary Margaret took pics & you will see them soon. Missed all of you!
I received a most magnificent Eagle Scarf in the mail today from a dear friend, and had the mail been delivered earlier, I would have been wearing it on my outing in the park ☺ So I will just wear it right now.
Best wishes for a good evening to all, will be looking forward to all the Momsters checking back in from their roosts
Night light is coming on...I think our Eagles need to at least show up and fluff up the nesting a little

makes perfect sense to me, SD zoo was a little dissappointed he was not named after their fair city, but, they were happy it was a great honor to his wonderful Giant Panda Mom
Good Afternoon Everyone! Just got home about 15 min. ago from Frederick Mem. Luncheon for Deb. Was a nice get together, wonderful food, and beautiful restaurant. Many thanks for those who planned this and we got to meet Lynne2! Coming home, the Beltway was horrible---could almost walk home faster. Hope everyone else got home safely. I feel like a panda nap!
Lynn and I arrived safely home. We had a nice drive listening to Il Divo singing AMAZING GRACE, among other things. Lunch was delicious and the company was even better. We must have the greatest group in the whole world:) We ALWAYS have fun and a lot of laughs. Lowreeda's hubby, Frank was there and he provided us with a few laughs also! It was so nice to meet Lynne2. She is a sweet and fun person...she now has her Eagle Beads, so she is offically a Momster:) Dutches Daughter is a very nice restaurant, food was super and the service was excellent!
We are home also. Accident on 70 not a bad one thank heaven. Helen I had a gin there was no tonic in it and it was in a water glass. Great luncheon. Many laughs and at 1:30 Jo read Lynn's prayer and we raised our glassed to you Deb. Food was good and the little girl who served us was on the ball.
Lynne hasn't checked in yet. I know she was in the same traffic jam we were and she had to go onto the beltway. Jo Kristin is so nice just like her mom. We found out that Lori knows Helen's son Kevin. So nice to have her join us. We are so lucky. Thank you God for these great people.
No,Magpie, this weather is not really pleasant for these old joints (and the new one too)!
I wish I lived closer to all of you so I could visit and join in all the special functions.
Was reading about those using the beltway and I'm allergic to the beltway; so I'd have to find another way to get down there. I actually freeze up going near there and I'm not the one driving!!
I'm a country girl who lives in an area where we still have back roads and farms and I know most of them so try to avoid traffic. Jim and our kids threaten to put blinders on and heavily sedate me. I'm terrible riding shot-gun, but my navigational skills keep me in the front seat. ;-)
Where are our eagles? Missed them lately and when I'm just sitting here waiting - nothing!!! Luck of the Irish my foot!
just to look and listen to all the lovely things you luncheoneers have to report ..☺ ♥ is surely a blessing - so I am just going to be quiet and do that....
Sharon, I forgot to tell you the other morning when I was up way too early and tried to go back to sleep, I heard the TRAIN whistles going by down by the river and thought of you. I know it's not your Train, but it reminded me of you nonetheless. Soon you'll see them in person.
Hi gang! Trying to catch up on blog and email since I'm out of penalty, but phone calls have had me tied up. What a wonderful afternoon we had today! Good food and GREAT company!! Hope everyone enjoyed themselves!
Oh, Glo, I am so sorry I missed sending you the Tribute......I lost my Momster email list last week, and thought I had gotten everybody back on, but sorry tos ee that I missed you. So many couldn't open my attachment.....please go to Momsters Yahoo page---Paula posted it there!
Wow, what a great lunch....I am so glad to finally meet some momsters and Fubby dadster in person! And I now have my official Eagle Beads...thanks again Wanda!
I missed the traffic... I got off 70 at Sykesville and came down the back way. Sure glad everyone made it home safely!
I wish we could have hung out longer...was getting the feeling that things could have been just "warmin' up" when we all left....bet you guys are a hoot to hang out with for a day!! Can't wait for the chance to do so, and hopefully meet the rest of you!
Loretta and Jo both gave us very nice tokens in memory of Deb---so appreciate them! Margy, did you call my cell and and say that it was thundering in the park!!!! Didn't recognize the number and told Wanda it must have been a wrong #!!!!
Lynne - glad you are back on your roost, yeah, a dayful of Momstering and Dadstering is quite an experience ☺
Lynn - glad you are back on YOUR roost too..yes, it was I, and I realized later I should have signed my name to the message... ROFLMBO - I ducked into shelter until the thunder stopped, but the rain never stopped ! ☺
Also Lynn - I forwarded the email and picture to Glo, she has received, and read it...and was moved as we have all been by it, also I got the packet in the mail to Norma today.
Diann, no beltway involved for nest activities, or even for Frederick!! Just the Dc area and Balto area folks have that to mess with! We DO expect you come spring for a nest visit!
So cool that lori knows Kevin and Annie!! It's a small world after all....etc.!
Lynne took pics, too! I have a feeling mine aren't going to be too good----I haven't figured something oout yet for flash pics......duh....
I put a few of my City Park pictures up on Magpie's Roost - this here old umbrella hardly kept me dry....I really needed one of those silly hats with an umbrella attached....so my picture-taking suffered a little. Saw cardinals, juncoes, Titmice, and mourning doves but there was not taking pictures of them! My pants were covered in hitchhikers...cockleburs...I'm sure Deb had to be laughing with me!
Okay, Margy----added your cell # to my list...somehow I had lost it after you and james cames backfrom your Mass. trip! Thanks for sending everything on. MM got a hard copy today.
Hi, Gang, Jumping in to let you know I'll soon be leaving for school. Hope the luncheon went well (bet it did!). I was with you in spirit, if not in the flesh. Say some prayers for me for school tonight-- I might have an exam. Thanks for that in advance! Will be back later after school. Have a great evening! Love you guys. :o] :o] :o]
she is not leaving till September 2011...I did not like her when she did the a.m. show in Baltimore, then she really got full of herself when she moved the Chicago, so never have watched her
Oprah Winfrey's production company says Winfrey will announce Friday that her talk show will end in 2011 after its 25th season on the air.
Chicago-based Harpo Productions Inc. said Thursday night that the talk show host will give more details live on the "The Oprah Winfrey Show" broadcast Friday.
Winfrey started her broadcasting career in Nashville, Tenn., and Baltimore, Md., before relocating to Chicago in 1984 to host WLS-TV's morning talk show "A.M. Chicago."
That show was renamed "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in 1985.
A year later, Winfrey established Harpo and her talk show went into syndication. In 1990, Winfrey opened Harpo Studios in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood.
Still a long way off. But she is going to form her own cable network....called O, of course. Mits, I have only watched her occassionally when a guest of real interest was scheduled. Taped the Palin show last week, but haven't watched it yet----will get to it this weekend.
Been reading and I didn't notice Ceil went missing!!! 'course I was further down the table! Paula, will think Pink! You're too young to already be a G'ma!(but you got married at 11 yrs. old, right? That's what I say ☺) Andrea, bestest wishes for your test~~~know you'll do well!
this is what I get when I try to access still cam....

I forgot to mention that Lori came to the luncheon. She has a wonderful personality and loves Lib & Belle...she said she thinks we are very special people and is as anxious as we are for a new nesting season. Jo's daughter, Kristen came along with her. She sounds exactly like Jo when she talks. Jo is so lucky to have such a wonderful and caring daughter. Would like her to become a Momster and get on here with us. She has a very warm personality as does ALL of Jo's children that we have met. They love their Mama:)
Also...we got to see photos of BABY BEN. He is handsome, just like his Dad;) Helen had school picts. of the M&M sisters. So cute! You miss so much when you have to miss one of our gatherings. LOVE YOU GUYS!
Lynn I have never had this one show up before, when the cam was down...sure looks like we were being watched over by "big Brother"...no I try not to call at dinner time, then it is bath time, then it is bedtime...I'll catch up with him tomorrow or will email him.
Ok, I am back. Jack grilled steaks and they were yummy!
As I was saying, your lunch sounded great. I am sure Deb was smiling down on all of you.
I went shopping today. Found four cute tops for Laurel's birthday. Will give her $$ as well to purchase slacks. She needs them since she has lost weight. Not that she needed to loose a lot, but what she lost makes her look fantastic! How many folks are 5'11" and wear a size 8. Not me!
After shopping I purchased 3 flats of pansies and got 1 free. OMG. I then had 4 flats of pansies to plant. Came home cleaned the patio and then planted pansies. Also helped Jack collect another 1 1/2 buckets of pecans.
Rain is supposed to start after midnight tonight, so no yard work tomorrow.
PAULA, about Sidling Hill...yes, that is the way to Deep Creek. Wonderful drive in the Fall. We were too late to see the beauty mountains, but still a little color.
Lolly - they checked the bean count quite awhile ago, but it was way too early to check sex....sonogram for DIL is tomorrow morning...will find out sex then.
Stopping by to good night. Pouring rain here. Will had to go unclog a gutter in the mess. Glad he is here to take care of it. If the gutter gets stopped up, the basement floods.
Have to call it quits now. Rus just called to ask if I can have 2 bedrooms ready for him and his girlfriend to stay here at Thanksgiving. He may end up bringing two people--girlfriend and a guy who doesn't have family to spend the holiday with. They may go into shock when they meet the crowd we will have. At least I'm not hosting the group of 28.
yeah they wrapped that episode up all up in a tidy box...got all 3 holidays..was surprised they actually were play real Christmas songs in the background
Just popping in to say goodnight....we are having a THUNDERSTORM!! And it's 62F right now, about 7 degrees warmer than when I got home after lunch! Wanda, I'm guessing you've been down 68 in the spring when the Redbud trees are in bloom. OH MY GOSH it's the most beautiful drive then, too. Prayers for all and sweet dreams my friends!

Eagles have suddenly departed BWO.
New blog entry at SD. I still can't believe our name entry didn't win. "Son of Cloud" just doesn't do it in English, not for a boy-bear.
I thought of calling him "YZ" like we did "ZZ" and "Squiggles." But I think I'll continue with "Diego." How about you??
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
I agree Jim, I still like Diego
Thanks for posting the Tribute to Deb on momsters site, Paula.
I'll take a look there first, and then if I need another copy, I'll ask you. OK?
Still missing her special, positive inputs on this blog and in the emails.....
God bless her.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Sharon
I do...and need to know, is there a deadline for the magazine project? I got something from Mattie....
I'll check back in a little while. back is saying Lie Flat !
Diego is either doing some crawling exercises or the olympic breaststroke right now.

Jim, You should be able to save it right off the group site...
If there is a deadline Margy, I am not aware of it.

That made my day!
Awww, tell Kristen we think she is pretty special, too!
I second that emotion Paula....in fact, you can tell Kristen she has a really nice group of family.
I went looking for yellow, and heart shaped leaves, found both, just about at 1:30...it's on the avatar.
I totally agree, Margy!
Hey, where have Sharon and Sissy been? Lurking again? :)
I received a most magnificent Eagle Scarf in the mail today from a dear friend, and had the mail been delivered earlier, I would have been wearing it on my outing in the park ☺

Hello eagle momsters and dadsters.
Jim saw your post this a.m.......

Gosh my memory. Wanda the pictures are great. Loretta and Jo thanks so much for the rememberances of Deb.
Mits, did you say TRAIN? :)
Diann...maybe we just need to make a road trip up to where YOU are...sounds very lovely to me ☺
Not a train whistle do I hear Sharon that I do not think of you!
Sharon, I forgot to tell you the other morning when I was up way too early and tried to go back to sleep, I heard the TRAIN whistles going by down by the river and thought of you. I know it's not your Train, but it reminded me of you nonetheless. Soon you'll see them in person.
BTW - When we hear those train whistles so clearly here it means wind is from the east/southeast and rain is in the offing.
Hope it doesn't rain on Sharon's train.
Diann I don't like the beltway or 95 or 83 but got to use them.
Diann- you probably wouldn't hit the beltway on the way to Shepherdstown...only if you're going to Baltimore or DC area!
Paula is the big reveal day tomorrow:)?
Great pics, Wanda!
That Sidling Hill that you were discussing the other day...is that the pass that is cut through the mountains that you take to get to Deep Creek Lake?
Hi gang! Trying to catch up on blog and email since I'm out of penalty, but phone calls have had me tied up.
What a wonderful afternoon we had today! Good food and GREAT company!!
Hope everyone enjoyed themselves!
We had a very nice toast to Deb....sure that she was smiling down on us.
Yup, THINK PINK! (it's too late to change anything, really, but what the heck!)
I think they are supposed to drop by after she gets the sonogram...it's being done here in Frederick.
fingers crossed:)
Heading home....later!
Hello everyone!
Just saw on Twitter that Oprah has decided to quit her talk show!
Saline cam - has guy on it right now explaining something...... Need to go look.
Some ladies stopped at our table and wanted to know where we got our eagle beads!
I put a few of my City Park pictures up on Magpie's Roost -
this here old umbrella hardly kept me dry....I really needed one of those silly hats with an umbrella attached....so my picture-taking suffered a little.
Saw cardinals, juncoes, Titmice, and mourning doves but there was not taking pictures of them!
My pants were covered in hitchhikers...cockleburs...I'm sure Deb had to be laughing with me!
there ain't nothing like people pictures though and it sure is fun to see you friends from this afternoon ☺
He is setting up the feeder......
Okay, Margy----added your cell # to my list...somehow I had lost it after you and james cames backfrom your Mass. trip!
Thanks for sending everything on. MM got a hard copy today.
Can't wait to meet you too Lynne! We are a hoot to hang out with for a day!
Sharon - Oprah must have some other project coming up! Did they say anything?
Mits I didn't know you found Ceil under the table! I thought she was at the loo!
Copied from twitter!
todayshow
NBC confirms that Oprah Winfrey has decided to end her talk show. #oprah
Hi, Gang,
Jumping in to let you know I'll soon be leaving for school.
Just saw where she was going to tape her last show September 9, 2011.
Still a long way off. But she is going to form her own cable network....called O, of course. Mits, I have only watched her occassionally when a guest of real interest was scheduled. Taped the Palin show last week, but haven't watched it yet----will get to it this weekend.
35 shopping days til Christmas! ARGH!
I don't even watch then..hate they way she interrupts people
Been reading and I didn't notice Ceil went missing!!! 'course I was further down the table!
Paula, will think Pink! You're too young to already be a G'ma!(but you got married at 11 yrs. old, right? That's what I say ☺)
Andrea, bestest wishes for your test~~~know you'll do well!
when I got home the temp was 56°, now it is 64°
My cam or the FWS website is not working.
Paula, when you come back on, was going to search for eagle nest in Boyd's Maryland, but it was raining cats and dogs, on the way back home...
I'll see if mine is working BRB
Gee---I'm down from 53 emails to 21!!! Almost time for Jeopardy---break time!
hmmm that warning looks more serious than when cam is just down because of FWS issues...
but FWS sites are down again...
Thanksgiving day weather forecast---high of 49! Yuck.
Mits, she's not the only one who interrupts-----they are all RUDE!
this is what I get when I try to access still cam....

for sure, Lynn, that is why I never watch ANY talk show...
hubby home, off to fix dinner
That is what I get too. Big brother? :)
Such is life......
Cold Case 8 pm
Mentalist 10 pm
That's my evening viewing pleasure!
I'm chicken to try the still cam again. I just turned it off awhile ago~~~~~nothing but hazy look and some web strands. Is it raining there, I wonder?
Gonna nibble some leftovers ☺
Also...we got to see photos of BABY BEN. He is handsome, just like his Dad;) Helen had school picts. of the M&M sisters. So cute! You miss so much when you have to miss one of our gatherings.
LOVE YOU GUYS!
So far so good on opening up FWS here....are some of you still having trouble ?
Oh pictures of children: I am envious !
we were Margy, but it is fine noe
Oh, wow! Sounds like you all had a great day. Fantastic! So, what is this about Ceil going under the table? Interesting lunch!
Whoops! Steaks are ready!
BBL
that's now...
Yep, Margy, the M&M girls are just as cute as they can be!! And Mr. Benjamin, too! Kevin is going to take him to a Mount game!!!
Mits, that's the message that was popping up a couple of weeks ago, too, on ALL FWS sites! I thought we had been banned, remember?? :(
I was just teashing her Lolly, she had a G&T for lunch...I was jealous, wanted to have a bloody mary, but was driving...:(
Mits, did you call Kevin and Annie and tell them about Lori?
so I slept through it....☺
Jo, Cold Case is on Sundays..Survivor is on now, then CSI and then your fav show The Mentalist
darn just missed a great sunset at the Grand Canyon....still a little pink
Lynn I have never had this one show up before, when the cam was down...sure looks like we were being watched over by "big Brother"...no I try not to call at dinner time, then it is bath time, then it is bedtime...I'll catch up with him tomorrow or will email him.
Sooooo, who took the group picture of everyone? and a great picture it was!
I still can't believe that NO ONE had dessert though....
Food was too good to need dessert, Margy!
Where is Paula with the news??? Maybe they found twins ans she passed out!
Calling it a night early...
Thinking of all...hope the day winds down in a good way.
Thanks again, Luncheoneers...for your tributes to Deb, and for all the good reports.
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ♥
no tomorrow is the reveal date, Lynn
Thanks, Mits, for telling Jo about TV schedule---I meant to and forgot! I was looking to see if Guide was wrong!
LOL, Lynn, they already checked for that! Only found one little bean! :)
Mits, too bad weather was too crappy to search for that nest!
Only one little bean? F or M?
PAULA, about Sidling Hill...yes, that is the way to Deep Creek. Wonderful drive in the Fall. We were too late to see the beauty mountains, but still a little color.
Watching Grey's Anatomy as well as Private Practice tonight.
BBL
ROFLMBO - I bet you all thought I had lost my memory again
BONES is what I watched.....
Fooling around now & then will watch my
Mentalist...... I think Red John is about to come into the picture again
My Still Cam is up/running
Oh, thought Paula said they would be stopping with the results tonight.
Oh, yeah, Jo....looks like Red John is REALLY going to surface in a big way!
And how 'bout Criminal Minds last night with that baddie back in the mix?
Lolly - they checked the bean count quite awhile ago, but it was way too early to check sex....sonogram for DIL is tomorrow morning...will find out sex then.
Thunderstorm here now!
Stopping by to good night. Pouring rain here. Will had to go unclog a gutter in the mess. Glad he is here to take care of it. If the gutter gets stopped up, the basement floods.
Yes Lynn, both of those shows have the bad guy in the closet & looks as though they are bringing them out.
Remember Cold Case and the Grave Digger
The suspense brings the viewers back!
Yes, thunder and lightning here, too.
Just heavy rain here for now and 52°
It's 60° in OC
Shirley have a restful sleep!
Good night all. Pleasant dreams.
Thanks, Jo. I am pretty tired.
Looks like Grey's will be off until after New years...
Amazing eagle rescue and recovery story with really nice pics!
Tiny the Eagle
yeah they wrapped that episode up all up in a tidy box...got all 3 holidays..was surprised they actually were play real Christmas songs in the background
And this is the place that is caring for Tiny...pretty neat and interesting how the center runs...and the partners involved.
